1:37

to the best of the PWTorch Dailycast,

1:39

our five -year -old flashback episode for

1:41

Monday, April 28th, 2025. Today,

1:43

we're jumping back to the April

1:46

30th, 2020 episode of the All

1:48

Elite Aftershow, Mike McMahon and Andrew

1:50

Socek discussing that night's AEW Dynamite,

1:52

which included the Bubbly Bunch video.

1:54

and what they liked about AEW

1:56

that week. Now let's look ahead

1:58

to some emails and wrap the

2:00

show by talking about how annoying Vince

2:03

Russo's marks are. Also

2:05

in the program they talked about TNA Rebellion,

2:07

where Moose became the new TNA champion

2:09

and a little bit more TNA talk,

2:11

even though that was their previous

2:13

beat. They normally stuck to AEW talk,

2:15

but on this episode they also

2:17

got into TNA with

2:19

their Rebellion event. This

2:21

originally live streamed on April 30th,

2:24

2020, and it is today's

2:26

PWTorch Dailycast, five years ago flashback,

2:28

best of addition for Monday,

2:30

April 28th, 2025. All

2:38

right,

2:41

Andrew, so check, I think next

2:43

week we should be on the bubbly

2:45

bunch, right? That's our turn. I

2:47

think so. It seemed like half

2:49

the population was on there tonight, so

2:51

I imagine next week is us.

2:53

Yeah, that was really cool. I know

2:55

you and I have criticized comedy

2:58

and impact in an AEW because a

3:00

lot of it isn't funny, but

3:02

that was one of the highlights of

3:04

the show for me was that

3:06

bubbly bunch video with Chris Jericho and

3:08

the inner circle and the cameos

3:10

involved. I

3:13

know I've argued that a guy like

3:15

Chris Jericho should not be doing stupid comedy

3:17

stuff, especially with Matt Hardy. But like

3:20

this video tonight, especially with the the cameos

3:22

they were they were able to get

3:24

if Chris Jericho is going to do some ha ha funny

3:26

stuff. This is the type of ha ha funny stuff that

3:28

he should do because I thought this was really funny. Yeah,

3:31

it started out and I was I

3:33

kind of grown in the first like

3:35

random thing was Peter Avalon, the librarian.

3:37

And I probably grown some more. And

3:39

then it kept I think I had

3:41

the same reaction that Jericho

3:43

deadlighter. I was like, what the hell is that? Lou Frank? No,

3:47

like, not expecting that one. I

3:50

get the whole rundown here. I

3:52

went back and rewatched it to commercial

3:54

and made a list. So the cameo started

3:56

with Peter Avalon, then with the

3:58

jungle boy, sunny kiss, Dr. Luther. And

4:00

I was like, okay, well, it's going to be some

4:02

other AEW talent. And then that's

4:04

when things went from good

4:06

to great, as they say, because

4:09

after Dr. Luther was Ted

4:11

Irvine. from an NHL player, also

4:13

Chris Jericho's dad. And

4:15

in the video, if you didn't see

4:18

it, I'm sure most of our listeners have,

4:20

but it was this thing where each

4:22

guy was kind of hitting the cameraman, and

4:24

then the next shot would cut to

4:26

the next guy, and they would sell whatever

4:28

the previous guy had just done. It

4:30

was pretty cool. So Ted Irvine was in

4:32

there, and then after Ted Irvine was

4:34

the Hulk himself, Lou Ferrigno. Oh,

4:36

by the way! still

4:38

looks like Lou Ferrigno, like from when he was

4:40

in the Hulk. Yeah, he's old, but he still

4:42

looks like him. Sometimes guys get old and you're

4:45

like, oh, man, he used to be the Hulk.

4:47

Like, no, he could play like an older version

4:49

of the Hulk right now. Like

4:51

the Hulk's dad. He can be Hulk's dad. I

4:54

mean, he's 68. Is he 68?

4:56

Wow. Yeah, just like, yeah, just like that.

4:58

I don't look that good now. Oh,

5:01

I will never look that good. I never

5:03

have never will. So after Lou

5:05

Ferrigno was Corey Taylor, who's the lead

5:07

singer of Slipknot, and then Duff McKagan

5:09

from Guns N' Roses, and

5:11

then Jay and Silent Bob, which I

5:13

thought was awesome. Gabriel N'

5:15

Glaces, Fluffy, one of the

5:17

probably biggest stand -up comedians on the planet. Brad

5:21

Williams, James Garrison

5:23

from Tiger King. Oh,

5:25

he was on there? Yeah. Oh,

5:27

I didn't even catch that jet ski

5:29

guy and he was on Jericho's podcast

5:31

a couple of weeks ago So a

5:33

lot of these people have like ties

5:35

to Jericho Jericho was in the Janssen

5:38

on the bomb movie that was out.

5:40

Obviously the music guys. I'm sure Jericho

5:42

knows Garrison was on Jericho's podcast. So

5:44

I'm sure that's how that came together

5:46

Then after that was Virgil Ryan

5:50

Neemiller, who was a comedian, he

5:52

was on America's Got Talent. He's missing an

5:54

arm, I think, or I don't think

5:56

I know. I don't know if, I believe, I

5:58

believe he was born that way, but yeah, he's missing

6:00

an arm. He's a stand -up comedian. He's really funny.

6:03

And then the last one was Vicki Guerrero, which

6:05

was awesome. So

6:07

I thought, that

6:09

probably took some time to put together

6:11

too. I imagine that video was one that's

6:13

been in the works for a while. Yeah,

6:17

uh, yeah, I've been really underwhelmed by the

6:19

last two weeks. But yeah, it seems like

6:21

Jericho went all out probably with his celebrity

6:23

connections and bringing that one in. And yeah,

6:25

I completely didn't even realize James Carrotson because

6:27

I watched Tiger King like two weeks ago.

6:30

And so I guess I enjoyed it even

6:32

more. And, um, yeah, I

6:34

don't, uh, I don't use the term, I

6:36

guess, mark out that much. But I would say

6:38

I marked out for Vicki Gureaux just to

6:40

see her there because that was so random, but

6:42

fun. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, and a good little

6:44

spot for her to come in too. I thought

6:46

that was, I thought that was well done.

6:48

So, um, yeah, it was good. And

6:50

overall it was a good, it was a

6:52

good episode. You know, I thought that the stuff

6:54

on here was good. I thought the main

6:56

event was good. I'm glad to see that Lance

6:58

Archer won and beat Cody because that's what

7:01

should have happened. That beat Dustin because that's what

7:03

should have happened. Uh, I was getting

7:05

a little nervous there because you never know. Uh,

7:08

yeah. Lance Archer beating Dustin Rhodes in the main

7:10

event and going to the TNT championship. finals

7:13

was obviously the right call,

7:15

right? Yeah, a

7:17

hundred percent. I was usually I would

7:19

I'm kind of down on longer matches when

7:21

I think you're still establishing a top

7:23

heel. But I think it was pretty effective

7:25

just to have him completely beat up

7:27

Dustin Rhodes for the vast majority. But I

7:30

did get nervous a couple of times

7:32

during like the hope spots that they were

7:34

going to pull a fast one on

7:36

us for some reason. But I'm very glad

7:38

they didn't. And they had, you know,

7:40

they had Booked Dustin as

7:42

as being Kind of near the top of

7:44

the card. I mean, yeah, he's an older

7:46

guy, but what the paint you really can't

7:49

tell And he had you know that that

7:51

classic match with Cody last year a double

7:53

or nothing like he's he's been booked as

7:55

a guy who belongs in their main events

7:57

Or close like top the card on main

7:59

events but top of the card So it

8:01

didn't stand out as a big negative to

8:04

me that he hung in that long with

8:06

Lance Archer Especially where Archer was on the

8:08

offense for most of that match Yeah,

8:11

it would have been it would have

8:13

been different if it was like

8:16

kind of the other way around and

8:18

like Lance Archer like squeaked out

8:20

of victory or something But no it

8:22

was pretty They're still doing a

8:24

pretty good job booking him so far

8:26

Lance Archer Yeah, yeah, I would

8:28

I would agree Let's

8:30

kind of run through this episode. We've got

8:32

a lot of stuff to talk about though.

8:34

We've got the Impact World Title situation. We'll

8:36

talk about that later. MLW assigned

8:38

a pay -per -view deal. We'll talk about that. And

8:41

then we can talk about Vince Russo because I

8:43

had a fun weekend with Vince Russo and you

8:45

just finished that WCW book so we can talk

8:47

a lot about Vince Russo. I love

8:49

it. But let's start with AEW Dynamite

8:51

for this week. We'll run through the show,

8:53

the stuff we haven't talked about yet.

8:56

And the first match on the show, the

8:58

first thing that they opened the show

9:00

with was Cody against Darby Allen in the

9:02

other semifinal match. And Darby Allen beat

9:04

Cody in this one to advance to the

9:06

finals of the TNT title tournament. This

9:08

was another really good match and appropriate given

9:10

that Darby Allen was kind of put

9:13

on the map last year by taking Cody

9:15

to a draw. And here he is

9:17

picking up a win in a title tournament.

9:21

Yeah, I mean it's a huge pretty huge

9:23

year for Darby Allen and I thought this

9:25

was another strong way to start the show

9:27

Yeah, just got things up to a good

9:29

start. I was thinking um I don't know

9:31

just there was like an energy that that

9:33

was there throughout the night That didn't seem

9:35

there last week or maybe I was just

9:37

in a more bored bored mood in general

9:40

last week But it does it seemed like

9:42

a significantly better show to me Yeah, yeah.

9:44

And I thought it was good. I mean,

9:46

even though Darby Allen didn't get the win

9:48

here, he looked good against Cody. Took him

9:50

to a draw over the summer and they

9:52

talked about that a little bit. And then

9:54

Cody, you know, almost suffering

9:56

a while. I mean, Darby Allen

9:58

hits the coffin off

10:00

the top rope. But I think a lot about, mean,

10:02

I thought that that was, I think he does it

10:05

off the second rope, not the top rope. But I

10:07

thought that was the end of the match. And Cody's

10:09

able to just kind of roll him up and get

10:11

the win. The match, the way it was booked, the

10:13

way it was laid out, it wasn't laid out in

10:15

a way where Darby Allen looked weaker than Cody Rhodes.

10:17

I mean, he looked like he was going to win

10:19

the match and Cody kind of got lucky. Yeah.

10:52

10:55

do have to say, though, that there was

10:57

some kind of goofy things going on in

10:59

the match that I wasn't a big fan

11:01

of. Like, have you ever seen a wrestling

11:03

match where a valet tried to bring a

11:06

wrestler water? No,

11:11

not that I can recall. I mean,

11:13

maybe for a heel spot. Yeah.

11:18

But yeah, like, I

11:20

could imagine that like a wrestler who's like, oh,

11:22

I get I get, you know, thirsty. What

11:25

has that ever happened before?

11:27

It's like I heard Wade talking

11:29

about this with Todd on

11:32

the Todd Martin show. It's

11:34

just like it's like God, you

11:36

know, the writers or whoever backstage

11:38

must just think of how they

11:40

can get Brandy on this show.

11:42

Because last week she came in

11:44

and did like a spear for

11:46

no reason at all. Yeah. And

11:48

this week she gets she gets

11:50

her husband throws Derby Ellen into

11:53

her. then she comes back and brings

11:55

some water and then she's back in the main event. Find

11:57

the way to get involved. Yeah.

11:59

And also just like Darby getting

12:01

thrown into her, like Jericho

12:03

was completely right. Like Cody knew

12:05

she was there. He

12:08

showed her a couple of times and

12:10

you could clearly see he like saw her

12:12

and like grabbed Darby and tossed her

12:14

right into her. So. Well, I'm

12:16

calling at the brandy spot. Like what is

12:18

the brandy spot this week? How do

12:20

we get her in? There we go. Yeah,

12:22

it was a that was it was

12:24

like the first time it was like too

12:26

much for me because I've been kind

12:28

of I Don't know. I've been thinking she's

12:30

been okay, but just a little overbearing

12:33

but tonight it was like, okay, this is

12:35

This is a little too much. Yeah after

12:37

that match we had a couple

12:39

of video packages one was Scorpio

12:41

Sky talking about SCU and how

12:44

he got involved with the group

12:46

that that was pretty good and

12:48

then MJF had a video package

12:50

he checked in from his house

12:52

in New York where he said

12:54

his fingernail has been miraculously recovered

12:56

his hangnail is all set and

12:58

he was ready to be coming

13:00

back to AEW but then Something

13:04

happened with his neck he nicked

13:06

his neck I think was the

13:08

term that he used he said

13:10

a normal man would have died,

13:12

but he is a warrior So

13:14

yeah, MJF continuing to have some

13:16

fun obviously wasn't at the tapings

13:19

in Georgia But considering that you

13:21

know I I

13:23

think this has been good use of MJF. If

13:25

he wasn't there and you can't have him in

13:27

the ring, you still want him on the show

13:29

in some way, shape or form, especially because he's a

13:31

guy that you're kind of building around for the

13:33

future as a heel. So getting him on the

13:36

show and having him do this stuff every week has

13:38

been effective. Yeah, definitely

13:40

agree. He's not somebody that you want

13:42

to like who would just disappear for

13:44

weeks at a time. And

13:46

a lot of wrestlers have had to

13:48

do that just because they weren't at the

13:50

tapings, but Yeah, they've invested so much

13:52

into him. He went over Cody Rhodes. He's

13:55

just like somebody that you automatically

13:57

dislike and he's so good at the

13:59

role. They've

14:01

done a pretty good job of

14:03

keeping him involved every week. Wardlow

14:06

gets a big win

14:08

up next. Pretty

14:11

quick, pretty decisive, pretty much what it

14:13

needed to be, right? Yeah,

14:16

I feel like we dismiss these these

14:18

squash matches every week with like yep

14:20

It was exactly what it needed to

14:22

be It's not that we're dismissing them.

14:24

There's just not a ton to talk

14:26

about we're coming out of a squash

14:28

match But that doesn't mean that I

14:30

don't like like it was exactly what

14:32

it needed to be it was it

14:35

just There's nothing wrong with it. It

14:37

was exactly what it needed to be

14:39

Yeah, I mean like the Kenny Omega

14:41

squash last week is is not what

14:43

it needed to be at all that

14:45

was yeah three times longer than it

14:47

needed to be job guy job guy

14:49

kicking out of one of your top

14:51

guys finishes so bizarre yeah but i

14:53

think uh what was the guy's name

14:55

mouse moosey moosa it was moosa moosa

14:58

right yeah he only got in like

15:00

one kick it didn't look like a

15:02

very good kick. But

15:04

yeah, I mean, Wardlow barely had to

15:06

sell me announcers, put him over in a

15:08

big way. And I guess he's a, you

15:10

know, they said he's very handsome. So I

15:12

forget who it was. I don't know if

15:14

it was somebody on the torch staff

15:16

with us or if it was somebody else.

15:18

There was somebody last week. I'm

15:21

drawing a blank. I can't remember who it

15:23

was. Somebody was trying to defend that, that Omega

15:25

match. really yeah and

15:27

telling us that like oh saying it wasn't

15:29

that normally wasn't not that bad but it

15:31

was great and here's why I forget who

15:33

and I just want to be like oh

15:35

boy no I'm sorry the the the job

15:37

guy should not be kicking out of the

15:39

top guys finish like you said it last

15:41

week we wonder why Kenny Omega hasn't really

15:43

taken hold and as a main event guy

15:45

yet at least it doesn't feel like he

15:47

has it's because of stuff like that like

15:49

not everything needs to be a great match

15:52

sometimes if you're wrestling a no -name guy

15:54

and you're Kenny Omega, you got to prove

15:56

that you are better than everybody else and

15:58

just beat them. It doesn't need to be

16:00

a give and take and let this guy

16:02

get his shine in. It's not about that

16:04

guy. Like that match wasn't about that guy.

16:06

That match was about Kenny Omega getting a

16:08

win and that's all it needed to be. Yeah,

16:11

I'd have to hear what the counter argument on

16:13

that is. But to me, it's, it's not. I wish

16:15

I remember who it was. I think, I don't

16:17

think I heard it. I think I read it. I

16:19

think it was somebody on Twitter. I just don't

16:21

remember who it was. But it wasn't like a fan.

16:23

Like it was a prominent. Like I was like

16:25

a wrestling writer. I forget. Okay.

