All right, Wes, this is

0:06

my boy Jack. Hi Hey

0:09

Jack, how are you? Good

0:11

What you got going on

0:13

today? Just one in my game.

0:15

Oh nice. Do you play

0:17

Xbox or computer or the

0:20

phone? Uh phone. Yeah, I've

0:22

kind of moved over to

0:25

phone games as well. It

0:27

seems like guys your age

0:29

destroy me and call of

0:31

duty on the Xbox. It

0:33

really is a pleasure to

0:36

meet you Jack. You too.

0:38

Let me ask you, what

0:40

do you think Bigfoot is?

0:42

I think it's like, it got

0:45

stuck in the illusion between

0:47

cavemen and apes. Yeah, that's

0:49

a great answer Jack. A

0:52

lot of people say that.

0:54

They'll say it was somewhere

0:56

between a man and an

0:59

animal or an ape as

1:01

far as what they've seen.

1:03

If you had the chance,

1:06

would you ever want to

1:08

see one? Maybe, maybe

1:10

not. That's quite possibly

1:13

the greatest non-answer I've

1:15

ever heard. Do you

1:18

have a favorite episode?

1:20

It's a hard one.

1:23

Probably one of my favorites

1:25

is I forgot the name

1:27

of it, but it was

1:30

when the house was... There

1:32

and this dude went too,

1:35

but it got destroyed four

1:37

years ago. Oh yeah, 1139

1:39

withdrew. That one scared me.

1:42

Did it scare you? Kind

1:44

of. Man, what's it take

1:46

to impress you? I'll tell

1:49

you what Jack. I'll put

1:51

you in my intro. Do

1:53

you want to say this

1:55

is Jack and you're listening

1:58

to Sasquatch Chronicles? Yes. This

2:01

is Jack and you're

2:03

listening to Sasquatch Chronicles.

2:06

That was perfect Jack

2:08

and I'll put you in

2:11

the intro if it's okay with

2:13

you. Yes. This is one of

2:15

my biggest dreams to be

2:18

on your show. It looks

2:20

like somebody was bent over

2:22

and had their head in

2:24

the window of the deer

2:26

blind and... It either heard

2:29

me or smelled me

2:31

and he pulled his

2:34

head out of the

2:36

tent and stood straight

2:39

up and that

2:41

shocked me. They

2:43

don't make people

2:45

that big. The way

2:47

it moved. Almost

2:49

as if it was

2:52

gliding across the

2:54

beach. I've never

2:56

seen anything move like that

2:58

in my life. They were

3:00

screaming at each other in

3:02

gibberish. It sounded like a

3:04

language and they were

3:06

chuttering away back and forwards,

3:09

back and forwards, back and

3:11

forwards. I know what a bear

3:13

looks like and there is no

3:15

way on this planet but what

3:18

I saw bears. 9

3:31

-1, what are you reporting? Deezus

3:33

Christ, you better... Sir? See ya!

3:36

Hello? Get somebody out here.

3:39

What's going on now, sir? son

3:41

of a bitch is about 6... is Jack

3:45

and

3:47

you're

3:50

listening

3:52

to

3:55

Sasquarch

3:57

Chronicles.

4:28

Welcome to the show everyone.

4:30

Thanks for being here tonight. Got

4:32

a great show planned for you.

4:34

I will be chatting with Wes

4:36

and Wes comes to us from

4:38

Wisconsin and back in the late

4:40

90s he had this very strange

4:42

encounter when they went up to

4:45

this old run-down mansion and I'll

4:47

kind of let Wes go into

4:49

it. If you've had an encounter

4:51

and you'd like to be on

4:53

the show, shoot me an email.

4:55

My email address is Wes

4:57

at... sasquatchchronicals.com and if you

5:00

get a chance check out

5:02

sasquatchchronicals.com you can become a

5:04

member and get additional shows.

5:07

Let's jump into it tonight.

5:09

Wes, we finally meet. Good

5:11

to meet you, Wes. Yeah,

5:14

it's good to meet you

5:16

Wes. I haven't met too

5:18

many Wes's in my life.

5:21

Is your full name Wesley?

5:23

No, it's Weston. Oh, you

5:25

lucked out, man. No, no, I don't

5:27

I don't agree I was always

5:30

envious of the Wesley's

5:32

But you know west of

5:34

western means west of town,

5:36

so there's no significance there

5:38

at all Yeah, the whole

5:40

Wesley thing was a weapon

5:43

my mother used when I

5:45

knew I was in deep

5:47

duty, you know, I knew

5:49

I was in trouble When

5:51

she'd start throwing that name

5:53

around And it's probably something

5:56

I deserved at the time,

5:58

but it's, uh, anyway. You know

6:00

you had this encounter happen

6:02

to you back in the

6:04

late 90s out there in

6:07

Wisconsin. If you would take

6:09

me back to that moment

6:11

what were you guys doing

6:13

and what happened? Okay sure

6:15

yeah it was another boring night

6:17

I was in my late 18-19-20

6:20

you know just kind of hanging

6:22

out and I was bored and

6:24

normally you know we in that

6:27

time frame. There's no school, so

6:29

we're always kind of partying and

6:31

I decided to go to my

6:34

buddy's place and we're all kind

6:36

of just sitting around watching TV.

6:38

I think we were playing golden

6:41

eyes, a matter of fact, and

6:43

we were just literally just dying

6:45

aboard them and we never did

6:48

anything fun together. We always kind

6:50

of just did the same old

6:52

thing and One of my friends

6:55

kind of yelled out, he's like,

6:57

well, let's go do something that's

6:59

more interesting than playing video games.

7:02

And I'm like, what else is

7:04

there? I mean, we're in the

7:06

middle of nowhere. All around here

7:09

is farms and, you know, bars.

