I'm annoyed that I wasted my time with this garbage. Kept waiting for something to happen and it never did. Should never have been made into a podcast
I listened to the first season … outside of the final episode that featured the Holistic Psychotherapist (which is not really part of the story of Sara), there is absolutely no reason this couldn’t have been done in 4-5 episodes, instead of 15. It is an interesting story, but it drags on … I’m not sure I would recommend it.
I really liked to listen to your podcast while working. It made the day go by so much quicker. However, I will not be listening any further. Your political views about gaslighting was so inappropriate to me. Just my opinion. Thanks, but no thanks.
I've binged listened to Season 1 - 3 so far and have loved every season. I love Tiffany's story telling it's so heart / gut wrenching what these people go through and what has happened to their lives and families because of individuals who have had some serious mental health issues. It just shows how badly it destroys not only the person closest to them but the ripple effect that it has on those around them. OMG.. please keep them coming. 5 Stars!
Just finished listening to Season 1. The story of Sara. I agree with the other reviews that say this could have been done in one or two episodes. To be honest it isn't that interesting a story. Sara ended up with a bad guy but not awful. It was nice that she had such a supportive family which a lot of abuse victims don't have. The most irritating thing was the constant laughing throughout but I suspect that's because the story wasn't really much of a story.
I couldn’t stop listening and I am so glad that Sarah shared her story. I am so utterly tired of people thinking it is trashy people who end up in abusive relationships. Somehow people need to be educated on how common this abuse is, how dangerous it is and the effect it has on so many lives. I was with my abuser for almost 5 years and didn’t even realize I was a victim. The emotional, verbal, financial and sexual abuse I endured has changed my life and I continually have people make me feel stupid for staying. I called it love. I loved that man with every part of me and thought he was broken and damaged. I thought if I just loved him enough it would get better. I was not and am not stupid. I am strong and I loved with everything I had. I loved his children and prayed with them every night. I loved him and would have done anything for him. In the end it broke my heart to leave him and I cried as I drove away and I was scared to death that he would go crazy when he found out. It has been 3 years and I am steal healing. You don’t get over abuse and you are not weak. Abuse presents itself in many ways and is not always physical. Thank you for helping to raise awareness
Well researched, great host. Interesting stories shared with compassion and empathy.
Tiffany is doing an incredible job educating her listeners through storytelling. Her podcast helped me spotting signs of manipulation in my own circles. It is important to give survivors a voice and help others suffering from trauma.
I'm listening to Season 1 / episode 1.Any person ~esp. a woman~ who has her parents choose who she days DESERVES to get a d!ck of an S/O.She says 'there's no red flags', yet the boyfriend is way to involved in her life WAYYYYYYYYY to fast. It's like I'm listening to a 13YO on his first chaperoned date talking about how great his relationship is.Further the grossness of saying how good she looks in her list of attributes?!?!?!? Grossidy gross gross. What kind of AH friends do you have when they're talking about your good looks as one of one of your positive traits?I can't listen to this anymore. It's just so pleasing to the patriarchy. And now their moving way too fast in the relationship. Only 27 minutes in, and it's super annoying.
I am grateful that Tiffany had the courage to give voice to crimes and problems that are difficult to pursue. I value Tiffany is helping us women to open our eyes to some of the risks of apparent friendships, apparent love relationships, and apparent support relationships that in reality, sometimes, are a toxic, destructive, and exploitative. More than anything, I value that Tiffany has not shied away from publishing real life stories that voice emerging crimes (Season 13 Episode Ruksana and season 12). I am a victim of persistent targeted hacking and coordinated harassment, and I have been waiting 3 years to hear a story like Ruksana's.Thank you Tiffany and every person who has shared their story through this podcast.
This podcast began as something new, unique, and important. The two most recent seasons have been poor-quality. Season 16 lacked any recognizable story-telling structure: A rambling, life-history of the host with very little through-storyline holding it together. Season 17… they are telling the story of a woman who sounds like she could have gone to court for Failure to Protect charges. So far this woman has been portrayed as a victim only, neglecting to examine the things she could and should have done better. This woman may have been the victim of an abusive man she just met, but it is irresponsible to put this story out there without the proper self-examination and self-criticism. She failed to protect her child from abuse; her status as a partial victim to this case does not absolve her of that.
I just found this podcast and I really like it. I binged the first season in one day. I’m looking forward to listening to the rest.
Honestly, I can't believe Sara fell for the Kimmy and Brian thing. But anyway, there are too many ads and production tweaking needed. The phone call interviews were ear piercing, and subsequently I had to adjust the volume constantly. The first season story was interesting but I don't think the last 3 episodes were needed. Just a bunch of girl talk that I can get on a normal workday.
Sarah got Bamboozled. In the last episode, the woman actually was intuitive enough not to engage with this guy. Kept her distance, and knew not to let this guy into her life. Sarah comes off as jealous and wants to know all the details on the other woman's affairs with this guy. Move on!
I have listened from the beginning, but this podcast has definitely went downhill. The host can't seem to get past her own ego to get her guests story across. The host has been insufferable the last few seasons and cannot wait to mention how great she is or talk about herself as if she's a saint doing the Lord's work. The last season was so disgusting. I am not sure why someone that allowed her child to be abused and murdered (knowing full well he was being abused) was allowed to have a platform to share her story. How lightly the topic was covered was a disgrace. As a parent, I could not listen and will not listen to this podcast anymore.
👎🏿 latest season was just complaining.
Just had to find dome place to say, the new format of having guests READ their stories SUCKS!! Sounds so stilted. I can't stand it. And I have lived this podcast, until now.
Totally love the stories in this Podcast. It a must listen.
Excellent podcast.. I love it!! I just wish that they could start writing part 1, part 2, part 3 etc on episodes that are gonna be more than one episode.
Enjoying this pod cast a great deal. Only up to season 5 -Nb: not sure how tiffany keeps her audience when she engages in polarising political narratives! Both your political parties have narcissistic candidates, BOTH.... and have FOR YEARS!!!! -
