H-E-L-P. Welcome to the

2:32

basement ladies and gentlemen.

2:35

I am your host

2:37

Tim Ross shout out

2:39

to all of my

2:41

dwellers from all over

2:43

the world. Thank you

2:46

so much for tuning

2:48

back into another episode

2:50

I am so excited

2:52

for you all to

2:54

meet a man who

2:57

has been a spiritual

2:59

mentor to me advisor

3:01

to me perspective shifter,

3:03

anchor, that I'm running

3:05

out of adjectives. I

3:08

could say so much

3:10

about them. I thought

3:12

it was important. You

3:14

know I've been talking

3:16

about the fact that

3:19

we need to have

3:21

people around us. had

3:23

the opportunity to go

3:25

before us so that

3:27

we can learn. We

3:29

need advisors. We need

3:32

mentors. You know, mentorship

3:34

is a huge word

3:36

around here. We use

3:38

our mentors and our

3:40

advisors to help us

3:43

navigate the challenges of

3:45

life, the vicissitudes of

3:47

life, avoid the pitfalls

3:49

of life, and put

3:51

us on the path

3:54

to success of life.

3:56

And this man had has

3:59

been that for me, selfishly,

4:01

I wish it was just

4:03

me, but he has been

4:05

that for his biological children

4:07

and his hundreds if not

4:09

thousands of spiritual children that

4:11

he so sacrificial and willingly

4:13

gives his time for, his

4:15

most frequent season. of being

4:17

together. It took place at

4:19

the original pancake house in

4:22

Great Vine, Texas, off of

4:24

William, D. Tate. I don't

4:26

know the full address, but

4:28

if I met this man

4:30

there at 6 o'clock in

4:32

the morning, he would be

4:34

gracious enough to just share

4:36

his wisdom with me, and

4:38

it's literally helped me avoid

4:40

so many pitfalls. So I'm

4:42

giving you one of my

4:44

cheat codes today. The guy

4:47

I'm introducing introducing you to.

4:49

I know you think I've

4:51

been smart in making decisions,

4:53

just because I've ran a

4:55

bunch of it past him.

4:57

And I remember thinking, I'm

4:59

gonna get up super early

5:01

and beat him to the

5:03

original pancake house. And I

5:05

got there and he was

5:07

already at the table and

5:10

I was like, the door

5:12

should have still been locked.

5:14

I don't think the restaurant

5:16

was open yet. So I

5:18

guess they cut him his

5:20

own key. And he was

5:22

always, he was already halfway

5:24

done with the newspaper. Not

5:27

like a pamphlet the newspaper

5:29

so I'm presenting to some

5:31

and introducing to others Pastor

5:33

and spiritual father founder of

5:36

the kingdom global Network Larry

5:38

Titus is in the building

5:40

ladies and gentlemen let's go

5:42

Well, hello there sir. I'm

5:45

speechless and I haven't even

5:47

begun yet. Hi dad! So

5:49

good to be here. So

5:51

good to be here. I'm

5:53

so grateful you're here. I'm

5:56

honored. I'm so glad you

5:58

came. Thank you for saying

6:00

yes. I remember the first

6:02

time I met you I

6:04

was sitting at the back

6:07

of oral Roberts University, the

6:09

big auditory, whatever that arena

6:11

is called. Yes sir. And

6:13

you got up to speak

6:16

and I had such a

6:18

divine encounter with the Lord.

6:20

And I could just, I

6:22

could sense nail scarred fingerprints

6:24

all over you. And I,

6:27

and I felt, wow, what

6:29

is this? Because I'd never,

6:31

never heard of you, never

6:33

seen you. Yeah. Never do

6:35

you, never met you until

6:38

later, I guess, that day

6:40

or that week. Yeah. But

6:42

I heard from heaven the

6:44

incredible anointing of God on

6:47

your life. So I knew

6:49

from then on, there's God

6:51

had smeared you with oil.

6:53

has been, I don't even

6:55

know how many years ago

6:58

that was, but 15. 15

7:00

years. Yeah, this year is

7:02

15 years. Yes, sir. What

7:04

a pleasure. I'm blessed. Thank

7:06

you. I'm as blessed as

7:09

you, if not more. I

7:11

am like, I feel like

7:13

I'm a kid just showing

7:15

off his dad at like

7:18

career day. You know what

7:20

I mean? It's like everybody

7:22

bring every child. brings their

7:24

parent and is like, my

7:26

dad's a fireman. My dad's

7:29

a police officer. My dad's

7:31

a dentist. My dad's a

7:33

football coach. I would love

7:35

for you to just give

7:37

us the benefit of your

7:40

hindsight and just share with

7:42

us kind of your origin

7:44

story, how you came to

7:46

be. The man that I

7:49

know who you are the

7:51

man that I just described

7:53

Yeah, would you be opposed?

7:55

to do on that for

7:57

us. Born and raised in

8:00

California, Central California, Fresno, San

8:02

Joaquin Valley. My dad was

8:04

a vineyardist, horticulturist, my mother

8:06

housekeeper. My dad was so

8:09

full of love that nearly

8:11

every day of life he

8:13

led somebody to the Lord.

8:15

And it was strictly by

8:17

love, that's all. He didn't

8:20

have any four points, he

8:22

didn't have any pamphlets, you

8:24

know, tracks. Yeah. Yeah, love

8:26

the news out of him.

8:28

And you just couldn't resist

8:31

his love. My mother was

8:33

the most incredible teacher of

8:35

the word. My dad was,

8:37

my mom was very annoyed

8:40

in the pulpit and my

8:42

dad could kill a service

8:44

in five minutes or less.

8:46

So she was great in

8:48

the pulpit and he was

8:51

great out of the pulpit.

8:53

Wow. They were a great

8:55

couple. Yeah. So I grew

8:57

up in that environment. The

8:59

brother immediately older than me

9:02

was eight years older, so

9:04

he was out of the

9:06

house by the time I

9:08

was 10, so raised mostly

9:11

as a only child. Yeah.

9:13

Had another brother 20 years

9:15

older than me married before

9:17

I was born, my dad's

9:19

first wife died in childbirth,

9:22

so he was just a

9:24

half-brother. Yep. and in that

9:26

environment we were out of

9:28

the country so just one

9:30

neighbor very it was a

9:33

healthy environment very very very

9:35

balanced family very rare for

9:37

people of this generation even

9:39

know what that is to

9:42

have stable stable parents that

9:44

they were god-loving that were

9:46

not legalistic they were not

9:48

legalistic they were very Very

9:50

balanced very very very loving

9:53

very responsible My mother was

9:55

called of God to go

9:57

to the ministry and had

9:59

a high perfecting ministry but

10:01

she never called herself prophetess never

10:03

called herself she just said I'm

10:06

a teacher you know never made

10:08

anything big about it but she

10:10

was so highly annoyed it was

10:12

ridiculous but she did not go

10:14

to the ministry till I graduated

10:16

from high school wow so she

10:18

and dad then went into full-time

10:20

ministry and then the dad passed

10:22

away 12 years later mom continued

10:24

to preach for another 22 years

10:26

So they preached tens of

10:29

thousands of people globally.

10:31

So that was my

10:33

environment. I met my wife when I

10:35

was in Bible College and

10:37

Santa Cruz, California. She

10:39

lived just about an hour

10:42

south in Monterey Bay area

10:44

in California. And my

10:46

parents were preaching at her

10:48

church, so I went down to see

10:50

my parents. And she was only

10:52

13 at the time, so I

10:54

had no interest in her. But I

10:57

continued to stay in touch

10:59

with her family and she grew

11:01

up. I love that answer. I continued

11:03

to stay in touch with her

11:06

family and she just happened to

11:08

grow up. Four years later,

11:10

we were married. She turned 17

11:12

just less than two weeks. So

11:14

I had to have permission to

11:16

marry her. Yep. And I was

11:18

21. We were associate pastors

11:20

in California for a couple

11:23

of years. We became youth

11:25

directors. for a denomination in

11:28

the state of Washington,

11:30

Northern Idaho, for a couple

11:32

years, taught at a small

11:35

Bible college for a couple

11:37

years, and then returned to

11:39

the state of Washington, where

11:41

we passed it, our first

11:43

church. So Washington State, 12

11:46

years. We were in Pennsylvania,

11:48

12 years, 13 years Ohio.

11:50

Few short years in

11:52

Amarillo, Texas, the Panhandle.

11:55

And then in 2002 the

11:57

Lord spoke to me that

11:59

I was finished with the

12:02

pastoral ministry that we

12:04

would devote ourselves full-time

12:06

to global missions. So

12:08

we founded Kingdom Global Industries,

12:10

actually in 1992, never

12:12

gave it momentum until

12:14

2002. Wow. So then we

12:17

moved down here to

12:19

be with my daughter, her

12:21

family, her four children,

12:23

her 12 grandchildren, so... So

12:26

I've been in the

12:28

pastoral ministry 32 years and

12:30

then since then, public

12:32

missions. So, yeah, but

12:34

the 80, some nations, 87

12:37

I think, nations and

12:39

we have an ongoing ministry

12:41

in about 31 nations.

12:43

Wow. Yeah. So, unfortunately, I

12:46

called it a non-profit

12:48

organization and we haven't made

12:50

any profits. Are you

12:52

second-guessing that decision? Should

12:54

you have made it a

12:57

for-profit? I should have

12:59

made the wrong thing. You

13:01

need some money now?

13:03

Should we put a link

13:06

in there? We will

13:08

put a link in there

13:10

to clean them global

13:12

for sure. Oh, that's

13:14

good. Anyway, that's just kind

13:17

of a nutshell of

13:19

my ministry. Then two years

13:21

ago, I said, goodbye

13:23

to Debbie. And

13:28

everything changes, everything changes. You're just,

13:31

you're not used to that. And

13:33

I can tell you that God

13:35

is more real, the last two

13:38

and a half years, or less

13:40

than two and a half years,

13:43

more real than I get ever

13:45

explained. But it is different. It

13:47

is totally different. You know, so

13:50

many married couples never became one.

13:52

Yeah. So consequently, there's not a

13:55

problem. They can be separated, they

13:57

don't miss each other. But when

13:59

you were one. Jesus said the

14:02

two will become one. from the

14:04

book of Genesis that has been

14:06

described. You come into one. So,

14:09

you know, Bishop Holber preaching the

14:11

memorial service and it was like

14:14

Priscola Aquila. And it really was.

