I talk to one of my closest friends from university about race issues. He and I often talk during the weekends just to chat. This time while we were chatting I found myself learning a lot from him about racism and the history of it. So we moved our conversation from Whats App to Anchor to record it as a podcast. Unfortunately, I was not able to record most of the conversation about the history of South Africa and apartheid. So this episode begins when we pivoted our conversations to the protests that are currently happening in the United States.
Please note at the start of the episode, I go into a monologue as we pivoted to talk about the protests. But it becomes much more of a conversation after that. I honestly learned a lot, so I really hope you enjoy listening to our conversation as much as we enjoyed having it.
As we discuss in the episode, one of the most important things that are happening right now is the dialogue. We are all taking the time to talk about these issues and think them through ourselves. This is extremely powerful.
