0:07

podcasting Hello

0:31

and welcome to the 500

0:33

and 7th edition of the

0:35

fallout feed. I am Andrew

0:38

joined by a few of

0:40

my favorite fallout folks. Tonight,

0:42

I've got Ray. What's up,

0:44

Ray? Hello, hello? And Jess, what's

0:47

going on, Jess? Hey Andrew

0:49

Greeps everybody. Tonight on

0:51

the show, we go over gameplay

0:53

on the top as per usual.

0:55

Then we got a double dip

0:58

dose of the game time. Excited

1:00

about that. Just brought the mean

1:02

team of games for us. Also

1:04

a little bit of a guana

1:06

bits and a little bit of

1:08

remembrance at the end of the

1:11

show tonight. Let's go ahead and

1:13

roll right into it and check

1:15

in with everybody, see what we'll

1:17

be getting into. Jess, do you

1:19

have a chance playing video games

1:21

this week? I think we need

1:23

to satisfy Shat's curiosity first.

1:25

In the lead up to the

1:28

show, you had me dying here behind

1:30

this microphone because you were showing me

1:32

these cute little charms. You want to

1:35

tell us what you got right here? sort

1:37

of foam rubbery little charms

1:39

that you have little pins

1:41

that you they only go

1:44

super high class footwear super

1:46

high class yeah I'm talking

1:48

like stiletto heels because

1:50

I wear lots of those you

1:52

know really nice you know just

1:54

the the top the line footwear

1:56

stuff you know how you tap shoes

1:59

he looks kind of thing. Put

2:01

charms on your top of the lime,

2:03

you know. No, I have, I just

2:05

was digging around in my drawer and

2:07

found a little pack of crock pins

2:09

that my wife got me for

2:11

Christmas. There's fallout themed crock

2:13

pins, but they're all just

2:16

looking out. They're all really

2:18

cute. Breaking news, Andrew has

2:20

crocks, toes out for fallout. That's,

2:22

that's what I was kind of

2:24

surprised with. Is that a... A big

2:27

surprise, doesn't everyone have like a junky

2:29

pair of crocks that they wear for

2:31

gardening shoes or whatever these days? Do

2:33

you not have a pair of crocks?

2:35

To be fair, they're pretty, they're pretty

2:37

popular, I do not have crocks, no.

2:39

My fad footwear that people make fun

2:42

of are that I still love my

2:44

tivas. No way. She's so naive. I know,

2:46

they're so comfy though. What about ugs, did

2:48

you ever get a pair of ugs or

2:50

fake ugs? floppy boots that don't give any

2:53

shitty, they don't give any shitty, any shitty

2:55

support at all? I love ugs. I call them

2:57

booties because I've only, I love booties because

2:59

I've only had off-brand ugs. So you know,

3:01

you go, you get like the pay less

3:04

ugs, you get to these ugs, you wear

3:06

them for a couple years. Indoor outdoor, you

3:08

get a new pair. They're fantastic. Tossing away.

3:10

I don't wear them out the house unless

3:12

we're talking just to get the mail or

3:15

something. Like, I have standards. I'm wearing my

3:17

clogs, like, like, like, or crocks, you know

3:19

when I'm mowing the one I'm mowing the

3:21

lawns. I'm sitting on my lawn tractor putting

3:23

around the yard when I'm wearing mine. A

3:25

safety person will probably say, oh no, no,

3:28

never know, with soft toad shoes on. But

3:30

yeah, we laugh, we laugh at people with

3:32

crocks, but the thing is, crock lovers

3:34

kind of square by them. I know that

3:36

they're casual shoes, some people just love.

3:38

They love their crocks, but I just

3:40

also, there's also like this big pushback

3:42

where, you know, grown men don't wear

3:44

crocks, I've seen a lot of yes,

3:46

but it's, but it's, but it's pretty

3:48

funny. But it's pretty funny. But it's

3:50

pretty funny. And the fact that you

3:52

have fallout charms. Yeah, fallout charms. Like

3:54

those are so cool. Like I'm actually

3:57

like, oh wow, that's actually kind

3:59

of neat. I think my wife

4:01

was looking for Nintendo themed ones

4:03

for my son and accidentally found

4:05

these and just had to get

4:08

them too. You know what I mean?

4:10

Absolutely. With your footwear

4:12

doesn't have a vault boy on it.

4:15

Oh man, I've got a rat away here

4:17

and a little mini nuke. Man, I could,

4:19

they could flag me at the airport

4:21

with these. Yeah. All his weapons and

4:24

stuff. Yep, they could flag you all

4:26

kinds of places running around of

4:28

those sheets of little follow-up

4:31

charms. Flag me? Yes. Video games.

4:33

I'm sorry y'all, but I had to

4:35

tell you I had to had to rat

4:37

him out. I don't know why it's a

4:39

big rat out. It's not really. You

4:41

know, I confess to my eggs. We're

4:44

all good. 80% of the population owns

4:46

ugs or crocks or crocks or

4:48

one or the other or both. They really

4:50

do if anything I just ratted

4:52

myself. And I have neither so

4:54

Ray's retired. He doesn't put

4:57

on shoes anymore. That's true. I'd

4:59

have to glue those things top of

5:01

my feet. I bet you have a

5:03

pretty good comfy pair of slippers,

5:05

right? Or do you go around

5:08

barefoot? I'm mostly barefoot. You're

5:10

a TV's guy too, though, right?

5:12

Isn't that what you were wearing

5:14

walking around when... You came to

5:16

when I you visit you had some

5:19

like strappy sandals on like that, right?

5:21

Are you a you a Teva guy

5:23

TV? No, I mean, I I do

5:26

wear leather sandals from time to time.

5:28

You know, if I'm going to

5:30

the grocery store or something. That's

5:32

a little fancy. But yeah, no,

5:35

they're yeah, not on my not on

5:37

my shoe agenda. What is your shoe

5:39

agenda? What's your favorite pair

5:41

of shoes? Well, my favorite pair

5:43

of shoes is none. None, of course.

5:46

It's just like melee. You're

5:48

like unarmed. My second favorite

5:50

would probably be boat shoes.

5:52

Boat shoes. Yeah, just a regular pair

5:55

of dock shoes. I was going to

5:57

ask, are boat shoes different than

5:59

dock? shoes because my dad always

6:02

said, dock shoes and stuff. Okay,

6:04

so we've got a lot of

6:06

chat weighing on here. First of

6:08

all, Strata Blaster says barefoot is

6:10

the way, Ray. So he knows

6:12

what's up. Angel says her kids

6:14

have crocks in every color and

6:17

we wear them every day if they

6:19

could. Oh no, I'm a stupid kid.

6:21

Bob is in chat too and

6:23

he says what's a crock. So

6:26

he's feigning ignorance. Something tells

6:28

me he's got a pair. Don't play

6:30

that Bob. Never owned Crocks. Oh,

6:32

Randall Wasteland says Stiletto Drew is

6:35

what they call you in those

6:37

stilettos you open the show with.

6:39

You should see my stiletto Crocks.

6:41

Whoa, high heel Crocks, height of fashion.

6:44

You know, I can't say anything.

6:46

I mean, I had platformed Doc

6:48

Martins when I was younger, so. I

6:51

want the body of the body of

6:53

the footwear to be Crock, but then

6:55

from... You know, the top of the, like,

6:57

mid-top of the foot going up to mid-calf

6:59

to be ug. Can I get a crug?

7:01

I actually think I may have seen something

7:03

like a crug before. You've got the

7:06

plastic base with holes in it and

7:08

then it's got like a little ankle

7:10

warmer, like a little booty coming up.

7:12

Shoes are weird, y'all. I love shoes,

7:14

but I think we've run out of

7:16

ideas sometimes. People come up with some

7:18

weird stuff. My favorite thing, my wife

7:20

says. She's really into, I

7:23

just blanked on the name.

7:25

The movie with Luke

7:27

Wilson and Terry Cruz

7:29

is the president and

7:32

it's the crazy future

7:34

and everyone's an idiot

7:36

and they drink electrolytes

7:38

for, what the fuck

7:41

is that movie? Paradise?

7:43

Paradise? What is that

7:45

fucking movie? My root off is

7:47

in it. Idiocracy, right. My favorite thing

7:50

about that is my wife was telling

7:52

me that she heard an interview with

7:54

the producer who said that they wanted to

7:57

display how idiotic everyone is in

7:59

the future. having them all wear

8:01

the world's stupidest shoes and he

8:03

just happened to found it was

8:05

it ended up being Crocks like

8:07

they accidentally sort of predicted

8:09

the the idiot future with with how popular

8:12

Crocks got all the sudden because they were

8:14

like almost unknown when they're making the movie

8:16

and he's like someone evidently found it was

8:19

like well those are the stupidest looking shoes

8:21

I've ever seen let's put every idiot in

8:23

the movie in those and so everyone looked like

8:25

an idiot and evidently most of the characters

8:27

I haven't checked to like watch the movie

8:29

to see but they evidently a lot of

8:31

the characters are wearing crocks in that movie

8:33

which is hilarious well It's kind of

8:36

prescient that you mentioned

8:38

idiocracy because you may

8:40

remember the president in

8:42

that movie was President

8:44

Mountain Dew Camacho. That was

8:47

his name, President Mountain Dew

8:49

Camacho. And that is relevant

8:52

to today's game. Mountain Dew

8:54

or Mountain Don't, when we get

8:56

there. It's going to be a fun

8:58

one, y'all, but you're going to

9:00

wait for that. I mean, it's been,

9:02

it's been a week. But last weekend

9:05

I crammed in a lot of game

9:07

time Saturday Sunday. So I've been threatening

9:09

to beat a vowed for a

9:11

while I've been updating my progress

9:13

then my lack of progress for a

9:15

while than my progress I beat a vowed

9:18

twice last weekend Because you know

9:20

does that mean to restart and

9:22

beat it again or did you? Well, no,

9:24

I mean twice. Yeah, I beat the

9:26

ending twice I had to go back

9:28

away. So what happened got through and?

9:30

I finished it up I was probably

9:32

I thought I was close to the end, I thought

9:34

I could maybe get it starting to night, but really

9:36

it took, it took until probably

9:38

Sunday morning at least, actually, sorry,

9:40

that's an exaggeration. I finished it

9:43

Sunday morning and then didn't get all

9:45

the achievements, that's when I went back Saturday

9:47

afternoon, after I woke up in and beat

9:49

it a second time. So, the first time

9:51

through, it was actually pretty long ending, pretty

9:53

in depth, and I'm getting all these achievements

9:56

pop, like, it's so satisfying, after a hundred

9:58

or so hours in a game. when

10:00

you get in there suddenly like

10:02

collected all the save points collected

10:04

all the fast travel points collected

10:07

all the campsites you're like yeah

10:09

yeah yeah I'm awesome yeah and then you hit

10:11

the very end and you realize wait

10:13

one of them didn't pop and oh and

10:15

then oh another one didn't pop and you

10:17

beat the final boss and you get

10:19

the credits and it's gorgeous and

10:21

you get the perfect ending you

10:23

wanted you're so happy but then you look

10:26

and you didn't get the achievement

10:28

rating max level and I was so

10:30

mad, so I loaded back into the

10:32

game before that save. Guess how many

10:35

experience points I was from Max

10:37

level when I loaded back in?

10:39

This is out of a couple

10:41

hundred some thousand. Two, less

10:43

than ten. That would make an

10:45

amazing story, and it was 459.

10:47

I was 459 experience points short.

10:49

out of the entire range. So

10:51

I'm like, okay, so I run

10:53

back from the final boss, I

10:55

run backwards, and I'm scouring the

10:57

map, seeing back finding more enemies

10:59

to kill. And I do, I

11:01

find some, and then I'm 203

11:03

experience points from Max level. And

11:05

I cannot find any more, and

11:07

I'm so mad. That's okay. I go

11:10

to bed because that's what people do.

11:12

Anything else other than combat? Can you

11:14

like craft up your your XP or

11:16

anything? It doesn't have the systems for

11:19

XP at all. No, you get XP

11:21

for discovering locations or finishing quests and

11:23

for combat primarily. So it's

11:25

okay because I did, I didn't get

11:27

some achievements pop and there's also multiple

11:30

endings. So I got the really good

11:32

ending and you know, I wanted to experiment,

11:34

flirt with some of the bad endings for

11:36

the achievements. So I went back in the

11:38

next day and I loaded back in from

11:40

probably two, three hours before the ending.