7:11

And we can't go into the

7:13

bars. And no funny note farm

7:16

and one of the guys is

7:18

like, let's go check out the

7:20

Columbia Mansion. And we've heard stories

7:23

repetitively from our other friends, talk

7:25

about how haunted it is. And

7:27

apparently it's this mansion about 40

7:30

minutes from where we were, which

7:32

was Marshfield, Wisconsin. And I'm like,

7:34

we're not doing anything anyway. It's

7:37

midnight. What the hell. You know,

7:39

and so we all kind of

7:41

agreed and. Let's just go check

7:44

it out and the main driver

7:46

the guy that that suggested it

7:48

had an idea of where to

7:51

go and we all knew it

7:53

was out by this town called

7:55

Newsville, but we didn't know where

7:58

he luckily had more of an

8:00

understanding of where it was. And

8:02

so we jumped in his car

8:05

and took off and headed, you

8:07

know, just for an adventure. And

8:09

we drove about 40 minutes or

8:12

so. And by the time we'd

8:14

gotten there, it is like 1,

8:16

1.30. And we were still wandering

8:19

aimlessly trying to find what there's

8:21

Columbia Mansion, which is the Haunted

8:23

Mansion. And then there's another part

8:26

of it called the Baby Grave.

8:28

and the baby grave is supposedly

8:30

where this young child was accidentally

8:33

killed or accidentally run over I

8:35

don't know the story but supposedly

8:37

you can go to this grave

8:40

and you can hear the baby

8:42

crying not exactly sure why I

8:44

didn't but you want to do

8:47

that but you know curiosity killed

8:49

the cat and so That's what

8:51

we did. And we were looking

8:54

and looking and looking and we

8:56

must have looked for over an

8:58

hour trying to find this place.

