Curry and the Keeper for April 23rd, 2025,
0:17
episode 130. And hello, my queen.
0:27
Love of my life, so grateful you are my wife.
0:29
Oh, getting a little better.
0:32
Really? That was like off the cuff. That was just like, bam, I'm just going
0:35
to blow this one out. As you walked in the door, I'm like,
0:38
I got to make artwork. We have no artwork.
0:41
So the artwork is very janky. So excuse it.
0:43
Let us cheers. Guess what? I'm drinking. It's been that kind of day.
0:47
One, two, three. Cheers, my love.
0:50
What are we drinking? Well, try it first.
0:52
Tell me what you think. Really?
1:01
You don't like it? I guess maybe because I haven't had any
1:03
wine forever. This is Barron's Creek.
1:06
Oh, that's from Paul and Ashley. Barron, 2022.
1:10
It's from Lodi, California.
1:13
Lodi? You also have Lodi, New Jersey. Not a lot of wine coming out of
1:16
there. Yeah, I wouldn't think so. This is from the oil baron.
1:18
Yes, Paul and Ashley. So there you go, Paul and Ashley.
1:22
Good work. Don't go by my reaction because I haven't
1:28
had wine in a long, long, long time.
1:31
When's the last time you had a drink? I had a drink for Annette's birthday, so
1:35
that was April 1st. Wow, three weeks.
1:39
That's a long time. That's a long time. Yeah, I'm not knocking it at all.
1:43
Today is a big day, Mr. Curry, and
1:45
I bet you have no idea what today is.
1:53
You don't. Four years ago, God changed the trajectory of
1:58
our lives. Now, that's something I don't have in my
2:03
calendar. Yes. Four years ago, we came to see this
2:07
house, and we decided that day that we
2:11
were going to buy the house. Gosh, you remember these things.
2:14
I do. That is so good of you. I'm so sentimental that way.
2:18
I bit my tongue again. Is that on the day that we came
2:21
to see it or the day we came back to buy it?
2:23
No, the day we came to see it, we walked out, and we were like, we're
2:27
buying this house. Yeah, yeah. We want this house.
2:29
That was four years ago today. Four years ago. Amazing. I know.
2:31
Let me cheers again. Cheers. Cheers again.
2:34
Hello, house. Hello, house.
2:36
What a beautiful house. Let me see. Let me see if this thing opened up
2:39
at all. Okay. Let's swirl it around.
2:42
It's not a bad wine. I mean, I've been drinking it at dinner.
2:46
Oh, it's better. It's opened up. Oh, it's all good.
2:49
It's all good. I'm going to be flushed by the end of the show. It just needed to open up a little
2:53
bit. You're driving, by the way, so I guess
2:56
I'm driving. Okay. Oh, I can drive.
2:58
Okay. So it is, everybody, CKSAT is over.
3:03
Yes. And not that we're looking for any accolades
3:07
or notes of appreciation, but we're really doing
3:10
the show on a day when we really
3:13
have no time to do the show. It is, and we are smashing this in.
3:17
It's crazy. So we're not at our normal time.
3:20
And we didn't even get to go on our day date today because- We gave
3:23
up our day date for the show. Yes.
3:25
For the show, I'm telling you. I hope you're happy, Vineyard Nation.
3:28
Yes. We gave up the day date for the
3:30
show. So we're actually doing the show in the middle of the afternoon and not at night
3:33
because we are going to a wedding at 5.30. Who does a wedding on Wednesday
3:37
at 5.30? Our anger management, our friend with anger management
3:41
issues. He's getting married. Our former cop with anger management issues.
3:44
Yes. He's getting married today. Hey, that's smart.
3:47
I'm sure he got it for a deal. What day did we get married?
3:49
On a Saturday? Really, Mr. Curry?
3:53
Really? I know the date. I just don't remember what day of the
3:57
week it was. It was Sunday. We got married on Sunday. I knew it was Sunday because we didn't
4:00
do a show. Yeah. We didn't do a show. There was no no agenda show.
4:03
Yeah. You know, I just said, Mr. Curry, and I have to say this.
4:06
I'm going to embarrass her. So my friend Peggy sends me this letter
4:09
in the mail. She wanted to show me her new promotional
4:12
flyer. This is Peggy? The Peggy? The Peggy. And so she's got on the front of
4:15
the envelope, Tina Snyder and Adam.
4:18
Whoa. I know. So I took a picture of it.
4:21
I go, what is wrong with this photo?
4:24
That is a faux to the pas if I ever heard one.
4:26
She said that her husband, Scott, was like, he was not happy with her.
4:30
He's like, you're going too fast.
4:33
You need to slow down. But Peggy does not slow down.
4:35
I was like, I'm just teasing you. It's OK. I said, I call Adam Mark all the
4:39
time. No, you haven't done that in a while.
4:41
No, I haven't. I don't think I've ever called you by
4:43
any of my ex-wives names. Oh, my gosh. I would be, my head would be on
4:46
a swivel like, huh? Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
4:49
This is the difference between you and me, men and women.
4:52
Boys and girls, chicks and dudes. We have double standards.
4:55
It's just the way it is. OK. You're just going to have to be on
4:57
board with it. OK. Well, if it ever happens that I can
5:00
just double standard, double standard, double standard. Deal with it.
5:03
I am very good at blocking certain things
5:06
from my speech. Are you? Yes. But look how I went from cussing nonstop
5:11
to not cussing. No. It didn't take long.
5:14
So you're as disciplined as I am because
5:16
you stopped smoking on a dime.
5:19
You stopped cussing on a dime. Now we just need you to cut down
5:22
to one glass of wine on a dime. It's been...
5:25
Yeah, you've been slowing down. Yeah. Yeah.
5:27
Yeah. Well, I barely drank anything on my trip
5:30
in Amsterdam. Oh, that's right. Yeah. I went to Amsterdam.
5:33
You did. I went to the Netherlands. I went to the lowlands for a little
5:36
jaunt. That's right. You went across the pond. I did go across the pond.
5:39
And I went to Nashville, or Crashville as
5:41
they call it. Why do they call it Crashville? Crashville.
5:43
Because there are so many accidents out there. Really? In Nashville?
5:46
Yes. Oh, I didn't know that. Well, let's back up. We got to go back.
5:49
We got to go back to... Yeah, we got to go back 14 days
5:51
or something. We got to go back to the worship night. We only have an hour.
5:55
Yeah, I know. I'm looking at the clock. Okay, we got 54 minutes left.
5:58
Yes, the worship night. The worship night. And if you didn't see the newsletter, too
6:02
bad for you. You didn't see the newsletter. Oh, too bad. But you should take a look at the
6:05
newsletter. What...
6:07
Okay, you kick it off, and I'll jump in and add color.
6:10
Well, we had about, I don't know, 25,
6:12
27 people here. Yes. And we had invited this trio to come
6:16
in. We had... We talked about this on the other shows.
6:19
We had worship night at Pastor John's.
6:22
And they came, and we were just blown
6:24
away. And we invited them to come, and we
6:27
wanted all of our friends to partake. And so I sent out the invitation to
6:32
our closest friends, and we had some little
6:35
snackies, and I asked them to bring what they were drinking.
6:37
And so we had an array of food, and then we sat down, the trio sat
6:41
down, and they started to play their music.
6:43
Yeah, we had all the... Did we take any pictures, actually?
6:46
I did not, no. I didn't take any pictures either. No.
6:48
Everyone was... We had all the chairs. Everyone was sitting down.
6:51
And then we had a... It was...
6:54
We had no idea how that would work in our house.
6:56
And I think the acoustics, by the way, worked out really well.
6:59
Yes, yes. Because we have a very high ceiling. Yes. And it worked out fantastic.
7:02
Even the band, they're like, wow, this is good acoustics in here.
7:05
We like this, yes. Yeah, yeah. Although I'm glad that Colleen...
7:08
At first, I couldn't hear her as well, and when she sat on the floor, I
7:11
could hear her beautifully. But it was...
7:14
For an hour, they played music, worship music.
7:17
And it was just lovely, and the Holy
7:20
Spirit was just right there, and it was so beautiful. Yeah.