11:42

It was a little ways. And then I got

11:45

the one for instead of saving God. Some

11:47

games you got to kill God. Well, in this one you

11:49

kind of got to save your God. But then I got

11:51

the achievement for killing your God, which was very sad and

11:53

I did not like it. So, but I did that just

11:55

for the children and then reloaded. Then I went through

11:57

and I got the one that I missed for there

11:59

wasn't one final. memory I didn't collect so

12:01

I got that one and then I fought my

12:03

way through it this and then I got to

12:06

like the final conclave for the big battle

12:08

and I had to once again she has the

12:10

evil option it may surprise you guys I

12:12

don't like taking the evil option the first

12:14

time usually so I took the evil option

12:17

the first time usually so I took the

12:19

evil option even though it hurts that all

12:21

my friends hated me and they told me

12:23

how awful I was and they all left

12:25

my party and rig would probably be

12:28

like good it was very sad But

12:30

then I reloaded it and got

12:32

it back and I did all

12:34

the little alternate things there. I

12:36

got the final achievement for Poppy

12:38

I got the final achievement for

12:40

this and that and then I'm on my

12:42

way fighting to the final battle and

12:44

halfway through the city I get

12:46

max level and I have

12:48

Almost all achievements. There are a

12:51

couple that didn't pop for me. I

12:53

think one of them is bugged, but

12:55

the other and the others I know

12:57

I didn't happen this fine. And I

12:59

got like almost like 800 game a score

13:01

on it and some of those achievements you

13:03

guys are like 0.27% 0.51% like they have

13:06

some hard achievements in there so I feel

13:08

good. And 0.27.1% means the percentage

13:10

of players who have achieved that

13:12

accomplishment. Yeah people who started the

13:15

game who have gotten those achievements.

13:17

So a rare achievement is anything

13:19

under 10% so that's kind of

13:21

you can tell how many how what

13:23

percentage of players actually got to a

13:25

certain point in the game. You know,

13:27

it's like, like if the

13:29

first achievement is exit the

13:31

vault, you're like, okay, this

13:33

person made a character and

13:35

exited the vault. 83%. You're

13:37

like, wait, just 17% to start

13:39

the game? Look at the menu and

13:42

say after that. Yeah, they can figure

13:44

out how to open the door and

13:46

they just quit. They're like, no

13:48

heck in way. My dad is

13:50

Liam Nieson, this will not stand

13:52

and they just leave, you know,

13:54

I don't, I don't know. But yeah.

13:57

called Elder Girls for oblivion.

13:59

No, we're not. We're talking about the remaster.

14:01

We're talking the O.G. I played a bit

14:03

of that last weekend too because I was

14:05

very confident about the remakes

14:07

coming out. Well, you guys know I

14:10

was confident, even though I hadn't been

14:12

announced and things were happening. And so

14:14

I had a few, I wanted to

14:16

do some video comparisons and photo comparisons.

14:18

So I took photos of some

14:20

major landmarks. I took a couple of

14:23

videos where from the Imperial City,

14:25

walking to Coralgate and back. from

14:27

the Imperial City, walking through Skingrad to Anvil

14:29

and back. And so I did it, I

14:31

got an hour or two of video, just

14:33

doing stuff like that, that I could then

14:36

record in the remakes during when it released

14:38

and do a little comparison with the two. I

14:40

thought that would be fun. Yeah, like what would be

14:42

sweet. Played the game. Oh, it was just,

14:44

it was fun being back in O.G. Oblivion,

14:46

like for real and actually playing it, you

14:48

know, I definitely enjoyed that, seeing my

14:50

own character. reacquainting

14:52

myself with the combat in the

14:55

original so I compare the two

14:57

and just Wiggling your sword at

14:59

an ogre to win, Bob's actually

15:01

in chat right now. And Bob

15:03

was mentioned, you know, he's still

15:06

finishing up, wrapping up O.G. Oblivion

15:08

too, because he's been playing, I

15:10

think O.G. Oblivion for a good

15:12

year or two, off and on. He's

15:14

been playing, I think O.G. Obliving for

15:16

a good year or two, off and

15:19

on. Just like, I wonder if he's

15:21

just going to finish the old one

15:23

and then start the new one.

15:25

immediately after finishing the old one

15:27

or if he would like hold off

15:29

at all and Then then I was gonna

15:31

ask you guys Have you guys ever played

15:34

a game? Jesse was just talking

15:36

about finishing the game you

15:38

were playing a game beat

15:40

it started immediately Started it over

15:42

again like oh, I want to play this

15:44

again right now. I got to play this

15:46

game again Oh, a lot of people report

15:49

doing that. The way I play games

15:51

taking so long, generally. You play 200

15:53

hour games. Probably I don't know. Often,

15:55

but I mean, I'm sure I have,

15:57

but I can't think of one right now.

15:59

But a lot of people don't like

16:02

a lot of our Baldur's Gate friends

16:04

for instance like Jen talks about doing

16:06

that in Baldur's Gate and a few

16:08

other friends like immediately finished the game

16:10

immediately new character I got this idea

16:12

I'm awaiting on I mean Ray you've done that

16:14

a number of times I'm sure finished the

16:16

game and then immediately and then yeah.

16:18

Does Starfield count? That's not really a

16:20

restart it's a reset almost you know what

16:23

I mean? For the New Game Plus? Yeah. Yeah. When

16:25

you beat it, you start it again. Like,

16:27

but it's just kind of different. Yeah, but

16:29

no, that kind of is bad. That kind

16:31

of is immediate going to New Game

16:33

Plus. And actually, New Game Plus for

16:35

other games is where I have done

16:38

it. Like, for instance, there's a game

16:40

called Bastion. I've mentioned before, because I

16:42

love the soundtrack. It's a great game from

16:44

Super Giant. You know, they've done

16:46

games like Pire, Pire, Transistor. Oh,

16:49

Hades. Everyone knows Hades. It's

16:51

like they're more recent games,

16:53

but it's popular. And Bastion

16:55

had a new game plus, and I

16:57

immediately jumped back in that

16:59

one. Bastion. Nice. Ray? Do you

17:01

ever start? Well, shit, Ray's like,

17:03

I played 10 minutes of this

17:05

character, I better restart it. That

17:07

doesn't count, Ray. No? Oh, damn. You

17:09

ever finished? Well, I don't know. Your

17:11

submarine games don't feel like, do they

17:14

have missions that you can finish the?

17:16

I mean, the online mode and

17:18

then a mission mode. It's

17:21

a continuous date, advance, game,

17:23

so eventually the war ends.

17:25

Does it restart? No. You

17:28

have to start over. You have

17:30

to start the war again. You

17:32

start saying some shit. You have

17:34

to roll back to 1939. No

17:37

one wants to do that. Yeah.

17:39

Yeah, I mean, when I first played

17:41

Fallout 4, you know, I went

17:43

through... trying to fashion right you know

17:45

finish it up then oh wait now these

17:47

other factions so i had to go through

17:50

each time with which each of the

17:52

factions and then i broke into i'll

17:54

play this character for 20 levels

17:56

and then i'll try this one

17:58

for 20 levels And then I

18:00

think that, I mean I've certainly had

18:03

characters that have just made it out

18:05

of the vault. Try each of the main

18:07

four factions. Yeah. Wow. That's pretty

18:10

awesome. We all got there, but some of

18:12

us took longer than others. Yeah,

18:14

we eventually did it through

18:17

roundtables. And then I think that,

18:19

I mean I've certainly had characters

18:21

that have just made it out of

18:23

the vault. So I don't think I

18:25

had anybody that I actually left in

18:28

the vault. So I think they all

18:30

of the concept. Yeah. So I'm pretty

18:32

sure I got that that achievement on

18:34

all of my characters. I do

18:37

have that one character that I

18:39

left in the vault. That is my

18:41

hard save on 111 before you

18:43

leave. So that you don't have

18:45

to sit through the intro over

18:47

and over and over again. That

18:49

person is permanently stuck

18:51

in the vault forever. I'm sorry

18:53

guy. Yeah, they're talking achievements in

18:55

chat right now a little bit

18:57

since we were, but I'm telling

18:59

them, but I usually try for

19:02

at least a hundred plus. If

19:04

it's a long game, I try

19:06

for at least 600 out of

19:08

a thousand, but it's preferably 800

19:10

or everything I can get, like

19:12

everything possible. But if I have less

19:14

than 600, I refuse to stop until

19:17

I get that. You know, that's just

19:19

kind of with a game if I finish

19:21

it. I was not aware of that. The

19:23

old downloadable games on Xbox Live Arcade

19:25

were 200 and regular games were

19:27

1,000 back on 360, which was pretty

19:30

annoying because you felt like you, okay, I

19:32

know this is silly, but sometimes it'd be

19:34

like, why would I play a game with

19:36

200 achievements and I could play with a

19:38

thousand achievements? And so I would skip the

19:41

occasional live arcade game just because even

19:43

if I wanted to play it because

19:45

achievements have broken me. But yeah,

19:47

so they pretty much all have a thousand,

19:49

but then the DLC often adds. So you'll

19:51

get games that have had multiple DLCs to

19:54

add more and more. That's like Fallout

19:56

4. You know, I had perfect through the

19:58

game and all the first five DLC. but then

20:00

didn't get all of nuka world when that

20:02

came out. No? Have you subsequently?

20:04

No, I've never, I, nope. All right, next

20:07

roundtable, achievements, achievements, achievements,

20:09

achievements, achievements. I mean, I

20:11

don't know many people who have 100%

20:13

did fall out for with all the nuka

20:16

world ones, but a few. Come on. Except

20:18

for he doesn't play console, so

20:20

what does steam have? They don't have

20:22

achievements. I assume they have some sort

20:24

of trophies or something, right? I see

20:26

crap pop up all the time, so

20:28

there must be something there. Do you

20:30

play through steam or what? For the

20:32

most part. I mean it just depends

20:35

on the game. Some people do

20:37

value those steam achievements. Like it

20:39

is actually a thing, Andrew. So

20:42

on PlayStation trophies, on Steam

20:44

and Xbox and Steam both use

20:46

the word achievements. So what you said?

20:48

Okay. And some of them match up, but

20:50

Steam usually has extra for some games too.

20:53

Oh. But some people really do compete there,

20:55

and people definitely on PlayStation value their trophies,

20:57

because you've got your silver and your gold,

20:59

but you've got the Platinum, which is something

21:01

Xbox doesn't have, and the Platinum is when you're

21:03

100% it. So that's when you get that thousand

21:06

game or square. You get the whole thing

21:08

you get a special achievement saying, or a

21:10

special trophy saying, hey, hey, Platinum Trophy. Platinum

21:12

Trophy. And they can't take that away from you with

21:14

the. And in their eyes 100% just

21:16

means collecting all the achievements, but

21:18

achievements are basically the milestones of

21:20

the game, so that if you

21:22

have collected all the achievements, you've

21:24

basically done everything in the game.

21:26

Exactly. And there are different philosophies

21:28

on adding achievements to the game.

21:31

Exactly. And there are different philosophies

21:33

on adding achievements to games. Some

21:35

just have as part of the

21:37

story, where by playing the main

21:39

story or by finishing the game,

21:41

you'll get all of the achievements.

21:43

And some, they make it more like a

21:45

fallout style or others like that, where

21:47

you'll get a significant number of them

21:49

for doing the main quest and factions

21:51

and side quests. But then there are

21:54

some that actually have to work for

21:56

that are hard. And then there are the

21:58

occasional game that makes them all.

22:00

obscure and difficult and a pain

22:02

in the ass and you play

22:04

like a hundred hours and you've

22:07

only got like 150 out of

22:09

a thousand and you was so

22:11

mad rough I just you know

22:13

don't you earn like your Xbox

22:15

live points or something via

22:17

achievements isn't that one of

22:20

the ways you Like pay for your

22:22

live access or whatever you used to be

22:24

able to get some that way Yeah, but

22:26

now they don't really play into that just

22:28

time played like actually playing game past games.

22:30

Oh actually no I shouldn't say that that's

22:32

not true you you do get some they've

22:34

have reworked a few times But there are

22:36

often achievements like get three achievements in a

22:38

game past game and so by earning any

22:40

achievement, you know Not specific achievements not

22:42

like total quantity, but get at least three

22:44

of this week and you get some point.

22:47

So yeah Gamepass is making me mad

22:49

today because I saw some ad where

22:51

I was like, oh, it's it's game

22:53

pass free play days Play all these

22:55

awesome games try them out for free

22:57

and I click on I'm a big

22:59

fan of the alien franchise so I

23:01

click on the alien game in there

23:03

and Like it's just like trying to

23:05

charge me nine ninety nine and I'm

23:07

like wait a second that's supposed to

23:09

be free try it out days. What

23:11

the hell's going on and then I

23:13

look at another game and I look

23:15

at another game it's not try it

23:17

for free days. It's try it for cheap

23:19

days then or something. So do they,

23:21

I was just thinking, am I looking at

23:24

this wrong? You might be looking at the

23:26

wrong version of the game too. I can't

23:28

figure it out. And not everything's in

23:30

game past, you know, it has to

23:32

be in game past for it to

23:34

work. But it was one of the

23:36

front, the reason I clicked on it

23:38

was because that was one of the

23:41

games advertised for free. So I clicked on

23:43

it and I was like, it was like, it.

