Beware the MLB wild cards.

0:02

They're here to catch fire,

0:05

to bring the heat, and

0:08

light up the scoreboard. This is smudge. Because

0:11

this is the MLB post season. Buckle up. You

0:13

never know what can happen. Where

0:15

all it takes is one hot streak to

0:18

make a run for the title. Welcome

0:20

to October. The

0:24

MLB wild card series. October 1st through

0:26

the 3rd on ESPN. Fantasy.

0:31

Fantasy. Focus.

0:39

Hello and welcome to Fantasy Focus.

0:41

Football presented by Boost Mobile. I

0:43

am here with my three best

0:45

friends, three beautiful people. So excited.

0:48

Liz Loza. Stefania Bell. And

0:51

of course field Jates. Everyone knows you guys. Listen,

0:53

we had two Monday night football games. We

0:55

really had like one and a half Monday night

0:57

football games last night. We'll talk about both of

0:59

them as we always do. Stefania, we're going to

1:01

dive into a bunch of injuries with you as

1:03

well as a big waiver wire segment like we

1:05

always do on a Tuesday. But

1:08

first and foremost, how are you guys doing after

1:10

that late, late, late Monday night? I thought that

1:12

was perhaps the most enjoyable fantasy football game of

1:14

the season. There have been more dramatic games like

1:16

week one. Chiefs Ravens was

1:18

awesome. But last night everybody

1:20

just kept on scoring. Like even Sam LaPorta

1:23

had like a crazy seven plus points. He

1:26

went wild. He went nuts at tight ends. It

1:28

was a really fun game. You guys know how

1:30

like sometimes they go on a flight and you

1:32

won't get Wi-Fi. So out of the goodness of

1:34

their heart, the airlines would be

1:36

like, you know, your Wi-Fi didn't work or

1:38

like the HC was busted. Here is an

1:40

eight dollar rebate. Go towards your account to

1:42

using your next flight. I know

1:45

that's like incredibly generous of them. Very generous. Last

1:47

night, like for those of you that power through

1:49

Titans and Dolphins, we're giving you an extra four

1:52

minutes of fantasy focus today because congratulations for surviving

1:54

that. Yeah, that was that was a tough one

1:56

last night. I will dive into both of those

1:58

football games. You know what I should do. this

2:00

really quickly though just to make sure

2:02

that hey is that game worn of

2:04

course it's game worn hey pennies who

2:06

will hand this to me after the

2:08

game you can tell because we are

2:10

basically the same size yes yes it's

2:12

just been in the dryer since last

2:14

night that's how it's why rosie does

2:16

the laundry we said that's guys i wore this

2:18

all day once i got home i watched the

2:20

football game in it i slept in it and

2:22

then i just came in wearing the same jersey

2:24

because that's the kind of you know lion's

2:27

daniel are yeah that's the way it works out so

2:29

all right we're gonna get into both of those games

2:31

but first let's kick things off with the opening drive

2:36

stephanie we try to have some fun with the opening

2:38

drive i'm not sure this one is going to be

2:40

a fun situation but we did get a little bit

2:42

of an update on christian mccaffrey what can you tell

2:44

us about cmc well what

2:46

we heard yesterday was that

2:49

he has tendonitis in both

2:52

achilles tendon so it's great yeah

2:54

that's not great this and i think uh

2:56

well the headline is certainly a bit intimidating

2:59

right like everybody's like oh how

3:01

could it get any worse actually

3:03

from the world of physical therapy where i

3:05

come from it's not necessarily a surprise we

3:08

could get into all the biomechanical adjustments that

3:10

happen when you're trying to compensate for one

3:12

thing uh the fact that i've talked about

3:14

this before that he was a multi-sport athlete

3:17

including being a track athlete for years before

3:19

he switched completely to football he does

3:21

a lot of track training his track

3:23

workouts part of why he's in such

3:25

good shape it's a lot of use

3:28

on the tendons there are probably changes

3:30

in those tendons over time you overload

3:32

you get an acute exacerbation of tendonitis on

3:34

top of the calf strain these are evolutions

3:37

that you might normally see with an

3:39

athletic patient so the better

3:41

part of the news is that apparently

3:43

since he's come back from germany he's

3:45

been feeling much better there's talk about

3:47

him getting back into some ground running

3:49

workouts this coming week so i would

3:51

not panic over this i would look

3:53

at it as you hope

3:56

that the treatment to address the inflammation really

3:58

did help kind of kickstart him into

4:00

the next phase and being ability

4:02

to train and ramp up his

4:04

activity towards a return. That

4:06

being said, you can't look

4:08

for a timeline right now. This is all

4:10

about balance. It's balance of ramping up your

4:13

training and not triggering another

4:16

inflammatory setback. So I think

4:18

be patient. I wouldn't be

4:20

looking at him to come back anytime in the

4:23

next couple of weeks, but if you're interested in

4:25

McCaffrey for the back half of your season, could

4:27

really pay off. So can I ask you that

4:29

question as somebody that obviously knows way more than

4:31

my silly brain does? If you

4:33

were in a fantasy league, knowing

4:35

all the things that you know, you are in

4:37

at least one fantasy league. Wait, would you

4:40

guys actually play? Taking

4:42

the Mike Clay route here, yes. Yeah. Would

4:45

you go out if you were three and one

4:47

or four and oh and try and make a

4:49

move for CMC because you feel like there is

4:51

enough meat on the bone for the second half

4:53

of the season, or does it give you pause

4:55

given what this injury is? Yes, in

4:57

other words, there's both. But you

5:00

have to be willing to take risk because

5:02

if I were to sit here and tell

5:04

you like, oh, definitely, it will be fine

5:06

because now that we've had this and he's

5:08

had this treatment, he's going to ramp up,

5:10

he's going to be fine, there's no way

5:12

to know that. The people who are working

5:14

with him don't know that. Christian McCaffrey doesn't

5:16

know that. You are on a program that

5:18

is geared at making these steps towards getting

5:20

you back to being able to play football.

5:22

And you're looking at a calendar where you're

5:24

targeting a return that will get you through

5:26

February because this is what the 49ers are

5:28

playing for with the expectation of going to

5:30

the postseason. And then you might have to

5:32

do some major overhaul in the way you

5:34

work in the off season. You're looking at

5:36

trying to make it for X number of

5:39

weeks. And we don't know how

5:41

that's going to work out. It's going to

5:43

be a day-to-day assessment. But if it works

5:45

well, and if really this has kickstarted him

5:47

to where we hoped he would be in

5:49

week one, and you get that second half

5:51

of the season production from McCaffrey, now mind

5:53

you, the volume may not be the same

5:55

out of the gate, right? They've got Jordan Mason. They've seen

5:57

what he can do. Nobody's going

5:59

to probably- bring Christian McCaffrey back and

6:01

have him immediately assume that whole workload.