7:22
It was so beautiful to just worship to God. Not amplified, by the way.
7:25
No, it was not amplified. Unplugged.
7:27
Unplugged. And everybody enjoyed it. Annette said something.
7:30
She said, you know, next time, definitely have words to the song, which I think is
7:34
good. I missed that too. Yeah, yeah.
7:36
I'm like, where's my screen with the lyrics? Because some songs, people were singing along because
7:41
we knew them from church, and everyone's singing them, and it got really nice and loud.
7:45
And then other songs, we're like... Jesus.
7:51
Mouthing, like looking over. Anyone else know the lyrics to this?
7:54
I don't know the lyrics to this one. But I loved it, and what you got
7:58
up and said a few words, and I said, you know, we hope that this inspires
8:01
you to host a worship night in your
8:04
house because it's just so lovely. And so towards the end...
8:08
No, it was the end. Colleen, the woman in the trio, she goes...
8:14
Did you build this house that way? No, she said, I love the big cross
8:17
in your house. And I go, what? What cross?
8:20
What? You don't see the big cross in your
8:23
house? And I said, no. And she pointed to, and you have to
8:26
read the newsletter if you want to see it. If you're on the newsletter, you're just a
8:29
loser. And the way that this house was built,
8:32
there are... I'm going to put it in the show notes. Okay, the way the windows are and the
8:36
door, it is a huge cross in our
8:39
house. And Adam, think about that. Four years ago, God brought us to this
8:42
house. We had no idea. Brought us to this community.
8:44
We had absolutely no idea.
8:47
No idea. And this house is even more special now
8:50
that it was built for us. Meant to be.
8:53
God was just waiting for us. Meant to be. It wasn't...
8:55
That was one of the coolest revelations that...
8:58
It was crazy how cool that was. Yes, it was really cool.
9:01
So we have a cross in our house. We don't need any of those small crosses
9:04
on the wall. We got a big one. And when people see it, you'll understand what
9:07
we're talking about. Just talking about it doesn't really do it
9:10
justice, but when you see it, it's like, oh my goodness.
9:12
It's the whole side of the house is
9:15
a cross. And once you see it, you can't unsee
9:18
it. You can't unsee it. you can't unsee it.
9:20
It's great. It's so cool. Yes.
9:22
So cool. It was very cool. And there were some people who really got
9:27
into the worship and were like, I needed that so much.
9:30
Yes. Yeah. Because people get stressed when they're running around
9:33
doing stuff like me. Yeah, I know.
9:35
It was nice for me to... Just exhale.
9:38
Yeah, it was. But there was a big controversy and people
9:40
didn't understand whether I should have food or not because they were like, you shouldn't have
9:43
food when you worship. And I'm like, well, they asked me to
9:46
feed them, they being the singer, the worship
9:49
team. They asked me to feed them.
9:52
And sure enough, after it was over, people
9:55
were eating everything. Noshing like nuts. Almost everything went, which I was so happy.
9:59
There was just a little bit of skewer left for me because you were leaving the
10:03
next day, right? the next morning, I got up and met
10:05
Pastor Jimmy and Annette.
10:08
That was kind of cool. We met out at HEB.
10:10
No, at Walmart at the automotive parking lot.
10:13
Yeah. Like we're doing a drug deal. Hey everybody, how you doing?
10:16
And instead of a drug deal, we had a prayer circle.
10:18
Oh, we did, exactly. That was cool. That was cool.
10:21
Yeah, so I ended up going to Nashville
10:23
with Pastor Jimmy and Annette and her daughter
10:25
and Pastor Brian. And we were going specifically, there's a carnivore
10:29
meetup and Dr. Ben Cary, Ken Berry was
10:33
going to be there along with Dr. Kiltz. And these people are major, major influences.
10:39
They're the carnivore influencers. Well, they're major influences in Pastor Jimmy and
10:44
Annette's life because they, they met them before
10:48
and they basically took all their knowledge and
10:52
their information and they transformed their own lives.
10:55
Healed themselves. Healed themselves, yes, especially Jimmy.
10:58
And so, they're very loyal to this group.
11:01
And so, knowing that I'm on this carnivore
11:04
journey as well, I've lost 19 pounds by
11:07
the way. 19? Yes, I've lost 19 pounds.
11:09
Where are you? I can't see you behind the lamp.
11:12
I weigh less than Sir Brian with an
11:14
eye now. You know what's crazy? I am going up.
11:18
I know. What's up with that? I was 201 this morning.
11:21
What? After pooping. Oh, brother.
11:25
What did I do? What did I do?
11:28
I don't know. Because I was like 197. That was good.
11:31
You haven't even been eating that. What did you have yesterday?
11:33
What did I make you yesterday? Oh, I made you tacos, but.
11:36
Yeah, but still. What's happening? I'm retaining water.
11:40
Oh. I must be retaining water. Your glycogen stores are full.
11:42
My glycogen stores are full. I'm retaining water.
11:45
Huh. Anyway, getting back to the carnivore meetup.
11:48
Back to you. So, they asked me to go and I
11:51
wanted to go because I had a couple questions I wanted to ask and I just
11:54
wanted to see what this environment was about.
11:57
So, it was a nice weekend to go
11:59
there, but before we arrived on Saturday and
12:01
we went to the World Outreach Church, which
12:03
is Alan Jackson's church, which is huge.
12:08
like 10,000 huge? I have never seen anything like it and
12:12
Pastor Brian and his wife Naomi, that was their church when they lived in Nashville.
12:15
It was enormous. I mean, I've never, they had a sanctuary.
12:20
I mean, thousands of seats and then they had two spillover sanctuaries.
12:24
Their youth room was probably as big as
12:26
the Sanctuary at Bridge Church. It was enormous and so they had, they
12:30
had like their spring festivals. There were a lot of food trucks and
12:33
everything. They did service outside.
12:35
So, it was great. So, we got to do church outside and
12:38
I got to hear him preach, which I
12:41
really, I do like him a lot. I do. And so then Saturday, then we went to
12:46
the carnivore meetup and it was about an hour and a half away in this like
12:49
little town in Tennessee and a lot of
12:51
people were there, maybe 150, 200 people, a
12:54
lot of people and there were two women at our table.
12:57
Both of them had lost 100 pounds. What?
13:01
they lost 100 pounds. But you're not straight carnivore right now.
13:04
You're doing your own thing. Yeah, I'm kind of doing my own thing.
13:08
Yeah. Well, sort of. Sort of.
13:11
Kind of. Excuse me. So, but it was just so awesome to
13:15
hear all these people say to Dr. Berry
13:18
how they, how he saved their lives.
13:20
Oh, no doubt. Because he took them off the standard American
13:22
diet, which is awful for you and put
13:24
them on a carnivore diet, which is more primal eating and they restore, so many people
13:29
restored their health. So, it was interesting to hear all the
13:33
people come, go up and give their testimony. So, Pastor Jimmy and Annette went up and
13:37
they spoke. They had five minutes to speak. Everybody had five minutes to speak.
13:41
And, it was just great to be a part of it and it was great to
13:43
witness how Pastor Jimmy and Annette are celebrities
13:46
in this, in this environment. I'm not kidding you.
13:49
But they've been bringing Jesus into the community.
13:51
And people like it. Yes. A lot of Christians there.
13:54
Pastor Jimmy was talking to me about it. A lot of Christians.
13:57
Like it really, it really fits in. But they are celebs.
13:59
Let me tell you, they're celebs. Yes. I think they gave out autographs too.
14:03
Well, they did a show today. I don't know if it's dropped yet, but
14:07
they should be talking about it. Living Up and Down World.
14:09
Good podcast everybody. Yeah. And doing video now.
14:12
Yes. Including Daymonette on video.
14:14
I know. She wasn't too happy about it. No, she wanted the Elizabeth Taylor treatment.
14:18
Oh, did she have a filter? She wanted a filter.
14:20
That's what she wanted. I don't know if she got it. I told Pastor Jimmy, I said, just tell
14:25
her that her inside is so beautiful that
14:27
Pastor Jimmy actually needs a filter. That her beauty will drown him out.