23:45

But I want to tell you guys about

23:47

the most frustrating or the most dumb achievement

23:49

that I dealt with since they're talking about

23:51

it in chat. So in the game, mass effect and

23:53

drama, and I might have mentioned this a

23:55

couple years ago, so apologies if you've heard

23:58

this one before, but in mass effect. at

24:00

Andromeda, there is an achievement for

24:02

leaping the largest canyon in the

24:04

game, okay? It's on a moon

24:06

with very low gravity and you're

24:09

in your nomad, jing along and

24:11

you have to, you have to

24:13

jump, you have to completely clear

24:15

this canyon land on the other

24:17

side. And it's not that rare

24:20

of an achievement. It's like maybe

24:22

15, 20% like people get it.

24:24

And I tried for over three

24:26

hours. and I could not do

24:29

this in my nomad and I'm

24:31

running and I'm revving and I'm

24:33

avoiding the rocks I'm hitting the

24:35

jump and again and again I'm

24:37

so mad and and so I

24:40

like I'm gonna take a breather

24:42

and I go and I stop

24:44

a few times to watch YouTube

24:46

videos I'm like okay let's see

24:49

how the people did it and

24:51

they're doing exactly what I'm doing

24:53

and I just I can't imagine

24:55

because I have maxed my skills

24:57

I'm in a good place at

25:00

this And I'm not saying I'm

25:02

a great driver, but I'm a

25:04

pretty good driver, even with a

25:06

fake vehicle on an alien moon.

25:08

Well, actually, I say that, and

25:11

then I drive the Revate and

25:13

Star Fields maybe don't trust me

25:15

since I hit every rock on

25:17

the way. But turns out, turns

25:20

out it was my Xbox elite

25:22

controller, because it has trigger locks

25:24

on it. And so the trigger

25:26

lock was on, so you only

25:28

depress it halfway. And even though

25:31

I had a calibrated that halfway

25:33

equals full. The game was registering

25:35

it as like 95% and it

25:37

was not giving me the full

25:40

speed fully holding down it because

25:42

it was a dang trigger lock.

25:44

So yeah, agonized over that for

25:46

hours and hours and it was

25:48

just one little flipper button on

25:51

my controller. That's frustrating. As soon

25:53

as I turned it off, first

25:55

try. Well, because you had all

25:57

that practice first, you know what

25:59

I mean? I was a pro.

26:02

Yeah, absolutely. I was competition ready.

26:04

despite failing again and again. But

26:06

anyway, gameplay just finished up. I

26:08

did my fall out 76 weekly.

26:11

Some fall out 76 in Sunday,

26:13

Monday. And of course, the Oblivion

26:15

Remakester came out Tuesday, but I

26:17

honestly haven't, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, I

26:19

haven't played any games. I just

26:22

haven't been up for it. So

26:24

that's pretty much me. I'm curious

26:26

what you guys have been up

26:28

too. Yeah, right. What have you

26:31

been getting into this week, sir?

26:33

But I did have one achievement

26:35

in one game that I set

26:37

out to get. Let's see, what

26:39

do you think, Jess? It's got

26:42

to be something super... Let's see,

26:44

let's see, let's see, kill Preston,

26:46

just kill Preston, let's see. Oh,

26:48

in Starfield. Well, I know, I

26:50

see he's playing mostly, maybe he's

26:53

playing something else, maybe, was it

26:55

a no man sky one? I

26:57

don't know. I don't know, can

26:59

you tell us the game, right?

27:02

Or will that give it away?

27:04

Fall out for. Oh, you already

27:06

have them all, don't you? Well,

27:08

no, this is a new character

27:10

achievement. No, this is one. This

27:13

is when I was playing fallout

27:15

for at the start. And he

27:17

wanted a specific achievement. There was

27:19

one, there was one achievement that

27:22

I saw that I definitely wanted.

27:24

Good dog, go feed the dog.

27:26

No. Damn it. Is there one

27:28

for collecting all bobble heads? You

27:30

would want that. Is that it,

27:33

Gray? Bobble heads? No, I wouldn't

27:35

care if there was an achievement

27:37

for that. I would just do

27:39

it. The basis, the basis, the

27:42

basis. There you go. I remember

27:44

it in Diamond City. Diamond City.

27:46

Why that one? I remember you

27:48

mentioned that. Yeah, but why that

27:50

one in particular? I don't know.

27:53

It was just... I saw that

27:55

that was an achievement. Huh. I'm

27:57

like, okay, I want to do

27:59

that. I want to go run

28:01

the bases at old, I almost

28:04

call it regularly. What's it called

28:06

Fenway? Is that what the baseball

28:08

fanway? Fenway, right. No Andrew, it's

28:10

Diamond City. It's Diamond City. Yeah,

28:13

that's what I meant, sorry. That's

28:15

such an elegant achievement. I mean,

28:17

that kind of makes sense, you

28:19

know, it's simple, it's a... cool

28:21

one I like that one yeah

28:24

so all the rest of them

28:26

have just been you know I

28:28

couldn't I couldn't stop from giving

28:30

me an achievement you can't turn

28:33

them off sometimes you don't mean

28:35

to you don't mean to you're

28:37

like damn it I'm on vacation

28:39

it happens yeah all right either

28:41

have you ever gotten the nukicade

28:44

tickets there's like a hundred thousand

28:46

tickets or something you're supposed to

28:48

get I found like two thousand

28:50

one of these days I will

28:52

I think I'm in the 40

28:55

thousands and I just gave up.

28:57

Way more than me. I don't

28:59

know. We'll see. I did manage

29:01

to squeeze a few games in

29:04

this week. So, what you're playing?

29:06

Well, I deleted my install of

29:08

No Man's Guy. We have an

29:10

issues with it, right? Yeah, it

29:12

was something that was going weird.

29:15

It was super stuttery, even when

29:17

I turned the graphic settings down

29:19

and everything. So, I deleted it

29:21

and then reinstalled it and it's

29:24

been working great ever since. Awesome.

29:26

Glad that worked. So happy to

29:28

get that back. You know, Starfield

29:30

having a blast with my little

29:32

pirate character. I downloaded a couple

29:35

of pirate quality of life mods.

29:37

Nice. So one is a rum

29:39

meter and a parrot food stash.

29:41

One removes the timer on killing

29:43

the last witness. Oh, so they

29:46

get away, you can hunt them

29:48

down. Well, so there's a ridiculously

29:50

short timer on the, it's like

29:52

30 seconds that you have from

29:55

the time that you initiate an

29:57

attack until the time you have

29:59

to kill everybody. Oh my God,

30:01

that is a very tight window.

30:03

So you're talking about space combat,

30:06

right? Space combat if you go

30:08

in and commandeer a ship. Any

30:10

any illegal activity even on foot

30:12

down on the on the plan

30:15

too? Wow, but But now with

30:17

this mod, when you kill the

30:19

last witness, your bounty goes away.

30:21

And the place that's most significant

30:23

is taking over gal bank ships.

30:26

So if you want to rob

30:28

the bank, you know, that's usually

30:30

a long drawn out fight with

30:32

the security team on the inside

30:34

of the spaceship. Right. And so

30:37

you would rob the bank. and

30:39

get, maybe if you're lucky, maybe

30:41

10,000 credits, but if it was

30:43

a big ship with a lot

30:46

of people on it, you'd end

30:48

up with a $100,000 bounty. And

30:50

so, you know, you're losing money.

30:52

So with this, with this mod,

30:54

now, if you, if you, pirate

30:57

a ship, but you leave before

30:59

everybody's dead and you don't take

31:01

it over. and you just fly

31:03

off, you'll have a bounty. If

31:06

somebody escapes or if you're attacking

31:08

a ship and there's another ship

31:10

in the system and they escape,

31:12

then you'll have bounties. But as

31:14

long as there's no witnesses, there's

31:17

no crime. So then the other

31:19

thing is that robbing the galbank

31:21

ships is really kind of a

31:23

waste of time. I mean, you

31:26

can. you can get as many

31:28

credits robbing any ship. And so

31:30

I downloaded a mod that put

31:32

the the about the Galbank credit

31:34

tanks inside the bank inside the

31:37

bank inside the ship. So now

31:39

there's about a hundred thousand. Oh

31:41

yeah, because those credit tanks are

31:43

much more valuable. Like before I

31:45

agree, it's like robbing, robbing a

31:48

brinks truck or robbing an ice

31:50

cream truck. Not like that much

31:52

difference. Like you know, like no.

31:54

Petty catch. Yeah, so those two

31:57

mods made the pirate life much

31:59

more enjoyable. You

32:02

know, oftentimes if I'm playing, if

32:04

I'm playing, if I'm playing, if

32:06

I'm playing, if I'm playing no

32:08

man, Sky, you know, where there's

32:10

a baby, James. You know, oftentimes

32:12

if I'm playing, so like if

32:14

I'm playing No Man Sky, you

32:16

know, where there's a lot of

32:19

time just kind of mosing around

32:21

not doing anything too intense, I'll

32:23

watch YouTube videos on the side.

32:25

And so I started watching a

32:27

series from a couple of years

32:29

ago. This guy was playing Silent

32:31

Hunter 3 on hardcore mode, which

32:33

is how I used to play

32:35

it. And watching him... No periscope

32:37

allowed. It was... Well, there's no...

32:39

There's no computer assist. Oh my

32:41

God. You do everything. You have

32:43

to calculate your oh god damn

32:45

trajectories and stuff. Holy shit. Oh

32:47

yeah. Yep. And so that just

32:49

with every video I watched, I

32:51

got a little closer to a

32:53

little closer to hitting the button

32:56

and playing Silent Hunter again. It's

32:58

just such a time consuming game.

33:00

Birdray. Yeah. I've got too many

33:02

other games to play Andrew. There's

33:04

still only so much time, you

33:06

know, you got to sleep sometimes.

33:08

Yeah, so it was, it was

33:10

good to be back out to

33:12

sea, so. And then, of course,

33:14

you know, I, I pay for

33:16

this stupid Xbox service so that

33:18

if we ever do anything together

33:20

in fall out 76, I can,

33:22

I'm able to. Well, what's like

33:24

use of that then, shall we?

33:26

So I I downloaded oblivion. Oh

33:28

on the Xbox the new the

33:30

new one? Yep Did you get

33:32

any game on the end of

33:35

your belt for that? Did I

33:37

what? Did you get any game

33:39

time on your belt for that?

33:41

Oh yeah. Did you get to

33:43

play some on your Xbox? I

33:45

knew you couldn't resist the remaster,

33:47

but are you playing it on

33:49

Xbox primarily then with the controller

33:51

or no? Okay, good. Oh, we

33:53

used the Xbox game pass on

33:55

PC, perfect. Oh, I, I, I

33:57

rang pretty hard on oblivion. Yeah.

33:59

Initially. And, you know, finally, we,

34:01

on dramatic, we did a, an

34:03

oblivion roundtable where we did the

34:05

deal than the, in the Dark

34:07

Brotherhood. I feel, is it more

34:09

like they did, Ray? I'm trying

34:12

to remember, did you, did you,

34:14

did you stick with it or?

34:16

I'd read, I'd read through the

34:18

whole thing. Because what I ended

34:20

up doing was, that one, I

34:22

actually played on the Xbox. I

34:24

was so crappy with the controller

34:26

that it didn't matter how crappy

34:28

the game was. So I couldn't

34:30

stand it on PC, but with

34:32

a controller, I was so frustrated

34:34

by the fact that I could

34:36

control anything with the controller that

34:38

I forgot how slow and sluggish

34:40

the game was. I don't expect

34:42

this to work well anyway, so

34:44

it's fine. Where's when you got

34:46

a mouse, you're swinging a sword,

34:48

you expect to actually connect? Yeah.

34:51

So now with the remakester, it

34:53

is just glorious. Oh yeah? Yeah,

34:55

it plays quite well. Yeah. It

34:57

was a compelling game. I mean,

34:59

that's how I ended up sticking

35:01

with it through those two Westlines.

35:03

And admittedly, I went right back

35:05

there with this new character. Because

35:07

you know it was familiar and

35:09

you know and everything so I

35:11

still haven't done any of the

35:13

main storyline. But having fun the

35:15

next. Nonetheless, so I've got my

35:17

little sneaky Kajit Archer assassin, you

35:19

know, eventually I'll be a thief

35:21

too. So this is your first

35:23

character, your only character so far?

35:25

So far, yeah. And which direction

35:28

did you have first? Thieves Guild

35:30

stuff? So the first thing I

35:32

did was I started the Majes

35:34

Guild. Okay. Because I want to

35:36

be able to use illusion magic.

35:38

And that takes you everywhere too.

35:40

I'm in the Major's Guild class

35:42

getting the, getting the, getting the.

35:44

Yeah, you get to every city.

35:46

Recommendation from each city. Yeah, I

35:48

mean, that's an interesting way to

35:50

get around. It's kind of a

35:52

nice, kind of a nice goal,

35:54

like running the bases where you

35:56

go to a city and you

35:58

can just do the Major's Guild

36:00

Quest or when you're there, you

36:02

can explore, you can start doing

36:04

with. the Dark Brotherhood. So I

36:07

went into the yeskimadin in Brazil

36:09

and was going to kill the

36:11

woman in there that is a

36:13

non-essential character. Yeah, what's her name?

36:15

Like Alda or something? Nah, can't

36:17

be bothered with that. Okay, right.