6:03

But if you think that this could

6:05

be really valuable to you in the

6:07

fantasy playoffs and you can afford a

6:09

stash of Christian McCaffrey to get you

6:11

through those late weeks of the season,

6:14

then maybe it's worth doing. Okay, all right, that's

6:16

good to know. Love it. I

6:20

don't want to spend more time on injuries until we have to, Stefania. Let's

6:22

save the rest of them for a little bit later in the show. But

6:25

there's one that when we get into the games,

6:27

there's one that I want to highlight in a

6:29

positive. Great, love to hear that. All right, let's

6:31

kick things off then with Lions and Seahawks. Talking

6:34

about that, this is what every Monday night football

6:36

game should be for those that are sitting at

6:38

home and watching. 42 to

6:40

29, just scoring all

6:42

over the place. I want to

6:44

start with Seahawks. Ken Walker.

6:47

That's where I wanted to go. Awesome.

6:49

Because remember he was out with an

6:51

abdominal injury, an oblique injury. Did you

6:53

see what he did with his core

6:55

muscles to make that incredible play where

6:57

it looked like he got turned around

6:59

and basically flipped over and used his

7:01

core strength to get up and keep

7:03

going. That is how you know that

7:05

somebody's passed an injury and that's when

7:07

you feel really good about it. I

7:09

thought he looked great. I averaged 6.6

7:12

yards per carry against your Detroit

7:14

Lions who have stuffed every other

7:17

opposing running back including James

7:19

Connor last week. Yeah. That was a

7:21

disastrous showing for Connor. So

7:23

yes, he's obviously healthy. The three touchdowns

7:25

helped, but to me the YPC was

7:27

really illustrative

7:30

of illustrative illustrative. Thank

7:32

you. I'm not

7:35

the Ivy Gavin. I think it's illustrative.

7:37

Is there a illustrative grammar to the

7:39

two in the back? I think consensusly

7:41

we can't come up with a fantasy

7:44

football now throwback there. Yeah, he was

7:46

unbelievable. Like I don't feel other than

7:49

here's my only I just want to say this. My only complaint

7:53

was that we didn't

7:56

see more like I

7:58

wanted him to hit a hundred yards. I'll just say

8:00

that. 12 for 80. I know,

8:02

I'm just going to be that guy. Three touchdowns was

8:04

unbelievable. He has this home run potential.

8:06

I didn't want him to score on that long run

8:08

where he kind of broke it outside as a Lions

8:10

fan. But as a manager of Ken Walker, where he

8:12

was on my bench in a number of leagues because

8:14

I didn't play him against the Detroit Lions. So the

8:16

10 of 33 points. I got it,

8:18

Stefania. I understand. Yes, it

8:21

was a tough one. But he was absolutely

8:23

unbelievable. The passing game, though, is really where

8:25

things were at. I was disappointed in Jackson

8:27

Smith and Jigba. But Gino Smith

8:29

absolutely came out and did some unbelievable things with

8:31

DK Metcalf and those pass guys. He's playing some

8:33

ridiculous football right now, is Gino Smith. And by the

8:35

way, that line could have looked even better. And

8:37

Walker's would have looked a touch worse,

8:39

but still incredible at it would have been

8:42

27.5 points. Because Gino

8:44

had a touchdown that was initially a ruled

8:46

touchdown on the field to DK Metcalf, in

8:49

which his elbow was down just ever so slightly

8:51

prior to the ball crossing the goal line. But

8:53

Gino's been incredible this year, guys. And a couple

8:55

of things we've got going for us right now.

8:58

On Ken Walker III, I thought the most important part was

9:00

this. Other than getting through the game

9:02

healthy and playing awesome, it was his

9:05

show. Zach Charbonnet relegated to basically every

9:07

third or fourth series. And

9:09

that very final drive of the game,

9:12

sort of garbage time. But when they're

9:14

in obvious passing situations, it

9:16

does seem like they'll lean towards Zach Charbonnet. Walker's

9:19

totally fine. Top 12 running back, no two ifs

9:21

ands or butts about it. Guys,

9:24

defensively, this is a

9:26

team that's made other offenses look pretty good.

9:29

Like the Patriots had a competitive game against the

9:31

Seahawks. And they're not a very good offense. Like,

9:33

obviously, last night, the Lions completely dominated them. Gino

9:35

may be throwing the football a ton this season.

9:37

Yeah. Gino not getting a

9:40

touchdown on the final drive. Gino not getting that touchdown because

9:42

there was an elbow distance. That's about

9:44

the margin that I won my War Room

9:46

League match in my field. I feel for

9:48

all of it, everybody out there, because the

9:50

other three of us do play fantasy, even

9:52

though field does not. I

9:54

felt for everyone who is hanging on to the

9:57

final drive of Monday Night Football to decide if we can

9:59

get it. if you were gonna win your weekly

10:01

matchup. I couldn't go to bed until like

10:03

2 a.m. last night. Oh, you're wired? After

10:05

watching this bright lion's offense. It was unbelievable.

10:08

Jared Goff did not throw an incompletion and

10:10

he caught a touchdown pass. Unbelievable.

10:12

Yeah, he was, that was great. I don't know what

10:14

he's saying. I don't know what he's saying about this.

10:16

He was incredible. Let's just put some context on this.

10:18

Jared Goff, and I get it, he is like, yesterday

10:20

we were talking about Baker Mayfield and so with Jared

10:23

Goff, like, I would say, I don't have the same

10:25

level of confidence in Jared Goff to be a weekly

10:27

fantasy starter as I do now with Baker Mayfield. But

10:29

Jared has this within him and put

10:31

some damn respect on this guy's name. 18 for 18. The

10:35

most ever completions without an incompletion in a single

10:38

game in NFL history. And this was not Dink

10:40

and Dunk City, by the way. Beautiful deep shot

10:42

down the field to JMO for that 80 yard

10:44

touchdown. 70 yard touchdown. Throwing the ball all over

10:46

the place. I thought Goff was incredible last night.

