I'm listening

0:23

to Star Wars

0:26

Sessions. Probably

0:28

Britain's greatest Star

0:31

Wars podcast. Absolutely

0:34

legends of

0:36

Star Wars Sessions.

0:39

Absolutely legends of

0:41

Star Wars Sessions!

0:44

This is the way, is

0:46

the way. Good

0:50

morning, afternoon or evening, wherever you

0:52

are in the galaxy and welcome

0:54

to Star Wars Sessions. Come for

0:56

the Star Wars, stay for the

0:59

sessions. My name is Matt Hudson,

1:01

aka Jabber, the HUD. And joining

1:03

me here, once again in the

1:05

cockpit of the Essex Falcon. It's

1:07

been a while, I don't know

1:09

where he's been, but I'm glad

1:11

he's back. He's the greatest Star

1:13

Wars man, fan and buddy out

1:15

there, masterly or colloquy, mate. It's

1:17

so good to have your back.

1:19

It's what? Oh no! It's soo

1:21

good! We always have a

1:23

law. You have no idea

1:26

how much I've wanted to

1:28

come back on the microphone,

1:31

chat Star Wars with my

1:33

mate. That's it. Straight up.

1:36

It's been a busy month

1:38

for me. Where are

1:40

you been? I've been

1:42

selfishly in hospital.

1:44

I had a thing come...

1:47

Sad music time. I

1:49

just had a little thing with my

1:51

crones. A lot of you might know

1:54

I've got crones disease. I had an

1:56

abscess in the same place and a

1:58

part of my time I've fishedulating crones

2:00

disease. Absa, same place in my tummy

2:03

I had a few years ago, when

2:05

in hospital, doctors thought one thing, two

2:07

weeks later, surgeons came in and went,

2:09

nah nah nah nah, just stop messing

2:12

about with this. Let's put you on

2:14

to do big boy surgery. It was

2:16

pretty scary. Some of you guys may

2:19

have seen on social media, I did

2:21

like videos and updates and stuff, but

2:23

long story short and back home. The

2:25

surgery was a success. I don't have

2:28

a stoma bag. It was called a

2:30

a reception that I had and I'm

2:32

feeling great mate. I'm actually feeling I'm

2:34

a bit tender from the scar and

2:37

and whatnot and it's been you know

2:39

it has been a tough few weeks

2:41

but the love the messages that I've

2:43

received from people and and really across

2:46

the Star Wars fandom zeitgeist has been

2:48

lovely. It's been really encouraging and I

2:50

think I said online like it's a

2:52

testament to our little slice of community

2:55

and fandom and friends that we've made.

2:57

So testament to what you mean to

2:59

them mate don't understand yourself? Yeah well

3:02

and likewise mate you've been there to

3:04

support us you know both hourly and

3:06

my missus my wife has been extraordinary

3:08

yeah I saw you and Dave last

3:11

week you popped over we had a

3:13

little huggle I've still not given it

3:15

I just remembered as well I've still

3:17

not given you the little gift I

3:20

got for you from Disneyland in California

3:22

in December. Yes, I'd actually forgot on

3:24

and as soon as you said I

3:26

still haven't given I thought I know

3:29

what he's going to say here. You

3:31

haven't. He didn't get me a little

3:33

gift from Disneyland in California. It's just

3:36

there. I can see it. I can

3:38

save it. But we just thought especially

3:40

just because of my wee scar at

3:42

the moment where I'm sitting and stuff.

3:45

We're going to have a little episode

3:47

just to catch up. We're not doing

3:49

a bandina. We're just, we're having a

3:51

chat, a bit like a pubcast, which

3:54

we are yet to do for a

3:56

little. But I know you've been, Matt,

3:58

I just want to say as well,

4:00

just quickly, sorry to enter up. Thank

4:03

you for covering, for organizing everything, doing

4:05

so, taking over a lot of the

4:07

socials while I've been away. Dave Dunn,

4:09

Emma Jenkins, Amen, Jacobs, all for coming

4:12

in, doing fantastic shows. I want to

4:14

say thank you to them as well.

4:16

Yeah, man, that's what I was going

4:19

to say is like, I'd love to

4:21

take all the credit, but I was,

4:23

I've been lucky. that if Luke hasn't

4:25

been around I've been able to call

4:28

upon the considerable talents of Emma and

4:30

Dave and for three weeks in a

4:32

row I had co-hosts with the initials

4:34

EJ which did go unnoticed by me

4:37

when I was introducing the show but

4:39

yeah thank you so much for those

4:41

guys for coming on and it's it's

4:43

real nice for me to know and

4:46

for Luke as well that if need

4:48

to be you know we can send

4:50

out the bat signal and you guys

4:52

will come calling and the what you

4:55

did. in the weeks that you were

4:57

covering was fantastic. You save my bacon

4:59

very much so, so yeah, thank you

5:02

so much for that guys. Yeah, no,

5:04

it's been, it's been lovely mate, lovely

5:06

to see and it's just great to

5:08

be back on the microphone, I'll be

5:11

honest. You've been waiting. One of the,

5:13

one of the weeks that I found

5:15

really tough, yeah. I had my brother

5:17

in law, Lucas, come down from Birmingham

5:20

to see us. And... He just started

5:22

asking, well, like, we did little health

5:24

up, I think I told you this

5:26

last week. He just started asking me

5:29

Star Wars questions, and my missus was

5:31

like, that is the most animated I've

5:33

seen Luke since he's been in hospital,

5:36

because he just started asking, gosh, about

5:38

like the last Jedi and which ones

5:40

were, and he was going, oh, which

5:42

was the one people don't like, and

5:45

I was like, well, take you well.

5:47

But it was just, it was, it

5:49

was fantastic. And yeah, all I've got

5:51

to say is man, I love Star

5:54

Wars. It's such a lovely piece of

5:56

escapism. It's fun, ain't it? And we,

5:58

what we always say, we don't love

6:00

all of it, but we're here. talk

6:03

about it all and that's we'll all

6:05

only ever be honest but we'll have

6:07

a smile on our face as we

6:09

do it. I was just remembering the

6:12

kebab we had at your house last

6:14

week really nice kebab that was yeah

6:16

shish. I don't want people thinking he's

6:19

just that surgery on his stomach and

6:21

he's like smashing the donna like the

6:23

shavings. I'm like yeah we did have

6:25

to look like what we'd we get

6:28

Dave and Dave and myself. And of

6:30

course Luke's wife, I kind of, well,

6:32

kind of depends more on you. Because

6:34

it's like, let's get you a foul

6:37

or something. See how you get on

6:39

with that, big boy. I was like,

6:41

I'll be, I'll level with you guys.

6:43

There's like three things I can order

6:46

right now. And one of them is

6:48

just chargrilled chicken and pitter and rice.

6:50

And no, no, it was delicious. It

6:53

was a good meal. And we went

6:55

to watch and or like I had

6:57

on my. on my telly and or

6:59

loaded up for us to watch. For

7:02

like. three hours? Yeah, and we

7:04

talked and then we decided to

7:06

have a little gossip and a

7:08

moan about something and that was

7:10

it and the boys were here.

7:12

Trees were shot on a school

7:15

night. They were here till midnight

7:17

and then Dave. Were you here

7:19

when Dave went home or did

7:21

you leave before Dave? No, I

7:23

left him Dave and all like

7:25

I'm still, my ears are still

7:28

ringing if that's what you're going

7:30

to say. I was like, I

7:32

think I was in the kitchen.

7:34

Which is at the back, and

7:36

at the front, I live in

7:38

a, yeah, like a, my living

7:40

room faces the front, right? And

7:43

Dave's car's there, and I'm like,

7:45

all I hear is this explosion.

7:47

I was like, hang on, hang

7:49

on, what's this, this, this, this,

7:51

this, this, this, there aren't an

7:53

attack going on, is there, Russia

7:56

haven't, suddenly, go right? That's in

7:58

that art too. the back. That's

8:00

right that's more like it Matt

8:02

thank you. Yeah just he's got

8:04

the stang and he's got a

8:06

Mustang and he just like raved

8:08

it he's I'm really sorry that's

8:11

just the way it sounds when

8:13

it starts up and it's cold

8:15

and I thought oh brilliant beautiful

8:17

sounding car but I was getting

8:19

into my much less extravagant vehicle

8:21

and the Davy boy Unleash this

8:24

beast and I remember I just

8:26

looked at him like man it's

8:28

like 10 past 12 and I

8:30

can't even begin my voice won't

8:32

go deep enough to give you

8:34

the growl of that engine but

8:36

hey look it's an impressive car

8:39

so it's a car that befits

8:41

the owner absolutely but I think

8:43

I've got home about half 12

8:45

and I've got to go a

8:47

bit I'm cained my face hurts

8:49

from smiling we all had a

8:51

little cry because we all miss

8:54

Luke it's lovely Michael Cained. Michael

8:56

Cained. My name is yeah. I'm

8:58

glad I'm glad that you're back

9:00

then mate. I genuinely am. I've

9:02

had such a good time with

9:04

my replacement co-host for the last

9:07

few weeks. I'm so glad you're

9:09

back mate. I know you're glad.

9:11

Let's stop this eulodising mate. Let's

9:13

talk about some Star Wars because

9:15

I know you have got some

9:17

points you want to talk about

9:19

or rays. Right, okay so... Last

9:22

night, not last night, night before,

9:24

watched ET for the first time

9:26

in years. Like, years and years

9:28

and years and years. Is this

9:30

post-skeleton crew kind of? Oh, I

9:32

feel like watching ET or... I

9:35

think, yeah, a little bit of

9:37

that. A little bit of that.

9:39

And it is, it is ridiculously

9:41

on the nose when you watch

9:43

it. You're like, wow, you know,

9:45

but skeleton crew, what a show,

9:47

what a show, mate, I miss

9:50

it. I'm gonna rewatch that soon.

9:52

But I'd forgotten. just how hard

9:54

ET goes with the Star Wars

9:56

Easter eggs. Like it's it's like

9:58

George and Spilberg. We're like, you

10:00

know, let's let's have a joke.

10:03

And he's getting out Greido. He's

10:05

getting out Warus Man. There's a

10:07

yoda when they're going out. And

10:09

there's, there's just so much. Kathy

10:11

Kennedy's a producer. It's, it's ridiculous.

10:13

It's kind of ridiculous. I loved

10:15

it. So, but then also, I

10:18

just thought it was funny yesterday,

10:20

you posted a funny story on

10:22

your IG, just saying, what if...

10:24

you went to ET's planet and

10:26

all of the other cities are

10:28

wearing clothes. That's my humour all

10:31

in. That is just a creep.

10:33

ET's like Winnie the Pooh or

10:35

Donald Duck? He's like, why are

10:37

he dressed like that, put some

10:39

trousers on? He's the Shiro international

10:41

business. He's the Sean Hudson of

10:43

his planet. He's been accosted many

10:46

times for that I'm pretty sure.

