Verifying integrity, verifying

0:07

integrity. Hello

0:28

and welcome to the 496th

0:30

edition of The Fallout Feed.

0:32

I am Andrew joined by

0:34

a flock of my favorite

0:36

fallout folks tonight. I've got

0:38

Jess. What's up Jess? Hey

0:40

Andrew Creps everybody? And

0:43

also Ray. What's up Ray? Hello,

0:45

hello. And also returning. Long

0:47

time guest and feedback participants.

0:49

Silioor. What's going on, sir?

0:52

How are you today? Welcome

0:54

back to the show. Yeah,

0:56

thanks for having me. Always

0:58

great time whenever I can

1:00

hang out with you. Absolutely.

1:03

Welcome. So off the top

1:05

here, we'll get into our

1:07

gameplay with lots of weird

1:09

three-letter acronyms. I don't know,

1:11

Jess and Eric are fighting

1:14

in the notes somehow. We

1:16

got a fallout top five from

1:18

Will's back with the top five

1:20

things you didn't know about Mama

1:22

Murphy. I hear she has a

1:25

drug issue. Oh, I knew that I knew

1:27

that. Oh, I saw that somewhere.

1:29

Yeah, maybe, maybe, maybe,

1:32

I think June maybe

1:34

leaked that somewhere.

1:36

Roundtable stuff. We're

1:38

getting into some roundtable

1:41

quests. Steel Rain, Quest

1:43

3 and 4. We

1:46

are playing out of

1:48

the blue and a

1:50

satisfied coincidence.

1:52

What does that mean? Oh,

1:54

did I write that wrong?

1:56

No, I read that wrong.

1:59

Conscience. Iguanabits. some uh... shouts on

2:01

the way out the door so

2:03

uh... we'll talk a little bit

2:05

about uh... west johnson illness and

2:07

recovery and uh... a little bit

2:09

about the uh... general fallout calendar

2:11

so let's go ahead and roll

2:13

right into it and let's have

2:15

a guest have honor so uh...

2:17

well good get to mr solior

2:19

to get chance playing a video

2:21

games this week sir or not

2:23

the only this week but what

2:25

do you mean since last time

2:27

you've been on the show Are

2:29

you sure you want to start

2:31

with me? It might take a

2:33

while. Yeah, go ahead man. Do

2:36

it. Oh God. So kind of

2:38

like the last time I was

2:40

on the show, I played a

2:42

little bit of a lot of

2:44

different things. And you know, the

2:46

last time I was on,

2:48

I was going through Dragon

2:50

Age Inquisition in anticipation for.

2:52

Oh, for the. And yeah.

2:54

Oh, did you play the

2:56

new one too? Yeah, you

2:58

might have heard about that

3:01

on the show. A lot

3:03

of people were saying that

3:05

I stole them away from

3:07

the roundtable. So yeah, I

3:09

played through and actually finished

3:11

the game and didn't like

3:13

one of the things that

3:15

happened. So I went back

3:17

and played the third act

3:19

over again to get the

3:22

ending that I wanted. Because

3:24

my my comparison for this

3:26

is with the the suicide

3:28

mission in MassFect 2 where

3:30

you put people in the

3:32

right position to have the

3:34

best results and I didn't

3:36

like one of them so

3:38

yeah those final missions I

3:40

understand calling them all again

3:43

you know it went well

3:45

for me the first time.

3:47

But if something goes wrong,

3:49

you make one big mistake

3:51

at the beginning, it can

3:53

really change the feel. And

3:55

I get why you did

3:57

that. I mean, there's no

3:59

100% happy. ending anyway you

4:01

go but I didn't like

4:04

one of the results I

4:06

went back and changed it

4:08

sorry to the person that

4:11

was a effect of that

4:13

I mean I played the whole

4:16

way through that was a

4:18

effect of that I mean I

4:20

played the whole way through that

4:22

first time but yeah I

4:24

went back and started a

4:26

new character I liked it

4:28

that much and I'm still

4:30

in the first act collecting

4:33

all the companions but and

4:35

I'm taking my time with

4:37

it. When you go back and play

4:39

Dragon Age what three or whatever

4:41

it is inquisition when you go

4:43

back and play the old one

4:45

before that one do you find

4:47

it you catch things you didn't

4:49

catch the first time or like

4:51

it puts you in the mood

4:53

for the the next one or

4:55

what's what's happening with that? Well

4:57

because. Inquisition because I did

4:59

it with fallout too when stuff comes

5:02

up things that happen in the veil

5:04

guard Especially with things that happen in

5:06

the What's the DLC called again? starts

5:08

with a T right is this one where

5:11

you can carry like a progress forward

5:13

with characters from previous games? You know

5:15

how games do that sometimes you can

5:17

do that here in the first three

5:19

you can? Yep, not the newest one

5:22

so much. But there are a couple

5:24

there are a couple little things in

5:26

this one. Yeah, I mean a

5:28

little bit not not a ton

5:30

but yeah some of the things

5:32

that you because it does ask

5:34

you some of the things in

5:36

the tutorial that happened in acquisition

5:39

kind of like what which are

5:41

three does based on what happens

5:43

in which are two so like it

5:45

kind of makes references to a few

5:47

things that your character did because well

5:50

now I probably shouldn't mention that. No

5:52

we wouldn't go into spoils necessarily although it's

5:54

been out for you know three four months now

5:56

but here we go quick quick way to wrap

5:58

Dragon Age if you had to rank this

6:00

Dragon Age in the pantheon of

6:02

Dragon Ages where would you put

6:05

the veilguard and what else would

6:07

you have? That's tough because I

6:09

mean they're all great in their

6:11

own. Have you played the mall?

6:14

They're all so different yeah they're

6:16

all different from each other so

6:18

it's kind of hard to rank

6:20

them but I have said several

6:22

times that it's one of my

6:25

favorite games that I've played in

6:27

the last year. And the fact

6:29

that I actually did finish it

6:31

is a huge accomplishment because it's

6:34

on record that I have such

6:36

a bad habit of getting really

6:38

far in games and then not

6:40

finishing them. Best time to start

6:42

a game is like 80% of

6:45

the way through. At least that's

6:47

what I hear from you. Yeah,

6:49

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that

6:51

on this show actually. Yeah, but

6:54

yeah, I've not only finished it

6:56

I started a brand new game

6:58

and have been playing it and

7:00

it's I picked a different play

7:02

style from my first character Which

7:05

I've I've played a rogue the

7:07

entire series now I'm playing a

7:09

major and it's so different so

7:11

it kind of does give it

7:14

a little bit of a fresh

7:16

coat of paint Just in the

7:18

gameplay But I wanted to finish

7:20

that before I moved on and

7:22

played Indiana Jones. And Indiana Jones

7:25

is such an amazing game too.

7:27

I actually did finish that. And

7:29

it does such a great job

7:31

of basically making like putting you

7:34

in an Indiana Jones movie. Troy

7:36

Baker is Indiana Jones. There's like

7:38

he does, like he sounds exactly

7:40

like him. He actually did the

7:42

motion cap for it as well.

7:45

So and Voss is such a

7:47

great villain and he does such

7:49

a good job of making you

7:51

hate him and then cheer for

7:54

when things happen to him like

7:56

when he gets his nose broken

7:58

or something like that. Because

8:00

you're just wanting to do

8:02

it yourself. But yeah, Indiana

8:05

Jones is such a, if

8:07

you haven't played it, definitely

8:09

play it. And I'm sure

8:11

that you'll be playing it

8:13

before. Tell them that I think

8:15

you'd enjoy it. You know, it's

8:17

a good game. Yeah, I love that

8:20

style of stuff. You know, I

8:22

always go on about how uncharted

8:24

is great. You know, and I

8:27

love those Indiana Jones movies so

8:29

much. And it's got yeah

8:31

some some great puzzles

8:33

as well and really does

8:36

reward you for exploring

8:38

There is an underground boxing

8:40

like a fight club. We

8:43

don't I mean we don't talk

8:45

about what are you doing talking

8:47

about it out loud get off

8:49

the show with that nonsense

8:52

stop it but it does

8:54

prepare you for like like

8:56

fighting in the game, like

8:59

when you're getting swarmed by

9:01

enemies, if you get discovered

9:03

and you're not great, it's

9:05

stealth like I am. Although

9:08

the stealth is pretty satisfying,

9:10

like walking up to somebody

9:12

with a pole and like

9:15

racking them and then whacking

9:17

them in the face when they

9:19

turn around. But yeah, there is

9:21

a point to learning how to

9:23

like one-on-one like fist fight

9:26

well. learning all that like

9:28

the dodging and the blocking

9:30

and things like that not

9:33

completely wasting your stamina so

9:35

you have you can actually

9:38

counterpunch so yeah I

9:40

wrapped up with with Indiana Jones

9:42

I was like okay well I've got

9:44

about a month before a Vowd comes

9:46

out what can I I play in

9:49

that time? And a lot of people

9:51

have been talking to me about Dead

9:53

Space and saying how great of a

9:55

game that is and I need to

9:57

play that. And I'm like, yeah, you know.

10:00

It's about 90% off in this

10:02

store. Why don't I try that?

10:04

Scary space game, right? Yeah, with,

10:06

yeah, you're in space and your

10:09

ship. The art is like a

10:11

dead hand with a wrapping something.

10:14

So yeah, I had several

10:16

people telling me that it

10:18

was a great game. One

10:20

of them was Kelsey, who

10:22

I do a couple of

10:24

podcasts with. I'm like, I

10:26

don't know, I'll try it.

10:28

So I tried it and

10:31

the controls are ridiculous. I died

10:33

so quickly the first time

10:35

because you had to be

10:37

able to shoot your gun,

10:40

you have to pull the

10:42

left trigger and then pull

10:44

the right trigger. Because if

10:46

you can't shoot from the

10:49

hip, because if you try

10:51

that, you're stomping on

10:53

the ground. It's like, it's,

10:55

it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's,

10:57

it's, it's, you can shoot, you

11:00

can stomp them once, like, so

11:02

basically what you gotta do

11:04

is you gotta shoot their

11:06

legs out and then stomp their

11:09

heads, you're not wasting a

11:11

bunch of ammo. But I did

11:13

make it out of the first

11:15

area. It's, like, it's, I don't

11:17

know, it's different. I don't, I

11:19

don't know. How much more I'm

11:21

going to do, and it's just

11:23

like, man, it's going from so

11:25

many games, like, having to get

11:28

used to those controls, it's a

11:30

bit much, but I am enjoying

11:32

it, I think. Yeah, you've been

11:34

playing a lot the last, you

11:37

know, few months, I mean, variety

11:39

of games it looks like.

11:41

Yeah. So I recently picked

11:43

up the latest Zelda game,

11:45

Legend of Zelda, Ekos of

11:47

Wisdom. And that has been

11:49

pretty fun as well. It's

11:51

got the same art style

11:54

as the Links Awakening remake

11:56

that came out in 2019. But

11:58

this is the first. time you

12:00

actually get to play as Zelda

12:02

which fun you've been able to

12:05

play as her in other games

12:07

but they've been spin-offs this is

12:09

like a mainline game and her

12:11

her play style is completely different

12:14

from Link as it should be

12:16

like you're not going around swinging

12:18

a sword shooting a bow you're

12:21

using magic so basically like you

12:23

defeat an enemy like you throw

12:25

a rocket an enemy And then

12:27

you can actually absorb the essence

12:30

of that enemy and you can

12:32

use them in puzzles and game

12:34

like fighting and things like that

12:36

depending on what they are Also

12:38

you can use it you can

12:40

summon a bed to regain your

12:42

health things like that So may

12:44

she can do fucking magic why

12:46

am I constantly coming to save

12:48

her fucking ass over and over

12:50

and over and use your magic

12:52

on those other games? Come on

12:54

those other games come on Yeah,

12:57

I mean she she did do pretty

12:59

decently and like she did help

13:01

you a lot in the last

13:03

two games and breath of the

13:06

wild and echoes and not ecosivism.

13:08

Tears of the kingdom. I haven't

13:10

finished either those yet. You're still

13:13

playing breath of the wild all

13:15

these years later. I got past

13:17

the first two Titans or whatever

13:19

those things are called and I

13:21

haven't gone back to. Oh, yeah. So

13:23

it's because I control or drift. Don't

13:25

blame me. Oh, I had that too. I

13:28

actually had to have a JoyCon

13:30

replaced because of that. And now it

13:32

doesn't say it's connected to the

13:34

tablet. But anyway, I mean, it's

13:36

an OG, like year one switch.

13:38

So I guess that's to be expected.

13:41

But we do have the new

13:43

one coming out here in the

13:45

next few months. So. Is that

13:47

officially announced yet? It was announced they

13:49

haven't said when it's kind of

13:51

come out, but we've had a

13:53

big Reveal on April 2nd. Yeah,

13:55

they've announced to the announcement. They

13:57

have declared the date that we will

13:59

Well they do like November

14:02

Christmas release or like... Gotta be

14:04

seen. Gotta be seen. Gotta be seen.

14:06

A lot of people are saying summer

14:08

but who knows? They usually

14:10

don't tell us until about a

14:13

month ahead of time if that. Anyway

14:15

yeah I made it through the first

14:17

engine about to take on a second

14:19

one. Then we had speaking of prex

14:22

we had the Xbox direct and one

14:24

of the things that was shown

14:26

was Ninja Guidin. And so I've

14:29

never played a Ninja guiding

14:31

game. Just to talk about

14:33

that last week. Yeah. Yeah. So

14:35

I, one of them is now on

14:37

Game Pass, so I thought I'd

14:40

try it out. And I've been

14:42

playing it through the cloud and

14:44

got to the big boss in

14:46

the second area and he is

14:48

completely kicking my ass. within a

14:51

few seconds. It's such a fast

14:53

pace. Like you can't get away

14:55

from him. You'll try dodging, you'll

14:57

try blocking, he'll still take half

14:59

her life within a few seconds.

15:02

I've gotten him down to half-life

15:04

and I can't. I can't, I don't

15:06

know. So where Shinobi just popped in

15:08

my head? Was that one of the

15:10

games in the series or something? Or

15:12

no, was that have nothing to do

15:14

with that one? There's one called

15:17

Sigma, Sigma, I think. But

15:19

I don't know about Shinobi.

15:21

Sorry. Oh, wait, there

15:23

isn't Shinobi a character and

15:26

that's gonna bother me now

15:28

too. Sorry. Anyway, yeah, it

15:30

is fun. It's very difficult,

15:32

but it is satisfying like

15:35

disarming people literally

15:37

and then just

15:39

completely like obliterating

15:42

them. So yeah, that's been fine. I

15:44

might have to look up to see

15:46

if the boss, that guy has any

15:48

weaknesses that I'm not seeing. I'm sure

15:51

some of them can be tough. I

15:53

remember they were in the original. I

15:55

mean, the NES games, sorry, the NES

15:57

games are quite difficult. I

16:00

didn't play much of the new one.

16:02

So I want to play, you know, Ninja

16:04

Guide in Black too, now that it's out

16:06

on Game Pass, just haven't yet.

16:08

But I'm glad you're enjoying

16:10

it. Yeah, and it actually works really

16:12

well through the cloud too, surprisingly,

16:15

because that's how I've been playing

16:17

it, because I just don't have

16:19

a space for it. Right, right. I

16:21

mean, that's a nice way to make up

16:23

for the size of the hard drive, you

16:26

know, is being able to be able to

16:28

cloud drive. Yeah, I remember before

16:30

I upgraded my console,

16:33

I tried Ghostwater Tokyo

16:35

with the cloud and I

16:38

didn't like I couldn't

16:40

see anything. It looked like

16:42

I had sunglasses on indoors

16:44

with the lights off. It

16:47

was so bad. But yeah,

16:49

it's been fun. Like I guess

16:51

I have to see if that boss

16:53

has a week. But Next, like

16:55

I've been playing CF Thieves again

16:57

with some friends, a couple of

17:00

groups of friends and that's been

17:02

a lot of fun. So, like I've

17:04

been wanting to play CF Thieves for

17:06

a while, but it's one of those

17:08

games where I just had it in my

17:10

mind that it just wasn't good

17:13

unless you're playing with people. So,

17:15

yeah, I had the chance to and

17:17

I got the taste for it again

17:19

and I've actually... I was playing

17:21

with a friend last weekend and

17:23

like I was so stupid like

17:26

I spent all of my gold

17:28

on cosmetics. You know, but

17:30

they're there, it's hard not

17:32

to, right? The atom shop has

17:35

trained us. That's a really cool

17:37

looking sword. I want that. Here's,

17:40

yeah, sure, I'll spend 60, 70,000

17:42

gold on that skin. But then

17:44

I didn't have any money to

17:47

buy my own ship. played with

17:49

a friend over the weekend and

17:51

we raised, I think, almost, it was

17:53

over 300,000 gold within an hour.

17:55

Oh, that's good. So I was

17:57

able to buy one to two

17:59

persons. loop. And so I've been

18:01

going out on doing these really

18:04

easy like one star missions on

18:06

my own. And it's been fun

18:09

like going and taking on a

18:11

skeleton hoard or finding a couple

18:13

of chests a buried treasure within

18:16

like a half hour or something

18:18

like that. So yeah, that's been

18:20

fun. And it's such a beautiful

18:23

game too. Like, I don't understand

18:25

how Indiana Jones and see

18:27

if these both do not have

18:29

an actual photo mode, especially Indiana

18:32

Jones, considering like one of

18:34

the big features in the

18:36

game is a camera. Like you use

18:39

it to collect evidence, things like

18:41

that. It's like, okay, but just

18:43

let me take some like official

18:46

like photo mode shots. Well yeah

18:48

and that's kind of what I

18:50

had to do especially with like

18:52

with games like if they do give

18:54

you the option to hide your head

18:57

sure but yeah in India I

18:59

mean see if these is an

19:01

online game so you can't pause

19:03

it yeah right so you have

19:05

to be careful like it's got

19:07

such it's such a beautiful game

19:09

you just sit there and watch

19:11

the sunrise or sunset and then

19:13

crash into a rock as you

19:15

just get captivated it.