10:49

Such a fun player to watch. I'm on raw

10:51

with a dime as well. Well, they both were

10:53

perfect on the back. In their bag, yeah. So

10:55

awesome performers from Jared Goff. Still gonna be the

10:57

kind of guy that's more match-up dependent because he

11:00

adds zero zilts, nada in the rushing game. He's

11:02

a better receiver than he is a runner. What

11:04

a great night from him. I'm

11:06

on raw, such a joy to watch that guy

11:08

play football every single Monday or Sunday. They go

11:10

into a bye this week. It stinks

11:12

to not have them for this upcoming week. Plus side,

11:15

it's hard to feel like you're totally out

11:17

of the race by the end of week

11:19

five. You'll have those horses, specifically I'm on

11:21

raw the two running backs available for the

11:23

rest of the season. Interesting last night that

11:25

the Lions allowed Jameer Gibbs to feast at

11:28

the goal line. I saw that. That was

11:30

good. And they are the most

11:32

clearly, and Daniel, you've been shouting this from,

11:34

I don't know, the rooftops of Motor City

11:36

since the day we started

11:38

the show. The clearly the two best running backs

11:40

on the same team for fantasy purposes. Lock them

11:43

in top 20 players. It's so fun to watch

11:45

them. They are thunder and lightning. David Montgomery had

11:47

one of the coolest plays of the entire NFL

11:49

season. He's had a couple. He's floated a couple

11:52

of times. We'd love to see Monte get in

11:54

there. But yes, I love that you mentioned that

11:56

Gibbs did not have a single target, but two

11:58

touches inside the five. are

34:00

here and you're outside on grill

34:02

duty. The Home Depot knows missing the

34:04

game is not an option, so thankfully

34:06

the Traeger Timberline XL Grill is here

34:08

to help you play defense and make

34:11

the most of every Saturday. First up,

34:13

we've got fans to feed and the

34:15

Timberline XL is a real crowd pleaser.

34:17

It can bake, smoke, sear, fry, and

34:19

saute so you can feed everyone at

34:21

the watch party. Whether you want sweet

34:24

tangy ribs, jalapeno poppers with a smoky

34:26

kick, grilled street corn, or some classic

34:28

buffalo wings, this utility player can do

34:30

it all. And with Wi-Fi or tech

34:32

in the Traeger app, you can monitor

34:34

your smoke temp, meat probes, and pellet

34:37

levels all from the comfort of your

34:39

couch. So you can watch the game,

34:41

not the grill, and never miss a

34:43

moment. Defend your game with Traeger and

34:45

the Home Depot. How doers get more

34:47

done. Back

34:54

here on fantasy focus, Daniel Dott, Liz Loza,

34:56

Stefania Bell, Field Yates, talking about the week

34:59

five waiver wire before we talk about who

35:01

we're adding a couple people on by this

35:03

week. Obviously the Detroit Lions and that entire

35:05

offense, Los Angeles Chargers, the Philadelphia

35:07

Eagles, and the Tennessee Titans. So really, it's

35:09

kind of like the Eagles

35:12

and Lions. Yeah, with a couple of random guys left over.

35:14

Liz, I want to ask you first at the wide receiver

35:16

spot, you and I sat down and had lunch yesterday, talked

35:18

about a handful of wide receivers. Thanks for the invite. All

35:22

right. So I had to deal with the power issue. Yeah, you were

35:24

doing your own thing. If

35:28

you were to look at waivers this week

35:30

and there was one wide receiver, there's a

35:32

couple of guys that I think are worthwhile,

35:34

but if you had to pick one wide

35:36

receiver, who are you looking to grab off

35:38

the waivers? Wanda Robinson is still available. I

35:40

think he, in terms of volume yardage, obviously

35:42

not incredible, but he has what, 38 targets

35:44

through four games. That defense in New York

35:46

is not going to stop Daniel Jones from

35:48

throwing or whatever quarterback, whichever quarterback

35:51

is under center. He's hauled in

35:53

68% of his targets so far

35:55

this season. Again, YPR seven and

35:57

a half yards per time. It's

36:00

not great, right? He's a short yardage guy. But

36:02

in PPR friendly formats, that's pretty good. He

36:04

is the PPR king, right? He is correct. He's

36:06

like Jarvis Landry style right now. Only rostered in 27%

36:08

of leagues right now. Yeah. If

36:11

you had a quarterback change field, would you feel

36:13

like this feels mean to say, but can it

36:15

get worse than Daniel Jones for one of your

36:17

options? I think Daniel Jones is going to be

36:19

the quarterback for a while, by the way. It's

36:22

not like he's been unbelievable, but I don't think he's

36:24

been terrible either. I think he's been fine. So some

36:26

of the reports of like they're looking to add some

36:28

either competition or veteran backups. I think

36:30

the way that they would potentially make a move

36:32

is if they completely tumble to like one in

36:34

nine and they're worried about the fact, and we're

36:37

getting in the weeds here a little bit, but

36:39

Daniel Jones contract includes $23 million in injury

36:42

protection for next year, which means if you

36:44

can't pass a physical at the

36:46

start of the new league year, because he has

36:49

a torn ACL, then the team would owe him $23

36:51

million if they waved him, waved him because of

36:54

his health. Okay. So, uh,

36:56

they may, you guys famously may remember

36:58

the, the commanders sat

37:00

Robert Griffin third because he had this injury

37:03

guarantee that if he was unable to pass a

37:05

physical, he would have gotten 25 million bucks. He

37:07

became the scout team safety. The point is teams

37:09

may look for, look at it through that lens,

37:11

but, um, I think he's the guy right now

37:13

because it's, they're one in three, but

37:15

like a relatively competitive one in three, right? Like they

37:17

could be three in one, at

37:20

least two and two easily. If they had a kicker in week two,

37:22

they would be two and two. I am with

37:24

you on that one. Right. Love Wandell Robinson. We talked

37:26

about him a bunch, uh, actually last week on the

37:28

waiver wire show. So he's someone that I agree with

37:30

should be added. Um, let me ask you this couple

37:33

other guys that we've looked at Xavier Laguette, obviously with

37:35

Andy Dalton, being able to make that Panthers team not

37:37

look too bad. Dontavian Wicks was really good this last

37:39

week. Yeah. And full of guys there. And what about

37:41

Juju Smith? Schuster? Is there a chance that he can

37:43

be a guy in Kansas city, knowing that they don't

37:46

really have many wide receivers. If you play, and this

37:48

is right. I've mentioned this in the preseason, like sometimes

37:50

I get stuck looking through the lens of like specific

37:52

leagues that I play in like a 14 team league

37:54

or a 16 team league, like with two flex spots,

37:56

which is what the war room is. And it's like,

37:58

I don't know if Juju but I bet

38:01

he will be by the time waivers

38:03

run tomorrow because it's not a strong

38:05

bet that he is going to dominate

38:07

touches from the Chiefs wide receivers, but

38:09

it's a bet, right? It's possible. I

38:11

mean, he, the competition is

38:13

incredibly narrow, right? Like Skymore feels

38:15

like borderline persona non grata in

38:18

Kansas city's wide receiver room. Justin

38:21

Watson is kind of is what he is, right?

38:23

Like does more like occupying space down the field

38:25

and like getting a bunch of targets. Is there

38:27

anybody in that chief wide receiver room that you're

38:29

saying to yourself, like, I know Juju is not

38:31

great, but that guy is so great that like

38:34

he has to be the man. I don't think there is one is

38:36

there? No. I don't think so.

38:38

I'm still stuck on occupying space down the field.

