Welcome to the Moon Beaming

0:07

Podcast. I'm Sarah Faith Gottastiner,

0:09

an artist, author, and intuitive.

0:11

And together we'll explore life

0:14

through a creative and

0:16

spiritual lens. You'll learn

0:18

so much about mysticism,

0:20

creativity, consciousness, depth psychology,

0:22

business, and more. And

0:24

you'll get to listen

0:26

to conversations with luminaries

0:28

that you won't hear

0:30

anywhere else. With

0:32

each episode you'll

0:35

receive insights frameworks

0:37

inspiration and tools

0:39

to help you

0:42

thrive and grow.

0:44

Hello and welcome

0:46

back to moon beaming.

0:49

I'm so happy you're

0:51

here because I get

0:54

to share one of

0:56

my favorite things to

0:59

talk about which is

1:01

using my intuition, and

1:04

messages from the universe,

1:06

aka all of consciousness,

1:09

my higher self, my

1:12

deeper self, and my

1:14

subconscious to create. And

1:16

in doing so, making

1:19

creation tied into the

1:21

greater web of the

1:24

collective, as well as

1:26

making creation easy and

1:29

flowing. not something that

1:32

I have to effort

1:34

around, not something that

1:37

I have to push

1:39

around or force around

1:41

or grit my teeth

1:44

around. And I just

1:47

want everyone to be

1:49

able to access more

1:52

aliveness, more

1:54

support, more flow,

1:56

and more flow, and

1:58

more ease. in this year.

2:01

This is one of the

2:03

main reasons why I am

2:05

bringing back my very popular

2:07

and very successful weekend workshop

2:10

called Clear Channels. Clear Channels

2:12

is a weekend workshop on

2:14

March 1st and March 2nd

2:16

so we're just a couple

2:18

of weeks away enrollment. ending

2:21

is just around the corner.

2:23

It is a workshop for

2:25

getting really clear in your

2:27

channel, getting really clear with

2:30

your intuition, really getting a

2:32

very, very nurturing and supportive

2:34

relationship with your creativity, and

2:36

then after you anchor into

2:39

that and feel really good

2:41

about that and feel really

2:43

good about your flow and

2:45

your process, offering your knowledge

2:47

and your talents and your

2:50

shares out into the world

2:52

in a form of my

2:54

favorite digital channel, probably other

2:56

than this podcast, a newsletter.

2:59

So we focus on newsletters

3:01

because it is the best

3:03

investment I've ever made in

3:05

my business, period. Many people

3:07

have asked me to teach

3:10

business classes over the years

3:12

and I began with clear

3:14

channels because most of the

3:16

people I serve are intuitives,

3:19

they're creatives, their therapists, their

3:21

facilitators, they're all leading in

3:23

some way, they're all sharing

3:25

in some way, and they're

3:27

all here to express their

3:30

unique gifts, perspective, and point

3:32

of view in some way.

3:34

And the very best form

3:36

of media, I think, that

3:39

is attached to a place

3:41

where you can find your

3:43

people and collect your people

3:45

and gather your people and

3:48

get to know your people,

3:50

it's your newsletter. So that's

3:52

where I began. And if

3:54

you've been a little bit

3:56

over social media, which all

3:59

of us are, might I

4:01

present to you growing your

4:03

newsletter? Might I present

4:05

to you focusing on

4:08

spending the time to

4:10

develop your newsletter, your

4:12

voice, your gifts, all of

4:15

those skills so that

4:17

you can have a

4:19

supportive ecosystem? I love

4:21

my newsletter so much.

4:23

My newsletter connects me

4:25

with people all over

4:27

the world. My newsletter

4:29

allows the Moon

4:31

Studio to make

4:33

60% of their

4:36

sales from our

4:38

newsletter. Our newsletter has

4:40

helped us raise

4:43

over $100,000 for

4:46

grassroots orgs, for

4:48

other healers, for

4:50

rebuilding after the

4:53

fires in Maui. for

4:55

rebuilding after the fires

4:57

in Los Angeles. And

4:59

on and on, we've raised

5:01

money for black moms to

5:03

get them out of prison.

5:06

We've raised money for

5:08

people who really need

5:10

our support, for trans

5:12

lives, for abortion rights,

5:14

and we've given a ton

5:16

of money for land back. I

5:18

could really be here all day,

5:21

but it's all because of the

5:23

newsletter. you know, yes, we donate

5:25

profits and sales, you know,

5:28

to non-profits and mutual aid

5:30

and all of that, but

5:32

we wouldn't be able to

5:34

do that without our newsletter.

5:36

So that's where I wanted

5:38

to begin. If you think

5:40

you want to become an

5:42

artist in the next one

5:44

to two years, you need

5:46

a newsletter. If you are a musician

5:48

and you think you want to go

5:50

on tour in the next six months

5:52

to 18 months, you need a newsletter.

5:54

If you're a writer and you really

5:57

want to manifest a book proposal and

5:59

a book deal. you need a

6:01

newsletter. If you think you want

6:03

to start freelancing in the

6:05

next three to 18 months, like

6:07

on top of your day

6:09

job, like just seeing clients here

6:11

and there, you need a

6:14

newsletter. If you're a therapist and

6:16

you wanna get a wait

6:18

list for your clients, or you

6:20

wanna start doing groups, you

6:22

know, seeing like five to 20

6:24

people for a month or

6:26

something around a certain area, you

6:29

need a newsletter. If you're

6:31

a witch and you wanna connect

6:33

to other witches, you need

6:35

a newsletter. It just, there's no

6:37

getting around it. And

6:40

that's what we're gonna do in

6:42

Clear Channels. And so for you,

6:44

gentle podcast listener, we

6:47

have a code, we'll put

6:49

it in the show notes

6:51

until Friday. So in the

6:53

next couple of days, if

6:55

you wanna sign up for

6:58

Clear Channels, you will get

7:00

a discount if you listen

7:02

to this here podcast, which

7:04

you do, cause you're listening.