19:17

So yeah, and then what I'm

19:19

not doing my fallout, the

19:21

roundtable quest in fall out 76,

19:24

I have been doing a lot

19:26

of raids. Yeah, thank you, Lee.

19:28

I knew I'd heard the name

19:30

Shinobi before. So yeah, it's

19:32

just so like I'll get

19:34

in there and I'm trying to

19:36

do my dailies and somebody will

19:39

send me a party chat and

19:41

like, hey, can do this raid

19:43

with me. I'm like, all right,

19:45

cool. And I it's the rates

19:48

are are tough but they

19:50

are a lot of fun.

19:52

I've actually been able to

19:54

complete several without the game

19:56

crashing or freezing on me

19:58

so that's been great. But they

20:00

give you so much crap in these

20:02

raids that you have to like

20:05

it. It can completely fill your

20:07

stash with these serums and

20:09

fusion cores and things like

20:11

that. But yeah, it's cucumber

20:14

salad if you make it

20:16

through. Yeah, but yeah, it is

20:18

rewarding because it is tough. But

20:20

it's doable. And I, from

20:22

what I hear, they're going to

20:25

be expanding on them.

20:27

So that'll be interesting.

20:29

Man, that is, oh, how could I

20:31

forget Starfield? I have

20:33

been playing a lot of

20:36

Starfield lately as well. I've

20:38

been wanting to for a

20:40

while, so I've been streaming

20:42

it, and I hadn't been

20:44

doing a lot with my

20:46

streaming character for a while.

20:48

So I was in there

20:50

doing some free star Ranger

20:52

stuff, and I picked up

20:54

a mod. that gives you an

20:56

outpost like a player house on

20:59

this planet that's the system that

21:01

starts with a V and blanking

21:03

on it and my jump. my

21:05

light year jump was not good enough

21:07

to get there even from the last

21:09

part in the jump line the jump

21:12

chain like what is it out like

21:14

all the way out in the lasney

21:16

or something maybe no it's it

21:18

starts with it's not the lasney

21:20

but it does start with another

21:22

C okay I'll think of or

21:24

Ray will you know like even with

21:27

the basic manta ship which is

21:29

what I've been flying around with

21:31

because the one that I tried

21:33

to make with the little funds

21:36

that I had off of the

21:38

frontier was not great. So yeah,

21:40

I didn't have my pilings

21:42

go up, so that's one thing

21:44

I worked on off stream. And

21:46

so I did a little bit

21:49

of work on the Mantis ship

21:51

and was able to get out

21:53

to that outpost. It is cool.

21:55

But then, you know, I was

21:58

chatting with Jess here and

22:00

she mentioned Varoon, house

22:02

varoon haps and my

22:04

ears immediately. Yeah, ship

22:06

haves, yep. Because varoon

22:09

ships have always been

22:11

my favorite to common

22:13

deer. So I was looking at

22:16

the pictures, I was like,

22:18

okay, this is freaking awesome.

22:20

So I built a completely

22:22

new ship with my main

22:25

character. And well, I mean, I've

22:27

been doing outposts building too because

22:30

I wanted to get the the

22:32

ship builder in the in my outposts.

22:34

I didn't have to fly out to

22:36

right helps you do a lot a

22:38

lot more variety out ready. So I've

22:40

been I've just been doing a lot

22:43

of building both with ship building and

22:45

outposts building. And yeah, with the house

22:47

room. Habs, you have to have your

22:50

own, like a specific shipbuilder, like not

22:52

the normal shipbuilder, you have a specific

22:54

one that includes the houseroom Habs, that

22:57

way you don't have to go out

22:59

to where you get the, because there's a

23:01

little quest involved, so you don't have

23:03

to go out to Mercury to build.

23:05

Wicked short, it doesn't actually count as

23:08

a quest, it's wicked short, but like

23:10

all of the different, you know, ship

23:12

manufacturers, you get their parts out there,

23:14

Star Station. So there is a Veroon

23:17

star station, but there's like a mini

23:19

little shipbuilder location for it. And you

23:21

can build it at your base. So

23:23

I mean, crafting is not something I've

23:25

done a lot with in Starfield. So

23:27

I'm trying to do more of that.

23:30

That way it can build like

23:32

spacesuit and weapon mods, things like

23:34

that. So yeah, building is super

23:36

addicting no matter what game you're

23:38

in, at least as far as I'm

23:40

concerned. Yeah, that's that's about it with

23:42

me. I did pick up another mod

23:44

that adds vendors into your to your

23:46

outpost and it's a it's a from

23:48

a verified creator and it's achievement

23:50

friendly, but what I thought was

23:53

interesting about it is that you're

23:55

literally building people. So you're not

23:57

building like a booth for these people.

23:59

to go to, you're literally building

24:02

the actual vendor and there, I

24:04

mean, maybe there's since, I don't

24:06

know, I haven't actually built one

24:08

yet, but I thought it was interesting,

24:11

like, I think it was the

24:13

general vendor, you have to, you build

24:15

them with a CD player, and I

24:17

can't remember what the other thing was. I

24:20

was like, what? Okay. We'll see how

24:22

this goes. That way, I don't

24:24

have to constantly make trips to

24:26

the den to get these supplies,

24:28

the resources. But yeah, that's

24:30

about it for me. I

24:32

think I was able to

24:34

condense that pretty well considering

24:36

it was a pretty

24:39

long list Did you know? That

24:41

the atom cats and fallout for

24:43

so they're called the atom

24:46

cats the Yeah, the mechanic

24:48

guys the hot roter guys

24:50

Is that what they were? Yes,

24:52

spray paint in their power arm

24:54

or stuff? Did you know that

24:57

they were obsessed with? a

25:00

house in the house of Aroon

25:02

in Starfield? No I

25:04

did not. How do you know this

25:07

Andrew? Vroom! Vroom! I knew it

25:09

was coming. Oh my god. Also

25:11

Ray I apologize I have also

25:14

not been playing fall at

25:16

London. I've been one too.

25:18

I think you can apologize

25:20

for Andrew's joke. I would

25:23

never apologize for Andrew's joke.

25:25

No I would never I would

25:28

never apologize for Puns.

25:30

Yeah Ray I have also haven't

25:32

been playing Fallout London so

25:35

you guys blackers I do need

25:37

to though because I want to

25:39

see if I can actually finish

25:41

the vagabond stuff finally well

25:43

Ray have you played any fallout

25:46

London this week I have indeed and

25:48

are you serious you did yeah

25:50

that's funny do you start a

25:52

wait you started a new character

25:55

in that recently though didn't you

25:57

was just a new new character

25:59

well no I I had a character

26:01

that I hadn't, I don't know,

26:03

it's hard to keep track

26:05

of them. Yeah, you're level

26:08

200, you're talking about, the

26:10

204. That's in Starfield. In

26:12

Fallout London, I had a

26:15

character that I hadn't really

26:17

done much with. I'd started

26:19

them out and then, you know,

26:22

left them to do something else.

26:24

So I fired them back up and

26:26

I went through the gangs. gang

26:28

war quests. Because I

26:30

realized I hadn't done anything more

26:33

than just made it to where

26:35

I was able to join the

26:37

vagamons, but I didn't really want

26:40

to. Right. Because I wanted to

26:42

do other things. So you never

26:44

finished all the island dog

26:46

stuff and the rest of that?

26:48

Right. So I went through that.

26:50

This character hadn't done anything.

26:52

He had been to the swan and

26:55

miter, but, you know, not spent

26:57

any time there. And so

26:59

I went back and

27:01

went through that whole

27:03

thing. And it's pretty

27:06

interesting. So

27:08

there's basically three

27:11

different endings you

27:13

can come up with that.

27:16

There's you can side

27:18

with the dogs, you can

27:21

side with the

27:23

vagabonds or you can

27:25

forge peace. From a

27:27

gaming's perspective, forging peace

27:30

is the worst. Really,

27:32

as far as the benefit,

27:34

you mean? Yeah, you get

27:36

none. Oh, jeez, yeah, who wants

27:38

that? And yeah, get the

27:40

pleasure of a job well done,

27:43

Ray. Yeah, that must be it.

27:45

Role playing is its own

27:47

reward. Yeah. But it's an

27:50

interesting questline. It's a... It's

27:52

got a lot of twists and turns

27:54

to it. So it was a lot

27:57

of fun. I'm glad I'm glad I

27:59

went through it. And, you know,

28:01

none of the rewards

28:03

are particularly big. But,

28:06

you know, there's

28:09

a lot of interesting

28:11

story involved with it.

28:14

So it's a good one

28:16

to go through, no matter

28:19

which way you choose. The

28:21

one thing I realize

28:23

going through that. So, at

28:25

the very beginning

28:28

of the game. Sebastian

28:30

got the head of the

28:32

vagabonds gives you a butterfly

28:35

knife. And with only one

28:37

level of blacksmith, you

28:39

can turn that into the

28:42

absolute dominant melee weapon

28:44

in the game for

28:46

the whole game. Oh, really? Yeah.

28:48

Do you give a cool

28:51

animation with the butterfly knife?

28:53

Yeah, they did tone that

28:55

down. It used to be

28:57

every time you would. pause,

28:59

you would start flipping

29:01

the knife around. And, you know,

29:03

so then I had to download

29:05

a mod that would stop that

29:07

from happening. And then in

29:10

an update, they took that

29:12

part of the animation out. You

29:14

could still, you still got

29:16

to see the animation when you

29:18

put it away. So that was

29:20

nice. Because it's a really cool animation.

29:23

Right, but it was a little bit much

29:25

when it was every time you stop. Exactly.

29:27

Yeah, that's annoying I guess. Yeah. I

29:29

guess I'd be like in fall if you're

29:32

just like started twirling your gun

29:34

on your finger every time you

29:36

like stood still to like, or

29:38

if you're doing a transaction with

29:40

a vendor and you just start

29:42

twirling your guns. Exactly. Yes. So

29:44

has animations like animations like that,

29:46

but you can turn them off pretty

29:49

easily. You know, the

29:51

so there is

29:54

definitely, you

29:56

know, some, you

29:58

know, some. ramifications

30:01

to the different paths

30:03

that you take on this,

30:05

but you know, it's, it was,

30:08

it was nice that I was

30:10

high enough level, I think

30:12

my character was like

30:15

level 22 or something

30:17

like that. And, you know, with

30:19

a sneak melee character,

30:21

that's, that's all the

30:24

hire you need to be

30:26

dominant in the game.

30:28

And, you know, so

30:30

I was able to do

30:32

all three endings.

30:35

Some of them can

30:37

be much tougher than

30:40

others. If you don't

30:42

have a high enough

30:44

level and a strong

30:47

enough character,

30:49

because there's

30:52

some major league

30:54

fighting involved.

30:56

playing the new No Man

30:59

Sky content. Oh, excellent. I

31:01

saw the tweet from Sean

31:03

Murray, so. Yeah. And everybody

31:05

was really confused because

31:08

there was still another

31:10

week on the expedition

31:12

redo. But, you know, oh my God,

31:15

an update and, you know, are

31:17

they going to end it early

31:19

or that, you know what? No,

31:22

they just dropped the update and

31:24

you can still do the expedition.

31:26

There will be a new

31:29

one that follows up right after

31:31

it, which is also awesome.

31:33

But it's just amazing.

31:36

So I think this is the

31:38

30th update to the game

31:40

since it released in, what,

31:43

2016? That's a lot,

31:45

because the majority of

31:47

them have added, you know,

31:50

at least one big feature,

31:52

if not a couple. Yeah,

31:54

and I mean, it's

31:56

significantly, you know, it's huge.

31:58

And the thing is is that

32:01

they've never charged

32:03

for a single one

32:05

of them. And these are

32:07

all, you know, easily, you

32:09

know, bigger than Bethesda

32:11

DLCs. Well, that's why

32:14

that next game is

32:16

going to be $300. Yeah.

32:18

And I'll pay it

32:20

because it looks fantastic.

32:22

And the thing, the-

32:25

You'll get 30 updates

32:27

too, so it's worth it. Yeah.

32:29

or not really an interview,

32:31

it was like a behind

32:33

the scenes video from

32:35

Sean Murray. And, you know, he

32:38

confirmed that, you know, the stuff

32:40

that they're coming up

32:42

with for light don't fires is,

32:44

you know, immediately being

32:46

rolled into no mad sky. You

32:48

know, so, you know, one of the,

32:51

one of the things that they

32:53

added. So recently they updated

32:55

the water. you know so you

32:58

get big waves and you know all

33:00

this you know great water

33:02

texture this time they've

33:04

added raindrops make

33:07

ripples in the water

33:09

standing there and it looks

33:11

so nice but isn't the

33:13

new game beyond like a

33:15

new engine do they have to

33:17

like dumb this the additions down

33:20

to put them into no nope

33:22

the engine is going to

33:24

handle it just fine So,

33:27

but definitely

33:29

been loving on

33:32

that. And kind

33:34

of interspersed in

33:36

all of that is

33:39

my Starfield,

33:41

you know, level 200

33:44

plus character.

33:46

And so at this

33:48

point, I am 25 robots

33:51

away from. completely

33:55

maxing out the

33:57

tech tree. Wow, okay.

34:00

very close. So, um,

34:04

and it's, it's surprisingly hard to find

34:06

robots when you want them. So

34:10

they're always in your

34:12

way otherwise, but, but it's,

34:14

it, it's definitely been,

34:17

uh, been

34:19

rolling along. It,

34:21

it's, uh, it's,

34:25

it's the first time that I've really

34:27

done anything with, uh, ship crew. Um,

34:32

and so,

34:35

guessing one of them is not

34:37

Vosco. Uh, no, none of

34:39

them are the, uh, the

34:41

constellation people. Oh, sweet. Uh, you

34:43

know, once, once I walked

34:46

out of the constellation after

34:48

I gave them that one artifact, uh,

34:50

I haven't seen them since. So

34:53

I'll eventually get back there because

34:56

I do want to take this,

34:58

uh, character through the unity, um, at

35:00

some point, but,

35:03

uh, it's, uh, um,

35:09

it, it's very slow leveling at

35:11

this point. So I just

35:13

recently got to level 204. I

35:16

can't believe you're even like that much

35:19

over a hundred. Like that's, took

35:23

some work. Yeah. Yeah. It

35:25

was a lot of grinding, but, uh,

35:28

although I did, uh, so I've,

35:32

I've just, I've been so focused

35:34

on doing all of the, uh, the

35:37

skill leveling, uh,

35:40

that I, I

35:42

went to, uh, pick a lock

35:44

and didn't have any digipix. Oh

35:47

man. Um, because

35:50

I just have not been, I, I've

35:52

been going to one particular kind of

35:54

building, um, and

35:56

only two rooms in that

35:58

building and they don't have

36:01

any digi picks, but there

36:03

is one locked door. And

36:05

so without noticing, I've

36:07

burned through all of the

36:10

initial digi picks that I

36:12

had picked up. This character

36:14

hasn't done, you know, any

36:16

exploring, you know, outside

36:18

of just flying around

36:21

and destroying ships or,

36:23

you know, boarding ships or,

36:25

you know, boarding ships or,

36:27

you know, boarding ships

36:29

or, But I've got, so

36:31

I've just started, I've almost

36:34

done with leveling pistols

36:36

to the Max. I've picked

36:39

up a few different heavy

36:41

weapons, so I'm gonna have

36:43

to start working on heavy

36:45

weapons and get that

36:47

skill maxed out. But, you

36:50

know, shotguns, rifles, particle, I

36:52

do need to work on

36:54

laser. I've got an Orion

36:57

in the arsenal that. that

36:59

I'll start working on

37:01

soon to get lasers up.

37:03

The hands are fun. That's

37:05

what I use with my

37:07

main character in the prime

37:10

universe. That's why I stuck

37:12

with. Yeah. So slowly but

37:15

surely I'll get them all,

37:17

you know, some of them are

37:19

harder than the others. So I

37:21

had, you know, to get payloads.

37:24

The last one you have

37:26

to, you have to, you have

37:28

to work. 50 times with,

37:30

with, you know, your

37:32

cargo maxed out.

37:34

Oh, maxed out even,

37:36

wow. Well, it's like

37:38

75% but, you know, just

37:41

to make sure that I

37:43

got it done, I had

37:45

it filled to the

37:48

brim with adaptive

37:50

frames. So, so. So

37:52

I want to know how many

37:55

there were. I don't know,

37:57

it was like 10,000 pounds

37:59

worth. A lot. When you measure

38:01

things in tonnage versus count,

38:03

you know that you have

38:06

a lot. There what, like

38:08

a pound of piece, something

38:10

like that? Oh, I don't

38:12

know. Maybe one point five

38:15

something. Never paid attention

38:17

to it. It's just there. It's

38:19

what I build to grind

38:21

the character of the level

38:24

200. So. Those and the

38:26

isomagnets. Yep. aluminum

38:29

canisters and yeah the

38:31

zero-wired, the re-tourium thermostats,

38:34

magnesets, whatever they

38:36

are. Tow-grade magistrates.

38:38

Reostat. Reostat. You know, I'll

38:41

get there eventually. Reostat.

38:43

Are you measuring the

38:45

viscosity of something? What is

38:48

the re-ostat? Well, rheology or

38:50

a reometer measures the viscosity

38:52

or thickness of a liquid.

38:56

So Reo has something to

38:58

do with the thickness or

39:01

something like that. Yeah So

39:03

You know some some of the

39:05

skills are a little more

39:07

bizarre than others But you

39:10

know all in all it's been

39:12

it's been pretty fun So

39:14

we'll see once I get

39:16

the tech tree worked out You

39:19

know the the one that's going

39:21

to be the hardest for

39:23

me is the social You

39:26

know, because there's a

39:28

lot of stuff in there

39:30

that you've got to do,

39:32

you know, the intimidation and

39:34

all that. All that talking

39:37

to people. Yeah. So I did,

39:39

I, you know, I did take

39:41

the easy way out to maxing

39:43

out persuasion. So I got all

39:46

the, the Dragonforce comics

39:49

for the kid in Sedonia.

39:51

Not the good way to

39:53

do it. Excellent. The

39:55

challenges for say diplomacy and intimidation

39:57

and all that is they were So

40:00

it's a process, but it's

40:02

been fun. I haven't really

40:04

done it. Success is. So definitely

40:07

probably want to

40:09

grab the implants

40:11

from Reunion, if you

40:13

can, and stuff like that to

40:15

boost your chance. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.

