Bernard Weinraub, a former New York Times reproter who covered presidential politics and the film industry, talks with AIM editor Roger Aronoff to discuss his play, "The Accomplices."The story follows the Bergson group and Peter Bergson, the Jewish activist named Hillel Kook, who waged a campaign in America to save the Jews from the Holocaust.In the play, Weinraub sheds light on the failure of FDR and his administration to rescue European Jews dueing World War II.The Bergson group went up against FDR and the Jewish establishment in America, and succeeded in rescuing hundreds of thousands of European Jews.Weinraub will also discuss politics and the influence of Hollywood.
