Russ Taff burst onto the Christian music scene with The Imperials in 1977. Grammy and Dove Awards would follow. And while his voice moved audiences, privately he battled inadequacy, fear, and eventually an addiction to alcohol. He was the product of an abusive upbringing with an alcoholic father, who also happened to be a fire and brimstone preacher. Russ's story is a painful one...but it's also a reminder of Romans 8:28. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." In Part One....Russ reflects on his childhood and God's call on his life.