14:16

It was like a relationship that

14:18

was, we were one. It was

14:21

Debbie and Larry or Larry and

14:23

Debbie. And so if there's a

14:26

Larry without a Debbie, it's a

14:28

big difference. Huge. Huge difference. And

14:30

God's, my mother-in-law says never. put

14:33

a question mark where God puts

14:35

a period. And whenever God, it

14:38

was the most wholly unbelievably spiritual

14:40

thing whenever she breathed her last

14:42

breath. So special. You have to

14:45

know that the God who brought

14:47

us into the world is still

14:50

there. Whatever he brings us to

14:52

the place of coronation, when he

14:54

brings us the place of exultation

14:57

to his presence. And like I

14:59

can understand why the word uses

15:01

the Bible says Jesus was glorified

15:04

and Jesus said of Peter you'll

15:06

be glorified because there is a

15:09

glorification that is in death that

15:11

is not in birth. That's correct.

15:13

Because you're having an encounter or

15:16

you're entering into the kingdom of

15:18

God because flesh and blood can't

15:21

enter the kingdom of God. So

15:23

when you lay down the flesh

15:25

and blood and entered the kingdom

15:28

of God, it is a glorification.

15:30

So we had a celebration of

15:33

her life. I didn't want to

15:35

make it a macabre funeral service.

15:37

In fact, so many funeral services

15:40

that I've conducted, I tell the

15:42

people in the crowd. We have

15:45

it all wrong. The only person

15:47

in life is the one you

15:49

think is dead. But the person

15:52

that we think is dead is

15:54

the only one truly alive. Wow.

15:57

Truly, truly alive. So it is

15:59

just that in. counter that until

16:01

you walk through the valley,

16:03

it's not the dead person

16:06

walking through the valley.

16:08

It's the person who is

16:10

alive that is walking through

16:12

the valley. Wow. And the shadow,

16:14

it just shatters you.

16:16

And it was both glorious.

16:19

And my brother asked me,

16:21

he now, he passed away a few

16:24

months later. He said, he

16:26

said, how are you doing? I

16:28

said, you know what? hours and

16:30

hours and hours and hours and

16:32

hours, and then my

16:35

gratitude always overextends the

16:37

sorrow. He said, I doubt it.

16:40

And I can understand that,

16:42

but it really is true

16:44

that, you know, I'm so

16:46

grateful for what God did,

16:48

nearly 59 years of marriage,

16:50

and we cannot remember, we

16:52

could not remember where we

16:55

have ever intentionally hurt each

16:57

other. Or ever had an

16:59

argument. We would have disagreement.

17:02

Yeah, of course. Because she

17:04

was smarter than me. And

17:06

I was smart man to

17:08

realize that. Right. She was

17:11

so wise, but we had

17:13

disagreements. Never, never, never, never

17:15

did we ever have an

17:17

argument. We didn't raise her

17:19

voice to each other. After 59

17:22

years of marriage, I really... I

17:24

really believe that God now has

17:26

given me a foundation where I

17:28

can, so I, I'm not here to

17:31

promote my books, but I did

17:33

finish a biography of Debbie last

17:35

Christmas. Yeah. Called Experiencing Debbie,

17:37

so it is a biography,

17:39

but it's really a marriage book

17:41

that I've disguised as a

17:44

biography. Fantastic. Because I

17:46

want people to understand, they

17:48

can have good marriages. Yes,

17:50

that's right. They don't have to have

17:52

this fighting. They don't have to have

17:54

this conflict. Absolutely correct. They can work

17:56

as one, the Aquila Priscilla. Absolutely. If

17:58

you understand how to... selflessly and if

18:01

you understand how to honor

18:03

the other person more than

18:05

yourself. That's right. But if

18:07

you live for yourself it's

18:09

not going to work. Not

18:11

at all. I always I

18:13

always tell Mary I always

18:15

remind couples that are that

18:18

I'm that they've asked me

18:20

to officiate. You came to

18:22

an altar. Yeah. Which means

18:24

you didn't come to live

18:26

happily ever after. Yeah, you

18:28

came to die. That's right.

18:30

Happily ever after. What do

18:32

you think happens at altars?

18:34

You know, and so. But

18:37

I saw that modeled in

18:39

your relationship with Debbie. And

18:41

she is she is one

18:43

of one. Yeah. She is

18:45

absolutely unequivocally one of one.

18:47

Yeah. Thank you for sharing

18:49

that. As difficult as that

18:51

is, my mom just lost

18:53

her husband, my daddy. This

18:55

month will be a year.

18:58

Oh, I did not know

19:00

that. Yeah, February 24th of

19:02

2024, my daddy took his

19:04

last breath. And they were

19:06

just shy of their 50th

19:08

anniversary. We were all supposed

19:10

to renew our vows together.

19:12

Because Juliet and I turned

19:14

25 last year. And then

19:16

they were returning 50. So

19:19

we were going to renew

19:21

our vows together. So my

19:23

mom got a new dress

19:25

and my dad was looking

19:27

forward to it. But then

19:29

when he was hospitalized first

19:31

week of January, seven weeks

19:33

later he was dead. And

19:35

so my mom still put

19:38

on her dress and walked

19:40

down the aisle to a

19:42

huge pitcher of my dad

19:44

and kissed it and stood

19:46

next to it before we

19:48

walked down the aisle. and

19:50

it was i mean there

19:52

wasn't a dry eye in

19:54

the house so yeah it's

19:56

It's Debbie's loss and my

19:59

daddy's loss are in close

20:01

proximity. And so I have

20:03

more empathy, I think, than

20:05

I could have if I

20:07

wasn't watching my mom walk

20:09

through the same thing. This

20:11

is my closest point of

20:13

reference. Paul says that we

20:15

have an ability, a cathartic

20:17

ability, with our words to

20:20

make our wife radiant. Well

20:22

that's the case and you

20:24

also have built here to

20:26

the opposite. And so whenever

20:28

I laid my hands on

20:30

Debbie she went to be

20:32

with the Lord I said

20:34

Lord I pray she looks

20:36

like you're bright. Revelation 21

20:39

I pray that she's radiant

20:41

she's glorious I pray I

20:43

did a good job and

20:45

I believe that that's God's

20:47

call for every man is

20:49

to make your wife radiant

20:51

by your words you have

20:53

to establish her queenship you

20:55

have to establish. Don't worry

20:57

about yourself, don't worry about

21:00

it. If you make her

21:02

a queen, you will automatically

21:04

become a king. So it's

21:06

really requisite that we understand

21:08

the power of our words.

21:10

Cleanse her by the washing

21:12

of water with our words.

21:14

And the word there is

21:16

Rama. It's not Lagos. Yes,

21:18

sir. So it is the

21:21

word Rama that we will

21:23

make her radiance with splendor.

21:25

And then it describes a

21:27

new Jerusalem. As I look

21:29

for... I look for the

21:31

bride and I saw the

21:33

city. Yes. Wow. Yeah. Wow.

21:35

Y'all can see where I

21:37

get it from. I'm glad

21:40

you're here because now they

21:42

can understand it. Oh, that's

21:44

where he gets some of

21:46

that from. I'm trying to

21:48

tell you. I'm a good

21:50

repeater of the stuff that

21:52

I've learned. So

21:55

you've given us a

21:57

recap on your life.

22:00

What does life look like for

22:02

you now? I began to travel

22:04

extensively about four

22:06

months after she passed away and

22:08

it was good for me to

22:10

be able to be busy. Yeah,

22:12

of course. Otherwise, it's very

22:15

lonely. Everything is lonely after

22:17

your wife passes away. You don't

22:19

want to, I don't want to

22:21

go places. I don't want to,

22:24

you know. Everybody has somebody

22:26

waiting for them at the

22:28

airport. You know, you have

22:30

nobody waiting for you. So you

22:32

have to go to church by

22:34

yourself. You know, I don't want

22:37

to go to banquets. I hate

22:39

sitting by myself at a banquets.

22:41

So that part changes. So I

22:43

really, I did a lot of

22:45

traveling that first year. And then

22:47

it turned into last year was

22:49

all ministry and I was nearly

22:51

half the time in Brazil. I

22:54

don't know why they love me

22:56

in Brazil, but they seem to. And

22:58

I think that was really a major,

23:00

major time because I love to preach.

23:02

Well, I love to preach. I

23:04

love to teach on families, on

23:06

marriage, but on prayer, the kingdom

23:08

of God, I just, there's so

23:10

many topics I love to preach on.

23:13

Yeah. That I cannot, I have so much

23:15

word in me that I, my old and

23:17

new treasures, just keep seeping out, you know,

23:19

so I love the word. Never get

23:22

enough of the word and I

23:24

never get enough opportunity to teach

23:26

the word right right I love

23:28

that so I'll be going again

23:30

I've been just domestic in the

23:32

last couple months, but it kicks

23:35

in again the global travel

23:37

kicks in just a few weeks

23:39

for now Brazil Brazil for

23:42

you has been what Australia has

23:44

been for me for sure I know

23:46

you just said like you don't know

23:48

what it is But what is it

23:50

in you that feel so drawn to

23:52

the country outside of the invitations?

23:55

What particularly keeps,

23:57

because I know you've been some

23:59

places. that even though you

24:01

might have been honored by

24:03

the invitation, you're like, I

24:05

won't be back. You know

24:08

what I mean? Like this,

24:10

I know I have some

24:12

of those places where I'm

24:14

like, thank you, but no,

24:16

thank you. I'm gonna pray

24:18

God blesses all of you,

24:20

but it won't be through

24:23

me. Well, Brazil is kind

24:25

of unique because it's such

24:27

a massive revival there. It

24:29

is unique in that they

24:31

are probably the largest missionary

24:33

sending nation in the world

24:35

right now. And it is

24:37

just such a delight. It

24:40

is like people are so

24:42

grateful, they're just so happy

24:44

to be saved, and they're

24:46

just so happy to worship.

24:48

And they don't, we have

24:50

a lot of more restraints

24:52

to the American Church, a

24:54

lot of things that are

24:57

bound by the clock, you

24:59

know. And in Brazil, they

25:01

don't have that strictures. And

25:03

so it's really a pleasure

25:05

to minister. And then... So

25:07

many millions of people that

25:09

are that are close to

25:12

us, followers of us in

25:14

so many churches and then

25:16

with the relationships with the

25:18

pastors and the leaders. So

25:20

I really love Brazil, really,

25:22

really love it. Yeah. And

25:24

it's a good place to

25:26

go in Dallas summertime. Is

25:29

it, is it not as

25:31

humid? They're winter at our

25:33

summer. So their winter is

25:35

about as nice as you

25:37

can get between 70 and

25:39

80 and all times. So

25:41

their winter. Yeah, it's just

25:43

like, oh God, deliver me.

25:46

Yeah. What's the flight time

25:48

there? Is it direct? I

25:50

fly always to Sao Paulo

25:52

and that's nearly 10 hours.

