Alkahest Presents: A Podcast Reviews Reviews Podcast Review: A Rather Brief Preemptive Post-Retrospective; A Life There are few times within the breadth of history that art challenges every aspect of a medium. Vivisects it with the skill of a doctor, and the joy of a madman. This, my dear reader, has been one of those times. PRRP, in short, was the answer to the questions: "Are podcasts inherently artful? Can you truly make something worthwhile, something meaningful, out of nothing? Is the idea that existence proceeds essence valuable within art? Is an idea, and the ability to follow through on it enough in its own right?" Those answers being: No. Yes. Sometimes. Maybe? In any regard, PRRP was a unique show. Endlessly recursive in nature, absurd and silly without being needlessly unfocused or meandering, PRRP felt like a genuine venture into meaninglessness. An attempt to make something beyond meaning, beyond *a point*. It was, in a very real way, a Camusian venture. An embrasing of the void that we are all screaming, crying, singing, and pissing into at this very moment. this show will have had been a fantastic effort made by a wonderful person, and i will have had had become a better person for having had had listened to it. 4.5/5 stars.
