This show has the fun of a sit-com with a through line story Scify fanatics will absolutely love. Get listening!
The restaurant at the beginning of the universe. This is great stuff! Witty, fun, and a lot of heart. And burgers.
Writing, acting and bizarre theme that grips you from the first episode. Binged and now patiently awaiting next months episode. What has Eva done!Best sci- fi podcast out there. How do I support when it is not on Patreon?
Midnight BurgerHi, Elaine! Thanks so much for your kind words! We decided to do a whole season before launching a Patreon so that people would have a good sense of what the show is and to let them know that we are …
Amazing show! Part sci-fi, part surreal drama, Midnight Burger is just the kind of high quality show I can´t help being addicted to from the get go. Everybody does an excellent job, the writing is so clever, the dialogue is witty and feels really easy and natural. I catch myself sitting with a big smile on my face while listening, or indeed laughing out loud. The characters are likeable and presented by the most talented actors. Can everyone just start listening to this, please!!!
This is a really original show. I love the old time radio personalities. The voice acting is really good. I like the wacky chef character.
A wonderfully original concept that’s just so well executed. You can feel the excitement that must go into the research of the big ideas that are just picked up and explored for fun in this show. Also - great cast, superb performances, best title. Love this show.
Seems to be nonsense and I gave up after the first episode
I love this podcast. Everything about it. The voice acting, the concept, everything. It’s wonderful. Can’t wait for the next episode!
Found this show thanks to someone suggesting it to me on twitter and I love it! It's so cute and such a comfort listen. Can't wait for more!
This is hilarious. Can we be friends?
OUR PSYCHOTIC BREAK HAS ARRIVED!!!Combining wit, social commentary, snappy dialogue, great soundtrack, and profound introspective philosophical insight Midnight Burger is in rare—extremely rare company… like EOS 10, Sayer, Wolf 359, Aldergate Papers, and King Falls AM…
Midnight BurgerHey Dan. We just came across this review. Thank you for these very kind words and thank you so much for listening!
This show has satiated my most recent audio drama cravings; a weird-fiction and sci-fi sandwich, a side-order of theoretical physics jokes, and a tall glass of some of the finest voice acting I've ever heard. The closest comparison I can make is this: it's like Doctor Who if Doctor Who were written by Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, and Douglas Adams—but that's only the closest comparison because there aren't precise enough words for the feelings I have about how great this show is! I adore all of the characters (my favorites among them being Effie, Gloria, and Leif), the writing is solid, the comedy is well-done, and I found myself enthralled-at-first-listen. The best decision I made this year was subscribing to their feed. I can't wait for more episodes. If you're not listening to Midnight Burger, you are severely missing out.
Midnight Burger is a fun adventure in time and space (like Doctor Who) except it's an American (?) diner, and it's more philosophical, psychological and possibly hard sci-fi, kinda like Rick & Morty... But less weird, and yet just as strange... It's engaging, reflective and the adventures are fun!
Came across midnight burger on Reddit and thought it sounded like an intriguing concept but it's much more that that - it's well acted, Well produced, funny, weird and warm hearted all in one.
Midnight burger was one of the podcasts I had near to no idea what awaits me and started thinking I'll most probably drop. So I played the first episode, and that was it. I was done for.I really like the writing and every episode it reminds me how I've never heard of a podcast with same perfect humor. Somewhere I read how clear as day it is the effects of pandemic and quarantine on the whole idea and the play out. Maybe one of the very few miracles that era has left for us, has left for me.And if time and tide roiled me too harshly, or diurnal course leave me with no safe havens, I'll remember you're out there, somewhere, looking for me.I'll wait for a stop.
My favorite audiodrama!! It will leave you hooked.
Ok, now I know why people get addicted to this show and never want it to end. It *feels* like Dr. Who, though it’s not *like* Dr. Who. The writing and acting is superb. The storylines as goofy as they are poignant, though it takes a while to see the latter.
This is one of those shows that I held out on listening to for a while because it just didn't sound interesting based on other people's pitches. I'm glad I finally decided to give the show a chance because it instantly went to the top of my list of shows I enjoy and recommend to everybody
This audiodrama is fantastic, full stop. I've listened to the first season multiple times because I just can't move on from it. A perfect blend of humor, drama, and science (well researched science no less), and it really just has something for everyone.I adore all the characters and every single voice actor delivers a fabulous performance (a special shout out to the effervescent Effie and Zeb, who just add a special something that I haven't seen in any other podcast).Seriously, just stop what you're doing and listen to it, then listen to it again because I can guarantee you'll want to.
The way I pitch this show to people is "Doctor Who but with a diner and Americana". (Diners are really having a cultural moment, aren't they?) Seriously, you should check out this show. It's smart as a whip and incredibly funny. There's just something about a show with a strong set of characters where, whenever they open the door, they (and you) never know what time, space, or genre they'll step into next. This show has a little bit of everything, and excellent writing and sound design to boot.