25:54

Oh, wow. I didn't know

25:56

it was that far. Oh,

25:58

yeah. Yeah. It's nearly 5,000

26:01

miles. You know what? I

26:03

just geographically, I never. That

26:05

is if you fly to

26:07

the south understood you know

26:09

such it's such a north-south

26:11

country. Yeah it It really

26:13

is. It really is. What

26:15

are you, you are all,

26:18

anytime I, if I close

26:20

my eyes and we're sitting

26:22

at original pancake house, even

26:24

though you would be reading

26:26

the local paper, you would

26:28

seem to always have your

26:30

pulse on what the Holy

26:32

Spirit was doing in his

26:35

church. And you would. Tell

26:37

me about things that you

26:39

sensed or you saw and

26:41

it would be months later

26:43

before I realize you were

26:45

speaking prophetically. And I'm just

26:47

curious what you sense now

26:50

or what you're... Can I

26:52

take you to a story

26:54

that will proceed? Of course.

26:56

1978, I went to a

26:58

Catherine Coleman meeting in Seattle,

27:00

took a busload of our

27:02

people from where we pastured.

27:04

I was sitting there and

27:07

I started to cry. I

27:09

heard the Lord say in

27:11

the last days there will

27:13

be no more superstars. There

27:15

will be no more celebrities

27:17

that everybody will be healing

27:19

the sick. Everybody will be

27:21

ministering in the supernatural. So

27:25

I've remembered that all through these

27:27

years, all the celebrities, all the

27:29

superstars. It is so bad that

27:31

I don't even have anybody left

27:34

to endorse my books. Seriously, I

27:36

run out of people. It's true.

27:38

You just look at all of

27:40

the endorsements. I can't use anybody

27:42

anymore. Yeah. And it's because we

27:44

have made celebrities out of, you

27:46

know... Out of people that had

27:49

they just remained normal, if they

27:51

had retained the smell of sheep?

27:53

Yes, sir. if they had just

27:55

not listened to the applause. You

27:57

know, I was actually at a

27:59

church a couple years ago, Mega

28:01

Church, where the pastor shook hands

28:04

with people. I thought, this guy

28:06

is really strange. Because it has

28:08

become such an aloof, stardom celebrity

28:10

worship. And we have not only

28:12

allowed them, but promoted it. Yes,

28:14

sir. That I believe that in

28:16

the last days God is going

28:19

to take the most normal average

28:21

people Nobody that needs to be

28:23

applauded and they will look more

28:25

like Jesus that said don't tell

28:27

anybody The world's greatest leader said

28:29

don't tell anybody. The world's greatest

28:31

leader said don't tell anybody you

28:34

were healed. Yes, don't tell people

28:36

who I am. He even told

28:38

demons be quiet. Don't tell anybody

28:40

who I am. We're you know

28:42

if I had raised anybody from

28:44

the dead. I would have written

28:46

a book by now and sold

28:49

a million copies sold a million

28:51

copies I mean, just one person.

28:53

Yeah, just one person. And I

28:55

just think that in this day,

28:57

all this is a prophecy out

28:59

of Isaiah chapter 40 that the

29:01

mountains are going to be brought

29:04

down and the valleys are going

29:06

to be exalted. Yes. And the

29:08

straight places are I mean the

29:10

crooked places is going to be

29:12

made straight. Yeah. And he's talking

29:14

about leaders. Mountains in the Bible

29:16

are leaders. That's the word horns

29:19

means authority. Yes. It talks about

29:21

the leaders that have horns, that

29:23

means authority. And mountains are leaders,

29:25

so the mountains are going to

29:27

be brought down and the valleys

29:29

are going to be brought up.

29:31

And Jesus, saying the greatest among

29:33

us can't be John, can't be

29:36

James, can't be these guys, the

29:38

greatest among us, well bring the

29:40

children. Let's see how that does

29:42

for a start. And I think

29:44

in the last days we're seeing

29:46

this, we're seeing the church shaken.

29:48

Before God ever judges the world,

29:51

he will judge the church first.

29:53

the church is first. That's right.

29:55

Church of judgment because of the

29:57

house of God and and I

29:59

seeing this like wow it just

30:01

to this last year everything has

30:04

been shaken everywhere and every

30:06

continent things have been shaken up

30:08

yes sir and the Bible is

30:11

very clear that he's going to

30:13

be doing this and Jesus

30:15

is going to thoroughly cleans his

30:17

his slashing floor and separate

30:20

the wheat from the chaff and we're

30:22

seeing this and I believe that this

30:24

is for their sake because God

30:26

wants them more than their ministry

30:29

Yes. And I think as well

30:31

as for my sake, to say God

30:33

helped me to be humble because it's

30:36

easy. You know, God's called me

30:38

to restore the broken, not

30:40

to break into the leg, you

30:42

know. Amen. So God's called us

30:45

to restore and to carry that

30:47

compassion at all times, because that

30:49

could be me. Absolutely correct. So

30:52

that's that's the words of Galatian.

30:55

So I believe that we're here. everything

30:57

is being shaken and it needs to

30:59

be. I agree. My private life, my

31:01

marriage, my ministry, everything. Because

31:03

if you turn up the heat

31:06

and the fire is going to

31:08

expose the dross, it's also going

31:10

to expose the gold. That's right.

31:12

That's good. And I think that whenever

31:14

we see the fire is something

31:16

healthy. The recent fires in California

31:18

that I was just there, I

31:20

was in fact... Steve Abraham's church.

31:22

Yes. Massive move of the

31:25

spirit. You would be so

31:27

excited. So thrilled, Oxnard, California.

31:29

Yep. Well, the day that it

31:32

was to start, they've had 21

31:34

days of fasting, then Steve was

31:36

going to preach. I was going to

31:38

preach. It's called New Life, Oxnard.

31:40

And then another pastor from

31:43

Las Vegas was going to preach.

31:45

And on the first night, they had

31:47

just had that fire start. of

31:50

that day 10,000 acres and

31:52

Santa Clarita had

31:54

started there 10,000 acres

31:57

before my plane landed.

32:00

was totally shrouded in ash. Everything

32:02

was shut down. They said, don't

32:04

go outside. It's level five, the

32:06

highest level. And his church is

32:08

a man very, very high up

32:11

in the fire department. He's retired

32:13

now, but Ventura County. Very, very

32:15

high up. 600 men under his

32:17

authority. So I said to him,

32:19

I said, well, tell me about

32:22

this fire. He said, well, in

32:24

2017, he said, my own home

32:26

burned down. and the largest fire

32:28

in the state of California. Wow.

32:30

We were number one in 2017,

32:33

now we're number 10. What? So

32:35

now eight years later, number 10,

32:37

that means the fires that emerged

32:39

since then, and the thousands, tens

32:41

of thousands, literally obliterated, you know,

32:44

the Pacific Palisage, completely obliterated the

32:46

whole city. Yeah. And so I

32:48

went there on Thursday night, and

32:50

before I preached, I said, I

32:52

want to talk about the fire.

32:55

I want to talk about the

32:57

fire. People are saying, the judgment

32:59

of God, no, God would never

33:01

do that, know it's man, know

33:03

it's God, know it's nature. Now

33:06

it's, they're going back and forth,

33:08

and I said, I just want

33:10

you to research fire throughout the

33:12

Bible. Just research fire. How many

33:14

times has God used fire? Because

33:17

if my home burns down, oh.

33:19

I've got my family, I've got

33:21

my kids, I've got my... What

33:23

I thought was so important is

33:25

no longer important. Correct. So it

33:28

really doesn't matter where the fire

33:30

starts and who started the fire,

33:32

it is, fire always purifies, is

33:34

there a possibility that there's a

33:36

prophetic ring to this, that God

33:39

is not trying to wipe a

33:41

city out, he's trying to establish

33:43

his kingdom on the principles of

33:45

eternity. or is the possibility that

33:47

this is a, of which I

33:50

say, a forerunner of the fire

33:52

that we are being praying for,

33:54

that it's a real... of God

33:56

would just call revival. And then

33:59

it was immediately followed by rain.

34:01

Immediately. I'm talking about two days

34:03

later than the rain came and

34:05

they have not had rain for

34:07

a year. Over a year, they

34:10

have not had rain. Wow. I

34:12

just think that everything that God

34:14

does in the heaven is going

34:16

to be corresponding things on the

34:18

earth. And I think just, you

34:21

know, just keep our eyes and

34:23

ears open, not critically. Yeah. You

34:25

know because God is always in

34:27

the process of refining and he's

34:29

always in the process of producing

34:32

blessings. Yes. Sometimes he has to

34:34

set something aside so that we

34:36

will see the real. Absolutely. And

34:38

I can tell you already there

34:40

are people that came out and

34:43

said I wouldn't have known how

34:45

precious it is until I went

34:47

through this. That's right. That's correct.

34:49

So the trials, you know, count

34:51

it all joy. The Bible says

34:54

and James and then Peter said.

34:56

If you go through the fire,

34:58

it's going to Persians, it's going

35:00

to process, and it's going to

35:02

purify. That's right. So I think

35:05

God is doing that. I believe

35:07

that he's, I have never felt

35:09

more like there really is a

35:11

possibility Jesus is coming. Because I've

35:13

seen things that are marvelous of

35:16

the revelation of Jesus to the

35:18

Muslims. Yes. You know, the dreams

35:20

and the visions people are having

35:22

everywhere. Yes. Oh my goodness. Oh

35:24

my goodness, it is. Revival

35:27

revival. We had

35:30

a young woman

35:32

here a few

35:34

weeks back. Her

35:36

name was Kinsa.

35:39

Kinsa is from

35:41

Morocco. And born

35:43

into a devout

35:45

Islamic family and

35:47

came to the

35:50

states and her

35:52

parents put her

35:54

through some. incredibly

35:56

abusive, relationally abusive

35:59

situations. and she

36:01

had a vision of

36:03

Jesus. And obviously

36:07

her family being

36:09

devout Muslims

36:12

enacted Sharia

36:15

law and sought to

36:17

kill her for being

36:20

apostate and she

36:22

fled from them

36:24

and has made a...

36:28

life-threatening decision to follow

36:30

Jesus, not the youth camp.

36:32

I'm not I'm not diminishing

36:35

the experiences we have in America,

36:37

but if it having to confess

36:39

Jesus Christ is Lord and that

36:41

God raising from the dead is

36:43

a little bit different. That's right.

36:46

If you can't go back home

36:48

to say goodbye to your parents,

36:50

you know, and and That

36:54

that so you saying that

36:56

is I'm seeing those same

36:58

revivals. I'm seeing the fruit

37:00

of that and My I have a

37:02

friend named Joachim. He's

37:04

from Sweden. He spends

37:07

I think he think he lives

37:09

here half the year now and

37:11

goes back half the year, but

37:13

They in Sweden, which is

37:15

a secular country. They

37:17

see revival happening all the

37:20

time and Thousands

37:22

of Muslims coming to

37:24

Jesus, making an arduous

37:26

trip across some ocean, or

37:29

some sea. I can't remember

37:31

which one it is. But

37:33

they get there and the

37:35

ministry of this church, Livitz

37:37

Ord, on their trek up

37:39

to whatever part of Sweden,

37:42

they've seen the love of

37:44

Jesus for like 40 miles,

37:46

50 miles. By the time they

37:48

get to a church, they're like...