14:32
It just radiates. Yes, it does. It does. But so, so what was kind of funny
14:36
though, so we, we end up leaving.
14:38
We were there a long time, like seven, I seem like six hours, seven hours.
14:42
Wow. That is a long time. It was a long event. You know, they fed us.
14:45
It was, it was, it was good. It was very, very interesting and I enjoyed
14:48
it. So we were leaving and we were, we
14:51
were trapped. There was a car behind us and a
14:54
car in front of us and we were like, how do we get out?
14:57
And so Jimmy's like, I'm going to four
15:00
wheel it. So he goes, he goes to the left,
15:03
he kind of goes to the left over this like gravel hill and that's like screaming
15:08
in the back, you know, like Jimmy Dale,
15:10
Jimmy Dale. And so he's doing and I go, can
15:14
I talk about this on the show? He goes, yes.
15:19
So he gave me permission to talk. Obviously, obviously they made it.
15:22
He got, he, he, he definitely, I mean,
15:24
he got us, got us there. But, you know, I drove, I drove a
15:29
nuts car to the airport, to Austin.
15:32
And so he was behind me and he told me he likes the way that I
15:34
drive. Cause you know me, I'm like weaving in and out. We drive, we drive very similarly.
15:39
Yes. So, so yeah. So that was a lot of fun.
15:42
And then on, let's just go marry pastor Jimmy.
15:44
Sounds so much better. Take that back.
15:47
That is just wrong. I don't like that.
15:50
It's a joke. I don't like that joke. Um, what is a good joke?
15:54
No, it's not a good joke. That's what boys say.
15:56
No, it's not a good joke. I don't like that. Well, he does drive better than me.
16:00
This is true. Okay. Yes, this is true. Sorry.
16:02
I take it back. Yeah. I didn't, I didn't mean it.
16:04
Okay. Um, and then, so then, you know, we,
16:09
Nat and I of course did a little shopping. Oh yeah.
16:12
We had a little moment where in, uh,
16:15
and we went to Franklin in Nashville.
16:18
Oh yeah. Franklin. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Isn't that, isn't Franklin the upscale?
16:21
Yes. Very nice. Yeah. Very, very nice.
16:24
Yeah. So I'm, we're in this little section of town.
16:26
I don't remember what it's called gooseberry or something.
16:29
I don't remember. And I, you know, I was walking every
16:31
morning. We walked and I could live here.
16:33
This is great. We say that every time we go somewhere,
16:37
we could live on this island until we
16:39
experienced traffic. And I'm like, Nope, I don't want to
16:43
live here, man. How lucky are we here? As long as you don't go on main
16:46
street on the weekend, we have no traffic. I know.
16:48
So then after that, we went to dinner with pastor Brian's, uh, parents, which I really
16:53
enjoy. We met them before, haven't we?
16:56
We met them at the church. No, we met, uh, Naomi's parents.
16:59
Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, you're very lovely people.
17:01
So then of course, Brian's dad asks me about Godcaster and I'm like, well, um, and
17:06
I turned to pastor to me, I go, can you explain it? He could explain it beautifully.
17:09
So I'm like, thank you. You don't know how to explain it?
17:12
I do, but you know, I do, but he's so, he's so close to it.
17:16
Yeah. So it should be easy enough for you
17:19
to explain it. I'm failing. No, you're not.
17:21
But here was one of the highlights. So after dinner, it was so early cause
17:25
we had early dinner and that's like, what
17:27
do you want to do? I go, let's go to crumble cookies.
17:32
Oh man. So you had all the carnivore, all, all
17:35
healthy all day. And then let's balance this out just a
17:38
little bit. So we went to crumble cookies and we got four cookies and we split them in
17:42
four and we each had one of like
17:44
one piece of each. It was fun. It was fun.
17:47
And so while I was doing that, you were gallivanting to Holland.
17:50
Well, actually, uh, Phoebe and I were home eating leftovers.
17:53
Oh, what leftovers? Didn't we have leftovers?
17:57
I can't remember what trip it was. No, you didn't leave me left.
18:00
Oh, I didn't make you anything. I didn't have time.
18:02
Oh yes. No, I had left the, the skewers from
18:05
the, the antipasto.
18:08
Yeah. First day was skewers all day long.
18:11
I ate all the skewers. Phoebe and I watched, watched more formula one
18:15
formula. Yes. Uh, but it was only, uh, no, I
18:19
see you left on Thursday. No, I left on Saturday.
18:22
I can't, I, my brain is so fried.
18:25
So Saturday, then Sunday I had, uh, went
18:29
to church early. And, uh, of course no one was at
18:31
the church. I mean, I mean, not nobody, people, the
18:34
congregation was there. Yeah. But pastor Jimmy and that pastor Brian, me,
18:38
the whole front row, except, uh, Pharaoh dot
18:43
life. Charles came in. Oh yeah. Charles came in.
18:46
And so he, he sat in the front row, the front row, we worship together and
18:50
then he shaved off his mustache, which is another shock.
18:52
It's like, okay, I gotta get you look like a young man.
18:55
No, he does. Yes. Yeah. It doesn't have that, that, that, that 70s
18:58
porn star mustache. Look, look, no, it was great.
19:03
And so we had to really, of course I couldn't really hang out with him cause
19:05
I had to boogie woogie afterwards to do
19:08
the show. But it was nice. He was there. I enjoyed it a lot.
19:11
Good. Oh, and I forgot to tell him, but
19:13
we received his donation. Yes.
19:16
From, Oh, do you have it on the, um, you have it?
19:18
I don't, I don't, but I'll put the
19:20
note. His note was sitting right here in my
19:22
desk area. Where'd you put it? Yeah.
19:25
But I, I, I'll, I'll, I'll talk for
19:28
a second. I didn't know that. I just cleaned up your desk area because
19:32
I didn't want you to complain about the desk area.
19:34
I tried, I tried to, I tried, I tried to make, don't touch my desk area.
19:38
That's the only place that I keep cleaning. I tried to keep everything nice and tidy.
19:42
I didn't want to get in trouble for the desk area.
19:44
yes. So he had sent us some lard.
19:47
Yes. Some feral life. And I just put the box in the
19:50
cabinet and I'm like, then I went to
19:52
open it up. I'm like, Oh, there's a donation in here.
19:55
So thank goodness. I, Oh, I had the foresight to why
19:59
I needed it. So I wanted to open it. You have the note, right?
20:01
So we'll do that. We'll do that in a moment. Oh, good.
20:04
Okay. Um, and so then, uh, I don't even
20:07
remember what I ate. I have no idea what went, went to
20:10
bed. I know you went to freed homes by yourself.
20:12
That's what I did. Yes. I went to freed homes.
20:15
Thank you for reminding me Sunday night, Sunday
20:17
night. Yeah. And it was nice.
20:19
You know, just sitting by myself at freed
20:21
homes. It's such a nice place to just go
20:24
and sit down. No one bothers you. You know, it's just like food, good food.
20:28
I had a rib. I think actually had a whole, I think
20:32
I had a whole bunch of stuff. I think I had a ribeye.
20:34
I think I had a, uh, gosh, my
20:38
brain is, it's because you're burning the candle
20:41
at both ends. We talked about them. I am.
20:43
I am. You are. I never see you.
20:46
You're working all the time. Oh, okay.
20:51
Okay. Okay. So this morning I get up, I said,
20:54
I'm going to cancel all my meetings so we can, we can do a, uh, so
20:59
we can have our lunch. You're like, Oh, this is messing up my
21:02
brain, man. I had already figured we couldn't do it.
21:04
And I need to do my hair. I need to walk into it.
21:06
We need to work out. So, you know, I, I know because we
21:09
had, we had talked last night about not
21:11
being able to go to lunch today because there was so much on the calendar and
21:14
we wanted to record the show. And so when I woke up in the
21:18
morning, I literally rearranged my schedule in my
21:21
brain. And then you get up and you're like,
21:23
I got a message from God. I did not say that.