7:06

So we'll put the link

7:08

to Clear Channels in the

7:10

show notes and we'll also

7:13

put the code that is

7:15

good until this Friday. So

7:17

that's what I've got on

7:19

that. I love this class.

7:21

I'm also going to be

7:23

teaching sales and marketing for

7:26

sensitives, for creatives, for intuitives,

7:28

for facilitators, for leaders of

7:30

the new earth and the

7:32

new world. But I'm only

7:34

going to be teaching it

7:36

for people who sign up

7:38

for Clear Channels. And that

7:41

is because you need to

7:43

have a newsletter. You need

7:45

to be practicing your voice.

7:47

You need to be sharing

7:49

yourself in some way in

7:51

order to take this class,

7:53

period. So like you already

7:56

need to have something going

7:58

or about to go before

8:00

I begin to teach sales

8:02

and marketing done ethically, right?

8:04

So I did it. We

8:06

made it. I made all

8:08

of the announcements and I

8:11

tried to do it. as fast

8:13

as possible, as succinctly as possible, and as clear as

8:15

possible. And now let's get on to today's show. Like

8:17

I said, at the beginning, it's one of my favorite

8:19

topics. How to collaborate with the greater world, with the

8:21

collective, with all aspects of your consciousness to make creation

8:24

fun. People always ask me,

8:26

like, how can you

8:28

come up with? such

8:30

great podcasts and newsletters

8:33

and share like how do

8:35

you do it? Well, it's

8:37

not some crazy mathematical

8:41

equation. I create

8:43

from my intuition

8:46

and I trust and

8:48

I rely on help

8:50

from my beautiful oceanic

8:53

subconscious. and the universe and

8:55

the world. And guess what?

8:57

You could do it too.

8:59

There's something special about me. I'm

9:01

not special. I'm just a human

9:03

being who sometimes scrolls on her

9:05

phone sometimes at night and is

9:08

trying to stop doing that. You

9:10

know, like I'm just a human

9:12

being and so are you and

9:14

you can do it too. And

9:16

so I wanted to share one

9:18

of the simplest ways and funniest

9:20

ways that I do so. in

9:22

today's episode. So without further ado,

9:24

let's get into how I create.

9:26

Today I wanted to

9:28

give you a peek behind

9:31

the scenes of how I

9:33

create for my intuitive business.

9:36

I truly follow my

9:38

intuition. I truly follow

9:41

my intuition. I truly

9:43

follow my intuition. I

9:46

truly follow my intuition.

9:48

Listen in, I tune

9:50

in, and out of it,

9:53

creations come. My workshop series,

9:55

my classes, my

9:57

books, my newsletters.

9:59

things on social media, anything

10:02

you see me doing in public,

10:04

this podcast, of course, I use

10:06

my intuition. And today I'm gonna

10:09

take you through the different processes

10:11

of how I create. There's some

10:14

science fiction references, there's some intuitive,

10:16

subconscious, subliminal. I hate the word

10:19

hacks, but that's just what came

10:21

up. and there's some neuroscience in

10:23

there, you're gonna really like it

10:26

if you're a total nerd

10:28

about creation. If you're curious

10:30

to know how other people

10:32

making things create it, you're

10:34

gonna love today's episode. Hopefully

10:36

this episode will inspire and delight

10:38

you, have you thinking about your

10:41

own creative process and practice, you're

10:43

gonna wanna tune in if you're

10:45

feeling kind of blah. Life is

10:48

also a creative process, so. some

10:50

of the things I suggest

10:52

in today's episode might be

10:54

able to work for you

10:56

in your life. So don't

10:58

just turn it off because

11:00

you're like, well, I'm not a

11:03

creative. I am an engineer or

11:05

something. I'm sure it's very creative,

11:08

like everything is creative because we're

11:10

humans, of course. So let's just

11:12

dive in. Let's just get started.

11:15

There are a couple of precursors.

11:17

Real ones know. The real

11:19

one is knowing thy self

11:21

and knowing what you need

11:23

now. If you are burnt

11:25

out and exhausted, you're going

11:27

to need something different than if

11:30

you're super stoked on creating and

11:32

you have all this energy and

11:34

all these resources, right? And knowing

11:37

yourself also means thinking about what

11:39

you want to create, what you

11:42

want to explore, what kind

11:44

of life you want to

11:46

live, what you want to

11:48

refine, get better at thinking

11:50

about how you

11:52

want to feel,

11:54

thinking about how

11:57

you want to

11:59

serve and what

12:01

would be fun

12:04

for you. You don't

12:06

always have to know

12:08

the bigger picture. So if

12:10

that's what's stopping you,

12:13

I'm giving you permission to

12:15

just wipe that, just clear that

12:17

off the table, wipe it

12:19

from your mind. You don't have

12:21

to have a two -year plan

12:23

or a business plan. I

12:25

literally have never had either. This

12:27

might be the year I do so

12:29

every year. I'm like, how am I

12:31

going to streamline? And also, I know

12:33

myself and right now personally, I have

12:35

to unravel a little bit more. I

12:37

need to rest a little bit more.