37:51

The Jesus of this church is

37:53

who's been feeding me and my

37:55

children for the last 50 miles?

37:58

I must know this Jesus. You

38:00

know, but he was often

38:02

asked by his American counterparts,

38:04

how come we don't see

38:06

that type of revival that

38:08

you see in Sweden here?

38:10

And Joachim's very short and

38:12

sweet answer was, because you

38:14

all resist revival. You all

38:16

resist persecution. You resist the

38:18

fire. You want the fire

38:20

out now. you won't wait

38:22

for the rain, bring the

38:25

water hose. Right. We don't

38:27

want, we don't want to

38:29

just get through rush hour

38:31

traffic. Exactly. We want a

38:33

HOV lane. Exactly. We don't

38:35

want an HOV lane, we

38:37

want a helicopter right now.

38:39

You know, anything to avoid

38:41

the pain. And so what

38:43

you just said, and what

38:45

I've always been refreshed by

38:47

you over these last 15

38:49

years, is. And I've, I've,

38:51

I've, it's deeply resonated with

38:53

me and I've, I've patterned

38:55

my life in this fashion

38:57

is when you have a

38:59

biblical worldview, what other people

39:01

call calamity and chaos, you're

39:03

just like, this makes sense.

39:06

Mm-hmm. Exactly. Like it's just

39:08

easier to make sense of

39:10

stuff when you have a

39:12

biblical worldview like hearing you

39:14

talk about the fires just

39:16

now is I'm just thinking

39:18

this is a person with

39:20

a biblical worldview of course

39:22

they would have a biblical

39:24

perspective on this as opposed

39:26

to God's judging California. Well

39:28

how convenient? It just happens

39:30

to be dry and if

39:32

you flick a cigarette it's

39:34

gonna burn up in the

39:36

same way we always do

39:38

with New Orleans and That

39:40

in the Gulf of Mexico,

39:42

God's judging it with a

39:44

storm. These storms come annually.

39:47

This judgment is pretty predictable.

39:49

So to hear your... perspective

39:51

on it, how important is

39:53

it for us to have

39:55

a biblical view? Yeah. Well

39:57

everything, Fusions 1, 10 and

39:59

11, everything is down. God

40:01

has a plan, master plan

40:03

for us individually, for the

40:05

church corporately, but he has

40:07

a master plan to bring

40:09

everything into the authority of

40:11

Jesus. Yes, sir. So every

40:13

single thing in the world

40:15

is moving toward that goal

40:17

of bringing Jesus into his

40:19

rightful authority as king of

40:21

kings of Lord of lords,

40:23

everything. Everything will be reconciled

40:25

to that. Yeah. This is

40:28

so good for us to

40:30

listen to. Okay, what else?

40:32

What else is on your

40:34

mind? Yes, of course. Of

40:36

course. Yes, of course. I

40:38

yes, of course. I never

40:40

try to do this by

40:42

the way. I'm so sorry

40:44

for interrupting. No, please. We

40:46

do have a lot of

40:48

Gen Z. Yeah. People that

40:50

tune in and young adults.

40:52

So. Is there anything that

40:54

you would tell your 20-year-old

40:56

self or anything you would

40:58

have done different when you

41:00

were in your 20s? Oh

41:02

my goodness. You're exposing me

41:04

now. Absolutely, but not too

41:06

many. One is that I

41:09

didn't take enough vacations. Now

41:11

remember I've been in the

41:13

ministry since over 60 years.

41:15

I didn't take enough vacations.

41:17

I remember I've been in

41:19

the ministry since over 60

41:21

years. I didn't take enough

41:23

vacations. So I didn't understand

41:25

that my family is my

41:27

ministry. I thought the church

41:29

was my ministry. So my

41:31

family is my ministry, not

41:33

the church. Yes, sir. The

41:35

church is a ministry, but

41:37

not the ministry. So the

41:39

church will only be as

41:41

good as my marriage and

41:43

my family, and if that

41:45

doesn't, and I've seen too

41:47

many, too many leaders who

41:50

literally raised up great ministries

41:52

and their family went to

41:54

pot. Yes, sir. And all

41:56

that, that's a failure. Yes.

41:58

In my my kids. God,

42:00

I failed. I don't care how

42:02

many of the churches. I agree.

42:04

And so I didn't, because

42:06

I was bragging one day, you

42:08

know, I said, 12 years, I

42:11

only took three vacations.

42:13

And the Lord said, don't

42:15

brag, you send against

42:17

your family. So I repented.

42:19

So that is the one

42:21

thing that I really, I really

42:24

did wrong. And then

42:26

one of the great things

42:28

about my ministry is that I

42:30

fail really young. Please talk

42:33

about this. Please talk about this.

42:35

I can really. I can join

42:37

you in this. Really young? Yes

42:39

sir. It is better than failing

42:41

late. I can tell you that.

42:44

I would rather fail young and

42:46

repent than to fail

42:48

late. Absolutely. And be

42:50

remembered. for my failure as

42:52

people say they will never

42:55

remember how service began and

42:57

they'll never forget how it

42:59

ended And that's the same thing

43:02

as my life. Yes, you know

43:04

and So anyway Debbie and I

43:06

were called to to start God

43:08

call us so sovereign everything was

43:11

sovereign to a little town

43:13

of 19,000 people and it's

43:15

all in the book called

43:17

experiencing Debbie At Little

43:19

Town of 19,000 people in

43:22

the Cascade Mountains of Washington

43:24

State when actually Washington, we went

43:26

there in 68, we started, was it

43:28

literally zero people, and first year we

43:30

only had about 50. And I was

43:33

complaining to the Lord one day, I

43:35

was flat on my face, on the platform

43:37

of the church, complaining to the Lord

43:39

that I've done everything I know to build

43:41

the church, and I heard the audible voice

43:43

of God, and he spoke to me like

43:45

the man on the road to Emmaus. And

43:47

he began to question me and then

43:50

he pointed me to the word. I've

43:52

never heard the voice of the Lord

43:54

before or since. I'm talking about

43:56

the actual audible where we talked.

43:58

Yes. Like a Bible. study. Yeah.

44:00

And he said, do you ever preach

44:02

on the church? I said, oh, all

44:05

the time. He said, I rarely mention

44:07

the word church twice. He said, do

44:09

you ever preach on the kingdom? I

44:12

said, well, I'm young, but I've never

44:14

preached on the kingdom. He said, I

44:16

always did. It began taking me through

44:18

the Gospels. He said, I did not

44:21

give you the keys to the church.

44:23

I gave you the keys of the

44:25

kingdom. He said if you

44:27

would seek first the kingdom of God in

44:30

his righteousness all of these things But he

44:32

said you're gonna have to leave the building

44:34

He said because the kingdom isn't in this

44:37

building. It's out of this building. So we

44:39

went to the parks the lawns the drug

44:41

dance the You know the high schools

44:43

everywhere the kids were and we never invited

44:45

people to the church. We only invited people

44:48

to Jesus So in

44:50

our home, they started coming.

44:52

Hold on down, hold on,

44:54

just calm down real quick.

44:57

Just leave me alone, just

44:59

hold on. Hold on. Please

45:01

take us slower. Take me

45:03

slower. I'm not going to

45:05

even blame it on anybody

45:07

else. Please take me slower.

45:10

We never invited anybody to

45:12

church. No. We invited them

45:14

to Jesus. I

45:28

just needed time to process that. I

45:30

will be 50 this year. So I

45:33

began to fill up our home. We

45:35

had three levels to our home, one

45:37

level kids would be getting delivered from

45:39

demons. Another level, that'd be saved, another

45:42

level filled with a lot of spirit.

45:44

And then again, just packing the church

45:46

until you couldn't even find room in

45:48

the church. We had a major revival

45:51

that I won't go into that was

45:53

so massive, you know, where it was

45:55

like what was going on in Los

45:57

Angeles, the Jesus Revolution. and

46:00

baptizing hundreds and hundreds at a

46:02

time. I had a choir of

46:04

150 teenagers, we took them all

46:06

over the world, they were at

46:08

the Munich Olympics. They were, I

46:10

took 50 kids to the Munich

46:12

Olympics and we would, I taught

46:15

them how to sing a couple

46:17

of four-part harmony so we were

46:19

very self-contained because then we could

46:21

take all of our percussion with

46:23

us, all of the woodwinds, all

46:25

of the brass, all of the

46:27

tamarines, all of the tamaries, all

46:29

the clavas, all the clavas, everything

46:31

everything so. We could, and the

46:33

dancers, we had trained dancers. And

46:35

I taught the people of the

46:38

church, everybody has a ministry. You

46:40

may not be the pulpit, but

46:42

everybody has a ministry. So we

46:44

want to release everybody to your

46:46

ministry. So, just the philosophy of

46:48

the ministry was opposite. Instead of

46:50

come, it was a go gospel,

46:52

not a come gospel. Absolutely. So

46:54

we began evangelizing throughout Europe and

46:56

East Europe, so the kids would

46:58

save all. teenagers to save all

47:01

year so that they could have

47:03

a month of just ministering globally.

47:05

I took him to Israel. We

47:07

wrote, we wrote our own musicals.

47:09

We had guys that wrote musicals.

47:11

I wrote several musicals myself, the

47:13

Gospel of John, wrote a musical

47:15

on exodus, and we would take

47:17

it to Israel and perform, literally

47:19

on the walls of Jerusalem, wrote

47:21

a dance musical, that was the

47:24

entire thing was dance. that the

47:26

Jews could understand, because it was

47:28

called hero Israel. We went to

47:30

the Hadassah Hospital and said, can

47:32

we sing? And they said, absolutely

47:34

not. So we said, can we

47:36

give blood? And they said, absolutely.

47:38

So they were old choir flat

47:40

with their backs. And they were

47:42

drawing the blood and they began

47:45

to sing for part harmony, the

47:47

Psalms of David. Acapella, so the

47:49

nurses came bringing. patients for us

47:51

to pray for, then the doctors

47:53

came and pretty soon they had

47:55

doctorate and took us throughout the

47:57

hospital. Next day in the Jerusalem

47:59

Post. It was American teens

48:02

give their blood for

48:04

Jewish soldiers. So this is the

48:06

first time in 2,000 years that

48:09

blood was given for the

48:11

soldiers, the Jewish people. So

48:13

the Israeli Red Cross

48:15

contacted us and said, where

48:17

are you going next? We said,

48:20

Tel Aviv, we have to fly

48:22

home. They said, if we set up

48:24

the blood mobiles on

48:26

the Mediterranean there that...