10:48

Junos funny as well, like... about

10:50

an hour ago, I got a

10:52

text from your brother saying, oh

10:54

I need to help with something,

10:56

it's really urgent. I was like,

10:59

this is random, like what's up?

11:01

He just sends me a photo

11:03

of my brother sitting down at

11:05

like a conference in London, like

11:07

in Central, right? But it's just,

11:09

it still just blows my minds

11:11

that you and I do this

11:14

and through that. your brother and

11:16

my brother have these like meups

11:18

a lot of time yeah a

11:20

lot of the time it's because

11:22

they're super serious professionals you know

11:24

that's it enough so I was

11:27

wondering if my brother sent the

11:29

picture and you could sort of

11:31

see the breath marks on the

11:33

window where it's taking the picture

11:35

through it but no it is

11:37

very cool no it is very

11:39

cool yeah it is very strange

11:42

still and we talk about the

11:44

relationships that have been fostered through

11:46

sessions and the community I like

11:48

the friendships but You really realize

11:50

it's very close to home that

11:52

our own siblings will meet up

11:55

and talk about work and stuff

11:57

like that and accounting and sales

11:59

and things like that in a

12:01

graphs and spreadsheets. to be fair,

12:03

me and Luke talk about spreadsheets

12:05

quite a bit as well when

12:07

it comes to planning these shows

12:10

output. You know, that is very

12:12

sweet. I was about to, I

12:14

did apologize for my brother messaging

12:16

because you just never know what

12:18

you're going to get with that

12:20

guy. But anyway, sorry, you meant,

12:23

honestly, you mentioned Andor in reference

12:25

to going to your manner. That's

12:27

three weeks away for us in

12:29

the UK anyway, upon this episode

12:31

dropping. Three weeks to the day,

12:33

the season. to come out and

12:35

I haven't I mean obviously we've

12:38

spoken it's in the last six

12:40

weeks but less Star Wars more

12:42

life I know your thoughts kind

12:44

of on and or but you

12:46

haven't had a platform really apart

12:48

from the one social post now

12:50

what have you been you know

12:53

you've seen the trailers come out

12:55

you've seen the the pictures you've

12:57

seen everything coming out recently and

12:59

on that last one with that

13:01

solemn stoic music come on it

13:03

looks exceptional doesn't it It just

13:06

looks so high quality, so rich

13:08

in its potential of story threads,

13:10

it can look into, you know,

13:12

the gorman massacre, the colors, the

13:14

different characters. I don't think deadras

13:16

being, what? The hair? Yeah. Thank

13:18

you. Yeah. There's a shot where

13:21

deadras hair is down. Is that

13:23

what you're referring to? No no

13:25

I was just saying just in

13:27

general like the hair is pretty

13:29

pretty gnarly throughout it's pretty cool

13:31

yeah well obviously we get the

13:34

flock of seagulls luthan cut that's

13:36

great to see Cassian's hair changes

13:38

throughout the different trailers because it's

13:40

you know different time periods we

13:42

see rogue one soar pretty much

13:44

as well so we and and

13:46

Oh, like earlier saw too. So

13:49

they're really taking the time jumps

13:51

literally and I think that's important.

13:53

They're dropping, I think I mentioned

13:55

this one. I sent in a

13:57

voicemail to you and Dave, but...

13:59

Which sounds weird. So hang on,

14:02

there, I know, it's bizarre now.

14:04

But I'm just, I'm offloading here,

14:06

mate. So they're doing three episodes

14:08

a week. Yes, so three episodes,

14:10

which Gueroa has said will be,

14:12

you know, between... 38 to 45

14:14

minutes probably long each so we're

14:17

looking at as a lot of

14:19

people said a Star Wars film

14:21

per week leading up to Rogue

14:23

one so yeah I have my

14:25

thoughts on it I think I

14:27

think we may differ slightly on

14:30

this but you know less of

14:32

a creator and more of a

14:34

fan what do you think about

14:36

that and then as a creator

14:38

how do you take that as

14:40

well? As a creator I'm dreading

14:42

it a little bit because it's

14:45

a lot isn't it? You

14:49

got to admire Disney for trying something

14:51

different and I think I think that's

14:53

warranted actually because I think they're looking

14:55

at what Netflix can do sometimes where

14:58

they drop chunks of entertainment at once

15:00

right whether it's stranger things to love

15:02

is blind right reality show they they

15:04

don't drop now the whole season in

15:07

one go which is what Netflix were

15:09

known for originally instead they incrementally drop

15:11

these chunks of entertainment and I think

15:13

they're kind of looking at that and

15:16

and maybe saying yeah well maybe one

15:18

yeah I feel I feel split about

15:20

it I can understand why they're doing

15:22

it part of me loves to be

15:25

able to sit there and binge but

15:27

it's just a lot of information but

15:29

let's not forget they did this with

15:32

the first three episodes of Andor right

15:34

we got three episodes one week bang

15:36

like that yeah and maybe maybe it

15:38

might be better like if we experienced

15:41

Andor season one I think we said

15:43

with Andor season one if they dropped

15:45

it by arc it would have been

15:47

stronger. And that's why I think it's

15:50

a great idea. Yeah, I think I

15:52

lean that way. And I think it's

15:54

more just the podcast guy in me

15:56

than murdering me saying, no, do it

15:59

a way good way, I like our

16:01

way cap. And when we spoke about

16:03

it, I didn't wear it at yours,

16:05

how we're going to do that, because

16:08

just with like live commitments, doing a

16:10

recap on the Wednesday may not be

16:12

possible. We may push to a recap

16:14

a day or two or two. on

16:17

a Wednesday, obviously you've got work, I've

16:19

got work, that it's not quite easy,

16:21

whereas if you can space it out

16:23

and drop it on another day close

16:26

enough, then you're going to get a

16:28

better product. But I actually think it's,

16:30

I think it's, I think it's a

16:32

great idea. And I can understand why

16:35

people don't like the idea of it,

16:37

but I mean, in our initial recapture

16:39

last year, I remember us saying that

16:41

when we got into the Aldani, you're

16:44

getting. the start, middle, and end of

16:46

each arc in one go. So we're

16:48

not going to have a situation where

16:50

you've got, for example, episode two of

16:53

And or season one. Very slow, very

16:55

methodical. It is still introducing characters and

16:57

it's just Cassian and Bix talking in

16:59

a garage, basically, for a lot of

17:02

it. You're not just going to get

17:04

that as your weekly episode, you're going

17:06

to get everything about that. And we're

17:08

still, and we are going to, yes,

17:11

it's only four weeks, rather than eight,

17:13

rather than eight, or 12, or 12,

17:15

in this case, in this case, in

17:17

this case, but we're still going to

17:20

talking, but we're still going to have

17:22

talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, talking,

17:24

talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, talking,

17:26

talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, talking,

17:29

talking, talking, talking, the first three episodes,

17:31

something's going to happen, I don't know

17:33

what, we're all going to be talking

17:35

about it. Yeah. Waiting for the next

17:38

one. So we're still going to get

17:40

that. And I think Disney is just

17:42

being shrewd. I think they know what

17:44

they've got. I think they know that

17:47

the structure of these arcs or episodes,

17:49

it does lend itself to let's drop

17:51

more to once. Plus also, Akelite didn't

17:53

do well. Skelet and crude included worse

17:56

with the viewership. Are they looking at

17:58

that? They might have looked at that

18:00

as a reaction around thought, we're not

18:02

playing around here, let's try something different

18:05

and let's give them a movie a

18:07

week, which, and also mate, we have

18:09

all been... saying let's have longer episodes

18:11

each week and they've kind of done

18:14

it. Yeah. You know it's three episodes.

18:16

No there's a content longer isn't it?

18:18

And I say we all most of

18:20

us have said that yeah. Well I

18:23

hear you mate I hear you and

18:25

I think that would absolutely play into

18:27

it. Disney looking into their numbers into

18:29

their strategy and they know I think

18:32

there's a bigger audience anyway. for Andor

18:34

than Accolite and Skelet. It's absolutely Skelet

18:36

and Crew. It's a show about the

18:38

Skelet and Crew numbers because I think

18:41

that show deserved more, but I think

18:43

we've touched on this point before that

18:45

it's another brand, another logo, another thing

18:47

that needs explaining to the masses to

18:50

try and sell on it. You know,

18:52

that's really hard to do when you're

18:54

doing multiple different brand new shows a

18:56

year, let alone something that is a

18:59

little bit more obscure obscure. and or

19:01

has already been tried and tested and

19:03

it had an incremental increase in viewership

19:05

and interest over time because of its

19:08

quality because of word of mouth and

19:10

I think they know what's on their

19:12

hands and they have to play they

19:14

have to play their cards right me

19:17

and that's such a cliche thing to

19:19

say isn't it but what's what a

19:21

mad thing to think about me is

19:23

after and or finishes which is in

19:26

essentially a few weeks. After my month

19:28

almost, yeah. Yeah. You know, after that,

19:30

the landscape of Star Wars television, it

19:32

changes because we've got a Soka season

19:35

too. Brilliant. But what after that? And

19:37

I wonder if now you're going to,

19:39

with all the news, what's it up

19:41

top? I'm no longer going to celebration.

19:44

Can't make it. I'm still in recovery.

19:46

I'll still be healing. can't get travel

19:48

insurance but it's all good because we

19:50

got refunds and flights hotel everything everything

19:53

got funded eventually well well poor old

19:55

Matt was like you man to sell

19:57

our tickets, didn't you mate? I was,

19:59

again, long, I'll keep this very short,

20:02

but no, look, good as well, I've

20:04

basically said, you know, in the kind

20:06

of maelstrom of everything that's going on,

20:08

do you mind just trying to sell

20:11

these tickets so we can recruit the

20:13

money? Face value. So I said, yeah,

20:15

sure. So I didn't realize how many

20:17

people would be doing the same thing,

20:20

so I put them on ready, I

20:22

put them on, as you guys know,

20:24

on the Facebook, on the Facebook, on

20:26

the Facebook, about three or about three

20:29

or four or four Facebook, about three

20:31

or four Facebook, about three or four

20:33

Facebook, three or four Facebook, three or

20:35

four Facebook, three or four Facebook, three

20:38

or four Facebook, three or four Facebook,

20:40

three or four Facebook groups, three or

20:42

four groups, three or four groups, three

20:44

or four groups, a while ago, but

20:47

the guy went somewhere else and then

20:49

just out of the blue the other

20:51

day, somebody said, can I, are they

20:53

still available? So I'm like, yeah, sure

20:56

they are. And in short, he paid

20:58

the money, I transferred the tickets, bitch,

21:00

bash, Bosch, love a bit of nosh.

