Brandon "Jinx" Jenkins is an Editorial Producer at Complex Media—writing, producing, and serving as the founding on-air correspondent for Complex News. He is also the host of Gimlet's Mogul season 2.In daily video segments, interviews, and live on-location reporting, Brandon sheds light on developments in the world of music, pop-culture, style, sports, and global current events through the prism of youth culture. From SxSW Music Festival in Austin to NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans to protests in Ferguson, Missouri and beyond, Brandon is speaking on the stories of the day, where they happen, and to the people in those places who impact those events the most. Prior to Complex, Brandon was the Content and Programs Manager at Mass Appeal Magazine, where he worked on the relaunch and growth of the Mass Appeal brand, building experiential programs and creating prototype video content. He also served as a contributing writer and photographer to both online and print editions of the publication. Before that he worked at Decon—with both their creative content studio and record label—and also served as an intern at Steve Stoute's Translation media agency. Brandon is a New Jersey native, a Morehouse Man, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Whether he's at work or off the clock, he remains true to his roots as a student of the culture, with an innate eye for trends, looking to find organic connections between lifestyle, content, and experience.
