Commander Abhilash Tomy is a retired Indian Navy officer, naval aviator, and yachtsman. He is known for being the first Indian to complete a solo, non-stop circumnavigation of the world under sail in 2013, and the first Indian to compete in the Golden Globe Race in 2018.Tomy retired from military service in 2021 to prepare for the 2022 Golden Globe Race. He finished second in the race.