38:41

Like I'd be so bummed if I was the

38:43

person occupying space. I mean, you know what though?

38:45

No, no, if I had all those rings, I'd

38:47

be happy to occupy space in Kansas city. He's

38:49

a pen grad, you know, he probably looks at

38:51

it like through like a physics lens. He's like,

38:54

you know, the centrifugal force created, I don't know.

38:57

Is that correct terminology? It is

38:59

a thing. It is a thing. I mean,

39:01

he makes clutch catches, right? But it's not

39:03

like he's a heavily targeted guy. So my

39:05

bet would be that if I guess if

39:07

I had to, like, do you guys know

39:09

when you get like a flag in like

39:11

a cocktail, like a little tiny umbrella? Yeah.

39:14

In a cocktail. I'm not gonna plant a flag, but I'm

39:16

gonna plant a cocktail umbrella in

39:18

the ground on Juju's side. There's an

39:20

argument there though, right? You can see

39:23

there's familiarity, obviously. It could be a

39:25

short range target. Patrick Mahomes is in

39:27

passing deep a lot these days, which

39:30

is obviously in another conversation affecting his

39:32

fantasy production. So there is a conversation

39:34

there in deeper leagues that MPPR friendly

39:37

leagues that he could provide some value,

39:39

some cocktail umbrella shade. Ideally,

39:41

I don't wanna poo poo Juju, but

39:44

I would much rather see Xavier Worthy

39:48

just get like seven to nine targets,

39:50

eight to 10 targets. We can all wishcast friends.

39:52

I don't know. Yeah, I'm gonna speak into existence.

39:55

I don't feel that happen. I'm

39:57

with Stefania here for this reason. It's not like

39:59

the chief. have been good on offense so far.

40:01

Like they've needed more out of

40:03

the wider Seva room. I think he'll see

40:05

a natural boost, but I don't

40:08

see a significant boost. Like I

40:10

don't think 10 targets a week is in the offing

40:12

for Xavier Worthy. He's kind of at like four and

40:14

a half, five right now. Can we get to six

40:16

to seven maybe? That's what I'm hoping for. That's what

40:18

I am personally hoping for. She

40:21

writes on top of like hogging targets in a

40:23

good way, does things that I don't

40:25

think the Chiefs want to expose Xavier Worthy to. A

40:27

ton of like short yardage opportunities where

40:30

he just makes people miss or run through

40:32

defenders. Like that's not the strength of Xavier

40:34

Worthy's game. All right.

40:36

More Travis Kelsey bump. I think and

40:38

hope as a result. I'm with you on

40:40

that one. All right. Let's talk about a couple

40:42

of running backs here on the waiver wire. Speaking of the Kansas City

40:45

Chiefs. Is there a chance that Kareem

40:47

Hunt, Stefania Bell, is someone that you're looking to add off

40:49

a waiver wires after what you saw from him in week

40:51

four? I mean, just the fact that

40:53

he was out there when we thought that maybe

40:55

he wasn't even going to be active in

40:58

this week makes it, it

41:00

makes him interesting again, because he's occupying

41:02

space on the field. Yeah. And

41:04

there's familiarity. Absolutely. Yeah, and familiarity, right? I mean,

41:07

there's a reason that they brought him back. And

41:10

Andy Reid basically said for being there and

41:12

just having to adjust to the offense that

41:14

quickly, which is a hard thing

41:16

to do when you've not been there, you know,

41:18

that he thought that he did a really good

41:20

job. So. And this is not

41:23

an anti Carson Steele thing, but it kind of

41:25

feels like he's, he fumbled the opportunity that he

41:27

had been given. Multiple fumbles lost the right of

41:29

the season, right? Yeah, their ball security is

41:31

a thing. Look, we, I say, right? Even

41:33

the Chiefs to me feel like the team

41:35

that is the most, I

41:38

don't know what the word is, but when you

41:40

look at their record, it has

41:42

nothing to do with the product you're actually watching.

41:44

Like I don't feel like they look like a

41:47

team that's undefeated. No, no, in basketball, where

41:49

they play a ton more games, they say like,

41:51

hey, the Lakers were a 43 win

41:53

team last year with a 39 win team

41:55

differential. Yes. Right. It's like, and so the

41:57

Chiefs, I don't know how many points they've

41:59

allowed. is given up, but it's so

42:01

close that normally you're not 4-0 when they

42:03

don't look like themselves. They don't look like

42:05

that. To me, I feel

42:08

like they need

42:10

to put the better product out there and

42:12

whatever combination is going to make that happen,

42:14

they're going to go with it. They

42:17

lost their key running back

42:19

as well. They have just been ravaged

42:21

if I can actually check it. I'm shocked.

42:23

We'd be talking about other teams if they have

42:26

one big injury. We're like, hey, who knows what's

42:28

going to happen now that so-and-so

42:30

is out. The Chiefs have lost two

42:32

top wide receivers and their top

42:34

running back, and

42:36

yet they're undefeated. Yes. They

42:39

can do a patchwork quilt

42:42

operation better than anyone else in the

42:44

league right now. Their differential is plus 20, the

42:46

Vikings, the other 4-0 team, plus 57. Two

42:49

different 4-0 starts. I

42:51

would say that I do have interest in Kareem Hunt as

42:53

well. I know that seems crazy to think. Even

42:55

where things were just like two weeks ago, but

42:58

Carson Steele, Daniel, you're correct. Ball

43:00

security is job security, and this team is so average.

43:02

Were you going to say that? No, it's

43:05

just ironic though since Kareem Hunt fumbled on

43:07

the first ever carry he had at the

43:09

Kansas City Chiefs. Well, you know what though? That was the

43:11

only time he's ever fumbled at the Chiefs. He learned his lesson. Yeah,

43:13

he did in a hurry. Kareem

43:16

Hunt probably has a bigger role because

43:18

this team is not good enough on offense to

43:20

have careless turnovers. When you're

43:22

this good and you're playing for this much, you

43:25

have to be mindful of... When

43:28

margins... He's not dynamic enough. He's not

43:30

a threat to the passing game. This is Carson Steele. He's

43:32

a great... This is a great story. An under-active free agent

43:34

making the team is always a good story, but

43:37

he's more vulnerable. So unlikely to make the

43:39

team that apparently there was a family wedding going

43:41

on, even though he was sitting in his wedding

43:43

room. Yeah, yeah. So, you

43:45

know. It kind of feels like if I

43:47

was the Kansas City Chiefs, given all of the injuries that

43:49

I have to the wide receiver spot, I would want to

43:51

kind of lean on the running game, even though I have

43:54

the best quarterback in the NFL. Oh, but the running game

43:56

isn't that good right now? Well, maybe Kareem Hunt can revitalize

43:58

that. So let's

44:00

look at who the Chiefs are playing next. Saints

44:02

on Monday night, right? Yeah, they got the Saints.