21:02

Turns out that just by transferring a

21:05

ticket to someone's email, doesn't mean they

21:07

get the tickets. The person who bought

21:09

the tickets has to be physically in

21:11

Tokyo in the Makahariiarii messa, to pick

21:14

them. I was panicking thinking, oh my

21:16

God, I've just fraudulently sold these tickets.

21:18

Then the guys just found this out

21:20

and he's emailing with quite rightly, like

21:23

text messaging politely enough, but he's like,

21:25

are you able to change the name?

21:27

So I messaged Luke, like, can you

21:29

change the name? And then out of

21:32

the blue, like, read pot with the

21:34

saviors, weren't they? Well, they just came

21:36

in and went, yeah, we've refunded, yeah,

21:38

we've refunded a solid there. And I

21:41

was. But I know I was, you

21:43

know, I wanted to make sure Lukie

21:45

Boy and Erroli got the money back

21:47

and I was like, then I was

21:50

going to buy the tickets. So I

21:52

was like, I texted him in big

21:54

capital letters, I've sold you Star Wars

21:56

celebration tickets. Then the next morning, oh

21:59

no, I think I've done, I haven't

22:01

done a boo, but I blame Red

22:03

Pop for this. Wow, or whomever. Yeah,

22:05

because when you transfer the tickets, you

22:08

have to ticket, you have to take

22:10

a box that says. they ain't mine

22:12

anymore. But yeah, anyway, yeah, so you

22:14

got you got your refund from them.

22:17

The chat, this chap got refund. funded

22:19

back, he's happy, he's happy, he looks

22:21

for, everything's happy in the end, but

22:23

yeah, it was a crazy kind of

22:26

eight hours. It's an insane system, I

22:28

don't get it, they used to have

22:30

that light L-Y-T-E system. They need that.

22:32

But I think I've heard they've gone

22:35

under like as a company, because they're

22:37

not owned by Repop or Disney, but

22:39

they were in partnership with Red Pop,

22:41

I think, and yeah, they don't. they

22:44

don't even exist anymore but surely there's

22:46

a better system because they've they put

22:48

on their instead didn't they that oh

22:50

don't forget you've got change going and

22:53

change this name as well as when

22:55

you transfer it's like wow. Mine being

22:57

one of them they did get back

22:59

it was clearly a CS script customer

23:02

service script but they did get back

23:04

but it's going to catch a lot

23:06

of people out so if anyone is

23:08

listening who has transferred tickets to somebody

23:11

else and isn't going to be in

23:13

Japan you might want to book yourself

23:15

a flight or see if you can

23:17

change the name and email address on

23:20

your show clicks account to match the

23:22

ID of whoever you've transferred the tickets

23:24

to. It's crazy. It is going to

23:26

catch a lot of people. I like

23:29

the lottery system. I don't think that

23:31

was very well-handed at all. I think

23:33

it's ridiculous. How many people are being

23:35

split up? And I won't lie, mate,

23:38

because my miss has had a ticket

23:40

as well. And I'm thinking like she's

23:42

not a massive Star Wars fan. like

23:44

one of the days that's why we're

23:47

not going now, but if she wanted

23:49

to, like if we were going, it's

23:51

just our potluck in it. Like, oh,

23:53

what did you get in Orlando? What

23:56

did you get to? It's ridiculous though,

23:58

it doesn't make any sense. So it's

24:00

divided up people, it's a really bad,

24:02

I don't get how you can take

24:05

the London system which was flawed and

24:07

we had some complaints about. that make

24:09

it worse. Yeah no it's and again

24:11

for that I mentioned this last week

24:14

with with Emma on the show on

24:16

our celebration guide where I where I

24:18

said then that prefixed it by saying,

24:20

by the time this episode goes out,

24:23

we all know about where we've got

24:25

panels, but I did say it was

24:27

a silly system then. And that having

24:29

been part of it, I can say

24:32

it is, because again, the first 5,000

24:34

to 6,000 people who got it, who

24:36

were accepted from the Q, would have

24:38

been able to pick seats for every

24:41

panel. Yes, you can only get one

24:43

on the Saturday out of the two.

24:45

So my issue is, like the same

24:47

people, like the same. I don't see

24:50

why they can't use the London system,

24:52

put Asterix against everybody's ticket number and

24:54

say, you can apply for every panel,

24:56

but this ticket number will only get

24:59

a minimum of a maximum of two

25:01

or three out of five maybe. So

25:03

everybody gets a chance. I mean, it

25:05

is basic coding. I don't see why

25:08

they can't do it anyway. So I

25:10

didn't get any panels. I don't mind

25:12

because I've got a lot of panels

25:14

outside of the big boys outside of

25:17

the big boys. Well, yeah, like, you

25:19

know, Charlie Ashby, mate from Imperial Senate,

25:21

he's not got anything either. Yeah, he

25:23

didn't get nothing. And it's, you know,

25:26

I don't, I don't know, there's, there

25:28

is a better way, full stop, there

25:30

is a better way, but. Yeah, like

25:32

you say, and I'm sure there's going

25:35

to be even like standby cues and

25:37

stuff. I don't be sure why cues,

25:39

but I don't want to go to

25:41

Japan and spend, and this is a

25:44

personal thing for me. I don't want

25:46

to go to Japan and stand in

25:48

line for two and hours to not

25:50

get in when, you know, I want

25:53

to experience everything that's going on, could

25:55

I? Yeah, I could do, and I

25:57

know a lot of people will do.

25:59

Are you going to the vegetable carving

26:02

thing? There's a high chance I'll be

26:04

going to that. I've checked that. I've

26:06

had to look to see if it

26:08

clashes with anything else I want to

26:11

see. It does not touch anything else

26:13

I want to see. So I've got

26:15

a list of panels. The animation one,

26:17

you don't need a reservation for, but

26:20

that is going to be packed. So

26:22

I'm hoping to try. I get into

26:24

one of the stages because they're going

26:26

to announce a new show. I know

26:29

for Luke, I know Luke wants me

26:31

to cover the publishing panel, so I'll

26:33

be at that on the Friday afternoon.

26:35

There's a couple of things, the Jedi

26:38

Savoyce, I'm going to, but that actually

26:40

clashes with the photo op I've got.

26:42

I don't buy photo ops, but I've

26:44

got one. Who's held out? Oscar Isaac.

26:47

Oscar Isaac. Well, no, it's because you

26:49

love Moon Night so much. I did,

26:51

apart from the end, when he fought

26:53

that big crocodile or whatever it was.

26:56

I do remember that, but I've got

26:58

that, which I don't get photo I've

27:00

said before, not from any snobby reason,

27:02

but I just don't want to pay

27:05

the money, but it was, I don't

27:07

get photo, I've said before, not from

27:09

any snobby reason, but I just don't

27:11

want to pay the money, and then

27:14

I'm very excited. Now are they, I

27:16

keep seeing mixed messages about this online,

27:18

like what the consensus is, and it

27:20

doesn't seem very clear on the website.

27:23

Are they streaming the big boy panels?

27:25

Based on the wording that I've seen,

27:27

yes, because they've said which panels streaming

27:30

on YouTube, but I guess they haven't

27:32

said... all panels but I've got to

27:34

imagine they are because this year let's

27:36

call it what it is there's no

27:39

showcase panel it's a little bit smaller

27:41

than it was in London there's a

27:43

day less and there's less going on

27:45

there's probably less to talk about like

27:48

what are they gonna say in a

27:50

showcase panel that we don't already know

27:52

or it would just be yeah it's

27:54

enough we do know yeah so you

27:57

remember that right film we announced back

27:59

in 2010 is right yeah yeah yeah

28:01

It's no script still. We're in a

28:03

similar position. I think some of the

28:06

most wild one, yeah. Well, he's going

28:08

to start a run it soon. Okay,

28:10

Philoni, he's all over it. He's got

28:12

that in the bag, we know that,

28:15

so. I think he has got it

28:17

in the bag. I think he has

28:19

got it in the bag. I think

28:21

he's the one that's in the bag.

28:24

I think some of the most wild

28:26

panels will be Mandone Grogu and Asoka,

28:28

and I think a Mandone Grogu is

28:30

going to be a wild film, we've

28:33

come to accept that. It's that it's

28:35

going to be the return of the

28:37

return of the return of the return

28:39

of the Jedi. of 2026. It really

28:42

will be. And Dave's going to be

28:44

there. Philone is going to be there

28:46

as well at the event. So he'll

28:48

be there at the animation panel as

28:51

well. So Papa is going to be

28:53

there. He'll be there to talk and

28:55

do his impressions. Oh mate. Well, if

28:57

you could record one of my impressions

29:00

before you go, and then sorry Dave,

29:02

I've just got something to play. Screaming

29:04

in the animation panel. Is anyone have

29:06

got any questions? No question, just listen

29:09

to this, I put up to the

29:11

microphone. What do you think? What do

29:13

you think? Tell us, tell us Dave,

29:15

where are you going to live while

29:18

you're in the UK? Because he's going

29:20

to be... Isn't he living here now?

29:22

I think he is. That's what I've

29:24

heard. I've heard, but yeah, that's going

29:27

to be crazy. Because I'm like a

29:29

stalker. I swear somewhere, I think it's

29:31

in the director and the last Jedi

29:33

documentary documentary, like... which is great, regardless

29:36

of what you think of the film,

29:38

it's a fantastic dog. There's scenes where

29:40

Ryan Johnson has been picked up from

29:42

his house and he has a house

29:45

at the tunkers, it takes a while

29:47

to make a film like Last Jedi.

29:49

He's getting picked up from like a

29:51

really nice part of London and then

29:54

taken into Pinewood and things and you

29:56

think, oh man, I wonder if I

29:58

wanna live in. You know near a

30:00

toy store. That's where I live. It

30:03

would be a bit elstry, wouldn't it?

30:05

Yeah, that's it. Maybe the old films

30:07

were made. It's all he cares about

30:09

the old films. You, you, hate. alone.

30:12

You don't know what you're going to

30:14

do. I'm going to do. I'm going

30:16

to beat it. We'll be like, you

30:18

changed that fact from page 218 of

30:21

aftermath. You. Key. Demondi was born at

30:23

this date. Slat. No, I do. I

30:25

love I've always I'll always love date

30:27

enthusiasm and I'm not going to say

30:30

it again. I hope if we do

30:32

get a new animated series, which I

30:34

think we will. I'd love to see

30:36

Dave do it and I'd love it

30:39

to be something new. Because I've always

30:41

said, let Dave, let Dave, let Dave's

30:43

creative mind juices flow into something new

30:45

and let him have a bit of

30:48

more fun almost, where he's not having

30:50

to talk about a soaker or a

30:52

kid, as you know, the stuff he

30:54

loves. Yeah. Almost, I do wish to

30:57

grasp with my return home and you

30:59

do, you do realise just how good

31:01

it is. when you're going through, especially

31:03

those mid-season, you're thinking, wow, this is

31:06

some strong Star Wars, strong storytelling. And

31:08

that's Dave, with the team of storytellers.