36:19

Sorry. She's the only woman in

36:21

there. So she was easy to

36:23

spot. And so I killed her.

36:25

a guard came busting in and

36:27

arrested me. Criminal scum. I mean,

36:29

of course he got arrested. I'm

36:31

like, wait a minute. That's that

36:33

nobody's supposed to be watching. Yeah,

36:35

were you hidden? Like, was this

36:37

this hill? Yeah, mirrored. Okay. So

36:39

I reloaded and I was trying

36:41

to wait for her to get

36:44

in to a different position and

36:46

all that kind of stuff. So

36:48

there's a bed in there. So

36:50

I went in there. and slept

36:52

because I had a level up.

36:54

And when I woke up... the

36:56

chance was standing there. Oh. So

36:58

even after I had reloaded the

37:00

save that happened before that murder,

37:02

which caused me not to have

37:04

a bounty and not to get

37:06

arrested. It remembered that you had

37:08

done it. It remembered that I

37:10

did it. That doesn't usually happen

37:12

in my experience, but that's, there

37:14

you go, you tripped the flag,

37:16

apparently. Or maybe you killed another

37:18

innocent without realizing. No, because I

37:21

had slept, you know, before then

37:23

I was... I was doing a

37:25

lot of illusion grinding, casting my

37:27

light spell to try to get

37:29

my illusion up. So, yeah, I

37:31

definitely didn't kill anybody before then.

37:33

And then, so illusion, I showed

37:35

up and you had to do

37:37

the Peter Pan Quest. Did you

37:39

do that one yet? Well, you

37:41

kill Rufio. I'm sorry, Rufio is

37:43

a character from Hook. So, okay.

37:45

Sorry. Yeah. Yeah. So I took

37:47

care of that and got my.

37:49

Got my dark brotherhood outfit and

37:51

so my little cadet is super

37:53

sneaky and you know shooting everybody

37:55

with bows and arrows Sweet God,

37:57

it's been so much fun. It's

38:00

been so much fun. It's been

38:02

great. Thanks so much of the

38:04

community jumping into me. Obviously our

38:06

discord channel and Skyram and by

38:08

the way I named the Discord

38:10

Channel Skyram and Oblivion like five

38:12

years ago And it's finally appropriate.

38:14

Well, it's because of the roundtable.

38:16

I remember when you did that.

38:18

Yeah, exactly. It was when they

38:20

first did be moving roundtable. Yep.

38:22

Yeah. And so we're going to

38:24

record an episode next week. So

38:26

they'll definitely be more to come

38:28

on that. Did you run into

38:30

the... Sorry, go ahead. My heart

38:32

goes out to Michael, who has

38:34

not able to play till Saturday.

38:37

So by the time you hear

38:39

this, unless you're listening live, he

38:41

will have played, but he has

38:43

been dealing with all of us

38:45

chatting about it, talking about it,

38:47

most to everybody playing it, and

38:49

yet he has to wait till

38:51

he's home on Saturday to play.

38:53

So sorry, Michael. Yeah, so yeah,

38:55

so that's been a lot of

38:57

fun. Have you run into the

38:59

adoring fan yet? No, I haven't

39:01

done that one. Okay. Yeah, it

39:03

takes a while for a lot

39:05

of those. I mean, it's, living

39:07

is a big game. It's not

39:09

as big as Skyram in some

39:11

ways. I mean, we've got all

39:13

kinds of opinions and we'll talk

39:16

about a little bit more when

39:18

we get there, the remaster, and

39:20

I haven't played it yet, but

39:22

I mean, I love oblivion and

39:24

I'm often, like, do I do

39:26

I like Sky, like Skyri, like

39:28

Sky, like Sky, like Sky, like

39:30

Sky, like Sky, like, like, like,

39:32

like, like, like, like, like, like,

39:34

like, like, like, like, like, like,

39:36

like, like, like, like, like, like,

39:38

like, like, like, like, like, like,

39:40

like, like, like, like, like, like,

39:42

like, like, like, like, like, like,

39:44

like, like, like, like, like, like,

39:46

I believe it's a little bit

39:48

more quest and faction focus, crimes

39:50

a little bit more freedom of

39:53

exploration and radiant quest, stumble upon

39:55

things, but they're both awesome. I

39:57

can tell it's a very important

39:59

game in the series to a

40:01

lot of people, much like Fallout

40:03

3. It really pounds the nostalgia

40:05

button for a lot of people.

40:07

They played it back in the

40:09

day. I just, I don't have

40:11

that because I never played it

40:13

back in the day. So I

40:15

don't get that. That big nostalgia

40:17

button for it. So I'm not

40:19

I'm just like yay remake. I

40:21

mean, I don't really care I

40:23

do think you'll enjoy it when

40:25

you play it But I understand

40:27

if you're not in a rush

40:29

to because of that whole missing

40:32

nostalgia thing They say a lot

40:34

of their interviews this really set

40:36

the stage for the way they

40:38

design RPD is in a lot

40:40

of ways and I will tell

40:42

you one of the things they

40:44

focused on a lot was third

40:46

person So they did make it

40:48

a little bit better for someone

40:50

like you. Someone like me, what

40:52

do you mean? You know, goofy-footed.

40:54

People who run around and say,

40:56

I gotta say, we were pretty

40:58

damn prescient on this. We had

41:00

two big scores. The first one

41:02

was when the announcement came out

41:04

and said it was gonna be

41:06

tomorrow. Cracked me up that they,

41:09

like, yep, we knew it, every

41:11

time the day's gonna say tomorrow.

41:13

It's gonna say tomorrow. Yep. And

41:15

then you found the article where

41:17

they called it remake. Oh my

41:19

god, yes, okay. Shout out to

41:21

Fall Out for You Listeners, Friends,

41:23

everybody using the term Remakester on

41:25

Socials, actually major articles, Xbox Era,

41:27

and some places actually used Remakester

41:29

in like official reviews. Is it

41:31

traced back to you? Are you

41:33

the source of this? I'm not

41:35

saying I'm the only one who

41:37

came up with it, but we

41:39

were pushing it pretty hard. And

41:41

I think people using it and

41:43

putting it under major posts and

41:45

just all over socials. Maybe it

41:48

made a difference. I'm just I'm

41:50

proud because that's what it is.

41:52

It's the remakes there. We know

41:54

it. Oh, yeah. Even still see

41:56

people like, I don't know, is

41:58

it a remaster, but it could

42:00

be a remake. Like, guys, I

42:02

gave you the word and some

42:04

people are using it. So I

42:06

mean, it couldn't be more appropriate

42:08

because there's a lot of stuff

42:10

that's different, you know, but I

42:12

can say. That fin gleam is

42:14

still there at the bottom of

42:16

the ocean, not just over by

42:18

Enville. Oh, you found it. You

42:20

made it over there and you

42:22

dove for it. Oh, yeah. Yep.

42:25

Well, what's it? I drowned a

42:27

few times, but it's a helmet.

42:29

Oh, it's a helmet that gives

42:31

you under the boat or whatever.

42:33

It gives you water breathing and

42:35

night eye. You're a cajit. I

42:37

know, but I don't like to

42:39

have to cast the smell. Yeah,

42:41

plus, because you like fish, fin

42:43

gleam, and it's on brand. Fish.

42:45

But yeah, it's just got a

42:47

lot of good things about it.

42:49

I'm really enjoying one of seeing,

42:51

and some things were remade traditionally,

42:53

the definition of a remake. We

42:55

went over this before, Andrew, kind

42:57

of like, what the traditional definition

42:59

is, and there is people still,

43:01

they understand why but those to

43:04

call their remastert or remaster, because

43:06

it. Not only did they redo

43:08

every graphic, but they did adjust

43:10

a lot of things with fighting.

43:12

They did record a lot of

43:14

new dialogue. You know, they made

43:16

a good number of changes. Yeah.

43:18

dialogue is in there? Why do

43:20

they need extra? Because it was

43:22

a little bit limited. I mean,

43:24

you know, the joke about oblivion

43:26

has six voice actors for the

43:28

whole thing. Oh, right. Yeah. Well,

43:30

that's a teeny bit of an

43:32

exaggeration. It's not much of one.

43:34

And so they were doubling up

43:36

on dialogue for some of the

43:38

beast races, Kajit and ongoing and

43:41

stuff, like using same dialogue from

43:43

others and just modulatinging it slightly.

43:45

and the guards were previously were

43:47

pretty much all West Johnson like

43:49

100% and now there are a

43:51

couple other guard voices you must

43:53

still you know all West's stuff

43:55

isn't there so now it's only

43:57

95% right there's lots of you

43:59

know arrow to the knee type

44:01

stuff or I don't remember what

44:03

the Is my stump still there?

44:05

Is my stump still there? Your

44:07

stump is there. Yes! And I'm

44:09

using it. All right, I'm playing.

44:11

That's all there is. And there's

44:13

still, there's still an end to

44:15

say at on the north side

44:17

of the Imperial City. Like, you

44:20

go into Ail's wife, I think

44:22

it is. Ail's well. You do

44:24

a quick quest. You got a

44:26

nice place to stay free of

44:28

charge. But you join any guilt.

44:30

You got a place to stay

44:32

free for your charge. Yeah, suddenly

44:34

your character is a little bit

44:36

hairless. Oh, no, oh, that's Vicente,

44:38

he looks so different. Yeah, yeah,

44:40

there's a lot of them that

44:42

look quite a bit different, but

44:44

yeah, the emperor actually looks like

44:46

a real human being now. I

44:48

saw that, I saw that like,

44:50

there are some of the. changes

44:52

are a little hard to eat.

44:54

I mean, I'm not playing. What

44:57

can I say? But I've watched

44:59

some, of course. You know, some

45:01

of the eyes are a little

45:03

bit less realistic, their times. And

45:05

with the pictures I've seen of

45:07

the adoring fans speaking of, I'm

45:09

like, he looks a little bit

45:11

like more like Cupie doll that

45:13

he used to even. But that's

45:15

part of the fun. So, yeah.

45:17

I thought he looked like a

45:19

troll doll. It's a little bit...

45:21

Yeah a little bit creepy even

45:23

more than it used to be.

45:25

I can't wait to play some

45:27

extreme sliders with character creator, see

45:29

what? They're even more extreme monsters

45:31

I can make. Have you seen

45:34

some pictures of characters people have

45:36

been making, Andrew? No, I'm actually,

45:38

I just googled oblivion remake faces

45:40

and went onto the images tabs.

45:42

I'm just sort of looking at

45:44

what people are doing. They're comparing

45:46

a lot of the current to

45:48

the previous and... I will say

45:50

this, the potato faces do have

45:52

a certain charm to them. I

45:54

always made fun of them, of

45:56

course, because it's easy to make

45:58

fun of, but I still have...

46:00

I don't know if I like

46:02

the new redesigns anymore, honestly. Like,

46:04

sure, they look, aka, better, but...

46:06

I don't know. I do. A

46:08

lot of them look really great,

46:10

and the faces are still a

46:13

little bit creepy at times, which

46:15

is... still got that oblivion charm.

46:17

The smile is still a little

46:19

bit too big. The eyes are

46:21

still dead eyes. It's the eyes.

46:23

I'm not sure on some of

46:25

them that I've seen, but everything

46:27

else I'm loving graphically. And I

46:29

mean, the faces can't be, you

46:31

know, they can't be perfect. It's

46:33

got to have that oblivion, like,

46:35

that's a little wacky, a little

46:37

weird, you know? And the UI,

46:39

oh my gosh, the menus, the

46:41

way it's above, the way the

46:43

map is the map much. But

46:45

the old map was just tiny

46:47

in that little window. Like smaller

46:50

than a pit boy, you couldn't

46:52

even zoom in or out. You

46:54

had to like just kind of

46:56

scroll by moving the cursor, moving

46:58

the cursor over and over. And

47:00

now it's full screen like any

47:02

other game. You've got big menu

47:04

things top and bottom. There's a

47:06

lot going on. It's great. Oh,

47:08

the new trolls look neat. I

47:10

like that. I have really, really

47:12

like the menu and a lot

47:14

of the UI. Oh, you see

47:16

more on screen of time too,

47:18

so. Before looking at the list

47:20

of like items like your arm

47:22

or whatever you see like four

47:24

or five items and now you

47:26

can see like ten like it's

47:29

more. Yeah that is nice. Yep.

47:31

Sorry Ray. I know it's your

47:33

gameplay but you were wrapping with

47:35

oblivion so I thought you could

47:37

talk about it a bit. Yep.

47:39

No that totally. And that's all

47:41

I did this week. All right,

47:43

well, I'll quit looking at oblivion

47:45

faces over here. They're kind of

47:47

fun. I don't know if I

47:49

can. So I don't know, I

47:51

just find lots of fun comparison

47:53

images. There, I have seen some,

47:55

I mean, the thing is a

47:57

lot of people doing their playthroughs.

47:59

They're just making some wacky characters.