9:01

And all that marked it was

9:03

a big metal cross about four

9:05

feet high. And it was kind

9:08

of like a cul-de-sac, but in

9:10

the middle of the forest. And

9:12

we're in the Jackson County State

9:15

Forest too. And so it's heavily

9:17

wooded. And there's so many side

9:19

roads. that we were you know

9:22

you could literally drive forever and

9:24

never find the end of it

9:26

and we finally were just overwhelmed

9:29

with trying to find this place

9:31

that we were about to just

9:33

give up and now we're at

9:36

the point of just like where

9:38

do we go and how do

9:40

we get out of here and

9:43

at that particular moment we came

9:45

around the corner and long behold

9:47

there's this beautiful iron gate about

9:50

20 feet tall standing, you know,

9:52

tall and proud, right about 20

9:54

feet from the side of the

9:57

road. And big... orange glowing bulb

9:59

on it and we're like oh

10:01

wow we don't look at this

10:04

and we kind of slow down

10:06

because now we just want to

10:08

get get out of there and

10:11

get directions back to them the

10:13

highway and so I kind of

10:15

like I don't know how I

10:18

became the voice of reason nobody

10:20

ever listened to me but I

10:22

was just like guys maybe we

10:25

should stop and ask and you

10:27

know kind of agreed and we're

10:29

like okay you know and we

10:32

look or we we kind of

10:34

look at this gate and it's

10:36

beautiful and it's beautiful It's very

10:39

immaculate and behind it was this

10:41

old I want to say it's

10:43

a mansion but it wasn't it

10:46

was a barn style almost like

10:48

a regular barn converted into a

10:50

large home and I was just

10:53

wow you know it's gorgeous and

10:55

there's a porch and there's a

10:57

light on it and we could

11:00

see somebody moving around in what

11:02

I assume was a kitchen and

11:04

so My two buddies and one's

11:07

in front, Sean and D.J. They

11:09

didn't want nothing to do with

11:11

that. They're like, no way, you

11:14

know. So me and my friend

11:16

Sean Dawson were in the back

11:18

and we're always more of the

11:21

adventurous type. So I was like,

11:23

well, I guess I'll go on

11:25

asking Sean Dawson. He was like,

11:28

yeah, okay, you know, I'll come

11:30

with you. And so we kind

11:32

of walk over there and the

11:35

gate we could barely, we just

11:37

barely squeeze through it. I mean

11:39

it was only about eight inches

11:42

of eight inches of. leeway to

11:44

get between that gate and luckily

11:46

we were skinnier back in the

11:48

day, but we got through and

11:51

we got up to the, it

11:53

was just a simple porch, three

11:55

steps up and then there was

11:58

a patio door and a regular

12:00

door and regular insulated door and

12:02

then it was, well, it was

12:05

like a kitchen. And as I

12:07

walked up to the staircase, the

12:09

porch I immediately felt something that

12:12

was off. I don't know what

12:14

it was. I don't understand why

12:16

I felt anything, because I was

12:19

just going to knock on a

12:21

door, but we, I knocked on

12:23

the door and, you know, a

12:26

minute later, the inside door opens

12:28

and then the outside door opens

12:30

and then the outside door opens

12:33

and I step back and here

12:35

is probably the oldest woman I've

12:37

ever seen in my life standing

12:40

there looking at me, looking up

12:42

at me and I'm only five

12:44

eight. So she must have been

12:47

like four foot of 11. She

12:49

was petite and she had wispy

12:51

white hair, real light, real thin,

12:54

fading or blowing in the slight

12:56

breeze. I mean she was very

12:58

old and she was wearing a

13:01

very dark garment reminiscent of what

13:03

you see in pictures in the

13:05

1880s and I was kind of

13:08

taken back by that, but then

13:10

she started talking and that's what

13:12

even made it weirder. She's like,

13:15

you know, how can I help

13:17

you boys? And I'm like, that

13:19

was weird. Okay, I'm like, ma'am,

13:22

I apologize. It's very late. Me

13:24

and my friends just want to,

13:26

you know, find a ride or

13:29

find a way back to the

13:31

highway. And she, I wish I

13:33

could remember everything she said, but

13:36

it was so... beyond what we

13:38

would expect. Like, she was speaking

13:40

in a ton that you will

13:43

don't, you won't, you won't, you

13:45

won't hear. It was just like,

13:47

she said something to the effect

13:50

of like, I know nothing of

13:52

a highway or what a highway

13:54

is, but I can give you

13:57

directions on, you know, with the

13:59

wagon trails in the area. And

14:01

wagon trails. threw me off as

14:04

well. I was like, why would

14:06

she say wagon trails? And I

14:08

kind of side-eyed my buddy and

14:11

he's looking at me confused. And

14:13

then she... She was as we

14:15

were kind of conversating, she kind

14:18

of eyed me up and down

14:20

and she's like, where does one

14:22

get such shoes? And you know,

14:25

pants or slacks, she got in

14:27

slacks. And I was like, at

14:29

the store. She's like, I know

14:32

of no such store that sells

14:34

those items. And I'm like. I

14:36

go, well, yeah, they're everywhere, you

14:39

know, and I really didn't know

14:41

what to, how to react to

14:43

this. So then, the more she

14:46

was interested in what we were

14:48

wearing, the more she, the more

14:50

questions she asked, the more of

14:53

a vibe I got that something

14:55

was really off. And I don't,

14:57

I really didn't know what I

15:00

was speaking to. got to direction

15:02

she she literally described these roads

15:04

as wagon trails follow this wagon

15:07

trail to this wagon trail turn

15:09

right here and you know and

15:11

I'm like are these wagon trails

15:14

so I don't know is it

15:16

is a road a wagon trail

15:18

so I got done talking to

15:21

her and my buddy you could

15:23

see that he was just kind

15:25

of in shock I thanked her

15:28

for her time, I thanked her

15:30

for the directions. She didn't say

15:32

anything in return, she just shut

15:35

the door and walked away. And

15:37

oh, another thing, oh, one other

15:39

thing that she was doing, that

15:42

she was holding, was a plate,

15:44

but it had a candle. There

15:46

wasn't no lights there was no

15:49

electricity I couldn't see any electrical

15:51

lights on at all but she

15:53

was holding a plate with a

15:56

candle on it the whole time

15:58

we spoke and that was really

16:00

odd as well I kind of

16:03

thought well maybe the power went

16:05

on or something but there was

16:07

a light above the gate and

16:10

the light above the deck or

16:12

the the porch there but I

16:14

think you're all gas honestly and

16:17

so I get down we go

16:19

to the car and we kind

16:21

of are in I just baffled

16:24

and Sean Dawson he kind of

16:26

looks at me and he's like

16:28

you know What just happened? And

16:31

I kind of was like the

16:33

same thing with him. I'm like,

16:35

I don't understand what we just

16:38

went through. Why was she like

16:40

this? Why did she talk like

16:42

that? Why did she describe roads

16:45

as wagon trails? And it was

16:47

really odd. So our buddies were

16:49

kind of like pestering us like,

16:52

what the hell just happened? What

16:54

happened to you guys? Why are

16:56

you so shaken? Why are you

16:59

so freaked out? And we weren't

17:01

really giving them the time of

17:03

day because we were just kind

17:06

of trying to process to process

17:08

it. After about a minute of

17:10

them baraging us with questions, my

17:13

buddy Dawson was like, just guys

17:15

back up, turn around, take a

17:17

left onto the road. So they

17:20

did. We followed these, you know,

17:22

in air quotes, these wagon trails

17:24

were roads for us, and we

17:27

did end up getting to the

17:29

baby grave. And another thing she

17:31

said was. It will take you

17:34

to a town called Columbia, but

17:36

we're on a road called Columbia

17:38

Road. So that did kind of

17:41

play into it. That was like,

17:43

okay, well, maybe there is a

17:45

few buildings off. We never knew

17:48

anything about it. We just knew

17:50

about Columbia Mansion and Columbia Road.

17:52

But we got, we ended up

17:55

at this cul-de-sac with this white

17:57

metal cross, and we just kind

17:59

of got out, and we just

18:02

smoked cigarettes. drank beer and just

18:04

kind of bullshit for about three

18:06

minutes. And then we heard it.

18:09

And it was the most disturbing

18:11

thing I've ever heard of my

18:13

life. And I have children. So

18:16

whenever I hear a baby cry,

18:18

I think of this, but it

18:20

was, it started quiet and it

18:23

was kind of haunting immediately. It

18:25

was like a whimper in the

18:27

woods and then it progressively got

18:30

louder and then it got louder

18:32

and it was surrounding us and

18:34

it was a baby, if you

18:37

ever heard a baby screaming at

18:39

the top of its lungs from

18:41

sheer pain and torment. That's what

18:43

it was and it was non-stop

18:46

and it was so loud and

18:48

deafening that we all all four

18:50

of us 19 20 year old

18:53

guys that don't cry at anything

18:55

were balling It was so horrific

18:57

like I can't yeah, I'll never

19:00

get out of my head. You

19:02

know every time I hear one

19:04

of my kids cry it takes

19:07

me back to that time so

19:09

we jumped in the car And

19:11

we took off, just freaking, got

19:14

the hell out of there as

19:16

fast as we could. Turned and

19:18

went the same direction we came

19:21

from. And we knew where the

19:23

house was going to be coming

19:25

up and we came around the

19:28

corner and that's when everything just

19:30

kind of fell apart. We were

19:32

just utterly bewildered. We looked here,

19:35

we came around the corner. I

19:37

expected the glowing light above the

19:39

gate to be shining. and it

19:42

wasn't. The gate itself was rusty,

19:44

now hanging off its hinges. The

19:46

yard previously had looked well maintained,

19:49

well manicured. The house looked relatively

19:51

well taken care of, new paint.

