Charles Smith is a New York attorney and a cannabis regulatory consultant. His law practice covers all aspects of cannabis and criminal defense as well as drug policy and criminal justice reform. Charles is intimately familiar with cannabis laws and regulations throughout the United States. He advises companies in all aspects of the cannabis industry with a focus on licensing and compliance.

Charles has worked with companies in Colorado, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Massachusetts. Charles testified on behalf of the New York City Bar Association before the New York State Assembly Health Committee.

Charles regularly presents at cannabis conferences throughout the Northeast and nationwide. He is affiliated with the New York Cannabis Alliance, the New York City Bar Association Committee on Drugs and the Law, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, the Drug Policy Alliance and the National Cannabis Industry Association. Charles is a Lifetime Member of both the National Cannabis Bar Association and the NORML Legal Committee.