21:26
I did not say that, but it was
21:28
a message from God coincidentally, but I didn't
21:31
say that. I said, I, I, the first thing I
21:33
thought of this morning was Tina's much more
21:36
important than any of these other things. And, uh, so clearly, of course my hair
21:41
is more important than me. Well, there you go.
21:44
I had to wash my washing my hair.
21:47
It's just like, it's a huge ordeal. It's like, it's like driving to Austin.
21:51
And then you, but just before the show starts, Tina puts her headphones on.
21:54
The headphones are going to mess up my hair. I know.
21:57
Anyway, it's much appreciated. But yeah, I, uh, so I left, um,
22:02
Monday. Yes. Uh, to fly to Amsterdam.
22:05
Uh, very uneventful travel.
22:08
It was a travel favor all the way.
22:10
Got in, um, got situated.
22:13
Then I went to see my old friend, Yope.
22:15
Yope. He was now 84 on the little houseboat
22:18
with his, did he serve any food? His wife made, she's so cute.
22:22
He said, um, do you want to stay
22:24
for dinner? I said, well, yeah, I'd love to. I mean, I said, I'd come by at
22:27
four hoping you would invite me. I wasn't going to invite myself.
22:30
I said, do you want a macaroni and cheese or this other thing that I made?
22:34
I said, well, you mean you made a special meal? Yes, I did.
22:37
Well, then why are you offering Mac and cheese? He said, just in case you didn't like
22:40
it or didn't want to try my food. I want your food.
22:43
It was another Dutch dish.
22:46
It had like potatoes. It was, it was like a castle, um,
22:50
casserole potatoes and, uh, ground beef and spicy
22:54
Indonesian spices, uh, covered with a layer of
22:57
molten cheese. It was really good.
23:00
Did you eat a lot? I ate a lot. Did she have enough?
23:02
Cause you eat a lot. You're a volume eater now. That's why you're 201.
23:08
I'm wagging my finger at her right now.
23:10
Yes. Uh, will you be able to get in
23:12
your suit? Oh, don't even, don't even, don't even get
23:15
me started. Don't even get, yes. If I breathe in, I will be able
23:19
to, um, you know, you're, you're, you're throwing
23:22
me off, man. I'm sorry. I'm worried about my suit.
23:26
The casserole. It was a really nice, it was really
23:29
nice. You know, I've known him since I was 16, 15 or 16.
23:33
So it was really nice to catch up. And you know, you never know when, when
23:37
you, when you want to go and they might not be there. So, and how did you meet Yop?
23:41
When I was into, uh, so CB radios
23:44
were illegal in Holland. And I bought one on one of our
23:47
vacations and brought it back. And all of a sudden I hear this,
23:50
all these other people have these CB radios. And I find out that it's all illegal
23:54
in Holland. And you know, I didn't have a proper
23:57
antenna. And this one guy, his call, his call
23:59
sign was Jupiter. Uh, I was T bird.
24:03
He was Jupiter bird. Yeah. Why not a bird?
24:06
These were the days of Greece. Oh, Oh, I was a 13 year old.
24:09
Thunderbird. Yes. I was 15.
24:13
Okay. And, so he was helping me out with,
24:15
um, uh, with my antenna stuff.
24:18
And then, uh, Hans and I, my, my
24:20
friend Hans, who you met in Barcelona. I've known Hans for a while, Adam.
24:25
I didn't just meet him in Barcelona, but
24:27
did you know that he also, you want to slap me?
24:30
Did you know that he also had an illegal CB radio?
24:33
No, but the way you said, you know, my, my friend Hans that you met in
24:36
Barcelona. I was, I was saying it for the
24:38
listener. So the listener could recall, we were talking
24:41
about, it's called podcasting.
24:44
Maybe you've heard of it. Uh, so we would get, we had this
24:47
little boat, I had this, I had this
24:50
little boat with a, like really like a
24:52
dinghy more with a huge oversize outboard motor.
24:56
Bought it, traded it from a stamp collection. Oh, with a, with an outboard motor.
25:00
Cause then you would go down the canals. Yeah. We go all the way to Finca Fane,
25:04
which is a little bit from where I live. Uh, and we camp on the outboard motor.
25:07
Cause then he, at that point, yeah, that
25:09
Hans and I went camping a lot. Yeah.
25:11
We would just go camping in the farmland. You bring food and stuff?
25:14
Yeah. With, you know, and buns and burners and
25:17
like cans of corn, no cans of corn
25:20
and beans and you know, sausages in the
25:23
can. Yeah. It was camping. This was our camping days.
25:26
Oh, those like little sausages. Yes.
25:29
Gross. Okay. They were good at the time.
25:31
Okay. You know, and, and so we'd, we'd hang
25:35
out and then we'd go visit him and he had, he had a boat there, not
25:38
just the houseboat, but he had a boat and it was a whole community of people,
25:41
of these, these CB radio guys.
25:44
And we hang out and we do the Fox hunt.
25:46
You know what the Fox hunt is? No. So someone's the Fox.
25:51
Was Yope the Fox? No, no.
25:53
It changes, you know, whoever catches the Fox
25:55
is the Fox next week. So it typically works with cars, but it
25:58
works with boats too. So you'll have an area, a radius of
26:02
say 20 miles. And someone will go in their car and
26:06
park somewhere inconspicuously.
26:10
And they'll broadcast every three minutes and say,
26:13
this is the Fox, the Fox for all you Fox hunters. See if you can find me.
26:16
And you'd have to use directional finders to
26:19
find the signal. And then you have to wait another three
26:22
minutes to find for the next signal. And then you get closer and closer.
26:25
And whoever found the Fox first was the
26:27
winner. And then you were the Fox next week. So we also did this with boats.
26:31
Oh, I know you're under, but there are
26:35
people out there right now who are going, I used to do that.
26:37
Well, it sounds like you had a full childhood, so that's good.
26:41
Yeah. Yeah. Well, so he, he was definitely a father
26:44
figure. Okay. Yes. And he, so he basically watched you grow
26:47
up. Totally. That's pretty cool. And throughout the years I've been to visit
26:50
and just, you know, now when I go back, like just stop by for a couple
26:53
hours, cause you know, he's 84. Yeah. Nice.
26:56
That's so lovely that you carved out time to go see him.
26:58
Yes. So then by the time, you know, so I'm home.
27:01
Then I was really tired. Boom. Slept.
27:04
Now it's a Wednesday and Wednesday is the,
27:06
the big 80th birthday for Lex. My first boss who hired me when I
27:10
was 19. And this was fantastic.
27:14
There were 200 people there. I knew at least 150 of them.
27:18
And half of those 150, I did not
27:22
recognize as that being them. And they all recognize me.
27:25
Hey, Adam, how you doing? I'd be like blank stare.
27:29
And I didn't, I decided that when I didn't know, I just say, I'm sorry.
27:32
I don't remember. Yeah. And, and then it would say, Oh, I'm
27:35
so-and-so. Oh, Oh my gosh.
27:37
Yes. But a lot of people I did recognize.
27:40
So these are all people that, that Lex
27:43
loves and cherishes. Right. Who have been there throughout, you know, his
27:46
entire life and professional career, including both of
27:49
his ex-wives. Yes. That was interesting.
27:52
They both came. Yeah. Your two, your ex-wives are not coming
27:55
to your 80th. I don't think so. No. And, and, um, uh, but even, the lady
28:00
who ran the, uh, the lunch room for
28:03
many, many years who basically fed me when
28:05
I was 19 years old, she was there
28:08
and it, it was just a good, they had bands performing.
28:10
So did they have a sit down dinner or was it a buffet or?
28:13
A buffet, but then, you know, he had multiple rooms.
28:15
He had wine bars in different, it was a castle, wine bars in different rooms and
28:19
this big room. And that was kind of, um, um, dressed
28:23
up like, um, like a Casablanca.
28:26
Oh, nice. And Lex had a white tuxedo on.
28:29
And I'd say half the people got the memo and dressed up nice, like me.
28:33
Yes. You know, and, and had the suits on
28:35
and looked handsome. You did. And it was, it was just good time
28:40
bringing back memories. So was the paparazzi outside of the venue?
28:45
no, no paparazzi. No, it was, it was kept pretty quiet.