19:53

None of that was what it

19:56

was anymore. It was all dilapidated.

19:58

The whole half of the house

20:00

is collapsed. There is a tree

20:03

growing through spot rivers. where I

20:05

was standing, a tree the size

20:07

of, you know, 12 inches in

20:10

diameter was growing. The lamp that

20:12

was over my head on the

20:14

porch was now hanging down. It

20:17

had aged 100 years in about

20:19

20 minutes. And we were just

20:21

kind of stopped and we all

20:24

were just bewildered. And I've never

20:26

told us anybody. I've told me

20:28

my kids. But this is like

20:31

something that I haven't even spoken

20:33

out loud in years and it

20:35

just it felt like we had

20:38

entered some kind of paranormal dream

20:40

like maybe it wasn't real. It

20:42

was just so hard to process

20:45

and to comprehend. We watched we

20:47

just kind of stood there, you

20:49

know, we didn't stay I mean

20:52

we were sitting in the car,

20:54

but we We were stopped in

20:56

the middle of the road middle

20:59

of a gravel road looking at

21:01

this what was new 20 minutes

21:03

ago is now You know dilapidated

21:06

and falling apart and we couldn't

21:08

process we couldn't think of what

21:10

just happened We never had none

21:13

of us have ever had any

21:15

paranormal experience before this as far

21:17

as I know and Me and

21:20

myself, I've always been interested in

21:22

it, but I've never experienced it

21:24

until now. And I didn't handle

21:27

it well. You know, I think

21:29

I had a minor panic attack

21:31

and I kept asking what was

21:34

happening, why was this happening, what

21:36

is happening? And we all kind

21:38

of started arguing with each other

21:41

and like, is this the right

21:43

house? This can't be the right

21:45

house. There's no way this is

21:48

the same house. We were just

21:50

here, you know, this was new.

21:52

We parked in the driveway, we

21:55

couldn't even park in the driveway.

21:57

There were briar bushes, seven feet.

21:59

tall. I mean, and if you've

22:02

ever seen a briar bush, you

22:04

can't get through that stuff. The

22:06

fence itself literally was hanging 45

22:09

degrees off, or not the fence,

22:11

but the gate was hanging 45

22:13

degrees off, it's hinge. You know,

22:16

there is, the worst part about

22:18

everything, about all of this, was

22:20

you can still see somebody walking

22:23

around in the kitchen holding a

22:25

candle. And that's what,

22:27

because we had been sitting there

22:30

for about a minute and a

22:32

half, not expecting anything else to

22:34

happen, not expecting any more surprises,

22:37

and then out of nowhere from

22:39

the corner, we watched her walk

22:41

from one wall to another. And

22:44

we're only maybe 80 feet from

22:46

the road to the, the, the

22:49

kitchen, and that's when we knew

22:51

like, okay, well, this is a

22:53

ghost. Let's get the hell out

22:56

of here. You know, so we

22:58

took off. Honestly, God, we none

23:00

of us ever said a word

23:03

to each other almost all the

23:05

way home, except for like maybe

23:08

I had to stop and go

23:10

to the bathroom or something like

23:12

that. A couple of us were

23:15

crying. I'm not going to say

23:17

who. But it really affected us.

23:19

We all blew our separate ways

23:22

and we never spoke again after

23:24

that night. And that's what happened.

23:27

Yeah, that's creepy man. I, um...

23:29

I know I just had drew

23:31

on episode 1139. That's what inspired

23:34

me to come on. Yeah, and

23:36

I've been getting a lot of

23:38

these type of accounts lately ever

23:41

since I had drew on. And

23:43

I've read about accounts like this

23:46

before, but rarely do you ever

23:48

get a chance to talk to

23:50

someone who was actually there. When

23:53

you were actually talking to the

23:55

old woman, there was nothing really...

23:57

strange about her in the sense

24:00

of obviously she was strange the

24:02

way she spoke the way she

24:05

was dressed and everything else but

24:07

you didn't get the impression that

24:09

she was a ghost or anything

24:12

like that, you were thinking you

24:14

were talking to an older woman?

24:16

It was like talking to my

24:19

grandma. Honestly, God, she was solid

24:21

form, no transparency, no weirdness except

24:24

for her voice or her speech.

24:26

Yeah, in your email you described

24:28

it as kind of that old

24:31

English way of speaking. Yeah, that

24:33

was our first clue. And it

24:35

got worse after that. And so

24:38

you guys get to the grave

24:40

site that you were looking for.

24:43

Where was the noise of the

24:45

baby crying coming from? Everywhere. All

24:47

around us. We had, it was

24:50

literally, we're in the middle of

24:52

a, uh, Tony, State Forest, Jackson,

24:54

State Forest, Jackson, I don't remember.

24:57

Anyway, it was Jackson, something for

24:59

us, and... It is solid woods

25:02

out there. And if you ever

25:04

been Wisconsin, our woods are thick.

25:06

And they're practically impenetrable at places.

25:09

And yeah, it was everywhere. It

25:11

was so weird. It didn't come

25:13

in one particular spot. It just

25:16

surrounded us. So strange, the old

25:18

woman at the house and how

25:21

the home appeared to you. Did

25:23

you ever research that home? or

25:25

even try and figure out who

25:28

that old woman might have been

25:30

at one time? I did. One

25:32

of my friends I went to

25:35

school with, it was weird because

25:37

she, I don't know how she

25:40

heard about my story, unless one

25:42

of the other guys mentioned it

25:44

and she got wind of it,

25:47

but it turns out that her

25:49

mom grew up just down the

25:51

road from there. So apparently they

25:54

lived on a real long driveway.