48:28

outdoor auditorium. They said, well you

48:31

will you sing and draw the crowd and

48:33

we'll draw the blood. So we did the

48:35

following year. We got invitation by the

48:37

Israeli JCs and the Israeli Red Cross

48:39

come back. They gave us the key

48:42

to the city of Jerusalem. We

48:44

second Jerusalem Haifa, Tel Aviv,

48:46

outdoor crowds of thousands of

48:49

people. The next year they invited

48:51

us back 100,000 Jewish young

48:53

people marching to Jerusalem and

48:55

we were the official entertainment.

48:57

Wow. The only evangelical group

48:59

that I know of in the

49:02

history of the world to sing

49:04

before 100,000 Jewish young

49:06

people singing the Psalms of David

49:08

and just people just weeping and

49:10

crying and saying we know there's

49:13

something about your group. And some of

49:15

the leaders said we know we know

49:18

who the Messiah is. Wow. We know

49:20

who you're singing about. Wow. And we're

49:22

just saying the Psalm of David.

49:24

Absolutely. Anyway, it was

49:27

just a massive ministry. We

49:29

owned service stations there. We

49:31

owned bookstore. We owned radio

49:34

station. We operated a

49:36

restaurant, our youth operated

49:38

a restaurant. We had

49:40

a Christian bookstore. We

49:42

had education preschool all

49:44

the way through college. And in

49:47

1980, I preached the first and

49:49

only time I preached a sermon.

49:51

I'm scared to preach it again.

49:54

on a Philippines 310 that

49:56

I might know him, that

49:58

I may know him. the power

50:00

of his resurrection and his suffering

50:02

and being conformed to his death

50:05

that I might know him. And

50:07

I said, Lord, I've never known

50:09

persecution. I've never known suffering. So

50:11

I said, okay. So that week,

50:14

I discovered that my administrator had

50:16

been embezzling the church well over,

50:18

we could count over $2 million.

50:20

We could count over $10 million.

50:22

My closest friend was an inveterate

50:25

liar. Everything about it was a

50:27

lie. He was even involved with

50:29

the mafia, Seattle mafia. They were

50:31

going to take, he was going

50:33

to take my life. We had

50:36

a twin-engine plane that flew me

50:38

everywhere and they were going to

50:40

bring that plane down. I was

50:42

going to take a month mission

50:45

tour of Asia flying from our

50:47

city to Seattle in this plane.

50:49

They were going to bring it

50:51

down and because he had... I

50:53

had signed a power of attorney

50:56

and they took out a million

50:58

dollar insurance policy for me which

51:00

would have made it two million

51:02

dollars. Double indemnity and if anything

51:04

happened to me so something was

51:07

going to happen to me. And

51:09

of course that two million dollars

51:11

would go to his pocket as

51:13

well as the mafia. He was

51:16

running a Ponzi scheme. I lost

51:18

everything. I nearly lost my mind.

51:20

We lost our home. We lost

51:22

our car. We lost the church.

51:24

We lost everything. Hundreds of people

51:27

started leaving. You know what that

51:29

was. Of course. Everybody started leaving.

51:31

They didn't want to be involved

51:33

in it. The Seattle papers and

51:35

the local papers were ruthless. Oh

51:38

my gosh, they were so ruthless.

51:40

They, the newspaper reporter said, she

51:42

reported on my wife who played.

51:44

the organ that we had to

51:47

work as back then played the

51:49

organ, talked about her red toenails

51:51

and you know. She looked, I

51:53

said, you, she said she looks

51:55

like Jezebel. I said, you made

51:58

my wife sound like a harlot.

52:00

She said, well, whatever, it takes

52:02

sell a paper. You know, he

52:04

went through a trial. He went

52:06

through a trial over 100 pieces

52:09

of evidence and got off scot-free.

52:11

Wow, scot-free. And, uh, the deputy,

52:13

the deputy prosecutor had prosecuted him

52:15

for the wrong charges. And the

52:18

defense attorney was able to convince

52:20

the jury that he did it

52:22

all for me and he was

52:24

going to pay it back. He

52:26

did everything he did was for

52:29

me, the millions of dollars that

52:31

he stole. It was all for

52:33

me because he just won, he

52:35

loved me so much and he

52:37

just sat on the, sat on

52:40

the stand and just cried and

52:42

said I just did it all

52:44

for Larry. And that was on

52:46

the heels of the Jim Jones.

52:49

trials. Yeah. Oh, yeah. So we

52:51

went through persecution, like you can

52:53

imagine. And as the months went

52:55

by, everything else peed up right

52:57

now. And the Lord began to

53:00

speak to me and he said,

53:02

I'm not after the crook. I'm

53:04

after you. He said, I'm not

53:06

after the con man. I'm after

53:08

you. He said, I'll judge him.

53:11

But he said, I'm after you.

53:13

And he spoke to me these

53:15

words. Two major things. He said,

53:17

number one, you don't, you don't

53:20

cry. He said, you don't cry

53:22

anymore. You become professional. You don't

53:24

cry. And Jesus said, I cried.

53:26

He said, I hurt. When the

53:28

people hurt, I hurt. He said,

53:31

you're no longer hurt. He said,

53:33

you become professional. And you're no

53:35

longer hurt. He said, I cried.

53:37

And he began to show me

53:39

the difference between the son of

53:42

God and the son of man.

53:44

Son of God that he called

53:46

himself only rarely. and the son

53:48

of man that he called himself

53:51

over 80 times. He said I'm

53:53

the son of man, the son

53:55

of man identifies with the people.

53:57

He said, you've lost the feeling

53:59

for the people. Secondly, he said,

54:02

you took the credit for everything

54:04

that I did. He said, it

54:06

was all me. So whenever I

54:08

had to go back and answer

54:10

your question several minutes ago, if

54:13

I would do something different, this

54:15

is what it would be. It's

54:17

all the grace of God. Anything

54:19

that we have accomplished that is

54:22

of the flesh will be consumed

54:24

with fire. Everything that is eternal

54:26

was the grace of God. And

54:28

to be able to say God,

54:30

it's all you. Yeah. And so

54:33

I went through four and a

54:35

half years of depression, massive depression.

54:37

I wanted to commit suicide. I

54:39

wouldn't because I knew it would

54:41

hurt my family. Yeah. So I

54:44

asked God if he would do

54:46

it for me. I've been there.

54:48

Just go to bed and be

54:50

like, yeah. Don't wake me up.

54:53

Yeah, right. Yeah. So. As you

54:55

can see, he didn't answer that

54:57

prayer. 82 years old!

54:59

Oh gosh. So it was, anyway,

55:01

that is kind of a nutshell.

55:03

So then God took me to

55:06

Amarillo Texas in 1981. They just

55:08

had a massive church split. Generally

55:10

fellowship in Amarillo. I had just

55:12

nearly split right in half. And

55:14

they asked me to come. I

55:16

was such a mess. And they

55:18

were such a mess. And they

55:20

were such a mess. We, you

55:23

know, it was just really dependent

55:25

on who the biggest mess was.

55:27

And we were, Debbie and I

55:29

were able to bring healing to

55:31

the congregation, but I was still

55:33

messed up. Yeah. And I still,

55:35

it took, it still took a

55:37

couple years for me to walk

55:39

through it. Yeah, for sure. Deep

55:42

depression. And then the Lord spoke

55:44

to me several years later and

55:46

said on the very ashes where

55:48

you lost everything. He said that's

55:50

when you began to begin to

55:52

live. So he took me back

55:54

to that place, then he took

55:56

me to John 1224, unless the

55:59

seed falls into the ground. and

56:01

dies, it abides alone. But if

56:03

it dies, it'll bring forth much

56:05

fruit. He said, you died, and

56:07

whenever you drove out of the

56:09

city, he said, when you drove

56:11

out of the city, carrying

56:13

the only things that you had

56:16

left, and I was crying so

56:18

hard I could barely see the

56:20

road, and he said, that's when

56:22

you begin to live. And so

56:25

God has been gracious to give

56:27

us. Really, millions of

56:29

people that have been brought

56:31

to Jesus since that time. So

56:34

my little seed died, so that was

56:36

the greatest day. So I had

56:38

a preacher, Brazil, recently stand

56:40

up and tell how God

56:42

just wants to bless everybody,

56:44

and then I got him

56:46

and said, actually, God is

56:48

water blessed, she wants to

56:50

kill you. Because when you die,

56:52

that's when you're going to be

56:55

blessed. But if you just go

56:57

out there seeking to be blessed,

56:59

it is all built on selfishness. Look at

57:01

me, look at me, look at what

57:03

I did. But when you die and

57:05

you go into the ground, and by

57:07

the way a seed never dies, the

57:09

outer crust, the outer crust does,

57:11

the flesh does, but the inside of

57:13

the seed never dies, it could be thousands

57:16

of years. You just put it

57:18

into the ground where there's darkness

57:20

and there's water, and sometime

57:22

the sun is going to

57:24

hit it. And sometimes the

57:26

water is going to, it

57:29

will deteriorate the

57:31

crust so the flesh dies,

57:33

but the spirit doesn't.

57:36

You just, you said more

57:38

than you know you said just

57:40

now to me, directly to me.

57:43

You just gave me

57:45

context. God is looking to

57:47

kill these preachers. God

57:50

is looking to kill everybody

57:52

so that we can. When

57:54

Jesus said it is finished,

57:56

he redeemed the world. That one

57:59

seed fell. into the ground and

58:01

when it died, see the

58:03

outer flesh died, the spirit's

58:05

soul didn't, they went into

58:07

the, they went and preached

58:10

in Hades and Chile. Yeah.

58:12

So the outer cross died

58:14

and what it did, it

58:16

allows then the soul spirit

58:18

to be redeemed and what

58:20

it did, it redeemed the

58:22

world. If that seed does

58:24

not die, it will not

58:26

bring forth fruit. So many

58:28

people are unwilling to die.

58:30

I hate telling people that

58:32

news. It's like, guess what

58:35

God's trying to do? So

58:37

my compassion is very little,

58:39

you know. They tell me

58:41

what they're going through. I

58:43

say, hallelujah, sound like you're

58:45

about dead. So it sounds

58:47

like you're dying. Oh, you're

58:49

close to a breakthrough, for

58:51

real now. Are you dead

58:53

yet though? Sounds like you're

58:55

still struggling. You ready to

58:57

die yet? Wow. Wow. Yeah.

58:59

You. You. What is that?

59:02

What is that secular thing?

59:04

The hokey-pokey where they tried

59:06

to bury the guy that

59:08

wrote that and like kept

59:10

coming out of the casket.