48:01

Yeah, people have fun with this

48:03

character creator it looks like. Oh,

48:06

that's hilarious. Oh my god, here's

48:08

that handsome guy from Spongebob. Someone

48:10

made. Oh, this is hilarious. All

48:12

right, you guys, go on Google

48:14

and just have fun. You have

48:16

a request in Discord right now,

48:18

Andrew, to start your feedback. No,

48:20

I refuse. Start my feedback. I

48:22

mean, your gameplay. I don't have

48:24

any. They're asking, they want an

48:26

update on Rara. Oh, okay. Rara

48:28

Rara update is I did not

48:30

play any 76 this week. There

48:32

you go. Are you kidding? You

48:34

and Rara are still stuck in...

48:36

Yeah I tried like two more

48:38

times to do that and she

48:40

like kept getting stuck so I

48:42

just quit and I got frustrated

48:45

and was looking around on I

48:47

am part of the like the

48:49

base base base game past thing

48:51

where you don't get a bunch

48:53

of games you don't get like

48:55

three games every once on it

48:57

but there's yeah 30 but yeah

48:59

it's not much the so I

49:01

was downloading a couple of games

49:03

and I stumbled upon one that

49:05

I actually had lots of fun

49:07

with this week for a few

49:09

days it's called monster sanctuary I

49:11

was gonna you, Jess, since you're

49:13

like a Pokemon Officinado, have you

49:15

heard of this game or played

49:17

this? And is it a Pokemon

49:19

ripoff? Because I don't, I have

49:22

never played the Pokemon game, so

49:24

I don't really know, but it

49:26

seems like it's probably stealing lots

49:28

of stuff from that world, I

49:30

think. I heard of it, because

49:32

I've, it's been on lists of

49:34

games coming out, non-fancy critic. There

49:36

were a lot of games starting

49:38

with Monster recently, but I have

49:40

not played it. Yeah. scrolling game?

49:42

My wife walked in and thought

49:44

I was playing Zelda 2. Like,

49:46

has that sort of side scroll

49:48

aspect to it. It looks very

49:50

similar to that. And it looks

49:52

like it's a game built for

49:54

like either very early Nintendo, Super

49:56

Nintendo, or late era NES. Like

49:58

it has those style of graphics.

50:01

and lots of side scroll jumping,

50:03

but you like have these monster

50:05

battles and you train up your

50:07

monsters and give them stats and

50:09

weapons and there's, there got Earth

50:11

and fire and wind and water.

50:13

That's incredibly Pokemon. Yeah, I assumed

50:15

it was. I can see the

50:17

Links Adventure comparison there on that.

50:19

Yeah, to Tori twice she asked

50:21

me if I was playing links.

50:23

Are you playing Zelda too? Like

50:25

no, honey. And then she asked

50:27

me again later at the weekend.

50:29

I was like, no, still not.

50:31

Oh, oh, I just looked it

50:33

up, read it, two years ago.

50:35

Monster Sanctuary is honestly better than

50:38

Pokemon. I know this sounds controversial,

50:40

but this game is unique and

50:42

underrated compared to Pokemon. Wow, people

50:44

like it. Yeah, no, I'm having

50:46

a really good time with it.

50:48

And it's actually made me want

50:50

to explore Pokemon more. So I

50:52

have my 3DS. I've been looking

50:54

up... You know, to see if

50:56

I could find some copies of

50:58

older Pokemon games or something. And

51:00

then I run into that old

51:02

chestnut, that old chestnut, trying to

51:04

find fucking old games on Nintendo.

51:06

They don't get, you don't get

51:08

used games for Nintendo, you get

51:10

fucking collectors items, right? So my

51:12

god damn. You have to take

51:14

your buddy Jerry or somebody who's

51:17

like a collector and has had

51:19

a deal on eBay that gave

51:21

you a good deal on it.

51:23

People are like, oh, you want

51:25

this used Pokemon game, $72 game,

51:27

$72. For a used Pokemon, are

51:29

you kidding me? Go fuck yourself.

51:31

On the newer stuff, some of

51:33

it, you know, you can downloadable.

51:35

But I, on the DS, that's

51:37

not going to happen. Are you

51:39

on a 3DS? 3DS, yeah, it

51:41

does have internet access. I'll have

51:43

to see if I can figure

51:45

that out. Oh, by a digital

51:47

version. I didn't even think of

51:49

that. Yes. Our gold and soul

51:51

silver. I mean, yeah. Nintendo's finally

51:54

going more and more digital. Speaking

51:56

of which, the switch two pre-orders

51:58

opened today. Sorry oh no really

52:00

I thought there were a couple

52:02

days ago everything I was looking

52:04

for was said sold out sold

52:06

out not available sold out sold

52:08

out so I was like oh

52:10

fuck I'm sorry I said yeah

52:12

it was yesterday right Thursday the

52:14

24th I forgot what day it

52:16

was a day it was a

52:18

day it was 25th was it

52:20

yes I thought it was earlier

52:22

in the week yeah I think

52:24

I missed out anyway there I

52:26

think they got snatched up in

52:28

like two seconds solely or did

52:30

you get yourself switch to son

52:33

on pre-order The pre-order yeah most

52:35

of them come out like June

52:37

or something so he says I

52:39

wish yeah, but what have you

52:41

what have you been playing so

52:43

monster sanctuary? Yeah, it's about it

52:45

and just you know a little

52:47

shelter just checking in on my

52:49

vault I started a couple months

52:51

ago now just I developed a

52:53

I call it the pale system

52:55

now where because I was looking

52:57

up What is actually worth training

52:59

for and like building teams to

53:01

go out adventuring and it turns

53:03

out the the special attributes do

53:05

different things whether you're in the

53:07

vault or out of the vault

53:10

and a lot of the things

53:12

That you trained for that you

53:14

think are important while you're in

53:16

the vault namely strength perception and

53:18

agility for your you know your

53:20

food your water and your power

53:22

those things aren't nearly as important

53:24

outside of the vault so you

53:26

have to like it's the Actually,

53:28

the perception and agility still are,

53:30

but like you would think strength

53:32

would, it's like inside the vault,

53:34

you get like a defense buff

53:36

or something or your weapon does

53:38

more damage or something. Hey, cat,

53:40

knock it off. He's knocking things

53:42

off the table over there with

53:44

a little jerk. But, so I

53:47

was just looking up. because I

53:49

was like just wondering how to

53:51

be more efficient and the training

53:53

and what actually needs to happen

53:55

and I wanted to build up

53:57

a few fun adventuring teams and

53:59

it turns out that P-A-L-E, it's

54:01

like I spelled out the word

54:03

pale for some so I'm gonna

54:05

have my pale crew, all these

54:07

people with pasty white skin running

54:09

around who trained in perception because

54:11

that gives you, it slows down

54:13

your meter for. What is that

54:15

called? That meter that, it's like

54:17

your crits or whatever. You know

54:19

what I mean? You have to,

54:21

the meter like, goes in and

54:23

out, in and out, and you

54:26

have to stop it? I don't

54:28

even know what they call that.

54:30

But when you're out in adventures,

54:32

you have to do that that

54:34

crit damage thing. And the agility

54:36

makes you a tack, evidently gives

54:38

you more. chance at criticals to

54:40

happen and endurance gives you more

54:42

hit points evidently the strength intelligence

54:44

and charisma don't do anything when

54:46

you're out and about which I

54:48

was kind of puzzled by but

54:50

okay that's not completely true because

54:52

when you're out and about you

54:54

don't want to be sick yeah

54:56

exactly but that's okay so there's

54:58

a difference between out and about

55:00

and sending on a quest because

55:03

you're just saying them out to

55:05

explore Having, what was it, charisma

55:07

is actually good because you run

55:09

into more people or you get

55:11

more beneficial interactions with random interactions

55:13

out in the way saying, you

55:15

know, there's like that weird log

55:17

that just says, oh look, a

55:19

radroach, I better run the other

55:21

way, or like, oh yeah, I

55:23

found water, and yay, oh look,

55:25

there's a mean dog over there,

55:27

better avoid him. It's just this

55:29

log of like an inner monologue

55:31

of your characters to running around

55:33

which I've always thought was really

55:35

funny But yeah, so that's that's

55:37

pretty much what I'm getting into

55:39

just messing around with this setting

55:42

up my pale crew learning the

55:44

the really itty bitty details which

55:46

specials affect what attributes inside and

55:48

outside of the vault and outside

55:50

doing quests versus outside just normal

55:52

Wondering randomly so I've been digging

55:54

into that a little bit, but

55:56

mainly it was mainly monster sanctuary

55:58

and I just kind of took

56:00

more of a break and sat

56:02

back this week. I'm trying not

56:04

to with my recent like a

56:06

carpal tunnel diagnosis. I'm not I

56:08

was just trying to take it

56:10

a little easier this week and

56:12

you know what I wore this

56:14

this brace all week and if

56:16

anything I feel worse I played

56:19

for it really I've played fewer

56:21

games and I wore this brace

56:23

all week and if anything I'm

56:25

more sore it's weird. Does it

56:27

get more sore at work or

56:29

when gaming or any time of

56:31

day in particular? It seems to

56:33

be positional by how I my

56:35

body is sitting my arm will

56:37

either go numb or be painful

56:39

or something. Does it like evidently

56:41

I'm pinching a nerve somewhere. Well

56:43

at least Rara is waiting for

56:45

a good cause. Well, fuck Rara

56:47

off to get through the god

56:49

damn venting system. Maybe we could

56:51

get through this. Tell her to

56:53

hurry up. I was just like

56:55

standing sitting there waiting on her

56:58

like her. Am I supposed to

57:00

be doing something? I thought she

57:02

was supposed to go through the

57:04

vent and open the door from

57:06

the other side. She just sitting

57:08

there in the vent not doing

57:10

anything. Let go. Yeah, sometimes you

57:12

gotta do certain things to trigger,

57:14

but I mean, can we jump

57:16

in with you and help you

57:18

do it? I don't even remember.

57:20

Probably you can join leader, I

57:22

bet it's one of those instances,

57:24

I bet. That would be cool.

57:26

Yeah, we do need to come

57:28

up with something to do. So

57:30

everybody can stand around and wait

57:32

for Rara. So we can, at

57:35

least you have a company. We

57:37

can root her on. Oh, right.

57:39

Yeah, so that's my gameplay. Didn't

57:41

get into a whole lot this

57:43

week, but had fun with Monster

57:45

Sanctuary of people. If you're just

57:47

looking for a fun little game,

57:49

the tink around with for a

57:51

few hours, it really is. I

57:53

don't know if it'll be something

57:55

I play for a long time

57:57

and get very involved in it,

57:59

but it seems like if I

58:01

wanted to, it could be a

58:03

pretty good, a long game. to

58:05

play. But I recommend it if

58:07

you're into those sort of retro

58:09

fantasy sort of fighting games stats

58:11

etc. Pokemon oriented but still lots

58:14

of fantasy stuff involved with it

58:16

too. All right let's pull up

58:18

my show note see what we

58:20

got. Oh oh you guys I

58:22

think it is game time. I'm

58:24

very intrigued what do we got?

58:26

That it is. So we've got

58:28

a couple games coming up. I

58:30

just want to quickly, since we

58:32

haven't had a whole lot of

58:34

fallout besides me doing my weeklies,

58:36

I forget to do a quick

58:38

scoreboard check in with the people

58:40

listening right now. So I am

58:42

at rank 63 on the scoreboard.

58:44

I'm getting there. I did some

58:46

weeklies this week. I was in

58:48

mid 50s last. I'm getting there.

58:51

Angel is at rank 79. So

58:53

she is ahead of me by

58:55

a good ways. Looks like Lee.

58:57

Solior is 100 on PlayStation and

58:59

105 on Xbox. Rando is 105

59:01

on Xbox, so these guys are,

59:03

they're done. They're done. They're coasting.

59:05

Well, no, you got to get

59:07

the extra stuff now to level

59:09

150. We were talking about that.

59:11

Rando was actually playing Starfield, which,

59:13

excellent first time. Other people, China,

59:15

the games. Do you really need,

59:17

oh, Strata Blaster is at 128.

59:19

But the question is, do you

59:21

really need to do the bonus

59:23

levels? Like, do you need that

59:25

extra? Like, I really feel like

59:27

the first bonus at 100 is

59:30

all you need. The repeatables at

59:32

150. I mean, there are atoms

59:34

on there. That's cool. But I

59:36

don't care. It's a lot of

59:38

work. Getting 50 more levels just

59:40

you'll get like... You're getting like

59:42

what, rataway and lunchboxes. Lunchboxes are

59:44

great. I do love lunchboxes. Scrap

59:46

hits, stuff like that. Scrap hits.

59:48

Score boosters? You getting any of

59:50

those because I like score boosters?

59:52

You don't need score boosters when

59:54

you're already at 150 Andrew? Yeah,

59:56

but for next season they don't

59:58

roll over or anything like that.