40:17

So it's a process, but it's

40:20

been fun. I haven't really

40:22

done much else. Although I

40:24

have I've watched a few videos

40:26

with some shipbuilding

40:28

mods that. you know,

40:31

make some pretty cool

40:33

looking chips. So

40:36

I'm kind of thinking

40:38

I may do something

40:40

with that. But they

40:43

do some really weird

40:45

stuff that where you

40:48

stack components.

40:50

Like so you stack

40:52

three engines together

40:55

and then mount that

40:58

on your ship. And so

41:00

now you've got, you know, six

41:02

times, so you mount one on

41:04

each side and you've got six

41:06

times the the power of the

41:08

engine. You know, because essentially

41:11

you have six engines instead

41:13

of two. Somehow tricking the

41:15

system. Okay. Yep. Almost like

41:18

merging them. That's interesting. But

41:20

it sounds like. Yeah, that's

41:23

that's what it is. They do that

41:25

with weapons too. And reactors

41:27

and grab drives. and all

41:30

that kind of stuff. So

41:32

it wouldn't be a

41:35

serious character because

41:37

it's, you know, totally

41:40

fudging it. But the

41:42

one, the one mod that

41:44

I, you know, picked my interest

41:47

was place your

41:49

own doors. So you actually

41:52

control where the

41:54

door is on your

41:56

ship. when you play together. That

41:58

would be really helpful. Yeah, place your

42:01

own ladders, place your own doors,

42:03

good stuff. That's been one thing

42:05

that I was really struggling with,

42:07

with one of the ships that

42:09

I built, because one of the

42:11

Habs in the room, Habs mod, is

42:13

for a prayer room. It's a single

42:15

one by one prayer room. Right. There's

42:18

only one door to get in there.

42:20

So, like, based on where I would

42:22

place it, there was no way to

42:24

get in there. Like, you couldn't access

42:26

the rest of the rest of the

42:29

ships. So. So. That would be

42:31

really helpful to be

42:33

able to place a

42:36

door wherever the hell

42:38

I want to. So, and

42:40

then I played the

42:43

Quest and followed 76,

42:45

but that's all I did

42:47

in 76. Oh, I thought you

42:50

meant that's all you did

42:52

and you had only

42:54

played 7,000 games. All right,

42:56

so yeah, we'll get to those quests

42:59

here in just a little while But

43:01

when we switch over and say hey

43:03

Jess, how about you? Would you get

43:05

a chance to play this week? Hey

43:08

Andrew. Well, I got a chance

43:10

to play a little fallout 76

43:12

Yeah, it was mostly on the

43:14

quests for the show I actually

43:16

you know, I'm continuing the trend

43:18

of getting them done early Which

43:20

is pretty impressive, a lot of

43:22

times, yeah, Prague is impressed too.

43:24

A lot of times when it

43:26

comes to the roundtable quest. I'm

43:28

doing them the day before, you know,

43:31

but no, this week. I ended

43:33

last week too. I did them

43:35

like Tuesday, Wednesday, so getting them

43:37

done in, getting them in. Actually,

43:39

to be fair, this week was

43:42

Wednesday, Thursday, but still I started.

43:44

I started early. So yeah, we

43:46

got those done. I am rank

43:48

90 or 91 on the scoreboard

43:50

now. So I'm not an overachiever,

43:53

Mr. Double scorecation here like, you know,

43:55

so we are. But I'm getting nothing.

43:57

I got one of those for that.

43:59

Hang on. There you go. Appreciate

44:01

that, Mo. I probably, yeah. I

44:04

already probably gave you the

44:06

double-dip scorecation weeks ago. You're

44:08

on the quadruple or a

44:10

quin couple, you know, scorecation

44:13

this point, but whatever. It's now

44:15

buying new foreign devices to play

44:17

76 on to get, to get

44:19

scorecation on all of them. And

44:21

I've been saying for ages, I

44:23

want to get a PlayStation. I

44:25

want to get a PlayStation. Well,

44:27

I got up to the Bombay

44:30

kitty and I kind of slammed

44:32

the brakes on. I don't know,

44:34

I didn't, I haven't gone in

44:37

the last three days or any.

44:39

Is that 82 or 91? I don't

44:41

know, but I... 81? 81, I think.

44:43

Something like that. Yeah, yeah, around that

44:45

ballpark somewhere. And then, but I'm looking,

44:48

and I see... You need it. Cool

44:50

man. So I'm like, all right. I

44:52

saw the dog. I saw that today.

44:55

I'm like, God damn it. Just when

44:57

I thought I was out, they pulled

44:59

me back in. So having pets

45:01

at our fallout camps has been,

45:03

has been fun. It's been really

45:05

nice. And Hardknock is my only

45:08

guy that does right now because

45:10

my main character I haven't

45:12

actually put down a dog. But

45:14

Hardknock has Leo. Leo is

45:16

his German Shepherd. Over. What

45:18

is that a Belgian? What do they call

45:21

that the white? The Malanua? Yeah, he's

45:23

a traditional, but he's a traditional

45:25

brown though. Or sable. I'm not. Sable, is

45:27

that the word? No, that's not the right

45:30

word for it. That's for other dogs. I

45:32

forget what the markings, if it has

45:34

an official name. But, you know, your

45:36

standard German Shepherd, yeah. Yep. But, so

45:39

that's mostly my fallout besides the

45:41

Quest was a little bit of

45:43

grinding on my main character just

45:45

to get scoreboard stuff. playing on

45:47

hard knock just doing a few

45:49

things he got up to level 35

45:51

so still pretty low you know I'm still

45:54

taking it not too fast on

45:56

him trying to keep the challenge going

45:58

but he's doing well and going

46:00

like you're doing better than I was

46:02

with that. Well you know there is

46:04

a slight boost to having the lower

46:06

level character in the in the curve

46:09

but in the 30s is where it

46:11

actually starts to be painful. I think

46:13

the fact that I did the illicit

46:15

meat and greet you know where I

46:17

made him some good BOS combat armor

46:19

modded and got him you know the

46:22

better fixer and stuff like that on

46:24

a private serve with my other character

46:26

my other crafting him stuff like I

46:28

believe I mentioned last episode that My

46:30

DR went up by like 90 points.

46:33

Like his DR is probably like 240,

46:35

250. It's still, it's low in the

46:37

scheme of things, but for his level,

46:39

it's pretty high. So yeah, he is

46:41

doing well. Besides that, I mostly played

46:43

Starfield this week, continuing that whole situation.

46:46

I mentioned I was going to play

46:48

the Doom content last week. I did,

46:50

I finished that that was really quite

46:52

nice. I've also been adding a lot

46:54

of mods, like I said, but achievement-friendly

46:57

ones because I'm not quite there yet.

46:59

If you're all achievements, I want to

47:01

do that first. But I've added a

47:03

bunch, probably like 25 months at this

47:05

point, between Bethesda mods and achievement-friendly mods

47:07

and stuff. Some shipbuilding, outpost building, a

47:10

number of quality of life things, you

47:12

know, fun stuff. There's a cool series

47:14

mods called Tiny Reasons to Explore. And

47:16

there's one tiny reason to explore space,

47:18

and then tiny reasons to explore, which

47:20

is kind of like, you know, your

47:23

stumble upon interiors in Fallout 4, that

47:25

kind of concept, you know, or plenty

47:27

of exploration, those different explorers, where they

47:29

add, like, there's little vignettes, little scenes,

47:31

little things you can see. The one

47:34

for space, kind of reason to explore

47:36

space, you get small derelict stations, or

47:38

like satellites, stuff like that just neat

47:40

stuff. On the ships I did the

47:42

Veroon Habs I was telling you all

47:44

about that he also got got the

47:47

like luxurious ship Habs because sometimes he

47:49

got to live in style and these

47:51

are like your trident star lines kind

47:53

of thing of it I've got on

47:55

one of my ships, there's the two

47:58

by two, you know, all in one

48:00

residential module. Oh my God, I want

48:02

to live there. We've got like this

48:04

nice sofa, we've got like a good

48:06

82 inch TV, maybe it's a 100

48:08

inch, I don't know, it's large, it's

48:11

very large. What does two by two

48:13

employ? Two square by two square, if

48:15

you think of like ship habs, it's

48:17

like foundations, you know, in building camp,

48:19

so kind of like that. So it's

48:21

just a two by two by two

48:24

by two by two by two by

48:26

two by two by two by two

48:28

by two module. Yeah, I would say

48:30

your ship is basically your house or

48:32

your output starts. Why wouldn't you want

48:35

to? You can spend a lot of

48:37

time there. I mean, obviously there are

48:39

player homes in the game and various

48:41

things that you can earn. And of

48:43

course, there are some via mods and

48:45

then outpost building. But outpost building is

48:48

kind of the slightly underserved thing in

48:50

this game because you really do spend

48:52

most of your time on your ship.

48:54

Like a lot of us. We live

48:56

on the road. It's like our VW

48:59

bus, but in space. I will say

49:01

though that lately since I've been getting

49:03

into outposts building more, that's typically where

49:05

I go when I'm like finishing up

49:07

for the night is I'll take a

49:09

trip back to my outposts and save

49:12

there. It can be good. When you

49:14

actually when you start to get into

49:16

that method of play, that is pretty

49:18

good stuff. So I've been playing with

49:20

a lot of those mons. You know,

49:22

other stuff in a star field as

49:25

well. We've we I did the vulture

49:27

finally. I'm enjoying my suborbital shuttle. That

49:29

is a wonderful zooming around like the

49:31

Jetsons. I have started The Vale, which,

49:33

you know, is fun. Oh, they're forgotten

49:36

frontiers. Cool expansion. So another thing that

49:38

I like are things to add

49:40

points of interest. So, you know,

49:42

ties to retirement reasons to explore,

49:44

like I mentioned. But there is

49:46

a series of mods for Skyram

49:48

called Forgotten Dungeons, which I really

49:50

enjoy that because they're fully... They're

49:52

fully mesh dungeons with varying levels

49:54

of difficulty, but you can also

49:56

use them for radiant quests. And

49:58

it's the same thing. here, forgotten

50:00

frontiers it's called, it's a point

50:02

of interest expansion, which of course,

50:04

we know Starfield needs more variety

50:07

and points of interest with the

50:09

repeating ones. Even if I try to

50:11

avoid doing the repeating, it's still great

50:13

to have more to choose from. And

50:15

so that's been really cool. And I

50:17

have actually done a little bit of

50:19

outpost building too. One that I got

50:21

that was fun was the modular outpost

50:23

Argos extractors. It actually gives you some

50:25

half furnished outposts already. And I obviously have

50:27

less to choose from than like Ray

50:29

on PC with the Nexus. You know,

50:32

I'm only using the the official ones

50:34

through creations and in this case right

50:36

now, only verified creators because I'm still

50:38

getting those achievements. But along

50:41

those lines, so after I did, you

50:43

know, the doom playthrough and finish the

50:45

vulture and I think I had finished

50:47

reagent last week, right you guys? Did

50:49

I already finished that four last

50:51

show? Yeah, did all that. After that

50:54

I decided to get. and revisit my

50:56

ships. So I got the indigo strike, which

50:58

was my ship that kept disappearing

51:00

on me. It's not doing that

51:02

anymore. So I switched, made that

51:05

my home ship, and I brought in

51:07

some of the rebuilt it. I only

51:09

got one ship mod, the Avon Tech

51:11

raceways. And so it just adds a few

51:13

pieces, but I did that one up nicer.

51:15

And then I'm like, I need to build

51:18

a ship from scratch. So I now have

51:20

a fifth ship in the fleet. It is

51:22

the green Hornet. you know I do all

51:24

mine off of colors pretty much and it's

51:26

fun it's more of a fighter so like

51:28

most of my ships are class C and

51:30

the green horn is a class B fighter

51:33

it's lighter I still needed have at least

51:35

4,000 cargo because you know I run a

51:37

crew of six so I well I run

51:39

a crew of five but then I have

51:41

my companions so I have at least 6,000

51:43

cargo and I have plenty of cargo

51:45

at all times right my cargo is

51:48

always like four or five thousand because

51:50

my main ships have at least 6,000

51:52

cargo you know for crafting and various

51:54

things. I make fun of people being

51:56

packrats sometimes in like 76. But when

51:59

I'm in control. role myself in Tharfielder,

52:01

you know, all the classic games like

52:03

Fallout 4, you got to load up on

52:05

the junk, you got to collect all the things,

52:07

right? And so you have to keep making room

52:09

in your cargo bay to do that. But I

52:11

found a nice balance where when I switched to

52:14

the ship, I can usually have about

52:16

100-200 free with my character, you know,

52:18

with the cargo boosting from the crew.

52:20

And it's just it's been fun flying

52:22

this around because it's faster. Gotta tell

52:25

us to be like hundred and eat.

52:27

Really cool. I can ship from what

52:29

you're showing off. Thanks. Yeah, I shared it

52:31

on the Twitter in the blue sky the

52:33

other day, just having fun with it. So

52:36

that, you know, you took a lot, it

52:38

took a bit of time doing that. I

52:40

have hit level 100, which that was

52:42

an achievement that I wanted to

52:44

do. That was one of the

52:46

last achievements I have to finish. And

52:48

that took some work. Thank you,

52:50

thank you. Yeah, score a starcation. I

52:53

am. Star Skate, wait, we had that

52:55

at some point. Yeah, you did. Do you

52:57

still have it? Do you still have the

52:59

song? Oh, I don't know. That's probably on

53:01

the other, who knows? For sure. But,

53:03

you know, doing a lot of the

53:06

quests and just grinding, fighting, exploring

53:08

planets, you know, surveyed another, God,

53:10

510 over the last week or

53:12

two. It's just been great, just

53:15

jumping in and doing a lot

53:17

of this, but. I did hop on the

53:19

tip of, I'm like, you know what, I'm

53:21

going to take it into some of this

53:23

crafting XP too, because I just, I want

53:26

to get up to 100. And I already

53:28

had my beach post prime, my main outpost

53:30

was set up to do some crafting

53:32

grinding. Like I'm going to find this

53:35

location on Bessel 3B. People talk about,

53:37

I'm going to find the location, and

53:39

I found the location, I'm put down

53:42

a base there, I've got the aluminum,

53:44

I've got the cobalt. and I've got

53:46

the nickel. Yeah, nickel. All four of

53:48

them there. So I got that and I've got

53:50

my new Argos extractors set up for

53:53

the outpost I built there. So I

53:55

actually built a pretty damn sweet outpost,

53:57

but I do say myself at the

53:59

location and and I got at least six,

54:01

seven levels that way. I was close. I mean,

54:03

I was at like 93, but I am now

54:05

at like 101 after that and some

54:08

adventuring. So yeah, that's been really

54:10

fun. Love in the Starfield. And I

54:12

think that's pretty much it for the

54:15

gameplay. Like, you know, no cool stories besides

54:17

just playing with mods, but

54:19

I'm excited to jump into the

54:21

veil and do that. And finally. my

54:23

very last three achievements I need in

54:26

the game, the Crimson Fleet. So I

54:28

will be playing through the Crimson

54:30

Fleet quests. That's a fun one

54:32

too. When you're there, don't forget

54:34

to get the book that's in Delgado's,

54:37

is a room that will get

54:39

you another snow globe. I've got a,

54:41

you know, that would be great. I got

54:43

a bit of time for I get to

54:45

that point, but I definitely will. I'll

54:47

also mention my main girl. So I've

54:50

been playing with some of other

54:52

companions too. And you know, Sajima,

54:54

Sajima Vadik that you pick up

54:56

in shattered space, she's actually pretty

54:58

awesome. She's really grown on me.

55:00

So one of those optional companions,

55:02

you can get like, there are,

55:04

in shattered space, has a lot

55:06

of branching choice quests, don't believe

55:08

what they tell you, there's branching

55:10

choice quests, and Sajima can live

55:12

or die like you or dislike

55:14

you, but if she lives and

55:17

she likes you, she might join your crew,

55:19

and she might join your crew, and she

55:21

might join your crew, you know. But that's

55:23

been great. And I just shared a

55:25

picture of my newest outpost over in

55:27

chat. I haven't put that one up

55:30

on Twitter yet, but I'm actually pretty

55:32

proud of how it's going along. I

55:34

got some good buildings there and got

55:36

a good picture of the Green Hornet

55:38

and it looks cool at night.

55:41

But you'll recognize that location, Ray,

55:43

because there it is right on Vessel 3V.

55:45

Mount Nika. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. We

55:47

got that behind and those. Cool

55:50

little half flat little round thingies

55:52

that pop up. I don't know what

55:54

their scientific name is half flat

55:56

round thingies works for me But it's

55:58

been it's been great. So Yeah, that's

56:00

my gameplay Andrew have

56:03

you played some fallout?

56:05

No, none Oh, no, I don't

56:07

play video game too guys This

56:09

is all been a farce this

56:11

whole thing Fooled ya all

56:13

of you woo burn I

56:15

played a little bit of

56:17

Vader games I try to

56:19

get our quests done. We'll

56:21

get into the struggles of

56:23

that But I will has

56:26

been doing this thing where he's

56:28

making 10 billion unstoppable monsters

56:30

so that he can get

56:32

the the bloody thing and

56:34

he You know crafted a

56:36

bunch scrapped a bunch fine

56:38

and finally got his his

56:40

bloodied He did he got

56:42

the beaten craft the bloody

56:44

money. He didn't just get the

56:46

job box right right right right

56:49

he can actually put it on

56:51

stuff now So I was thinking,

56:53

oh man, is there like an

56:55

end game named weapon? That

56:58

one is pretty special

57:00

in that we can craft it,

57:02

right? There's not a ton of

57:04

the named ones that you can

57:07

also craft, right? Or can

57:09

we also, no, we can

57:11

do cold shoulder and stuff

57:13

like that too. Is that different?