25:56

And we, I guess we probably

25:59

passed it, not even realized. that

26:01

one of our friends was just

26:03

on the road from us. But

26:06

she told me that her mom

26:08

had experienced the same thing. Oh,

26:10

as far as running into the

26:13

old woman? Yeah. Yeah, it's weird,

26:15

man. I know in your email

26:18

you had written about, you know,

26:20

you felt like it was some

26:22

weird time slip, but I mean,

26:25

what do you think was actually

26:27

going on there? I wish I

26:29

knew. I mean, that's, I've heard

26:32

many stories similar to mine. And

26:34

we, I just go a time

26:37

slip. I mean, I remember when

26:39

I stepped onto the porch and

26:41

had that feeling. I think it,

26:44

I don't know if it started

26:46

down. I couldn't though, because the

26:48

gate was new when we approached

26:51

it. Like it was a facade.

26:53

Yeah, I don't know. I'm just,

26:56

I go a time slip and

26:58

I'm, I don't know how it

27:00

starts or where it starts, but

27:03

we obviously entered it and exited

27:05

it. Have ever gone back to

27:07

the home? Never. Nope. Can't find

27:10

it. I talked to my friend

27:12

about that and that was, well,

27:15

when I discussed it with her,

27:17

it was about two years ago.

27:19

And, um... She mentioned that the

27:22

house itself is probably just a

27:24

pile of rubble now, but I've

27:26

never been back in that area.

27:29

I never really had a chance

27:31

to get back there, but other

27:34

people have told me that there's

27:36

nowhere. It's nowhere. It's nowhere. It

27:38

never was there almost. But I

27:41

don't know if that's true or

27:43

not. I'm just going off what

27:45

they say. Yeah, you know, in

27:48

these paranormal encounters. You'll find either

27:50

one of two things is going

27:53

on. Either one, it's kind of

27:55

residual. or it's interactive. And I

27:57

had Rocky Elmore on the show.

28:00

He's a retired border patrol agent.

28:02

And his partner, gosh, I can

28:04

remember the partner's name. I want

28:07

to say Officer Sanchez for some

28:09

reason. Anyway, he was up there

28:12

one night. Rocky had the night

28:14

off and this agent was actually

28:16

killed by coyotes, not the animal.

28:19

It's what they called the people

28:21

who kind of run the human

28:23

trafficking. The weird part about Rocky's

28:26

story is this officer who passed

28:28

away kept showing back up. Like

28:31

they would come across these people

28:33

on the trail just standing there

28:35

waiting and the Border Patrol agents

28:38

would come up upon them and

28:40

say, you know, what are you

28:42

guys doing? And they would say

28:45

the other Border Patrol agent told

28:47

us to wait right here. And

28:50

they're like, what other border patrol

28:52

agent? And time and time again,

28:54

they would describe this border patrol

28:57

agent who died. And there was

28:59

a major incident where a bunch

29:01

of illegals were coming across the

29:04

border, and this border patrol agent

29:06

went through, he pulled his pistol

29:09

out and started shooting at these

29:11

people. So everyone scatters, and most

29:13

of the coyotes actually go over

29:16

the cliff. because he just comes

29:18

out of the forest, gun drawn,

29:20

firing, and they're all freaked out.

29:23

They're all scared. And even the

29:25

FBI got involved in that whole

29:28

incident. And there's a write-up by

29:30

the FBI. They were looking for

29:32

this border patrol agent. They were

29:35

going to charge him and put

29:37

him in jail for shooting at

29:39

these people and running most of

29:42

them off the cliff. And it

29:44

wasn't until they found out, oh,

29:47

he died a month ago. He's

29:49

no longer here. But they took

29:51

each one of these eyewitnesses and

29:54

interviewed them and they would describe

29:56

this. agent that had passed away

29:58

a month prior. Strange man, but

30:01

there's a lot of interaction going

30:03

on there. I interviewed this, what

30:06

guy one time he had a

30:08

Sasquatch on his property and I

30:10

asked him, is there anything else

30:13

going on the property that is

30:15

odd or strange? And he described

30:18

these two little girls he would

30:20

see in the daytime and they

30:22

were dressed like they were from

30:25

the 1800s. These two little girls

30:27

and they were walking down this

30:29

trail in the direction of where

30:32

the school used to be, now

30:34

it's Apollo rubble, but and he

30:37

said they weren't, they weren't see-through.

30:39

I mean, they look like little

30:41

girls. And they were playing and

30:44

they were laughing and, you know,

30:46

doing what little kids do. And

30:48

then they would vanish. And but

30:51

he would see this over and

30:53

over and over again, almost like

30:56

a movie. He couldn't interact with

30:58

them or they wouldn't interact with

31:00

him. But it was the same

31:03

thing over and over and over

31:05

again. And I if my memory

31:07

is right, those two little girls

31:10

were murdered back in the early

31:12

1800s, late 1700s. So you know,

31:15

situations like that, it's like, man,

31:17

you know, what is it? Like

31:19

a glitch in the matrix is

31:22

the perfect way of explaining it.

31:24

Like maybe everything's a simulation. I

31:26

don't know. I don't know what

31:29

to believe anymore. I mean, I've

31:31

had so many experiences from then.

31:34

I've had, you know, a number

31:36

of paranormal experiences. And I don't

31:38

know how to, like, I listened

31:41

to podcasts, not just yours, but

31:43

other ones as well, about hauntings

31:45

and how strange everything is out

31:48

there. I mean, we live in

31:50

a very strange world. Yeah, so

31:53

strange man, you know, like You

31:55

walking out talking to the lady

31:57

Everything's very physical. It's not like

32:00

you're in a dreamland and you're

32:02

there with other people It's kind

32:04

of like Drew's encounter. I had

32:07

a lady who contacted me. She's

32:09

a businesswoman and she's talking about

32:12

this house that disappeared this rental

32:14

house and she doesn't listen to

32:16

the show but her friend did

32:19

and her friends like you got

32:21

to hear it was episode 1139

32:23

with Drew and she was telling

32:26

me about her account. We live

32:28

in a weird world man. There's

32:31

a lot of weird stuff going

32:33

on. But Brent Thomas from the

32:35

paranormal portal, I kind of brought

32:38

it up to him because I

32:40

tend to think all things are

32:42

spiritual or probably demonic and deception,

32:45

but he had brought up the

32:47

whole fact that sometimes these encounters

32:50

are residual and sometimes you can

32:52

interact with them. It's very strange.