16:29

Cause yeah, I mean to me that

16:31

it's like saying like, Oh, Judy Bigwell

16:33

on a forklift was a good idea. Here's

16:36

why. It's like, no, it's

16:38

so obviously bad. It's

16:40

not quite the same level, but was

16:42

like, I think there was a back.

16:44

I think I remember seeing a back

16:46

and forth between Meltzer and Ryan Satin

16:49

about it. I think that's what I

16:51

was thinking of, but I don't remember

16:53

who was on what side. So I

16:55

don't want to misquote anybody. I'll

16:57

have to look that up. Cause

16:59

yeah, that's I just found it

17:01

on Twitter. It was Meltzer Meltzer

17:03

defended it. Yes. Uh, so Ryan

17:06

sat and said, um, Eagles

17:09

and enhancement talent who was assigned

17:11

to AW kicked out of the V

17:13

trigger. That shouldn't be happening in

17:15

my opinion. And Meltzer's reply was. quote

17:17

you do realize that every single

17:19

job or Harley race fought in every

17:22

territory on TV kicked out of

17:24

multiple suplexes and usually a pile driver

17:26

world champion style and TV squashes

17:28

was based on doing as many different

17:30

finishers in a short let me

17:32

try that again world champion style in

17:35

TV squashes was based on doing

17:37

as many different finishers in a short

17:39

a period of time i don't

17:41

agree with that um I

17:43

mean, and then Ryan's response was, you

17:45

really think that match helped Kenny Omega

17:47

start presence with casual fans or drawing

17:49

power? I realize you've got to stand

17:51

for your favorite wrestler. But to

17:53

me, this hurts him in the long run. If

17:55

he had signed with WWE and done this, I'm

17:58

not sure you would have had the same opinion. Oh,

18:01

100%. Yeah, I think they had a little

18:03

bit of a back and forth from there,

18:05

but I'm great. Harley Race did whatever Harley

18:07

Race did. That's all fine and dandy. a

18:10

jobber who isn't signed to a contract should

18:12

not be kicking out of the finish of one

18:14

of your main event guys. I'm sorry. It

18:16

doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

18:19

Yeah, that's a really bizarre argument. And plus, it

18:21

doesn't, like, well, just because Harley Race did

18:23

it, like, that doesn't mean it was a good

18:26

thing for Harley Race. Like, I would rather

18:28

see Harley Race give somebody a pile driver and

18:30

kick the crap out of them in two

18:32

minutes. And if it was like, if

18:34

it was Darby Allen against Kenny Omega, or

18:36

Darby Allen would be a bad example. If

18:38

it was um

18:41

pick somebody that's on their roster if

18:43

it was michael nakazawa and the idea

18:45

is well yeah they're really they're trying

18:47

to get behind michael nakazawa now for

18:50

whatever reason then okay this is the

18:52

guy that's like a sign of the

18:54

roster but you're even he's not even

18:56

under contract and you got him kicking

18:58

out of one of your main event

19:00

guys finishers it's like huh you know

19:02

let's put it this way in 1994

19:05

three or 1994 was anybody kicking out

19:07

of the razor was Barry Horowitz

19:09

kicking out of the razor's edge or

19:11

diesel's power bomb or the super

19:13

kick like no of course not that

19:15

would have been insane yeah i

19:18

mean even wrestlers with like two finishers

19:20

like The rock. I mean, you

19:22

know, they're not going to take Zach

19:24

Ryder wasn't going to kick out

19:26

of like the people's elbow. No,

19:28

no offense to Heath Slater, but Heath

19:30

Slater wasn't kicking out of the the

19:33

attitude adjustment. Exactly.

19:36

Yeah, it's I don't think it was

19:38

a defendable thing, but in any

19:40

event, this squash match with Lord Low

19:42

was was perfect. Let's

19:45

see. Then they had the bubbly

19:47

bunch video, which we already talked

19:49

about. Chuck

19:51

Taylor and Trent beat Jimmy Habek

19:53

and Kip Sabian in a no DQ

19:55

match, which had some really painful

19:57

looking spots with chairs. Oh,

20:00

yeah, there was a couple of times I

20:02

mean, when you throw a chair, that

20:05

can that can go badly and it'll look

20:07

like a deck to orange Cassidy right in

20:09

the head. I may have it may not

20:11

have, you know, because it was a fast

20:13

move and they cut the camera. But the

20:15

nasty boys soon Scott Hall and WCW or

20:17

something like that, didn't they? Yeah,

20:19

Jerry Sakes was a throne. I

20:22

thought he got hit in the

20:24

back. I I Could be right.

20:26

I thought I thought Scott Hall

20:28

threw the chair Adam, but I

20:30

could be wrong I'll have to

20:32

look that one up too because

20:34

yeah, that kind of like Ended

20:36

his career for like 10 years

20:39

until he came back and yeah,

20:41

yeah But yeah, throw your chairs

20:43

not Several things can go wrong

20:45

with a flying chair Yeah.

20:47

And like the match at the match

20:49

didn't need that kind of stuff with this

20:51

rivalry. And that's the

20:53

thing. I wouldn't even say it's really a

20:55

rivalry yet. Yeah.

20:57

It kind of was just a match that

20:59

was put together that they slapped in no

21:01

DQ stipulation on for some reason. Well,

21:04

yeah. And which is silly because

21:06

next week they're hyping up a street

21:08

fight with like Matt Hardy and

21:10

Jericho. So to take like kind of

21:12

your lowest tag team wrestlers. and

21:15

who have like no real storyline and

21:17

nobody ever none of those wrestlers ever

21:19

really talk and then bring in chairs.

21:21

Well, the other two. Yeah. The lack

21:23

of character development behind all four of

21:25

these guys. Oh, yeah. It's

21:28

virtually nonexistent on the show so far.

21:30

So yeah, that was I mean, it's

21:32

that silly. That's something that TNA would

21:34

do just like in its early days,

21:36

just throw a bunch of weapons in

21:38

there for no reason. TNA. We can

22:17

the match, they went to

22:19

a video package with Britt Baker

22:22

from her dental office who

22:24

was doing her role model. thing,

22:27

which I thought was good. You know, Britt Baker, I

22:29

think is this type of heel. We've seen

22:31

this before, the you're all fat and

22:33

stupid, and I'm beautiful

22:35

and great heel. You know, we've

22:37

seen this done before, but

22:39

I think she plays that role pretty well. And

22:41

we got another cameo. It wasn't just the bubbly

22:43

bunch that had cameos on the show. Rebel

22:45

made a cameo as her makeup artist. Would

22:48

you have ever guessed that that

22:50

of all like the knockouts? In

22:53

the company over the years that

22:55

rebel would be the one with

22:57

like an AEW gig because I'm

22:59

just I could be wrong But

23:01

I'm assuming she is like a

23:03

makeup artist in the company. Maybe

23:05

that maybe not And maybe I'm

23:07

just presumpting being push being presumptuous

23:09

Either way, I would never guess

23:11

that rebel Yeah, she

23:14

was well no offense to her she

23:16

seemed very nice, but she wasn't the greatest

23:18

and ring worker so I

23:20

think that's fair to say

23:22

But I actually I love

23:24

this segment actually I actually

23:26

was better when she came

23:28

back Rebel. Oh, yeah the

23:30

second time. Yeah. Yeah, like

23:32

just athletically. She was better.

23:34

I when she was in

23:36

God the menagerie I thought

23:38

she was the worst in

23:40

the company. Yeah, I'm looking

23:42

on her Wikipedia page. She

23:44

is a licensed cosmetologist Oh,

23:47

so either she lives in... She played

23:49

in the lingerie football league? That

23:53

I did not know. I'm reading that for the first

23:55

time right now. Let's

23:58

see. She

24:00

was on NXT in

24:02

2019. I don't even remember

24:05

that. don't remember either. Yeah,

24:07

it doesn't say anything about her in

24:09

AEW. Interesting. I

24:11

wonder if it's a one -time thing or

24:13

if she's trying to get a gig there. Yeah,

24:17

I don't know. Well, actually, nope, it says

24:19

it right here. August

24:22

2019. This

24:25

was from Ringside News. I'm sure

24:28

it's out there in other places

24:30

as well, but AEW. AEW

24:33

will have a lot of opportunities once they start on

24:35

a weekly basis. They'll need a good

24:37

crew and it looks like Rebel has taken up one

24:39

of those responsibilities, the

24:42

wrestling of different newsletter reports that, uh, Tanae Brooks,

24:44

AKA rebel has worked with a, a, w doing

24:46

hair and makeup for the women's roster. She has

24:48

been hired at least for now to fill this

24:50

role backstage. So yeah, it does. I think she

24:52

is with the company. That's cool

24:54

that she's, you know, on a new

24:56

role in the company on a side note

24:59

wrestling. Um, I,

25:02

I never went to a game. But

25:05

I saw it might still be

25:07

on YouTube. There was like a 20

25:09

minute documentary short like inside the

25:11

lingerie football league. From

25:13

that was like from probably

25:15

2011, 2012. It was like

25:17

from eight or nine years

25:19

ago. Oh, my God. They

25:21

killed each other. Like

25:24

it wasn't just girls playing

25:26

football and lingerie. Like they beat

25:28

the hell out of each

25:30

other because it was basically arena

25:32

football. But they're playing in

25:34

lingerie, so they didn't have any pads

25:36

on. They had like small little

25:38

shoulder pads on and a helmet.

25:40

And that was it. There was no

25:42

thigh pads, there was no, you

25:44

know, flak jacket, like the guys were

25:46

to protect their chest and stuff.

25:48

It was shoulder pads and a helmet,

25:50

and we're playing full contact football.

25:52

And some, they were murdering each other.

25:55

Like it was insane to the point where I

25:57

was watching this going, you're to be a crazy

25:59

person to play Like you're, somebody's going to die. Yeah,

26:03

yeah, I mean everybody's got their thing,

26:05

but I don't see how that could

26:08

be Watching women play football and it

26:10

wasn't like super skimpy clothes It was

26:12

like, you know short shorts and stuff

26:14

like that, but it's like man like

26:16

now they've changed now like I think

26:18

it's just the LFL now they call

26:21

it the ladies football league Yeah, it's

26:23

like what the hell is the why

26:25

why is this a thing like there's

26:27

just getting hurt out there? Yeah,

26:31

there was one I forget I forget

26:33

what the team name was but They

26:35

were interviewing this I wish I remember

26:37

what her name was because she'd be

26:39

a great wrestler You know who she

26:41

looked like she reminded me a lot

26:43

of Jacqueline. Oh That's

26:45

who like she kind of just

26:47

kind of looked like Jack like

26:49

Jackie And they were interviewing her

26:51

it was like before a game

26:54

and whoever was it interviewing her

26:56

she was like I'm gonna

26:58

kill these like just swearing left and right. And

27:00

to the point where like it was like a

27:02

30 second little clip and I was like, dude,

27:04

I'm scared of her and I'm not in the

27:06

building. She looked

27:08

like she was gonna kill somebody. And

27:10

she was, she was built like a

27:12

house. And then they showed some clips

27:14

of her in the game destroying the

27:16

girl that she said she hated that

27:18

she wanted to kill. Like I'm surprised

27:20

her head didn't roll off of her

27:22

shoulders. She hit her so hard. Wow.

27:24

Sign her up. Yeah, yeah, it was

27:26

uh insane so and apparently rebel played in

27:28

that league, which is interesting I didn't

27:31

know it was still a thing. I was

27:33

trying to figure out how I how

27:35

I got on that topic and then I

27:37

remember Oh rebel. Yeah because of Britt

27:39

Baker We do go on tangents on this

27:41

show. I wasn't sure how we got

27:43

on the the lingerie football league tangent, but

27:45

yeah rebel that's how I I'm really

27:47

digging right now. And I got a good

27:49

laugh out of when she was eating

27:51

a chicken sandwich for no reason a couple

27:53

weeks ago. She had,

27:55

she had go to Cody with the shoe for no

27:58

reason. Um, yeah, she's,

28:00

she's cracking me up and just heard nonstop

28:02

digs at Tony Shavani and how he's like,

28:04

well, we're still friends. I'm gonna have to

28:06

kill her. And then they come back with

28:08

this video that I and Tony Gerskos, my

28:10

teeth don't look like that. Like that was

28:12

his, it wasn't, my stomach's not that big

28:14

because like the big stretched out photoshop belly

28:16

is immediately like, my teeth don't look like

28:18

that. I think that may have been a

28:20

gimmick. But we're still

28:22

friends. I'm gonna have to talk to

28:24

her. Yeah, that's, uh, I

28:26

don't know. It gets me. Yeah, he said

28:28

he's not a snaggle tooth. That was the term.

28:30

He's like, I'm not a snaggle tooth. Oh,

28:36

Sean Spears was next.

28:38

He beat Baron Black

28:40

again. What should

28:42

have been. They

28:44

seem to be kind of rebuilding Sean Spears a

28:46

little bit, I feel like. Yeah,

28:48

it does. I don't know about you. Like tonight,

28:50

though, I was just like, I just feel this is

28:52

a lost cause. He's,

28:55

uh, he's not terrible, but I just,

28:57

I don't think he's a very dynamic. I

28:59

don't really buy him. And I'm just

29:01

like thinking of people that could potentially sadly

29:03

take his spot in the near future,

29:05

like a Rusev type. Yeah. I think they

29:07

hurt him by not kind of investing

29:09

enough in him early on. Yeah. He had

29:11

that. He came in with a lot

29:14

of hype. He had that big match with

29:16

Cody. They made it look like they

29:18

were going to make him a big mean

29:20

heel. And then like he lost his first

29:22

four matches and nobody took him seriously. Yeah.

29:24

He was like doing goofy comedy stuff.

29:26

Yeah. They didn't go into the stuff with

29:28

Janeller after that. He's kind of been

29:30

a guy that's been banished to dark ever

29:32

since. Yeah. I'm

29:34

not I don't strongly dislike him or

29:36

anything, but I just I don't think he's

29:38

ever going to be. I

29:41

don't think he's ever gonna get over it in

29:43

effective level, but maybe maybe that's just me. Are

29:45

you are you higher on him? No, I agree

29:47

with you I feel like he's kind of in

29:49

that mid -card spot now, and it would be

29:52

hard to get him out And without some serious

29:54

rehabilitation and maybe that's what this is, you know

29:56

Maybe that what they're trying to do here is

29:58

rehabilitate him a little bit, but I think it's

30:00

gonna take a while Yeah, I think he's just

30:02

somebody that he there's just something missing from his

30:04

act and I think Tully Yeah,

30:06

I thought it could have been intriguing like

30:09

you were saying like when he first

30:11

came in but I don't know if he

30:13

needs a valet I can't remember which

30:15

one of the eye. He's one of the

30:17

iconics. He's married to I Think so.

30:19

I don't know. Okay. Yes. I know

30:22

if he needs a valet or something but

30:24

some something for me is just not not

30:26

clicking yet Brody Lee beat Marco stunt again

30:28

very quickly, which is exactly what it needed

30:30

to be They were teasing this for a

30:32

while and Brody Lee was kind of staring

30:34

at Marco stunt every single time he came

30:37

to the ring. So him and stunt ending

30:39

up in the ring at some point makes

30:41

a lot of sense. And Brody Lee beating

30:43

the ever living hell out of him and

30:45

getting a very quick win also made a

30:47

lot of sense. Daily

31:57

I actually really liked this squash match

31:59

because it made Marco Stunt look good

32:01

in the promo before the match, just

32:03

like saying, you know, how he wasn't

32:05

afraid and how he can take a

32:07

lot of punishment. And then

32:09

he did get the crap kicked out of

32:11

him. He didn't come up with all

32:13

these like crazy hope spots and it almost

32:15

looked like Brodie Lee was going to

32:17

get pinned. Like it was never really a

32:19

doubt. And then plus like Brodie Lee

32:21

won with like a power bomb and he

32:23

hasn't used that yet for a finisher.

