My closing audiomantic ritual (“Dim Session”) for the soon-to-be-released Haunt Manual chapter (and conclusion of “Sine Wave Serpents”) was performed this week. The mechanics of instrumentation (talismans) utilized for the improvised set, like all prior, are deeply intentional and correlate to the hauntological workings professed in the chapter’s innards. This is why all ritual scores for the Haunt Manual audio chapters have been so radically different. This one utilizes lo-fi cassette manipulation, an old casio keyboard and a live-programmed drum machine to match the human error integration with automaton spits and spurts of my own overarching developments.
This recent musical experiment reminded me of the want to create a channeled lo-fi electronic and film-score-centric project entitled ECTOGASM (I reserved the name and its bandcamp years ago- which further proves the hauntomancy made manifest by bridging synapses long forgotten!)