32:54

I really appreciate sharing it. Tell

32:57

me about the... encounter you had

32:59

coming out of the woods with

33:01

a potential cryptid. Okay, can I

33:04

get my boy? Yeah, of course.

33:06

Okay, give me one second. I

33:09

kind of parked myself in the

33:11

garage so I don't get disturbed.

33:13

I had to go get him.

33:16

Hey Jack, come here. He is

33:18

so excited to talk to you.

33:20

All right, Wes, this is my

33:23

boy Jack. Hi. Hey Jack, how

33:25

are you? Good. What you got

33:28

going on today? Just one in

33:30

my game. Oh nice. Do you

33:32

play Xbox or computer or the

33:35

phone? Uh, phone. Yeah, I've kind

33:37

of moved over to phone games

33:39

as well. It seems like guys

33:42

your age destroy me and call

33:44

of duty on the Xbox. It

33:47

really is a pleasure to meet

33:49

you Jack. You too. Let me

33:51

ask you, what do you think

33:54

Bigfoot is? I think it's like...

33:56

It got stuck in the evolution

33:58

between cavemen and apes. Yeah, that's

34:01

a great answer Jack. A lot

34:03

of people say that. They'll say

34:06

it was somewhere between a man

34:08

and an animal or an ape

34:10

as far as what they've seen.

34:13

If you had the chance, would

34:15

you ever want to see one?

34:17

Maybe, maybe not. That's quite possibly

34:20

the greatest non-answer. I've ever heard.

34:22

Do you have a favorite episode?

34:25

It's a hard one. Probably one

34:27

of my favorites is I forgot

34:29

the name of it, but it

34:32

was when the house was there

34:34

and this dude went to it,

34:36

but it got destroyed four years

34:39

ago. Oh yeah, 1139 withdrew. That

34:41

one scared me. Did I scare

34:44

you? Kind of. Kind of. Man,

34:46

what's it take to impress you?

34:48

I'll tell you what Jack, I'll

34:51

put you in my intro. Do

34:53

you want to say this is

34:55

Jack and you're listening to Sasquatch

34:58

Chronicles? Yes. This is Jack and

35:00

you're listening to Sasquatch Chronicles. That

35:03

was perfect Jack and I'll put

35:05

you in the intro if it's

35:07

okay with you. Yes. This is

35:10

one of my biggest dreams to

35:12

be on your show. Well, thank

35:14

you, Jack. And I'll definitely put

35:17

you in the intro. It was

35:19

an honor having you on. You

35:22

too. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you,

35:24

Jack. It was a pleasure chatting

35:26

with you. You too. Okay, have

35:29

a good time. Thanks, brother. All

35:31

right. Okay, there we go. Okay,

35:33

so anyway. You have a great

35:36

son. Thank you. Yeah, I'm pretty

35:38

proud of him. Yeah, he was

35:41

a real, brave little dude in

35:43

the forest to tell you, tell

35:45

you the story. So you asked

35:48

about the encrypted encounter that I

35:50

possibly had. It was two years

35:52

ago. And so, okay, so I'm

35:55

recovering from where I was on

35:57

the... I was on the end

36:00

of my recovery to a major

36:02

surgery on my ankle where I

36:04

had torn my ruptured my Achilles

36:07

tendon and my posterior tendon and

36:09

so I had to get a

36:11

bunch of screws and stuff in

36:14

my foot and I was talking

36:16

to my son I'm like you

36:19

know I got to get out

36:21

I got to walk you know

36:23

to do my physical therapy and

36:26

Jack was like well let's go

36:28

squirrel hunting. And there's this forest

36:30

about 10 minutes as the crow

36:33

flies away from us that is

36:35

public. And we're like, okay, you

36:38

know, so that's what we did.

36:40

We grabbed both 22s, jumped in

36:42

the truck and headed out there,

36:45

not expecting anything remotely, you know,

36:47

weird to happen. So we get

36:49

into the woods and the woods

36:52

is weird. There's only one access

36:54

way into this forest. and it's

36:57

literally you got to walk about

36:59

a half a mile through a

37:01

swamp and then once you get

37:04

to the swamp you got to

37:06

walk another 200 yards through a

37:08

hardwood forest and then you finally

37:11

get on the main trail and

37:13

then it goes north and south

37:16

and so we got through the

37:18

swamp we got onto the main

37:20

trail and we started heading south

37:23

and it's about 800 acres of,

37:25

but then there's also surrounding forests

37:27

around it as well, public or

37:30

private forests. So it's relatively large,

37:32

there's a lot, and then it's

37:35

attached to the Oconto River. which

37:37

is really, you know, kind of

37:39

its own thing. Nobody has any

37:42

houses on it or anything like

37:44

that. It flows through the Nicolay

37:46

forest, which is millions of acres,

37:49

and it combines with this forest.

