It's a universal experience--we think our neighbors are idiots, especially the ones we're forced to get along with. The problems faced by the residents of Chekhov Gardens are ordinary ones. And what makes the show endearing, funny, and a little rage-inducing is how petty, outraged, territorial, and selfish everyone can get about them! What's worse... I don't think it's an exaggeration. An insightful satire of human nature, performed well. BONUS: By the time you're a few episodes in, you'll recognize everyone's individual email sounds, which may or may not set you off.