12:39

I need to just chill a little

12:42

bit more at this point in my

12:44

life. So knowing yourself, knowing what's

12:46

going on with you,

12:48

understanding what your strengths might

12:50

be, thinking about what

12:52

you want the overall

12:54

energy to be of what

12:56

you're going to be

12:58

creating and how you're going

13:00

to be creating it. These are

13:03

all things you can think about

13:05

before hopping into this process I'm

13:07

going to share. You've

13:10

got to be interested in what you're doing. Hopefully

13:13

you'll be incredibly interested in what you're

13:15

doing for a while. Things change. Maybe

13:17

it's for a year. Maybe it's a

13:19

season. Maybe it's a few years. You

13:22

got to be interested in it though. And

13:24

you have to be

13:26

invested in getting

13:28

to know yourself

13:31

better through the process, which

13:33

brings me to number

13:35

one. Number one,

13:38

everything you create

13:40

is for you

13:43

first. This

13:45

flies in the face of

13:48

just about everything

13:50

we've been taught

13:53

as teachers, therapists,

13:55

service providers, healers,

13:57

readers, psychics. and

14:00

so on. It is also

14:02

contrary to a lot of

14:04

business advice which says pick

14:06

your avatar, pick your your

14:08

niche, tailor everything to your

14:11

audience and make it exactly

14:13

what they need and want

14:15

and are asking for. Now

14:17

that is a super smart

14:19

way to go about business

14:21

and you definitely have to

14:23

give folks what they want

14:26

or else you're not going

14:28

to have a business. I

14:30

do surveys every year. I

14:32

talk to my folks. I

14:34

ask them what they want

14:36

a couple times a year

14:38

because my business is a

14:40

place where I am of

14:43

service and I'm serving folks

14:45

and all of that advice.

14:47

It's not advice. It's like

14:49

best business practices to serve

14:51

your audience and give them

14:53

what they want. 1, 1,000.

14:55

And also. If you're listening

14:58

to this, you are most

15:00

likely a hybrid kind of

15:02

person. What do they call

15:04

it? On the internet streets,

15:06

multi-hyphen it, right? You're probably

15:08

creative, intuitive. You might be

15:10

a fine artist, you might

15:13

be a writer with a

15:15

capital W, you might be

15:17

healing arts practitioner, you might

15:19

be a freelancer, you might

15:21

be a dog walker, and

15:23

a hip hop performer. Maybe

15:25

your business consists of different

15:27

components, different interests. You're probably

15:30

a visionary, and you're probably

15:32

wildly creative, and probably part

15:34

of your purpose or the

15:36

way you find peace or

15:38

meaning is through. following your

15:40

intuition and expressing the different

15:42

components of who you are.

15:45

Because your intuition is what

15:47

puts you on your unique

15:49

path and the key word

15:51

being unique. It's not going

15:53

to look like anyone else

15:55

is doing. It's going to

15:57

be singular. Your purpose called

16:00

It's not a conference call.

16:02

It's not a group text.

16:04

The universe didn't group chat

16:07

millions of people giving them

16:09

the same exact assignment. Your

16:12

assignment is unique to you.

16:14

Isn't it fucking bizarre that

16:17

in the intuitive world or

16:19

the intuitive creative world or

16:22

whatever? We're told to do

16:24

everything the same. And everything

16:26

sometimes looks the same with

16:29

the same colors and the

16:31

same photos and the same

16:33

words. Isn't that strange a

16:36

little bit if it's supposed

16:38

to be intuitive? Why is

16:41

everything looking the same? Or

16:43

we're given advice to follow

16:45

that is super born out

16:48

of this dehumanizing capitalism and

16:50

business and MBAs and this

16:52

very old structure that is

16:55

a way of living and working

16:57

that at the very least

17:00

is undergoing some pretty intense

17:02

revisions right now, and at

17:04

most, at the very most,

17:07

is dying, getting composted,

17:09

and becoming reborn.

17:12

And you are part of that

17:14

change. That recalibration.

17:17

You are not outside of it.

17:19

You are defining it. You are

17:21

not outside of it. You are

17:23

defining it. for yourself

17:26

and refining it for

17:28

yourself and living it

17:30

as much as anyone else,

17:32

which means you must engage

17:35

with it in it and

17:37

have your own ideas,

17:39

process boundaries, all of it

17:41

around it, which means you've

17:44

got to use your intuition

17:46

and be with what wants

17:49

to come forth from you

17:51

and be brave enough to

17:54

bring it forth in the

17:56

way that excites and delights

17:59

you. Yes! There are strategies

18:01

and systems that must

18:03

be implemented. Systems for

18:06

the win. Yes, there

18:08

are bona fide marketing

18:10

tactics that work. Totally.

18:13

Those come after, excuse

18:15

my language, fucking around

18:17

for a bit, figuring

18:20

out what you like,

18:22

what you don't like.

18:25

clarifying what it is

18:27

you'd like to be

18:29

doing and learning and

18:32

creating for the next

18:34

while. Anywhere from the

18:36

current season, like winter,

18:39

spring, to the next

18:41

couple of years. If

18:43

everything you're doing in

18:46

your creative practice or

18:48

in your business, is

18:50

completely directed outside of

18:53

yourself and to other

18:55

people, you're going to

18:57

burn out. How are

19:00

you going to have

19:02

a full cup? How

19:04

are you going to

19:07

strengthen your intuition in

19:09

general? If everything you

19:11

do is by BHEST

19:14

and request, it's someone

19:16

contacting you asking for

19:18

just their needs. We

19:22

must create give from

19:24

a full cup. No,

19:26

we can't do that

19:28

all the time at

19:30

100% with everything every

19:32

day, but we can

19:35

turn up with as

19:37

much presence, compassion, curiosity,

19:39

and care that we

19:41

have that day. And

19:43

if that's 40%, that

19:45

40% is our 100%.

19:47

And we've got to

19:49

involve ourselves in this.

19:51

equation. We must shift

19:53

the conversation, the paradigm,

19:55

on a fundamental level

19:57

for those of us

19:59

who provide care for

20:01

others, whether it be

20:04

in the healing arts,

20:06

in energy work, in

20:08

psychic work, and intuitive

20:10

work, and creative work, just

20:12

as much as we are

20:14

decolonizing our practices and

20:17

truly recalibrating what it

20:19

looks like to be well or

20:21

in integrity or at least trying,

20:24

right? All of this now is

20:26

a shift in how we're doing

20:28

things. Have you ever heard the

20:30

saying that Every reading you give,

20:33

every healing you give is

20:35

for you. Everything you

20:37

create is for you.

