Elliott Kalan is a writer, comedian, and podcast host best known for his work as the head writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he earned multiple Emmy Awards. Kalan has contributed to numerous comedic and literary projects, including co-hosting the popular movie podcast The Flop House, which humorously critiques bad films. He has also written comic books, such as Spider-Man & the X-Men for Marvel Comics, and created the children’s book Horse Meets Dog.

Roman Mars, born on October 16, 1974, is the host and producer of 99% Invisible, a KALW radio show and podcast, and a founder of the podcast collective Radiotopia. He has also contributed to radio programs such as Radiolab and Planet Money. Fast Company identified him as one of the hundred most creative people of 2013.

Christopher Johnson is a reporter for The Stakes, audio journalist, co-host of The Realness, and producer of the Slow Burn Podcast.

Emmett FitzGerald is a producer for 99% Invisible Podcast, and formerly worked with PRI’s Living on Earth as a reporter.

Vivian Le is an audio and television producer from Los Angeles. Before joining the 99pi team, she primarily produced very strange talk shows, so she is very excited to be here. One of her favorite naturally occurring phenomenons is when dogs and their human owners look like each other.

Kurt Kohlstedt is an author, editor, founder of a series of digital magazines, including WebUrbanist, and digital director & web producer for the 99% Invisible Podcast.

Gabrielle Berbey is a documentary filmmaker, multimedia journalist, editor, and producer. Currently, she is a producer at Vox Media, where she produces for their podcast "Today, Explained."Previously, Berbey was an Associate Producer at WNYC, where she produced "The Experiment." Before that, she was an Assistant Editor at PBS, where she worked on Ken Burns' series about Muhammad Ali, and as a Production Assistant for the show "Frontline."Berbey received her B.A. in Film, Video, and Photographic Arts and Human Rights from Bard College.

Neena Pathak is a freelance writer, audio producer, and editor.Previously, Pathak was been a Supervising Editor at NPR, where she worked on "Invisibilia." Before that, she was a producer for the New York Times show "The Daily." She was also showrunner for the NYT show "Still Processing." Prior to that, she show-ran "Another Round" at BuzzFeed, worked on a variety of public radio podcasts at American Public Media, and got her start at the Transom Story Workshop.

Katie Thornton is an independent multimedia journalist. Her work focuses on public history, from explorations of how and where we remember the dead, to the spectacle of early American urbanization, to our present-day news, food, sport, and culture.Thornton's documentaries stories have appeared on 99% Invisible, the BBC, National Public Radio, WNYC, Minnesota Public Radio, Lantigua Williams & Co., and others, and her articles and essays have appeared in The Washington Post, National Geographic, National Geographic History, National Geographic Traveler, Atlas Obscura, Wildsam Field Guides, and more.Thornton received her B.A. in American History from Oberlin College, where she was also worked at the college radio station, WOBC Oberlin College and Community Radio.

James Parkinson is an audio producer and journalist in Melbourne. He has produced stories for 99% Invisible and NPR. He also created the award-winning podcasts Gameplay and By Association.

Christina Cauterucci is a staff writer at Slate Magazine, editor of Where the Girls Go - a blog, and host of two Slate podcasts.

Lasha Madan is an audio documentarian and freelance audio producer. Currently, she is an associate producer for the podcast "99% Invisible."Previously, Madan was a producer for the "Canadaland" podcast. She also ran the progressive political podcast, "Commons." She started her career in radio, as News Director and volunteer DJ at KALX in Berkeley CA.Madan received her B.A. in Political Economy in 2016.

Sam Greenspan is a freelance journalist.Previously, Greenspan was a producer at VICE, where they produced "Vice News Reports." They have also produced for USA Today's "The City," Radiotopia's "Spacebridge," and NPR's "The TED Radio Hour." They were a founding producer at "99% Invisible."Greenspan has also taught radio at Stanford University, UnionDocs, New College of Florida, YR Media, and The Writing Pad.Greenspan received their B.A. in Anthropology from New College of Florida.

Jay Cockburn is a freelance journalist and podcast producer. He is the lead producer for "Darts and Letters," and he produces for "99% Invisible," Vocal Fry Studios, and others.Previously, Cockburn was a producer, reporter, and director for BBC Radio.

Sofie Kodner is a journalist and documentarian. Her interest is in reporting on the nexus of history, design, and culture.Kodner's work has appeared in 99% Invisible, WBUR, KQED, The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Kaiser Health News, CalMatters, KALW, Protocol, the Jackson Hole News and Guide, and more.Kodner received her B.A. in International Relations from Tulane University and her M.A. in Journalism from the University of California Berkeley.

Gabe Bullard is a freelance journalist, writer, and audio producer. His work largely focuses on nostalgia and popular culture. He is interested in how culture and technology shape our identities and our perception of time. Currently, he is a managing producer for the NPR and WBUR show "Here & Now."Bullard received his B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Webster University and his M.A. in Literature, Culture, and Technology from American University.