44:05

Then they have a bye. Then

44:07

they're at the 49ers. So

44:09

you don't like the run game there. But then they're

44:11

at the Raiders. So they

44:14

could put time. Like I expect them to

44:16

be. I don't

44:18

know what I expect because I am surprised

44:20

that they're undefeated, right? I know. I keep

44:22

waiting for the other shoe to drop for

44:24

this team. So maybe they're waiting

44:26

for the 49ers. All right, a couple of the running backs. More

44:28

than just Kareem Hunter. I do want to mention this. Bucky Irving

44:30

is just over that 50% roster mark. But

44:32

he should be added in every single fantasy. Lee clearly

44:34

looks like the better running back than Rashad White. And

44:36

I do believe that we all think it

44:39

is a when, not an if, for him

44:41

to become the running master. Also, just a

44:43

little asterisk. Two weeks ago, I believe, White

44:45

played through a groin issue. And

44:47

as Stefania has taught us so well, those

44:49

soft tissue issues certainly can recur. So

44:52

there might be more than just an efficiency issue

44:54

with White. Braylon Allen, also a guy that

44:56

we would add, if you have a spot with what you've seen

44:58

from him in that offense. I like Braylon Allen. That'd be somebody

45:01

I'd be looking at. Tank Bigsby, as

45:03

well, with Travis Etienne being banged up a

45:05

little bit. Yeah, people always say, like, we've

45:07

never seen Daniel Dop and TJ Hockinson in

45:09

the same place. I get that often

45:11

with Braylon Allen. I've never seen Braylon Allen and Felix

45:14

Gates in the same place. Is that right? Is that

45:16

weird? OK. That is interesting.

45:18

Yeah. Yeah. Something

45:21

about muscle distribution. Again,

45:23

I'm not the one who says that people say

45:26

it to me. So you've heard. The internet, yeah.

45:28

I lift. What can I say? Oh, I thought

45:30

maybe it was your blazing speed on the sand.

45:32

Oh, wow. All right. All right. Let's

45:35

talk about some quarterbacks here. Quarterbacks. It's a

45:37

new segment. You've got a switch brought to you

45:40

by the new Boost Mobile 5G network.

45:42

We're discussing an overperforming player on

45:44

our benches or waivers that

45:47

you need to switch to add to

45:49

your starting lineup. And I think. Good options this

45:51

week for that. There are. Dude, how do you

45:53

not start Justin Fields after what you've seen from

45:56

him and what he's done with his legs the

45:58

last couple of months? Because it's one really great.

46:00

great game, right? Like a little more. Let's give

46:02

me that. Keep going. Last

46:04

week was awesome. But they

46:07

played the Cowboys this week. That's how you start

46:09

them. Is it you feel like it's potentially repeatable

46:11

because that Cowboys defense has been largely not good.

46:13

Yep. And they're hurt. Was that look at it?

46:16

Was that look like I disagree? Well, it wasn't

46:18

an I disagree. I do think that fields the

46:20

knock on fields was that he wasn't a good passer and he

46:22

cleared 200 yards when he had 250 two weeks go

46:24

through over 300 this week and he is using his

46:28

legs. So he's also learning

46:30

like if you watch the tape, he's evolving and

46:32

actually looks comfortable in an offense that is believing

46:34

in him. So I don't think it's as wild

46:36

but I think your point about the matchup is

46:38

the best one. Yeah. So the fire to this

46:40

is best finishes QB thirteen after when QB won

46:43

this past because he was fine up until this

46:45

point under twelve in each of

46:47

his first two games. He's heating up though.

46:49

Good matchup this weekend. Justin Fields absolutely a

46:51

named monitor. It's it's not just the jail

46:53

and hurts replacements. It's the possibility of being

46:55

done with Patrick Mahomes right now as an

46:57

example. Patrick Mahomes Anthony Richardson. I think you

47:00

could continue to make the conversation of

47:02

am I benching Patrick Mahomes for a

47:04

handful of these guys. Justin Fields is

47:06

absolutely one of them. Sam Darnold another

47:09

guy Liz Losa that it feels like

47:11

fantasy managers fields. You can

47:13

make that noise. No, the Jets this week though.

47:15

Is that what it is? That's what it's just

47:17

the matchup. He's there. He's been amazing and I

47:20

pardon me is like do we really doubt him

47:22

again? The revenge game. That Jets defense like dude

47:24

like they got they they actually are all going

47:26

to be in the on the practice report this

47:28

week with the back injury because they've been carrying

47:31

the offense this past Sunday. She said that was

47:33

a tough one to watch. It's a mix at

47:35

negative seven passing yards in the first half. II

47:37

know that bad weather and the Broncos aren't electric

47:39

but the Jets defense is still exceptionally

47:42

good. They are they are and so I'm a little my

47:44

you know you see like I have a lot of great

47:46

things to say about Sam Darnold before they go into their

47:48

buy but this week I do not have him as a

47:50

top fifteen play. Alright and then we already mentioned Geno Smith

47:52

a little earlier in the show as someone that you could

47:54

potentially look at off of waivers. Alright, that's you got a

47:56

switch brought to you by the new Boost Mobile 5G Network.

48:00

One thing, you could potentially look at Tucker Kraft off

48:02

the tight end position. And that's it. I

48:04

think we just leave it there. You talked about

48:06

yesterday. I thought so many yesterday. All right, guys, it's our

48:08

digital only segment, which means we can let our hair down

48:11

a little bit. Are you gonna actually let your hair down?

48:13

No, not this time, not today. Hi, the ladies in makeup

48:15

did some nice things. You did that slow-mo head

48:17

shake in the water in the ocean down

48:19

behind us. Yes, and you posted it on

48:21

Instagram? Yeah, I mean, that was like the

48:23

only thirst trap video that I have ever put on

48:25

the internet. And it did pretty well. I got a viral.

48:28

It's been a big deal. When you lie to me, look

48:30

at you. People like the top and the bottom of me. It's just

48:32

all the stuff in the middle. They're not really in care. Okay,

48:34

we're gonna leave that alone. Keep taking up your shirt,

48:36

so. Leave that alone. First question

48:38

we have from our mailbag comes from

48:40

Deflow. Says, as a Rishi rice manager,

48:43

I've had him in the flex all four weeks

48:45

so far. With that being said, due to the

48:47

injury, who's a better option with higher upside going

48:49

forward? Jerome Ford or

48:51

George Pickens? First of all, Deflow.

48:55

Talk about a flex by you. I've got Rishi rice in

48:57

the flex. Yeah, so you're not even good enough to be

48:59

a starting wide receiver for me. Respect to you, Deflow. I

49:03

think we might get consensus here. I'm going George Pickens as

49:05

the higher upside player. GP, I'm with you.