20:40

I'll speak from the

20:42

eye. Everything I create

20:44

is for me. It's

20:47

either something I need to

20:49

grow through, focus on,

20:52

or learn more about.

20:54

So when I create

20:56

something, I'm not. creating

20:59

something I'm not.

21:01

architecting a workshop series

21:03

on something I know nothing about.

21:05

Everything I present I could probably

21:07

present an entire workshop based on

21:10

my own knowledge and skill sets.

21:12

I'm never outside of my lane.

21:14

I've been asked many times to

21:16

teach on things that I feel

21:18

like are outside of my lane.

21:21

Like a lot of people want

21:23

me to teach about Jewish mysticism

21:25

and I never will. I'm a

21:27

student, forever student. A lot of people

21:30

have asked me to teach

21:32

on ancestry and ancestor work,

21:34

will never do that. I'm

21:36

a student, and I'm really

21:38

clear about those things. I'm

21:40

not going to just teach

21:42

folks things because they're asking

21:44

for it, and I think

21:47

I can make money off of it

21:49

or something. I've never been

21:51

motivated by that, you know. So

21:54

we're not separate from our business.

21:56

We are the steward of... and

21:58

the heart of our business. Therefore,

22:00

we must be cared for. And

22:03

this has been something I've been

22:05

rewriting and refining and reworking in

22:07

my business since the beginning. Because

22:10

I have internalized and I had

22:12

internalized this very hardworking hustle mentality

22:15

that is very sacrificial around work.

22:17

because it had been seared in

22:19

me. Speaking of ancestor stuff and

22:22

work, like there's a lot of

22:24

stuff in my bones around that.

22:26

I started work at 12. I

22:29

was a babysitter. Then I worked

22:31

in diners and restaurants and TJ

22:33

Fridays. And then I worked in

22:36

advertising and in corporate America, where

22:38

you also essentially work your face

22:40

off and work always has to

22:43

come first. And in some levels.

22:45

I took that into my business

22:47

and it's harmful and it's something

22:50

I'm always working on pun intended.

22:52

It was also hard for me

22:55

in my business because I loved

22:57

in the beginning of my business

22:59

I was like a light with

23:02

spirit and like I was on

23:04

a mission and I was so

23:06

lit up and I was so

23:09

just like glowing about what I

23:11

did and I was so obsessed

23:13

with what I did and I

23:16

just loved it so much that

23:18

it was very hard for me

23:20

to turn it off. So it

23:23

was this funny blurred line. Maybe

23:25

some of you can relate. Essentially

23:27

when I started my business, I

23:30

was doing things that I would

23:32

just do for free. You know?

23:35

And then things changed and that's

23:37

a story for another day. But

23:39

that's kind of also where the

23:42

work stuff got blurred lines because

23:44

I loved it so much. I

23:46

could just do it forever.

23:49

I'm kind of

23:51

like side railing,

23:53

so I'll come

23:56

back, I'll come

23:58

back, I'll come

24:00

back. So making

24:03

sure what we're

24:05

creating for us in

24:08

some way, shape or form,

24:11

is also this closed loop

24:13

system and process that I've

24:15

spoken about on the podcast

24:17

and highlight in clear channels

24:19

because we do need metrics

24:21

for ourselves in our

24:24

business and in our creative

24:26

process and we also

24:28

need to experiment. So when

24:30

I say this is for us, it can

24:32

work on multiple levels, like creating the

24:34

next thing because it feels really fun and

24:36

interesting and

24:39

also it could be making something

24:41

easy for you to make, relatively

24:43

easy, that you know is gonna

24:45

result in sales and is gonna

24:47

serve your people, right? It's both

24:49

making something you're gonna enjoy talking

24:51

about and sharing about because it's

24:54

genius and was really fun and

24:56

cool to make or the topic

24:58

is just so exciting to you

25:00

and it helped you so much

25:02

and it changed your life. So

25:05

with clear channels, my upcoming workshop,

25:07

I'm using this as an example,

25:09

I wanted to get back into

25:11

channeling, I wanted to channel

25:13

a lot of the class, so

25:16

I did, a lot of clear channels

25:18

was well, walk a walk up,

25:20

channeled. You can also call it flow

25:22

state if that makes more sense to

25:24

you but when I say it was

25:26

channeled or when I say I'm like

25:28

an intuitive business person, I

25:30

have this method where I

25:33

get out of my own way,

25:35

I contact spirit and I

25:37

ask them, hey, like what do

25:39

folks need to know about? And

25:43

I see what wants to come through and

25:45

I utilize that alongside my experience

25:47

running a business that has

25:49

generated millions of dollars since 2012

25:51

with no advertising, all word

25:53

of mouth. This is the thing

25:55

I just want to underscore

25:58

because I think people start to...

26:00

think I'm on a lily pad.

26:02

Once I had a coach, one

26:04

of the most helpful things that

26:07

they said to me when they

26:09

were looking at people who were

26:11

responding to me on social media

26:14

is they said, I think that

26:16

people just think you're on a

26:18

cloud somewhere kind of waving a

26:21

wand around, but I know what

26:23

it takes to run a successful

26:25

business and you're working really hard.

26:28

And I was like, a sigh

26:30

of relief, I was like, someone

26:32

sees me. Thank you, right? Like,

26:35

I work, right? I'm not just

26:37

on a cloud waving a magic

26:39

wand. I started my business with

26:41

nothing, no contacts, no mailing list,

26:44

no social media following, no connections,

26:46

no money, no business background, no

26:48

nothing. And so along the way,

26:51

I've had to learn quick books,

26:53

copywriting, newsletter, building, So much sales

26:55

pages, I mean barely, I barely

26:58

use sales pages, but that's sorry

27:00

for another day. I've done it

27:02

all by myself, all on my

27:05

own, and so I know a

27:07

lot. I know what works and

27:09

what doesn't work. My business is

27:12

not run without strategy and without

27:14

looking at numbers. And I've also

27:16

advised dozens of freelancers and other

27:19

small business owners and creatives, some

27:21

of whom you absolutely know and

27:23

have heard of. And I see

27:26

what works and what doesn't work.