32:25

So I just, I just, you know, like

32:27

that. They give it's I enjoy this

32:29

company that you don't know how matches are

32:31

going to end as much like even

32:33

in the first match like the coffin drop

32:35

was a roll up and even if

32:37

it didn't look great like it's a new

32:39

finish. So I

32:41

really like that they're doing that and kind of

32:43

moving away from like it has to be

32:45

a finishing move like. You know, WWE and impact

32:47

of that over the years. Yeah, exactly. Then

32:50

they did a video package with John Moxley. He

32:52

talked about a lot of different things while he's

32:54

been stuck in the house and he feels bad

32:56

for his wife because no one should have to

32:58

be stuck in the house with him. He

33:01

also said he's thankful that AEW is

33:03

going to be live next week. So that's

33:05

something I don't think we knew before

33:07

him. I knew they'd take multiple weeks in

33:09

a row, but Moxley said in

33:11

this package that AEW is going to

33:13

be, he's excited that AEW is going

33:15

to be live next week and he

33:17

said he will throw his dogs and

33:19

a couple of Metallica CDs in his

33:21

truck and drive east and sounds like

33:23

John Moxley is going to be there

33:25

but the interesting thing, my biggest takeaway

33:27

from this is he needs Metallica CDs

33:29

Like, my dude doesn't have music on

33:31

his phone. Like, get Apple Music, man.

33:33

Or if you got Android, get, what

33:35

is it? Google Music, whatever. Like, come

33:37

on, man. You gotta get away. I

33:39

mean CDs. What is this, 1999? Sadly,

33:43

I have a CD player. I

33:46

lost all my CDs.

33:49

I don't know where they are. I had a

33:51

whole book of them. And when I moved

33:53

out of my parents' house, somehow it got lost.

33:55

So I've been on the MP3 train for

33:57

12 years because that's been my only, I didn't

33:59

want to go rebuy all my CDs. That's

34:01

smart. I've had some I just I don't

34:04

know why my cars have had weird issues

34:06

like playing like I can hook up my

34:08

iPhone to it, but it just it doesn't

34:10

come through clearly. So I just have to

34:12

rely on old CDs have had from high

34:14

school. You know, I wish I

34:16

still had the CDs I had in high

34:18

school because there's so many that I'm sure I

34:20

forgot. And like.

34:22

When we were in high school, the big

34:24

thing was you could burn CDs. So, like,

34:26

I had so many burned CDs that just

34:29

had a random collection of songs on them,

34:31

like, random MP3s that I would have downloaded,

34:33

like, of a Napster that I made CDs

34:35

out of, and I know if I listened

34:37

to those now, if I ever found that

34:39

CD book, I would listen to them now

34:41

and be like, I completely forgot about this

34:43

song, because I've done that. Like, I've come

34:46

across songs where I'm like, oh, my God,

34:48

I remember I had this on a CD. But

34:52

unfortunately, I don't have that that chance now unless

34:54

I can find my book. I don't know where it

34:56

is. It's got to be my parents out somewhere.

34:58

My mother claims it's not there, but she's probably hiding

35:00

it. She's probably. Yeah, she,

35:02

you know, she's probably in her in

35:04

a room at night listening to

35:06

old Blink 182 songs. Oh,

35:08

nice. Those

35:11

were the days you had to get

35:13

a CD burner separate and. Man,

35:15

I don't know at one point

35:17

I ended up with like a

35:19

Dell desktop that had one right in

35:21

the seat the CD -ROM drive doubled

35:24

as a as a burner Oh,

35:26

it was the best. Oh, man.

35:28

It was oh, yeah, that was

35:30

like how did I live before this

35:32

and Now for 14 bucks. I

35:34

have the entire iTunes library at

35:36

my fingertips Yeah, but you know

35:39

what it makes it so much

35:41

harder to find new music like

35:43

that's what I found Apple

35:45

music is awesome, but it makes it

35:47

so much harder to like to discover

35:49

new stuff because all I do is

35:51

listen to the stuff I already knew

35:54

Like I don't listen to the radio

35:56

anymore, so there's no like finding a

35:58

new band or anything like that because

36:00

I'm never listening to the radio I'm

36:02

only listening to stuff that I already

36:04

know I'm the same way like I'm

36:06

continually finding new like I watch new

36:09

movies new shows new video games, but

36:11

when it's music, it's like, I listened

36:13

to like the same thousand songs since

36:15

high school. Exactly. From

36:17

a music standpoint, I am stuck in

36:19

2002 to 2006. Like that's as new

36:21

as it gets. Yeah.

36:24

Yeah. And I'm not one

36:26

of those people who was like, man, music was

36:28

better in my day. No, I'm just like, it's

36:30

too much work. In the other

36:32

thing too, like I don't know what

36:34

type of music you, I was into

36:36

rock music and there's no rock stations

36:38

anymore. Like that's at least around where

36:40

I live in Boston, they're all gone.

36:42

There was one left in it and

36:44

it turned into a Christian station, I

36:46

think, in like the middle of February.

36:49

WAAF, like that was the last one. It

36:51

was, and when I was in high school,

36:54

there was four. There was

36:56

WBCN, which was a big one. There

36:58

was WFNX, which wasn't as big, and

37:00

all those three. So there was FNX,

37:02

there was WBCN, and there was WAAF.

37:05

And now they're all gone. FNX

37:09

is now a country station.

37:12

BCN is now a sports talk

37:14

station. And AAF just got

37:16

sold to a Christian station. So

37:19

they're all gone. It

37:21

looks like, OK, we still have

37:23

93X here. That's a I think a

37:25

rock thing. I never I never

37:28

listen to the radio either. There's also

37:30

like no like there's there's not

37:32

enough rock bands anymore either. But

37:34

I remember when I was in high

37:36

school, I used to drive for my dad's

37:39

has a furniture company and I would

37:41

drive like the van making deliveries and stuff

37:43

when I was in high school and

37:45

college. And I would, you'd find

37:47

out so much, like I would find so many

37:49

new bands and so many new music just

37:51

from listening to the radio driving around in the

37:53

summer. And like that just

37:56

doesn't exist anymore. It's weird. No.

37:59

Yeah. If I'm in my

38:01

cards, old CDs or nothing,

38:03

I can, I don't know.

38:07

The radio is just, it just isn't

38:09

something I even think of now. But

38:11

yeah, when I was growing up all

38:13

the time. Yeah. Yeah,

38:15

these kids nowadays, they don't

38:17

know anything about the radio. They

38:19

got a bunch of a

38:21

bunch of punks out there. Yeah,

38:23

exactly. My kids listen

38:25

to stuff. I'm like, what is this? They

38:28

listen to things I don't even know.

38:30

The only restriction they have in their

38:32

phone, because we have a family thing

38:34

for the Apple music, but there's restrictions

38:36

on them that they can't listen to

38:38

anything with explicit lyrics because they're 10

38:40

and 7. But

38:43

some of the stuff they listen to, I'm like, where did

38:45

you find this? Oh, this, I saw this guy on YouTube. His

38:48

name is, uh, they're just coming

38:50

up with these names and I'm like, huh,

38:52

that's not somebody's name. Oh no, dad, it's his

38:55

name and it's, uh, you know, some YouTube

38:57

guy they found who also raps and I'm like,

38:59

what are you listening to? Where

39:01

is this coming from? And it's, yeah, that's, that's

39:03

kids find everything over on YouTube now. That's

39:05

the other thing I found out. YouTube is where

39:07

they learn everything. And I was

39:10

playing, I guess semi -related, but

39:12

I was playing Fortnite with my

39:14

nephew, like a mother two ago.

39:16

And he's, I mean, he's like 12. So

39:18

I gave him my name at Christmas, my PlayStation

39:21

name. And we were playing and then he was, there

39:23

was like another kid on there. So I'm like,

39:25

this is weird. I don't want to do this. And

39:27

he was like, he was like, oh, I met

39:29

him on YouTube. He's a streamer. So I'm like, why

39:31

am, like, am I being streamed right now? So

39:35

I was like, I can't

39:37

do this. Sorry, guys. Yeah,

39:40

my son plays Fortnite with

39:42

three of the same kids every

39:44

single day. Well,

39:46

two of the same kids sometimes.

39:48

And then sometimes there's a third.

39:50

Sometimes my youngest son will get

39:52

involved, but he'll have to play

39:54

from the Nintendo Switch because they

39:56

don't want to be on split

39:58

screen because that, as I've

40:00

been told, just is not OK. You

40:03

could play it on split screen, but that's

40:06

just not okay. They need to have their

40:08

own dedicated screens. So. Man,

40:10

do you remember, like, GoldenEye was

40:12

the most amazing thing and that

40:14

was sharing four tiny rectangles on

40:16

a 24 inch screen? If you

40:18

told me when I was their

40:20

age that, hey, one day you're

40:22

going to be able to play

40:24

video games against your friends who

40:27

live in different houses over this

40:29

thing called the Internet. Would have

40:31

laughed and been like what is

40:33

the Jetsons? Yeah, it's never gonna

40:35

happen. Oh My gosh,

40:37

yeah, yeah, but cuz TVs then we're

40:39

not that big like yeah, they

40:41

were like 20 so 24 inches divided

40:43

by four or something you have

40:45

like a six in three I Tell

40:47

him now like I told bull

40:49

by kids I'm like dude when I

40:51

was a kid like you couldn't

40:54

play these games with other

40:56

people, if they weren't with you,

40:58

you know, holding the other controller. And

41:01

my oldest is like, my 10 year old is

41:03

like, what do you mean? Just play online. Like

41:05

no, no, no, online wasn't a thing. Like to

41:07

go online, you needed a phone line. We

41:10

don't even, and now we don't even have a landline in my

41:12

house. We don't have a phone line. So he's

41:14

like, what do you mean? Like you called the

41:16

internet company and said, put me on the internet.

41:18

I go, no, no, no, no, it used the phone

41:20

line. Like, if you were on the internet, you

41:22

couldn't make a phone call at the same time.

41:24

Or if you were on the internet and your mom

41:26

picked up the phone, it would knock you off

41:28

of AOL. And he

41:30

couldn't wrap his head around it. He's like,

41:32

so how did you play video games

41:34

with your friends? Or they would have to

41:36

physically come over and pick up the

41:39

other controller. He's like, he

41:41

could not, it didn't compute. He goes, that

41:43

doesn't make any sense. Like, if

41:45

he was at his house on his game, you couldn't just play with

41:47

him. I go, no, no, that didn't

41:49

exist. It's

41:51

so weird that how like

41:53

fast technology moves. Yeah. Yeah, they

41:55

don't even wrap they can't

41:57

even comprehend Not being able to

41:59

just in a couple of

42:01

button clicks play with your buddy

42:03

who lives, you know three

42:05

towns over You

43:09

Yeah, it's a weird thing because like

43:11

if you were born in like

43:13

at any point in history before the

43:15

past 120 years like you would

43:18

have like everything in common you know

43:20

like with your ancestors like you

43:22

know like there might be a new

43:24

rake or something. That

43:26

makes life a little easier, but

43:28

like there wouldn't just be this

43:30

technology explosion of 10 years in

43:32

the future that would just be

43:34

like incomprehensible And sometimes too like

43:37

I think that you and I

43:39

didn't really see much of that

43:41

because I'll look at like you

43:43

watch them watch a raw or

43:45

a nitro from 1998 or from

43:47

2000 It doesn't look that much

43:49

different Was 20 years ago,

43:51

but it doesn't look that much different

43:53

Whereas like if you in 2000

43:55

if you watched a wrestling show from

43:57

1980 it looks like a different

43:59

world So sometimes I'll look at that

44:01

and be like well you look

44:03

at a show from 2000 and you

44:05

look at a show today It

44:07

doesn't look that much different like that

44:09

technology hasn't evolved as crazy probably

44:11

for us like in this 20 year

44:13

period, but it still has evolved

44:15

a lot because in 2000 the Twitter

44:18

like social media didn't exist What

44:20

you and I are literally doing right

44:22

now didn't exist. There

44:24

was so many things that did

44:26

not exist in 2000. Yeah, the

44:28

television show may look somewhat similar,

44:30

but there was no HD then. Maybe

44:34

there hasn't been as much of a

44:36

change, but when you stop and think about

44:38

it, there still has been a lot

44:40

that has changed between 2000 and now. Oh

44:44

yeah, it's been insane. I

44:47

mean... Like I said, a lot of

44:49

people really had dial -up internet in

44:52

2000. Maybe, like, you may have a

44:54

DSL. Oh, we didn't. Yeah.

44:56

In high school, I think, but when I

44:58

graduated and left for college, I think

45:00

we were still on 56k. Yeah,

45:02

I was on dial -up. My first

45:04

non -dial -up connection was when I

45:06

moved into my college dorm. Yeah,

45:09

I had to go to

45:11

the library to get... still

45:13

have 56k in like my first

45:15

two years of college, I think Yeah,

45:17

our dorms had I Don't know

45:19

what it was. I don't know what

45:21

the speed was But it was

45:23

like the first time where like oh

45:25

you've got a jacket is plugged

45:28

right into this jack in the wall

45:30

and not have to like use

45:32

my phone line Because at home it

45:34

was still we were using AOL

45:36

on the phone It's it's hard even

45:38

like remember that fully it's like

45:40

but it It happened. It wasn't that

45:42

long ago. Yeah. I mean, even

45:44

laptops weren't really much of a thing.

45:46

I got a laptop my first

45:48

year of college, which I still have.

45:51

It doesn't doesn't boot up. It's an

45:53

old Sony vial. It doesn't even

45:55

boot up anymore. But that

45:57

laptop. It's

45:59

in my garage

46:02

is enormous. It's

46:04

not only is it like big, like it's

46:06

from a screen standpoint, but like

46:09

it's So thick it's stupid

46:11

thick. It's probably the same. I

46:13

have a MacBook now and

46:15

it's probably the thickness of like

46:18

two MacBooks put together, maybe two and

46:20

a half. So it's

46:22

stupid how thick it is. And

46:25

I've got a MacBook, my work computer

46:27

is a MacBook, that's just what they give

46:29

us. So it's pretty easy to lug around,

46:31

even though it's one of the bigger ones.

46:33

But I look at this laptop that I

46:35

had in 2002, and I'm like,

46:37

this isn't even a laptop. This is just basically a

46:39

desktop that I was carrying around in a bag. Oh

46:42

yeah, I have a Surface Book, so it's

46:45

like a tablet and then it's really fancy. So

46:47

I like accidentally knock it over all

46:49

the time and just shut it off

46:52

like kids. Yeah. Yeah.

46:54

My excuse me. For

46:56

Christmas, the

46:58

grandparents got our kids Chromebooks mainly

47:00

for school. Oh, yeah.

47:02

Even those are they're so simple and

47:04

put together that I was like if

47:06

I had something this simple when I

47:09

was in high school or college would

47:11

be great. And I'm like. kids in

47:13

fourth grade and he you know is

47:15

using one the type of his homework

47:17

and stuff like that but it's like

47:19

that those are the advances i think

47:21

that technologically we had the same stuff

47:23

when we were a kid it just

47:25

it wasn't nearly as good as it

47:27

is now like we had video games

47:29

when we were 12 they just they

47:31

weren't anything like today's video games no

47:33

i mean i got uh the nintendo

47:35

with mario when i think i was

47:37

like five for christmas and over the

47:39

course of 30 years like go from

47:41

that to Grand Theft Auto

47:43

5 or Red Dead Redemption

47:45

2, it's just insane how

47:47

the medium has exploded thousands

47:49

of times over and how

47:51

complex it is. Yeah. I

47:54

remember when I upgraded, when we

47:56

went from the original, I went straight

47:58

from an original Nintendo to the

48:00

first PlayStation. Nice. And

48:03

even the first game I got for

48:05

the first, my very first game that I

48:07

got for the original PlayStation, the same

48:09

Christmas, was that WWF

48:12

WrestleMania arcade game. It's

48:15

pretty fun. Yokozuna was

48:17

unbeatable in that game. It

48:21

was like the cartoonish one where like

48:23

Undertaker would hit people with a tombstone. Yes.

48:26

Yokozuna had like a big bucket of sand

48:28

that he would hit people with. Yokozuna

48:31

was unbeatable in that game. Okay.

48:35

Let's get back to way

48:37

on top. The point

48:39

is Yokozuna was unbeatable again

48:41

in your house. Ninety

48:43

six because John Moxley mentioned

48:45

CDs. Well,

48:48

after that, then we went to the main event. Actually,

48:50

Lance Archer against us and Rose, which we kind

48:52

of already talked about, about how much we liked it.

48:54

And it was good. And Lance Archer one, which

48:56

is what should have happened. Yes,

48:59

it is. Yeah.