28:48
Okay. And there was, you know, um, I mean,
28:50
yes, there were people who are currently also famous, but I would say the majority no
28:55
longer. It's long, long gone.
28:57
Glory gone. Well, and you love Lex.
29:00
And so it was so nice. I do. I do. Yeah.
29:02
And they asked you where I was. Everybody asked where I was.
29:06
Everybody asked where I was. Not you. Everybody asked where you were.
29:13
And I said, you said, I said, I
29:18
wouldn't let her come. I didn't want her hanging around.
29:23
I know I wasn't invited. I was not invited.
29:26
You were invited. I was not invited.
29:28
So you would have, I was right about this because you would have known nobody.
29:33
Everybody's speaking Dutch about good old times.
29:35
You would have been very bored.
29:38
Yeah. I didn't want to go. Yeah. I mean, the only, you would have known
29:41
Jeroen. He was there, but that would have been about it.
29:43
No, I would not. And I would have been clinging onto you
29:45
and you wouldn't have had an opportunity to talk to people.
29:48
And no, I just, no, no thanks.
29:52
Exactly. I'm glad you went though. And it was a tight turnaround because Thursday
29:56
I did the show, which of course lasts up until midnight.
29:58
So I prepped all day Thursday, did, you
30:01
know, had a quick Whopper. Cause you know me, I stay at the
30:04
airport hotel. You can walk right into the airport and
30:06
get yourself a Whopper. Yep. That's perfect.
30:08
That's what we did. That's perfect. Did this, of course I'd forgotten to get
30:12
myself any wine. So it's, you know, by the time we're
30:14
done, it's 1 a.m. Like, oh, I
30:17
wish I had a wine night. And nothing was open.
30:19
yeah. And then, uh, now I went to bed
30:21
then Friday. But no, Thursday he started to get sick.
30:24
You were sick? During the show. Yeah. So of course I picked up some bug.
30:28
See, this is another reason it's good you weren't there because man, if we were both
30:33
sick, you would have been very mad at me. Like at Christmas.
30:35
Yeah. Yeah. You would have been very mad at me. Yes. And cause it would have been all my
30:38
fault then. Yeah. Of course. You forced me to come to this thing.
30:41
Yes. Um, so yeah, I started to get sick.
30:44
I just, you know, uh, runny nose.
30:47
It wasn't too bad, but I knew something
30:49
was going on. Um, but then bring any ivermectin with you.
30:52
I did not. And you have to get, when you start
30:55
feeling sick, you have to start pounding it.
30:57
Yeah. So I'm like, ah, cursing myself.
30:59
I know. Uh, but then I went to see my daughter and her, I'm going to call him
31:03
fiance because well, no, that is not that
31:06
he is not her fiance. He has not asked her to marry him.
31:10
Yeah. Yeah. But you cannot, you cannot get in front
31:13
of that. Okay. Yeah. Boyfriend living.
31:16
How about we call him a Beyonce? Boyfriend, fiance, Beyonce.
31:21
Hey, there's the show title. Beyonce.
31:25
You spelled Beyonce wrong, man.
31:28
B-I-A-N. B-I-A-N-C-E.
31:32
Yes. Beyonce. Nice. Um, and so, or boy, Boyance.
31:38
No, Boyance. No, I don't like Boyance.
31:40
Um, and so Christina had reserved time for
31:44
us at the VR experience. Yes. The virtual reality experience, which was quite mind
31:50
blowing. Um, you go in, it's a big room.
31:54
Y'all get your VR headsets on, you've got your weapon and you're all of a
31:58
sudden you're in a dystopian world and you're
32:00
killing zombies as a team.
32:03
Yes. It was a lot of fun. I have to say.
32:05
How long were you in there? 30 minutes. Oh, wow.
32:07
30 minutes. 30 minutes. Yeah. That's long enough. And you're actually stressed when you're done.
32:12
you know, it looks stressful to me. It looked very violent.
32:15
It was super violent. I mean, you're blowing heads off and then,
32:18
you know, yes. Well, you got to double tap the zombies
32:20
in the head, two shots with a shotgun. Otherwise they come back to life.
32:24
And what happens if they get you? Then you, then all of a sudden you,
32:26
everything goes black and white. Did that happen to you?
32:30
Nine times. Okay. And then you refrag after 10, 10 seconds,
32:34
you come back to life. Oh, refrag.
32:36
Yeah. But it, you get points off your score
32:39
if you get eaten. Because you have the headphones on in this
32:41
set, you'll be like shooting zombies in front
32:43
of you. Then you hear behind you and you turn
32:46
around, there's a huge zombie and just like start shooting them.
32:49
And you can see it because they send you a video of what it looks like
32:53
in the world and just us. And you can see me like with my
32:56
arms flailing, like trying to shoot zombies at
32:59
my feet. Very fun. Yeah.
33:01
Yeah. Super fun. That was cool that she planned that.
33:03
Yeah. Very cool. And then we went to dinner and I
33:05
said, let's have a great dinner at a
33:07
great restaurant. And there's this place which is quite well
33:12
known. Is it in Rotterdam? It's in Rotterdam.
33:14
Yeah. And it's called Ono, O-N-O like
33:19
Yoko Ono. And it was a seven course Japanese fusion
33:23
meal, which was, it took four hours.
33:26
Yes. It took a long time to finish it, but it was well worth it.
33:30
Oh good. Aw. Yeah. And then by that time, you know, ready
33:33
to roll over and go to sleep.
33:35
So I had taxi, Eric picked me up, went home, got on the plane Saturday and
33:38
came home, baby. Yeah. Back to you. Working my way back to you.
33:41
I know. With a burning love inside. Came home so snuffly too.
33:45
And I was like, don't kiss me. Yeah. I cannot get sick.
33:48
Yeah. You only kissed me this morning on the
33:50
lips. I was like, yeah, I know. I'm just like, I cannot, I do not
33:54
want your ick. But so it was the night before last
33:58
night. And I'm waking up in the morning. I'm like half asleep.
34:02
And I feel your hand on my chest.
34:05
And I feel your hand moving around, moving
34:08
down to my stomach, back up to my chest.
34:10
And then I say, good morning, love.
34:13
Are you checking to see if I'm alive? And you say, yes.
34:16
Did you think I was dead next to you?
34:18
Like a cold, dead corpse? Yes.
34:21
Cause you were not even moving.
34:24
I'm like, is he breathing? No, he can't die next to me in
34:29
bed. I have to get rid of the bed.
34:34
Yes. That was your first thought. I have to get rid of the bed.
34:38
Hey, at least, at least I love you
34:40
so much. I want to make sure you're alive. Right?
34:43
I bet you do this more often. I do. You never check on me though.
34:49
No, I know. I know you're alive. No. Cause you, you sleep soundly through the night.
34:54
If I wake up and like, she's like, yeah, whatever.
34:57
Whatever. Babe, babe, babe.
35:01
So while you were gone in Amsterdam, I
35:06
went to Hank and Nancy's vow renewal.
35:09
Yes. It was really beautiful. It was really, really beautiful.
35:12
And, they held it in a gazebo in
35:16
Fredericksburg, close to downtown. I thought it was going to be at
35:18
the church. No, it was really nice.
35:21
And, um, Tommy Hayes, how was the weather?
35:24
It was a little windy, but it was, it was nice. It was warm.
35:26
But one thing that, so Hank did, he was talking about, about their love.
35:31
And he, it was interesting because he says, you know, when we started out, we were
35:34
Chinos. Chinos?
35:37
Christians in name only. Oh, isn't that cool?
35:41
Chinos. Ooh. That's another good show.
35:44
Is that with the CH? CHINOS.
35:47
And I was like, oh, and he was talking about how they, you know, their faith
35:50
has just developed and, you know, what it
35:52
meant. They're lovely people. Oh, they, they are.
35:54
They're lovely people. So it was so nice to, and I
35:57
wrote that down. Chinos. I'm going to use that.
35:59
I like that. Because there's a very, there's a big difference,
36:02
you know, Christians in name only, being actually walking the word of, walking, talking, living the
36:07
word of God. so Tommy Hayes did the, did the ceremony?