59:12

I kept coming out of

59:14

the casket. Because he wrote

59:16

the hooky-pope. Right arm, left

59:18

foot, left foot. They had

59:20

a hard time varying. That's

59:22

like Christians. They don't want

59:24

to die. They don't want

59:27

to die. We're just, you

59:29

know, as soon as you

59:31

get me the casket, I

59:33

put my left arm out.

59:35

No, no, no, no. God

59:37

said I cannot use you

59:39

till you're dead. And whenever

59:41

Jesus said, he emptied himself,

59:43

what is that canosis? He

59:45

did not empty himself of

59:47

deity. That's the mist over.

59:49

He did not empty of

59:52

self of any any portion

59:54

of being full of God

59:56

and fully man. Correct. He

59:58

emptied himself of self. to

1:00:00

be seen, the need to

1:00:02

be applauded, the need to

1:00:04

be aggrandized, the need to

1:00:06

be promoted, the need to

1:00:08

be given accolades. He died

1:00:10

to self. What he came

1:00:12

down here, there was not

1:00:14

one ounce or inch of

1:00:17

selfishness in Jesus. He gave,

1:00:19

he gave, he gave, until

1:00:21

the very final moment, when

1:00:23

his capillaries burst, he gave.

1:00:25

Father, not my will. And

1:00:27

I think that if we

1:00:29

would be willing to say

1:00:31

Jesus or everything, we can

1:00:33

never be anything. But whenever

1:00:35

we die, then the seed

1:00:37

begins to grow. So I

1:00:39

really, my compassion is great

1:00:42

for all the celebrity preachers

1:00:44

that have fallen. I cannot

1:00:46

imagine. One of them said,

1:00:48

I've gone into hiding. He

1:00:50

told a son, I've gone

1:00:52

into hiding. Me and your

1:00:54

mother went into hiding you

1:00:56

need to do the same

1:00:58

in the sense of why

1:01:00

I don't have anything to

1:01:02

hide But I think that

1:01:04

our compassion needs to be

1:01:07

great for the pain Yeah

1:01:09

For the pain and just

1:01:11

say Jesus help us You

1:01:13

know we need to be

1:01:15

a bunch of dead people

1:01:17

absolutely Can you can you

1:01:19

I'm interested in your thoughts

1:01:21

around? how

1:01:26

we deselibrateize ourselves in a culture

1:01:28

that wants to celebrate us. My

1:01:30

cautionary tale is acts 12. It's

1:01:32

it's King Herod putting on his

1:01:35

royal garments, making his great speech.

1:01:37

The people. worshiping him and declaring

1:01:39

this the voice of a God

1:01:41

not of a man. Right. God

1:01:43

doesn't... judge them for celebrating him.

1:01:46

He judges King Herod for receiving.

1:01:48

That's right. The celebration. So how

1:01:50

how how is this? I just

1:01:52

think it's very important to never

1:01:54

forget who the donkey is. Okay.

1:01:57

Thank you so much for being

1:01:59

here. The people. The people aren't

1:02:01

applauding for the donkey. They're plotting

1:02:03

for Jesus. Correct. And I think

1:02:05

that we can never forget it.

1:02:08

I mean, we don't have an

1:02:10

ability to, I can't tell you

1:02:12

what's going to happen 10 minutes

1:02:14

from now. So true. Let alone

1:02:16

next month or next year. I

1:02:19

can't tell you anything. It's all

1:02:21

the grace of God. But I

1:02:23

do think we need to say

1:02:25

amen to what God has done

1:02:27

in our lives. A great God

1:02:30

has made a great person. Amen.

1:02:32

And we need to say amen

1:02:34

to that. Yeah, amen. But you

1:02:36

can never forget who the great

1:02:38

God is and a great man.

1:02:41

Right. Though I am in his

1:02:43

image in every way, yet, there's

1:02:45

still a big G and a

1:02:47

little G. Absolutely. I will never

1:02:49

be deity, and everything is dependent

1:02:52

on the grace of God. And

1:02:54

I had to think, we need

1:02:56

to spend our time exult in

1:02:58

Jesus. Amen. He said, if I

1:03:00

be lifted up, I will draw

1:03:03

the world to myself. If I

1:03:05

lift myself up, he said, I

1:03:07

will demote you. It's very, very

1:03:09

clear. If we promote ourselves, God

1:03:11

will demote. If we promote God.

1:03:14

One of my friends. I kept

1:03:16

telling her lady friend of mine,

1:03:18

part of our ministry, for years,

1:03:20

decades, and I said, stop promoting

1:03:23

yourself. Stop promoting yourself. She never

1:03:25

got the message. So she went

1:03:27

to hear Benny Hinn preach with

1:03:29

a whole busload of people. Nobody

1:03:31

hear Benny Hinn. The first thing

1:03:34

he said, they said was, don't

1:03:36

take any photographs. Well, she sat

1:03:38

on the front row and photographed

1:03:40

the whole thing. So she's disobeating

1:03:42

as well. She has a problem.

1:03:45

And then they said, all the

1:03:47

pastors come to the platform. Well,

1:03:49

she was not a pastor, but

1:03:51

she was the head of a

1:03:53

ministry in their church. So she

1:03:56

and her friends started talking, well,

1:03:58

I'm a pastor, right? West Texas.

1:04:00

Well, I'm a pastor, all right.

1:04:02

Sure. So they decided she's a

1:04:04

pastor. Oh, wow. So she gets

1:04:07

up, goes to the platform, Betty

1:04:09

looks at her and said, as

1:04:11

soon as she wants, first one

1:04:13

walking across. He said, this woman

1:04:15

is an imposture. They drove all

1:04:18

the way home of the bunch,

1:04:20

she decided, I'm not going to

1:04:22

cry when I see my husband,

1:04:24

as soon as she saw him,

1:04:26

she burst into tears. Wow. She

1:04:29

said, I thought I was a

1:04:31

pastor. And he said, well, look

1:04:33

at the bulletin, is your name

1:04:35

here under pastor. And she called

1:04:37

me so cried. I said, oh,

1:04:40

that's the greatest is time. She

1:04:42

said, you can't laugh. I said,

1:04:44

well, I told you if you

1:04:46

promote yourself, God went to boat.

1:04:48

To come back, rejoice, and Jesus

1:04:51

said, don't rejoice. The only place

1:04:53

of the Bible is it, don't

1:04:55

rejoice. Right. It's when we have

1:04:57

the rush of the supernatural. Oh,

1:04:59

halleluious. So many people were saved

1:05:02

and healed and prophetic and people

1:05:04

were asleep. And God said, don't

1:05:06

rejoice. Rejoice, only one thing your

1:05:08

name is written in the Lamb's

1:05:10

Book of Life. That's the only

1:05:13

thing we rejoice about. So I

1:05:15

think there we have a double

1:05:17

responsibility. Assume the fact. that he

1:05:19

made me in his image. Yes

1:05:21

sir. And he gifted me unlike

1:05:24

anybody in the face of the

1:05:26

earth. Right. Absolutely. He calls me

1:05:28

to express from my flesh from

1:05:30

my clay. He's called me to

1:05:32

express his glory. Yes. So I

1:05:35

another quick story and then I'll

1:05:37

finish that point is that in

1:05:39

my early ministry I was a

1:05:41

worship leader musical. Mm-hmm. And Catherine

1:05:43

Coleman would always say, God will

1:05:46

not share his glory with another.

1:05:48

Well, I love to hear her

1:05:50

say that, which is a true

1:05:52

statement. It's true statement in the

1:05:54

Old Testament, and it's true in

1:05:57

one way. but only in one

1:05:59

way. So I was leading worship

1:06:01

one day and I said, and

1:06:03

God will not share his glory

1:06:06

with another. And I felt my

1:06:08

words fall over the edge of

1:06:10

the pulpit and hit the floor

1:06:12

as a cathud. And the Holy

1:06:14

Spirit said, you haven't read the

1:06:17

New Testament, have you? Jesus said,

1:06:19

Father, final prayer. John 17, the

1:06:21

glory you gave me, I give

1:06:23

to them. Romans 8, 29, and

1:06:25

30. God says, I have, I

1:06:28

have known you before. I've designed

1:06:30

you before, I've called you before,

1:06:32

I've justified you, and I've glorified

1:06:34

you. Past tense, I have glorified

1:06:36

you, meaning the same glory. Colossus

1:06:39

too, that was given to Jesus,

1:06:41

Jesus came to us. So the

1:06:43

point is, I must say yes

1:06:45

to who God made me to

1:06:47

be. And number two, I must

1:06:50

say, I'm a cracked pot. I'm

1:06:52

a broken vessel. And I just,

1:06:54

the more you crack me, the

1:06:56

more the oil comes out, the

1:06:58

more the perfume comes out. And

1:07:01

I can just say, it's you,

1:07:03

it is your grace. And as

1:07:05

soon as the compliments come, send

1:07:07

them on. Amen. As soon as

1:07:09

the kudos come, send them on.

1:07:12

Amen. As soon as the kudos

1:07:14

come, just send them on. It

1:07:16

is all you. It is all

1:07:18

you. Everything that shows me from

1:07:20

eternity. I didn't choose myself. I

1:07:23

didn't choose any of my talents.

1:07:25

but you received the praise of

1:07:27

the glory and the honor. All

1:07:29

of it goes to you. That's

1:07:31

my favorite chorus. That you alone.

1:07:34

There's nobody worthy. You alone are

1:07:36

worthy. All that incense continually arises.

1:07:38

There's no one worthy. People will

1:07:40

always say to me, I just

1:07:42

don't feel worthy. So you're not.

1:07:45

You've never been worthy. Right. He

1:07:47

is. Yes. The

1:07:57

only way this conversation is

1:07:59

better if I had... buckwheat

1:08:01

pancakes. Laptacks. Yeah, because you

1:08:03

would be eating oatmeal. I

1:08:06

don't know if you eat

1:08:08

anything else now, but you

1:08:10

would just eat, you would

1:08:12

have oatmeal. And I had

1:08:15

it today, actually. You're so

1:08:17

prophetic. Some things never change.

1:08:19

Just have a good memory.

1:08:21

That's all it is. Oh

1:08:24

my gosh, that is so

1:08:26

good. That

1:08:29

is so good. It

1:08:31

is it is just

1:08:34

so refreshing dead to

1:08:36

hear from. I've all

1:08:38

I keep telling our

1:08:40

dwellers that's what we

1:08:42

affectionately call those that

1:08:44

are in the basement

1:08:47

is our dwellers. And

1:08:49

I just keep exhorting

1:08:51

them and admonishing them

1:08:53

please find somebody with

1:08:55

gray hair. Please some.

1:08:57

find somebody with the

1:09:00

wisdom and the sagacity,

1:09:02

the vulnerability to share.