37:51

So there's a lot of land

37:54

out there, and anyway, so we're

37:56

out there, we're hiking, and we're

37:58

walking and talking, and looking for

38:01

squirrels, and it was in, I

38:03

want to say, early November, I

38:05

think. I'm not 100% sure, but

38:08

we get to the end of

38:10

the trail. We walk all the

38:13

way to the public for us

38:15

and we turn around and we

38:17

start heading back. And we get

38:20

about halfway up to where we

38:22

got a turn to go through

38:24

the swamp to get to the

38:27

truck. And I got Jack to

38:29

my left side and I'm holding,

38:32

I got my pistol and I'm

38:34

holding the rifle and I'm holding

38:36

the rifle. I hear large heavy

38:39

footsteps running towards us and it

38:41

was a it sounded like wet

38:43

feet on pavement which I don't

38:46

understand how because it was leaf

38:48

litter everywhere and that's what threw

38:51

me off I like immediately like

38:53

I heard that and I heard

38:55

it approaching and as I heard

38:58

it running up behind us I

39:00

I immediately turned and faced behind

39:02

me and I didn't see anything,

39:05

but I heard it leave the

39:07

trail and kind of crash into

39:10

the woods behind these, this grove

39:12

of small pine trees. And I'm

39:14

like, what the? And Jack was

39:17

like, what was that? And I'm

39:19

like, I don't know, you know,

39:22

and I have no idea. And

39:24

I thought maybe a person, maybe?

39:26

Because it sounded bipedal. It was

39:29

like, step, step, step, you know,

39:31

and real heavy and loud though.

39:33

And I'm like, I'm like, I'm

39:36

like, I'm like, okay. That's strange,

39:38

but then we heard breathing and

39:41

it's only about 40 feet away

39:43

from us. We hear it breathing

39:45

and it was like a old

39:48

large man that's been smoking for

39:50

40 years. I mean, it was

39:52

raspy and loud and heavy. And

39:55

I'm like, Jack, I said, I

39:57

don't know what's happening here. And

40:00

I put him behind me. I

40:02

mean, like, he was practically, you

40:04

know, wrapped around my leg. And

40:07

we hear it moving. And it's

40:09

still making this. loud heavy breathing

40:11

and I see or I'm looking

40:14

through I'm streaming my eyes to

40:16

see this thing and there isn't

40:19

that much cover I mean every

40:21

all the leaves are off the

40:23

trees these pine trees are Tamarac

40:26

so their needles are practically gone

40:28

too they're yellow and hanging off

40:30

and they're almost it's almost bare

40:33

branches and I can't see anything.

40:35

But I can I know it's

40:38

right there I can hear it

40:40

moving I can hear the leaves

40:42

cracking or crunching and tree branches

40:45

cracking and It kind of moves

40:47

about I want to say maybe

40:49

10 or 15 feet to become

40:52

parallel with us and then it

40:54

lets out this incredible fricking growl

40:57

That shook us you know Jack

40:59

was immediately tears are running on

41:01

his cheek and I for me

41:04

I was just like this isn't

41:06

happening there's no way but then

41:08

Jack confirmed it by saying dad

41:11

what just growled at us and

41:13

I was like oh my god

41:16

so this is really happening okay

41:18

what the hell are we not

41:20

seeing and so we're both stringing

41:23

our fate our eyes just You

41:25

can't see nothing, there is nothing

41:27

there, but it's moving, it's walking

41:30

40 feet away from us, maybe

41:32

a little less, probably. And it

41:35

goes from 40 to 30 to

41:37

20 pretty quickly. And then, you

41:39

know, but there's nothing there, Wes.

41:42

I don't get it. I'm literally

41:44

mind blown, you know, what, and

41:46

so I'm like looking at the

41:49

ground. Is there something crawling on

41:51

the ground, you know, nothing on

41:54

the ground? Is there something in

41:56

the tree? Maybe something's dropping something,

41:58

you know, and there's, but it

42:01

doesn't make any sense because we

42:03

can hear the footsteps. So this

42:05

happened for about two or three

42:08

minutes and it was it was

42:10

growing and breathing not like roar

42:13

but more like you know kind

42:15

of showing it seemed like hey

42:17

here I am but there's nothing

42:20

there. So me and Jack could

42:22

just keep walking down the trail

42:24

and I'm like don't run. I

42:27

said just don't run you stay

42:29

to my right because it was

42:32

to my left. You know, and

42:34

I gave him the rifle and

42:36

I had the pistol and there

42:39

are only 22s. What the hell

42:41

is that going to do? You

42:43

know, shoot any eye, I guess.

42:46

But what are you going to,

42:48

there's nothing either, what are you

42:51

going to shoot at? There's nothing

42:53

there. But it did this for

42:55

about 100 yards. It just was

42:58

right beside us and there was

43:00

never at one point. where we

43:02

saw anything ever. And we get

43:05

to where we had to turn

43:07

right to get out of the

43:10

woods. And we did. And I

43:12

practically was walking backwards the whole

43:14

time. I could hear it still.

43:17

I could hear a breathing. I

43:19

could hear, you know, I remember

43:21

I heard at one point scratching

43:24

on a tree, you know, like

43:26

it was resting on the tree

43:29

and maybe it dragged its hand

43:31

on it. I don't know. But

43:33

yeah, we walked out and we

43:36

got almost all the way to

43:38

the truck and then we hear

43:40

something It wasn't following us at

43:43

all. There was nothing, it was

43:45

gone, that was it. But then

43:48

as we got to the truck,

43:50

we heard the roar again or

43:52

the growl and it was as

43:55

loud as if it was standing

43:57

right beside us and then it

43:59

started running through the swamp towards

44:02

us, jumped in the truck and

44:04

we took off. And that was

44:07

it. You know, this is probably

44:09

the most frustrating encounter to have,

44:11

it's scary first of all, but.

44:14

I will say 80 or 90%

44:16

of everyone that has this type

44:18

of encounter, they never see it.

44:21

They never see what's actually pacing

44:23

them out. And I've had different

44:26

situations to where people will say,

44:28

you know, I shouldn't have seen

44:30

it, it should have been right

44:33

there. And then other situations where

44:35

people will be like, well, the

44:37

forest was so dense or there,

44:40

I couldn't see through the tree

44:42

leaf. But then you get rare

44:45

accounts where people will catch glimpses

44:47

of it. Yeah, and I know

44:49

this happened to you two years

44:52

ago. In those two years, have

44:54

you ever gone back? Yeah. Yep.