49:07

Yeah, I'll take the receiver. I

49:09

agree, although I did look at the

49:11

numbers and both of these players have

49:13

double digit fantasy points in three of

49:16

four outings. Yeah. You would like to think

49:18

that Ford, as a

49:20

flex option because of potential touchdown upside, might

49:22

have the higher floor. But if he's chasing

49:24

upside, then it's always gonna be Pickens. And

49:26

if Nick Chubb could potentially be returning, that's

49:28

another consideration. With Nick Chubb returning soon, the

49:31

Cowboys being a good matchup for George Pickens

49:33

this weekend. I think that Pickens generally

49:35

will represent the higher upside player compared to

49:37

Jerome Ford. I would agree with that. All

49:40

right, Joe Dwyer wants to know, when do

49:42

we hit the panic button on Ramon Dre,

49:44

Stevenson and Josh Jacobs? Ramon Dre had a

49:46

tough week last week. Josh Jacobs kind of

49:49

feels like he's in a time split, which

49:51

we talked about yesterday with LeManu Wilson. Are

49:53

you ready to panic on either one? Well, yesterday. Are

49:56

you running backs? Yes, yesterday. Well, Ramon Dre,

49:58

we talked about fumbling earlier. And

50:00

Bermondre has also had a fumbling issue. He's

50:02

averaged under four yards per carry for three

50:04

straight weeks. His only really good

50:06

outing was when the Pats surprised the

50:08

snot out of Cincinnati. And I just

50:10

don't think game flow, particularly when you

50:12

have a complimentary back like Antonio Gibson,

50:14

who we all know is a converted

50:16

wide receiver and can have usage in

50:18

the passing game. I just like

50:21

don't think he's going to get the volume. The only

50:23

thing for me about this question is like

50:25

if I'm panicking on these running backs,

50:27

who am I starting over them? They

50:30

both, even though Josh Jacobs has been in a

50:32

little bit of a timeshare, I still

50:35

don't know who you're going to feel more confident in behind

50:37

him. Here's what I like you. This is my thought is

50:39

Daniel brings up a good point. It's really hard. It's easy

50:41

for us to say like, don't play this

50:43

player. It's harder for us to give you an option of who

50:45

to play in favor of them. Patriots put

50:47

the Dolphins this weekend. As

50:49

we saw last night, that Dolphins team

50:52

has no margin for error and defensively,

50:54

honestly like for a team that spent a lot of

50:56

money on the defense. And I know they had some

50:58

injuries last night, but welcome to the NFL. That's a

51:00

guess. Yeah, when the defense is on the field all

51:02

the time. Yeah, like what defense

51:05

am I watching? They don't seem like a dominant

51:07

defense by any way, shape or form. If

51:10

Ramondre has a big game this weekend, which would

51:12

include A, not fumbling, and B, the Patriots keeping

51:14

it close enough or winning, which I think is

51:16

possible right now. They're playing in

51:18

New England. I know it sounds crazy, but after last night,

51:20

right? One point underdogs. Patriots

51:23

are all underdogs. One point underdogs. So Jacobi

51:25

Brissett versus New Puntly. It's

51:28

another revenge game. Can you get Drake May, please?

51:30

Anyways, if Ramondre has a

51:32

big game this week, that might be the opportunity to

51:34

like, I'll tell you one. Like I would, if Ramondre

51:36

goes off this weekend, just in general, I'd prefer Josh

51:38

Jacobs to Ramondre Stevenson. You got Ramondre?

51:40

I'd make an offer for Josh Jacobs. You could say,

51:42

hey, like Ramondre has had two big games. Josh Jacobs

51:45

has had not as many big games. Like maybe do

51:47

it. I just think the player in

51:49

the better offense with a really, really good

51:51

workload, like to me, that's fine. I am

51:54

pretty panicked though on Ramondre because this Patriots

51:56

offense is so limited that in

51:58

games when they're not playing. playing the Dolphins. You're

52:01

a bit more concerned about them falling behind 14 to

52:03

nothing and then just him not having game flown in

52:06

his favor. You don't love that. Don't

52:08

love it. I still

52:10

feel like if this is a spot

52:13

where you see something from Ramon

52:15

Dre Stevenson, even if you're selling him

52:18

after this big game, what do you have

52:20

at the running back spot behind Ramon? Maybe you've got

52:22

a Brian Robinson. We do like a one for one.

52:24

Like a Ramon Dre for a Josh Jacobs would be

52:26

one that I would consider. Ramon Dre for a Najee

52:28

Harris would be something that I would consider. Names like

52:30

that, Ramon Dre for Tony Pollard would be

52:32

one that I would consider, right? Because

52:35

guys who either had less cachet

52:37

coming into the season or have had not

52:40

perfect starts that I would say, I would

52:42

consider those names as upgrades

52:44

over Ramon Dre. Fair. All

52:46

right, next question comes from Josh. Says,

52:49

is it time to bench Zae Flowers for

52:51

Deontay Johnson? Turns out that was two weeks

52:53

ago, but yes. Yeah. One

52:55

of these guys is getting a massive target share,

52:57

and the other one is Zae Flowers, which is

52:59

what's so difficult because we were so excited about

53:01

Zae Flowers coming into the season.

53:03

But if the Ravens are playing the way that

53:05

they want to play football, Stefania, they're

53:08

running with our guy, Derek Henry, as much as possible,

53:10

and Lamar Jackson's going to keep doing his thing

53:12

on the ground. Right. And they

53:14

have shown themselves to be wanting to win

53:16

this on the ground. And Zae Flowers, we

53:18

thought that this was going to be such

53:20

an opportunity for him because the run game

53:23

would allow for him to have some of

53:25

these big plays, but we're just not seeing

53:27

it as somebody who has Zae Flowers on

53:29

several rosters. I would be going with Deontay

53:31

Johnson because he has been unlocked by

53:33

the presence of Andy Dalton. So he's

53:36

the hot. You want to go with the hot hand? Yes. This

53:39

is the hot hand. That's the hot hand, I think. The

53:41

Panthers' defense is also going to keep Andy Dalton passing. Panthering?

53:43

Yeah. Panthering. Yes. Yeah. I think Zae Flowers

53:45

will have big games. I'm not down on

53:47

him entirely. I just think the inconsistency in

53:49

terms of what you're seeing out of the

53:51

Ravens, and they're very hard to read. This

53:54

is the team that John Harbaugh is continuing

53:56

to talk about how awesome the Mark Andrews

53:58

blocking is for Derek. Stop. He

54:00

was last week when he said those things too.

54:03

Two things here. It's

54:05

so interesting because this is one of the most

54:07

popular questions in season. It's like for

54:09

the rest of the season, where do you have this

54:11

guy ranked? Which I understand why we do that, but

54:13

I've been trying to institute this like, let's talk about

54:15

it for like the next month ahead. Yep. I think

54:17

you could do it a different way as well that

54:20

I was just thinking about in the context of Deontay

54:22

Johnson. It's almost like a confidence index.