31:10

That being said, I think, I was

31:12

having this kind of epiphany the other

31:15

day, I feel the animation allows you

31:17

to take your time, you have these

31:19

longer seasons, larger scope. crazier choices whether

31:21

it's comedy or moments you can animate

31:24

it and you can always redo lines

31:26

and I think with live action you

31:28

need to get it you need to

31:30

get it right and it needs to

31:33

be concise and it needs to be

31:35

more to the point in it's leaner

31:37

in a sense isn't it unless it's

31:39

a film and I think the pennies

31:42

kind of drops that that's that's the

31:44

thing with a soaker because But it

31:46

feels like toward the end of the

31:48

series Dave is going ah do you

31:51

know what I need to fill in

31:53

all this I need to do this

31:55

this I need more time. And that's

31:57

ironically a bit like George. George Lucas

32:00

was a bit like that. And you

32:02

see that, you feel it, you can

32:04

sense in Revenge of the Sith, can't

32:06

you? Whereas I'm right, we need some

32:09

practical sets up in here. Yeah, no.

32:11

This is weird. We just went from

32:13

green screen Paradise. So, yeah. It's, it

32:15

is odd. But mate, honestly. Just circling

32:18

back to celebration. I am. So yeah,

32:20

about the panel as well. You're going

32:22

to have such a good time and

32:24

I can't wait to see your coverage.

32:27

I think we're toying around with the

32:29

idea of maybe doing a celebration from

32:31

home, like a remote celebration where I'm

32:33

covering, you're sending me audio and we're

32:36

maybe we're toying with the idea, right?

32:38

Yeah, we're trying to find the best

32:40

way to do obviously that fits in

32:42

with obviously loops. healing regime because I

32:45

don't want to say to him, listen

32:47

mate, you sought the sessions out and

32:49

put more pressure on him when he

32:51

doesn't need it. But if we've got

32:54

to discuss that, if Luke is able

32:56

to do it, he'll cover it from

32:58

home based on what panels are available,

33:00

which is the point I was going

33:03

to end on as well on that

33:05

part. What I was saying is it's

33:07

a smaller affair this year in Japan.

33:09

So I feel like there's almost like

33:12

less to, there's less reason for them

33:14

for them to not stream the panels,

33:16

like, like, because we've seen season one,

33:18

stream Mando and Grogu, because we've all

33:21

seen Mando and they're not going to

33:23

show, and yeah, okay, maybe black out

33:25

the screen if they show footage, that's

33:27

what you expect, but there's no reason

33:30

why they can't stream these panels, I

33:32

don't feel, because it's not, you know,

33:34

they could have streamed the showcase panel

33:36

last time, there's no reason why I

33:39

couldn't have done that, but I think

33:41

there's less reason for them now, now,

33:43

not to, so if I'm not to,

33:45

I'm not to, I'm not to, I'm

33:48

not, I'm not, I'm, I'm, I'm, I've,

33:50

I've, I've, I've, I've, Well, it's also

33:52

going to be like two o'clock my

33:54

time I am I am yes, yeah,

33:57

the story I know there are some

33:59

UK folks are like already like oh

34:01

I'm gonna be powering through I'm like

34:03

nah. You're telling me we're not doing

34:06

a session celebration from home you're not

34:08

doing a live stream at 2 a.m?

34:10

Yeah I know right hello lads oh

34:12

She says it in bed and forgot

34:15

to set the alarm. Yeah, I might

34:17

actually do that. Might just set up

34:19

the live stream and just face it,

34:21

face it at my street or something

34:24

as you see the sunrise and the

34:26

street lamps come on. Nicely different on

34:28

our street. Well, hopefully there's, I mean,

34:30

hopefully we don't know until the day,

34:33

but yeah, of course we look, we're

34:35

still touring about how to cover it.

34:37

I'll be plaster in the socials with...

34:39

photos and videos and if I know

34:42

I know there's a lot of you

34:44

guys who have already message saying let's

34:46

grab a picture and I've also said

34:48

pretty much all of you that is

34:51

fine has catch me on my good

34:53

side but in terms of obviously coverage

34:55

you know we're looking to do it

34:57

it also depends on what's coming out

35:00

of celebration I guess to a certain

35:02

extent yeah right exactly I think there's

35:04

that too but I'm gonna be waking

35:06

up every morning seeing a seeing if

35:09

that panel is going to be streamed

35:11

but there'll be things like trailers like

35:13

trailers Right, bits and pieces like that.

35:15

So there will be, there will be.

35:18

There's a rumor, is it tomorrow? What

35:20

does that say, Wednesday today, it's either

35:22

today or tomorrow, Disney has a presentation,

35:24

I'm sure of it, a cinema con,

35:27

a cinema con, yeah, Las Vegas, right?

35:29

Yep. And that's an industry event, that's

35:31

not for like fans and stuff that's

35:33

for people who work within the industry.

35:36

But there are some rumors going around

35:38

that Mando and Grogu, some of it

35:40

or a trailer will be shown there.

35:42

Might be the same celebration one. It

35:45

won't go public. It could be leaked.

35:47

I doubt it though because it's industry.

35:49

It is industry. Yeah. Depends what's name.

35:51

It does the newsletter. Snyder, Snyder, in,

35:54

F Snyder. The in, Snyder, what a

35:56

name. Yeah, that guy. Why, why is

35:58

smiling? Very angry man on, very angry

36:00

man on X. Oh man. What you

36:03

said didn't come true. Wow, where all

36:05

about this one? Some, oh that one

36:07

did. Some guys, I'm like lads. Come

36:09

on. But also the people that like

36:12

always at this guy, I'm like this

36:14

dude's just like he's just doing his

36:16

job. He's gonna get and there's and

36:18

plans change too. I know Bespin feels

36:21

like that sometimes. Guys give it a

36:23

rest. Yeah, I know you've been chirping

36:25

on other in other like fandoms or

36:27

genres who are very much on the

36:30

on point with a lot of their

36:32

things. Yeah, but then you did but

36:34

then at the same time, not all

36:36

of the time. That's a very much

36:39

a thing as well is not everyone.

36:41

Things, we know that as well. Now

36:43

we've been told things if we wanted

36:45

to hear it or not. And then

36:48

how they actually turn out in the

36:50

finished product are different. Yeah. I mean,

36:52

it looks kind of similar to how

36:54

it was told, but actually you can

36:57

tell there's been reshoots or changes or

36:59

something and it's amended. So take everything

37:01

with a pinch of sort you here

37:03

anyway, but I think the most we'd

37:06

get from cinema con is. you'll get

37:08

a description of the trailer like somebody

37:10

will put online like one of the

37:12

outlets will say this is what this

37:15

is what happens in it and they'll

37:17

describe it in the written word rather

37:19

than anything else I think the description

37:21

will go like there were not not

37:24

six but seven atats in the snow

37:26

they were even off and below it

37:28

death star ruins yeah but not the

37:30

death star ruins of seam new death

37:33

star ruins. Yeah, not a care for

37:35

me. You know, we don't know what

37:37

to talk about. You can imagine it,

37:39

can't you, under the ruins of the

37:42

Deaf Star was Red 5, Luke Skywalk's

37:44

X-Wing, and underneath that was Jodus Jedi

37:46

Star, why? Doesn't matter what, it's just

37:48

there. One thing, and I am actually

37:51

mad excited for it, I know it's

37:53

going to be crazy, crazy, ridiculous, but

37:55

one thing I'm glad to hear about

37:57

this film is that it didn't have

38:00

just a ballooning budget. you know man

38:02

don't go I'm talking about what did

38:04

it come in and what what's the

38:06

estimates right now are one six five

38:09

million something like that but I think

38:11

it's one fifty one sixty yeah and

38:13

when you compare that to we've said

38:15

it before it's become a bit of

38:18

a punching bag but Indiana Jones dollar

38:20

destiny I love that film but my

38:22

word what was the budget on that

38:24

bad boy like 300 and it's over

38:27

300 million dollars and then you look

38:29

at some like Avengers doomsday you how

38:31

much money they pay in on obviously

38:33

the contracts already sign of a lot

38:36

of these characters but you think how

38:38

big that film is going to be

38:40

in the budget and to hear that

38:42

Mander and Groger which comes out at

38:45

a similar time I know you've you're

38:47

very much aware of that but Avengers

38:49

doomsday is going to make it's going

38:51

to make I don't know how much

38:54

money But Mando and Grogu with a

38:56

smaller budget doesn't now have to make

38:58

a billion dollars to make its money

39:00

back. It could make four five hundred

39:03

million be a financial success. Yes, there

39:05

will be people who will say it's

39:07

a terrible return, but you have to

39:09

look at it based on box office

39:12

and marketing spend. I think five hundred

39:14

million for Mando and Grogu I think

39:16

would be a very, very healthy return.

39:18

Anything over that would be great. Yeah.

39:21

I think you'll make more than that

39:23

actually. I mean it has the potential

39:25

to, but I just think if it,

39:28

500 million, making money back with change,

39:30

I think it's done well. The problem

39:32

is, this film has been shot. Yeah,

39:34

it's already been made, it's filmed. They're

39:37

just doing post-production on it, yeah. Doomsday

39:39

comes... out before Mandalorian and Grogu. Yeah.

39:41

That can't be right. Surely. They literally

39:43

only started Phil. I mean, we had

39:46

the, we had the now infamous chair

39:48

of field the other day, which was

39:50

a wild market employee. And it said

39:52

it ended with in production now, and

39:55

obviously it went in production a couple

39:57

of weeks ago, but that's going to

39:59

be a massive. massive production. So to

40:01

say we're going to have that filmed

40:04

shot ready post-production, the amount of effects

40:06

that are going to be in that

40:08

film in a year? No. Unless I've

40:10

missed something that they've changed the date,

40:13

that's wild. Surely they're going to push

40:15

that back. You think? Surely. It's such

40:17

a big film. So many people are

40:19

in it. And it's meant to come

40:22

out before Mandalorian. It's a Mandalorian film

40:24

next year, which is a year and

40:26

a month, pretty much to the day,

40:28

which it can take films of that

40:31

statue almost a year to do the

40:33

post-production. I worry. So why, what date

40:35

is Mando and Grogu men to come

40:37

out? I think it's 26 of May.