44:56

As a matter of fact, I

44:59

went back about two weeks later,

45:01

a local Bigfoot group came up

45:04

to research it, because I posted

45:06

it on the Wisconsin Bigfoot, Sasquatch,

45:08

whatever, and on Facebook. And they

45:11

were immediately interested, didn't find the

45:13

thing. We were out there the

45:15

entire day, and we didn't find

45:18

nothing. And then... I went back

45:20

again about a month later after

45:23

that. And no, that wouldn't have

45:25

been a month. It was probably

45:27

three months because we went out

45:30

in the springtime. And we get

45:32

out there and it was this

45:34

guy that I now do business

45:37

with. He came with me. He

45:39

was really, he loves your show

45:42

as well. We both listened to

45:44

your show. He's like, can I

45:46

just come out there with a

45:49

trail camera? And I'm like, well,

45:51

it's a public forest. I said,

45:53

you can pretty much do whatever.

45:56

you want. He's like, well, I

45:58

don't want to step on your

46:01

toes. He's like, I'm like, no,

46:03

no, I said, fine. So I

46:05

helped him, I walked him out

46:08

to where it happened. We put

46:10

a patrol camera and then we

46:12

started looking at possible signs. And,

46:15

you know, I don't know about

46:17

six structures. I'm kind of like,

46:20

maybe, but, you know, a lot

46:22

of weird shit happens in the

46:24

woods and winds blow strangely and

46:27

all that. But then we did

46:29

see something that was odd. It

46:31

was a poplar tree and it

46:34

was broken at about 10 feet

46:36

up, broken off entirely, when all

46:39

the other trees were healthy and

46:41

completely fine. But it was placed

46:43

on the trail as if to

46:46

direct whatever is on the trail,

46:48

off the trail. And then it

46:50

was also another tree, which was

46:53

weird as well, was pushed over.

46:55

Kind of making a corral on

46:58

this trail, which that was the

47:00

only weird thing that we noticed

47:02

You know as for signs, but

47:05

other than that we never saw

47:07

another than we never saw or

47:09

heard another thing and I've talked

47:12

to several people in the area

47:14

and there was a What is

47:17

that website? Well, anyway, they reported

47:19

it to the website. There was

47:21

another sighting about a couple years

47:24

before mine, that was 10 miles

47:26

north of this forest, that was

47:28

right on the O'Connell River, where

47:31

it had crossed the road in

47:33

front of this lady, and she

47:36

said, it looked like a big

47:38

man, a much bigger man than

47:40

normal, in a fur jacket, walked

47:43

across the road. And I kind

47:45

of did my own. you know

47:47

research on it and I found

47:50

out that if that Bigfoot wanted

47:52

to all it had to do

47:55

to stay unseen was walk the

47:57

river, the O'Connor River, and it

47:59

would have ended up in the

48:02

same spot I'm at. I found

48:04

I had my experience and nobody

48:06

would ever know was there. So

48:09

there is some history of that

48:11

around here, but not too much.

48:14

Yeah, like I said, it's creepy

48:16

being paced out like that because

48:18

you really feel like your life

48:21

is in danger. It's right there.

48:23

A lot of times they'll growl

48:26

at people kind of like what

48:28

it was doing to you. Sometimes

48:30

I'll throw things at people on

48:33

their way out, but the minute

48:35

you kind of leave the forest

48:37

or the canopy, generally they'll leave

48:40

you alone at that point. And

48:42

you know, it's creepy just in

48:45

the fact that most of the

48:47

time people don't even see what

48:49

it actually is. They can't zero

48:52

in on what it's actually pacing

48:54

them out. What do you think

48:56

that these creatures are? That's a

48:59

trick question right there. I couldn't

49:01

tell ya. I believe that there

49:04

is a lost lineage out there

49:06

that maybe they found a way

49:08

to live, you know, with harmony

49:11

with nature. But they're just too

49:13

smart for us. I say, I

49:15

really think it's just a large

49:18

man slash ape that's... You know

49:20

figured us all out and knows

49:23

how to avoid us. I don't

49:25

think there's too much. I know

49:27

there's a mystery in it But

49:30

I don't for me myself. I

49:32

think that's it's as simple as

49:34

that but you know who knows?

49:37

Yeah, it could be it's so

49:39

hard to know what these things

49:42

are I kind of like Jacksants

49:44

are better I uh I really

49:46

appreciate you coming on man and

49:49

sharing, you know, these two different

49:51

life experiences that being paid. out

49:53

that happens a lot that happens

49:56

to a lot of people and

49:58

most people aren't thinking Bigfoot at

50:01

the time they're just like I

50:03

don't know what it was this

50:05

the encounter with the old woman

50:08

in that house that's a strange

50:10

one you know and that and

50:12

I'm finding out that is going

50:15

on way more than I thought

50:17

it was I've been getting hit

50:20

with emails left and right with

50:22

experiences like these and I'd like

50:24

to say it surprises me, but

50:27

it really doesn't in this world

50:29

that we live in. But thank

50:31

you again for taking the time

50:34

to come on. Yeah, I appreciate

50:36

talking here and you know, good

50:39

job. Keep doing it. Thanks again,

50:41

Wes. And tomorrow night I'll be

50:43

chatting with Wayne who comes to

50:46

us from Ontario. He's a truck

50:48

driver out there and he saw

50:50

two of these creatures and they

50:53

appeared to be fighting. on the

50:55

side of the road. So who'd

50:58

be coming on to share that

51:00

account? If you've had an encounter

51:02

and you'd like to be on