36:10
Yeah. Nice. And so they exchanged rings again.
36:12
We didn't do that. We didn't exchange rings.
36:14
I was kind of hoping for a ring, but I didn't get one, but it's okay.
36:17
Is there anything I do right? Anything except just being alive in the morning.
36:22
Oh, he's alive. Good job, son. You do a lot of things.
36:25
Right. And so, so that was lovely. And then Friday night was the big harvest
36:29
project, Texas. Good Friday concert.
36:31
And so the rev 1211 orchestra played again.
36:34
I was sad. I wasn't. Oh my gosh. It was, I would say there was a
36:38
couple hundred people there. I mean, there could have been more, but
36:40
it was, they are phenomenal.
36:43
Phenomenal. Well, how many were in the band this time?
36:46
I don't know, eight or eight again. Yeah. Cool. Cool.
36:48
The band. Yeah. And you know, I'm, so when they start,
36:51
they tell, did they do hits or did they do their own material?
36:54
No, they did. They did worship songs that we know, but
36:58
they started off talking about the story of,
37:00
of, of Jesus being crucified.
37:02
And then Saturday, you know what happens on
37:05
Saturday where it's very solemn. And then Sunday, his resurrection.
37:08
So there, so he, the music went kind
37:10
of in that vibe. And then he did a little narrative.
37:13
And they did a song. So Brandy, Brandy is sitting across the aisle
37:17
from me. I'm sitting next to Annette. Annette and I are both crying.
37:20
Brandy's crying. All our friends in the back, Debbie knows
37:23
they're crying. I mean, it was so moving.
37:26
How many people were there? You know, it was hard to say there,
37:29
there was a lot of people on the periphery.
37:31
Right. And I, you know, I had said to
37:33
the team, I said, we need signs to
37:35
say that this is a free concert. Cause I think people didn't know that they
37:38
could come and sit in the chairs. Right. So I, I want to say 150, maybe
37:42
200 people. Okay, that's worth the swag.
37:46
So we sold. And it was just, oh, it was just
37:50
lovely. I loved it. I loved it. I can't wait for the business.
37:52
Did they have words on the screen? they did. Oh man, that is so cool.
37:56
Yeah. And so they, and I can't remember the
37:58
name of the song. You would know the song if I hear
38:01
it, I could tell you, but they started very solemn in the beginning and that they
38:04
sang the same song at the end at
38:07
a much more upbeat because Jesus is resurrected.
38:10
So it was really, it was really, really
38:12
cool. Yeah. Nice. I like that. And what time did that end?
38:16
It ended at eight o'clock. Yeah, it was nice.
38:19
I loved it. You went out bar hopping. Yeah. Yeah.
38:21
I went and tied one on. Yeah. Me and Phoebe.
38:24
Yeah. No, I'm like, I got to get home. Cause I have to walk the dog and
38:27
pick up her ginormous poops. It's big these days.
38:30
Oh my God. She's on a big poop.
38:32
I'm jealous. She's so, I mean, her digestive system is
38:35
on point. Definitely on point.
38:37
On point. In the morning. I'm like, good girl.
38:39
Holy moly. Good girl. My hand is not even big enough.
38:44
I've mastered it though, in terms of like
38:46
using, turning the bag inside out like a
38:48
glove. That's how you do it. That's how you do it.
38:51
No good. So yeah. Yeah. And then I came home Saturday.
38:54
You did. And here we are. Although it's been crazy.
38:57
It's just been nuts. I know. You've been going, going, going.
38:59
And what did I do? So on, let's say Wednesday, yesterday, Monday, I
39:05
fasted. I did a 37 hour fast, which was
39:09
amazing. I was in such, I had so much
39:13
energy and I was in such a nesting.
39:16
Here's how it works from Adam's perspective. I need you to do this.
39:20
Can you come over here and take a look at this?
39:22
What's going on? You were cleaning out the pool room.
39:24
You were tightening, tidying up the garage.
39:27
I mean, you were just on fire. I was so energized.
39:29
I went, I'm going to sit in my studio and lay low before I get a
39:34
task. I don't want a task.
39:36
I have other things to do. The fasting and the nesting, I was just,
39:39
I was like, Oh, what can I organize next?
39:41
I was, I was feeling really, really good.
39:45
There's something to this fasting. I'm telling you, I like it.
39:48
People in the, in the, in the good old days, 2000 years ago, did it all
39:53
the time. It was like normal part of life.
39:55
And it's not necessarily for weight loss.
39:57
I mean, it is for cell regeneration. You know, it is for healing.
40:01
That's what I'm most intrigued about. But it's, I mean, the added benefit is
40:04
you can, you can drop a couple of pounds if you want.
40:07
So if you want to know what all this is about, Tina at curry.com, email
40:11
her, email her a lot. She can give you lots of information.
40:13
And I got an email from, let me
40:17
see, Sir Timothy talking about his own fasting
40:22
experiences. So I want to acknowledge, I know I
40:24
have not responded to Sir Timothy, but I
40:28
did get your notes. And yes, thank you for the encouragement on
40:31
the fasting. So I'm very intrigued by it.
40:33
And I'm learning a lot about it. And I like it. Autophagy.
40:37
Yes. Tele, tele Papaji, whatever.
40:42
Yeah. You know, I may have to get into
40:45
some autopsy myself to get down to one
40:47
97. Yes. Yeah. I don't know.
40:50
Oh babe. I don't know. Cause you're not really eating a lot.
40:53
So I don't, I don't understand. I think, well, I don't get it.
40:56
My head is definitely full with mucus. I don't know if that counts.
40:59
Maybe that's it. Would you like to do your God shot?
41:01
I would. It's time for Tina's God shot.
41:08
This morning, you said, Oh, this is so
41:13
good. God gives me exactly what I need when
41:15
I need it. And I'm not going to tell you cause I'm keeping it for my God shot.
41:18
Yes. But before, but hearing that thunder in the,
41:23
in the God shot thing, I have to tell, I have to share this.
41:26
So on Easter morning, early, we were hit
41:31
with thunder, major thunderstorms.
41:33
This is the third time in like two
41:35
or three weeks. But it was Easter morning. And so my sweet, lovely dear friend, Brandy,
41:39
who I just absolutely adore her. She had put in, we have a, we
41:44
have a thread with some other women where
41:46
we, we chat.
41:49
Yeah. About Jesus and about scripture. And she said that when she had heard
41:53
the thunder on Easter morning, she thought in
41:57
her head, it was God rolling away the
41:59
stone from Jesus's head. And I'm like, Oh my God.
42:03
And Annette said she thought the same thing.
42:05
Isn't that cool? Awesome. I love that.
42:07
I love that. But anyway, so I thought rain, I thought,
42:12
Oh, all the rain collection systems are going
42:14
to be filled up and we don't have one. We don't have one.
42:17
Yes. So, so as I mentioned earlier, I've lost
42:21
a bunch of weight because I've done a program and I, I reached my goal.
42:26
Yes. Yes. And you do not want me to lose
42:28
any more weight. Can I ask you a question about that?
42:30
Yes. Am I now, after 10 years of being
42:34
together, am I now finally allowed to pick
42:37
you up? Yes, you can pick me up. And can I carry you across the threshold
42:41
of our beautiful home, which you have not allowed me to do?
42:43
But what if you break your back? Oh, please.
42:47
You don't really lift anything heavy. I can lift you easy.
42:51
Oh, okay. Come on.
42:53
Give me a little bit of credit. I'm not going to say what you weigh,
42:56
but yeah, I think I can handle that.
42:59
Yeah. Yes. So anyway, so yes, I can do that.
43:02
Yes. Okay. Yes. Are you ready to race against me as
43:05
well? Yes. Make sure, make sure those skinny little legs
43:09
don't snap. skinny little legs.
43:14
Dude. So anyway, so it's so interesting because as
43:19
I've gotten on the other side of achieving my goals, new, new things have come up,
43:25
new fears, new issues, new, new, just junk.