57:15

For some reason? No,

57:17

I mean, those all qualify

57:20

as legendary weapons. And

57:22

the ones who qualifies

57:24

legendary you could scrap

57:27

for the mons I

57:29

would think. So is

57:31

there like a legendary

57:33

like instigating faster swing

57:35

speed and or fire

57:37

rate plus three strength

57:39

and or agility type weapon

57:41

there? You know what I mean? Like. If I want

57:44

to do what Will's doing, but fine tune it from the

57:46

stuff that I want, is they're like, oh, like, I need

57:48

to look and see what all the weapons are in the

57:50

list and which ones I can craft so I know which

57:52

ones I only need to build a hundred of so that

57:54

I can scrap with, blah, blah, blah, blah. Which ones are

57:56

you looking for? Because there aren't a lot of unique

57:59

ones at this point. I don't know,

58:01

automatic pistols, what, so

58:03

you gotta be... I don't even

58:06

know. Furious, I guess? Let's

58:08

see, the medical malpractice,

58:10

can you craft those?

58:13

Is there a furious faster

58:15

fire rate thing? Yeah, you

58:17

can craft medical malpractice,

58:20

it's a daily

58:22

ops drop, and that... has what?

58:24

It's got medics, vats enhanced, and

58:26

vats optimized. You might like the

58:28

vats optimized. Apparently there aren't so

58:31

many legendary pistols. The Somerset

58:33

Special from early on, you know, you

58:35

get from responders. Yeah, no thanks.

58:37

That actually has some decent effects

58:39

though, right? It's just anti-armor, like

58:41

knowing how to craft anti-armor would

58:43

actually be good. Actually, the 50%

58:45

anti-armor ignores any armor that actually

58:47

is a pretty good one. The

58:49

penetrating or whatever. Mm-hmm. I mean,

58:52

once you know how to make the

58:54

best mom, you can make up for

58:56

it somewhat, but still. I wanted

58:58

to see if I could find something

59:00

like, you know, I could do

59:02

like Will's doing. Anyway, I already

59:04

set up my big news this

59:06

week was getting the kitty cat,

59:08

the black one, I think they

59:11

called Bombay, put up his little,

59:13

little kitty bed, and ran around

59:15

very cute. Other than that, I

59:17

was, you know, I had gotten

59:19

the cat, so I was like,

59:21

oh man, a big sort of like,

59:23

you know, relief off this shoulder

59:25

is like, oh, I don't have

59:28

to do that anymore. And then

59:30

I saw that cactus, now I

59:32

want that cactus. But anyway, so

59:34

for a few days, I stepped

59:36

a little bit away from 76,

59:38

and then I was like, just

59:41

staring there me in the, right

59:43

there in the face on my

59:45

home screen. And I popped on

59:47

everybody's favorite fallout game, fallout

59:50

shelter, and I started another

59:52

survival vault fallout shelter, a

59:54

new one, a new fresh

59:56

clean one, and then I

59:58

was like, man. I had so

1:00:00

much fun playing it because I

1:00:02

played it for a pretty long

1:00:04

time the other day. And I

1:00:06

was like, man, that's so much

1:00:08

fun. So I like popped out

1:00:10

my phone. I started a new

1:00:13

survival vault on my phone too.

1:00:15

I'm- That was those first 20

1:00:17

hours of the best. I'm double-fisted

1:00:19

shelter over here again. It's a

1:00:21

good little time. So yeah, that's

1:00:23

my big news. I've made a

1:00:25

bold move back into shelter again

1:00:27

for so I have no idea.

1:00:29

January, it's our, you know,

1:00:31

comfort shows, comfort games over the

1:00:33

holidays. Yeah, yeah, yeah, me too.

1:00:35

Yeah, you know, I finished Discovery

1:00:37

and I actually started watching Elementary

1:00:40

last week again. I'm like, you

1:00:42

know, because that's a great classic. There

1:00:44

you go. Show, yeah. That makes total

1:00:46

sense. We put it in that frame.

1:00:48

All right, hey, let's take a quick

1:00:51

visit with Will and see what our

1:00:53

Fallout Top Five is this week before

1:00:55

we go into our roundtable stuff. So

1:00:57

let's say hi, Twill, what are we

1:00:59

checking in? Mama Murphy, right? Top five

1:01:02

things you didn't know about Mama Murphy.

1:01:04

Number five, she's actually only in

1:01:06

her mid-30s, but a hard life

1:01:08

of parting in Kim's makes her look

1:01:10

older. Number four, when out of Kim's,

1:01:12

she can also gain the sight by

1:01:14

eating moldy, fancy lad snack snack cakes.

1:01:17

That's true. Number three, I've been there.

1:01:19

Once ripped the head off of a

1:01:21

raider with her bare hands for

1:01:23

stealing her stealing her chair. For

1:01:26

stealing her chair. That one's actually

1:01:28

true. The madlamant. But if you

1:01:30

talked her, she says she ripped

1:01:32

the radar's head off. Uh-uh. Number

1:01:34

two hosts an overnight call-in

1:01:37

radio show called Mama's Midnight

1:01:39

Mystics, where she shares her

1:01:41

visions and wisoms, along with

1:01:43

some of her favorite tunes.

1:01:45

And the number one thing you

1:01:47

didn't know about Mama Murphy, she

1:01:49

sleeps with the blue garden gnome,

1:01:52

she calls Poppus Murphy. Oh,

1:01:54

pop a

1:01:58

snor. Thank

1:02:00

you, Will. We love Murphy. That's

1:02:02

our favorite new feature on the

1:02:04

show, featuring our good buddy, Will.

1:02:06

Thanks, Will, keep it up. All

1:02:08

right, let's roll right into some...

1:02:10

What is it with the roundtable

1:02:12

stuff? Some roundtable stuff. One would

1:02:14

dig into the Quest a little

1:02:16

bit here, and I'll start you

1:02:18

off by saying, holy shit, I

1:02:20

didn't get them done. I'm an asshole.

1:02:22

Hey, you got you got part way through

1:02:25

so I tried I tried to

1:02:27

cram for the test like 20

1:02:29

minutes before it happened dude. I

1:02:31

don't know why I failed It was a

1:02:33

it was a good one. So yeah, we are

1:02:35

in steel rain You know the quests

1:02:37

are ramping up at this point.

1:02:39

So the first quest we're doing

1:02:42

is out of the blue. So

1:02:44

this is after we report back.

1:02:46

I'm trying to remember last thing

1:02:48

we did was recovering the we

1:02:50

brought the pit boy back to

1:02:52

Valdez, right? And then we went

1:02:54

and we worked. The rescue of

1:02:56

the girl. Yeah, exactly. We went

1:02:58

down to rescue the girl. I'm

1:03:01

going to try to come back

1:03:03

or go with the raid or

1:03:05

war party. And then we're back

1:03:07

and Valdez has finished researching the

1:03:09

pit boy. And I believe at

1:03:11

this point, and she has some

1:03:13

information that she wants

1:03:15

to report. And you have to

1:03:17

go talk to Paladin and Romani.

1:03:20

She's talking with. Artnap.

1:03:22

Yeah, is she talking with him

1:03:24

at Alice? Yeah, he's

1:03:26

downstairs, kind of hard to

1:03:28

find her. Right, yeah, I know I

1:03:31

found that a little dot

1:03:33

and I'm like, oh, I went

1:03:35

down the wrong stairs at first,

1:03:37

but she's in the kitchen

1:03:40

with Artnap, right? Yeah.

1:03:42

And there, but it's not

1:03:44

the same kitchen that you went

1:03:47

and found the tentative

1:03:49

initiate. This one's in

1:03:51

a different part of the lower

1:03:53

section. But well, at least that's

1:03:55

where I found them. But yeah, so

1:03:58

arts going on and on about. know,

1:04:00

his niece is missing and that, you

1:04:02

know, they're not taking it seriously.

1:04:04

And, you know, that it was the

1:04:06

Blue Ridge Caravan Company that

1:04:08

was supposed to be delivering her

1:04:11

and she never showed up. The

1:04:13

Caravan showed up, but she wasn't with

1:04:15

them. Right. And Romani is listening,

1:04:17

you know, and Romani says, we,

1:04:19

you know, we need more evidence,

1:04:21

but I have been suspicious myself.

1:04:23

And then you can step in

1:04:25

and she says, well, well, initiate.

1:04:28

you know, I'm glad you're here

1:04:30

to talk about this. And you

1:04:32

can actually, if you found the

1:04:34

letter on the previous quest implicating

1:04:36

the Blue Ridge caravan and saying,

1:04:38

you know, getting the one that

1:04:40

the Hellcat mercenaries had about

1:04:43

getting more people from the

1:04:45

George caravan, you can bring it

1:04:47

up and mention it, which kind

1:04:49

of corroborates that information. Yeah.

1:04:51

Yeah, which, immediately she

1:04:53

goes from somewhat skeptical to.

1:04:55

you know, hardened fast, you know, we've got

1:04:58

to knock these blue ridge people on

1:05:00

their ass. I was suspicious of these

1:05:02

guys from the start. And yeah, it's

1:05:04

a, she definitely takes a bit of

1:05:06

a hard line here, which is, which

1:05:08

is interesting. It's kind of a character

1:05:11

thing that we kind of, we learned

1:05:13

about her on previous missions too, that

1:05:15

she can be a little bit overly

1:05:17

decisive and aggressive sometimes when it comes

1:05:20

to battle tactics. And apparently

1:05:22

this sort of thing as well, which is

1:05:24

funny again. Ramani throughout this quest.

1:05:26

I'm like, I actually find Shin to

1:05:28

be a little bit more reasonable than

1:05:31

Ramani. I got pissed at me when I

1:05:33

called her out at the bar. And she

1:05:35

got really bad there for a minute. Well,

1:05:37

and that's what happens after you

1:05:39

talk to her there and Art, Art's

1:05:41

happy to hear that you're going to

1:05:44

look into it. And she says, okay,

1:05:46

initiate, meet me down, we're going to

1:05:48

investigate the Blue Ridge Care of Ant

1:05:50

Company, meet me down there. And so.

1:05:52

Next you have to head down to

1:05:54

the west side of Big Bend Tunnel

1:05:56

at the offices there where Joanna Mayfield

1:05:58

and a number of them. work. That's

1:06:00

where you usually end up

1:06:03

finishing. If you do the, what is the

1:06:05

name of the event that I love

1:06:07

with the Brahman in the tunnel, Big

1:06:09

Ben Tunnel? Oh, that's not free range.

1:06:12

Uh, and what the hell is that called?

1:06:14

I'm forgetting. The one with the,

1:06:16

I love it. We're doing it with

1:06:18

the, the Brahman in the tunnel, right?

1:06:21

It's called. We escort the Blue Ridge.

1:06:23

Yeah, and then through the tunnel. You

1:06:25

have to start at yourself. So I mean,

1:06:27

I do a pretty riding shotgun. It's

1:06:30

called riding shotgun. And so you go

1:06:32

over on the other side, you talk

1:06:34

to Vinny, and you can actually start

1:06:36

it yourself. So it's one that people

1:06:38

like, well, I don't ever see that

1:06:40

event on the map. Well, it's because

1:06:42

no one's starting it. But if

1:06:44

someone starts it, you can do

1:06:47

it. It's a fun little, fun

1:06:49

little mission. Anyway, you end on the

1:06:51

west side. So you go there to meet

1:06:53

Romani. She's not blending very well.

1:06:55

Like she looks apart maybe, but

1:06:57

she cannot talk to the part.

1:06:59

She is a paladin through and

1:07:01

through, you know, it's been a

1:07:03

while. But so you meet her

1:07:05

and you can sit down at

1:07:07

the bar with her. She's like, have

1:07:09

a seat and I mean, whatever she

1:07:12

calls you. Well, and it's, it's not

1:07:14

like you've got an option. If

1:07:16

you want to advance the quest,

1:07:19

you have to sit and have a

1:07:21

drinker. Right. No thank you, I'm

1:07:23

happy standing. Yeah, it's like, nope.

1:07:25

I tried sitting down before she

1:07:27

tells you to and you can't.

1:07:30

I was like, you know, I don't

1:07:32

mind sitting down have a drink,

1:07:34

but let me. You have to sit

1:07:36

on Q as part of, you

1:07:38

know, Brotherhood of steel rules,

1:07:40

Brotherhood of barstools. And

1:07:43

you have to buy a drink. I guess

1:07:45

I tried just, you know, blowing

1:07:47

the bartender off and yeah. He

1:07:49

was like, you know, you know. If

1:07:51

you want to progress the quest, you

1:07:53

need to buy a drink. Same thing, Ray, I

1:07:55

accidentally exited out of that conversation

1:07:57

early and got into

1:08:01

like

1:08:04

a

1:08:07

regular.

1:08:10

conversation

1:08:12

with her money too. Where

1:08:15

you know she's willing to

1:08:17

like kind of talk and

1:08:20

apparently ream you out if

1:08:22

you're a solior What did

1:08:24

you say to her with

1:08:27

my? Oh my main character

1:08:29

and she was actually pretty

1:08:32

receptive to it. Well no

1:08:34

that that my main character

1:08:36

I sided with her so

1:08:39

she was a little bit

1:08:41

friendlier with that one, but

1:08:43

uh, pyro. No, she his

1:08:46

charisma of one didn't work.

1:08:48

It's magic on her or

1:08:51

it did. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Well,

1:08:53

not in the way he

1:08:55

wanted But yeah,

1:08:57

so you got a conversation tree there

1:09:00

with you can talk to her about

1:09:02

various things. You can find out a

1:09:04

little bit more about, you know, her

1:09:06

and Shin's past, find out a little

1:09:08

more about the incident, but she's willing

1:09:10

to talk about more than that too.

1:09:13

You can talk to her about her,

1:09:15

you know, time with Brotherhood of Steel

1:09:17

and where she came up. And you

1:09:19

find out that she was actually, she

1:09:21

was big in the National Guard. Is

1:09:23

it National Guard or Coast Guard? I

1:09:26

think it was National Guard, right? National

1:09:28

Guard. Yeah. And, you know, and she

1:09:30

talks about how she has kind of,

1:09:32

you know, for a long time, but

1:09:34

heads with the elders a bit, that,

1:09:36

you know, she has her own way

1:09:39

of doing things and approaching things, and

1:09:41

she agrees a lot of what the

1:09:43

elders have to say, but also has

1:09:45

her own things, and she says, part

1:09:47

of the reason she was sent on

1:09:49

this mission, she imagines, was, because they

1:09:52

just wanted to get rid of her.

1:09:54

that you know that she's a paladin

1:09:56

and she's somewhat respected in the ranks

1:09:58

and she has people who listen to

1:10:00

her but they wanted to you know

1:10:02

just get her out of their hair

1:10:05

for a bit and they might be

1:10:07

surprised to know that. You know, they

1:10:09

survived and lived all the way here,

1:10:11

which interesting perspective, but it makes sense.

1:10:13

I mean, traveling cross country, yeah, there's

1:10:16

absolutely no guarantee, even with, you know,

1:10:18

a pallet and a couple of nights

1:10:20

in the scribe and all the equipment

1:10:22

they had that they would make it

1:10:24

safely. It's hard to with journey across

1:10:26

the U.S. But so you get that

1:10:29

there, and then you get your drink,

1:10:31

and so you end up having a

1:10:33

toast at the end. And I believe,

1:10:35

you know, oh, you was talking about

1:10:37

Knight Conners and you learn more about

1:10:39

him and his history of the Coast

1:10:42

Guard and that, you know, Shin looked

1:10:44

up to him as a bit of

1:10:46

a mentor. She looked at him as

1:10:48

a peer and appeared and they'd work

1:10:50

together for a long time, closest, friend,

1:10:52

and they'd work together for a long

1:10:55

time, closest friend. Valdez really liked him.

1:10:57

Like, everybody's, you could toast to Knight

1:10:59

Connor. You could toast, um, you could

1:11:01

toast to the brotherhood, you could toast

1:11:03

to Knight Shin, toast to Monta, post

1:11:05

the random guy at the end of

1:11:08

the bar, you could... Yeah, well, is

1:11:10

that who you chose? Who did you

1:11:12

toast, Andrew? I tried to do Romani

1:11:14

and she refused. She was embarrassed, you

1:11:16

know, she's too. Too modest. Exactly, is

1:11:18

what I was looking for. I toosted

1:11:21

Knight Shin. because we're talking about so

1:11:23

yeah so with that knife a little

1:11:25

bit well and that's exactly what happened

1:11:27

so it's funny because I'm thinking we

1:11:29

had this good conversation I'm like yeah

1:11:31

you know when we're talking about how

1:11:34

Daniel you know how he's got a

1:11:36

good heart but he's got more stubborn

1:11:38

and so like you know two-night Shin

1:11:40

as far as like helping him through

1:11:42

this and finding his way and when

1:11:44

I did that she's like you know

1:11:47

how to twist a knife a little

1:11:49

blah blah blah blah I'm like dude

1:11:51

I am not I am not here

1:11:53

to cause you unhappiness. We're supposed to

1:11:55

be a team. I'm trying to increase

1:11:57

team unity, not divide us. But anyhow,

1:12:00

how about you guys? Ray, who did

1:12:02

you toast? Did you just do nobody?

1:12:04

I did Connors. There you go. I

1:12:06

think he was deserving. It's probably from

1:12:08

the story she just told probably makes

1:12:10

the most sense. Did. Did. So after

1:12:13

that you guys are able to go

1:12:15

upstairs, you go upstairs and talk to

1:12:17

Joanna Mayfield. So you end up walking

1:12:19

by Aries, which by the way, Aries

1:12:21

is cool. I forgot how much dialogue

1:12:23

he had in this quest. It's great.

1:12:26

Yeah. It's fun all the dialogue that

1:12:28

gave him in this quest. And you

1:12:30

can talk to him plenty before this

1:12:32

too. But as you walk up there,

1:12:34

he's like, oh, here comes trouble. And

1:12:36

you go to Joanna Mayfield. And so

1:12:39

there's a bit of a tet, a

1:12:41

tet, a tet, a bit of a

1:12:43

standoff between Romani and Joanna Mayfield, who

1:12:45

is, she runs the Blue Ridge Caravan

1:12:47

here. Vinny is her second in command.

1:12:49

She's the one actually in charge. And

1:12:52

Romani thinks she's so cool and subtle.

