Dr. Thalia Wheatley is a neuroscientist who studies the neural systems underlying social intelligence, perceiving cues to mind and mental connection, and perceiving emotion in movement and music. Currently, she is a Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Dartmouth College.Wheatley is the Project Investigator at the Dartmouth Social Intelligence Laboratory, which conducts research on how human beings understand and react to each other, and how human brains evolved to handle the computations underlying social intelligence, as well as two projects examining free will and morality.Wheatley received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
