Kirk Preston Watson is an attorney and a politician. Currently, he is the Mayor of Austin TX.Previously, Watson was a Texas Senator from 2007 to 2020. Before that, he served a previous term as Mayor of Austin from 1997 to 2001.Watson received his B.A. in Political Science and his J.D. from Baylor University, where he was editor-in-chief of the Baylor Law Review. He clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Lauren McGaughy is an investigative reporter for The Dallas Morning News. She is based in Austin and works out of the Capitol bureau.

Katy Vine is a journalist. Currently, she is a staff writer and Executive Editor at Texas Monthly Magazine.Vine joined Texas Monthly in 1997 and became a staff writer in 2002. She has written dozens of features on a range of topics. Her stories have been anthologized in "Best American Sports Writing" and "Best Food Writing." Her feature story about a West Texas sting operation was the inspiration for the 2012 television series "The Client List."

Wizzie Brown is an entomologist, currently working as an Extension Program Specialist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.Brown received her BS in Entomology from The Ohio State University, and her MS in Entomology from Texas A&M University.

J.B. Hager is an audio presenter and media strategist. He produces audio for his production company, OnAirStreaming. He produces and co-Hosts "The Move Podcast," co-hosts the "Austin Found" podcast, and hosts the "Get Ship Done" podcast. He also writes a montly column for Austin Woman Magazine.Hager hosted radio morning shows in Austin for 21 years. His writing has appeared in Rare Magazine, Austin Fit, Austin Home, and Parentwise.

Eva Ruth Moravec is a journalist and producer. Currently, she is an Executive Producer at City Cast. She is also a Cofounder and Executive Director of the Texas Justice Initiative.Previously, Moravec was an associate producer of narrative podcasts for NBC News.

Scott Braddock is a journalist, editor, and Texan political analyst. Currently, he covers the Texas Legislature and politics for and edits The Quorum Report. He also co-hosts of the podcast, "Texas Take."Braddock began his began his radio career on high school radio. He worked as a disc jockey in Bryan/College Station and then transitioned into news reporting. Before joining the Quorum Report, he was the chief political reporter for Newsradio 1080 KRLD in Dallas and Newsradio 740 KTRH in Houston.