1:12:54

And so she's just like, yeah, we

1:12:56

have a meeting. I'm here to talk

1:12:58

to talk to you about this and

1:13:00

how for you guys. She just calls

1:13:02

her on it. Yeah, she only recognized

1:13:05

what was going on right away. I'm

1:13:07

pretty sure you don't, you're not fooling

1:13:09

anybody, you definitely not fool with me.

1:13:11

So. Yeah, I like that. Joanna is

1:13:13

definitely down to brass hacks a bit,

1:13:15

but I mean, so is the paladin.

1:13:18

The paladin is coming on a bit

1:13:20

strong. You know, she is clearly suspicious

1:13:22

of the blue ridge that they, you

1:13:24

know, that there's more going on than

1:13:26

they're admitting to. And when Joanna says,

1:13:28

I'm just going to speak plainly, and

1:13:31

she comes out talking about it, she's

1:13:33

like, yes. You know, we are concerned

1:13:35

about people missing. We are aware of

1:13:37

the missing. I wasn't being truthful with

1:13:39

you when I told you. And Romani,

1:13:41

of course, says, well, why wouldn't you

1:13:44

be in and assumes the worst? And

1:13:46

Joanna tries to explain that she's, it

1:13:48

was an eternal matter. She wanted to

1:13:50

get some real answers first, because you

1:13:52

know, wouldn't look good for them. point

1:13:54

where Joanna gives all the information she

1:13:57

has that they had actually lost 15

1:13:59

people on the the last caravan bringing

1:14:01

folks into the Commonwealth and they're

1:14:03

shocked that it was so many.

1:14:05

You know what I mean? Because we weren't

1:14:07

aware that it was so many. But

1:14:09

she calls Arias over to give some

1:14:12

specific details there and Arias talks about

1:14:14

how it happened that it was over

1:14:16

by this tunnel they used over by

1:14:18

the Harper's Ferry Bridge. There's a train

1:14:21

tunnel there that he knew about from

1:14:23

back in the day and a great

1:14:25

way to ferry people kind of, you

1:14:27

know, through the mountains and through the

1:14:29

area. to get them safely into Appalachia,

1:14:31

but that from what he heard, the last

1:14:34

mission there went completely missing.

1:14:36

And so he'd been there

1:14:38

after, investigated a little bit,

1:14:40

and shut the place down.

1:14:42

So she offers you area's help to

1:14:44

go and find the location. If I

1:14:46

ever call right, Romani wasn't, you

1:14:48

know, super happy about the idea

1:14:51

of areas coming along. She definitely

1:14:53

doesn't trust him. In fact, she whispersbers

1:14:55

to you, like... he looks like you

1:14:57

know he he looks like a bit

1:14:59

of a I don't know if she

1:15:02

makes you totally paranoid she

1:15:04

does like obviously he is

1:15:06

actually a guard but I think she

1:15:08

isn't something stronger than guard talking about

1:15:10

him in in the phrasing but essentially

1:15:13

saying you know that he is probably

1:15:15

here to you know attack us or

1:15:17

or put us down beyond your

1:15:19

guard around him but He wants

1:15:21

to meet us and show us the

1:15:24

way over the train tunnels. So that's

1:15:26

what we end up doing. And yeah,

1:15:28

Lee mentions in chat that the fact,

1:15:30

you know, he doesn't show his face,

1:15:32

he wears a mask all the time. It

1:15:34

does make you, you know, kind of

1:15:36

suspicious of him. Very suss. Yeah, he's

1:15:39

supposed to be letting you through

1:15:41

this door and so I was

1:15:43

expecting to go through the door and have

1:15:45

him close it behind us and

1:15:47

being trapped, you know, but yeah, no,

1:15:49

it wasn't that bad. Yeah, yeah, so you

1:15:51

show up at the at the train tunnel,

1:15:54

which I got there because so I haven't

1:15:56

been to many places in the Meyer,

1:15:58

you know, once again, I'm my character

1:16:00

is opening stuff up as we go through

1:16:02

the quests. I was able to get kind

1:16:05

of nearby. I figured I could fast travel

1:16:07

to there was a best build, but it

1:16:09

was still kind of west of like Berkeley

1:16:11

there. So I still had a lot of

1:16:13

ground to cover and kind of dangerous

1:16:15

for hard knock, but we made it there

1:16:17

down to the river around the river and

1:16:20

then up if you actually crossed the water

1:16:22

under the bridge, there is some stairs going

1:16:24

up to the top of the bridge. So

1:16:26

you don't need to go through Harper harpers

1:16:28

ferry. itself or in the

1:16:31

area where you're going to be

1:16:33

attacked by the Supermeans. So

1:16:35

got in there and got into

1:16:37

the door and you meet Ramani

1:16:40

just inside and then Aries and

1:16:42

talk to them and yeah. I was

1:16:44

super surprised how close

1:16:46

to the entrance you could

1:16:48

plop your survival tent down.

1:16:50

Did anyone else by chance try

1:16:53

that? No. And then did you try

1:16:55

to fast travel to that spot back

1:16:57

after you know? getting your ass whooped

1:16:59

and having to come back with power

1:17:01

arm or stuff. When you try to

1:17:03

fast travel back to that spot, you

1:17:05

are like inside the mountain underneath it.

1:17:07

So you're like, oh, what the fuck

1:17:09

is going on? So you walk a

1:17:11

couple steps. And then you fall through

1:17:14

the earth. And then you're like, wait

1:17:16

a second, and then you load back

1:17:18

on your tent. You're like, holy shit,

1:17:20

what happened? It all depends on where

1:17:22

you placed the tent and load in

1:17:24

that first time. I've seen a number.

1:17:26

That's actually a kind of prime camp

1:17:28

building location. A lot of people like

1:17:31

building camps on the Harper's Ferry Bridge

1:17:33

there, and you can get really close

1:17:35

to the door, like you're saying. So

1:17:37

when they set it up, you know, where

1:17:39

you spawn in the fast travel travel, you know,

1:17:41

visual part of the cliff that you kind

1:17:43

of poke your head through. But there's also that

1:17:45

neat little crack on the way up where there's like

1:17:48

sort of stuff back in there. It's like, oh, this

1:17:50

would be fun. I bet you Jess knows if you

1:17:52

can. I was like, I didn't even try, but I

1:17:54

was like, oh, I wonder if you can plop your

1:17:56

little camp thing down in here. That'd be a fun

1:17:58

little crack. You can overlap with it. that overlap with

1:18:00

it. Yeah, that's a cool little spot.

1:18:03

Yeah, you get the stairs and the

1:18:05

back on up there. So no, it's

1:18:07

a great place to build there. And

1:18:09

underneath the bridge on those pylons, there's,

1:18:11

you know, the concrete platforms that the

1:18:13

pylons are sitting on. Nice. Those are

1:18:16

great for a camp. And obviously

1:18:18

nothing really taxi because of water.

1:18:20

So, right. It's convenient. I have

1:18:22

a camp nearby there

1:18:24

but not exactly where

1:18:27

the train bridge is.

1:18:29

I've got one that's

1:18:31

right by this other

1:18:33

bridge where there's a

1:18:36

hermit crab right there.

1:18:38

It is a really neat

1:18:40

place to build. How about

1:18:43

the campground down

1:18:45

south of foundation

1:18:47

where there's a big lake

1:18:50

with the... Myrler Queen and

1:18:52

but there's like there's like a

1:18:54

little cave that you can sort of

1:18:56

swim Underwater and there's like this cool

1:18:58

little interior cave. Can you put a

1:19:00

camp there? I've always wanted to try

1:19:02

that too. I never Never never actually

1:19:05

tried you know that just you know

1:19:07

what I'm talking about specifically? Are

1:19:09

you talking about the honeybee's cave?

1:19:11

I didn't quite catch down south of

1:19:13

foundation. There's a big ass Myr alert

1:19:16

Where you do the swimming test. The swimming test. Right,

1:19:18

yes. Spruce knob, exactly where you do the swimming test.

1:19:20

Right, but down below at the lake. Yeah, there's

1:19:22

like a little cave that you can swim under and

1:19:24

the stuff. You can get in there and get the

1:19:26

resources in there to you. You can build in that cave. You

1:19:29

can. Oh, nice. I totally want to do that. Yeah,

1:19:31

if you position it properly, you can get a good up

1:19:33

and down camp along the wall, building the cave

1:19:35

and have some exterior. And have some exterior.

1:19:37

That's some exterior. That's some exterior. That's

1:19:39

some exterior. All right, sorry I

1:19:41

interrupted. Let's get back to, no,

1:19:44

well, speaking of caves, we are

1:19:46

currently in a train tunnel. What's

1:19:48

it called? Harper's Ferry. So you go

1:19:50

in there and meet Aries, and Romani

1:19:52

is, she's very suspicious Aries

1:19:55

from the talk, from the start. So

1:19:57

every time they have a conversation,

1:19:59

she's a. bit accusatory towards Aries, you know, that

1:20:01

he's probably up to no good and that he may ask

1:20:03

me to do with a disappearance. You know, she's very suspicious. You

1:20:05

can tell she's already kind of made her mind. I mean, she

1:20:07

said she's keeping it up in mind, but for the most part,

1:20:10

she's made it up. So you follow him through and Aries talks

1:20:12

a bit about the location as you go in. So first, you're

1:20:14

going through a few rooms, excuse me. And you have to fight off,

1:20:16

you know, you know, you know, you know, a couple of goals, you

1:20:18

know, you know, a couple of ghouls, a couple of ghouls and the

1:20:20

usual, a couple of ghouls and the usual, and the usual,

1:20:22

and the usual, and the usual, and the usual,

1:20:24

and the usual, and the usual, and the usual, and

1:20:26

the usual, and the usual, and you get to a room,

1:20:28

I think we can we can spoil

1:20:30

here because people know most people

1:20:33

have done the additional the seven

1:20:35

daily quests that you can get

1:20:37

from Vinny with the Blue Ridge

1:20:39

caravan and I think we've talked

1:20:41

about it before but Aries actually

1:20:43

has oh Lee's never done them so

1:20:45

we're not going to spoil it but

1:20:47

if you watch what he does here

1:20:49

when he uses the calendar a calendar

1:20:52

secret code to get in some place

1:20:54

and he says I'll get in there in

1:20:56

two shakes of a lamb squat tail.

1:20:58

Both of those things are kind of

1:21:00

clues to what areas is. But you

1:21:02

talked about, you know, how he knows

1:21:04

the area. So well, he says he

1:21:06

used to live here and he knew

1:21:08

some people who worked at this facility

1:21:10

and that's how he knows about it. So

1:21:12

he opened that's how he knows about

1:21:15

it. So he opened that up and you

1:21:17

get in through the secret passage and

1:21:19

you go deeper in and you know,

1:21:21

you walk with the tunnels, you fight

1:21:24

a few goals and then you come

1:21:26

up to a larger room with a

1:21:28

giant metal door. Vines to the right

1:21:30

and here you are stuck in the

1:21:32

middle with aries and he's trying to

1:21:35

get into the door, but he can't.

1:21:37

He's pounding and checking the terminal.

1:21:39

No, it's locked down and he says

1:21:41

essentially he had to leave in a

1:21:43

hurry before and so bad, you know,

1:21:46

there's good news. Hey, this is the

1:21:48

door. We need to get through bad

1:21:50

news. These vines have grown up completely.

1:21:52

And they've done that because of a

1:21:54

gas lake you're like wait gas lake

1:21:56

and he's like I believe he says

1:21:58

that he had to damage a boiler

1:22:00

or something to cause a gas leak in

1:22:03

order to get the door to shut down

1:22:05

a emergency lockdown to keep them from following

1:22:07

him. So he triggered this himself in order

1:22:09

to stop people from following because

1:22:11

of the danger. He didn't want other

1:22:13

visitors. So this train tunnel had been

1:22:15

used for the Blue Ridge for a while,

1:22:17

right, for caravans. And the idea here

1:22:19

is after the car went missing and

1:22:21

he came back and investigated. you know

1:22:24

he found there were goals here he

1:22:26

was worried about other attacks and

1:22:28

people getting themselves into trouble

1:22:30

so he was typically locked

1:22:32

it down so people couldn't get

1:22:34

in there to the old campsites

1:22:36

yeah now when you when you get into

1:22:38

this you know this tunnel it's when

1:22:41

you realize that Romani might be

1:22:43

a paladin but she's no Boy

1:22:45

Scout because evidently she didn't

1:22:47

bring a damn gun or her She had

1:22:49

a good hand when I was standing around

1:22:52

with it. She had a little pistol that

1:22:54

she was running around with, but she did

1:22:56

not use it once in higher time. Yeah,

1:22:58

thank you, Pug. She couldn't fit it in

1:23:01

her civies. She could not fit it

1:23:03

in her little civilian outfit, I guess. Yeah,

1:23:05

I know. It says she doesn't help you

1:23:07

fight the ghouls on the way. She'll help

1:23:09

you fight things as we go further in.

1:23:12

So she'll tag along. She'll offer some

1:23:14

advice and commentary. So the idea is

1:23:16

you need to figure out how to

1:23:18

get to the pump room. So you

1:23:20

know, there's multi parts to this. You

1:23:22

get in one location, you

1:23:24

find clues, you learn that there

1:23:27

is possibly a, they've developed, one

1:23:29

of the people who lived here

1:23:31

before had developed a kind of like

1:23:34

plant killer, what's the word herbicide?

1:23:36

An herbicide that will help weaken

1:23:38

the vines to get through.

1:23:41

But now you need to

1:23:43

find more about it. So

1:23:45

you go in and the

1:23:47

pug needs are talking to.

1:23:49

So I'll be back. Yeah. So

1:23:51

you, when you go through that

1:23:53

story, you find out that

1:23:56

he had originally,

1:23:58

you know, he put in. a low

1:24:00

dose enough that you know the humans

1:24:02

that also drank the water

1:24:04

because he introduced it into

1:24:06

the end of the water

1:24:08

system. They managed just fine but

1:24:11

then the vines you know grew tolerant

1:24:13

to it and so he had to

1:24:15

up the dose next thing everybody's

1:24:18

puking. Right they're getting ill

1:24:20

they're not sure why and there's

1:24:22

even some comments here and there. as

1:24:24

you learn about it, that people have

1:24:27

trouble remembering the past code and I

1:24:29

feel like we're all getting dumber, they

1:24:31

didn't realize what was happening with this

1:24:33

going back into the water system. And

1:24:36

it has to do with the way

1:24:38

it was set up, right? That there

1:24:40

was a backflow pipe that maybe shouldn't

1:24:42

have been there that reintroduces the recycling

1:24:44

into the external water sprinkler

1:24:46

system. Yeah, so they were, you know, slowly

1:24:49

but surely, as they up the poison

1:24:51

level for the vines, you know, we're

1:24:53

poisoninging themselves. Why Vine's

1:24:56

farm really poor

1:24:58

security barriers? Why?

1:25:00

Because they only last

1:25:02

six seconds. Oh my

1:25:05

god, that should be

1:25:07

a minute. Damn Daniel,

1:25:09

back in with the

1:25:11

white van. Well, played.

1:25:13

Looked at Vine? It was

1:25:15

around, but I got that.

1:25:17

It wasn't nights. I

1:25:20

couldn't remember his

1:25:22

nine seconds. Yeah. Lee

1:25:25

is going to ask and chat

1:25:27

what we're talking about. The

1:25:29

vine video service. The

1:25:31

little six minute

1:25:33

short video pre-ticktock.

1:25:35

Six second, I think.

1:25:37

Sorry. My bad. So anyway, you

1:25:40

explore, you get this

1:25:42

information. Ultimately, you find a

1:25:44

room where there seems

1:25:46

to be the chemicals

1:25:49

and stuff in a behind a

1:25:51

cell. There's some pretty good fighting

1:25:53

on the way there too, you know,

1:25:55

you gotta break through some stuff. In order

1:25:57

to get in there, you need to pass

1:25:59

a lock. So you have to find

1:26:01

a terminal that explains kind of

1:26:03

what their code system was, another

1:26:06

written note about it, etc. And

1:26:08

that's where you learn more about

1:26:10

what happened with them and, you

1:26:12

know, their code. It's a very

1:26:15

advanced code, by the way. See,

1:26:17

they number the letters, but then

1:26:19

they flip it and reverse it.

1:26:21

So A is 26 and Z

1:26:23

is 1. Never would have guessed. So

1:26:25

you have to figure out how to

1:26:27

break the code, which isn't too hard.

1:26:30

You go ahead and do that, get

1:26:32

in there, and you now get the

1:26:34

um, there beside mixture. So you

1:26:36

can start making your way back,

1:26:38

and you can actually start cutting

1:26:40

through vines on the other, doors on

1:26:43

the other side to make your way to

1:26:45

the pump room. Let me get to

1:26:47

find the water supply so you

1:26:49

can actually get it reintroduced

1:26:52

and weaken the vines. So, oh, is

1:26:54

that what you do next? I feel like

1:26:56

we started it. Yeah, once you have the

1:26:58

chemicals, then you have to go introduce

1:27:01

it into the water system so that

1:27:03

it can spray it on the vines.

1:27:05

And that's when you start getting the

1:27:07

hordes of ghouls. Yeah, you fight through like

1:27:09

two or three hordes of ghouls. Yeah.

1:27:11

Because we can break through the vines.

1:27:13

That's why it's confused for a

1:27:16

second, because you have to shoot through and

1:27:18

break vines to go through a lot of

1:27:20

these doors. you know, like you're shooting through

1:27:22

a lot of vines on the way

1:27:24

there. Right? Right? No, not until, not

1:27:27

until after you've done the water

1:27:29

pump. Not until after. Okay. So

1:27:31

you get it in there. You get to the

1:27:33

pumps and it says verifying integrity,

1:27:36

verifying integrity and hostile robotic

1:27:38

entity. You cannot open it

1:27:40

because there's a hostile robotic

1:27:42

entity in there. Now, while

1:27:44

you're going in here, you

1:27:46

also hear some noise that

1:27:48

sound a bit like, So you're

1:27:50

already concerned, especially if you know

1:27:52

what is up. If you recognize

1:27:55

that sound. Yeah. I was like, wait, was

1:27:57

there an actual sheep squatching?

