Mateen Arghandehpour is a scholar of Islamic and Persianate intellectual history and a researcher with the Invisible East Project at Oxford University. His work focuses on the transmission and evolution of Islamic thought, particularly within the context of Shi'i theology, philosophy, and Persian-language traditions. At Invisible East, he contributes to the study of previously underexplored documentary sources that shed light on the social, legal, and cultural history of Eastern Islamicate societies. Arghandehpour’s research is distinguished by its integration of textual analysis and historical inquiry, advancing the understanding of religious and intellectual developments in the medieval and early modern Persianate world.
