Dr. Sally Gregory Kohlstedt long-standing interest in science and math is combined with her fascination of uncovering the past. Although historically there is a long tradition of women engaged in science and technology, twenty-first century feminists, scientific leaders, and the press continue to express concern about the level of women's participation and distribution across investigational categories. In this lecture, Dr. Gregory Kohlstedt recaps the history that reveals the strategies and the struggles of prominent women like Marie Curie, as well as the ways that women in a variety of occupations have participated in the technoscience enterprise and influenced the science that shapes daily lives.