1:09:04

Don't do that. As

1:09:06

much as they tell

1:09:08

you to do, there

1:09:10

should be some things

1:09:13

they tell you not

1:09:15

to do based on

1:09:17

their own experiences. And

1:09:19

you are helping so

1:09:21

many people right now.

1:09:23

Hoping so many people

1:09:26

right now. Rather

1:09:28

than say, say, you offended

1:09:30

me. It's another opportunity to

1:09:32

say, well, there I go

1:09:34

again. I'm going to die.

1:09:37

I choose to not be

1:09:39

offended. This is just another

1:09:41

way for me to embrace

1:09:43

death and say, the more

1:09:45

I die, the more he

1:09:48

lives. More I die, the

1:09:50

more he lives. More I

1:09:52

die, the more he lives.

1:09:54

You're not going to have

1:09:57

any context to this, but

1:09:59

I'm just saying this and

1:10:01

like, probably nobody's going to

1:10:03

have context to this, except

1:10:05

for a Hector, Derek and

1:10:08

hoo. But that's why I'm

1:10:10

doing those ad reads. It's

1:10:12

just another opportunity for me

1:10:14

to die. That's it. That's

1:10:17

it right there. Yeah, if

1:10:19

we just got good at

1:10:21

dying, we would be great

1:10:23

at living. Yeah, if we

1:10:26

just got good at dying,

1:10:28

we would be great at

1:10:30

living. But we try to

1:10:32

do the opposite. And there's

1:10:34

too many churches. in the

1:10:37

West, in America in particular,

1:10:39

we have a message of

1:10:41

living. Good life, great life,

1:10:43

fresh life, odd life, and

1:10:46

it's like the, the, obviously

1:10:48

a message about dying isn't

1:10:50

popular and it is the

1:10:52

most necessary message to living.

1:10:54

Right. It's

1:10:57

just so counterintuitive to our

1:11:00

culture. I've never known an

1:11:02

anointed man that did not

1:11:04

have deep scars. I've never

1:11:06

known an anointed man or

1:11:09

a woman that had not

1:11:11

gone through a death process.

1:11:13

I've never known it. Tozer

1:11:16

said, God will not anoint

1:11:18

any man greatly, who is

1:11:20

not, whom he has not

1:11:23

crushed severely. Yes,

1:11:29

sir. And until that, we

1:11:31

have a piece of pottery

1:11:33

in our home, that big

1:11:36

from Brazil, Amazon pottery that

1:11:38

a missionary brought us in

1:11:40

the year 2000, and it

1:11:43

was crushed in transit. Over

1:11:45

a hundred pieces were in

1:11:47

the box. We threw it

1:11:49

away, and one of our

1:11:52

visitors had a 10-year-old daughter,

1:11:54

and she said, Dad, if

1:11:56

I were broken, you wouldn't

1:11:59

throw me away, would you?

1:12:01

So... They got all the

1:12:03

pieces out. That is our

1:12:06

that was Debbie's chief sentimental

1:12:08

peace on our home. It

1:12:10

still sits very visible in

1:12:13

my living room right now

1:12:15

and it is that pottery

1:12:17

that broken pottery to remind

1:12:19

me that unless the pottery

1:12:22

is broken the ointment the

1:12:24

perfume cannot escape and that's

1:12:26

why people cannot relate to

1:12:29

so many preachers because they're

1:12:31

broken people listening to preachers

1:12:33

listening to preachers that are

1:12:36

that are attempting to be,

1:12:38

you know, perfect. Absolutely. There's

1:12:40

a great word. It's the

1:12:42

word sinceira and it means

1:12:45

no wax. Right, correct. You

1:12:47

know, and it means that

1:12:49

to cover up the cracks,

1:12:52

right. The merchants within cover

1:12:54

with wax then paid over

1:12:56

it. And so sinceira means

1:12:59

no wax. And I think

1:13:01

people are looking for cracked

1:13:03

pots. Absolutely. That's what they're

1:13:06

looking for is cracked pots.

1:13:08

That's my testimony is that

1:13:10

crack pot. Yes. You know,

1:13:12

people are not perfect and

1:13:15

they cannot relate to perfect

1:13:17

people. They can't. They cannot.

1:13:19

Even Jesus who could not

1:13:22

be imperfected ensured that he

1:13:24

was still at least tempted

1:13:26

in the poems. Absolutely. Identify.

1:13:29

Identify this. And he was

1:13:31

too. That's absolutely true. At

1:13:33

all points. Yet without sin.

1:13:35

Yeah. Thank you, Jesus. All

1:13:38

righty then. Anything else you

1:13:40

want to? Wailay is with

1:13:42

before you before you get

1:13:45

out of here before you

1:13:47

drive off to do this

1:13:49

with somebody is Somebody else

1:13:52

your mentoring? Before you get

1:13:54

in your car and go

1:13:56

to your next hit. I

1:13:59

just want to say that

1:14:01

the bottom line is love.

1:14:03

Yeah. The bottom line is

1:14:05

love. How we love God,

1:14:08

how we love people. And

1:14:10

it's so contagious. It is.

1:14:12

Love is so contagious. Even

1:14:15

dogs. No, cats don't. Dogs.

1:14:17

So I have a great

1:14:19

story for you on this

1:14:22

and I want you to

1:14:24

expound on this, but I

1:14:26

have a great story. So

1:14:28

I'm learning Spanish right now.

1:14:31

I want to be fluent

1:14:33

by the time I'm 55.

1:14:35

I turn 50 this year.

1:14:38

I want to be fluent

1:14:40

by the time I'm 55

1:14:42

because I want to be

1:14:45

able to speak in Latin

1:14:47

America with no translator. God

1:14:49

gave me a word about

1:14:52

Latin America in 2008. And

1:14:54

he reminded me of the

1:14:56

word in 2020. And I

1:14:58

finally got serious about it

1:15:01

last year. So, huliana es

1:15:03

de Colombia. And I just

1:15:05

unsolicited unsolicitedly invited myself to

1:15:08

her mother's house. I was

1:15:10

like. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay.

1:15:12

Well, her mom wanted to

1:15:15

meet me. But her mom

1:15:17

wanting to meet me and

1:15:19

me saying, I wanna spend

1:15:21

a whole day with your

1:15:24

mama or two different things,

1:15:26

right? But I asked, I

1:15:28

said, could I just spend

1:15:31

the day at your house,

1:15:33

at your mom's house and

1:15:35

speak no English for as

1:15:38

long as your mom would

1:15:40

tolerate me? And she goes,

1:15:42

so she asked her mom,

1:15:45

her mom was so gracious,

1:15:47

like, yes, come over. So.

1:15:49

He could spend the night,

1:15:51

he could stay the weekend,

1:15:54

he can live here forever.

1:15:56

I'll have my husband leave.

1:15:58

My new son, right? So,

1:16:01

Huliana warns me. My mom

1:16:03

has this dog. And this

1:16:05

dog likes nobody, including the

1:16:08

family. This dog barks at

1:16:10

everyone, including us, so I

1:16:12

don't want you to feel

1:16:14

bad. It's not been trained

1:16:17

to bark at black people.

1:16:19

It's an equal opportunity hating

1:16:21

dog. She just wanted to

1:16:24

assure me this dog is

1:16:26

going to bark at everybody

1:16:28

that is not my mom.

1:16:31

Right? Barks at her husband.

1:16:33

It parks at everybody, right?

1:16:35

I walk in the house.

1:16:38

I look down at the

1:16:40

dog. The dog looks upset

1:16:42

me. And the dog never

1:16:44

barks. So I hug the

1:16:47

mom. We sit down. I'm

1:16:49

trying to get through my

1:16:51

broken Spanish. You know, I

1:16:54

got like the Spanish of

1:16:56

a four and a half

1:16:58

year old at the time.

1:17:01

And I'm trying to just

1:17:03

get through the conversation. And

1:17:05

at some point, Hoolie is

1:17:07

like, yeah, yeah, yeah, this

1:17:10

is all great. But this

1:17:12

dog though, this dog hasn't

1:17:14

barked yet. This has never

1:17:17

happened. It barks at everybody.

1:17:19

And to your point. To

1:17:21

your point. The love

1:17:24

of God and the peace

1:17:26

of God. Yeah. Even animals

1:17:28

can. Oh, they feel it.

1:17:30

Absolutely. They can fill it.

1:17:32

Yeah. They can fill it

1:17:34

when it's genuine and it's

1:17:36

not counterfeit. And so I

1:17:38

agree that that is the...

1:17:40

It's like the Holy Spirit.

1:17:42

It emanates. That's right. It

1:17:44

can fill a room. It

1:17:46

can discharge all the friction.

1:17:48

Friction. within minutes. Yes, they

1:17:50

can discharge all of that.

1:17:52

Yeah. The love of God

1:17:54

was so palpable of Jesus.

1:17:56

My dad could go to

1:17:58

a mall, sit down in

1:18:00

the middle of the mall

1:18:02

on a bench, and mom

1:18:04

went shopping. And we'd come

1:18:06

back and somebody's born again.

1:18:09

The roughest, toughest guys would

1:18:11

be born again, just sitting

1:18:13

there crying, receiving Jesus. His

1:18:15

love could melt in iceberg.

1:18:17

And I really, really pray

1:18:19

that we catch that love.

1:18:21

You know, we don't look

1:18:23

like Jesus if that love

1:18:25

is not there. I agree.

1:18:27

I was talking to a,

1:18:29

I was on another podcast

1:18:31

and they were setting me

1:18:33

up to debate a atheist.

1:18:35

And when we got on

1:18:37

the call, before we went

1:18:39

live, it was through like

1:18:41

Zoom. And so her name

1:18:43

is Mendeza, lovely lady. And

1:18:45

before we started, I said,

1:18:47

I love you. And she

1:18:49

said, well, you probably not

1:18:51

going to love me after

1:18:53

what I have to say

1:18:55

about your faith. I said,

1:18:57

I said, Whatever you

1:19:00

have to say about my faith,

1:19:02

it's not going to change the

1:19:04

love that I just declared to

1:19:07

you. I genuinely love you and

1:19:09

it's not conditional about if you

1:19:11

agree with me or not. She

1:19:14

was like, okay, you know, then

1:19:16

she found out, right? She faith

1:19:19

around and found out. So then,

1:19:21

later on, there was another guy

1:19:23

that came on, his name, and

1:19:26

it was probably his screen name,

1:19:28

but... He called himself Awnk, which

1:19:31

is the Egyptian cross with the

1:19:33

loop, the Awnk. He called himself

1:19:35

Awnk, the God killer, the killer

1:19:38

of our God. And while he,

1:19:40

the podcast wanted to be in

1:19:42

so long, I got off because

1:19:45

Julia is cute and I wanted

1:19:47

to spend time with her. Like

1:19:50

I wasn't going to argue all

1:19:52

night with these people. And so

1:19:54

I said, hey, Awnk, it's a

1:19:57

pleasure to meet you. I love

1:19:59

you. And he goes, oh brother,

1:20:02

you ain't gonna love me after

1:20:04

what I have to say, and

1:20:06

I told him the exact same

1:20:09

thing that I told Mandisa, and

1:20:11

it has become, obviously I didn't

1:20:13

start off like this 29 years

1:20:16

ago, but every single year, dad,

1:20:18

it has become the easiest thing

1:20:21

for me to say to a

1:20:23

person, genuinely, looking them right in

1:20:25

their eyeballs. I love you. And

1:20:28

it's so disruptive, because in a

1:20:30

world filled with cynicism and filled

1:20:33

with negativity and filled with. distrust.