1:27:59

I mean, he did kind of

1:28:01

make a little bit of a

1:28:03

joke, you know, two shakes of

1:28:05

a lamb squash tail. Yeah. Like,

1:28:07

oh God, is there an actual

1:28:09

sheep squash down here? So I'm

1:28:11

like, okay, that's not a huge

1:28:13

deal. Yeah, that would have been

1:28:15

a lot easier. Yeah, I would

1:28:17

rather fight sheep squat. Yes, but

1:28:20

after the alert. And sheep

1:28:22

squat. pasta sheep squatch over in

1:28:24

the corner. Now, to be fair, they

1:28:26

call it a pasta ling. Like, it's

1:28:29

not as tough as the real pasta

1:28:31

sheep squatch. So, still got the head

1:28:33

cannon running around. So, you know, these

1:28:35

yahoos, and it, no, it's tough. I

1:28:38

remember it's tough. In fact, here's the

1:28:40

ironic thing. If y'all might remember, I

1:28:42

was talking last summer. beginning of summer

1:28:44

about new players coming in new characters

1:28:46

everybody playing through and I ran to

1:28:48

this one character who I was really

1:28:50

friendly with and they started messaging me

1:28:53

hey can you help with robot I

1:28:55

said sure I'll help with robot he

1:28:57

was like level 30 I fast travel

1:28:59

with him to help with robot and I

1:29:01

fast travel with him to help with robot

1:29:03

and help with robot and I fast-travel with

1:29:06

him to help with robot and help with

1:29:08

robot and it was like level 32 at

1:29:10

the time so I was actually I wasn't quite

1:29:12

35 yet I actually did okay between my

1:29:14

armor and kiting the imposter sheep squat. So

1:29:17

I would, you know, run towards them, then

1:29:19

up the ramp and around by the pump

1:29:21

and down through the, through the, the

1:29:23

banisters, the guardrails and then back around

1:29:25

and then by running in a circle

1:29:27

and up and down and then turning

1:29:29

around and vatsing and getting a few

1:29:31

good shots on the imposter sheep squats.

1:29:33

It took a while. What you had

1:29:35

to do though, because these posture she

1:29:37

squats, the actual attack, the actual

1:29:40

attack squats, the actual attack,

1:29:42

But yeah, but the base beam, the head

1:29:44

cannon, the plump of doom, that when that

1:29:46

charged up and hit you, that like starts

1:29:48

melting your health and it's like, ting,

1:29:50

ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting,

1:29:52

ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, ting, right

1:29:54

down. But I found as long as I didn't

1:29:56

stand in front of it, as long as long

1:29:59

as I didn't. or fight while he

1:30:01

was getting really close to charging

1:30:04

up. You just moved real fast.

1:30:06

It usually took like maybe 10%

1:30:08

of my health because I'd be out

1:30:10

of the beam quick enough. But a

1:30:12

couple times it caught me in the

1:30:15

beam. I did get down to like

1:30:17

20%. I did get pretty close

1:30:19

to debt. That thing one shot

1:30:21

it'd be so many freaking times.

1:30:23

It's not even funny. And I

1:30:25

went in with a handmade and

1:30:27

a holy fire. Those did absolutely

1:30:30

nothing. You know, with assault turns

1:30:32

a lot of times, a great

1:30:34

strategy is focusing on the legs and

1:30:36

stuff to get them on the ground,

1:30:38

but you can't do that with this

1:30:40

one. It just did. They're too durable.

1:30:42

So I was using my fixer and

1:30:45

then my explosive handmade a bit and

1:30:47

it did. It took a long time,

1:30:49

but somehow. Oh, I also, I mean,

1:30:51

I'll admit, I jacked up on the

1:30:53

medex. I took medics ahead and I

1:30:55

actually had some psycho buff cats. So

1:30:57

that helps a little bit. Hard knock

1:30:59

has never done such a thing in

1:31:02

his life. Well, now he has. So

1:31:04

yeah, we did cycle buff tax and

1:31:06

like two or three rounds of the medics

1:31:08

while you're fighting and running. So that

1:31:10

definitely made a difference. I'm sure why

1:31:12

I survived. Lee is actually mentioning a

1:31:14

Gatling plasma. That's what I actually had

1:31:17

to do. I went back to my camp

1:31:19

and repaired everything. And I actually had a

1:31:21

one star troubleshooting gatplaz. I don't, I

1:31:23

think I even got that. at Dagger's

1:31:25

den, that might have been, or somehow

1:31:27

I'd gotten that. I'm like, all right,

1:31:29

I might need this at some point.

1:31:32

Even with that, it took a while,

1:31:34

and I still died a few times,

1:31:36

because again, it was just doing so

1:31:38

much damage to me, but. you know,

1:31:40

like you're saying, ducking and covering and

1:31:42

I think that actually worked really well.

1:31:44

I would have appreciated some distraction from

1:31:46

Romani, but she was absolutely useless. Yeah,

1:31:48

she's not lifting a gun here. Like Ray

1:31:50

was saying, this is this is where it was

1:31:53

really apparent to me, like before it's like, whatever.

1:31:55

But here, no, she's just running around,

1:31:57

like not even helping, like occasionally saying,

1:31:59

oh. we'll get near the end of the

1:32:01

scene if you're trying to talk to me.

1:32:03

Like, yeah, we'll get near the end soon.

1:32:05

Like, woman, we are at the end. Spots

1:32:08

be the end of both of us if

1:32:10

you don't do something. I think she didn't

1:32:12

even have that mind. I think on the

1:32:14

7th or 8th time that I was in

1:32:16

the death animation when it was like the

1:32:19

camera spinning around me, I swear I looked

1:32:21

over and saw her ask the impostive

1:32:23

sheep squat for an autographraph.

1:32:25

She was enjoying it just a little

1:32:28

too much. Thanks for the show. Would

1:32:30

you please help? Hello, I'm dead over

1:32:32

here. But yeah, so I think I'm

1:32:34

wondering if maybe, I mean, yes,

1:32:36

Medex and the psycho buff cats,

1:32:38

also keeping moving a lot and

1:32:40

not letting it get any direct

1:32:42

hits with the head cannon much,

1:32:44

I mean a couple times to

1:32:47

happen, but I'm wondering if the

1:32:49

level scaling has something to do

1:32:51

with it for me too. Because I was in

1:32:53

my 30. I remember even fighting this

1:32:55

one before with my main character,

1:32:57

that she would melt me down

1:33:00

to half health with a head

1:33:02

cannon, no problem, even on, you know,

1:33:04

my level 300. So, yeah, maybe it

1:33:06

was scaled a little bit. I don't

1:33:08

know. Madas got lucky. I didn't

1:33:10

die over and over again, like y'all.

1:33:13

My instinct was... I'm about the same

1:33:15

level as you, Jess, and I,

1:33:17

there's a big pump in the middle of

1:33:19

the room, and I got up on top

1:33:21

of that, and the... she so

1:33:23

it couldn't hit me. And then

1:33:26

whenever the, you know, I

1:33:28

just sit there with I

1:33:30

just have a little plasma

1:33:32

pistol. And so I'm

1:33:34

plinking away, you know, my,

1:33:37

my main weapon is an

1:33:39

absolute crap ton of ammo.

1:33:41

And so, you know, I'm shooting

1:33:43

away at this thing. You see

1:33:46

the, the bar just barely

1:33:48

move a pixel at a time.

1:33:50

And as soon as it would charge up,

1:33:52

I would drop down to the other side.

1:33:54

And it would stop, run around, you know,

1:33:56

to try to get me on the other

1:33:58

side of the pump. back up on top of

1:34:01

the pump, start plinking it again,

1:34:03

as soon as it started to charge

1:34:05

up, I dropped to the other side, and

1:34:07

I just kept doing that back and

1:34:10

forth until I finally, you know, wore

1:34:12

it out. I'm glad it worked for

1:34:14

you. We took slow and steady. I

1:34:16

was even trying to get a little

1:34:18

bit of an advantage saying, I was

1:34:20

like, oh, you know, I can just

1:34:22

shoot it from this platform that we

1:34:24

go down into there from. No, there's

1:34:27

another freaking stairway. This thing actually snuck

1:34:29

up behind me when I was like,

1:34:31

okay. So did you make it through without

1:34:33

dying then, right? For the most part?

1:34:35

Yeah. I have five. Good job. No humble

1:34:37

brag at all from both of y'all.

1:34:39

I was feeling pretty good. I was

1:34:42

scared. I was scared. I'll admit. That's

1:34:44

what I was saying. I was like,

1:34:46

you know, I walked in and I

1:34:48

was like, hey, you need any like

1:34:50

stem packs or anything. I can drop

1:34:52

you. So I'm just like, oh, you know,

1:34:54

I actually got through just fine. I'm like,

1:34:56

I'm like, oh, you know, I actually got

1:34:59

through just on my main characters.

1:35:01

I got plenty of like drugs

1:35:03

and. Amo and everything if you

1:35:05

need it. But I did just

1:35:08

fine like I had to use

1:35:10

I had to use several stem

1:35:12

packs because I didn't have any

1:35:14

bodies to snack on That's true.

1:35:17

Yeah, how many bodies up on

1:35:19

the pumps? How many real sheep

1:35:21

squatches do you think it would

1:35:24

take to defeat an imposter

1:35:26

sheep squat? A lot. three I

1:35:28

think it would take me three that's

1:35:30

it really I was like I mean

1:35:32

10 or more they hit hard they

1:35:35

can stagger you and yeah I

1:35:37

think between the stagger attack they

1:35:39

would keep from getting off because

1:35:41

as hard as those head lasers

1:35:43

are you've got a good 10

1:35:46

seconds when each head laser or

1:35:48

so I feel like ground pounded

1:35:50

real shoot squatches are pretty

1:35:52

tough yeah yeah but I don't know They'd

1:35:54

have to you'd have to disable the pile on in

1:35:56

order to the real one you'd have to you know

1:35:58

disable the clothing device Yeah, I didn't mean

1:36:01

to do all that shit, you

1:36:03

know. What could you imagine? The

1:36:05

sheep squatches. I got this pile

1:36:07

on over here. Hilar. So after

1:36:09

you get all of this and you

1:36:12

finally defeat it, you can then,

1:36:14

you know, make it the pumps

1:36:16

working and get the mixture introduced

1:36:18

in this when you can

1:36:20

actually go back to areas,

1:36:22

let them know and get

1:36:24

the door open. And

1:36:27

Ares lets you into the caravan site

1:36:29

from here. So the caravan site

1:36:31

is actually pretty cool. There's, you know,

1:36:33

there's a number of tents set up

1:36:35

and you can tell their people

1:36:38

camping here multiple times because they had

1:36:40

obviously, you know, done this. This was

1:36:42

like the stopping point multiple

1:36:44

times through. But also the last group

1:36:46

here that was all kidnapped disappeared.

1:36:48

They didn't have time to, you know,

1:36:50

pull down all their equipment because they

1:36:53

were taken. So you have to investigate

1:36:55

why. You go through, you can

1:36:57

find a number of pieces of

1:36:59

evidence investing in the caravan site.

1:37:01

I mean, I think there is a,

1:37:03

there is a hollow tape that you can

1:37:06

get a recording from, what is

1:37:08

it? It's like two notes and a

1:37:10

hollow tape or two hollow tapes in

1:37:12

a note. I don't have these two notes

1:37:14

in a hollow tape, I think. Yeah. So

1:37:16

one of them you find out that,

1:37:18

oh, you get a list of everybody

1:37:20

here too. One of the good things

1:37:22

you find is a kind of, a

1:37:24

kind of, list of everyone who was

1:37:27

on the various trips. Notes back and

1:37:29

forth where they're like, you know, who's

1:37:31

with us and then it was signed

1:37:33

off, verified, complete, everybody made it safe,

1:37:35

blah, blah, blah. And so there are

1:37:37

four trips you're looking at here. So the

1:37:39

first one, you know, you see a few names

1:37:41

you might even recognize from various

1:37:43

things, different merchants. I think Minerva

1:37:46

is actually on that first one.

1:37:48

Yeah, the manifest that she traveled

1:37:50

with them and a few other

1:37:52

people traveling. and you know and then it

1:37:54

says who the guard was for that one

1:37:56

and pretty much everyone made it safe then

1:37:58

the next one one person they're marked

1:38:00

as lost. I think it was

1:38:02

one or two. And everybody made

1:38:05

it safe. And there are four trips

1:38:07

that you find the itinerary for. I

1:38:09

guess, you know, I guess you would

1:38:11

call it passenger manifest. I mean, not

1:38:14

really passengers, because they're not

1:38:16

riding anything. It's a caravan.

1:38:18

But, but, and so the

1:38:20

second and third time, one or

1:38:22

two people went missing each time.

1:38:24

But, you know, there was various

1:38:27

guards. everyone was lost

1:38:29

and there's no signoff

1:38:31

as verified on the bottom

1:38:34

because everyone was missing and

1:38:36

so you get that kind of

1:38:38

back and forth little

1:38:41

sign-in sheet manifest thing.

1:38:43

I don't have that actual

1:38:45

message saved but you

1:38:47

start to notice a common

1:38:49

thread on these right? Yeah so

1:38:52

three of the four manifests

1:38:54

include the same name. And also

1:38:56

the the girl that you are,

1:38:59

you know, helping find

1:39:01

Denise, she, I think she's

1:39:03

the one with the holotape

1:39:06

where she talks, yeah, passes

1:39:08

Holotape, where they talk about,

1:39:11

you know, the creepy ball

1:39:13

guy that keeps, you know,

1:39:15

looking at her. I think that's what

1:39:17

it is right. So you find Cassie's note

1:39:20

there, and she's kind of talking about the

1:39:22

trip so far, and she mentions, you know,

1:39:24

the creepy bald doctor. So now you have

1:39:26

Dr. Edgar Blackburn, E. Blackburn on three of

1:39:28

these notes, and then you have Cassie talking

1:39:31

about a creepy doctor. And then the

1:39:33

last one you find is something from

1:39:35

the caravan guard, right? I

1:39:38

believe you find a note from the

1:39:40

caravan guard or a holiday and where

1:39:42

they were attacked by mercenaries. Yeah,

1:39:44

and he's describing kind of what happened.

1:39:47

A rad storm came in and they

1:39:49

had to set up camp and they were

1:39:51

stuck there. They were stuck inside for an

1:39:53

extra day. And then these mercenaries

1:39:55

showed up and from both Cassie's

1:39:58

letter and the guards letter. You

1:40:00

see that the doctors seem to know them, they

1:40:02

were talking, and then next thing Cassie saw,

1:40:04

they had taken away the guard's gun, and

1:40:06

they were collecting all the people, and from the

1:40:08

guard's perspective, like, he didn't trust the

1:40:10

doctor, and then this happened. And so

1:40:12

you realize that what likely happened as

1:40:14

you put the story together was that

1:40:16

they were going to continue to kidnap

1:40:19

these were hellcat mercenaries, going to continue

1:40:21

to kidnap a person or two. from

1:40:23

each of these that somehow the doctor

1:40:25

would try to get separated or what

1:40:27

have you. But in this case, because

1:40:30

everybody got stuck in a red storm,

1:40:32

they just captured everybody and brought them

1:40:34

into holding. And so you show this evidence

1:40:36

to Romani and she goes through it

1:40:39

and she, you know, then kind of quizzes

1:40:41

you on what you got from it. So

1:40:43

this is the game. I'm like, hey, did

1:40:45

you pay attention? Did you read what you

1:40:47

actually gave you actually gave you? Which I'm

1:40:49

sorry, right, right, you know, you know.

1:40:51

But yeah, so there's a little, you

1:40:53

know, 20 questions. You go through and

1:40:55

you answer it properly. And she's like,

1:40:58

yeah, I agree with your findings.

1:41:00

And oh, yeah, I thought this. And

1:41:02

you know, you kind of agree, disagree

1:41:04

with her, but work your way through

1:41:07

and put the whole picture together. And

1:41:09

then she immediately says, okay. So it

1:41:11

wasn't the Blue Ridge caravan. It

1:41:13

does appear that this doctor

1:41:15

Blackburn, she remembers when we're

1:41:18

talking to various people. you know,

1:41:20

for Night Shin, finding out what

1:41:22

they're there for, he's the one

1:41:24

that's like, I'm here looking for

1:41:27

advanced technology, you know, but

1:41:29

my needs aren't as pressing

1:41:31

as some of his people and

1:41:33

so he'll step back. And then

1:41:35

of course, he at this point,

1:41:37

he may have already found the

1:41:40

facility at that point where he

1:41:42

may find a facility shortly after,

1:41:44

I'm not sure which, but that'll

1:41:46

be the next quest. Romani

1:41:49

has neatly laid those

1:41:51

notes out on the cabinet

1:41:54

right next to her. So

1:41:56

you can exit the conversation

1:41:58

and go. read them.

1:42:00

Did you stick around and listen

1:42:03

to the conversation between

1:42:05

Arides and Romani afterward?

1:42:07

Well, I mean, yeah, because

1:42:09

that's all part of it, right?

1:42:12

Well, Romani says, you know, she

1:42:14

feels bad for, you know, accusing

1:42:16

Aries and being so suspicious. And you know,

1:42:18

you can talk to her about that too

1:42:20

before their conversation and say, you know, maybe

1:42:22

you should apologize to Aries or I think

1:42:24

you were being a little bit judgmental and

1:42:26

hard headed here. And she admits, this is

1:42:29

where she admits again, she's like, I do

1:42:31

tend to rush to judgment and rush to

1:42:33

action sometimes. But yeah, she will apologize to

1:42:35

Aries and Aries like water under the bridge.

1:42:37

Yeah, and then he's like, well,

1:42:39

you know, since we're all buddy,

1:42:42

buddy now, is there any way

1:42:44

I can use some of those

1:42:46

Hellcat or, yeah, Hellcat missile launchers?

1:42:48

Right, yeah, no. I heard you

1:42:50

guys had some pretty fancy,

1:42:52

yeah, missile launchers and such. Yeah,

1:42:55

I actually really like Harry's.