49:02

Good stuff. Um,

49:04

not amazing, but, uh, I

49:06

guess Tess and Roger will not retire from it. That

49:09

was the other thing. He was going to retire last week if

49:11

he lost, but not tonight. He's

49:13

like, I'll retire if I can beat this.

49:15

I can't beat the guy who's half my size,

49:17

but I'm not going to retire if the

49:19

guy who's actually big, I'm not going to, I'm

49:21

not going to do that. That's just silly.

49:23

Yeah. I don't get that. I don't get why

49:25

he would have retired last week and not

49:27

tonight, but whatever. Yeah. Filled up

49:29

TV. I did. All

49:32

right, let's go to emails and then we'll talk

49:34

about the T &A situation I can say that usually

49:36

I mess up and call it T &A but we

49:38

can actually call it T tonight Yeah, if you don't

49:40

know why you'll find out in a minute. a

49:42

tease. That's a big market tease right

49:44

there stick around If you want to know

49:47

why you can call it T &A But

49:49

our email we only have one email

49:51

in the inbox emailers by the way Andrew

49:53

we should we should take people to

49:55

task. They've been slacking the last couple of

49:57

weeks a lot of slack around here I

50:00

think we had like two last

50:02

week one this week Like look, I

50:04

know the whole world is shut

50:06

down. Nobody knows what I think part

50:08

of the problem is nobody knows

50:10

what day it is So they don't

50:12

know when they went emails, but

50:14

guys like we have our regular emailers

50:16

gone This is this is a

50:18

call to arms right now Get out

50:21

your soul Get out your I

50:23

Don't know and we've if we've proven

50:25

anything on this show. It doesn't

50:27

even have to be about wrestling It's

50:30

true. We've changed a lot

50:32

of lives here with our, uh,

50:35

advice. Just wear the tagline

50:37

to the show. Changed a lot

50:39

of lives here. Changed a lot lives. Uh,

50:42

Wade, whoever does the graphics for your

50:44

show could change in lives on ours. Making

50:49

you a better person. I'm

50:52

sure he's, sure he'd be fine with

50:54

that. Um, yeah.

50:58

We'll talk about anything. I don't

51:00

I mean obviously we just

51:02

talked about how old we are

51:05

The world changes cereal. I

51:07

don't care. Yep. I shaved

51:09

my beard this week So they're

51:11

like completely gone. Yeah You're

51:14

rocking the bald head. It was

51:16

the first time first time

51:18

I've gone bald head no beard

51:20

It's not good. Are you

51:22

gonna grow back and go back

51:24

facial hair growing it back

51:26

right away I

51:29

may I miss trimmed

51:31

so I was like you

51:33

know what instead of

51:35

trying to make this work

51:37

I'm just gonna take

51:39

it all off see what

51:41

it looks like I

51:43

Look like a beluga wheel

51:45

That that's a tough

51:47

look to pull off. I

51:49

mean what there's Moby

51:51

Yeah Yeah, I I definitely

51:53

think that if you Now

51:56

where I go when I go shaved

51:59

head you get you need facial hair Yeah,

52:01

cuz it's not pretty I got done

52:03

with it. I was like oh my god.

52:05

I look like something's wrong with me

52:07

I went out into the kitchen my wife

52:09

didn't know that I did it I

52:11

went out into the kitchen she just lost

52:13

it just dying laughing like in tears

52:15

and I go this is great I got

52:18

this is this is exactly how I

52:20

picture this was going to go She's like

52:22

the only hair on your head are

52:24

your eyebrows Wow,

52:27

I'm like, yeah, I know

52:29

this doesn't look good. It's not

52:31

a good look I love

52:33

your life. Just having a good

52:35

chuckle over it. That's tears

52:37

streaming down her face Wow, and

52:40

I couldn't disagree with her.

52:42

I'm like, yeah, I know I

52:44

look completely ridiculous Yeah, you

52:46

need to have I think the

52:48

only way you can get

52:50

away with shaved head and no

52:53

beard is if you Are

52:55

like insanely in shape and

52:57

have like a really like chiseled

52:59

face That sounds yeah, cuz

53:01

I can picture the guy who

53:03

played Jason in the most

53:06

recent Friday the 13th Yeah, I

53:08

met I met him at

53:10

a horror convention and he was

53:12

bald and bald and He

53:14

made it work. I but I

53:16

I can't think of any

53:18

wrestlers in my there's got to

53:20

be somebody but I Don't

53:22

know Because like Goldberg

53:24

awesome have the yeah, they

53:26

have the goatee going on

53:29

I think like my face

53:31

is oh too round. Oh

53:33

Kern angle. Yeah. Yeah, but

53:35

again like Olympic athlete in

53:37

crazy good shape His face

53:39

has definition to it. My

53:41

face looks like it's a

53:43

pie It's just round and

53:46

white It's

53:48

like, I even look at myself

53:50

in the mirror and I'm like,

53:52

something's wrong. Clearly, the human

53:54

being shouldn't look like this. I don't know

53:56

what the problem is. And

53:59

it's just the beard. Like, I

54:01

didn't have a beard for years, but I had hair in

54:03

my head. See, that's the difference. When

54:06

you shave your head and you kind of have

54:08

a round head and a round face and you don't

54:10

have any facial hair to make your face look

54:12

longer, you look like a

54:14

beluga wheel. So

54:16

I like to play it. So,

54:18

did you say a foot? No,

54:20

a beluga whale. Oh, I thought you said

54:22

a beluga whale or a foot. No, not a foot.

54:24

I said it's the only way I could put it. Oh,

54:27

OK. You just see like this blob of

54:29

skin with two eyes. That's it. Oh.

54:33

It's not a good one. Yeah, I

54:36

have hair. And then I just do

54:38

scruff because I I think it's, you

54:40

know, it's super easy. You don't have

54:42

to shave every day. Oh, yeah. Scrub

54:44

on my face. But yeah, even when

54:47

I shaved that off a couple of

54:49

days into the pandemic, I just don't

54:51

know for the heck of it. I

54:53

thought I looked weird. So I can

54:55

imagine going all out would be. That's

54:59

part of the reason why when I messed it up

55:01

and I was like, oh, well, I screwed this up.

55:03

I'm just going to shave it off and see what

55:05

it looks like. Part of the reason

55:07

was. I'm not going anywhere

55:09

like no one's gonna see me. So if

55:11

it looks awful, you know in two

55:13

weeks It'll be grown back enough that I'll

55:15

look normal again, and I'm not going

55:17

out of my house between now and then

55:20

anyways, it'll be fine. Yeah

55:22

Yeah part of

55:24

the reason but

55:26

Longing for some

55:28

nostalgia or maybe

55:30

you want to

55:32

learn some wrestling

55:35

history Don't miss

55:37

the 90s pass cast every Friday on

55:39

the PW Torch Daily Cast Feed. Alex

55:41

and Patrick will transport you 30

55:43

years into the past by taking you

55:46

through the torch issue from that

55:48

very week. Follow news from the WWF

55:50

and WCW and all the happenings

55:52

from across the wrestling industry in real

55:54

time as the torch reported it

55:56

30 years ago. That's the

55:58

90s pass cast every Friday on the

56:00

PW Torch Daily Cast Feed. My

56:12

and yeah, I've become lazy at

56:14

that. I mean I have like Skype

56:16

calls or not Skype zoom calls

56:18

every day But you know, it's just

56:20

like I get out the shower.

56:22

I'm like that's fine You're head is

56:24

like I don't have to worry

56:26

about like all the everyone's going I

56:28

can't get a haircut. I'm like,

56:30

dude I get a haircut like every

56:33

couple days Just go to the

56:35

bathroom lather it up and shave it

56:37

off good to go fresh and

56:39

clean my hair Yeah, my hair

56:41

definitely looks dumb right now. So I think a

56:43

lot of people are in that boat. I

56:45

get my kids a haircut a couple of weeks

56:47

ago. That was an adventure. Oh,

56:49

that was another one. Not do

56:51

that again. Just

56:53

get a bowl. No, that's what I

56:55

should have done. That would have looked

56:57

better. One

56:59

of them has kind of curly hair, so

57:02

he was OK. He wears it like all messy

57:04

and. Yeah. So that was fine. I

57:06

just kind of cleaned up the sides. My other son

57:08

has like really straight hair and he likes his style and

57:10

he's like, dad, it looks weird. Yeah, I was like,

57:12

dad doesn't know what he was doing. That's

57:16

because you shouldn't let dad nail your head with the clippers, kid.

57:19

Yeah, no doubt. I learned a life

57:21

lesson. Just

57:23

taught you a lesson. All right, let's

57:25

get to our email. Nathan

57:27

in Milwaukee, Wisconsin says, I hope both

57:29

you and your families are doing well. My

57:32

apologies if this question was already asked.

57:34

I have missed the last few weeks

57:36

of the show But do you think

57:38

impact is going to have a growth

57:40

spurt in fans due to other promotions

57:42

within their tier not running shows from

57:44

what I've read Ring of Honor MLW

57:46

and NWA have Not stated that they

57:48

will be taping any new content anytime

57:50

soon Also, I found it odd that

57:52

ROH is going to be airing on

57:54

a fight network in the UK Since

57:56

their parent company owns impact have a

57:59

great rest of your week Yeah,

58:01

that's an interesting question. I

58:03

mean, I don't know that they

58:05

will have added fan base

58:07

because the people that generally watch

58:09

those shows may just watch,

58:11

you know, AEW instead maybe or

58:13

even WWE instead, but I

58:15

guess it's possible, right? Yeah,

58:18

I mean, I guess for their

58:20

tier, they could potentially pick up

58:22

a few hundred fans, maybe a

58:24

couple thousand tuning in just to

58:26

see what's going on because it

58:28

The thing is, is like, raw

58:30

is just tanking in the ratings

58:32

and getting new record blows every

58:34

week. I mean, AEW 200s, a

58:36

couple hundred thousand people have quit

58:38

watching. So

58:40

it would, I don't know. I mean,

58:42

the people that aren't getting enough

58:44

wrestling already, I don't

58:47

know. I think it's just easier to get your wrestling

58:49

fill right now because it's just not quite as exciting

58:51

as it used to be. But

58:54

I mean, their

58:57

Twitch numbers are like in

58:59

the low 2000s. So

59:01

I guess it could go up,

59:03

but I don't know. I just, I

59:05

just feel right now wrestling just

59:07

isn't doing as well as I actually

59:09

thought it was going to. I

59:11

thought it would actually ratings would actually

59:13

go up because there's just so

59:15

few first run material out there. But

59:17

no, people are just not into

59:19

it at the moment. Yep. No, I

59:21

think so too. I think you've

59:23

seen news programming as. Gone through the

59:25

roof with everything going on. That's

59:27

not a big surprise, but I

59:30

think people are more worried about that stuff. I

59:32

mean, who knows? I mean, who knows the reason

59:34

why? But across the board, whether it's AEW or

59:36

WWE ratings are down everywhere. And

59:38

it's a little surprising that ROH

59:40

is airing on the fight network in

59:42

the UK, but they're airing. I

59:45

mean, even though it's owned by Anthem,

59:47

they also air some other promotions

59:49

as well. I know championship wrestling from

59:51

Hollywood airs on fight network. And

59:53

I think smash wrestling does too.

59:55

So it's not just impact. They've always

59:57

kind of had other promotions on.

59:59

the network, but, um, and it's also

1:00:01

only in the UK. It's not

1:00:03

domestically in the US. So it's

1:00:05

not a huge surprise. Uh, I think

1:00:07

from a UK standpoint, I don't live there.

1:00:09

We probably have some listeners that do

1:00:11

those. Maybe they can tell us if anything

1:00:13

else would make more sense, but from

1:00:15

a networking standpoint, it might make the most

1:00:17

sense for our wage to be on

1:00:19

the fight network in the UK. Yeah.

1:00:22

I agree. Yeah. Uh,

1:00:25

And just I hope the train isn't

1:00:27

coming through. I hear a little bit. OK,

1:00:30

good. Super loud in my

1:00:32

apartment. Well, I think like maybe

1:00:34

the reason it's not doing so

1:00:36

well is because like it no

1:00:38

longer feels for some people might

1:00:40

just not feel like an escape

1:00:42

because like it's not like everything

1:00:44

is normal in wrestling world. It's

1:00:46

empty arena matches. Yeah. Nonstop.

1:00:50

And AEW, I think, is doing a better

1:00:52

job of it. But overall, it can

1:00:54

be. It's just not as exciting overall. So

1:00:56

I think that is part of it.

1:00:58

Yeah, there's less of an atmosphere for sure.

1:01:01

Yeah, less of an atmosphere. And since

1:01:03

it's so like different and weird, it's like

1:01:05

you're not really escaping anything. Whereas if

1:01:07

you like watching a movie or something, you

1:01:09

can theoretically, you know, teleport to a

1:01:11

different world in your mind for a bit.

1:01:13

Exactly. Yep. Exactly. OK, well, that

1:01:15

was the only email for this week. Let's talk about

1:01:17

impact. We weren't sure how they

1:01:20

were going to address their world title situation. Tessa

1:01:22

Blanchard wasn't at the latest set of tapings, which

1:01:24

I think went 12 weeks, brings him in in

1:01:26

July. So we weren't sure how

1:01:28

they were to address this. What are they going to

1:01:30

do? And the

1:01:32

answer is they're bringing

1:01:34

back the TNA World

1:01:36

Championship. Probably because it was in

1:01:38

a warehouse and somebody could pick up

1:01:40

the belt on their tapings. But

1:01:43

Moose is now

1:01:45

the TNA World

1:01:47

Champion. Tesla Blanchard

1:01:49

is the impact world champion. I would

1:01:51

assume that they'll have a unification match

1:01:53

at some point, but Yeah, I Thought

1:01:55

it was a joke like I thought

1:01:58

it was moose being funny But it

1:02:00

seems like this is the direction they're

1:02:02

going like oh if we have the

1:02:04

impact world champion We'll bring back the

1:02:06

TNA belt and then we'll do a

1:02:08

ladder me I'm gonna guess they're gonna

1:02:10

play this out similar to the Shawn

1:02:12

Michaels razor Ramon intercontinental title issue from

1:02:15

94 when he got suspended and wasn't

1:02:17

there and took the belt and went

1:02:19

home and then they made razor the

1:02:21

champion and then they had the ladder

1:02:23

match at WrestleMania 10 like I think

1:02:25

this is that's what this is gonna

1:02:27

it's basically the same story that's my

1:02:29

guess but at first I was like

1:02:32

oh this is kind of ha ha

1:02:34

funny and then it was like well

1:02:36

no wait a minute it seems like

1:02:38

they're actually just going to go with

1:02:40

this because they don't have any other

1:02:42

choice Yeah,

1:02:48

it's tough to like give them a

1:02:50

lot of crap for this because if

1:02:52

Tesla doesn't show up, like how do

1:02:54

you have three months without your title?

1:02:56

Well, yeah, I'm not I don't say

1:02:58

that it's a I don't think it's a

1:03:00

big issue. Like because I don't know

1:03:02

what they have for options. I

1:03:05

mean, I guess either that or you

1:03:07

just really elevate that X division title in

1:03:09

the meantime. They

1:03:11

could do that. Yeah, for sure. This

1:03:14

option is like didn't

1:03:16

The TNA world title

1:03:18

was just renamed the

1:03:20

impact world title, right?

1:03:22

I believe so. So essentially there was

1:03:25

Merged into that same title. So now

1:03:27

all of a sudden it's like they're

1:03:29

just randomly breaking it off It's not

1:03:31

like in WWE where they introduced the

1:03:33

world heavyweight title With Eric Bischoff and

1:03:35

it was establishing a new title. This

1:03:37

was essentially taking a title that was

1:03:39

already merged into a different title and

1:03:41

just Unmerging it. I don't even know if that's

1:03:43

a word. But unbranching it

1:03:45

off again. I don't know. But

1:03:47

I guess they needed to

1:03:49

do something. Yeah,

1:03:52

I wish they would have put a little more

1:03:54

thought into it, though. Like, I don't

1:03:56

know, ran an angle with Ken Shamrock or something and

1:03:58

he's taught, you know, they like give the bell

1:04:00

to him as some sort of ceremonial thing and then

1:04:02

Moose comes in and beats him up or something. And

1:04:06

then it becomes personal. But I

1:04:08

mean moose what just like unless they

1:04:10

addressed it and I missed it with like

1:04:12

moose just like broken in the warehouse

1:04:14

and still Well, he just showed up wearing

1:04:16

it. Yeah Yeah, like how did the

1:04:18

story of how it showed up was moose

1:04:21

had a ring introduction and he came

1:04:23

out wearing it There was no explanation other

1:04:25

than like here it is Because I

1:04:27

watched the I was watching the YouTube videos

1:04:29

today, and I was like why? I

1:04:32

couldn't figure it out. So then I

1:04:34

was like reading some reviews of the show

1:04:36

and I'm like, what? One

1:04:40

way that you can help us sustain our

1:04:42

schedule of putting out podcasts throughout the week

1:04:44

is by giving us a five star rating.

