Dr. Matthew J. Wolf-Meyer is an anthropologist and historian of science and medicine whose work focuses on American science and medicine, particularly neuroscience and psychiatry. Currently, he is a professor of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.Previously, Wolf-Meyer was a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute for Advanced Study at Tampere University in Finland, and an Associate Professor in Anthropology at Binghamton University. He has also held faculty positions at Wayne State University and the University of California, Santa Cruz.Wolf-Meyer's first book, "Unraveling: Remaking Personhood in a Neurodiverse Age," was published in 2020.
