Nate DuFort is a writer, producer and director who splits his time between Detroit and Chicago. Nate is the Founder and Executive Producer of Soundsington Media, a children's podcast company focusing on quality audio programming for young audiences and the young at heart. His podcasts REACH: A Space Podcast for Kids, My Neighbors Are Dead, and Unspookable have been featured on Linkedin, NPR, CBC Radio, The New York Times, The Guardian, Forbes, Time Out New York, Fast Company, The A.V. Club, Vulture, the front pages of NPR One, Stitcher, and Apple Podcasts. Nate most recently served as the Creative Producer for Local Legend Films, having previously served as the Producer for Second City Theatricals, Producing Director for The Second City Touring Companies and the Producing Artistic Director for The Second City Detroit. Nate is currently directing The Second City and the Kennedy Center's Jazz Comedy Experiment coming to The Kennedy Center in the spring of 2020. Nate served on the Board of Directors for Planet Ant Theatre in Hamtramck, Michigan and from 2005 to 2007 served as the Director of the Planet Ant Film & Video Festival and has segment produced and juried festivals around North America.