1:04:46

on Apple Podcasts. Just go to Apple Podcasts

1:04:48

and look for our Wade Keller Processing Podcast

1:04:50

and Wade Keller Processing Post Show and give

1:04:52

us a five star rating. We hope you

1:04:54

think we've earned that score with our fast

1:04:56

turnaround times and our quantity and quality of

1:04:58

wrestling analysis throughout the week. So take a

1:05:00

moment out for us and do us a

1:05:02

favor and give us a five star rating

1:05:04

at Apple Podcasts. That helps us on search

1:05:06

returns and helps us grow. And if you

1:05:08

want, you can add a few comments about

1:05:10

what you like about the programs in the

1:05:12

comments section. Thank you so much. I

1:05:17

think what I would have liked to see them

1:05:19

do just because TNA has such a stink on

1:05:21

it I think I would have liked to see

1:05:23

them do like just do what the UFC does

1:05:25

UFC as a guy gets hurt like let's say

1:05:27

they have a champion that gets hurt and can't

1:05:29

defend the title They'll do oh, yeah do it

1:05:31

interim championship So you do, okay, like it could

1:05:33

have been Michael Elgin against Moose for all week

1:05:36

here last night. Do Elgin against Moose? You don't

1:05:38

have to put Hernandez in there and make it

1:05:40

a three -way. Hernandez was in there to take

1:05:42

the pin, let's be honest. They

1:05:44

wanted Moose to win, they didn't want Elgin to lose.

1:05:46

So that's the reason why Hernandez was in there. But

1:05:49

maybe if you want to do it as a three -way so

1:05:51

that you don't need to have Elgin take the pin, fine. But

1:05:53

instead of having him win the

1:05:55

TNA championship, which everyone laughs at

1:05:58

because TNA has this just stain

1:06:00

all over it, Have

1:06:02

them win an interim world title and then

1:06:04

you can do with you I mean that's

1:06:06

what UFC does They do an interim champion

1:06:08

at whatever weight class and then when the

1:06:10

champion comes back they do a unification and

1:06:12

That's that I mean you could have very

1:06:14

easily just done that right? Even

1:06:16

if Tessa can't be at the tapings. She

1:06:18

could have sent them the belt You

1:06:20

know they let's say they wouldn't have had

1:06:22

enough time to get a new belt

1:06:24

made so you you have her send the

1:06:26

belt back you do an interim title

1:06:28

match with her belt and then in the

1:06:31

meantime you make another belt so that

1:06:33

when she comes back in 12 weeks you

1:06:35

have two of them and then you

1:06:37

do you know a unification match with the

1:06:39

interim champion against the the champion champion

1:06:41

as opposed to having to bring tna into

1:06:43

it like i just they could have

1:06:45

done the same thing the same angle and

1:06:47

did it that way rather than having

1:06:49

it with the tna title I

1:06:52

don't think many people I don't think a

1:06:54

lot of people would have been kind of

1:06:56

Chuckling at them for doing it today I

1:06:59

had some people today like on Twitter that

1:07:01

were like just TNA like this is what

1:07:03

they're doing Like this is what they decided

1:07:05

to go back to save the reason why

1:07:07

like why are you holding a TNA reunion

1:07:09

show when not many people had fond memories

1:07:11

of that company It just it's weird that

1:07:13

lately that they're all on board with like

1:07:15

we're gonna go back to TNA like When

1:07:17

they first bought the company, it was, we're

1:07:19

changing it to impact. We're getting as far

1:07:21

away from TNA as possible. And now all

1:07:23

of a sudden it's like, we're going back

1:07:25

to TNA. We're

1:07:28

all this TNA nostalgia that I think

1:07:30

they think exists somehow, but it doesn't.

1:07:34

There's some really weird things going

1:07:36

on about it too, because

1:07:38

he was dressed up as Ultimate

1:07:40

Warrior as well. So Ultimate

1:07:42

Warrior holding the TNA heavyweight title

1:07:44

and doing the Warrior Splash. It's

1:07:48

just goofy and also a warrior

1:07:50

was a not a very good person.

1:07:52

I don't know if he's somebody you want

1:07:54

to be. Yeah, I was.

1:07:58

Yeah, I don't know

1:08:00

if he's somebody you really want to honor

1:08:02

on TV like that. But.

1:08:07

Yeah, I mean, there's no like big payoff

1:08:09

to this because they're not going to be

1:08:11

like, you know, it's not going to be

1:08:13

Samoa Joe coming back to put an end

1:08:15

to Moose. It's not AJ Styles or Kurt

1:08:17

Angle. It's just

1:08:20

like a silly, yeah, short term

1:08:22

thing. And I wonder too, like,

1:08:24

what happens when they are back

1:08:26

and Tessa's back again? Because we

1:08:28

talked about this last week, if

1:08:30

her contract's up, this could this

1:08:32

could end up with Moose beating

1:08:34

Tessa. Intessa going

1:08:36

away. Yeah It

1:08:38

could yeah, right. I mean because

1:08:40

we don't know what's gonna go

1:08:43

on with her I mean, it's

1:08:45

gotta be close to the two

1:08:47

-year deal, right? Yeah,

1:08:49

I mean we talked about it

1:08:51

be it's probably in the summer

1:08:54

That would yeah, and if she's

1:08:56

gone for three months, I mean

1:08:58

she might just come in drop

1:09:00

the title Then it becomes the

1:09:02

maybe he'll just turn it into

1:09:04

TNA again I just

1:09:06

don't understand where they think there's all this,

1:09:08

why they think there's all this TNA nostalgia.

1:09:13

I don't, yeah,

1:09:15

it's so

1:09:17

weird. It wasn't even that long

1:09:20

ago. Like all that

1:09:22

stuff was, what, three years ago? Is

1:09:24

that when I quit being TNA? Four years ago?

1:09:27

No more than four. I think three years

1:09:29

ago. Was it TNA when we started

1:09:31

the show and then they switched to... Impact

1:09:33

then global force and then

1:09:35

impact again. I

1:09:37

think it was impact when

1:09:39

we started the show Okay,

1:09:41

I think Yeah, yeah, I

1:09:43

think it was okay So

1:09:45

yeah, they also had that

1:09:47

weird period where the where

1:09:49

they would go by impact,

1:09:51

but the company was still

1:09:53

TNA and Yeah, he was

1:09:56

like it's not hard to

1:09:58

understand our shows impact And

1:10:00

the company's TNA, but it's an impact

1:10:02

champion. She's out of

1:10:04

her mind. Yeah,

1:10:06

like it's so weird because, like, I

1:10:08

mean, I have no idea when

1:10:10

it officially switched. And I watched I was watching at

1:10:12

the time. Yeah. But

1:10:15

it was such a weird, long,

1:10:17

prolonged, like, oh, we're impacting the

1:10:19

name of the show's impact. Yeah.

1:10:22

She tried to explain in an

1:10:24

interview with Wade on interview Friday on

1:10:26

the old live cast and. It

1:10:29

was one of the most nonsensical things I've ever

1:10:31

heard. I was like, what? It's

1:10:33

like, yeah, yeah, we, we know, we know

1:10:35

the show's name impact and the company is named

1:10:37

TNA, but I think at that point they

1:10:39

were calling it their champions, like the impact world

1:10:41

champion. It's like, well, that's the name of

1:10:43

the show though. Yeah. You

1:10:45

said the company was a what? So what's going on?

1:10:47

Like she just made no sense. No,

1:10:51

she didn't. Uh,

1:10:53

okay. Last but a news

1:10:55

to hit on before we

1:10:58

wrap up the show, MLW

1:11:00

today announced that they have

1:11:02

signed a distribution partnership within

1:11:04

demand, uh, to create a

1:11:06

slate of special events starting

1:11:08

with this May on pay

1:11:11

per view in demand. Uh,

1:11:13

majorly wrestling will present three

1:11:15

marquee events in the month

1:11:17

of May, including, uh, MLW

1:11:19

battle riot two, which is

1:11:21

going to be on May

1:11:24

7th. Uh, Let's see all

1:11:26

the other ones mlw Saturday

1:11:28

night super fight is going

1:11:30

to air on May 14th

1:11:32

and then mlw opera cup

1:11:34

2019 is going to air

1:11:37

on May 21st They're all

1:11:39

gonna start at 8 p .m.

1:11:41

And then there's a PR

1:11:43

press release mumbo jumbo about

1:11:45

how great and demand is

1:11:49

Pretty cool deal though for MLW I

1:11:51

mean we talked earlier in the year

1:11:53

how they signed on with a marketing

1:11:55

firm or not a marketing firm But

1:11:57

some firm that was supposed to help

1:12:00

them get better television distribution and things

1:12:02

like that and this seems like well,

1:12:04

it's not a television deal and That

1:12:06

with all the COVID stuff going on.

1:12:08

I think all that stuff is kind

1:12:10

of slowed down But this It kind

1:12:12

of feels like it might be the

1:12:14

first step of something and in demands

1:12:16

one of the biggest pay -per -view distributors

1:12:18

in the world. I think they're It

1:12:20

might be the biggest one Definitely up

1:12:22

there is one of the biggest ones

1:12:24

so partnering with with them to air

1:12:26

some specials is a I would assume

1:12:28

a pretty significant thing for them Yeah,

1:12:31

I mean it definitely helps because they

1:12:33

there's not really a lot going on

1:12:35

for them to Like

1:12:37

really break up at this time. So

1:12:39

it is a nice Move forward

1:12:41

for them because yeah, they I mean

1:12:43

breaking because they can't like, you

1:12:45

know say like oh, we got this

1:12:47

TV deal or anything right now

1:12:49

unfortunately Because it sounded like things are

1:12:51

progressing pretty well, but Unfortunately that

1:12:53

probably will not be happening anytime soon

1:12:55

just guessing. Yeah, so Yeah, good

1:12:57

for them the show. I mean it's

1:12:59

pretty can been pretty consistent and Yeah,

1:13:03

they just they need something some little

1:13:05

bit of something to get people talking

1:13:07

again. I would agree The last thing

1:13:09

I wanted to ask you I don't

1:13:11

know if you saw this yesterday. Did

1:13:13

you see Dutchman tells tweet yesterday? I

1:13:16

read about it.

1:13:18

Yes So Dutchman tell

1:13:20

is reporting that

1:13:22

WWE is going to

1:13:24

be sold to Fox

1:13:26

and ESPN Does

1:13:28

that make any sense

1:13:33

I don't think so. So

1:13:37

let's put it this way. I wouldn't be

1:13:39

surprised as I knock my bottle of water

1:13:41

over. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold

1:13:43

the company. You

1:13:46

know I mean? Vince

1:13:48

is getting older. Did you

1:13:50

see him on SmackDown, by the way? Oh

1:13:52

my god. Yeah, he looks like a mummy. I

1:13:55

thought I looked bad with my shaved head and

1:13:57

no beard. That dude looks like he's part of

1:13:59

the walking dead. And he just...

1:14:02

Yeah, like at that point I just started

1:14:04

thinking I'm like, man, maybe he does

1:14:06

just want to get out of this. Like

1:14:08

his heart is not in this. Yeah. He's

1:14:11

just rambling. Yeah. Are

1:14:16

you a nostalgic wrestling fan? Do

1:14:18

you want to hear about shows you

1:14:20

haven't seen in 10, 20, maybe

1:14:22

even 30 years? Well, I have the

1:14:24

show for you. I'm PWTorch .com contributor

1:14:26

Frank Pediani, and since December

1:14:28

of 2020, I've hosted pro wrestling then

1:14:30

and now. Together with a rotating chair

1:14:32

of co -hosts, we go back and review

1:14:34

old shows from top to bottom, talk

1:14:36

about where the wrestlers were at the

1:14:38

time, and compare what's taking place now

1:14:40

to what took place then. You

1:14:42

can hear this, along with other shows as part

1:14:45

of your So

1:15:03

I do wonder, you

1:15:05

know, with with everything that happened

1:15:07

with the XFL, I don't know

1:15:09

if it has something to do with it or not. But I

1:15:11

wouldn't be surprised if they had a big offer that came along. think

1:15:14

that I think he would

1:15:17

sell so it's just the

1:15:19

fact that the rumor is

1:15:21

ESPN and Fox buying it

1:15:23

together that's the one where

1:15:26

it doesn't make a lot

1:15:28

of sense ESPN doesn't have

1:15:30

any programming right now Fox

1:15:32

obviously does but two networks

1:15:34

buying the company together that

1:15:37

doesn't that doesn't feel like

1:15:39

it's something that could happen.

1:15:41

Although, doesn't Disney own a

1:15:43

part of Fox now? They

1:15:46

own there some shows, but

1:15:48

they don't own, like they

1:15:50

don't own Fox News or...

1:15:52

Okay. There's obviously Disney on

1:15:54

DSPN, so I wasn't sure how much

1:15:57

Disney was involved with the Fox network. Yeah,

1:16:00

I think it was just like

1:16:02

movies and shows. Okay.

1:16:06

Because yeah, Simpsons is on Disney

1:16:08

Plus, but... I know Fox still

1:16:10

has his own divisions. Yeah. Still

1:16:12

going Maybe there's something going on

1:16:14

there. You know, maybe there is

1:16:16

a maybe that that part of

1:16:18

Fox and Disney together would would

1:16:20

be the purchaser. I don't really

1:16:22

know. I mean, it just it

1:16:24

sounds weird that it would be

1:16:26

two networks. And then I wonder

1:16:28

if that's true. And it's a

1:16:30

rumor. Who knows what Dutch

1:16:33

Vantel knows? Who knows what? What

1:16:36

was his name? Zeb Coulter. Who knows what

1:16:38

Zeb Coulter knows. But

1:16:41

I imagine NBC

1:16:43

Universal would be very happy with

1:16:45

this news. Right?

1:16:47

Oh, God, no. And the other thing

1:16:49

we talked about was, you

1:16:51

know, we talked about this a couple of weeks ago, but

1:16:53

they aired all those WrestleMania specials on ESPN. Yeah,

1:16:56

that's true. And we were kind of like, well, where does

1:16:58

this come from? And at the time, I think you and

1:17:00

I thought, well, they're talking about selling their pay -per -view rights.

1:17:03

Like maybe they're thinking of selling their pay

1:17:05

-per -view rights to pay -per -view rights to

1:17:07

ESPN plus, which is what the UFC did.

1:17:10

You know, maybe that's why. And this is like

1:17:12

a precursor to something like that. One

1:17:14

of those is a precursor to ESPN isn't just trying

1:17:16

to buy the pay -per -view rights. They're trying to buy

1:17:18

the whole damn company. That

1:17:21

would be yeah, it like had

1:17:24

you said had this come up

1:17:26

two years ago I would have

1:17:28

just been no that's absolutely ridiculous,

1:17:30

but I think yeah, I mean

1:17:32

Vince Seems like he's a broken

1:17:34

man. He like he wanted to

1:17:37

be bigger than wrestling over the

1:17:39

past few decades And he came

1:17:41

back to the XFL one more

1:17:43

time and that flopped again and

1:17:45

it I mean for reasons out

1:17:47

of his control But

1:17:51

yeah, it's like I

1:17:53

just don't see I

1:17:55

don't see him carrying

1:17:57

that much anymore and

1:17:59

here's the other thing

1:18:01

too there Vince Has

1:18:03

the biggest ego on

1:18:05

the planet Yeah, if

1:18:07

he doesn't feel like

1:18:09

Shane Stephanie and Triple

1:18:11

H are able to

1:18:13

take the company over

1:18:15

I Think that The

1:18:18

ego maniac that is Vince McMahon

1:18:20

would sell the company Grab as much

1:18:23

money as he can and then

1:18:25

hope that it fails so that Everyone

1:18:27

remembers Vince McMahon as the only

1:18:29

guy who can make pro wrestling work.