40:40

Yeah, 25-26. So around in the US,

40:42

around Memorial Day, Memorial Day weekend, is

40:44

that right? Yeah, 22nd of May in

40:46

the UK, so about that year. I

40:49

only know that because when Solo came

40:51

out at a similar time, and they

40:53

were like, this Memorial weekend, and I

40:55

was like, I don't know really what

40:58

Memorial weekend is, what's that? I don't

41:00

know. There's so many, as you know,

41:02

I love my films, there are so

41:04

many films coming out now which capture

41:07

so many people's attention. Yeah, it's almost

41:09

hard to decide where to decide where

41:11

to decide where to place. any film

41:13

in any calendar, but there will be

41:16

so many films that will see the

41:18

word Avengers and think, nah, do not

41:20

fancy that whatsoever. And I know Star

41:22

Wars is Star Wars and Mando is

41:25

Mando, big deal. Don't put it up

41:27

against Avengers because it's going to have

41:29

legs. Even if Mando ended up being

41:31

the better film, the doomsday is going

41:34

to have legs. It's not going to

41:36

stop. But the thing is, why would

41:38

you put, Avengers is kind of like

41:40

a culmination, why are you putting that

41:43

against an installment? Yeah, yeah, exactly. Why,

41:45

ah, maybe. Have Doomsday come out at

41:47

the beginning of April, because a lot

41:49

of Avengers, I'm sorry, Marvel films, they

41:52

flip between April and May anyway, the

41:54

major ones. Have it come out in

41:56

April, which then gives it four to

41:58

five weeks, if not more, six weeks

42:01

of... Absolutely dominating the box office like

42:03

the juggernaut was going to be. So

42:05

when Mando and Grover does come out,

42:07

you know, Disney have more chance of

42:10

recouping a lot more money because there's

42:12

less of a, oh, which one do

42:14

I go to, which one do I

42:16

go to, which one do I don't,

42:19

because again, I take my kid to

42:21

the cinema as much as I can,

42:23

she loves going. But you know, I

42:25

look at the prices, when I don't,

42:28

there's two films she wants to see,

42:30

I really can only take, I only

42:32

take it, I can only take it,

42:34

I can only take it to see,

42:37

kids or you're going with a group

42:39

of people. Which one do you see?

42:41

Yeah, well, yeah, it's, it's, I don't

42:43

know, it's really out of touch. Something's

42:46

got, I think something will change, I

42:48

think doomsdale be pushed back. I think

42:50

it's going to have to be, just

42:52

because of how big of production it

42:55

is. But that would be good for

42:57

Mando, that would be good for Star

42:59

Wars. Yeah. I want to be leave

43:01

that Star Wars can stand on its

43:04

own feet, but those Avengers films, certainly

43:06

these more recent ones, Oh, big deals,

43:08

come on. Juggenaws. And like I said,

43:10

it's a, it's a climax versus an

43:13

installment. It's not a fair comparison, is

43:15

it at all. I think. What do

43:17

you think of a celebration happening before

43:19

Mandone Grogu, like in America next year?

43:22

So yeah I pose this question didn't

43:24

I to you and Dave I don't

43:26

think it's going to be a celebration

43:28

next year. That isn't based on anything

43:31

I said that to you guys I

43:33

don't I'm a nobody I don't know

43:35

anything about this I just can't see

43:37

there being one and I that what

43:40

was it like hot toy what some

43:42

vendor or might be in Hasbro was

43:44

was kind of saying they were gearing

43:46

up for 2027 in relation to Star

43:49

War celebration like you know we're gonna

43:51

have a quarter year we're gearing up

43:53

towards 2027 they've sent it or Emma

43:55

or someone sent it the other week

43:58

and I was like oh is that

44:00

indicative of the fact there isn't going

44:02

to be a celebration if there is

44:04

going to be one next year that's

44:07

awesome but You've got a soaker coming

44:09

out and Mando and Groka coming out

44:11

next year, so you've got reason to

44:13

do one, you've got something to promote.

44:16

But I'm like, do you wait to

44:18

2027 because you don't need to promote

44:20

Mando and Grogu to a room full

44:22

of Star Wars celebrations fans attendees who

44:25

are going to watch it anyway? You're

44:27

preaching to the choir. And so I

44:29

don't know if there even needs to

44:31

be one next year. And actually, like

44:34

the World Cup and other sporting events.

44:36

I don't mind celebration being held every

44:38

two years because it makes you miss

44:40

it and it makes the moments even

44:43

more sweeter when he gets we still

44:45

eulogise about London and that was two

44:47

years ago. But if they do have

44:49

one next year I do think it

44:52

will be in the States and I

44:54

wouldn't be against it but my head

44:56

is telling me I reckon 27 but

44:58

do you reckon they'll push the bow

45:01

hour next year? I am the eternal

45:03

optimist and I just selfishly want a

45:05

celebration next year so that I can

45:07

be like, oh I've got to go

45:10

because I couldn't make Tokyo because my

45:12

tummy and I think it's a safe

45:14

bet to assume it'll be in Orlando

45:16

for me. I think that just makes

45:19

a lot of sense. I'd like you

45:21

to go to a new place though

45:23

but I just think I can't see

45:25

it not being on Orlando. It's there

45:28

in 2017 which believe it. Believe it

45:30

or not. is going to nearly be

45:32

10 years ago. Like if there's one

45:34

next year it would have been nine

45:37

years. Isn't that like disgusting? Well they

45:39

can have 10 years of rogue one

45:41

almost next year they can have if

45:43

they want to. You can have Jiang

45:46

Wen spoil something else. Bless his heart.

45:48

Come on, Chang. Well, this guy gets

45:50

killed. Oh, my, I wonder if they'll

45:52

be in handle, who knows? I can't

45:55

wait to watch it. Oh, because I

45:57

think, I've said before on the show

45:59

with Dave and with Emma, again, this

46:01

is just like my head cannon almost

46:04

talking, I'm like, I can see a

46:06

possibility of them showing up for like

46:08

30 seconds, where, because we know they're

46:10

going to jedda at some point, well,

46:13

I think we know that anyway. based

46:15

on trailers. I can see a point

46:17

where, you know, Saul Guerrero is on

46:19

Jed of setting his base up and

46:22

there's just a shot of our two

46:24

favorite guardians sitting outside that temple and

46:26

Bay, um, Chira looks up and almost

46:28

as if like he's sensing something is

46:31

coming, which we know in a day

46:33

or two's time will be Cassian and

46:35

Jin and the death star. I mean,

46:37

I can, I can see it. If

46:40

it doesn't happen, it doesn't need to,

46:42

and that's the beauty of it. It

46:44

doesn't need to do it. But if.

46:46

But if it. But if it does,

46:49

it does, but if it does, but

46:51

if it does, but if it does,

46:53

but if it does, but if it

46:55

does, it does, it does, oh, oh,

46:58

oh, oh, oh, oh. Done. You know

47:00

what I will say? I can't really

47:02

dive any deeper into this. I can't.

47:04

We can't. But I would, just as

47:07

a heads up to people, I would

47:09

expect. Not, not like upcoming, spoilers for

47:11

and or season two. Season. Oh yeah.

47:13

Not from us. Not from us. And

47:16

if we are going to talk about

47:18

it will be in the recaps. Yeah.

47:21

But yeah, pretty good point. It will

47:23

the thing details things characters will leak

47:25

Yes, be be very mindful of that

47:27

and we as we said it will

47:30

not come from us No, we will

47:32

not be we wouldn't do that and

47:34

if there was any kind of conversation

47:36

where we'd need to talk about it

47:39

I can't imagine what that would be

47:41

but we would like stick spoiler warnings

47:43

everywhere, but we're not going to do

47:45

it because we want you guys to

47:47

enjoy this show as much as We

47:50

hope you're going to. I mean I

47:52

can't wait for season two. Another thing

47:54

I sure wanted to ask you mate

47:56

because I know it's like you commented

47:59

on an ex post about this and

48:01

I wanted to ask your opinion on

48:03

it. I don't have the quote in

48:05

front of me but Tony Gilroy, Papa

48:08

himself. basically said, you know, it's been

48:10

a blast working on Andal and showing

48:12

what Star Wars can be. And he

48:14

said, you know, it opens the doors

48:16

for if you wanted to do a

48:19

situational comedy or a horror or something

48:21

like that in Star Wars, that I've

48:23

shown that anything can be done because

48:25

of Andal. And you kind of pushed

48:28

back events that somewhat. Like what your

48:30

thoughts on those comments? Right. Yeah, that's

48:32

right. You saw that. And listen. I

48:34

just got the notification. I was like,

48:37

what's this all about. Sahe. He said

48:39

something along lines of, oh yeah, other

48:41

genre, like a comedy and horror. Yeah,

48:43

something like that. That was a sitcom,

48:45

situational comedy, I think he said. Horrel.

48:48

Yeah, sitcom. I love Tony Gilroy. I

48:50

rate him, but that comment ain't it.

48:52

That's not it. Because Andor. Andor is

48:54

a political thriller. but a political thriller

48:57

and a story about rebellion and uprising

48:59

and people rising up against a tyranny

49:01

against government against whatever figureheads it without

49:03

a doubt just using those words are

49:05

just said you know it suits Star

49:08

Wars it's within the rounds of plausibility

49:10

in Star Wars right a comedy It

49:12

doesn't, you know, unless you're doing robot

49:14

chicken where it's not cannon or family

49:17

guy or like, you know, those Star

49:19

Wars things, then yeah, flow your boat

49:21

mate to go do that. But no,

49:23

not in, I don't want Seinfeld, Star

49:26

Wars. I don't want New Girl Star,

49:28

like it just doesn't, it's so stupid,

49:30

no. It's me and then you get

49:32

the candle after. just completely it devalues

49:34

the Star Wars brand. And that doesn't,

49:37

that's not to say that it doesn't

49:39

need to necessarily grow and explore new

49:41

themes or explore new stories set in

49:43

a different time. That's something I'd love

49:46

to do. But and or cleverly, and

49:48

very. well just brilliantly explored a new

49:50

theme within the realms of quite actually

49:52

a safe setting right the original trilogy

49:55

rogue one everyone loves it everyone higher

49:57

rebellion yeah yeah it's it's there we

49:59

go done but it managed to bring

50:01

a new flavor to it I think

50:03

an horror don't get me started me

50:06

I think you can have horror I

50:08

know you're a big fan of the

50:10

genre right but you're a big fan

50:12

of the genre right but you can

50:15

have moments and themes that maybe flirt

50:17

with or moments of flirt with horror,

50:19

right? Rogue One, Vader, always seen. The

50:21

failure in Disney era is horror. Tension,

50:24

there's tension. You have that in the

50:26

sequel trilogy and it works really well.

50:28

You can't just, you can't tell me.

50:30

Like, oh, let's do Mike Myers, like,

50:32

a Michael, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. Sure

50:35

wing! Garf and Wayne and Garf, that

50:37

would be you and I. It's cosplay

50:39

there. You know it, mate. MCM. Who

50:41

knows what will happen? I'm all over

50:44

there. I don't know. I think Stiles

50:46

is its own genre and I think

50:48

that there's... a degree of just shamelessly

50:50

going, and I think they tried that

50:53

with solo. Like we're going to make

50:55

a comedy film, let's get the logo

50:57

guys to come in and ham it

50:59

up and like, yeah, joke, joke, joke.