1:00:00

Nope. They don't score boosters to

1:00:02

fuck that. Yeah, oh you get

1:00:04

hurt card packs. That's a good

1:00:07

point. Yeah, I mean, but at

1:00:09

a 150, are you needing lots

1:00:11

of perk card packs? You probably

1:00:13

have most of the stuff you

1:00:15

want by now, right? Or a

1:00:17

150, you still collect and you're

1:00:19

building your character. Well, remember, you

1:00:21

can scrap them for those points,

1:00:23

right? Yeah. Scrap them for those

1:00:25

points, right? Right. Okay. Yeah, for

1:00:27

alt, too. That makes sense. So

1:00:29

start a buster mentioning, you can

1:00:31

claim them for alt. Which is

1:00:33

smart, because whatever character, because whatever

1:00:35

character you have you have you

1:00:37

have you have, because you have,

1:00:39

because whatever character you have, Same

1:00:41

with the scrap kids or make

1:00:43

sure you have the character active

1:00:46

that you want to give them

1:00:48

to when you redeem something. Oh,

1:00:50

right. Yeah, smart. That's wicket smart.

1:00:52

Well, anyway, that is our check-in.

1:00:54

That's why we're probably halfway through

1:00:56

the season. I expect next season

1:00:58

to happen early June, maybe mid-June,

1:01:00

you know, but we've got all

1:01:02

of May ahead of us. And

1:01:04

I just forgot to do a

1:01:06

quick check-in with people. Get a

1:01:08

little, get a little fallout action

1:01:10

happening happening happening. for the great

1:01:12

new game show Mountain Dew or

1:01:14

Mountain Don't. So I just kind

1:01:16

of come up with this. I

1:01:18

don't have, I don't have a

1:01:20

good feeling trick and Mountain Dew.

1:01:23

So I just kind of come

1:01:25

up with this. I don't have,

1:01:27

I don't have a good epic

1:01:29

voice program for this. I'm sorry,

1:01:31

I just got the intercom. So

1:01:33

I want to then to do

1:01:35

that. Okay, Mountain Dew or Mountain

1:01:37

Don. Here are the rules. And

1:01:39

I just made up the game

1:01:41

before the game before the show,

1:01:43

but I'm pretty excited about this

1:01:45

one. into the world of soda.

1:01:47

There is of course always the

1:01:49

original, the official flavor, the one

1:01:51

you want. Like in Fallout, you've

1:01:53

got VIM, okay? But then you've

1:01:55

got these knockoff brands like Nukkola.

1:01:57

No. But you've got real brands

1:02:00

and you've got fake ones. So

1:02:02

you know, for Dr. Pepper, you've

1:02:04

got Mr. Pib. Okay, you've got

1:02:06

things like that. So what I'm

1:02:08

gonna do, Mountain Dew is not,

1:02:10

doesn't have as many varieties as

1:02:12

Dr. is a pretty popular soda

1:02:14

to copy. Happens to me my

1:02:16

favorite, at least Diet Mountain Dew.

1:02:18

And there are some pretty creative

1:02:20

naming conventions out there for re-

1:02:22

Mountain Dew, knockoff flavors. But, but

1:02:24

in this challenge I have added

1:02:26

some fake knockoff Mountain Dew flavors

1:02:28

too. So we are going to

1:02:30

go, do you want to go

1:02:32

back and forth and you need

1:02:34

to tell me if the flavor

1:02:36

I give you is a real

1:02:39

Mountain Dew or fake Mountain Don't?

1:02:41

You got it? You got the

1:02:43

idea of this right here? I

1:02:45

believe so. Okay. I just got

1:02:47

to say, should I let you

1:02:49

guys buzz in? Now I think

1:02:51

bounce back and forth a word,

1:02:53

right? Okay, yeah, we'll bounce back

1:02:55

and forth. That makes sense. So

1:02:57

we're going to start with Ray.

1:02:59

Ray? Green lightning. Real or fake?

1:03:01

Fake. Sorry. Green lightning is a

1:03:03

real flavor. By what company? I

1:03:05

don't have all that information front

1:03:07

of me. I put the game

1:03:09

together real quick. I know most

1:03:11

of these, but I do not

1:03:13

know all of them. Do you

1:03:16

remember the, wait, I'm not gonna

1:03:18

say, can I, I might, I

1:03:20

might burn one of your, yeah,

1:03:22

never mind. No, go on, go

1:03:24

on. No, it might be, it

1:03:26

might be a clue later, so

1:03:28

I don't want to burn it,

1:03:30

if it is. Okay, well, next

1:03:32

up, Andrew, Andrew, Andrew, we are

1:03:34

looking at voltage rush. Real or

1:03:36

fake, voltage rush. Man, that sounds

1:03:38

so extreme. Ugh, God, it just

1:03:40

makes me wanna, you know, shred

1:03:42

something. That is the sign of

1:03:44

a real Mountain Dew flavor, potentially.

1:03:46

A curl or a rail, perhaps?

1:03:48

Let's see. What was it, voltage?

1:03:50

What voltage rush? Now that sounds

1:03:52

too, yeah, that sounds too good,

1:03:55

but I don't want to pull

1:03:57

a ray and go fake and

1:03:59

have it be real. Yeah, let's

1:04:01

call that one real. We'll call

1:04:03

it real. We're going real? You

1:04:05

are? wrong. That was a Jessica

1:04:07

Plant. She's good at making up

1:04:09

extreme names. Mountain Dew voltage is

1:04:11

a real flavor. Mountain Dew voltage,

1:04:13

but voltage rush is fake. Okay,

1:04:15

moving on back to Ray. Ray,

1:04:17

next up on the list, we

1:04:19

have Moon mist. Moon mist. Is

1:04:21

that real or fake? That's fake.

1:04:24

I'm sorry Moon Miss is the

1:04:27

popular flavor of Mountain Dew by

1:04:29

fig. You got it. I like

1:04:31

that one. You seem that one.

1:04:33

I like Moon Miss too. I

1:04:35

mean it's cheap, but it comes

1:04:37

that round bottle. Yeah, Moon Miss

1:04:39

is great. Okay, back to you

1:04:41

Andrew, back to you Andrew. And

1:04:44

you're ready? Yeah, girl, let's go.

1:04:46

Monsoon Dew. Monsoon Dew. Real or

1:04:48

fake? That's gotta be fake. Come

1:04:50

on. What?

1:04:52

Popular in India, monsoon dew

1:04:54

is a real flavor. That's

1:04:56

hilarious. Another one I don't

1:04:58

have on here is Tums

1:05:00

dew. Tums dew is a

1:05:02

real flavor. Do my belly.

1:05:04

It sounds like an acid,

1:05:06

but also popular in India.

1:05:08

Okay. Have you got any

1:05:10

right yet? Have they got

1:05:12

any right? I don't think

1:05:14

we have. We're terrible. We're

1:05:16

good at getting them wrong.

1:05:18

Let's keep going. Ray, Ray,

1:05:20

back to you, back to

1:05:22

you. We're going with solar

1:05:24

blast. Solar Blast, real or

1:05:26

fake? I almost have to

1:05:28

keep up with the fake

1:05:30

just so. Law of averages?

1:05:32

Yeah. I gotta eventually get

1:05:34

one right, fake. Oh, sorry,

1:05:36

no. You are correct. Oh,

1:05:38

me of little faith. Solar

1:05:40

Blast, I made that puppy

1:05:42

up. I mean, you know,

1:05:44

you got the blast. The

1:05:46

blast is from Baja blast,

1:05:48

but the solar was just

1:05:50

an homage to... Starfield and

1:05:52

everything. Okay, good. We've got Ray

1:05:55

on the board now at

1:05:57

one point. Excellent Ray. Okay,

1:05:59

Andrew, back to you. Ready?

1:06:01

in topical names. Vault Soda.

1:06:03

Vault Soda. That's gotta be

1:06:05

fake, come on. Motherfucker! I'm

1:06:07

sorry Andrew. Vault was a

1:06:09

popular brand made by none

1:06:11

other than the Coca-Cola company. Vault?

1:06:13

Yeah, from about 2004 to

1:06:15

2012. They had vault. It

1:06:17

was based on some of

1:06:19

the flavor profile from Search.

1:06:21

They discontinued in 2003. It

1:06:23

came up with vault for...

1:06:25

Gosh, I like 70 years.

1:06:27

And it was labeled as

1:06:29

an energy drink with a citrus

1:06:32

rush. Oh gosh, so it's

1:06:34

still Ray on the board

1:06:36

with one Andrew with none,

1:06:38

but we'll get there. I've

1:06:40

got four left for you

1:06:42

guys. Okay, we're only doing

1:06:44

I think 10 total. I

1:06:46

have, so see how you do.

1:06:48

Mountain Dew or Mountain Don't

1:06:50

Ray. Next up is urge.

1:06:52

Is Urge a real Mountain

1:06:54

Dew knockoff or a fake

1:06:56

one? Fake. I'm so sorry

1:06:58

Ray. No, urge was actually

1:07:00

the progenitor to the better

1:07:02

known surge. Urge was first

1:07:04

launched by Coca-Cola in Norway and

1:07:07

Norwegian countries where it was

1:07:09

so popular they brought the

1:07:11

US and relabeled it as

1:07:13

surge. So, apology. Sorry Ray,

1:07:15

good try. Dumbest game ever.

1:07:17

Thank you guys for playing.

1:07:19

I love it. Okay. Next

1:07:21

up Andrew. Mountain Dew or

1:07:23

Mountain Don't. Thunder Missed. Oh, that's

1:07:25

got to be a real

1:07:27

fake one. You know, a

1:07:29

real, a real knockoff. That's

1:07:31

got to be real. Real

1:07:33

fake? Oh, oh, yes. A

1:07:35

real knockoff. Yes, yes, that's

1:07:37

a fantastic answer. You're so

1:07:39

wrong. So wrong. Thunder missed

1:07:41

I made up. Oh man, Mountain

1:07:44

Thunder, very popular. I believe

1:07:46

they sell it at Walmart,

1:07:48

I think, unless that's Mountain

1:07:50

Lightning. Mountain Lightning is Walmart.

1:07:52

Mountain Thunder, oh no, I

1:07:54

know what it is, Doctor

1:07:56

Thunder is the Doctor Thunder.

1:07:58

Doctor Thunder is the Doctor Pepper,

1:08:00

right? I got a little

1:08:02

trick myself. Okay, Ray, back

1:08:04

to you. Mighty Citrus Boost.

1:08:06

Mighty. I'm so sorry. Mighty

1:08:08

Citrus Boost is a real

1:08:10

soda. Mighty Citrus Boost is

1:08:12

real. Let me look that

1:08:14

one up. Where's that one

1:08:16

again? It's, yeah, it's by a

1:08:19

company called Mighty Rain. And

1:08:21

by the way I found

1:08:23

all these on the Soda

1:08:25

Lovers wiki. If you ever

1:08:27

wondered is there a wiki

1:08:29

for everything? The answer is

1:08:31

yes. Yes there is. And

1:08:33

RC Cola came up with

1:08:35

this one. Mighty Citrus Boost. Royal

1:08:37

Crown Cola. And finally Andrew

1:08:39

you've got the last one.

1:08:41

Is this real or is

1:08:43

it fake? Lightning rush. Andrew

1:08:45

on the board, that was

1:08:47

too strong, going out strong.

1:08:49

That was too good, right?

1:08:51

That was too like a true

1:08:54

real, had to be fake.

1:08:56

Too extreme. So coming together

1:08:58

with one point, we've got

1:09:00

Ray, and in the other

1:09:02

corner, with one point, we've

1:09:04

got Andrew. Nice. We're terrible.

1:09:06

Good job. Oh, fantastic. Exactly.

1:09:08

Good job y'all. So I

1:09:10

just posted it in the discord,

1:09:12

Jess. You can still get

1:09:14

a bottle of vault if

1:09:16

you want. Wow, you looked

1:09:18

it up? On eBay. Yeah,

1:09:20

do you recognize that label

1:09:22

now that you see it?

1:09:24

Yeah, I do. On eBay,

1:09:26

it's only $270 for carbonary

1:09:28

and no longer carbonated, but yet

1:09:31

still sealed a two-liter bottle

1:09:33

vault. Only $270. What a

1:09:35

steel? For no longer carbonated

1:09:37

old soda. That

1:09:41

was great. Lisa's the crowd goes

1:09:44

wild. I had to give him

1:09:46

that. Thank you Lee That was

1:09:48

a great game. Just thank you

1:09:51

for bringing that Did you want

1:09:53

to roll right into some scream?

1:09:55

Do you want to do a

1:09:58

scream at your phone now? You

1:10:00

know what? Let's do it. So

1:10:03

that last one was not technically

1:10:05

fallout themed. Although I drink a

1:10:07

lot of Mountain Dew while playing

1:10:10

fallout, so, and I think plenty

1:10:12

of other gamers do too. Yeah,

1:10:14

and we get Dorino's, we get

1:10:17

Dorino crumbs all over our bellies,

1:10:19

and we've got Cheeto fingers all

1:10:21

over the controllers, right? All the

1:10:24

stereotypes? You know, don't eat and

1:10:26

touch your controller without licking your

1:10:29

fingers for it. I mean, don't

1:10:31

eat! Don't eat and touch your

1:10:33

controller without licking your fingers. I

1:10:36

mean, don't eat anything rubbery on

1:10:38

the control. You eat the fucking

1:10:40

thumb pads or the shoulder button,

1:10:43

yeah, ish. T. They ran my

1:10:45

right. All right. Yeah. So I

1:10:48

don't care. Just we do a

1:10:50

scream if you want to roll

1:10:52

right? Yeah. Let's do. Let's do

1:10:55

a scream at your phone list.