54:25

Right now, what category of

54:27

wide receiver does Deontay Johnson fit into

54:29

for you? Because like we

54:31

have the super duper top of

54:33

the heap that I think would

54:35

be the likes of CD lamb,

54:37

Justin Jefferson, Malick neighbors, a

54:39

few others, right? I'm sure I'm bypassing a couple

54:42

of names. It's like the

54:44

next rung below, a guy who you're like,

54:46

you're absolutely starting. You have pretty darn high hopes for

54:48

it where you find Deontay Johnson at the moment. Right

54:51

now it feels that way. I mean, you're talking like... 27

54:53

targets over the past two weeks. Yeah. Yeah. I'm

54:56

with you in that he just looks totally different with

54:58

Andy Dalton under... I mean, this whole offense, I know

55:00

we talked about it yesterday. And Adam Phelan is

55:02

hurt. Yeah. So the second

55:04

thought I have, and just like, you know, bury

55:06

this one in your brain for a little bit.

55:08

This is, I'm using the football instincts here. This

55:10

is not information I have, but

55:13

Panthers are one in three right now. Deontay

55:16

Johnson is in the final year of his contract. He

55:19

makes just $7 million. Must be

55:21

nice to make just $7 million. What's

55:24

that like, Phil? Yeah. Oh, I'd like

55:26

to know. Is

55:29

that enough to fix my generator? Anyways,

55:33

that's a salary that is palatable enough

55:36

or convertible enough on the Panther

55:38

side that like, if Carolina

55:40

falls to one in six, they

55:43

could make, like, I could see them saying, hey, you

55:45

know what? The long range view here is, let's

55:48

get a pick from somebody. Yep. They already owe

55:50

their second round pick to Liz's Bears. Ooh. They

55:53

have a second round pick from the Rams from last

55:55

year's draft. So from a trade up

55:57

from last year's draft. But if you're Carolina, is it

55:59

what's value? Are we? Is this for you? Yeah, I'm

56:01

saying is that like he would be. Deontay Johnson be

56:03

a very rare, excellent football player on

56:06

a low salary that a team who currently

56:08

rosters him might say to itself, like if

56:11

they haven't gotten an extension done now, they didn't trade for

56:13

him yesterday, and they trade for him in March. They

56:16

may have had talks and maybe they've already

56:18

made it very clear. Hey, we want to do it after the

56:20

season. He wants to do it after the season. He wants to

56:22

ball out and show that he's worth $25 million a

56:25

year. I don't know. But if they

56:27

haven't got anything done right now and it hasn't been

56:29

because of lack of effort, I

56:31

would say if I'm a team out there, I'd be calling. You

56:34

think Brett Veitch can find enough money in the Kansas

56:36

City sofa position? Yeah, the Chiefs are so

56:38

tight against the cap. People need to stop

56:40

these fantasy trades where it's like, I

56:43

get it. $7 million though. Cooper Cup,

56:45

Devontae Adams would be awesome in Kansas City. We're

56:48

talking Deontay Johnson. I know, Deontay Johnson is $7

56:50

million. Yeah, but I'm saying

56:52

people need to stop with the fantasy stuff

56:54

of guys who make $30 million this year, $18

56:56

million in salary. Or the Tyreek returns. Yeah,

56:59

but it's going to require that team doing the

57:02

Chiefs a massive, massive favor too. And

57:04

the Chiefs have to pay a huge, huge price. So anyways,

57:06

Kansas City happens to have two third round picks this year.

57:08

Just food for thought. Oh, just throwing that one out there.

57:10

No big deal. All right. By

57:12

the way, Deontae Johnson draws Liz's

57:15

Chicago Bears this week. So we'll see how that goes.

57:17

Good defense. Really good defense. What a revenge game for

57:19

Dalton again. Oh, man. It's just

57:21

going to be nonstop revenge game. Yeah.

57:23

That's what happened. I love it. I forgot he played

57:26

for the Cowboys until recently. That's when

57:28

I remember. Willguy22 says, should

57:30

I start thinking about Josh Allen's

57:32

current inconsistency? Or do you believe

57:34

these are two unique games? I want you to

57:37

answer this one. All right, guys. I

57:39

came around on this a little bit. I came

57:41

around on this one a little bit. Josh Allen

57:43

can still throw a million interceptions, can still have

57:45

a couple of duds. But he is clearly, to

57:47

me, the best fantasy football quarterback

57:50

on the planet. As much as we love

57:52

both Lamar Jackson and Jaden Daniels, if I

57:54

had to pick a starting quarterback for my

57:56

squad out of every single quarterback in the

57:59

NFL and fantasy. football, it would be Josh

58:01

Allen. I mean, you get two

58:03

QB one weeks. Like how many players have been

58:05

the highest scoring player at their position so far

58:07

this season on two separate occasions? The answer is

58:09

just one. It's Josh Allen. There's

58:12

a chance that Josh Allen's two worst games

58:15

were in week four of the entire season,

58:17

week four and week two. So I hear

58:19

you, if you have a

58:21

crazy trade, you could get kind of, you know, if

58:24

you get Lamar Jackson plus a starter somewhere else, I

58:26

would entertain it. But, you know, for

58:28

me, as long as Josh Allen's on the field, he's going

58:30

to be in my lineup if I have him on my

58:32

roster. Can you field, well, actually, for all of you guys,

58:34

can you tell me the last week that Patrick Mahomes was

58:36

quarterback one in fantasy football? I believe against

58:39

the Bears last year, he went off. That

58:41

was the Travis Kelsey Taylor Swift debut that

58:43

when they hard launched. That was week two

58:45

or three, I believe, of 2016. Is

58:48

that how you flagged the season? He's like,

58:50

bye bye. The hard launch, yeah. In

58:53

Chicago. Was it longer ago than that, Daniel?

58:55

It was. It was a while ago. His last

58:57

top five game was week seven of 2023.

59:01

His last QB five outing was week seven of 2023. Thank

59:03

you for listening to the podcast, Liz. I appreciate that. Actually,

59:05

that was my stats. I did, in fact, versus feelings. Thank

59:07

you for reading my comments. Was that last week? Oh,

59:10

man. Two weeks ago, I said that here on

59:12

the podcast. This is spicy. Oh, yeah. Do you

59:14

have any She Rice updates? I was going to say.

59:16

Oh, sorry. We'll just talk about ourselves. You two throw

59:18

down over there. Week 11. Week

59:21

11 of 2022 was the last time that

59:24

Patrick Mahomes was QB one of the fans. That's crazy. All

59:26

right. We got one more here. This one comes from Dylan.

