Nerdthusiasm is a word I made up, but one I believe that should have existed for a long time. It is the state of enjoying something - any particular interest - to the point of obsession. You know that thing in your life that when you start talking about it, you just can't seem to hold still? That's what you're nerdthusiastic about.I believe everyone either has something (at least one thing) about which they're truly passionate. I've met people who say they don't feel that. To them, I always respond, "It's out there; you just haven't found it yet. Don't stop looking."The Nerdthusiasm podcast chronicles my exploration of the world of nerdthusiasm. I'll talk to passionate people, and give them a chance to help me catch their fire. Whether it's blacksmithing, Dungeons and Dragons, birdwatching, spelunking, yodeling, or pepakura, if you're nerdthusiastic about it, I want to talk to you.