1:10:57

Yeah. Okay, chat. We haven't done

1:10:59

a scream at your phone in

1:11:02

a while. And this is a

1:11:04

very fallout themed. In fact, I

1:11:07

quickly because I put this together

1:11:09

right before the show I looked

1:11:11

at old screamless. And this is

1:11:14

one of the first like 10

1:11:16

15. We did. Specifically. We're going

1:11:18

to go back and forth. Obviously

1:11:21

you guys get trying to think

1:11:23

about it like always. I know

1:11:26

it's been a while to be

1:11:28

played and I'm going to start

1:11:30

with Andrew this time. So there

1:11:33

are I believe 20 bobble heads.

1:11:35

And yeah, in 76. Going to

1:11:37

start with you Andrew. All right.

1:11:40

We'll go with strength. Strength is

1:11:42

correct and the first one on

1:11:45

my list. How did you know?

1:11:47

I assume you went by some

1:11:49

awesome word. We use a lot.

1:11:52

Ray luck is correct if you

1:11:54

got to start with the specials

1:11:56

that would make a lot of

1:11:59

sense probably yeah Andrew do endurance

1:12:01

did you just say endurance yes

1:12:04

I will go with endurance perfectly

1:12:06

that is correct Ray so that

1:12:08

means I would need to go

1:12:11

with intelligence Very intelligent choice. Good

1:12:13

one, Ray. No need to rush.

1:12:15

Andrew, back to you. Uh, there

1:12:18

will go charisma yet? No, we

1:12:20

haven't, but now we have. Beautiful

1:12:22

one. Perception. And perception, both of

1:12:25

you at three so far, six

1:12:27

down, you're doing great. Andrew, back

1:12:30

to you. I don't think we

1:12:32

did agility yet. I think that

1:12:34

wraps up the specials with agility,

1:12:37

right? Yeah, perfect. You did. That

1:12:39

is all the specials. Seven stats?

1:12:41

All right, Ray. We can do

1:12:44

this. We've got 13. Right, okay.

1:12:46

What you got, Ray? A sneak.

1:12:49

I was going to say fortune

1:12:51

finder, but it's not called fortune

1:12:53

finder. What is that? What is

1:12:56

the bobblehead called? Is it called

1:12:58

like caps or something? No cap.

1:13:00

You got that one right. Good

1:13:03

job Andrew. Is it caps? Is

1:13:05

that right? Okay. Maley. Maley is

1:13:08

correct. Good job Ray. You guys

1:13:10

are getting through this. You are

1:13:12

well over halfway now? I mean,

1:13:15

sorry, you've just passed halfway now?

1:13:17

Okay, let's see there's big guns.

1:13:19

Oh, yeah, sorry. I thought you

1:13:22

were thinking out loud. Big guns

1:13:24

is correct. You said, there's big

1:13:27

guns. I thought you were going

1:13:29

to start listing a bunch. No,

1:13:31

I'm not going to burn all

1:13:34

array's answers, too. Big guns is

1:13:36

correct. Stop in the dark. Small

1:13:38

guns. Very good. Is there a

1:13:41

small guns in 76? Oh. There

1:13:43

is. I'm just teasing you. Good

1:13:46

job, Ray. OK. Back to you

1:13:48

Andrew. There's probably, I don't remember

1:13:50

specifically, but there's probably an energy

1:13:53

weapons one. That is correct. Getting

1:13:55

random noises for being correct. There

1:13:57

you go. Good job Andrew. Okay,

1:14:00

back to you Ray. Unarmed. Unarmed

1:14:02

is all. So, correct. Perfect. Okay,

1:14:05

we are doing great here, you

1:14:07

guys. We're at seven points. Each,

1:14:09

that means 14 down, only six

1:14:12

to go. It's funny, I'm clicking

1:14:14

the soundboard, I'm marking on the

1:14:16

machine, and I'm writing down your

1:14:19

score, too. So, so I'm a

1:14:21

little slow. Host and scorekeeper. Next

1:14:23

up, Andrew, what if you got?

1:14:26

means what I want it to

1:14:28

mean. The one where it, let's

1:14:31

say you charge like fusion cores,

1:14:33

but it doesn't, oh repair, is

1:14:35

repair on there? Good one and

1:14:38

repair is on the list. That

1:14:40

does not, yeah, that does not

1:14:42

mean what you think it means.

1:14:45

Incadceivable, you can use in the

1:14:47

fourth. I don't think it means

1:14:50

what you think it means. No.

1:14:52

However in previous games it might

1:14:54

have. You know, that's what's kind

1:14:57

of funny there. Yes, yes, yes.

1:14:59

Yep, but in 76 it is

1:15:01

not me think it is. Okay,

1:15:04

back to you, Ray. We've got

1:15:06

one, two, three, four, five left.

1:15:09

Uh, uh, locksmith. Oh, good one.

1:15:11

Technically lock picking, but that is

1:15:13

more than good enough. Good one.

1:15:16

Excellent. So I'll do the counterpart.

1:15:18

Hacker. Hacker. Hacking? No. Is there

1:15:20

one? Is that science? Is that

1:15:23

science? So let me just say

1:15:25

you did say the correct word.

1:15:28

It's science makes you a better

1:15:30

hacker, right? Correct. Correct. Good job.

1:15:32

Okay. Awesome. Only how many to

1:15:35

go, three to go? I'm running

1:15:37

out here, Ray. I've only got,

1:15:39

I think, one more on my

1:15:42

list. What do you got, Ray?

1:15:44

You're getting a little harder for

1:15:47

sure. Well, what are all the

1:15:49

skills? Did we do explosives? Nope,

1:15:51

you got it right. Explosives, good

1:15:54

job. That's a good one. All

1:15:56

right, then we'll get all the

1:15:58

skills yet. There's more skills. What

1:16:01

about... There are two left, one

1:16:03

of them is skill-based and one

1:16:06

of them is... Barter, barter. Did

1:16:08

we say barter? Is there a

1:16:10

barter one in 76? Oh, are

1:16:13

you kidding me? God... This is

1:16:15

scream. Getting wrong, isn't it? Getting

1:16:17

wrong, isn't it silly out? You're

1:16:20

allowed to think for a little

1:16:22

bit. I mean, I haven't alternate

1:16:24

one, but I thought if I've

1:16:27

said the wrong one, that sucks.

1:16:29

But I've said the wrong one

1:16:32

more on my list, that sucks.

1:16:34

Leader is correct. Okay, good job

1:16:36

Andrew. You're still in the game.

1:16:39

I don't think we play that

1:16:41

you're out when if you say

1:16:43

the wrong thing I mean unless

1:16:46

you're completely confident final answer usually

1:16:48

we just let you think for

1:16:51

a little bit unless you're out.

1:16:53

Okay, and Ray can you get

1:16:55

the very final one? One left

1:16:58

for a perfect screamless if you

1:17:00

get it. No pressure So do

1:17:02

we do big guns, little guns,

1:17:05

explosives, energy weapons, melee? Is there

1:17:07

one-handed, two-handed? They didn't do that,

1:17:10

because there's not that sort of

1:17:12

thing, is there? Yes there is.

1:17:14

Is there one-handed, two-handed? They wouldn't

1:17:17

do that. It's just melee, right?

1:17:19

Hmm. What could it be? It

1:17:21

is skill-one of sorts. All right,

1:17:24

so sneak. Barter, no barter. Did

1:17:26

we do medicine? There you go.

1:17:29

Good job. Final one, Ray with

1:17:31

the finish. Add a boy. You

1:17:33

guys finished really strong. Mike drop.

1:17:36

That was great. Good one. That

1:17:38

was also fun. Super duper fun

1:17:40

version of game time this week.

1:17:43

Thanks Jess. It was game time.

1:17:45

But now we get to... Switch

1:17:48

direction just a little bit and

1:17:50

roll into our iguana bits for

1:17:52

the week. Looks like we've got

1:17:55

plenty of good news stuff, little

1:17:57

topics popping up. Still lots of

1:17:59

stuff happening in the fallout universe.

1:18:02

all the time, especially since we

1:18:04

have like the new TV show

1:18:07

out and all that. One thing

1:18:09

I did want to complain about

1:18:11

with the new, I know everyone's

1:18:14

excited about the remakester. At

1:18:16

the same time I still feel like

1:18:18

where I okay this is just better

1:18:20

old man Andrew over here who bought

1:18:22

14 versions of Skyrim and I'm just

1:18:25

thinking this is just yet another way

1:18:27

for them to not have to be

1:18:29

putting out Skyrim too. If they're working

1:18:31

out of this shit, they're just not

1:18:33

doing the shit we want them to

1:18:35

be. Like, come on, man, put out

1:18:38

Fuckin' Skyram 2, put out Fallout 5,

1:18:40

like giving me 12 versions of the

1:18:42

same god damn games, please. No, this

1:18:44

is Skyram 2. Skyram 2 colon Oblivion

1:18:46

3. And do you know what's awesome?

1:18:48

You can get everybody's favorite beloved Starfield

1:18:50

character, the adoring fan in it, too.

1:18:53

It is a little incestuous when you

1:18:55

stop and make me bite it that

1:18:57

way, but you know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

1:18:59

It's, I mean, keep in mind, it

1:19:01

was really great seeing the reveal for

1:19:03

this. One of the things about the

1:19:05

remakester that I thought was cool is

1:19:08

that a lot of the team that

1:19:10

worked on Oblivion are still at the

1:19:12

studio. So they were able to come

1:19:14

back and consult on it, work on

1:19:16

it, work on it. When they did

1:19:18

the reveal stream, you heard some people

1:19:20

who worked on the people who worked

1:19:23

on the original and there, and there

1:19:25

were some people who worked on the

1:19:27

work on the original, and there, and

1:19:29

there was a team at Bethesda, but

1:19:31

worked on Bethesda Game Studios, but those

1:19:33

game studios, the game studios, the game

1:19:36

studios, the game studios, the game studios,

1:19:38

the game studios, the game studios, the

1:19:40

game studios, the game studios, the, the,

1:19:42

the, the, the game studios, the, the,

1:19:44

the, the, the, the, the, the, the,

1:19:46

the, and then the team at virtuous

1:19:48

doing most the work on the recruiting

1:19:51

of objects and all the visuals and

1:19:53

that virtuous from what you know we

1:19:55

can tell did the bulk of the

1:19:57

work and some of the people at

1:19:59

Bethesda helped direct it produce it make

1:20:01

some tweaks on the engine and stuff

1:20:03

like that yeah but they were involved

1:20:06

but of course it's not taking them

1:20:08

away from Elder Scroll 6 they've got

1:20:10

a team on Starfield it's not taking

1:20:12

them away from Elder Scroll 6 we've

1:20:14

got a team focused on Starfield support

1:20:16

and the next expansion We've got probably

1:20:18

other secret products happening that we don't

1:20:21

know about. None of us know about.

1:20:23

We've got Elders Girl 6 working hard

1:20:25

and then, you know, the remakes. was

1:20:27

a fun thing. But Jonah Lobe had

1:20:29

a cute little clip. Oh, what he

1:20:31

said about it. He was saying how

1:20:34

much he enjoyed that that the game

1:20:36

was out and that he had begged

1:20:38

to get an asset into the game

1:20:40

because he started, I guess, like, right

1:20:42

after oblivion. And so when they did

1:20:44

the remake, he was like. I'll just

1:20:46

let me do a spoon. I don't

1:20:49

care. And Todd said no. No, but

1:20:51

he did get he does have stuff

1:20:53

and there he makes there. He has

1:20:55

a bunch because he got to work

1:20:57

a little bit. He was in he

1:20:59

worked on Shivering Isles, right? He did

1:21:01

a lot of the art Shivering Isles.

1:21:04

And I think he actually made the

1:21:06

the gate to the Big Shiegoros. Yeah,

1:21:08

which is awesome. And I don't know

1:21:10

if you didn't think for Night to

1:21:12

the Nine. That was that was a

1:21:14

little bit of different deal. But Shivering

1:21:17

Isles was so big. I'm sure they

1:21:19

all got thrown on that, but that's

1:21:21

really cool. The journal looked at that.

1:21:23

Yeah, yeah, I think he might have

1:21:25

started like the week before they released

1:21:27

the game originally. So, but no, they

1:21:29

wouldn't, they wouldn't let him put an

1:21:32

asset in. Gotta be hard when I

1:21:34

see your name and credits. You know,

1:21:36

no, you work here, but no, you

1:21:38

didn't work on the game yet, yet.

1:21:40

He, of course, he would have been

1:21:42

in the Game of the Game of

1:21:44

the Year edition. And the year edition.