51:01

No, no one's to see that, no

51:04

one's interested, it's boring. Yeah, because if

51:06

I want to watch comedy, I'll watch,

51:08

I'll watch comedy, I'll go watch friends,

51:10

I'll go watch whatever. What is it

51:13

you're going to watch comedy? Yeah, good

51:15

point. Friends, but you know what I

51:17

mean, only falls in horses or... Blackadder,

51:19

yeah, blackadder, yeah, I'll go watch that

51:22

may, I don't need... You can still

51:24

have comedy in Star Wars without going,

51:26

let's make a... I can already, I

51:28

can already feel it being the most

51:30

unfunny if, the most unfunny. Don't I

51:33

just give it yeah, I I vibe

51:35

with the overall kind of like the

51:37

kind of holistic view of what he's

51:39

saying love if you take it at

51:42

the most faced value that and or

51:44

has shown that Star Wars doesn't just

51:46

have to be you know what you

51:48

know the frequels doesn't just have to

51:51

be like the sequel level of epic

51:53

action it can be other things but

51:55

of course it does have to fit

51:57

in that and yeah like comedy is

51:59

subjective anyway and Star Wars are funny

52:02

films like if you lose what make

52:04

but it's not funny in a traditional

52:06

sense. Star Wars, I did a patron

52:08

show about this because as you, horror

52:11

is my favorite genre. We've had plenty

52:13

of it, but it's the way it's

52:15

been implemented and horror is not just,

52:17

you know, blood and guts. There's, it's

52:20

psychological and stuff like that. And there's

52:22

lots of that already in Star Wars.

52:24

And in recent years, it's been quite

52:26

a lot, but just with Darth Vader

52:28

at the moment in Canobie that guy.

52:31

I paused it and sat forward and

52:33

sat forward and sat forward and I've

52:35

seen much worse things. Crimea doing what

52:37

he did to yours, we get those

52:40

moments and that's why they work so

52:42

much because they come out of the

52:44

blue, they come out of nowhere. If

52:46

it's happening all the time, it loses

52:49

that. Even if it was a horror

52:51

inflected series, you know, it's coming, like

52:53

that bad batch episode where they went

52:55

in season three where they went to

52:57

that planet where they went to that

53:00

planet and those like deadly vines were

53:02

trying to get them and it felt

53:04

a little bit like alien. you know

53:06

you kind of compartmentalize these little moments

53:09

you do that but yeah so yeah

53:11

I think what Giroi is saying is

53:13

correct that it's shown that it doesn't

53:15

just have to be it can be

53:18

serious and it can be other things

53:20

but it like I think like you

53:22

said so eloquently it does have to

53:24

still fit within the sandbox the DNA

53:26

of course is going to be there

53:29

but it has to fit within what

53:31

works it doesn't mean and you know

53:33

me I want new stuff I've really

53:35

I'm clacking for new refreshing Yeah, man,

53:38

it's got to fit within the the

53:40

box needs to get bigger, but it

53:42

still needs to fit within the box

53:44

as it grows It can't be too

53:47

wild and if you and if we

53:49

do get a wild moment it's like

53:51

AP5 singing with flowers around him and

53:53

rebels that's fun because it happens once

53:55

in a decade I watched that the

53:58

other day yeah so weird isn't it

54:00

but it doesn't happen all the time

54:02

so go for it why it's fine

54:04

yeah yeah you you have just hit

54:07

the nail on the head mate like

54:09

that is perfect yeah because I'm could

54:11

you imagine like we're doing like it's

54:13

just it reminds me of the guys

54:16

who Yeah and we're all about on

54:18

the sessions at each zero and yeah

54:20

if you've got an opinion in Star

54:22

Wars and you back it and you're

54:24

friendly fair play to you yeah we

54:27

might not agree but yeah okay that's

54:29

cool there's room for opinions and tastes

54:31

but it does remind me of some

54:33

folks are like I want a Vader

54:36

horror series and he's what so he

54:38

he's just going around killing everyone that's

54:40

it That's the most un- that's the

54:42

most un-Star Warsee, un-George Lucas story you

54:44

could ever imagine or comprehend. And then

54:47

the same people are saying, there's too

54:49

many order 66 revivers. Well who's you

54:51

gonna be chasing down a hunting? Order

54:53

66 survivors so you're gonna have to

54:56

create more of them. Yeah. Otherwise what's

54:58

the point? You've got inquisitors to do

55:00

that anyway. Ah, listen. Listen. That Canobie

55:02

show, man, we're going to have to

55:05

do a retrospective on Canobie. Yeah, I

55:07

have watched a couple of episodes recently,

55:09

but like with every series, I don't

55:11

actually, I don't really binge watch, I'll

55:13

just be like, I want to watch,

55:16

I watch the NER episode falling away,

55:18

isn't it? And I was like, this

55:20

works so well almost in isolation because

55:22

you get the infiltration, you get the

55:25

Jedi tomb and all that kind of

55:27

stuff. But then you also get, you

55:29

also get like the baseball back life

55:31

sappersapers and stuff like life sappers and

55:34

stuff like like that, like that, like

55:36

that, like that, like that, like that,

55:38

like that. Yeah, and things around it,

55:40

it's one of the great what-evs, I

55:42

think, that what if Canobia had come

55:45

out two years later outside of the

55:47

COVID bubble, you know, how should it

55:49

have been? Should have been a film.

55:51

Or that, or that should have been,

55:54

they should have been... But I can

55:56

understand why Disney and Bob Chepeck over

55:58

at Disney at the time when we

56:00

need to invest in streaming because cinemas

56:03

might not even exist in a few

56:05

years time. I can understand that and

56:07

I do think in conversation that is

56:09

sometimes forgotten. It's easy to look back

56:11

now and be like what a stupid

56:14

idea but actually maybe it wasn't at

56:16

the time. Yeah exactly a great point

56:18

mate with it very well put. I'll

56:20

tell you this mate as well. I

56:23

know we mentioned Indy earlier. Harrison Ford,

56:25

Han Solo's dreams, yeah. Because that's all

56:27

they are. The Han Solo's Dreams, people.

56:29

That great circle game? Matt. Cool. Masterpiece,

56:32

mate. Have you finished it or you

56:34

got further further further through it? No,

56:36

I've got way further into it. Like

56:38

in my recovery, that's what I've done.

56:40

That's the game. That and a couple

56:43

games are fever here and they're cheek.

56:45

or FC, whatever it's called, yes. 25.

56:47

Yeah, E, A, F, whatever, you know,

56:49

you know, um... It's fever. What, what

56:52

a game, my... It's about exclusive in

56:54

it. It is, but I think it

56:56

comes on PlayStation in a few weeks

56:58

time, which is crazy. I don't know

57:01

why. I might pick up. But mate,

57:03

it's a big deal. It's a really

57:05

big deal. You should absolutely pick up.

57:07

I think it might be one of

57:09

my favorite games I've played in the

57:12

last 10 years. That's crazy. I'm so

57:14

glad to hear that though. That's an

57:16

RPG. Because you were saying, oh, Jedi

57:18

Survivor. I gave that high score. I

57:21

know you did. You adored the Jedi

57:23

series, but my friend, you know, I

57:25

would rank this above. I would make

57:27

me want to play more then. And

57:30

it's Lucas film games. It's Lucas and

57:32

that's why I'm bringing it up right

57:34

because it's all part of the Star

57:36

Wars George Lucas family but I'm I

57:38

would strongly recommend it strong it's not

57:41

going to be for everyone and it's

57:43

it's a really customizable game you can

57:45

make it as difficult as you want

57:47

as in like you pick up letters

57:50

you read them you have a map

57:52

and it the game ain't telling you

57:54

where to go you have to figure

57:56

out yourself like real life they used

57:59

to be like that that being said

58:01

I did it for a bit and

58:03

I was like this has taken a

58:05

while. This is taking a while. You

58:07

know I misread something or I looked

58:10

at the map and I was like

58:12

oh hang on so I have to

58:14

go to that courtyard to go and

58:16

yeah I did put on but this

58:19

is good thing I put on a

58:21

thing where I like traditional games as

58:23

a little marker on the map and

58:25

you can follow it and it just

58:28

walks you through the game if you're...

58:30

It's just phenomenal, it's not perfect, but

58:32

it is a phenomenal piece of game.

58:34

That's great, dude. The thing I found

58:36

about modern games, like in anything, luke

58:39

a similar, is there are too many

58:41

people now that are saying the games

58:43

are too hard. When I go up,

58:45

you die, you have to restart the

58:48

whole game again, not just a whole

58:50

level. You don't know what hard is.

58:52

But also, if I'm paying an extortionate

58:54

amount of money for the games, because

58:57

they are a lot of a lot

58:59

of money, I want them to be

59:01

challenging. blast through it. I remember I

59:03

want my games to be really hard

59:05

but then like cube there was one

59:08

level on full and order everyone who's

59:10

played a nose you're in a tomb

59:12

and you've got a force push balls

59:14

around and that and I'm like I've

59:17

got no idea after about two hours

59:19

I was frothing at the mouth and

59:21

anger my YouTube walk through how do

59:23

I beat this thing but I still

59:26

want my games to be a challenge

59:28

but hearing that mate is extremely extremely

59:30

extremely exciting and I say it's any

59:32

something you might have to do a

59:34

mini review game reviews and I'm reviews

59:37

and I again I looked at our

59:39

figures out, they're mad popular, the outlaws

59:41

review, incredibly popular, same as the Jedi

59:43

Survivor one years back. You might have

59:46

to do that, just give to people

59:48

what they want mate, they don't want

59:50

to hear Star Wars, they want to

59:52

hear about video games. A few months

59:55

late, but it will be on time

59:57

for the PlayStation people, so that... What's

59:59

talking about late? I recorded... a collector's

1:00:01

guild with Dave in what was it

1:00:03

February when we all went around Dave's

1:00:06

to plan Tokyo. Well that will be

1:00:08

coming soon lads but it was recorded

1:00:10

in February and we talked to a

1:00:12

really cool person at Star was unlimited

1:00:14

so yeah that's a little teaser but

1:00:17

I've just not had the time or

1:00:19

the energy or the comfort to edit

1:00:21

it. but I but but now I'm

1:00:23

getting more comfortable saying that that being

1:00:26

said mate I I am I am

1:00:28

getting to the point where I'm like

1:00:30

oh I'm gonna need to like oh

1:00:32

seven different just it's just because it's

1:00:35

my tummy and I have to set

1:00:37

up right while recording you don't

1:00:39

have to justify to me or the

1:00:41

listeners mate seriously though mate I've

1:00:43

loved this I've been looking forward

1:00:46

to this I missed this I missed every

1:00:48

week just being like right should we

1:00:50

talk a bit about starwater like it's

1:00:52

so It's so meaningful. Yeah,

1:00:54

it's a meaningful part of

1:00:57

my life. You know, I don't

1:00:59

know it is yours and Yeah,

1:01:01

this is it's beautiful. It's love.