27:28

And it's important to break things

27:30

down and to demystify what's going

27:33

on for other people. And so

27:35

I do that a ton. in

27:37

clear channels. And I channel. So

27:40

if you want to experience me

27:42

channeling in real time, I do

27:44

that because for each group, I

27:47

touch upon what the particular group

27:49

most needs on an energetic or

27:51

emotional level and I share it

27:54

with the group and every time

27:56

it's different, it's super fun and

27:58

it's super rest. I wanted

28:00

to explore with different design

28:03

stuff and branding and I

28:05

think that's pretty clear. There

28:08

are a ton of other things too

28:10

that I wanted to play with.

28:12

I wanted to see if

28:14

a weekend-only workshop would be

28:16

successful and it was. I

28:18

wanted to explore with different

28:21

design stuff and branding

28:23

and a different kind

28:25

of offering altogether because

28:27

I really wanted to

28:29

do a business-themed offering.

28:31

I have so much to say

28:33

about business, and I wanted to

28:35

see if folks wanted that, and

28:38

that was absolutely a success. And

28:40

since Clear Channel's, I started a

28:42

sub-stack, like very quietly, no promotion

28:45

or anything like that, and I

28:47

already have paid subscribers. and I'm

28:49

doing it just for fun to

28:52

explore other ways of writing and

28:54

sharing myself, which is also something

28:56

I suggest to folks to try

28:58

depending on where they are in their

29:01

lives. I'm also exploring channeling in

29:03

all of my work across

29:05

the board. For example, the

29:08

strength archetype workshop I just

29:10

presented as well as the

29:12

archetypes of your year. were

29:14

very infused with spirit and

29:17

flow states and channels. And

29:19

clear channels all the times

29:21

I've presented have been total

29:23

successes. You know, a lot

29:25

of folks showed up, hundreds

29:27

of people. It's really effective

29:30

as well for them. Folks

29:32

generated a ton of ideas

29:35

and writing and inspiration and

29:37

insights. And this really cool

29:39

thing happened where different accountability

29:42

groups sprung up and writing

29:44

groups like multiple. That's so

29:46

amazing. The people that take

29:49

our classes are the very

29:51

best. They are compassionate, loving,

29:53

brilliant, smart kind, and they

29:56

want to connect with one

29:58

another. So that was so awesome and

30:00

that's also what happens in

30:02

the moon studio knowing that

30:05

there are these mycelium networks

30:07

that are springing up and

30:09

and they keep going after

30:11

the fact and as a

30:13

facilitator who understands how important

30:15

community is and who is

30:17

yearning for community myself that's

30:19

a great success like that's

30:21

a great measure of success

30:23

for me. So I know

30:26

that often and I want

30:28

to highlight success for other

30:30

people. with this idea of

30:32

creating first for yourself because

30:34

I think immediately people will

30:36

jump to like, oh, you're

30:38

being selfish or whatever, but

30:40

it will always serve other

30:42

people when you are in

30:44

alignment with yourself. I shared

30:47

in clear channels how often

30:49

folks who read for other

30:51

people will get burnt out

30:53

because they're using all of

30:55

their energy to heal others

30:57

in an ineffective way instead

30:59

of using source energy. And

31:01

that is a recipe for

31:03

disaster. It's a recipe for

31:05

getting so drained. And when

31:07

you realize at all times

31:10

you have the ability to

31:12

work with and collaborate with

31:14

source energy that wants to

31:16

help you, everything from coming

31:18

up with ideas to helping

31:20

others, everything just gets so

31:22

much easier. And Depending on

31:24

your belief levels and your

31:26

cosmologies, maybe you don't think

31:28

it's the universe or source

31:31

or God or your angels,

31:33

maybe it's simply you at

31:35

your best when you're letting

31:37

go as your higher self

31:39

or your wiser self or

31:41

your deeper self or the

31:43

you without ego. And we

31:45

want to be in that

31:47

state ideally as much as

31:49

possible, and specifically when we

31:52

go to create. And this

31:54

is also how creation doesn't

31:56

feel awful. Right? Like creation

31:58

can be hard and arduous

32:00

and... challenging and filled with

32:02

doubt, believe me, believe me, I

32:04

know. But flow states really

32:06

help and they must

32:08

be cultivated so that it

32:11

doesn't have to feel hard all

32:13

the time. And in fact,

32:15

if it's feeling so, so, so,

32:17

so, so, so hard, it would be

32:19

a good time to take

32:21

a good look about what

32:23

you're doing or how you're

32:26

doing it and your overall

32:28

relationship with yourself. The last

32:30

thing I want to share on

32:32

this tip before we move on

32:34

is when I teach right share

32:36

I need to be present and

32:39

I need to be either having

32:41

fun or plumbing some new depths

32:43

or presenting things that

32:46

are like very interesting to

32:48

me. Do you want a

32:50

teacher who is a robot and

32:52

who is checked out or who

32:55

is scared or who is bored

32:57

of what they're doing? Do you

32:59

want? a facilitator who

33:01

is codependent and totally

33:03

like immeshed on every single

33:06

person and is only doing

33:08

what they're doing because they

33:10

think it is what they

33:12

should be doing or if

33:14

they secretly need people to

33:16

love them and that's why

33:18

they're doing it or name

33:20

your other weird mix cross-cross-signals

33:22

thing. I don't. That's not good.

33:24

That's codependent. And

33:27

possibly cult-like. Do I love

33:29

the people who sign up for

33:31

my classes with my whole heart?

