Ian: Hello, and welcome to a bonus episode of the confident live marketing podcast.
0:35
Now, it's a bonus one, because this week, I'm actually speaking at an event
0:41
in Birmingham in the UK, it is TubeFest.
0:44
I'm very excited about this. And it's all about my talk, at least is about integrating AI and
0:49
video for authentic communication.
0:52
And that is the question. That's my question to you.
0:54
Can AI actually help us to be more authentic in a world where
0:59
AI is replacing authenticity?
1:04
You could argue, for example, You can have AI voices.
1:08
I could have an AI voice instead of this.
1:10
This is actually me speaking, I promise you, but I could
1:13
actually do a podcast where it is. It sounds like me, but it's actually AI.
1:18
And I can change things like how I look at the camera.
1:21
I can change the words. I could even put an avatar of me and my question at the beginning of my
1:28
talk, I'm not going to give away any of my talk now, because that wouldn't be
1:31
fair, because this is going out a day before my presentation, but I'm very
1:37
excited about it because I'm painting a bit of a negative picture at the
1:41
beginning, because I think there were two camps of people when it comes to this.
1:46
There were people who think AI is the most amazing thing ever, and it's
1:51
going to allow us to do so many amazing things, and then the opposite camp is.
1:55
It's taking away our jobs and our humanity and we're all gonna die basically Now, of
2:01
course, there are plenty of other views in the middle and i'm kind of i'm i'm towards
2:07
the more excited side of things But I do think we have to be careful and we have
2:12
to I think there is a middle ground that we need to A middle path that we need to
2:16
tread because Yes, there are all these amazing things that we can do, but just
2:22
because you can, doesn't mean you should.
2:25
For example, just because I can create an automated podcast with just
2:30
me speaking, is that a good idea?
2:33
Now, I think it, I'm okay with a lot of these things, as long
2:37
as you're upfront about it. If, as long as you say, this is not me, this is an AI voice.
2:43
I think that's okay. I think people are cool with it. Are you cool with it?
2:46
I don't know. Um, but I, I do think when it comes to these things, I do think we need
2:52
to think about, we need to have ethical considerations, but I do
2:57
think that using AI in our content or AI generally in our businesses
3:03
can help us to become more human.
3:05
It can help us focus on the things that we're good at and the AI can do the
3:10
things that Get in the way basically.
3:13
So actually, I think it can help us to become more creative and get away,
3:18
get us away from that blank page. For example, I've always struggled to create my newsletter content, my
3:25
blog content, my podcast content. Well, I've now developed Uh, prompts with ai, with chat, GPT
3:31
and other, um, LLMs to help me get away from that blank page syndrome.
3:36
So I've got a structure, I've, I give, um, AI my structure of what I want.
3:43
I give information about the episode, about my guest, and it comes up with
3:48
basically the text for my newsletter and for my blog post and all that kinda stuff.
3:52
Now, would it be a good idea for me to then just to use that
3:56
and go with it and pump it out? For me personally, no, I think that is a good place to start
4:03
and I can then tweak it and I can change it and I can make up my own.
4:07
I think that is a really good way of using AI, but I'd love to hear from you.
4:12
What do you think? And what I am actually thinking of doing in this podcast is to do a season, a
4:19
series on on AI and how we can use it in our marketing, in our content creation.
4:27
I'm doing so much stuff and I've realized that I'm not really sharing it.
4:31
I'm not really talking about it. And it's probably because I'm going down all these rabbit holes.
4:34
I've created all these tools that are helping me, uh, with my content creation.
4:39
I'm also helped, uh, created tools that are helping me with my emails,
4:43
uh, and communication sides of things.
4:46
And I'm very excited about it, but I think we also need to.
4:50
Think about the ethics and the morality and all that kind of stuff.
4:53
It's a very messy time. Um, so yeah, that's really all I wanted to share with you today.
4:58
Um, in my talk, I'm also going to be sharing my process of
5:03
how I create all my content. It has changed since a few years ago when I started off with live
5:09
and, and then changed it, uh, into I'll repurpose that I should say
5:14
into all this other type of content. Um, now I'm starting off with pre recorded, but I'm
5:20
recording it as if it were live. I'm using, utilizing a lot of AI in what I do, but I still, I think actually this
5:27
is allowing me to be more authentic, to be more me and to actually reach more
5:32
people, to actually create content.
5:34
That is valuable to my audience.
5:37
So what do you think? Are you using AI in your content?
5:41
I'd love to know, are you afraid of it?
5:43
Are you skeptical? Do you hate it?
5:46
It's interesting. I think there's a lot of emotional responses, quite a wide ranging
5:51
emotional response that we can have to the whole AI side of things.
5:54
But anyway, that's enough from me.
5:56
I will stop gibbering on. I've got a very creaky chair, haven't I?
6:00
I need to, I could get AI to get rid of that creak.
6:03
Or I could change my chair or maybe it doesn't matter.
6:05
What do you think? Anyway, until next time, I encourage you to level up your impact