1:18:31

You know what I mean? Yeah,

1:18:33

I just I don't know that's the

1:18:36

thing like if and if it's

1:18:38

it's kind of a win -win for

1:18:40

him because if he sells it and

1:18:42

they're successful Vince got

1:18:44

out at the right, you know Vince made this

1:18:46

this move and he sold the company and

1:18:48

He made a killing and look at how great

1:18:50

the company's doing I Guess you can also

1:18:52

look at that negatively and say look at how

1:18:54

great they're doing now that he's out of

1:18:56

the way But if he sells it and they

1:18:59

fit it flops He

1:19:01

looks like a genius. He looks like the

1:19:03

only one that could ever do this. So I

1:19:05

don't know what the motivation would be there,

1:19:07

you know, in ratings are going down. All this

1:19:09

other stuff is there's so much happened. We

1:19:11

saw them, you know, fire a bunch of people

1:19:13

just to save their stock price a couple

1:19:15

of weeks ago. Does he

1:19:17

see the writing on the wall and

1:19:19

is he going to try to get out

1:19:21

before things get worse so that. history

1:19:24

goes, oh yeah, WWE fell apart

1:19:27

after they sold it to ESPN,

1:19:29

not WWE fell apart under Vince

1:19:31

McMahon's watch. Yeah,

1:19:33

that could certainly be something that's on his

1:19:35

mind at the moment. I think he could

1:19:37

still get out now and in his mind

1:19:39

justify it that he that he won, like,

1:19:41

you know, he gets X billions of dollars

1:19:43

to sell the company and he bought it

1:19:45

from his dad. And that's the thing too,

1:19:47

we're talking about the stock price. So, like,

1:19:50

ultimately, it's company. So, Vince would

1:19:52

just be selling his stake. So, at the end

1:19:54

the day, he needs to sell the company when

1:19:56

the stock price is at its highest. So, it's

1:19:58

not a question of, like, WWE is going to

1:20:00

be around forever, I think. They're never going to

1:20:02

go away. It's not a question of, like, all

1:20:04

the company's going to disappear. But from

1:20:06

a money perspective, is he looking

1:20:08

at the stock price right now going

1:20:11

Jesus is as good as it's gonna get

1:20:13

like the stock price is gonna be

1:20:15

$20 in two years right now. It's at

1:20:17

50 Yeah, I gotta get out now

1:20:19

Mm -hmm Yeah, and it you know it

1:20:21

could be something like you know with the

1:20:23

streaming more is going on and that

1:20:25

obviously can't last forever like the bubbles gonna

1:20:28

have to burst on that but like

1:20:30

ESPN might want to really have something in

1:20:32

their cap to say like hey, you

1:20:34

know basically combine ESPN with the WWE Network

1:20:36

and We'll have, you know, thousands

1:20:38

and thousands and thousands of hours of

1:20:40

that. So that would be a huge boost

1:20:42

for them. Yeah. Yeah. It's something to

1:20:44

follow. I mean, who knows, Dutch Mantel could

1:20:46

just be out of his mind. But

1:20:49

it's something to kind of follow and pay

1:20:51

attention to because that would be, geez,

1:20:53

if he sells the comp, if

1:20:55

the McMahons are no longer involved

1:20:57

and he sells a company, that

1:20:59

would be the biggest news in

1:21:02

pro wrestling in decades. Yeah.

1:21:06

Oh, yeah. I mean, I would imagine whoever I would

1:21:08

think like Triple H would still be around in

1:21:10

some form. I think, yeah, they would have to keep

1:21:12

so they would have to keep people. They'd have

1:21:14

to keep executives in charge around the company. ESPN can't

1:21:16

buy the WWE and then run it. The people

1:21:18

that are still running would have to be there to

1:21:21

run it. Yeah. Yeah. And

1:21:23

there's also like so many, so few

1:21:26

people that probably wouldn't know how. I

1:21:28

mean, the other thing too is they

1:21:30

could buy the company and keep Vincent

1:21:32

charges CEO. Oh, God. Yeah,

1:21:36

that's what what what is it IMG or

1:21:38

whoever was it bought the UFC? Just

1:21:40

kept in a light. Oh, that's yeah

1:21:42

Like brother sold UFC and then they retained

1:21:44

Dana White as the president of the

1:21:46

company So could be nothing more than a

1:21:48

business nothing could change it could be

1:21:50

nothing more than a business move of Vince

1:21:52

sells his stock and gets as much

1:21:55

as you can for selling the company and

1:21:57

then but he's still and he's still

1:21:59

in charge as an executive That could that

1:22:01

could also be the case. Yeah

1:22:04

Gosh, yeah, there's a lot of ways

1:22:06

I could play out. I mean,

1:22:08

I think he would have to like

1:22:10

he'd have greater Pressure on him

1:22:12

if it sold to say ESPN I

1:22:14

also don't think it would work

1:22:16

because Vince reporting to people would not

1:22:18

go well. Yeah, and like especially

1:22:20

at this age was he 74? Yeah,

1:22:23

74 Vince having to

1:22:25

report to someone else

1:22:27

would That would last

1:22:29

three months Yeah,

1:22:33

I'm just like looking at articles online,

1:22:35

you know touch mental see if there's

1:22:37

any updates No, yeah, I mean, yeah,

1:22:39

that would be the biggest like wrestling

1:22:41

story probably of our lifetime so far

1:22:43

Yeah, yeah for sure and I'm really

1:22:45

interested in what that motivation would be

1:22:47

was just be a money thing would

1:22:50

it be a You know it does

1:22:52

he not want I mean this this

1:22:54

this sounds really bad, but does he

1:22:56

not want Triple H and Stephanie to

1:22:58

have success like does he think everyone

1:23:00

loves NXT so much does he not

1:23:02

want to step aside and then have

1:23:04

everyone go oh geez now that Vince

1:23:06

has gone and triple H and Stephanie

1:23:08

are running things like it's great because

1:23:10

it's a book like how NXT was

1:23:12

like does he not want to see

1:23:14

that I don't know who knows like

1:23:16

Vince is out of this is crazy

1:23:18

it could be anything It really is

1:23:20

I mean Yeah, I know I laughed

1:23:22

at that but I could definitely see

1:23:25

that as something I mean he's lives

1:23:27

in his own little world like You

1:23:30

know he thought what was it Robin

1:23:32

damn that said it like he said

1:23:34

the reason that people cheer ECW is

1:23:36

because of him Yeah, so he's he's

1:23:38

a narcissist and maybe he just could

1:23:40

not handle anybody else You know doing

1:23:42

it better than him and he's done

1:23:44

this for so long that he also

1:23:47

not believes his own BS You

1:23:49

know what I mean? Like this

1:23:51

has just been his world for

1:23:54

such a long period of time

1:23:56

that Nothing is ever his fault.

1:23:58

It's always somebody else's fault. That's

1:24:00

why so many people get fired

1:24:02

and why there's so much turnover

1:24:04

and everything. It's never Vince. It's

1:24:06

always somebody else You know, it's

1:24:09

Sounds a lot like the White

1:24:11

House And we know their buddies

1:24:13

But that's kind of what it

1:24:15

is. Like that's how honestly like

1:24:17

you watch a White House

1:24:19

press briefing and like that's how I

1:24:21

imagined production meetings are with Vince. Yeah,

1:24:27

yeah, nothing just called can't take

1:24:29

doesn't apologize for anything. Yeah, I

1:24:31

mean, like they're kind of the

1:24:33

same person. They really

1:24:35

are. Yeah. Like

1:24:37

I really that we know that they're

1:24:39

by but we know they get along obviously

1:24:41

like Trump was on WrestleMania But I

1:24:43

kind of just imagine the way that they

1:24:45

are the way they act the way

1:24:47

they manage people is probably pretty close to

1:24:49

being the same oh my god, can

1:24:51

you imagine them just like hanging out like

1:24:53

It would just like who would get

1:24:56

to talk all at them because They wouldn't

1:24:58

really take turns I'm sure no, I

1:25:00

don't think so They there I would imagine

1:25:02

they would both talk about themselves quite

1:25:04

a bit Yeah, that's

1:25:06

one of them listening to the

1:25:08

other person A room with

1:25:10

two guys in it talking about

1:25:12

how great they are without

1:25:14

listening to the other guy Yeah,

1:25:16

they're both I would guess

1:25:18

pretty poor listeners from what I've

1:25:20

heard Yeah, but you just

1:25:22

like you we've heard enough because

1:25:24

we've heard enough crazy stories

1:25:26

with Vince now that I

1:25:29

just I have to believe they're

1:25:31

true like guys getting fired because they

1:25:33

sneeze like I've heard that enough

1:25:35

times that even though it sounds completely

1:25:37

ridiculous Enough people have said it

1:25:39

that I'm like, yeah, well, there's there's

1:25:41

probably some truth to that Well,

1:25:43

yeah, and just like that. I don't

1:25:45

know that smackdown angle. That was

1:25:47

I thought worrying. Yeah like

1:25:49

Talking about Bailey. This

1:25:51

is your life Not

1:25:53

that was her fault by

1:25:56

the way And

1:25:58

that was recorded So like that

1:26:00

was edited to make him look as

1:26:03

good as possible I watched it.

1:26:05

Yeah, I watched it on YouTube and

1:26:07

you could tell they cut out

1:26:09

sections and I'm like That's what they

1:26:11

had to air like I don't

1:26:13

need I was easy. What is he

1:26:15

doing? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,

1:26:17

he's I don't

1:26:19

know He's something else

that's for sure Thanks

1:27:06

well, I think that's it. We pretty much

1:27:08

hit on everything else, right? Oh wait, what about

1:27:10

the other Vince? Oh

1:27:12

the other bit. Oh How

1:27:14

did I forget this Andrew? Thank

1:27:17

you so much So over

1:27:19

the weekend Vince Russo The fan

1:27:21

I don't want to go

1:27:23

and rip him too much because

1:27:25

who knows I just I

1:27:27

had an observation I wanted to

1:27:30

point out Vince Russo was thought

1:27:35

being a little unfair to

1:27:37

a colleague of ours Bruce

1:27:39

Mitchell wasn't criticizing his wrestling

1:27:41

opinion he was criticizing a

1:27:44

photo and I thought like

1:27:46

hey that's a little personal

1:27:48

it's probably you know over

1:27:50

over the edge so I

1:27:52

got a little personal in

1:27:54

my response to Vince take

1:27:56

I said something like yeah

1:27:58

you keep living those Christian

1:28:00

values buddy Russo

1:28:05

retweeted a couple of the stuff

1:28:07

that I had sent him in a

1:28:09

like a quote retweet But not

1:28:11

the ones that you would do like

1:28:13

through tweet deck. It was like

1:28:15

old -school style style quote retweet where

1:28:17

like he Put my Twitter handle and

1:28:19

then what I said and then

1:28:22

he would respond below it Hmm and

1:28:24

the army of idiots That flooded

1:28:26

into my mentions to defend Vince Russo

1:28:28

it was The reason why I

1:28:30

wanted to bring it up is it reminded me

1:28:32

a lot of the overly sensitive impact fans that

1:28:34

we've talked about and laughed at on this show

1:28:36

multiple times. The people that just think like, we,

1:28:40

Andrew, I don't know if you knew this, Andrew, but we hate impact. Like

1:28:43

we want to see them close down. We

1:28:45

want to see everyone fired and we want to

1:28:47

see them all homeless. Like that's what we want. That's

1:28:51

what I've been told that we want.

1:28:53

Yeah, sometimes I forget that, but yeah, I

1:28:55

remember wanting that. Yeah, me too. Vince

1:28:58

Russo has an army

1:29:00

of idiots that puts those

1:29:03

people to shame puts

1:29:05

the impact people to shame

1:29:07

like The some of

1:29:09

the responses I got my

1:29:11

favorite. I'll just tell

1:29:14

you my favorite one. Okay.

1:29:16

Yeah, my favorite one

1:29:18

was I'm such a wwe

1:29:20

mark, bro that I

1:29:24

changed my tw - my Twitter name

1:29:26

is Torch McMahon and that's because of

1:29:28

how much I love WWE. It's not

1:29:30

my real name. Oh

1:29:32

wow. Got a few of

1:29:34

those. I got a few of

1:29:36

those. And I laughed because

1:29:38

I was like, that's just bad humor.

1:29:40

That's not funny. But then there was one

1:29:42

guy in particular who kept saying it

1:29:45

over and over again to the point where

1:29:47

I finally was like... I was leaving

1:29:49

a lot of it alone and not responding.

1:29:51

Because you can't argue with stupid. You

1:29:54

can't reason or argue with stupid. It's just

1:29:56

you can't. But there was one

1:29:58

guy who said like three or four

1:30:00

times that I changed my name. I

1:30:03

changed my name. That's why I love

1:30:05

WWE so much and that's why I

1:30:07

suck. That I

1:30:09

finally responded and I went, do you

1:30:11

really believe that that's not my name? Do

1:30:15

you actually believe that

1:30:17

my last name is not

1:30:19

McMahon? And he said

1:30:21

yes and wanted to put

1:30:23

money on it. So I

1:30:25

said, wow, great. I said, how does a

1:30:27

thousand bucks sound? He

1:30:30

responded with something like why then

1:30:32

you'll just produce a fake ID or

1:30:34

something. I'm like, okay. So then

1:30:36

at that point I was like, this

1:30:38

is the level of intelligence that

1:30:40

I'm arguing with almost felt bad because

1:30:43

I'm like, you know what? This

1:30:46

probably isn't isn't right like there could be

1:30:48

something genuinely wrong with this human being But it

1:30:50

went back and forth a couple times He

1:30:52

never took on the bet which I was kind

1:30:54

of upset about because hey, it would be

1:30:56

the easiest bet ever I mean, I think I

1:30:58

know my I think I know my name

1:31:00

But the level I just wanted to bring up

1:31:02

how the level of people who would come

1:31:04

to think like Quite a few so and I

1:31:07

even said this over one point. I go

1:31:09

I responded to Russo one point. I want events.

1:31:11

I gotta give you credit You somehow manage

1:31:13

a lot of people to just

1:31:15

be convinced that you are the

1:31:17

wrestling Messiah and They needed to

1:31:19

defend you to no end because

1:31:21

it was just like the level

1:31:24

of idiot that came out of

1:31:26

the woodwork Saturday afternoon to defend

1:31:28

Vince Russo was something else and

1:31:30

it reminded me a lot of

1:31:32

the people who think we hate

1:31:34

impact That's yeah, I remember listening

1:31:36

to an old Conrad

1:31:40

something to wrestle with episode and

1:31:42

somebody like one of them started

1:31:44

like bad -mouthing Vince Russo or

1:31:46

like saying just saying something negative

1:31:48

about him and then Conrad just

1:31:50

stopped and he's like no no

1:31:53

I don't want his fans coming

1:31:55

after us just Yeah, it's

1:31:57

it's I mean he's

1:32:00

essentially like a Vince McMahon

1:32:02

in a way because

1:32:04

he Never admits fault Yeah,

1:32:08

like I get it. He had

1:32:10

some he had a lot of success

1:32:12

in the WWF, but it obviously

1:32:14

wasn't just him. Yeah. Well,

1:32:16

and give credit where it's due. Like

1:32:18

the two year running had in WWF

1:32:20

was a really good run. Mm

1:32:22

hmm. You know, it's just that and this

1:32:24

is what I said to somebody the other

1:32:26

day. Like he had two years of a

1:32:28

really good run in WWF and then he

1:32:31

had 14 years of crap. You

1:32:33

know, whether it was his time

1:32:35

in WCW. which lasted three months

1:32:37

or the biggest thing and this is

1:32:39

the weird one I brought up TNA

1:32:41

I'm like well if it was so

1:32:43

great you keep all these people kept

1:32:45

telling me six million people were watching

1:32:47

wrong when Vince wrote it and I

1:32:49

kept responding with well why weren't six

1:32:51

million people watching TNA then like if

1:32:53

it was so great Why weren't

1:32:55

six million people watching TNA? And

1:32:58

the response was just, well, TNA had their

1:33:00

highest viewership when he was writing it.

1:33:02

I'm like, yeah, but it's not an apples

1:33:04

to apples comparison. Cause TV is so

1:33:06

much different now. Like it's way different now.