1:01:03

Oh, I want to shout far

1:01:05

far away as well. Is that how

1:01:07

we say it? Um Away the lads.

1:01:09

Oh yeah, we are the lads. Yeah,

1:01:12

man's like he's from the North East

1:01:14

now. I think he's some new guy

1:01:16

I yeah, and he sent me

1:01:18

a vetch assigned that you

1:01:20

know the big boy from

1:01:23

Andor yeah yeah in the

1:01:25

first episode some in one

1:01:27

of those three mark argent

1:01:29

three d argent he sent

1:01:32

us a sign a logo

1:01:34

a three d printed version

1:01:36

of our logo there you

1:01:39

go luke it's amazing it's

1:01:41

sorry he said it he

1:01:43

said it oh so good the

1:01:45

way that he executed

1:01:48

Beautiful thing, isn't it, mate?

1:01:50

Really nice. Oh, it's gorgeous. Absolutely

1:01:52

gorgeous. You got me a cheeky

1:01:55

power of the force. I wasn't

1:01:57

sure when I was going to

1:02:00

see... lukeboys. I was like, if

1:02:02

I do see him in hospital,

1:02:04

I'm surprising with a power of

1:02:07

the force. It's like Sam Hammerhead

1:02:09

Geezers. It's like, it's basically the

1:02:11

equivalent of morphine. Getting more power

1:02:14

of the force. Yeah. Like what

1:02:16

is the stupidest one I can

1:02:19

find? That he probably hasn't got.

1:02:21

So that would do, this guy.

1:02:23

That would do. That would do pay.

1:02:25

Well, yeah, possibly. Possibly. We'll see

1:02:27

if they even happen. Cheaper too, yeah. I'm,

1:02:30

you know, I'm going to do that, I'm

1:02:32

going to leave on this note. Do you

1:02:34

know I fancy watching that Star

1:02:36

Wars? Yes. The acalyte? No. Oh,

1:02:38

okay. Shock, horror. That was a genuine

1:02:41

thing as well. I do. Was it?

1:02:43

Based on a chat, not to prolong

1:02:45

the show, but had a great chat

1:02:48

about the horror public with Johnny O'Liff,

1:02:50

Starbolds from my patron's balls from my

1:02:52

patron show. the end of our

1:02:54

public and it got really speculative. It's

1:02:57

great. I mentioned the acolyte as well

1:02:59

and you know I kept my opinion

1:03:01

on it as I have on the

1:03:04

main show. But just just sort of

1:03:06

talking about it in more like the

1:03:08

production side of it and the bits

1:03:10

about it I like to like those

1:03:13

first few episodes. I really want to

1:03:15

go back and watch them now. I

1:03:17

really want to watch those first like

1:03:19

the episodes I do really like the

1:03:21

episodes I do really good. I think in

1:03:23

a couple though, yeah. Yeah, there was no,

1:03:25

I don't know. Yeah, let's revisit that soon

1:03:27

because I need to do it. I think

1:03:29

I'm the opposite. I feel like more and

1:03:31

more like what what what were they thinking?

1:03:34

What would I do? Because we've got

1:03:36

to do our, we usually do our

1:03:38

like one year or whatever retrospective anyway,

1:03:40

but I don't know where that would

1:03:42

be, probably a couple months here, but.

1:03:45

Word June. Interested to see like you,

1:03:47

because I've watched in episode two here

1:03:49

or two here or there. I'd be

1:03:51

interested to see like you going back

1:03:53

to watch it now with the whole

1:03:56

thing. How's it working? I've not since

1:03:58

we watched it together. I think I've

1:04:00

watched bits and pieces and I've shown

1:04:03

people, I've shown Lucas funny enough, my

1:04:05

brother in the light, the fights in

1:04:07

it, the jewels in it. Other than

1:04:10

that, no I haven't revisited it. It's

1:04:12

interesting to go back then, yeah. We'll

1:04:14

do that in June. We'll do that

1:04:16

in June. We're looking at, we're

1:04:18

looking at, I mean, we're not

1:04:21

committing to anything, but there's a

1:04:23

few events that we'd like to

1:04:25

get to. Again, just to make

1:04:27

up for Lukeie, not making its

1:04:29

celebration, so everyone can feel bad

1:04:31

for me. Yeah, we can go have a

1:04:33

little cheeky meet-up. And more, maybe, which

1:04:35

is an event happening on 7th

1:04:37

of June. I believe so. Yeah, Dan Fordenbridge.

1:04:40

Dave the rave, Dave the rave.

1:04:42

event with a couple of the guys

1:04:44

from Andor and it's all about the

1:04:46

making of, is it the behind the

1:04:48

scenes production of Barry, I can't think

1:04:51

of his surname, excuse me, but he

1:04:53

played Anso Krieghear in order he was

1:04:55

the image of hologram off in season

1:04:57

one and a couple of the guys

1:04:59

who worked on it will be there as well.

1:05:01

Yeah mate, I'm buzzing there's going to be,

1:05:04

but it could be a nice little opportunity

1:05:06

to just hang out with you lads. Aimanaman

1:05:08

lives down the road. It will be. And

1:05:10

also, I realized that last year, part of

1:05:13

it was down to me, because I wouldn't

1:05:15

work at one point, but we didn't really

1:05:17

go to many conventions last year

1:05:19

because there wasn't really any out there that

1:05:22

we could go to or the ones that

1:05:24

we could go to fell on inconvenient dates.

1:05:26

And obviously with Sally B this year, that

1:05:28

would have been one, but with that out

1:05:30

of the pitch for both of us, I

1:05:33

mean, I do not to call animal a

1:05:35

smaller one, but I do. find that those

1:05:37

smaller ones we've said it before they have

1:05:39

a charm sometimes we get a bit of

1:05:41

access which is quite nice but yeah it's

1:05:43

just at that aside from a personal point

1:05:45

it's great to just to see people because

1:05:47

it's it's much more accessible you haven't got

1:05:49

a pay 50 quid for a weekend ticket

1:05:51

it's a five and a get in we're going to have

1:05:53

a curry and it's a really UK thing

1:05:55

because we're able to tap into the people

1:05:57

that work on sets work on production did

1:05:59

this did that. And when things like

1:06:01

And of made in the UK, you

1:06:04

have access that you just don't get

1:06:06

in other, you don't even get in

1:06:08

the US in small cons, in village

1:06:10

halls, in wherever. This is in the new

1:06:13

forest, beautiful part of England actually.

1:06:15

So it's gorgeous. Could be a

1:06:17

good little romantic getaway for us,

1:06:19

Matt. Yeah. Absolutely, mate. There is

1:06:21

actually a Star Wars themed AirB&B

1:06:24

down. I think it's a jab

1:06:26

of the huts. I remember, I

1:06:28

remember you posting that, because it

1:06:30

wasn't my mate at work, I

1:06:32

won't name, but he was going

1:06:35

down there with his mrs and

1:06:37

he was like, look what I found

1:06:39

and I think you've got to

1:06:41

book this, I could. Didn't you post

1:06:43

that, like, six years ago on Ireland?

1:06:46

Six years ago on Ireland, for those

1:06:48

who won't have romantic getaway, don't stay

1:06:50

at Jabber the Heart. But yeah, we

1:06:53

will go get that, but yeah,

1:06:55

look at how big United States States

1:06:57

is, I mean, I say only, but that's

1:06:59

two and a half hour drive, three

1:07:01

hours a month. It's not far.

1:07:04

If timing wasn't just so

1:07:06

awkward with celebration and like

1:07:08

you and I being family

1:07:10

men and you know, um,

1:07:12

Liverpool comic-con, Hayden Christensen,

1:07:14

a Rosario Dawson, Ezra,

1:07:16

what's his name? A

1:07:18

man, his fandy. Yeah.

1:07:20

Natasha Liu Baudizzo is

1:07:22

there as well, so being... this they've just

1:07:25

out of the back of their pocket on

1:07:27

oh there you go a soccer cast yeah

1:07:29

Liverpool comic con is like getting

1:07:31

it's getting a becoming the other guess

1:07:33

they've got are quite big as well

1:07:36

it's not yeah pretty well for themselves

1:07:38

I know man like a lot of

1:07:40

those of the Liverpool comic con I

1:07:42

think is starting to give like the

1:07:45

London of like MCM effectively that's good

1:07:47

for its money I like yeah it's

1:07:49

good it's better more competition more competition

1:07:51

anyway the way let's let's wrap it

1:07:53

So we'd actually wrapped and we

1:07:56

were just chatting having a

1:07:58

gossip house. I'm going to go to go

1:08:00

sit on the sofa. And I kid

1:08:02

you not, minutes after

1:08:04

we'd wrapped, Star Wars,

1:08:06

Instagram, Star Wars.com drops. Oh,

1:08:09

Star Wars, Tales of the

1:08:11

End Pie, Tales of the

1:08:13

Underground, coming on May 4th,

1:08:15

underworld. Tales of the, see I've

1:08:18

already messed up, Matt. Yes, how

1:08:20

new it is. Yeah. Tales of

1:08:22

the Underground. It's hard watch that.

1:08:24

What's that about? That history of

1:08:26

the Jubilee line. Yeah, you would

1:08:29

love that, wouldn't you, mate? I

1:08:31

would watch that. There was an

1:08:33

old show, a docu series called

1:08:36

The Tube, that aired years ago,

1:08:38

and I loved it. I was

1:08:40

like, oh wait, you love the

1:08:42

building, you love the architecture. I'm

1:08:45

just looking at the real now

1:08:47

that has been posted. I've seen...

1:08:49

It's a real? Yeah, man,

1:08:51

it's a full-on trailer. I've

1:08:53

seen a sard Ventr. He

1:08:55

dropped it on our Discord.

1:08:57

That's... And there's a full-on

1:08:59

trailer. Yeah. Full-on trailer. Yeah.

1:09:02

Hang on, let me watch that.

1:09:04

Well, Sarge's absolutely murky force

1:09:06

left right. Maybe they'll explain

1:09:08

if she came back. I

1:09:10

think they will do as well. I

1:09:12

think they'll be like, oh, she's back

1:09:14

because of this. So this is a

1:09:16

yearly thing, right? Every May we get

1:09:18

a tail's off. Oh, we heard. Did it

1:09:21

never do, Ross? We heard there'd be

1:09:23

another tails off, but... Yeah, it was

1:09:25

just what is it going to be?