33:33

I would be best friends with

33:35

a lot of them, most

33:37

of them. Sometimes my friends

33:40

sign up for my classes

33:42

and it's the best compliment

33:44

on the planet. It's like,

33:46

whoa, this person who I love

33:48

with my whole heart, like they

33:50

wanna learn from me? It's like

33:52

so cool, right? Do I want

33:54

every single person? every single

33:57

person who takes one

33:59

of my classes, or

34:01

listens to my podcast, or

34:03

reads Many Moons, to grow,

34:06

expand, be a wild success,

34:08

1,000 percent. Hello, it's called

34:10

my dream world, beautiful, creative,

34:13

brilliant, kind, sensitives, and intuitives

34:15

living in purpose and abundance.

34:18

Sign me up for this

34:20

world. Survivors and people with

34:22

PTSD and C PTSD and

34:25

neurodivergence thriving and helping one

34:27

another. Hello, sign me up.

34:30

This is the world that

34:32

I want to create. So

34:34

when I say I do

34:37

everything first for myself, it's

34:39

so I can do the

34:42

work that I do. This

34:44

is the new paradigm. We

34:47

can be of service and

34:49

not be servants. We're running

34:51

our energy different. Okay. I

34:54

got a little bit strident,

34:56

but we're moving on to

34:59

number two. Number two is

35:01

structure, proceeds, flow. Stability, proceeds,

35:03

movement. We need containers. Create

35:06

core intentions and fun rules

35:08

and go from there. I

35:11

think of what I'm offering,

35:13

whether it's a newsletter or

35:15

a podcast or a book

35:18

or an Instagram post. as

35:20

an offering that has intentions

35:23

woven into it. This is

35:25

also where the whole energetic

35:28

part comes in. In clear

35:30

channels, I share that if

35:32

you know what you want,

35:35

you can reverse engineer your

35:37

success. I have clear outcomes

35:40

that I want for folks

35:42

in clear channels to go

35:44

within, to connect with self

35:47

and intuition, to get into

35:49

flow states, to clarify what

35:52

their work is, who it's

35:54

for, and then to think

35:56

about how that will also

35:59

live in a public offering

36:01

in a space that they

36:04

own. which now is the

36:06

newsletter format. So get your

36:08

structure together, whether it's an

36:11

outline, whether it's the outcome,

36:13

whether it's the length of

36:16

the newsletter or an e-book,

36:18

or again a social media

36:21

post, maybe it's a workshop

36:23

series, or a whole podcast

36:25

series or newsletter series. We

36:28

go into all of that

36:30

in the workshop. Structure proceeding

36:33

flow will also help any

36:35

anxious parts. that are starting

36:37

to get more anxious, that

36:40

one might have, it calms

36:42

it down. Any time the

36:45

brain freaks out about creating

36:47

and putting work out there,

36:49

which it will, go back

36:52

to the structure, the outline,

36:54

and your intentions. Clarify those

36:57

intentions and see how what

36:59

you're going to create will

37:02

honor those intentions. both to

37:04

your people, to your muse,

37:06

to the greater world, and

37:09

to yourself, from seed to

37:11

bloom. So start with the

37:14

bones, start with the heart

37:16

of the matter. the core

37:18

of the outcome you want

37:21

or the core truth you

37:23

want to share and then

37:26

get nitty gritty and create

37:28

bullet points and create the

37:30

main points of what it

37:33

is you're sharing and break

37:35

it down into simple steps.

37:38

We can be prone to

37:40

nebulous thinking and ideas and

37:42

we have to break things

37:45

down simply and easily in

37:47

order to communicate them effectively.

37:50

This is why also you

37:52

see everywhere like three things

37:55

your podcast needs in 2024.

37:57

I mean that's also just

37:59

SEO. stuff going on. And

38:02

also, the human brain

38:04

wants structure. Our brains

38:07

are rewarded, the

38:09

chemicals and our brains

38:11

are rewarded when they're

38:13

structure, when there's a

38:16

beginning, a middle, and

38:18

an end. And we

38:20

talk about that too, and

38:22

the workshop too. So yes,

38:25

structure, then flow.

38:27

Outlines, then just vibe.

38:29

Try it. Okay. Number

38:31

three is how I actually,

38:33

this is like my secret

38:36

that I've never told

38:38

anyone before. It's how

38:40

I create offerings, share

38:43

things for the public

38:45

for my clients and

38:47

customers. I call it

38:50

the carrier bag method

38:52

of creation. I coined

38:54

this term from the

38:57

famous Ursula K. Laguin

38:59

piece. There's a free PDF,

39:01

all linked to in the

39:04

show notes for this. It's

39:06

called the carrier bag theory

39:08

of fiction, and like

39:10

all fantastic ideas, we

39:12

can apply it to

39:15

everything we do. In

39:17

the piece, Laguin argues

39:19

for a carrier bag

39:21

method of writing instead

39:23

of the more... patriarchal

39:26

way, which would be like

39:28

a spear. Essentially,

39:31

going back to gathering

39:33

instead of hunting.

39:35

And Lagoin quotes,

39:37

I love this, that's

39:40

why I'm going to read

39:42

it out loud. The first

39:45

cultural device was

39:47

probably a recipient.

39:49

Many theorizers feel

39:52

that the earliest

39:54

Cultural inventions

39:57

must have been a

39:59

container. to hold gathered products

40:01

and some kind of sling

40:04

or net carrier. I love

40:06

this so much. Don't you

40:08

love this? Let's go a

40:11

little deeper on this. Okay.

40:13

What you notice and bring

40:15

into your sphere is what

40:18

makes you you. How you

40:20

engage with disparate things. how

40:22

you explain them and remix

40:24

them and create intriguing connections

40:27

and stories about them is

40:29

what creates a singular point

40:31

of view. And a singular

40:34

point of view is what

40:36

folks remember in marketing speak.

