FriGay episodes are based around a Horrific themes in life and in movies. Each episode starts with the real life horrors like Racism, Sexism, Current Politics and so on but they approach these Horrors with a LGBT perspective. With this episodes can be and are usually raw and personal, but Matty and Andrew do an excellent job making fun of the causes for these horrors and laugh often through the episode with what they call “Silly gay nonsense”. The thing I really love about these two is that Andrew and Matty tie in the real life horror to the movie horror in the second half. This direct correlation between both segments is a great way to tie in not only a LGBT struggles but struggles that affect us as a society because let's be honest it's a scary time to live in for many people. Absolutely adore this show. I love how Matty and Andrew talk about the real-life counterparts to the genre topics they’re discussing. They do so much research for each episode and do really interesting deep dives, you owe it to yourself to listen if you’re a horror fan.

The intro-theme to this show features cuts from many horror films and a jazzy little beat towards the end. This lets you know what you’re in for. Well, to be fair, the title alone lets you know this show is going to explore horror in the movies and in real life from the LGBT perspective. I don’t know that I’ve ever come across a more informative title!The audio and editing in this show is top-notch. The hosts are very comfortable together and really do bounce off of each other. This in turn lets the listener slip in to the show and enjoy the ride. The show is also well-researched and the conversation flows naturally and rapidly. There is no empty space, so to speak. This is quite a long show at time’s too so it’s great for a commute/long drive.I particularly enjoyed the review of the movie Creep: “Just put your back to the water. Or don’t go.” ? So, so true.Overall, this is a well-made and enjoyable show. Give it a try if you’re looking for a new horror show to sink your claws in to. Let’s get slayed together. ?

This is a two-for-one special. First the hosts dive into real-life horror, then they explore the horror genre in film. Two podcast genres in one! I was not surprised to realize that the real-life horrors are always worse than the ones that filmmaker try to create. Fun, engaging, horrifying, high-quality, and repping the LGBT community. There’s a lot to love!

What a perfect mix of horror and humor!! These guys are hilarious and bring such a refreshing take on all the things horror. I live their chemistry. The show is well put together from start to finish with great audio as well! Really enjoyed their serial killer episode and appreciate the cereal killer joke at the beginning. And am even more to get to a few shows they mentioned in the episode as well!