1:33:08

Cause when Russo first started running TNA,

1:33:10

like DVR was just starting to come out.

1:33:12

Like there was a lot less things

1:33:14

you could do. The internet, there was just,

1:33:17

it was, it's a much different landscape.

1:33:19

So it wasn't an apples to apples comparison,

1:33:21

but the people that were even defending

1:33:23

his TNA stuff. Like, that was the major

1:33:25

thing that just blew me away. People

1:33:27

were defending his TNA run and trying to

1:33:29

tell me how great it was. And

1:33:31

I was like, you watching the show? I

1:33:34

wanted to reply to these people and go,

1:33:36

look, I get it. You can look at

1:33:38

numbers and go, a million viewers is harder

1:33:41

than they get now. Yeah, yeah, I know.

1:33:43

That was the other popular one. Well,

1:33:45

more people watch this TNA stuff

1:33:47

than watch AEW now. It's

1:33:50

an apples to apples comparison

1:33:52

television in 2004 to television today.

1:33:54

It's not news flash. But

1:33:56

again, you can't argue with stupid

1:33:58

people because they just keep

1:34:00

responding with stupid things. But

1:34:03

yeah, not only were they defending

1:34:05

Vince Russo, which fine, whatever your Vince Russo fan

1:34:07

defend, I don't really care. The people

1:34:09

that were defending the TNA shows is like, that

1:34:11

was some of the best stuff I've ever seen. You

1:34:14

need to have your head, like honestly, you need

1:34:16

to have your head examined. Like, if you look at

1:34:18

his TNA run and go, that was some of

1:34:20

the best wrestling I've ever seen, seek

1:34:22

professional help because

1:34:24

something just is wrong

1:34:26

upstairs. Yeah.

1:34:30

And the thing is, I mean, like,

1:34:32

if he wasn't so defensive, if

1:34:34

he had a sense of humor about himself

1:34:36

and he was kinder to people, he would have

1:34:38

a job somewhere. Like, you

1:34:41

know, I mean, everybody If

1:34:43

he could be like, yes, I've had many

1:34:45

terrible ideas, but I sometimes have good ones,

1:34:47

you know, but like AEW would want nothing

1:34:49

to do with them. WWE wants nothing to

1:34:51

do with them. Because he just

1:34:53

always says how he's right, how he

1:34:55

could just how everyone else is an

1:34:57

idiot. How

1:35:00

like people, you know, he

1:35:02

just appeals to like internet

1:35:04

fans and just doesn't really

1:35:06

get storytelling because he keeps

1:35:09

breaking his own universe. So

1:35:11

yeah. Yeah, I mean, he's he's a

1:35:14

guy who ran a video video store

1:35:16

who had a loud mouth and somehow

1:35:18

Vince McMahon led him on the writing

1:35:20

team for a little bit. I

1:35:22

mean, this this myth that that

1:35:24

he is this great writer for again,

1:35:27

the two year one was great. Why

1:35:29

wasn't it great anywhere else? Yeah,

1:35:32

he's really bad and WCW, you know,

1:35:34

during the by race. I mean, look,

1:35:36

it was great because he hot shot

1:35:39

it. the company for two years and

1:35:41

that works. Like I'm not saying that

1:35:43

doesn't work. You can hot shot and

1:35:45

do title changes every 15 seconds and

1:35:47

do, you know, nine gimmick matches a

1:35:49

week on TV and that'll work. People

1:35:51

will tune in and watch that a

1:35:53

hundred percent. The problem is, is

1:35:55

after you do that for 18 to 24 months,

1:35:58

what do you do next? What

1:36:00

do you do when, what do you do when

1:36:02

the audience is desensitized to everything? Hmm.

1:36:04

You know, it's the same issue

1:36:06

that that ECW ran into. Like, well,

1:36:08

you can't start killing people. So where

1:36:10

do you go next? And

1:36:12

I think at

1:36:14

any time, something like that's

1:36:17

been done, where you just hot shot and hot

1:36:19

shot and hot shot and hot shot and hot

1:36:21

shot, you end up with, you know, a period

1:36:23

of drought that's four times as long as the

1:36:25

period of success, because you get to a point

1:36:27

where you just hit a brick wall, you can't

1:36:29

go anywhere anymore. and you're

1:36:31

stuck with just anything that comes

1:36:33

next feels like it's a step down

1:36:35

because you don't have chaos his

1:36:38

shows for lack of a better term

1:36:40

had a lot of chaos like

1:36:42

they were chaotic there was chaos for

1:36:44

two straight hours on raw every

1:36:46

week and people tuned in to see

1:36:48

that and people and nitro was

1:36:50

the same way from like 96 to

1:36:53

98 and then both companies i

1:36:55

think struggled to go anywhere else after

1:36:57

that because you can't go anywhere

1:36:59

else after that you writing the tv

1:37:01

the way he did from ninety

1:37:03

seven ninety nine worked from ninety seven

1:37:05

ninety nine but i think we

1:37:07

saw afterwards how reckless it was and

1:37:10

how responsible it was because of

1:37:12

the effect it had from the period

1:37:14

of years after that I'm

1:37:21

Kelly Wells, host of

1:37:24

PWT Talks NXT, the longest

1:37:26

-running NXT podcast anywhere. Join

1:37:28

me along with Nate Lindbergh, Bruce Lee

1:37:30

Hazlewood, and special guests live every Tuesday

1:37:32

night, just minutes after NXT where we

1:37:34

cover the good, the bad, and the

1:37:36

ugly on the way to becoming a

1:37:38

star in WWE. Check us

1:37:40

out live on YouTube or stream later

1:37:42

wherever you get your podcasts. Yeah,

1:37:52

I mean if you look back

1:37:54

at those times too, I mean I

1:37:56

have very fond memories of that

1:37:58

attitude era But I mean there was

1:38:00

so much crap going on that

1:38:02

we just overlooked or just embraced and

1:38:04

I mean like you know there's

1:38:07

Like all the stuff with Val Venus

1:38:09

the godfather like there's like a

1:38:11

pimp wrestler Like you go on

1:38:13

and on and on like the

1:38:15

sexism and everything and it wasn't

1:38:17

good in retrospect so yeah there's

1:38:19

only so long that could have

1:38:21

lasted before the audience would have

1:38:23

grown up and wanted more from

1:38:25

wrestling and he was never ever

1:38:27

ever gonna do that because he

1:38:29

never could I mean as we

1:38:31

saw throughout the years of what

1:38:33

he did do in TNA a

1:38:35

lot of I think you know

1:38:37

I was reading that WCW book

1:38:40

And they talk about him for a bit.

1:38:42

And one angle that I'd never heard

1:38:44

about that he had pitched was that David

1:38:46

Flair and Ms. Hancock, who was Stacey

1:38:48

Kiebler, was

1:38:50

going to have a kid, and the

1:38:52

kid was going to be revealed to

1:38:55

be Vince Russo's kid. So,

1:38:58

wow. First of all, like the

1:39:00

narcissism with that. But then

1:39:02

it was going to somehow later

1:39:04

be revealed that Like

1:39:07

Stacy and David Flair were actually

1:39:09

like brother and sister. Just

1:39:12

like how he wanted Ken Shamrock and

1:39:14

Ryan Shamrock to have a sexual relationship.

1:39:17

I mean, he was going to do, I mean, if

1:39:20

he had free reign, he would have ruined a

1:39:22

lot, a lot, a lot of careers because you can't

1:39:24

come back from, you can't come back from incest. So.

1:39:29

That's going to be a, someone's going to just lift that up. It's

1:39:31

going to be a sound bite like that. You're

1:39:33

right. You can't, can't come back from it. So

1:39:36

he's a fascinating figure in a

1:39:38

way because I think there was

1:39:40

a lot of good things at

1:39:42

bottom. I've listened to his

1:39:45

podcast. I'd begrudgingly like agreed with quite

1:39:47

a bit. And then he's just

1:39:49

infuriating because he refuses to. Uh,

1:39:51

have a sense of humor about himself or

1:39:53

just thinks he plays a victim and that

1:39:55

the world's out to get him and he

1:39:57

takes no responsibility for that whatsoever. And he

1:39:59

still thinks he's right. Like kind of like

1:40:01

Vince McMahon, like you said, he still thinks

1:40:03

he's a genius. Like

1:40:05

he genuinely thinks if AEW or WWE

1:40:07

hired him right now, he would fix

1:40:09

all of their problems because he's the

1:40:12

only one that can do it, you

1:40:14

know, he's the only one that can

1:40:16

do it. It's all about him. It's

1:40:18

just, it's upsetting. But I

1:40:20

did find it interesting. It made

1:40:22

me chuckle on Saturday, provided

1:40:24

some entertainment with all these floods

1:40:26

of mentions about all these

1:40:28

people that were just ardently defending

1:40:30

Vince Russo, and I'm like,

1:40:32

he's somehow, again, it

1:40:35

takes a special kind of stupid,

1:40:37

I think, but he's convinced a lot

1:40:39

of people that he's great, and

1:40:41

he's got this army of people willing

1:40:43

to defend him, which is funny

1:40:45

to me. It's very

1:40:47

strange. Like, yeah, I'm a

1:40:50

big Norm MacDonald fan. I

1:40:52

mean, he's just never been like a

1:40:54

big star and he got kicked off of

1:40:56

Weekend Update. But I don't, you know,

1:40:58

that was 20 some years ago. I don't

1:41:00

still like go on Twitter and harass

1:41:02

the people that like fired him or anything.

1:41:06

Yeah, it is very weird that he

1:41:08

has this whole section of people that

1:41:10

are just devoted

1:41:12

to him Yeah, and you can tell

1:41:14

that like he programs what they say Probably

1:41:16

because it's just the stuff that and

1:41:18

I don't listen to his podcast It was

1:41:21

probably just the stuff that he repeats

1:41:23

over and over and over again in his

1:41:25

podcast because they everyone said the same

1:41:27

thing like every person that that jumped to

1:41:29

defend him said the same thing and

1:41:31

it was stuff like I've got some of

1:41:33

them up here More adults were watching

1:41:35

his written weekly product than any other before

1:41:38

and after uh... than that

1:41:40

another person you can't deny the wrestling

1:41:42

is that when it comes to

1:41:44

the casual family went from uh... eight

1:41:46

to ten million viewers watching a

1:41:48

week to now there's only you know

1:41:50

rosette two million in impact in

1:41:53

a new you get a combined one

1:41:55

point three everything was about viewership

1:41:57

numbers everything about the end it doesn't

1:41:59

take a genius or someone who

1:42:01

works in television to tell you that

1:42:03

television very rarely gives a crap

1:42:05

about viewership numbers. Because

1:42:08

again, so much has

1:42:10

changed. Like three million people watching

1:42:12

in 2020 is not the equivalent

1:42:14

of three million people watching in

1:42:16

1998. Like there's a

1:42:18

completely different environment. So

1:42:20

using those numbers, it just, it doesn't

1:42:22

make sense. Like it, cause it's

1:42:24

not an apples to apples comparison, but

1:42:27

these idiots think that it is. Yeah,

1:42:30

I mean there's what 30

1:42:32

channels at that time 30 40

1:42:34

Yeah, and it was and

1:42:36

there was no YouTube there was

1:42:38

no internet DVR there was

1:42:40

like yeah barely any internet It

1:42:42

was it was a different

1:42:44

time like it was a different

1:42:47

time and I mean Yeah,

1:42:49

like the Simpsons was at that

1:42:51

time drawing 20 some million

1:42:53

people a week it gets like

1:42:55

two three now Yeah, that's

1:42:57

just how it works Yeah,

1:43:00

um In fact, I was looking

1:43:02

that up right now. I was looking

1:43:04

up some other shows to see

1:43:07

how much it's dropped and you're right.

1:43:09

That's just It's how it it's

1:43:11

how TV is. I mean, that's look

1:43:13

at like the top show. Yeah,

1:43:15

look right here. So in in Season

1:43:17

what would have season like 1998

1:43:19

would have been like season nine, maybe

1:43:22

The Simpsons. Yeah. Yeah, I probably

1:43:24

bought that. Yeah, it looks like right

1:43:26

about 18 and a half million

1:43:28

people on average season nine And season

1:43:30

27 was four million people. Yeah.

1:43:34

So there you go. Yeah.

1:43:38

I mean, is someone out? You

1:43:40

don't hear Conan O 'Brien going, I'm the

1:43:42

only one that can make the Simpsons work.

1:43:44

They've got to bring me back. Oh

1:43:47

my God. Yeah. Your ship was

1:43:49

never better than when I was there.

1:43:51

I'm the best, bro. That

1:43:54

is the perfect comparison, actually. Right,

1:43:57

I mean yeah, it's just

1:43:59

it's viewing habits are different television

1:44:01

is different But these idiots

1:44:03

don't understand that and it's because

1:44:05

the main idiot the biggest

1:44:07

one in charge is Going on

1:44:09

his podcast every day telling

1:44:11

everybody how great he is It's

1:44:13

so weird too because like

1:44:16

he kept swearing he's like up

1:44:18

as soon as I'm done

1:44:20

with the WCW I'm done with

1:44:22

wrestling forever He's just like

1:44:24

he can't let it go and

1:44:26

he can't like stop defending

1:44:28

his his work from 20 some

1:44:30

years ago yeah i move

1:44:32

on yeah yeah he just he

1:44:34

can't he can't get over

1:44:36

it he can like i said

1:44:38

to you before too like

1:44:40

he's he still thinks that he

1:44:42

has all the answers and

1:44:44

if he did like like i

1:44:46

said before Yeah,

1:44:49

so he may have, he may have been

1:44:51

writing TNA when they had their most viewers

1:44:53

in aggregate, right? The most total number of

1:44:55

viewers. Why didn't

1:44:57

the company grow? Yeah,

1:44:59

why didn't they make any money? And

1:45:01

maybe a million people were watching it

1:45:04

on TV, but like they were getting 10

1:45:06

,000 pay -per -view buys. Why

1:45:08

didn't anybody care? Yep.

1:45:11

And how many more people should have

1:45:13

been watching? You know, they could have,

1:45:15

they should have kept growing. But then

1:45:17

every day. Exactly, exactly. It's just, it's

1:45:20

funny, but it's not at the

1:45:22

same time because like there's people that

1:45:24

actually believe that you put him

1:45:26

on a, not even on a writing

1:45:28

team, they can't be a writing

1:45:30

team. That's the other thing. It can't

1:45:32

be a writing team. It just

1:45:34

has to be him. Yeah.

1:45:37

Cause he's talked about that before

1:45:39

too, how he almost went back

1:45:41

to WWE in 2002 and he

1:45:43

walked in and he saw all

1:45:45

these writers and he was like,

1:45:47

this isn't going to work. if

1:45:49

it's so if it's not just

1:45:51

him it's not gonna work yeah

1:45:54

he's not like he's not like

1:45:56

he's not the showrunner i mean

1:45:58

he's not like david chase on

1:46:00

the sopranos or anything he's not

1:46:02

the guy so it's just not

1:46:04

how it works i mean yeah

1:46:06

again he he did that in

1:46:09

wwe when he had

1:46:11

a roster full of generational

1:46:13

talent that was all in their

1:46:15

prime. Austin, Bret

1:46:18

Hart, Shawn Michaels, The

1:46:21

Rock, generational

1:46:23

talents, guys that were

1:46:25

as big if not bigger than

1:46:27

Hulk Hogan at 30 years old, like

1:46:30

in their prime, in the prime

1:46:32

of their careers. That's

1:46:34

what he had. He wasn't doing it with a bunch of

1:46:36

garbage. Like he was doing it with a bunch of guys

1:46:38

that were The biggest

1:46:40

stars of their generation all

1:46:42

in their prime all at

1:46:44

the same time Yeah, basically,

1:46:46

I mean It's kind of

1:46:49

like in some facts they

1:46:51

they got over just in

1:46:53

spite of him Because like

1:46:55

look at the people that

1:46:57

were just like never given

1:47:00

a chance because they had

1:47:02

such crappy gimmicks like meat

1:47:04

And alcoholic Legion of Doom

1:47:06

and Look

1:47:09

at WCW, look at his

1:47:11

WCW stuff for a perfect example

1:47:13

of what Vince Russo would do

1:47:15

without the Vince McMahon filter, right? Lance

1:47:18

Storm has told a story on one of

1:47:20

his student interviews about how, when

1:47:23

he was with Team Canada

1:47:25

and being kind of the head

1:47:27

of Team Canada, Russo wanted

1:47:29

him to be the Canadian World

1:47:31

Organization. And it'd be funny

1:47:33

because it's CWO and they would get the

1:47:35

name wrong. And Lance said in the

1:47:37

interview, I looked at him, you know, at a production

1:47:39

meeting and I went, why do we

1:47:41

have to be stupid? And

1:47:44

Russel was like, well, that's funny. Like

1:47:46

you just like the NWO, but you get

1:47:48

the name wrong. And Lance goes,

1:47:50

you know, I'm in this company. The NWO is

1:47:52

the biggest thing in pro wrestling like in

1:47:54

the last 10 years. And I don't know what

1:47:56

it is. Like why, why do I have

1:47:58

to be stupid? Why does it have to be

1:48:00

funny? And then Russo was

1:48:02

just kind of like, ah, well, whatever, just do whatever you

1:48:04

want, because he didn't care enough about it. So he said,

1:48:06

just do whatever you want. And they stuck with Team Canada.