40:38

It's sticky. Once the structure

40:41

is down, the core idea,

40:43

the core offering, the core

40:45

outcome, is clear, the why,

40:48

the what, then we get

40:50

to play, play, play with

40:52

the how. So cast a

40:54

net, cast a net very

40:57

wide. Notice what other relatable

40:59

things pop up for you

41:01

as you're thinking about your

41:04

subject or what you're going

41:06

to share. Quotes, poems, images,

41:08

notice what conversations you begin

41:11

to have with others and

41:13

with the greater world around

41:15

you and start gathering. Have

41:18

an organized place to put

41:20

all the material you've gathered.

41:22

Maybe it's a spreadsheet, maybe

41:24

it's a mix of notion

41:27

in your notes app, maybe

41:29

it's Google Docs, make it

41:31

relatively organized and create a

41:34

system around it. Maybe a

41:36

newsletter headline pops into your

41:38

head and you put it

41:41

in your notes app because

41:43

you're in line at the

41:45

grocery store, then a couple

41:48

days later you go through

41:50

your notes and you organize

41:52

them. in a notion document

41:54

that you tag. This is

41:57

super useful to your project,

41:59

to your brain, to your

42:01

thoughts, but when you get

42:04

stuck and you don't know

42:06

what to write about or

42:08

share about, you can always

42:11

visit your data bank of

42:13

inspiration of related topics. When

42:15

you feel super inspired, plan

42:18

a session of brainstorms or

42:20

idea generation. And it can

42:22

be 25 minutes. You know

42:25

how many headlines you can

42:27

come up with? In 25

42:29

minutes, you know how many

42:31

ideas about a subject you

42:34

can come up with in

42:36

25 minutes? And you can

42:38

also bring in images, poems,

42:41

other articles, like how I

42:43

brought in Ursula Kayla Gwen

42:45

with this podcast episode, you

42:48

name it. Create a carrier

42:50

bag for your work. and

42:52

you'll always have something to

42:55

say and to share. And

42:57

over time, this also serves

42:59

as a guide for what

43:01

you're interested in. And as

43:04

our interests fuel our work,

43:06

our interests might also become

43:08

our work. So for all

43:11

of you cuties who are

43:13

like, I have no idea

43:15

what to say or what

43:18

to write about, so I'm

43:20

not going to do anything.

43:22

No. No, you little cutie.

43:25

You don't get off that

43:27

easily. No excuses. Okay, start

43:29

your carrier back. Notice what

43:31

catches your eye. Notice the

43:34

text that you send your

43:36

friend and they're like replying

43:38

with the mind blown emoji.

43:41

Notice if you have a

43:43

really awesome walk with your...

43:45

date and you too are

43:48

talking about the most interesting

43:50

things like jot it down

43:52

that can serve as the

43:55

start of a story or

43:57

a newsletter or an IG

43:59

post or something like we're

44:01

sharing our life with the

44:04

world and our world can

44:06

expand and can be another.

44:08

place where we get inspiration

44:11

from. Number four, prime, you're

44:13

subconscious to do the heavy

44:15

lifting. This is the last

44:18

method I use for creation.

44:20

It's the most mystical one,

44:22

for sure, saved the most

44:25

mystical one for the end.

44:27

I engage with the world.

44:29

and my subconscious mind. To

44:31

bring me what I need.

44:34

In other words, life helps

44:36

me write and create. Whether

44:38

that is a podcast episode,

44:41

a full-blown, six-hour, 12-hour course,

44:43

an essay for many moons,

44:45

I'm relying on the world

44:48

and mysticism and the mystery

44:50

and my subconscious mind. And

44:52

Yerba Matte. She quit coffee,

44:55

but she still drinks Yerba

44:57

Matte and sometimes Matches. Okay,

44:59

this also begins to rewrite

45:02

our entire subconscious, which in

45:04

turn fuels number one. Remember

45:06

number one? Everything you create

45:08

is for you. So we

45:11

have this nice infinity loop,

45:13

the closed loop, a sustainable

45:15

loop. We love it. We

45:18

love resolution. We love feeding

45:20

the soil. A lot of

45:22

us have trust issues. No

45:25

judgment. I've got them too,

45:27

as an aside. I was

45:29

with my partner for like

45:32

two and a half, three

45:34

years. This is like part

45:36

of our relationship lure. And

45:38

he turns to me and

45:41

he says, you know, I

45:43

think you're starting to trust

45:45

me. And I said, yeah,

45:48

finally, I'm totally starting to

45:50

trust you. So if you've

45:52

got trust issues, I understand.

45:55

I understand. If you've got

45:57

relational trauma stuff, raising hands.

45:59

you know, you're in a

46:02

place of no judgment, no

46:04

shame, right? And I have

46:06

to say that part of

46:08

our spiritual practice includes

46:11

creating a strong

46:14

amount of trust with

46:16

the universe. Part

46:18

of our spiritual

46:20

practice being effective relies

46:22

on how much we

46:24

have trust with the

46:27

universe. Ask the universe

46:29

to give you the information

46:31

you need in order to

46:33

create whatever it is,

46:35

your workshop, your class, your

46:37

new product, your new service

46:40

line, your newsletter, your podcast,

46:42

the first draft of your book,

46:44

whatever, your new dance, choreography,

46:46

you have to come up

46:48

with for three weeks from

46:50

now, whatever it is. Like,

46:52

you can also just do this.

46:55

If you've made it this

46:57

far, I'll give you another

46:59

wisdom, teaching. You can also

47:01

do this with problems you

47:03

have. You can, before you

47:06

go to bed, you can ask

47:08

your subconscious, the

47:10

universe, whatever you believe

47:12

in, enough to give you

47:14

the answers you need in a

47:17

way you will be able to

47:19

receive them. Affirm to the

47:21

universe, God, your subconscious.