43:29
You know, I was talking to Annette about it yesterday and I was telling her that
43:32
I was just exhausted by it all. And so I was praying this morning, you
43:37
know, and as I was praying to God
43:39
about my plight, I heard very boldly, the
43:44
Holy Spirit said to me, there's more that
43:46
you have to learn. That's why these things are cropping up, that
43:50
you have to learn to set them aside
43:52
and set the fears aside. Because weight has been an issue for you
43:54
throughout your life since you were a child. And so now I'm, I'm, I am focused
43:58
on, oh my gosh, I'm going to gain
44:00
it all back. Oh my gosh. I, you know, I'm experiencing this with my
44:05
body or that with my body. I mean, just like, like just stuff that's
44:10
just consuming me that I don't want it to consume me.
44:13
But I heard very, very boldly that, that
44:17
these are being presented because I need to
44:19
heal. I need freedom from them.
44:22
I heard that. And so, and that these additional trials are
44:28
necessary. And so I was led to Hebrews.
44:32
I just opened my Bible and was led
44:34
to Hebrews. And it was Hebrews.
44:37
Needle drop. You just opened it up. Well, I had read the first chapter of
44:40
Hebrews yesterday and then I was like, I'm
44:43
going to read. Okay. That's open my ribbon.
44:46
That's divine. Yep. And so I was led to Hebrews 2,
44:49
18, which is since he himself has gone
44:52
through suffering and testing, he meaning Jesus, he
44:55
is able to help us when we are being tested.
44:58
A reminder that Jesus is there to guide.
45:01
And this was my reminder, this part of
45:03
scripture, but this was my reminder that Jesus is there to guide me through this.
45:08
So I was like, Oh my gosh. Yeah.
45:11
Because you know, when you get into this mindset of like, Oh, fear and garbage, like
45:15
you forget, not forget, but your first inclination
45:21
is don't put your eyes on Jesus. And this, God led me to that and
45:25
said, there's more for you to heal from. There's more freedom that's coming your way, but
45:29
make sure you always keep your eyes on
45:31
him. And even though I've done that and relied
45:34
on that for, for a lot of things,
45:36
a lot, a lot of things that I have gotten freedom from, I don't say deliverance.
45:40
I say freedom. Thank you, so like when you get into
45:47
the, into the, the, the, the spiral of
45:50
it, like you just, you know, you default
45:53
to your fleshly behavior. And this was God reminding me that, no,
45:57
there's more for you. There's more coming for you.
45:59
This, there's a purpose behind this. There's a purpose behind the pain and remember
46:03
to always keep your eyes on him. So, so as I was doing my prayer
46:07
walk with Phoebe this morning, which is always
46:10
fantastic up the back road here, because you
46:12
know, at certain moments, the sun just breaks
46:15
through and shines right over that road. It's like, I, to me, as I was
46:19
like, ah, okay, God, thank you.
46:21
I got you. And I was praying about something completely different.
46:24
And what came to mind was, I don't know if it was God, whatever, but maybe
46:28
tell Tina that I put you in her
46:32
life so that you could always be there
46:36
to love her, no matter how we get
46:38
old, what we look like, what happens.
46:40
And I came in writing and I said that to you because that's what I heard.
46:46
It's like, I'm here. It's like, you're done.
46:48
Yeah. You got a man. Yeah. He's getting fat, but you know, you got
46:52
a man. It's okay, baby. I just want you to be healthy.
46:54
That's all. I forgot to mention at the party, everybody
46:59
there of course knew about and had been
47:01
speaking, I'm sure for many months about my
47:04
conversion. Yes. Conversion.
47:07
How's this called? Transformation, baby. They would call it conversion.
47:11
And many people came up and said, so,
47:14
uh, so into, into Jesus now, huh?
47:17
How's that doing for you? Yeah.
47:20
People can be very, um, very blunt and,
47:23
uh, and, but I was prepared for that. And so it was great, you know, and,
47:27
and I just told people, you know, how
47:29
I felt and, and how God and Jesus
47:32
have worked for me and the Holy spirit. But what was interesting is a couple of
47:37
people came up and said, I'm so happy
47:39
that you came out and said that because I've been a believer all these years and
47:43
I'm kind of quiet about it. Cause I just, I don't want anyone to
47:46
know. It's kind of said, oh, okay, I got
47:49
you. Yeah. Don't, yeah. And that's the one, the most unexpected people
47:52
too. Yeah, I bet. Yeah. You know, and that's the thing when you,
47:56
um, what we learned through walking with the
48:00
Jesus discipleship is don't compartmentalize yourself.
48:03
So when you're quiet about it, you know,
48:05
like don't like let your, let your Christ
48:08
light shine. And then I had dinner, had a lunch
48:11
with the woman who's going to speak at the women's ministry lunch Saturday and her, the,
48:17
the, the light from her was bright beaming.
48:21
And you can, when you're around somebody like
48:24
that, you can see it. And I love it.
48:28
And that's that, you know, and so it makes me sad when P and I know
48:31
many people come compartmentalize themselves like that because
48:34
they're afraid. Well, maybe they've become more bold now that,
48:36
that, that I've been saying this. yeah, but it was really nice to have
48:41
those people who were saying, man, thank you so much.
48:44
You know, this looks helpful or whatever.
48:46
I don't know if it's going to make a difference for them, but that was planting
48:49
your seeds. That's what, that's what God wants you to
48:51
do. I do my best. Yes. Now it's time to hear from the Coke
48:57
Soakers. That's right.
49:01
We got to hear from those Coke Soakers
49:04
now. What did you say?
49:08
What did you say? Now it's time to hear from the Coke
49:13
Soakers. Well, it's been a minute to Coke Soakers
49:16
of the Vineyard Nation, but we do have
49:19
a number of people who've supported us with
49:21
some fantastic value for value.
49:23
And if you want to learn more about that, go to curry in the keeper.com,
49:26
go to the donate page and you see
49:29
that we take anything time, talent, treasure.
49:31
Thank you as always for the people who support us and with their time and their
49:34
talent and their gifts and stuff in the
49:37
PO box. And we also have some, some funds that
49:42
came in and right at the top.
49:44
Wait, do you want to do the make good first? Yes.
49:48
Yes. Yeah. I had it on my list. Actually, we have a make good and that
49:52
is for Robert loose, Luca Dello, but captain
49:56
Luke, as he calls himself. And I have the note, which I sent
49:59
to you. And I just, first I want to apologize because he made the $500 donation at the
50:03
last show. And the note came in while I was
50:06
in Florida and I saw it and I,
50:09
it didn't register with me to file it.
50:11
Do you have it? Do you have it there? Yes. Would you mind sharing?
50:14
This was $500 that he sent for the
50:17
last episode. Yes. Hello, Tina decided that my gift, that my
50:20
gift to myself with my bonus was going
50:22
to be jumping from douche bag to being an instant salmon.
50:25
Yay. So I donated $500 today for ID purposes.
50:28
Only the name on the donation is Robert
50:31
Luca Dello on the podcast and off.
50:33
And for all of the salmon, yay. Heraldy.
50:35
I am captain Luke, baron of Sonoma County
50:38
and Commodore of all river, riverine and coastal
50:41
operations. They're in. That's a mouthful.
50:43
The evolution of curry and the keeper from
50:46
wine talk to faith journey has been wonderful
50:48
to follow. And I wish the best for both of
50:50
you. And of course, Phoebe too. Oh, I love that.
50:53
He remembers Phoebe. So, so I did, I mailed out his
50:56
glasses and captain Luke, I hope you got
50:58
them. Yes. Send a picture. Yes. Send a picture.
51:01
And thank you very much. We appreciate that.
51:03
Then another note that you have coming in
51:06
also belated is our very own Charles Mayfield
51:09
from Pharaoh dot life. Fabulous products, $250.
51:13
Yes. And it says Adam and Tina missing my
51:16
brother from another mother and sister from another
51:20
mister, my friends in Christ.
51:22
I love that Charles. He's so awesome.
51:24
Time for, for meager attempt at providing talent
51:29
and treasure to your show, as there is so much good there for those of us
51:34
asking God to provide our own keeper.
51:37
Oh, yes, he does need to keep her
51:39
enjoy the lather. And I hope to be in your presence
51:42
this summer. Reminder, I'm reading his handwriting reminder.
