If you love mysteries, guided or narrated stories and wonderfully acted podcasts, this is one that should be on everyone's "favorites" list. I'm recommending it to everyone I know, especially if they aren't regular podcast listeners, as one that will introduce them to the reason to become as big of a fan as I am. Thank you Grim & Mild.

A classic noir tale (probably inspired by the infamous Black Dahlia murder), expertly told and acted. Recommended.

Only available on Stitcher, free with commercials.Unlike Limetown, this is a story that would feel comfortable in the world of LA Confidential. It's a world we know well so the podcast team has to work hard to make us care about this particular story. I think they do an admirable job so it's worth the listen. Like LA Confidential, the story focus' on the investigators and the corrupting people that inhabited Hollywood of the '50s. There is a found takes podcast. The detective recorded everything and his family kept his tapes without listening to them. You get some excellent interaction between the investigative journalist/podcaster and the Detective's granddaughter and cousin(?). However, I wouldn't binge it. I recommend two episodes at a time. Part of the fun is the chance to think about what just happened and predict what happens next.

This 50'ies Noir story has great producion value and a clever use of found footage. The acting i excellent and the sound takes you right back in time. Only thing is that it´s yet AGAIN a woman, who´s the victim.

Loved the music and noir vibe although the resolution/ending felt a bit unsatisfactory. Glad to hear a new season is in the making.

A great example of an audio drama podcast that doesn't need to lean on supernatural horror. The story and performances here are great. The creators do a wonderful job of making the first season a complete story while also leaving one thread open for a possible second season.

The whole present day journalist stuff feels a bit unnecessary and contrived, but the rest is enjoyable as hell. The acting really shines in this, making the dialogue feel natural. The mystery keeps your attention, but you get plenty of time to bask in what feels like 1950s LA.

An interesting murder-mystery with a twist you won't see coming.

I listened to this when it first came out, and I wasn't convinced it was fiction. It's incredibly well done and requires zero suspension of disbelief. A great model for others to follow!