1:48:09

But that's the thing. Everything needed to be

1:48:11

funny. Everything with him needed to be

1:48:13

funny. I

1:48:17

remember one of the early

1:48:19

episodes where he took over

1:48:21

and Hugh Morris's dad came

1:48:23

out because he'd escaped from

1:48:25

a mental institution. And

1:48:27

then they dropped that two

1:48:29

weeks and then he became a

1:48:31

huge erection. Oh, I

1:48:34

remember that. Yeah.

1:48:38

I remember that. Yeah. And it was

1:48:40

just silly stuff like that. It

1:48:42

was just silly stuff. And it was

1:48:44

that dumb comedy that you and

1:48:46

I often complain about on the show.

1:48:49

Oh, yeah. That was that was rough

1:48:51

watching that stuff. Yeah. And even the

1:48:53

TNA stuff was bad. The

1:48:56

TNA stuff was bad. The TNA

1:48:58

stuff was really bad. It was really

1:49:00

bad. There was so many, I

1:49:02

mean, they had Joe and AJ Styles

1:49:04

in the prime of their careers

1:49:07

and just they played second fiddle to

1:49:09

whatever WWE star came in. Yeah. That's

1:49:12

enough of that. I didn't want

1:49:14

to go too much, but it was

1:49:16

just funny to me that this

1:49:18

army of idiots that are just so

1:49:20

ready to defend Vince Russo of

1:49:22

all people like that. Okay,

1:49:25

I mean, hey, that's the hill you

1:49:27

want to die on. That's

1:49:29

the hill you can die on, that's fine. And if

1:49:31

anyone does want to make a bet, if anyone wants to

1:49:33

take me up on that $1 ,000 bet about what my

1:49:35

actual last name is, I'm willing to bet

1:49:37

you. I don't even care

1:49:39

how you want to prove it. Like you want my birth certificate, you

1:49:41

1:50:38

was by far my favorite thing. That

1:50:40

is very weird. And again, like I thought

1:50:42

at first I was like, oh, that's sad. Like

1:50:44

this guy's trying to be funny. Like

1:50:47

he's trying to make a joke. He's just not a

1:50:49

good joke. And then it kept coming in again and again.

1:50:51

And I was like, I don't think he's joking. I

1:50:53

think he's being serious. Which made me felt even

1:50:55

sadder, because then I'm like, well, now he's just

1:50:57

like an idiot. Did he think

1:50:59

you legally changed your name or that

1:51:01

would be like? I think no. I

1:51:04

think he just thought I made my

1:51:06

Twitter name, like my online persona was

1:51:08

McMahon because I just love WWE so

1:51:10

much. Gotcha. That was my

1:51:12

other favorite part about it was, I

1:51:14

think it was the same guy. The

1:51:18

same guy that was like you

1:51:21

shouldn't say anything negative about Vince because

1:51:23

you don't really know him Then

1:51:25

a couple of tweets later you love

1:51:27

WWE so much that you change

1:51:29

your name to McMahon and I use

1:51:31

other things like I'm a horrible

1:51:33

human being and all this other stuff

1:51:36

and I was like wait a

1:51:38

minute 30 seconds ago You told me

1:51:40

I couldn't say anything about Vince

1:51:42

Russo because I didn't know him. You

1:51:44

don't know me. Right. The

1:51:48

hypocrisy was

1:51:50

very palpable. Same

1:51:52

thing with Vince Russo who would

1:51:54

sit there and be like, I am

1:51:56

a Christian and he'll tell everybody

1:51:58

he's a Christian and then he'll go

1:52:00

and just personally attack people. And

1:52:03

then hide behind him by going, oh,

1:52:05

it was a joke, bro. All

1:52:07

these dirt sheet writers and mocks

1:52:09

get upset. You know, they

1:52:11

can't take a joke, bro. And I

1:52:13

was like, no, you weren't joking. Being

1:52:15

an a -hole and then you're gonna

1:52:17

sit there and tell everybody how Christian

1:52:20

you are while making personal attacks You

1:52:22

know aren't people and that's I was

1:52:24

calling out what I saw is hypocrisy

1:52:26

because and then Those are like people

1:52:28

got very upset that I dare say

1:52:30

anything about him You know and talking

1:52:32

about I was a Christian all the

1:52:34

time but having no issues personally attacking

1:52:36

people constantly People got very upset that

1:52:38

I would dare attack his religion. I'm

1:52:40

like, I'm not attacking his religion. I'm

1:52:42

like if you're a Christian, that's fine

1:52:44

be a Christian That's totally fine. I'm

1:52:46

not attacking Christianity I'm attacking Vince Russo

1:52:48

who will sit there and say I

1:52:50

am a Christian and I live by

1:52:53

these values and I'm gonna attack you

1:52:55

and I'm gonna attack you and not

1:52:57

like I disagree with your wrestling opinion

1:52:59

I'm gonna do attack you personally because

1:53:01

like that's apparently what what a Christian

1:53:03

would do it went and nothing to

1:53:05

do With attack like that

1:53:07

was the thing that I found insane that

1:53:09

these idiots were like you're attacking Christianity. No,

1:53:11

no attacking Vince Russo who's a hypocrite. That's

1:53:13

what attacking It's a yeah,

1:53:15

I mean I used to listen

1:53:18

to his podcast sometimes when I

1:53:20

would was running pwpodcast .com and doing

1:53:22

write -ups on it, but yeah,

1:53:24

I was um He would always

1:53:26

say like Christianity led the number

1:53:28

one thing in my life I

1:53:30

don't really care about wrestling and

1:53:32

then it would just be like

1:53:35

well, where's your Christian podcast then

1:53:37

like why is everything you talk

1:53:39

about he hosts a show called

1:53:41

castrating the marks. Yeah Like where

1:53:43

he just openly rips on people

1:53:45

Yeah, I'm sorry like I I'm

1:53:47

it's the it's the hypocrisy that

1:53:50

I found That I had originally

1:53:52

pointed out in my original tweet

1:53:54

It was the hypocrisy of the

1:53:56

whole thing and these people got

1:53:58

very defensive very defensive of it

1:54:00

or so And I was told

1:54:02

about, you know, again, my favorite was, you don't

1:54:04

know him. How can you attack him? You this

1:54:06

and that, and this and that, and every horrible

1:54:08

name in the book. It's like, I

1:54:10

can't attack Vince because I don't know him, but

1:54:12

these people had no issue attacking me. It

1:54:15

was just, and again, I

1:54:17

had fun with it and I just was like,

1:54:19

yeah, that's not hypocritical at all. Yeah,

1:54:22

that's it. Yeah.

1:54:26

I wish I could say, I think it'd

1:54:29

work out differently, but yeah, it's, I

1:54:31

mean, everything I've kind of heard that he,

1:54:33

that a lot of people just go

1:54:35

to the ends of the earth to defend

1:54:37

his good name, I guess. And

1:54:39

this is what set it off. This

1:54:41

is not even that bad. I

1:54:44

said, if there's one word to some offense

1:54:46

or so, whether it's describing how he wrote

1:54:48

wrestling or how he generally acts in life,

1:54:50

it's juvenile. Keep living that

1:54:52

Christian life, you insufferable fraud. That

1:54:55

was the original tweet. That's what

1:54:57

I wrote. And

1:54:59

people went

1:55:02

ballistic. And

1:55:06

then later on, about an hour later, I

1:55:08

said, I'll give you this, Vince. A few

1:55:11

mentions in a retweet, and your army of

1:55:13

low IQ minions have filled up my mentions

1:55:15

on Q. You've got that going for you.

1:55:19

And then we went, yeah, and then I'm going

1:55:21

through my timeline. Then I got into people

1:55:23

who are... Who are claiming

1:55:25

that I? My last

1:55:27

name was not my actual name, which is

1:55:30

a new one No one's done that yet. You

1:55:32

know, I figured with the last name McMahon

1:55:34

I'd get some jabs for you know hosting a

1:55:36

wrestling podcast and everything and Having the last

1:55:38

name McMahon and they've come at times and

1:55:40

they've been funny. I've never had anyone go. That's

1:55:42

not really your name. Oh

1:55:44

So that was do

1:55:47

that was new Man Yes

1:55:49

on for a while

1:55:51

I'm just going through it

1:55:53

now. Then I started

1:55:55

retweeting all of them and like

1:55:58

the retweet where you can put

1:56:00

a comment above it and I

1:56:02

just started doing it. I started

1:56:04

replying to everybody's responses with just

1:56:06

the praying hands emoji. So

1:56:09

I wasn't exactly making it go

1:56:11

away. I can also point that out.

1:56:14

I was egging them on. A

1:56:16

little bit of trolling going on. Just a

1:56:18

little bit. Yeah, but I've been holed up

1:56:21

in my house for six weeks and it

1:56:23

was a Saturday afternoon and I was getting

1:56:25

aggravated for not being able to go anywhere.

1:56:28

But I was having some fun with them too. Yeah,

1:56:31

I'm looking here. I responded to a

1:56:33

lot of these brain hands emojis. Yeah,

1:56:38

I Don't know it's so weird.

1:56:40

I wish things that I really

1:56:42

do ever. I really wish he

1:56:44

was more able to laugh at

1:56:46

himself and have a good time

1:56:48

and He's just ostracized himself from

1:56:50

everything due to weirdly defending and

1:56:52

being stubborn And playing the

1:56:55

victim for 20 some years. This is

1:56:57

one of the good ones. Somebody replied

1:56:59

with please stop writing about wrestling. You

1:57:01

clearly have no grasp on it or

1:57:03

respect for those who have actually made

1:57:05

contributions in the business like Vince Russo.

1:57:07

That aside, you also appear to be

1:57:09

a miserable, horrible human being. Seek help.

1:57:12

Holy crap. And I

1:57:14

replied with with the praying

1:57:16

hands emoji. Oh,

1:57:22

that was another, was the other thing. There was

1:57:24

another guy who kept telling me I wanted to

1:57:26

smell people's farts. That's

1:57:28

a weird one. Yeah. Yeah.

1:57:30

Every time. Like he replied to me

1:57:32

and tagged Vince Russo and at every

1:57:34

time with like, don't worry about this

1:57:36

guy Vince. He just wants to, um, cause

1:57:39

it was, again, I was, I was talking about

1:57:41

how he was ripping Bruce for no reason. He was

1:57:43

like, this guy was like, he just wants to

1:57:45

smell Bruce Mitchell's farts. And I was like, that's a

1:57:47

weird thing to say. And then

1:57:49

a couple of minutes later, he would reply to something else

1:57:51

saying the same thing. I'm like, why is this guy? What

1:57:54

smell? Am I missing something here? So I just,

1:57:56

I was like, you, you seem to be, uh,

1:57:58

as a dude, every time you pop up in

1:58:00

one of my mentions, it has to do with

1:58:02

someone with me smelling someone's farts. You might want

1:58:04

to get help or seek some help for that.

1:58:06

I'm worried about you. And then he blocked me.

1:58:09

Oh, that was it. You started

1:58:12

out by your, your first tweet was

1:58:14

about how Vincer. So it was

1:58:16

juvenile. Again.

1:58:20

No, there's just a little bit of proxies there, just a little

1:58:22

bit. Well, like

1:58:25

the joys of Twitter. Yeah,

1:58:29

a lot of these, I'm looking at now, a

1:58:31

lot of these that I replied to the original

1:58:33

tweets were gone. It says I can't, they're unavailable,

1:58:35

probably because people blocked me. But I

1:58:37

kept replying to them with Praying Hands

1:58:39

emojis. That was my go -to response, was

1:58:41

just Praying Hands emoji over and over again.

1:58:45

So that was my Saturday

1:58:47

afternoon. Sounds pretty enjoyable. Yeah,

1:58:49

and then I wanted a bike

1:58:51

ride with my kids and we

1:58:54

drove around on a bike path

1:58:56

and just That blew off some

1:58:58

steam I felt okay. Yeah, no

1:59:00

understandable But even tweeted with bro

1:59:02

like I had a lot of

1:59:04

tweets like a lot of people

1:59:06

were even responding with bro and

1:59:08

the tweets which was like I

1:59:10

Guess stays on brand Wonder if

1:59:12

they do that. Oh that

1:59:15

is strange The

1:59:17

whole thing is very strange. It

1:59:21

is. I mean, it was 22

1:59:23

years ago. Yeah.

1:59:26

21 years. Yeah. Yep.

1:59:30

Yep. And

1:59:32

because of this story, wow,

1:59:35

we're pushing two hours. An hour and 50 minutes. This

1:59:37

has got to be up there as one of the longest

1:59:39

ones we've ever done. This has got

1:59:41

to be a top five. Yeah, for sure. For

1:59:44

sure. I don't think we've ever gone this long before. It

1:59:47

is due to Vince Rousseau and

1:59:49

then what was the long? Wow,

1:59:52

my mind is 90 had so many

1:59:54

tangents. We had the laundry football league

1:59:57

tangent on a football league. Yes. There's

1:59:59

a couple of other ones, too. I

2:00:02

don't know. Oh, CDs

2:00:04

CDs. Yeah. We

2:00:06

had a couple of we had some like

2:00:08

legendary tangents this episode, which is why

2:00:11

it's almost two hours long with commercials and

2:00:13

spots. It'll be over two hours. And

2:00:15

last week was one of our shortest ones

2:00:17

that it was like 15 minutes. I

2:00:19

guess it was other talk about. I

2:00:21

got nothing. We said that as the show started,

2:00:24

we were like, this is not to be very long

2:00:26

because there's not much to talk about. We

2:00:29

should, yeah, we should have said done CDs.

2:00:31

Yes. I'm

2:00:34

going to give it some time. Absolutely.

2:00:37

All right. Well, on that note, I think it is

2:00:39

time to finish things up because I'm getting hungry.

2:00:41

I need to eat something. I am the same. Craving

2:00:44

some cereal. Yes. Where

2:00:46

can people find you on the

2:00:48

internet that they don't need dial -up

2:00:50

for anymore? Is anyone still

2:00:52

on dial -up? That's gotta be gone,

2:00:54

right? There's gotta be

2:00:56

somebody or like different

2:00:58

third -world countries, maybe? Maybe.

2:01:02

It's gotta be something. I guess, like,

2:01:04

I just can't imagine anyone now would be having

2:01:06

to... How would you even get on with dial

2:01:08

-up connect? That's true. Maybe it wouldn't even work. Like,

2:01:11

does Netgear still around? Gosh,

2:01:14

that's a good question. I know AOL isn't

2:01:16

like I wonder if Netgear is still around.

2:01:20

I don't know. So I don't want to

2:01:22

go. I don't want to go off on

2:01:24

any other standards. Where can people find you

2:01:26

elsewhere on the Internet? If

2:01:49

2:01:51

brain hands emojis. That's my go -to But

2:01:53

yeah, you can tell me how stupid I

2:01:55

am on Twitter a lot of people do

2:01:57

and I'm generally pretty nice, but sometimes I

2:01:59

get angry and I just will pray for

2:02:11

don't know. Maybe that was just a misspoken

2:02:13

thing by John Moxley and his video package.

2:02:15

Or maybe they will be live. We don't

2:02:17

know. We'll find out. And we'll talk

about everything else that happens between now and then
