Roberts, MD, is President & CEO of Lighthouse Guild, the leading organization dedicated to addressing and preventing vision loss. Is Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Med. College. As former SVP & CMO, Eye Care, Bausch Health Companies, coordinated dev/research for vision care/pharmaceutical/surgical businesses. As practicing ophthalmologist (1982-2008), performed 10,000+ cataract and 5,000 refractive/corneal surgeries. Developed surgical therapies, vision care products, ocular therapeutics and treatment regimens. Co-founded a pharmaceutical company and is a lecturer and author. Serves as Independent Director on many corporate boards and was consultant to Allergan, J&J and Novartis. Graduated Princeton Univ. and College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia Univ. He completed internship & ophthalmology residency at NY-Presbyterian Hosp./Columbia Univ. Med. Center. Completed cornea fellowships at Mass. Eye & Ear Infirmary and Schepens Eye Research Inst.