51:46

52:02
the Lord be with you. Thank you, Charles.
52:05
You are so sweet. We love you so much. Thanks for coming to church, man.
52:08
That was awesome. Everybody was away.
52:11
A $50 from Marco frisson, who just keeps
52:13
on donating. Keeps on donating as Katie Trimble does with
52:18
$25. You are a salmon.
52:20
Yay, girl. You need to let us know what salmon.
52:23
Yay. You'd like to have salmon. And then with a mini striper boost, 77,
52:29
77 for Brian with an eye.
52:32
Luckily he came in on time. Cause we started the show early.
52:35
Sometimes he's late. Yeah. I've been talking to him.
52:37
He's a turtle. Turtle.
52:39
Yes. He likes this girl. And he, I'm like, dude, I'm like, you
52:44
need to make a move. He's so slow.
52:47
His message, his booster gram from fountain is
52:50
as follows. Tina, what kind of message are you trying
52:52
to send by telling people that you weigh
52:54
less than me? Ladies, let me tell you, I'm perfectly sculpted
52:58
with muscles and charm, blue eyes, five 60
53:02
credit score. What? That's pretty bad, dude.
53:06
I'm everything you desire.
53:08
Oh yeah. And then some in the evening, y'all
53:12
dude. Five 60 credit score.
53:16
Thank you, sir. Brian with an eye. Oh, another mini striper boost from the O
53:22
G salmon. Yay. Oh, four sevens.
53:25
Young couple. Great to have you back. My guess is that y'all could use
53:28
some V for V vino. I'll prepare a shipment.
53:31
Sweet. Oh, we cover it.
53:35
We cover your wine. We love your wine.
53:38
We save them only for special people. We serve it to people and say, ah,
53:41
this is from our OG salmon. Yay. From his private collection.
53:44
Thank you so much, brother. Many blessings. He says, Michael.
53:48
And yet another mini striper booth.
53:50
Seven, seven, seven, seven. Uh, this is from dr.
53:57
Oh, D rock. W. Drop, drop.
54:00
W. I didn't have another name here. Hmm.
54:02
D. R. O. C. K. W.
54:05
God bless him. Welcome back. Have to reward the return to the show.
54:08
Can't wait to hear how God has revealed himself with you both during the last few
54:12
weeks. Well, you got an update. Yeah.
54:14
Adam sounds like he might need some schnitzel
54:16
to go. There's not much. There's not much.
54:19
A good pork fritter. Can't cure praying for both of you for
54:23
your health. After hearing Adam on no agenda. Thank you, Thank you.
54:26
That's sweet. Michael Hall comes in with $7.
54:29
We appreciate you, Michael. 5650 from the one and only comic strip
54:33
blogger CSB to boosting in from fountain.
54:35
He says, how do you love birds? Tina and Adam. Next time in your church, please pray for
54:39
peace in Russia. The war on Ukraine as I'm tired of
54:42
that Slavic Holocaust being slav myself.
54:45
Maybe your prayer will help. Yo, CSB.
54:49
We pray for, pray for peace everywhere.
54:52
We really do all the time. Of course.
54:54
$5 from Timothy Emery. Thank you very much.
54:57

55:00
Who says case that is real.
55:02

55:05
BWI. Brian with an eye.
55:07
Oh, sad. Not to hear Brian, but seriously, thanks for
55:11
the fun show. KTL. KTL.
55:16
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
55:24
Hello monitor atmospheres, triple seven from salty crayon
55:27
atom, and he says in the evening, everybody
55:30
for the past couple of months, I've been talking to my coworker who was a pastor.
55:34
We've been talking about God and Jesus in the mornings around that time.
55:38
He gave me a daily devotional and a bible to read over Easter weekend.
55:41
my girlfriend and I watched The Passion of the Christ, which she never watched.
55:45
It's been really interesting having the both of us try to build a closer relationship to
55:49
each other and with Jesus guiding us through
55:51
the tough times. You know what? Passion of the Christ, I haven't watched it.
55:55
You said it was very, like, heavy.
55:58
It's heavy, yeah. Watch The Chosen. And you know what?
56:01
Adam and I can attest to the fact
56:03
that in our marriage, when we put God
56:07
first in our marriage, our marriage just blossomed,
56:12
blossomed. Big time. Big time. And we already thought it was pretty good.
56:15
Yeah. Yeah. It was like on a scale of one
56:17
to 10. It was an eight and a half. Yeah.
56:20
Yeah. And now? It's a 9.95. We're 10 with a
56:23
bullet. 10 with a bullet. Thank you very much for sharing, Salty.
56:29
And 150 sats, finally, from Combsy, Pastor Combsy,
56:32
who says, earned sats from this past month
56:34
or so, because he's using Fountain. Whenever you listen, you also earn sats.
56:38
Been practicing silence and solitude this month.
56:41
Oh, wow. All right. And that is our donation, our donors for
56:46
episode 130.
56:49
Yes. Of The Korean and the Keeper broadcast. Crazy, crazy, crazy.
56:53
It's always like, you know, we love doing
56:56
the show. It's always like, oh, God do the show.
56:59
And we pulled it out of the hat for you.
57:01
And we're happy we did, because it's always fun to do.
57:03
Once we're doing the show, we love doing the show. Yes, we do.
57:06
We love doing the show. We do it as a public service, really.
57:09
We do. Go to Koreanthekeeper.com to find out more,
57:12
listen to all the back episodes. Yeah, everything's there.
57:17
Yes. Fun pictures. And remember, our cross is in the show
57:21
notes for today's episode. Yes, if you want to see it.
57:25
And, oh, time for question of the week.
57:27
Question of the week. I don't know if I can even answer
57:37
any questions. My brain is so mushy these days.
57:42
You came up with the question of the week, which means she has her answer ready,
57:45
and I get to put on the firing
57:48
line. Okay. You know, I love that jingle.
57:50
I really do. It's one of my favorites. Okay. Ready?
57:53
Yep. What is your favorite feature of mine?
57:57
Be specific, so you can't just say your face.
58:00
You know I'm a face guy. Wow.
58:07
Well, does it have to be a... You always do this.
58:11
You're qualifying things all the time.
58:13
Well, does it have to be a body feature?
58:16
No. Is that what you're looking for? No, no, no, no, no.
58:19
I really, I've always loved your voice. Oh, really?
58:23
Really now? Yes. Yes.
58:25
Really? Yeah. So, if I talked really high like this,
58:28
you probably would not have ever married me. Deal breaker.
58:31
Oh, okay. No, I've always liked, that's why I was
58:34
so adamant about doing a podcast with you.
58:37
You have an amazing voice.
58:39
You really do. So, there's a lot of features I like
58:43
about you. Really, a lot, a lot, but because it
58:49
doesn't matter if the lights are on or off, your voice is there.
58:52
Oh, that's sweet, baby. And it's a feature I like. Hey guys, I pulled that rabbit out, didn't
58:57
I? Yeah, maybe you're good looking. All right, all right.
58:59
What is your favorite feature of mine?
59:02
Hands down. My hands? No.
59:06
Hands down. Hands down. What I love most is like when we're
59:10
in bed and you make a joke or
59:13
I make a joke and you have that little chuckle laugh, the way that you laugh.
59:18
I love that. Really?
59:21
And I don't know if you're aware of that little laugh.
59:23
No. But it is so precious to me.
59:26
It is so precious. Because it's a laugh only you get.
59:29
I don't think other people get that laugh. No, no, it's just my, yeah.
59:32
And I just, it's so funny you have
59:34
this little, and you know what? When you do it next time, I will
59:37
point it out to you. Please point it out because I don't know what that laugh is.
59:39
Because it just, I just adore it.
59:42
I adore it. And I adore you. Well, I should make it your ringtone.
59:46
Well, you're going a little too far. I thought you just ruined it for me.
59:52
Hey, what do you say we get ready for a wedding?
59:54
Let's get ready for a wedding. Thank you everybody for listening.
59:57
We will be back next week. Mrs. Curry, I love you.
1:00:01