47:24

whatever you prefer, that you're

47:26

going to do the work. You're

47:28

going to sit down and go for

47:30

it, and then schedule in time

47:33

to sit down and put in the

47:35

work. Figure out how to get in

47:37

a flow state as well as much

47:39

as possible. You can be really specific

47:42

with the universe. Let the universe

47:44

know that what you will be

47:46

creating has to be for the

47:48

good of all. has to be

47:50

for the right people who will

47:52

be really helped, they'll be seen,

47:54

they'll be held, they're going to

47:56

benefit from what you develop, create,

47:58

and share. Again, even... if it's

48:00

like a painting series, even

48:03

if it's your book of

48:05

nonfiction, you know, whatever it

48:07

is, just like a firm,

48:09

it's ultimately going to be

48:11

for the best of all,

48:14

affirm it will be for

48:16

the best of all in

48:18

a useful and wonderful addition

48:20

to the entire planet. And

48:22

tell the universe. Hey universe,

48:24

God, spirit guide, helper, future

48:27

me. Again, whatever makes sense

48:29

for you. I have this

48:31

class I'm creating in three

48:33

months. Please help me structure

48:35

it, build it out, teach

48:38

it, and promote it with

48:40

a ton of spaciousness and

48:42

moderate ease. Please send me

48:44

the most awesome people that

48:46

I'm going to love and

48:48

that is going to make

48:51

the class better. If anyone's

48:53

been in a moon studio

48:55

chat, They're fire. I mean,

48:57

people are like, can we,

48:59

can I have the chat?

49:02

Please, I need the chat.

49:04

This chat is like, there's

49:06

links to books, links to

49:08

articles, so many ideas, people

49:10

sharing about how they got

49:13

through this really hard time,

49:15

people sharing what they're doing

49:17

to care for their aging

49:19

parent. Like, it's the best.

49:21

The people who show up

49:23

for my glasses are the

49:26

best, right? Because I'm affirming.

49:28

The people who show up

49:30

here are brilliant, they're geniuses,

49:32

they're compassionate, they're wonderful people

49:34

who are interested in bettering

49:37

themselves and bettering the planet

49:39

and helping one another. And

49:41

I can't wait to meet

49:43

them. Seriously, I'm being totally

49:45

serious when I say that

49:48

I do this. So you

49:50

can make it so specific,

49:52

right? You could be like,

49:54

hey universe. Give me signs

49:56

that I'm on the right

49:58

path with this workshop idea,

50:01

and then notice what comes

50:03

up for you in the...

50:05

coming days and weeks, right?

50:07

You can say, hey, like,

50:09

show me everything I need

50:12

to do to make this

50:14

the best experience for everyone

50:16

involved. When you do this,

50:18

you are priming your subconscious

50:20

to notice more and notice

50:23

certain things, the things you

50:25

are interested in. You are

50:27

recalibrating your reticular activating system,

50:29

which is the part of

50:31

the brain that regulates. behavioral

50:33

arousal, consciousness, and motivation. Should

50:36

I do an episode on

50:38

brain science and manifestation? I

50:40

think I should. So what

50:42

you notice changes and you

50:44

can also more easily see

50:47

that the field, the universe,

50:49

is always delivering you information,

50:51

support, and help. Sometimes our

50:53

vision gets really narrow and

50:55

we forget it. So let

50:58

the world help your creative

51:00

process. Let the universe help

51:02

you let the creatives you

51:04

admire help you in the

51:06

form of a quote a

51:08

poem an image an article

51:11

a book an idea we

51:13

are interdependent after all so

51:15

why wouldn't our creative process

51:17

also be and every time

51:19

you receive the right quote

51:22

the right idea an affirmation

51:24

and awesome glimmer that leads

51:26

to an inspiration. Thank the

51:28

universe. Thank your muse, your

51:30

future self, the mysterious forces

51:33

that conspire to help you.

51:35

And know that as you

51:37

are creating new things and

51:39

sharing them with the world,

51:41

you are also paying it

51:43

back. It's this interdependent reciprocal

51:46

process. It's you. and your

51:48

art and your words and

51:50

your creations. Go. into the

51:52

web of life and you

51:54

never know where or how

51:57

or with who it will

51:59

end up. Isn't that very

52:01

cool? That's how our art

52:03

and our creative work can

52:05

be like a spell too,

52:08

like a ritual for more.

52:10

This concludes my behind the

52:12

candelabra of how I create

52:14

many of my offerings. Hopefully

52:16

it really helped you. and

52:18

it quelled your noziness or

52:21

curiosity and it demystified the

52:23

mystic's process. And so here's

52:25

what you need to do

52:27

next. I've got three suggestions

52:29

for you. Try one to

52:32

or all three. All three

52:34

gets you farther. Number one,

52:36

use the process as a

52:38

guide to the next thing

52:40

you make. Number two, create

52:43

your own. Using your needs

52:45

and intuition. Number three, sign

52:47

up for clear channels. If

52:49

you love these kinds of

52:51

episodes where I go deep

52:53

into these kinds of things,

52:56

then you're just going to

52:58

want to take clear channels.

53:00

It's one weekend, and if

53:02

you got anything from this

53:04

episode, just imagine what a

53:07

whole weekend of this, but

53:09

much, much more is going

53:11

to be like. You're going

53:13

to come out with so

53:15

many ideas, insights, ahas, and

53:18

a plan. You're going to

53:20

love it all, and you're

53:22

going to create a newsletter.

53:30

Hello, that was today's episode.

53:32

I really, really hope you

53:34

can apply and integrate this

53:36

method, this beautiful feminine, life-based,

53:38

intuitive way of creating, and

53:40

let me know how it

53:42

goes. And if this excited

53:44

you and you want to

53:46

get more like under the

53:49

hood around creativity and working

53:51

with all aspects of your

53:53

consciousness for creative... then I

53:55

will see see

53:57

you very soon