59:29

We got a few more than this, but I want to

59:31

save some of them for tomorrow as well to have some

59:33

fun with Mike as well. Dylan wants

59:35

to know, are you trying to sell Bijon if

59:37

you can get back his draft day value? I

59:40

don't know what his draft day value is. I

59:42

was going to say, what is his draft

59:44

day value? Because for who? For

59:46

who, right? Because where did you

59:48

draft him? Probably somewhere in the

59:51

1-4-9, depending on your league. Depending

59:53

on your league, because some people went wide

59:55

receiver heavy up top. That's fair. So let's

59:57

say it's one. That's fair. Let's say it's

59:59

like. like in the first nine, in

1:00:01

our leagues, it'd be one through three

1:00:03

or four. Who

1:00:06

are you getting back that is draft day value?

1:00:09

You're not getting CMC. Right, because you're

1:00:11

not trading for CMC and giving up Bijan, a

1:00:14

player who's playing versus one who's out and we

1:00:16

don't know when he's returning. I'd hold the fort

1:00:18

here too. I feel

1:00:20

like, is it Alvin Kamara that you

1:00:22

need to get back? Saquon Barkley. Why would the

1:00:24

Alvin Kamara or Saquon Barkley manager make that deal?

1:00:27

Right, Saquon Barkley's the guy, right? Jonathan

1:00:29

Taylor just hurt the same ankle that he

1:00:31

injured in 2022 that cost him games. Yeah,

1:00:33

Trey Sermon probably should have been mentioned in the

1:00:35

waiver segment. Oh yeah, I know, but that is so

1:00:38

hard to say that. Yeah, I know. How

1:00:40

loud. Especially for you as a 49er. Yeah, well, you've seen

1:00:42

that experiment. Anyway, I think those are all

1:00:44

names that, like it's

1:00:46

hard, yeah, it's hard. I mean, getting draft

1:00:48

day value back, that's

1:00:51

probably a matter of interpretation of you're saying

1:00:53

like a guy that deserved to go in

1:00:55

the first five picks like Alvin Kamara or

1:00:57

Saquon Barkley or- Well, the ...

1:01:00

the top five running back, you know? Because

1:01:02

you probably wouldn't have drafted Alvin Kamara that

1:01:04

much higher. I mean, unless you could see

1:01:06

into a crystal ball, like you wouldn't have

1:01:08

thought that this performance would have been the

1:01:11

performance that we're getting out of him. Robinson

1:01:13

also has an opportunity share above 75%. He's

1:01:16

the RB7 in opportunity share. I mean,

1:01:19

where are you finding? Falcons just can't quit

1:01:21

Tyler LG or Liz. They just,

1:01:24

you know. They can't. They can't, what are you gonna

1:01:26

do? But like, honestly, I would, I'm with Field and

1:01:28

I think we all kind of agree. Like at this

1:01:30

point, I don't know what you're gonna move him for

1:01:32

where you're going to get the same kind of value

1:01:35

back. I would rather, especially given the state of the

1:01:37

running back position, I'd rather just

1:01:39

hold tight. I would, yeah. I

1:01:41

would stay as they say. Yes. Stay.

1:01:44

Yeah, like we're playing blackjack. We're just gonna stay.

1:01:46

Exactly. Just gonna stay. All right, guys, another fun

1:01:49

show, Liz. In spite of the little fight that

1:01:51

we just get into. It has been so much fun. Is that our

1:01:53

first one? I think it might be our first one. I think so.

1:01:55

So much fun being able to have you here. When are we gonna

1:01:57

have you back? The

1:01:59

weekend before. for Halloween, it seems. Love

1:02:01

it. Oh, yay. So in the same month, because we're

1:02:03

in October now, so you're coming back in October. Yes,

1:02:05

coming back this month, yes. What has been the biggest-

1:02:08

It's fun for me. What's the biggest stand out thing just

1:02:10

while we have a little bit of time? What's the one thing

1:02:12

that you feel like you've taken away so far from the fantasy

1:02:14

season that you either love or you hate, you can just like

1:02:16

get it off your chest while you have the platform? Well,

1:02:20

I am not loving the running backs,

1:02:22

but I am loving, because there have

1:02:24

been so many injuries, but I am

1:02:26

loving the value that we found with

1:02:28

Kamara and with Connor. I

1:02:30

feel like those surprises and the idea that

1:02:32

there are all of these vets, we

1:02:35

want the shiny new toy, but also the value

1:02:37

that you can get on a tried and true vet

1:02:39

has been really remarkable this season. Do

1:02:41

you want to know what I'm loving? That's how I want to go around the table.

1:02:43

Because I will pound the

1:02:46

table for these running backs who are

1:02:48

in beyond their first contract, who are doing

1:02:50

so well, and I am so happy to

1:02:52

see the Saquon Barclays of the world, the

1:02:54

Alvin Kamaras, and eventually it

1:02:57

will be Christian McCaffrey. You're Aaron

1:02:59

Joneses? Yeah, Aaron Jones thriving in

1:03:01

Minnesota. Like this makes my heart

1:03:03

happy. Running backs are not done.

1:03:05

People stop saying that after their

1:03:07

rookie contract. There are some running

1:03:09

backs who are basically the

1:03:11

heartbeat of their team, and you were seeing it.

1:03:13

Saquon Barkley did that, carried the Giants, and now

1:03:15

he's thriving in Philadelphia. So happy for these guys.

1:03:17

Yeah, I do want to give you a bunch of love on that

1:03:19

Aaron Jones call Stefania. You were the only one on the podcast that

1:03:22

felt this way. I heard him. Yeah, and you just

1:03:24

saw how much he meant to Green Bay. I think that

1:03:26

was really cool to see. Field, real quick, anything

1:03:28

you got? The rookie wide receivers, meeting expectations so far.

1:03:30

Maybe even exceeding them in the case of Malik Nabors.

1:03:32

Right, how much two years been great. Xavier Ligueta in

1:03:34

a breakout game this past weekend. Xavier Worthy's going to

1:03:37

have to play a big role for the Chiefs. I'm

1:03:39

forget, Roman Dunsley had a massive game for the Bears.

1:03:41

Lattmikanti scored. Lattmikanti's been good, and of

1:03:43

course, Marvin Harrison, three straight games of the touchdown.

1:03:46

It was an historic wide receiver class, and so

1:03:48

far, so good. All right, that's going to

1:03:50

do it for us here on Fantasy Focus.

1:03:52

We'll be back tomorrow. Me, Mike, and Field

1:03:54

talking rankings on Wednesday. Thank you for watching

1:03:56

Fantasy Focus football presented by Boost Mobile. Don't

1:03:58

forget to love each other. Be kind to

1:04:00

yourself, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Traeger

1:04:30

and the Home Depot. How doers get

1:04:32

more done.