1:20:35

That just seems so, it's so

1:20:37

counterintuitive. That's true. To hear and

1:20:40

counter cultural. Yeah. It's not a

1:20:42

facet of God. It's everything. It

1:20:44

is him. Yeah, it's everything. He

1:20:47

is love. He is love. He

1:20:49

is love. Thank you so much.

1:20:52

That's a pleasure. You have, as

1:20:54

always filled my heart up to

1:20:56

the point of overflow. I

1:21:00

love you. I love you

1:21:03

Tim. And I missed you

1:21:05

so much. I'm just glad

1:21:07

this worked out. Yeah. Thank

1:21:09

you. That's a pleasure. Thank

1:21:12

you. I'm honored. I think

1:21:14

I'm honored more. Well maybe

1:21:16

you're honored more. You're older.

1:21:19

But I think I'm honored

1:21:21

more. Yeah. We'll have a

1:21:23

dance off in the parking

1:21:25

lot. Whoever wins the danceoff

1:21:28

is more honored. I think

1:21:30

you will win. Okay, I

1:21:32

do. Okay, you know what?

1:21:35

I thought I was done,

1:21:37

but I do want to

1:21:39

mention one thing that I

1:21:41

think many people would have

1:21:44

missed. And that is the

1:21:46

level of the creative. The

1:21:48

creativity. Obviously in a format

1:21:51

like this. We have a

1:21:53

lot of people. that are

1:21:55

creatives that listen and those

1:21:57

that are into the arts,

1:22:00

music, theater, stage plays, singers,

1:22:02

rappers, rappers, dancers, liturgical and

1:22:04

otherwise. That is a huge

1:22:07

part of why the ministries

1:22:09

that God ushered through you

1:22:11

was so successful is because

1:22:13

you are as much a

1:22:16

creative. as you are apostolic

1:22:18

and pastoral. What encouragement do

1:22:20

you have for creatives in?

1:22:23

Well, I just, I really

1:22:25

miss it in most churches.

1:22:27

I think it's absent, except

1:22:29

you have one person speaking

1:22:32

and then you have a

1:22:34

few people that are leading

1:22:36

the worship and some instrumentalists.

1:22:39

I love pageantry, I love

1:22:41

production, I love creativity, whether

1:22:43

it is art. I'm a

1:22:45

musician personally, I am not

1:22:48

artistic, I can't even draw

1:22:50

stick figures or you know,

1:22:52

I just paint by number,

1:22:55

I mix that up, you

1:22:57

know, it's just, but I

1:22:59

have such an appreciation for

1:23:01

the arts because it's the

1:23:04

nature of God. Yes. Now

1:23:06

we're creative, we're not creator.

1:23:08

Correct. Everything that we do

1:23:10

has already been created. Absolutely.

1:23:13

Absolutely. I don't think people

1:23:15

understand. I was watching, I've

1:23:17

seen it on Broadway, I

1:23:20

think, three times, The Lion

1:23:22

King, and I cry all

1:23:24

the time. Me too. Open

1:23:26

a scene. I just cry.

1:23:29

Face is wet. And I

1:23:31

don't know why I cry

1:23:33

is because I see God

1:23:36

and everything. And it's totally

1:23:38

secular, but I see God

1:23:40

who gave that ability, these

1:23:42

people, to do stuff like

1:23:45

this. I've never seen anything

1:23:47

like it. It's my favorite

1:23:49

music of the world. Yeah.

1:23:52

And I think... if people

1:23:54

only knew that don't even

1:23:56

know God, where that... came

1:23:58

from that came from your

1:24:01

dad yes good came from

1:24:03

your dad and I think

1:24:05

I think if they only understood

1:24:08

that from eternity whether

1:24:10

you're a believer or not a

1:24:12

believer you still have that imprimatur

1:24:15

right that stamp yes yes

1:24:17

yes yes you were created

1:24:19

in the image of God yeah

1:24:21

and it is inside you so I

1:24:23

love to see people release I One

1:24:25

of the guys, we had two guys

1:24:28

that worked full-time for us writing music,

1:24:30

writing worship music at our first church,

1:24:32

musicals, and so I asked the one guy,

1:24:34

he said, I want you, he was a

1:24:36

Hawaiian guy, said, I want you to write

1:24:39

a full-length opera on the book of

1:24:41

Esther. He said, I've never even written

1:24:43

a chorus. It is a Hawaiian accent,

1:24:45

and he would come into my, I

1:24:47

said, I don't want you to write a

1:24:49

chorus, I want you to write a

1:24:51

full-length opera. Yeah. the book of Esther

1:24:53

I wanted at least two hours every

1:24:55

day and come in I can't do that

1:24:58

I said yes you can go back

1:25:00

and pray right right right right right

1:25:02

back to his office and pray one

1:25:04

Wednesday night he said can I skip

1:25:06

church I said sure what's happening he

1:25:08

said I think I'm getting some ideas

1:25:11

well full-length opera on the book of

1:25:13

Esther came out of it like unbelievable

1:25:16

unbelievable unbelievable

1:25:18

and I think that inside us,

1:25:20

if we only understand, we don't

1:25:22

need to be like anybody else.

1:25:25

Correct. Everybody is original. Correct. If

1:25:27

we want to understand that inside

1:25:29

me, inside me, policy, you don't

1:25:31

need to look for the heavens to

1:25:33

bring Christ down. He's already here. You

1:25:35

don't have to try to bring him

1:25:37

up from shill or Hades. He's in

1:25:39

here. The word, the creative word is

1:25:42

inside you. Everything you need.

1:25:44

Just understand it's in here. And the

1:25:46

amazing thing that you can do whenever you

1:25:48

begin to get out of the boat and

1:25:50

walk on water in your creativity, it is

1:25:53

amazing what God can do. Absolutely.

1:25:55

The brilliance, the brilliance, the brilliance

1:25:57

of that is inside people. I

1:26:00

think it just needs to be

1:26:02

encouraged. You know, these piano players

1:26:04

that are just playing chopsticks now,

1:26:07

but they could be incredible. Yes.

1:26:09

Encourage them. Yes. Just encourage them.

1:26:11

It's inside you. It's inside you.

1:26:14

And I love doing it. I

1:26:16

love to see the gold in

1:26:18

the drawers and start pulling it

1:26:21

out. Yeah. I love to be

1:26:23

a gold digger. Me too. Well,

1:26:25

you did it with me. And

1:26:28

there was already, at the time

1:26:30

I met you. I already knew

1:26:32

I was supposed to be preaching

1:26:34

and teaching, but it was at

1:26:37

a kingdom global conference in Detroit.

1:26:39

I'll never forget this as long

1:26:41

as I live. You had two

1:26:44

tracks. You had a room for

1:26:46

those that felt like they were

1:26:48

prophetic, and then you had a

1:26:51

room for those that were apostolic.

1:26:53

I didn't know which one to

1:26:55

go to. I didn't think I

1:26:57

was either. And I was like,

1:27:00

I think I'm gonna go to

1:27:02

one with the prophetic one. And

1:27:04

then I was like, No, I'm

1:27:07

gonna go to the one about

1:27:09

the apostles. And I went in

1:27:11

there and there was a missionary

1:27:14

from India. Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka,

1:27:16

whose hands were so disfigured, because

1:27:18

every time they caught him planting

1:27:20

the church, they would smash his

1:27:23

hands. And he started talking about.

1:27:26

how he just basically disguises

1:27:28

his church planting as like

1:27:30

building homes. And I'm a

1:27:32

home builder, I just build

1:27:34

homes, but he's really planning

1:27:36

churches. And how his life

1:27:38

has been threatened so many

1:27:40

times and how much he's

1:27:42

been persecuted. First of all,

1:27:44

I thought, I've done nothing

1:27:46

in ministry. However many years

1:27:48

I had been saved and

1:27:50

wherever I preach, I'm like.

1:27:52

I'm terrible, I suck. I

1:27:54

have done nothing. That's number

1:27:56

one. And then number two.

1:28:01

I feel like I'm I

1:28:03

feel like I'm a builder.

1:28:05

I feel like God has

1:28:07

get downloaded paradigms that are

1:28:09

that that that that will

1:28:11

equip people so they can

1:28:13

be sent to do it.

1:28:15

God's called them to do.

1:28:17

That came out that was

1:28:19

solidified for me in Detroit.

1:28:21

I'll never forget it was

1:28:23

a kingdom global conference that

1:28:26

that was solidified in me.

1:28:28

And that's, I know for

1:28:30

a fact that what I

1:28:32

learned that day is what

1:28:34

helped me plant embassy city

1:28:36

church and leave it. I

1:28:38

knew what I had to

1:28:40

be there 30 or 40

1:28:42

years. I just had to

1:28:44

build it, get it up,

1:28:46

and then wait for the

1:28:48

Holy Spirit to tell me

1:28:51

to do what was next.

1:28:53

And this is what was

1:28:55

next. And. This is as

1:28:57

apostolic as that was. Amen.

1:28:59

Amen. In Equipping the Saints

1:29:01

so they can go do

1:29:03

the work of the ministry.

1:29:05

Thank you. Double thank you

1:29:07

now. That's a pleasure. Yeah,

1:29:09

I love you so much.

1:29:11

Okay everybody. I've been Tim

1:29:13

Ross and that's been my

1:29:16

dad. Larry Titus. Yes, I

1:29:18

have a white dad too.

1:29:20

I got my bio dad.

1:29:22

Charles Edward was in heaven

1:29:24

and hanging out with Debbie

1:29:26

my spiritual mommy and then

1:29:28

I got my daddy here

1:29:30

Larry Titus So much of

1:29:32

what you hear out of

1:29:34

me is because of what

1:29:36

he put into me At

1:29:38

original pancake house and in

1:29:41

his office I'm just grateful.

1:29:43

I love you I love

1:29:45

you I love you. Thank

1:29:47

you all so much for

1:29:49

listening until next time Peace.