1:42:57

He's got some really funny

1:42:59

lines during all this,

1:43:01

like he's definitely good

1:43:03

comedy relief throughout this whole

1:43:05

thing. Yeah. And yeah, you can

1:43:07

come down and let her know that

1:43:10

she was being way too hard on

1:43:12

him or you can, you know,

1:43:14

be a little bit more reasonable

1:43:16

about it. But either way, you talk

1:43:18

to him after and he's just like,

1:43:21

yeah, I hope you found what you

1:43:23

needed and I'll see you back at

1:43:25

the Blue Ridge. And so now you

1:43:27

can fast travel back to Fort

1:43:30

Atlas and meet up with

1:43:32

Romani and that concludes this

1:43:34

mission. Andrew is dead.

1:43:36

Still dead. Still dead. So

1:43:39

next mission is a

1:43:41

satisfied conscience. And this

1:43:43

one starts when you're

1:43:45

back at Fort Atlas. So

1:43:48

you go back to Fort

1:43:50

Atlas, you meet up with

1:43:52

Palad Ramani to kind of

1:43:54

check in and report. And

1:43:56

she is there meeting with

1:43:58

Knight Shin and... Valdez to

1:44:00

figure out next move is what they ought

1:44:02

to do next. And Valdez is still, you

1:44:04

know, got the info from the pit boys.

1:44:07

She got more information from it. And

1:44:09

she has found out information about

1:44:11

a vault. She says vault 96. Nightshin.

1:44:13

So this conversation was funny

1:44:15

for me because Nightshin wasn't

1:44:17

actually there. He was down. You know how

1:44:20

he hangs out in that room below with

1:44:22

the crafting benches? So he was talking

1:44:24

from down there. So I had

1:44:26

like Romani and Shin in front

1:44:29

of me like chatting it up

1:44:31

and then Shin's like yelling from

1:44:33

the corner. Well, he's like muffled.

1:44:36

He's like barely here. It was

1:44:38

hilarious. But you know, he did

1:44:40

his part of the conversation from

1:44:42

down there. But yeah, so from the

1:44:44

pit boy, if I remember right.

1:44:47

So, Valdez finds out about

1:44:49

vault 96. and that originated from

1:44:51

vault 96 and she doesn't really

1:44:53

know what is there for, but

1:44:56

it might be a good lead

1:44:58

to investigate. Armani and Shin have

1:45:00

decided the same thing because

1:45:02

they think that Blackburn was somehow

1:45:04

in vault 96. Now did we

1:45:07

find that out from the Hellcat

1:45:09

mercenary information? I

1:45:11

think so, yeah. I know Shin wants you

1:45:13

to go there to security technology. He

1:45:16

says, you know, this is a

1:45:18

priority, let's... you know, get the

1:45:20

technology from there to prevent someone

1:45:22

from like Blackburn for getting a

1:45:24

hold of it. Romani herself is

1:45:27

suspicious that Blackburn may that it's a

1:45:29

lead to actually find Blackburn. And either way,

1:45:31

Valdez, she doesn't really know what the vault

1:45:33

is about. So yeah, I guess I might

1:45:36

need to re-listen to some of this because I

1:45:38

don't remember how they came to the agreement,

1:45:40

but they all agreed that in the end,

1:45:42

this is maybe the best course for you.

1:45:49

And so Valdez says, I'll meet you

1:45:51

there. The vault will have an emergency transponder.

1:45:53

So when you get there and you get

1:45:56

in, check it out and then signal me

1:45:58

and I'll come and join you. So

1:46:03

you do, you get down to 96. For

1:46:05

this, I actually, this is, like I mentioned,

1:46:07

so we were ahead and messaged me and

1:46:10

I was wrapping the last question. I'm like,

1:46:12

hey, I don't really want to hike all

1:46:14

the way down to about 96. Would you

1:46:16

mind if you have, if you're on here,

1:46:18

maybe go down there and I'll fast travel

1:46:20

on you? Yeah, she has used me for

1:46:22

free fast travel. It was fun. You were

1:46:24

on the server at that point. Yeah,

1:46:26

it was just like, hey, you need

1:46:29

any help. You know, I can load

1:46:31

you up with some supplies. Why don't

1:46:33

you join me for the last room?

1:46:35

It's like, cool. Exactly. So

1:46:38

yeah, so yeah, so basically all

1:46:40

the ties, right? Okay, so yeah,

1:46:42

so basically all the ties, right.

1:46:44

Okay, here's what we found. The

1:46:46

clue we found, just about 96,

1:46:48

maybe tied to the missing people.

1:46:50

It may be tied to the

1:46:52

Supreme Court. So you get down there, you

1:46:54

get in and you signal Valdez to

1:46:56

come up. But while you're getting in

1:46:59

there and investigating, you actually find

1:47:01

that the hellcat mercenaries near the

1:47:03

entrance are dead. There's one or two dead

1:47:05

on the floor, and then there's one dead

1:47:08

deeper in. You can actually talk to

1:47:10

one who's barely clinging on, and she

1:47:12

lets you know they were talked by blood eagles

1:47:14

who are deeper in the vault. And, you know,

1:47:16

she's a bit cynical, and you try to help

1:47:18

her, but she said she said she's dying,

1:47:20

and then she does. But you know,

1:47:23

she says give him hell

1:47:25

and hopefully, you know, you

1:47:27

can, you know, not actually

1:47:30

revenge us, but take

1:47:32

care of those, but

1:47:34

equal to Cayman. So

1:47:36

Valdez goes in and she

1:47:38

is trying to hack into

1:47:40

the system. I did make

1:47:43

sure she didn't die in vain.

1:47:45

Good. Yeah. Well, no, wait.

1:47:47

She topped off my hydration meter.

1:47:50

a little blood pack

1:47:52

for you, right? So fresh. Totally,

1:47:54

totally fresh. Fresh than

1:47:56

the others. So Valdez finds

1:47:58

that there is a security

1:48:00

lockdown that has sealed off the

1:48:03

rest of the vault from the

1:48:05

entrance. But she, Valdez, manages to

1:48:08

get the entrance open, but we've

1:48:10

got to work our way through bit

1:48:12

by bit because the entire vault

1:48:14

is on lockdown. And about this

1:48:17

time, I believe we actually hear,

1:48:19

do we hear Blackburn? Yeah,

1:48:21

once you get inside, he starts

1:48:23

talking to you over the

1:48:25

intercom telling you to leave. Yeah, just,

1:48:27

you know, warning you back. But of

1:48:29

course, we pushed bravely forward. So

1:48:31

we've got it, there's like three or

1:48:34

four parts to this, you know, you

1:48:36

basically push through the vault section by

1:48:38

section. So you have to get to

1:48:40

a section you can actually reach because

1:48:42

it's not closed off. You have to

1:48:44

look for clues about what happened here

1:48:46

and you have to take care of them.

1:48:48

So first, you've, you know, shoot and kill

1:48:50

all the blood eagles in the atrium.

1:48:52

And you find some notes there and

1:48:54

you get a little bit of

1:48:57

stuff in Blackbarnotoxyia. And you have to

1:48:59

run over to the mainframe area, find your

1:49:01

way down there, and kill off both

1:49:04

Blood Eagle and Robets, because of

1:49:06

course the security defenses of the

1:49:08

vault have been activated too. So

1:49:10

the security robots are fighting the

1:49:12

Blood Eagles, and you got to take out

1:49:14

both of them, for the most part. And

1:49:16

turrets, too. And you get more notes,

1:49:19

and this is where, you know, between

1:49:21

a couple of terminals and holotapes, you

1:49:23

find a lot of holotapes here, as

1:49:26

the clues as you go through. a

1:49:28

cryogenic facility, which of course, you know,

1:49:30

it's all frozen now, that's malfunctioned. And

1:49:32

the official idea was that it was

1:49:35

Noah's Ark. They were preserving a lot

1:49:37

of classic species of animal

1:49:39

and creature to kind of reintroduce

1:49:42

the wasteland to kind of

1:49:44

keep from mutations from going

1:49:46

too far, you know, reintroducing

1:49:48

healthy stock was the nominal

1:49:50

reason for it to preserve creatures

1:49:53

as they were supposed to be. However.

1:49:55

You know, for your eyes only,

1:49:57

scientist thing. The real idea.

1:49:59

of the vault was to experiment

1:50:01

on all these creatures, capture and

1:50:03

bring in more from the outside to,

1:50:06

you know, compare the two. Compare them,

1:50:08

exactly. Snell, he's in there. Yep,

1:50:10

yep. Create super species, create animals

1:50:12

that could survive better in here,

1:50:14

whatever mutations were required. And then,

1:50:17

you know, how that can apply to

1:50:19

humans, hopefully, in the end, was what

1:50:21

their thing. But of course, Blackburn,

1:50:23

you also get his notes on the

1:50:25

way too, and Blackburn the facility after

1:50:27

it was dead and empty. and frozen,

1:50:30

but it's perfect for him to

1:50:32

do his trials on, you know, because

1:50:34

there are already some creatures and

1:50:36

specimens here that he can work

1:50:38

on for whatever he's working on

1:50:40

to help save humanity. At

1:50:43

this point, you don't know what it is.

1:50:45

So that's after the mainframe room, you

1:50:47

got to go to the reactor room,

1:50:49

you get more blood eagles, more clues,

1:50:51

fight him and all that. Well, the

1:50:53

next year you got to get to

1:50:55

is blocked off and there's an intercom.

1:50:58

It's Tally. It's Tally. So Tally

1:51:00

you also met in that first

1:51:02

mission. They're bringing all those people

1:51:04

from the very first. It seemed

1:51:06

convenient at the time. Mission is still

1:51:08

done. And so you kind of know her.

1:51:11

So at that point, you can basically get

1:51:13

in. She can help you get in, but

1:51:15

you can threaten to kill her. You can

1:51:17

make a deal with her. You can do

1:51:19

various things. So it was interesting when

1:51:21

I was going through this as pyro,

1:51:23

because she was actually hitting on me

1:51:25

a little bit. And then when I'm

1:51:28

talking to Valvis, she's like, wait, you

1:51:30

brought somebody with you, do I need

1:51:32

to be jealous? Like, girl, you were

1:51:34

trying to kill me a few minutes

1:51:37

ago, but sure, yeah, whatever, what's your

1:51:39

boat? That's funny. Yeah. And so Talia's

1:51:41

with the Blood Eagles, and she's

1:51:43

actually, you know, I'm not an

1:51:45

officer, but she's one of the

1:51:48

leaders of this group of Blood

1:51:50

Eagles, and so she has a

1:51:52

security key card getting through any

1:51:54

door in the facility. And you

1:51:56

can basically get her to promise

1:51:58

to give it to you. If... you help her

1:52:00

get out of there, because they are

1:52:03

stuck. They are kind of walled in

1:52:05

this room, blocked in, and there are

1:52:07

a bunch of killer robots trying

1:52:09

to get them. So you get in,

1:52:11

and you either have to fight them

1:52:13

and the robots, depending on what you

1:52:16

decided, or you can help them

1:52:18

fight the robots, or you can help

1:52:20

them fight the robots. And I think

1:52:22

she has two or three people with

1:52:24

her. They're all named Blood Eagles.

1:52:26

You know, because she's willing to

1:52:29

talk. My. thought here was she had talked

1:52:31

to us before she's only talked here

1:52:33

I mean blood eagles were yeah we

1:52:35

kill him for the most part because

1:52:37

they never want to negotiate you know they

1:52:39

shoot they shoot on site so you right

1:52:41

exactly there's no choice here but if

1:52:44

Talley's willing to talk and negotiate we

1:52:46

can get something from her yeah let's

1:52:48

negotiate let's do that and plus I

1:52:50

you know Valdez says if you make

1:52:52

a deal with her like I'm not sure

1:52:54

what night she would think about that but

1:52:56

you know honestly like like like I mean,

1:52:58

I may be one of Shin's

1:53:01

favorites, but we killed a

1:53:03

good, you know, what, 30, 40

1:53:05

Blood Eagles through in this

1:53:07

place, letting three or four

1:53:09

go in exchange as a deal

1:53:12

for a key card, I think

1:53:14

is going to be fine. We

1:53:16

don't need to tell him all.

1:53:18

I told her, like, she was

1:53:21

like, you know, they knew what

1:53:23

they were signing up for. It

1:53:25

sucks. But they're not over the

1:53:27

top. They sounded like gutsies. They

1:53:30

were like, did somebody get their ass

1:53:32

kicked? And Robob brains? Yeah, some

1:53:34

of them wore gutsies and I

1:53:36

don't remember seeing any Robobrains

1:53:38

in here. Did you? I don't remember

1:53:41

Robobrains. I don't

1:53:43

remember Robobrains. I remember

1:53:45

Protectrons and gutsies. I think that

1:53:47

might have just been it, but it

1:53:49

could be based on level too. Like,

1:53:51

maybe there was some different ones for

1:53:53

you, right? I did go through it twice. So

1:53:56

yeah, I don't remember what up

1:53:58

brains I would have heard I

1:54:00

would remember hearing them. Yeah, unless

1:54:02

it was in a, it's one

1:54:04

of the later sections. I definitely

1:54:06

had rubber brains, but I'm not

1:54:08

that high a level. I think I'm, you

1:54:10

know, 34, 35 at the most. Okay. So

1:54:13

once you, once you kind of fight

1:54:15

them off, Tally will deal to deal,

1:54:17

give you the card. You got to

1:54:19

find more evidence here in the room

1:54:21

to get through. So you kind of

1:54:24

learned this point that Blackburn ran out

1:54:26

of creatures to test on. And so

1:54:28

he has started using people,

1:54:30

started having people abducted to

1:54:32

develop an improved version of

1:54:34

the FEV virus. Essentially he's trying

1:54:36

to help everybody survive better in

1:54:39

the wasteland, you know, make us tougher,

1:54:41

stronger, able to survive. However, it's been

1:54:43

going very poorly as FEV experiments pretty

1:54:45

much always do. And he has been

1:54:47

a lot of the side effect has

1:54:49

been, he's created more supine than the

1:54:51

wasteland. He's had to, you know, release

1:54:54

them once he didn't die. you know, he managed

1:54:56

to get out of there before they got

1:54:58

too bad. That's why the weird looking unit

1:55:00

as he fought earlier and the uncanny caverns,

1:55:02

they were all part of this, you know, his,

1:55:04

his weird hybrids. But over time he's

1:55:06

getting closer and closer and you finish these

1:55:09

notes and then you get into the research

1:55:11

wing and this is where it gets grody

1:55:13

because now you're actually seeing there's all

1:55:15

some of these experiments, you

1:55:17

know, a lot of dead bodies, people on gurney

1:55:19

tables, a lot of blood, all that

1:55:21

nonsense. It's pretty gross. And Blackburn, of

1:55:24

course, as you walk in, because he

1:55:26

jumps in on the intercom here and there,

1:55:28

and he says, I regret what you're

1:55:30

about to see. You know, just keep in

1:55:32

mind, I did all this, you know,

1:55:34

for the betterment of humanity, but I'm not

1:55:37

proud of what I've had to do, blah,

1:55:39

blah, blah, blah, along those lines. So

1:55:41

you go through, you fight through, you

1:55:43

actually find where the prisoners are finally.

1:55:45

Cassie, and there are three others alive, and

1:55:47

there with her with her, I believe. Yeah,

1:55:50

they're in a little worse condition

1:55:52

than she is. She just has

1:55:54

sludge lung. Yeah. Wicked sludge lung.

1:55:56

So you've got to figure out

1:55:58

how to get the door. locked, you go

1:56:00

through and it's the same thing. I mean,

1:56:03

each of these areas is basically just kind

1:56:05

of progressive. And so once you

1:56:07

get all the doors unlocked, you know, you

1:56:09

can talk to her, and you find out

1:56:12

what happened with them that yes,

1:56:14

they were kidnapped. Um, and name's

1:56:16

Cassie Holloway. And he unlocks the

1:56:18

cells from somewhere behind the stairs.

1:56:20

So you find that. And once you get

1:56:23

all that, you can usher them out. Well,

1:56:25

they say, they'll be okay, and they can

1:56:27

make it. you know, a stem pack

1:56:29

or a disease cure. Yeah, which helps

1:56:31

her out. And so they're going

1:56:33

to leave, but of course, they don't

1:56:36

actually leave. And, you know, they

1:56:38

will. And they're going to make

1:56:40

it. And so now you've got

1:56:42

to get into the overseer's office

1:56:44

in order to find Dr. Blackburn.

1:56:47

Well, he's locked that out too.

1:56:49

Of course, everything's locked out. Nothing

1:56:51

is easy. You're getting every door

1:56:54

free card doesn't work. So they

1:56:56

have to find a way in

1:56:58

there. based on Valdez's suggestion that

1:57:01

we end up cutting the hydraulic

1:57:03

fluid, essentially, if I'm right,

1:57:05

to the door. And so they're

1:57:07

very sweet. I had to go

1:57:09

find a machete somewhere because I

1:57:12

have a sharp melee on me.

1:57:14

So you find a console and

1:57:16

when you get to the console,

1:57:18

you can, a couple different checks,

1:57:21

you can intelligence, figure out what's

1:57:23

going on with it. You can

1:57:25

strength. use the machete or I

1:57:27

believe object to you know, you can

1:57:29

just you know, bash it and smash

1:57:32

it like without a couple of things

1:57:34

there. No, and I don't think

1:57:36

that does. I think it has to

1:57:38

do some other way. So what's funny

1:57:40

though, I didn't have the the strength

1:57:42

to do it, but hard knock

1:57:45

had leveled during the previous

1:57:47

fight. So I actually put

1:57:49

a point intelligence. And that plus

1:57:51

my luxury was just enough and

1:57:53

Mentas was just enough pushing over the edge

1:57:55

to get it. I was about to offer some

1:57:57

Barry Mentats to you if you needed it. Yeah, I

1:57:59

had to try. I had to try twice.

1:58:01

The first time I couldn't, and

1:58:03

I'm like, I don't know what

1:58:05

the number is, doesn't think what

1:58:08

the number is. But I took more,

1:58:10

and it was, yeah, got me through.