1:09:27

I think they've got a few things

1:09:29

on the on the notepad that they

1:09:31

want to use. This looks really cool.

1:09:33

I actually like this. I think one

1:09:35

of the one of the questions we've

1:09:37

got on the discord was why not

1:09:39

wait till celebration? I mean, that's a

1:09:41

fair point. Yeah, why didn't they wait

1:09:43

till celebration? Because what's the date? So

1:09:46

it's not a special date or anything

1:09:48

like that. Yeah, it's pretty much a

1:09:50

month away. Maybe that's a month away.

1:09:52

Maybe. I think the animation

1:09:55

looks exciting. The animation is

1:09:57

just disgustingly good. Oh it is. This

1:09:59

already looks... better than tells the empire

1:10:01

I'm lighter. It looks like we're focusing

1:10:03

on cad anisage with possibly new characters

1:10:05

around them. There's a couple of returning

1:10:08

ones. I haven't got a sound up

1:10:10

so I can't hear but I'll have

1:10:12

a look through the comments like someone's

1:10:14

saying please give us Quinn and Vos.

1:10:16

This is a chance to get Quinn

1:10:18

and Vos back if we're going to

1:10:21

do it I think but if that

1:10:23

animation I may. This is what... I

1:10:25

would be so sad if Star Wars

1:10:27

did move away from this animator style.

1:10:30

As somebody who just said about 10

1:10:32

minutes ago in the episode, give me

1:10:34

new stuff. I do think this animation

1:10:37

style is, sometimes, it's like the panoramic

1:10:39

shots, they look like real, it looks

1:10:41

like live action sometimes. It does,

1:10:44

didn't it? It does look really good.

1:10:46

Storm troopers as well. That's

1:10:48

funny. Storm troopers. Who's the

1:10:50

new inquisitor? Okay. That's just

1:10:52

what one of the comments

1:10:54

is. Somebody says what's up

1:10:56

with Cadbane's voice. I mean,

1:10:59

Corey Burton is getting a

1:11:01

little old now. Well, his

1:11:03

old gird is... How old

1:11:05

is he? He's got to

1:11:07

be in his 60s or

1:11:09

70s. I mean, he was...

1:11:11

I mean, remember, a clone

1:11:14

was 15 years ago, almost

1:11:16

now, over that. He's 69

1:11:18

years old. Oh, I love

1:11:20

in my hand. Pure green.

1:11:22

I love that Percy. That

1:11:24

looks amazing. That looks

1:11:27

really fun. Comment. Finally,

1:11:29

Disney heading in the right direction.

1:11:31

Excited. I'll give it, you know,

1:11:34

finally. Yeah, all right mate, yeah,

1:11:36

whatever, the last 11 years this

1:11:38

is the best thing they've done,

1:11:41

I'll give it, you know, so,

1:11:43

so gassed for the Quinlan Vost

1:11:45

inquisitor reveal, no, it would be

1:11:48

weird, but hey, it would be

1:11:50

fun. And just another inquisitor, I've

1:11:52

never remember before. Great point, let's

1:11:55

not, don't matter who the inquisitor

1:11:57

is, it's a nobody. Yeah, we learned.

1:11:59

that for a Merrick and Eric

1:12:02

all the other ones. It's a

1:12:04

nobody. Don't give me a start

1:12:06

on Merrick mate. What was that?

1:12:08

What was it? What was it? I don't

1:12:10

get it. I don't even know

1:12:13

if it was a reanimated corpse.

1:12:15

I don't know what it was.

1:12:17

It was just there but... Do

1:12:19

you know what I can't actually

1:12:21

wait to jump on the old

1:12:23

YouTube later and watch this with

1:12:25

the audio up properly because I

1:12:27

think... Tells of the Jedi, Tales

1:12:30

of the Empire, and Now the

1:12:32

Underworld. It's a logical way to

1:12:34

do it. I like that they're

1:12:36

only focusing on two characters

1:12:39

it would seem, I think. Yep. Yep.

1:12:41

Yeah. Quite like that. No, it looks

1:12:43

good, ma'am. I like the animation style.

1:12:45

I'll give it another watch on Italian.

1:12:48

It was short. That's it. Character. I

1:12:50

can get behind that with these shorts.

1:12:52

Why would you announce it today? I

1:12:54

think it's just because it's a month

1:12:57

to go pretty much rather than a

1:12:59

celebration I know but then they're like

1:13:01

oh we've got two weeks maybe they're

1:13:03

thinking I don't know what they're thinking

1:13:06

of Disney's marketing Lucas film because

1:13:08

it doesn't take the tales of it's

1:13:10

going to do relatively well in terms of

1:13:12

views you know in its own bubble yeah it

1:13:15

doesn't need a three-month marketing campaign they

1:13:17

probably could have got a way of

1:13:19

dropping it a celebration. and rode that

1:13:21

wave but I guess maybe they don't

1:13:23

want to get lost in celebration. I

1:13:25

think you, oh good point, oh yeah

1:13:27

good point, good point, because then they're,

1:13:30

oh right. Because they're going to

1:13:32

have another animated series surely because

1:13:34

they did say they're going to

1:13:36

announce the future of basically animation

1:13:38

or like what's happening next. If

1:13:40

anything, I think this gives more

1:13:42

merit to that idea that they're

1:13:44

going to reserve that time and

1:13:46

excitement for the new. animated

1:13:49

series. Yeah, okay, that makes sense.

1:13:51

We've solved it. We've solved it.

1:13:53

There you've answered your own question

1:13:56

there pretty much. I mean, I guess

1:13:58

that means I think, I think speculation

1:14:00

hat on. I don't think

1:14:02

the next series of animation

1:14:04

is going to be a Sarge

1:14:06

Ventures and Omega and that kind

1:14:08

of thing because we're getting a

1:14:10

Sarge here. So I don't think they're

1:14:13

going to be doing that. So I

1:14:15

think that almost pushes that to

1:14:17

the backbone a little bit. Have

1:14:19

you heard the rumours about what

1:14:21

the animation series is? Okay. And I

1:14:23

think you might have done as well

1:14:26

by the sounds of it. Yeah, crimsoned

1:14:28

it probably. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not against

1:14:30

that either. It just, I just don't

1:14:32

know what the story is. I mean, I love

1:14:34

the idea of bringing Kira back in

1:14:37

crimson dawn and actually giving Solo a

1:14:39

little bit of a boost because it

1:14:41

is still like what happened at the

1:14:44

end. Like, what? Mauls back? Right. I'm

1:14:46

gonna watch solo, I think. I really

1:14:48

enjoy it. It's just so inconsequential almost

1:14:50

because at the minute, like if they

1:14:52

can build off of a animated series

1:14:54

of crimson dawn and mall off the

1:14:56

back of solo, then suddenly it becomes

1:14:58

a little bit less inconsequential to

1:15:00

me. But sometimes you fancy a

1:15:02

bit of inconsequential, don't you? Something like,

1:15:05

oh yeah, yeah, shooey, shooey, no frills. There's

1:15:07

a lot of fun. When I say inconsequential for those

1:15:09

who love the film, I don't mean it's rubbish, you

1:15:11

rubbish, you rubbish, you rubbish, you rubbish, you rubbish, you

1:15:14

rubbish, I just mean... It doesn't really give us anything

1:15:16

new that we don't know. We know we got the

1:15:18

Falcon, we know he met, Lando and Shui, we know

1:15:20

he did the Kester Ronson, it is showing us that.

1:15:22

It doesn't at all give a little, I'm of that

1:15:25

opinion, I don't want a solo too for that reason.

1:15:27

But yeah, no, great, great stuff mate, I'm happy with

1:15:29

a bit of tells of the underworld, looks great, animation

1:15:31

style great, just thought we chuck this in. We're chuck

1:15:34

this in, we're chuck this in, are chuck this in,

1:15:36

are chuck this in, are chuck this in, are chuck this

1:15:38

in, are chuck this, are, are, are, are, are, are, are,

1:15:40

are, are, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we,

1:15:42

we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we,

1:15:44

we, we, we, we, we, we our past cells. And I

1:15:47

imagine we'll also do like a Tales of the Underworld show

1:15:49

when it comes out. I'm sure we'll do an episode about

1:15:51

you. Yeah, let's go back to the future, to the back.

1:15:53

How do we say it? Let's go back to

1:15:55

the future. Well for the listener it is

1:15:57

back to the future isn't it? I guess. Yeah.

1:16:00

Well, that was the return of the

1:16:02

Jedi, the return of the King. Luke

1:16:04

Bly is back, but I am sorry,

1:16:06

I know you've all enjoyed hearing those

1:16:08

silky tones, just as much as I

1:16:11

have enjoyed watching him and hearing him.

1:16:13

But we are going to wrap up

1:16:15

this episode of Star Wars sessions. And

1:16:17

Spotify. and we have more listeners

1:18:29

on spot. I out with them

1:18:31

last week, I said we have

1:18:33

got exponentially more listeners in that,

1:18:35

it ain't a bragging thing, but

1:18:37

you're out there, come on, I

1:18:39

know there's more listeners on Spotify

1:18:41

than that, so come on guys.

1:18:43

I know, it's crazy, it's please.

1:18:45

Please, just give the review. Give

1:18:47

the review. Oh, and please tell your

1:18:49

Star Wars friends about us. Tell

1:18:52

your mum. Tell your dad, tell

1:18:54

your mates, tell your cat, tell

1:18:56

your nearest crony, tell your Ewok,

1:18:58

tell your cousin, the more the

1:19:00

merrier, the castle spicier. Just quickly,

1:19:02

I want to shout at Croanes

1:19:04

and Colitis UK. Just quick, Croens

1:19:06

and Scallitis UK.org. Do the symptom

1:19:08

check, if you get pains in

1:19:10

your tummy, or you're passing blood,

1:19:13

or something in the like, oh,

1:19:15

what's this. What's this. Go, do the

1:19:17

symptom checker. Trust me, do it. Check

1:19:19

your guts. Sorry Matt, I didn't

1:19:21

want to sabotage the outro with... You're

1:19:23

a good mate, but we did link,

1:19:25

we did link to the site a

1:19:28

couple of weeks ago, but we could

1:19:30

always do it again if needs be.

1:19:32

So, uh, and I think we should

1:19:35

do. So, uh, tell, tell, Director Kronik

1:19:37

himself. Oh! This is the podcast you're

1:19:39

looking for, so until next time from

1:19:41

me, see ya! And from Luke. May

1:19:44

the force be with you all always?

1:19:46

Look! Like, somehow, Luke returned, isn't it?

1:19:48

Like, come on, I'm not doing a

1:19:51

spoonerism, because that is in

1:19:53

place, or a spoonerism

1:19:55

next week. Maybe, probably.

1:19:57

Yeah. Bye. They

1:20:07

are Essex-based podcast

1:20:09

heroes.