1:58:12

So got in, and we finally

1:58:14

make our way, and Blackburn

1:58:16

has impressed our tenacity,

1:58:19

but we're too late. He had

1:58:21

missed everything he's done. He would

1:58:23

do it again. He regrets the

1:58:26

innocence had to be harmed, and

1:58:28

stuff, but yeah. Sorry, sorry isn't

1:58:30

good enough. And so you can

1:58:33

learn a bit about his plan

1:58:35

and he says, but you're too

1:58:37

late to stop me, it's already

1:58:39

in motion, and he says he

1:58:42

has associates currently finishing

1:58:44

rolling this out and he

1:58:46

won't tell you more. But

1:58:51

you can ask all kinds of questions

1:58:53

about what he did here and why.

1:58:55

And he's well, you know, he's classically,

1:58:57

he's willing to tell you some, but you

1:59:00

don't get the whole plan per se.

1:59:02

You don't know where the others are.

1:59:04

And you don't know exactly what he

1:59:06

wants to achieve or what he thinks

1:59:08

he has achieved, because he hasn't actually

1:59:11

tested the final version from what he

1:59:13

says. Like, sure, it's done in his mind,

1:59:15

but it hasn't been tested. So people

1:59:17

know that it's going to work. Like

1:59:20

I mean I think his ideal variety

1:59:22

would keep us mostly human

1:59:24

right and just toughen us up.

1:59:26

Yeah he said like super mutants

1:59:29

were never actually his plan

1:59:31

that they just kind of

1:59:33

happened like he was just

1:59:35

trying to make people more

1:59:37

resistant to the environment. Captain

1:59:40

America was his plan. He

1:59:42

got whole exactly the whole super

1:59:44

soldier classic thing but he held

1:59:46

a lot of people in the way. So

1:59:48

after that, you know, you're bringing justice,

1:59:50

you've got to go back and report

1:59:52

to your money like always. Valdez will

1:59:54

stay with Blackburn until the recovery crew

1:59:57

comes in to pick him up and take him

1:59:59

back. And

2:00:04

that wraps the quest for

2:00:06

this week. Yeah, I actually

2:00:09

really enjoyed Vault 96. So

2:00:11

I posted a picture of

2:00:13

this. This didn't happen when

2:00:16

I went through on my

2:00:18

own character, I don't think,

2:00:21

but when Jess was talking

2:00:23

to Blackburn, I noticed that

2:00:25

once again, there was a

2:00:28

character that only had one

2:00:30

arm. Yeah, Valdez only had

2:00:32

one arm. Yeah. a few pictures of

2:00:35

that, but yeah, she's just standing

2:00:37

there without her left arm. Totally

2:00:39

fine. I mean, this is some

2:00:41

weird, amusing glitch going on in,

2:00:43

um, and still like ours, install. But

2:00:45

yeah, it's perfectly normal for

2:00:47

me. Is it always the same arm

2:00:50

or does it switch? Yeah, it's always

2:00:52

the left one. Huh. I don't know

2:00:54

what's causing it. I'm not upset about

2:00:56

it. Like it doesn't really affect anything.

2:00:58

But it's just, yeah, I just

2:01:00

happen to look over. I just happen

2:01:02

to look over. I'm so sorry.

2:01:04

It's very strange looking, you know. It's

2:01:07

odd and it's not the gun arm though

2:01:09

because apparently there are no

2:01:11

lefties in the wasteland from

2:01:13

what I've seen. So they're

2:01:15

not like trying to fire

2:01:17

armless like like Raymond or

2:01:20

like disembodied and detached. But

2:01:22

uh, but yeah, just a story wise,

2:01:24

you know, we've learned a lot more

2:01:26

about what's going on here in Appalachia

2:01:29

over these couple. You know, we've

2:01:31

discovered this whole. pretty much

2:01:33

the superhuman attacks and everything

2:01:35

is kind of related to Blackburn and his

2:01:37

experiments here. So the whole steel rain part

2:01:39

of it has is wrapping up with this

2:01:42

with Blackburn. As far as the ties in was

2:01:44

skilled on that was more about the Brotherhood

2:01:46

getting established as a whole. So while

2:01:48

they are completely connected stories that flow

2:01:50

one into the other, they're also kind

2:01:52

of separate. I mean, that was a

2:01:54

lot of it was just prologue learning

2:01:56

about Romani, learning about Shin, helping the

2:01:59

Brotherhood get established. We meet the War Party,

2:02:01

which I wonder if Bethesda was like, we introduced

2:02:03

this whole group of raiders. It's got nothing really

2:02:05

to do with them. Like what are they

2:02:07

going to do with them? And so they do

2:02:09

the whole quest with the sister and

2:02:12

down in the

2:02:14

having to recover them. But they really

2:02:16

don't seem to have a whole lot

2:02:18

of point beyond that. It's just kind

2:02:20

of texture, I suppose, expanding

2:02:23

the lore of the area. But

2:02:25

I'm definitely enjoying it. I thought these were fun.

2:02:27

I thought the difficulty ramped up more than it

2:02:29

did. I mean, obviously it ramped up some. But

2:02:32

Vault 96 .2 is a cool location.

2:02:34

We go there plenty in daily ops. If

2:02:36

you do daily ops regularly, this

2:02:38

is a pretty common location. Yeah,

2:02:40

that and Canny Caverns. Those

2:02:43

are two really cool daily

2:02:45

ops locations. Yep. And neither

2:02:47

were daily ops originally. After this was introduced, it

2:02:49

took a good six months or a year before

2:02:51

they became daily ops locations. But they were good

2:02:53

ones. And

2:02:56

it's much easier during daily ops. You don't have to go

2:02:59

terminal to terminal note to note

2:03:01

unlocking rooms. That's good. Any

2:03:05

other thoughts on today's question? I'll

2:03:08

finish him. I'm

2:03:11

going to go make some troubleshooters armor and

2:03:13

I'll be right back. Yeah.

2:03:15

Hey, you know, I have a

2:03:17

piece of the yeah, I was to

2:03:19

say, if you need help, I

2:03:22

can run through. I might have to

2:03:24

flag someone down. Who knows? It

2:03:26

gives give a this Romani doesn't provide

2:03:28

a distraction. So as long as

2:03:30

you have somebody actually that can distract

2:03:32

it a bit. intricate trail of

2:03:35

what are those mines that do electric

2:03:37

damage? Last month. Oh, Pulse. Pulse,

2:03:39

Pulse. Oh, the Pulse ones. Yeah.

2:03:41

I should make you go get

2:03:43

some Pulse mines or something. All

2:03:46

right. No, I have

2:03:48

no more thoughts on the question that you

2:03:50

guys. Ray, Eric, if

2:03:52

not, I mean,

2:03:54

Sheep Squatch was a bitch, but I did

2:03:56

enjoy it in 96. aren't

2:04:00

they though, right? Yeah. So let's give

2:04:02

a call, oversee what sort of news

2:04:04

we have this week. Jessica, to

2:04:06

the office, please. Jessica, to the

2:04:09

office, your iguanabits are ready.

2:04:11

Please come pick them up.

2:04:13

Thank you, Jess. So in

2:04:15

iguanabits this week, we don't have

2:04:17

a whole lot of game news, but

2:04:19

there is one serious kind of big

2:04:22

story that many of us have been

2:04:24

paying attention to all week. You may

2:04:26

have seen in discord or on Facebook.

2:04:29

or what have you. So actor West

2:04:31

Johnson, people know him as one of

2:04:33

the main voices of Bethesda. You

2:04:35

know, he's voiced so many classic

2:04:38

characters in the Elder Scrolls and

2:04:40

the Fallout Games, Fallout Series and

2:04:42

Starfield, plays Ron Hope at Starfield. So

2:04:44

West Johnson was going to a

2:04:47

convention down in the Atlanta area.

2:04:49

It was a benefit event for

2:04:51

the National Alzheimer's Foundation down

2:04:53

there. He went down to check in his

2:04:56

hotel room and he didn't show up at the

2:04:58

event. And... When he didn't show, of

2:05:00

course, people got worried. After a while,

2:05:02

they went to check on him and they

2:05:04

couldn't get into the room and so hotel

2:05:07

security had to get in and he was

2:05:09

in his hotel room unresponsive. So

2:05:11

he got rushed to the hospital

2:05:13

and the ICU. And this was actually,

2:05:15

I mean, at this point, this was a

2:05:17

good 10 days ago. The information didn't

2:05:19

come out until around the 26 or

2:05:21

27th of the month. It was like

2:05:24

two days in, like we didn't know

2:05:26

immediately. You know, because it had to

2:05:28

be confirmed, and obviously news

2:05:30

isn't going to spread immediately.

2:05:33

But so he was in the hospital

2:05:35

in the ICU for several days.

2:05:37

He had to be intubated, was

2:05:39

not doing well. It was very

2:05:41

worrisome. There was a fundraiser started,

2:05:44

and stuff to kind of help

2:05:46

him and his wife, because he's

2:05:48

had a number of health issues,

2:05:50

and between that and the voice actor

2:05:52

strikes and stuff like that. It's been

2:05:55

hard times for them as far as

2:05:57

that goes and you know health insurance

2:05:59

has an act. Anyway, it's a whole

2:06:01

thing. So people pitched in together

2:06:03

to help the fundraiser. They were

2:06:05

trying to raise $50,000. They actually

2:06:07

raised over $200,000, I think. So

2:06:10

help with his bills, help keep

2:06:12

the family going. Obviously, he won't

2:06:14

be able to work for a

2:06:16

bit. But the good news, of

2:06:18

course, out of all this, is that

2:06:21

he is recovering. After a couple days,

2:06:23

they were able to de-end debate

2:06:25

him, but he was still in the

2:06:27

ICU. And then, I believe, two days.

2:06:29

out of the weeds and he was

2:06:31

going to be okay. And then yesterday

2:06:34

he kind of poked out, took a

2:06:36

couple pictures, made a statement that

2:06:38

he was doing okay. And I

2:06:40

believe today or yesterday he, yeah,

2:06:42

this being Friday, it was earlier

2:06:44

today that he was able to

2:06:47

leave the hospital and will be

2:06:49

recovering at home now. After a

2:06:51

good 9-10 days in the hospital

2:06:53

and most of that in the

2:06:55

ICU. Say what it was? Did

2:06:58

you say like heart attack, stroke?

2:07:00

What, well, they still don't know.

2:07:02

I was watching the stream that

2:07:04

the, that Ken was doing earlier

2:07:06

today and they still haven't

2:07:08

figured out exactly what

2:07:11

it is. Yeah. They think

2:07:13

it's heart related, but we're

2:07:15

not sure. Yep. Yep. The whole

2:07:17

thing. Very, very serious. Exactly.

2:07:20

And hopefully he recovers well. You know,

2:07:22

his wife was able to be with him

2:07:24

there most of the time. And because it

2:07:26

was for a, at least was for a

2:07:28

benefit, an Alzheimer's benefit, where he

2:07:31

knew some people and they were, had people

2:07:33

there to be able to support him

2:07:35

that people were able to, you know, be

2:07:37

there right away. And yeah, just such a

2:07:39

big thing. But I'm so happy to

2:07:41

hear he's. doing better and should make

2:07:44

a full recovery. So thoughts with him.

2:07:46

Yeah, he's one of the nicest

2:07:48

guys you'll ever meet. I actually,

2:07:51

yeah, you met him May of

2:07:53

2023. He was at the local

2:07:55

convention here and he, he'll treat

2:07:57

you like family. Like I, um,

2:07:59

was standing outside the door getting

2:08:02

ready to let people in

2:08:04

because I was volunteering and

2:08:06

he was walking by and

2:08:08

I chatted with him a

2:08:10

little bit for the kickoff

2:08:12

for the Alzheimer's fundraiser

2:08:15

and like he walked right over to

2:08:17

me gave me a hug took some

2:08:19

pictures with me got me into his

2:08:21

speech that he did. He took several

2:08:24

pictures with me signed stuff

2:08:26

for me and didn't ask.

2:08:28

him to do any

2:08:30

of that. He just

2:08:32

did it. Um, can't

2:08:35

say any enough good

2:08:37

things about less. So,

2:08:40

so glad that he's

2:08:43

out now recovering. He's

2:08:45

able to speak and

2:08:48

he'll be, uh, makes

2:08:50

full recovery.

2:08:52

I just want to mention the exciting

2:08:54

thing this weekend is double score weekend.

2:08:56

So if you are on the edge

2:08:59

of level rank 100, like myself

2:09:01

and Andrew, and you want to

2:09:03

get that cactus scratching post or

2:09:05

you want to like me finish it up,

2:09:07

I actually want the doggy pile of leaves

2:09:09

on the same level. Yeah, that sounds

2:09:11

pretty cool to watch the puppy roll

2:09:13

around and that will just be pretty

2:09:16

cool. You can build more than one

2:09:18

thing. I've got the hole with the

2:09:20

bone sticking out of it and the

2:09:22

leaf pile. So you can build both.

2:09:24

It's not one or the other. Do

2:09:27

you get two dogs? No, just the

2:09:29

one dog. Rip off. Because I would

2:09:31

have the white shepherd in my camp

2:09:33

as well, but I only have one.

2:09:35

You should be able to have at least

2:09:37

a dog and a cat. That would

2:09:39

be nice too, for sure. For sure.

2:09:42

Then we got double XP and

2:09:44

Foshnot coming up again starting around

2:09:46

Valentine's. Foshnok starts just after Valentine's.

2:09:48

That's what we're looking forward to

2:09:50

in a couple of weeks. I've done

2:09:52

Foshnok in a while it feels like we didn't

2:09:54

have it like six times this past year. You

2:09:56

know what I mean? Like, I feel like the

2:09:58

previous year we had it. way too much. Yeah

2:10:00

that one year we had it was it seemed

2:10:02

like a bunch times it was only like

2:10:05

three but then there was also the test

2:10:07

server false start you know there was the

2:10:09

test or then there was the false start

2:10:11

where they had to not do it and

2:10:14

then bring it back again later and yeah

2:10:16

so this year much more reasonable. No other

2:10:18

big news no other big news happening the

2:10:20

atomic shop is mostly retreds although

2:10:22

there is a pretty cool nucleicola

2:10:25

bundle. Okay you guys. So this

2:10:27

is a little just conspiracy

2:10:29

theory here stuff here, but if

2:10:31

you have been paying attention to

2:10:33

the atomic shop and you saw

2:10:35

the fallout first item that came

2:10:37

out where we have the nucleicola

2:10:39

fountain lamp and maybe you saw

2:10:41

in the bundle that we have

2:10:43

that classic nucleicola

2:10:45

machine which if you look

2:10:48

closely looks almost exactly like

2:10:50

a fallout three nucleicola machine.

2:10:52

So we've got a fallout three

2:10:55

nucleicola machine. Fallout 76. You've

2:10:57

got this fountain, this fountain,

2:10:59

does it look familiar? Oh

2:11:01

my God, if you travel

2:11:03

to the Nukakkola factory in

2:11:05

Fallout 3, this is the

2:11:07

exact same fountain in the center

2:11:09

room. Retectored and rebuilt

2:11:11

for Fallout 76 and Fallout 4.

2:11:13

Why would they be making these assets

2:11:16

just for the atomic shop? Or

2:11:18

is it for some hitherto unknown

2:11:20

fabled new remake of Fallout 3?

2:11:22

Who knows? You might be on to

2:11:24

something. I feel like this is evidence

2:11:27

that, you know, they are they are

2:11:29

doing stuff with it and it's bleeding

2:11:31

over. Now, maybe, maybe they're just

2:11:33

reaching back to fall three and

2:11:36

rebuilding for 76. The atomic shop

2:11:38

does make them money, but I

2:11:40

feel like they probably wouldn't

2:11:43

do that unless they were going to

2:11:45

use them again and something

2:11:47

else. Just my thought. Ain't going

2:11:49

to happen. We will see. We will

2:11:51

see. That is it for the gauntlet.

2:11:53

I just, for our shouts on our

2:11:56

way out the door today, I just

2:11:58

wanted to extend a very happy... Happy

2:12:00

birthday over there to Kevin Collis

2:12:02

our good buddy. So happy birthday

2:12:05

Kevin, hope you enjoy it very

2:12:07

much and Mo would like to

2:12:10

give you a wish as well.

2:12:12

Enjoy it. So any other topics

2:12:14

anyone would like to bring up

2:12:17

while we're on the show this

2:12:19

evening? Then in that case

2:12:21

I'll send everyone over to

2:12:23

Ian Gold08 to check out

2:12:25

Eric stuff for you that

2:12:27

on Blue Sky as well

2:12:29

sir. Oh, yesterday was

2:12:32

Strata Blaster's birthday.

2:12:34

Hey, Strata Blaster,

2:12:37

I will also

2:12:39

extend one to

2:12:41

you. Scorecation!

2:12:44

Happy, level up day!

2:12:46

There you go. That's

2:12:48

even better. All right.

2:12:51

How about a Monty

2:12:53

Python one? And there

2:12:55

was much rejoicing.

2:13:00

All right, so in that case

2:13:02

Ian Gold 08 ever aware And

2:13:05

he has very many podcasts that

2:13:07

I will let him tell you

2:13:09

about right now Eric. Thanks so

2:13:12

much for hopping on work and

2:13:14

we find you Yeah, it's always

2:13:16

pleasure So the the two one

2:13:19

there the main two that

2:13:21

I've got going on is

2:13:23

tapes from the wastes and

2:13:25

starfield sandwich Yeah, both of those

2:13:27

I do with my good buddy KBB

2:13:29

And I did dust off Nintendo

2:13:32

recently with the announcement of this

2:13:34

switch too. So whether or not

2:13:36

people listen to that, I do

2:13:39

knows. Maybe I'll keep it going.

2:13:41

Probably won't do another episode of

2:13:43

that until we actually get the

2:13:46

actual real announcement. Right. The switch

2:13:48

too. But yeah, it was fun dusting

2:13:50

that off a little bit. Great. Since

2:13:52

I'd also been playing my switch a

2:13:55

little bit more lately. So. Um, yeah,

2:13:57

and then I've got an elder squirrel

2:13:59

show. that I haven't done in

2:14:02

over a year or so.

2:14:04

Dormant and resurrected podcasts. All

2:14:06

2:14:27

2:14:29