1:21:47

Some of the current community managers, I

1:21:49

mean there were like I said people

1:21:51

episodes to game studios working on this

1:21:53

as well. So that's some of the

1:21:55

current community managers and everyone in there

1:21:57

and I mean a group effort but

1:21:59

Andrew you just talked about focusing on

1:22:02

Elder Scroll 6 and I assure you

1:22:04

it's not pulling them away from that.

1:22:06

Well and also the voice of the

1:22:08

annoying fan. Yeah well that the speaking

1:22:10

of annoying fan it also brings up

1:22:12

jerks like me who are like this

1:22:15

whole like It's just a frustrating thing

1:22:17

where George Lucas takes his beloved film

1:22:19

Star Wars and puts a bunch of

1:22:21

crap in it just because he can.

1:22:23

you know, just, oh look, I've got

1:22:25

new toys, so therefore I'm gonna re-release

1:22:27

my movie and put a bunch of

1:22:30

shit in here that wasn't really important,

1:22:32

it doesn't really matter. And so I'm

1:22:34

gonna think that there, not immediately, but

1:22:36

there will be an OG oblivion band

1:22:38

of people who are like, pff. Fuck

1:22:40

the remake. That's that's weak sauce. That's

1:22:42

so stupid. Look at all the crap.

1:22:45

Look at how shiny it is. Where's

1:22:47

my potato faces? Fuck that. You know

1:22:49

what I mean? Like there's gonna be

1:22:51

this purest who are like, oh no,

1:22:53

the O.G. Oblivion is way better this.

1:22:55

And that's that's cool. But it's just

1:22:57

gonna be like the Star Wars culture,

1:23:00

which is like split people between blob,

1:23:02

this, this this trilogy. further down the

1:23:04

iguanabits, but let's start with it. So

1:23:06

one thing that's great about the remakes

1:23:08

to release is that I think they

1:23:10

threaded that needle well. I think that

1:23:13

they stuck with a lot of stuff

1:23:15

to make the purists happy. Obviously not

1:23:17

the complete purists, but it has that

1:23:19

remaster flavor where they stuck with that

1:23:21

very well for those people. And yeah,

1:23:23

there will be people who objected, of

1:23:25

course, and there will be plenty people

1:23:28

who were stated more. I mean, oblivion

1:23:30

had two... Two of the biggest complaints

1:23:32

around oblivion. Number one was level and

1:23:34

loop scaling. Whereas as you level, the

1:23:36

enemy is level too quickly with you,

1:23:38

and they're not level locked or level

1:23:40

capped. And even more than that, the

1:23:43

loot scaling, in that the loot that's

1:23:45

there that they wear, that they use,

1:23:47

you get bandits wearing elbid armor, then

1:23:49

glass armor, you get bandits and obsidian,

1:23:51

daydric even, potentially, and there are creatures.

1:23:53

that won't ever appear if you level

1:23:55

up too high. So I got low

1:23:58

levels, certain creatures spawn, and next band,

1:24:00

other creatures spawn, and expand other creatures

1:24:02

spawn. So that was complaint number one.

1:24:04

Level and loot scaling was the biggest

1:24:06

complaint. And the second biggest complaint was

1:24:08

the leveling system. As in, if you

1:24:11

put your major skills that you really

1:24:13

wanted, you would level too fast. If

1:24:15

all your major skills were skills to

1:24:17

use most, you would level too fast.

1:24:19

And then the way that when you

1:24:21

actually hit that level point, the way

1:24:23

that you leveled up was whatever skills

1:24:26

you got all the most points in,

1:24:28

you'd get a multiplier for your stats.

1:24:30

Because unlike Skyram, oblivion still had stats,

1:24:32

your strength and your endurance and all

1:24:34

that classic stuff. So that they fixed.

1:24:36

They fixed the second part. Okay, they

1:24:38

fixed it. So now your major skills,

1:24:41

your minor skills, they all contributed to

1:24:43

leveling up. And when you level up,

1:24:45

you get, is it 11 points or

1:24:47

12 points, Ray? You've probably already leveled

1:24:49

it. I get 14. Okay, and that's

1:24:51

maybe based on the way you're set

1:24:54

up with your character. But you can

1:24:56

set number of points to put into

1:24:58

your attributes, regardless of what skills you

1:25:00

level up to get to the level

1:25:02

up point. So that is a huge

1:25:04

benefit there. That will keep people from

1:25:06

getting locked, because what used to happen?

1:25:09

Well, the people would level too quickly,

1:25:11

too quickly, against you and they're getting

1:25:13

better at combat. So you'd be level

1:25:15

20 and you're great at like sneaking

1:25:17

and making a little magic, but you

1:25:19

didn't have anything in the stuff to

1:25:21

help you fight and defend yourself. And

1:25:24

so people get very, very stuck. So

1:25:26

this fixed that problem. But the reason

1:25:28

why the problem was because of the

1:25:30

enemy level scaling and loop scaling. They

1:25:32

didn't fix that. So there's part of

1:25:34

me thinking about playing it on PC

1:25:36

rather than Xbox, which I've installed on

1:25:39

both Xbox. But on PC you can

1:25:41

mod that out and to me this

1:25:43

was the biggest number one problem with

1:25:45

oblivion and there are mods like ascension

1:25:47

and level caps and stuff like that

1:25:49

that that fixed that and I'm sure

1:25:52

they'll be porting them to to oblivion.

1:25:54

Ray do you have any moms at

1:25:56

all yet or no? No, I didn't.

1:25:58

Will Xbox have the capabilities of modding

1:26:00

at any point? Not likely. I mean

1:26:02

people people people are speculating because they've

1:26:04

gone so in on creations and such

1:26:07

but I really personally doubt it. It

1:26:09

wasn't part of the original and they're

1:26:11

trying to be faithful. the most part.

1:26:13

It doesn't make sense they would do

1:26:15

that on console, I don't think. Yeah,

1:26:17

I'm not sure how to mod the

1:26:19

game past games. Yeah, and that's the

1:26:22

other issue that steam is more, the

1:26:24

steam versions are more modible, such as

1:26:26

it is in a lot of cases,

1:26:28

but nexus is getting mods for the

1:26:30

remakes already. Yep. Yeah, they're coming fast

1:26:32

and curious because people are able to

1:26:34

port. They're finding like things can only

1:26:37

take a couple hours to port when

1:26:39

they look into a lot of a

1:26:41

lot of the mod authors authors authors.

1:26:43

So They're bringing over classics, they're starting

1:26:45

to new stuff. So that's really exciting.

1:26:47

So I mean, I'm hopeful for it.

1:26:50

But yeah, if you do plan PC,

1:26:52

there was one I used to use

1:26:54

called Ascension-level loot that I really liked,

1:26:56

but the last couple times I played

1:26:58

were on Xbox loop that I really

1:27:00

liked, but the last couple times I

1:27:02

played were on Xbox, but the last

1:27:05

couple times I played were on Xbox,

1:27:07

but the last couple times I played

1:27:09

were on Xbox, and like low-level wolves

1:27:11

and stuff like that, and not just

1:27:13

be like an ogre. And you said

1:27:15

that they comport some of the old

1:27:17

mods into the new. Like, I'm sorry,

1:27:20

they don't just live in the countryside.

1:27:22

That gets a little bit silly at

1:27:24

high levels in oblivion. But anyway, it

1:27:26

is out. There's 554 mods on Nexus

1:27:28

right now. That is amazing. And you

1:27:30

said that they comport some of the

1:27:32

old mods into the new. Can they?

1:27:35

somehow like just run it through a

1:27:37

thing where it like receives the new

1:27:39

improved graphics and enhance like how does

1:27:41

that work Jesus Christ people are brilliant

1:27:43

can't figure that out Ray you can

1:27:45

get back in the modding no come

1:27:48

on I need more flags especially not

1:27:50

for this right yeah well it's you

1:27:52

won't be able to mod well these

1:27:54

on Xbox So I'm looking at the

1:27:56

versions right now that came out. So

1:27:58

there are a couple ways you can

1:28:00

buy this. Of course, if you have

1:28:03

Game Pass, you can download it on

1:28:05

Xbox or PC. be a game pass

1:28:07

if you have Ultimate or game pass

1:28:09

PC of course as a separate option,

1:28:11

a separate thing. The base game is

1:28:13

$49.99 for the base game, so $50.

1:28:15

The deluxe edition, deluxe edition is $59

1:28:18

or $60. So I'm glad they're not

1:28:20

going full price on the game. At

1:28:22

this point, full price for most games

1:28:24

is 70. Nintendo is trying to tell

1:28:26

us is 80, but we're telling Nintendo

1:28:28

back that it's not. So full price

1:28:31

games are 70. And so releasing this

1:28:33

for 50, that's actually seemed like a

1:28:35

pretty good deal for an older game,

1:28:37

but with all the upgrades and all

1:28:39

the deals included and everything like that.

1:28:41

Did Alex edition, what includes extra? You

1:28:43

get a couple of new quests for

1:28:46

Akatosh and Mayron, for Akatosh armor, and

1:28:48

Mayron Dagon armor. There are some new

1:28:50

weapons and multiple horse armor sets. Not

1:28:52

just the O.G horse armor. I gotta

1:28:54

play horse armor. Yeah. Give your horse

1:28:56

the freshest the freshest drip. What's the

1:28:58

deluxe edition? Need that? You also get

1:29:01

the digital art book and soundtrack too.

1:29:03

So if you want to get a

1:29:05

copy of the soundtrack downloaded digital files,

1:29:07

that's the deluxe edition, $10 more. And

1:29:09

then finally. That's also available separately if

1:29:11

you just want to listen to the

1:29:13

music and look at the art book

1:29:16

too. You don't even have to buy

1:29:18

the game. I saw that. I was

1:29:20

like, I wonder who's going to buy

1:29:22

the art but not the game. That's

1:29:24

interesting that they provided that they provided

1:29:26

that. Yep, they're planning on, they're talking

1:29:29

about releasing a physical version of the

1:29:31

book, but you can also download it

1:29:33

separately, and you can get a $10

1:29:35

for just $10 if you have the

1:29:37

Game Pass version, and you can get

1:29:39

the digital deluxe upgrade, and that will

1:29:41

give you all the stuff with the

1:29:44

deluxe edition for $10 on top of

1:29:46

the base game. That's something we've been

1:29:48

doing with a lot of games. You

1:29:50

get it free for Game Pass, but

1:29:52

if you want, Not just the base

1:29:54

level, but the one where you could

1:29:56

actually play oblivion, that is $1 currently

1:29:59

to... sign up right now. I know

1:30:01

it's usually like 20 bucks a month

1:30:03

or something like that. But yeah, for

1:30:05

the ultimate. Yep, if you do in the

1:30:07

ultimate. It's only a buck right now. So sign

1:30:10

up if you want to go check out oblivion

1:30:12

for a free month. So oblivion remastered

1:30:14

is not in the core version that

1:30:17

you have Andrew. I'm surprised about

1:30:19

that. No, it's not. It should be.

1:30:21

Usually they put a lot of there. A lot

1:30:23

of their first-party games, it

1:30:25

will be eventually, I would

1:30:27

say. You think? I'm confident,

1:30:29

I'm confident that it will

1:30:31

be eventually. Okay. But in the

1:30:33

meantime, there is of course the

1:30:35

$15 in-between version, which is just

1:30:38

the console game pass as opposed

1:30:40

to Ultimate. Choices. Yeah, choices. Choices

1:30:42

to ultimate. Yeah, choices. Yeah, I

1:30:44

might do game pass for a month

1:30:46

and play it. She was like. So,

1:30:48

I'm just checking there a couple articles,

1:30:50

I think, in the intro. And then

1:30:52

some things to do first, how to

1:30:54

play. If you have any curious about

1:30:56

that, you can also go, the launch

1:30:58

video is up on YouTube. The initial

1:31:01

19-minute reveal, which was pretty

1:31:03

awesome if you didn't see it. The

1:31:05

19-minute reveal was pretty awesome if you

1:31:07

didn't see it. The 19-minute reveal

1:31:10

was well worth watching, like

1:31:12

people from Bethesda talking, people

1:31:14

from Virtuous talking, and shots to

1:31:16

the screen. But then there's that entire,

1:31:18

and going over the game and all

1:31:20

that. So that was really fun. That's

1:31:22

your remaster. Yay, everybody's

1:31:25

playing except for Andrew. I will,

1:31:27

I'll try, I'm sorry. I haven't

1:31:29

started yet either, so I can't

1:31:31

say a damn thing, let's be honest.

1:31:34

Big news in fall 76, Bethesda would

1:31:36

like to hear from you. So they

1:31:38

are considering bringing relaxed building restrictions

1:31:41

to adventure mode. For

1:31:43

the longest time since they

1:31:45

launched shelters and then custom

1:31:47

worlds, they have had it so that... You

1:31:49

can do relaxed building restrictions

1:31:52

in custom worlds larger larger

1:31:54

can't build area Place anywhere,

1:31:56

but then specifically the ability

1:31:59

to turn off collision so items

1:32:01

can collide or mess with each other where

1:32:03

you won't get as much this object

1:32:05

intersects another object you won't get that as

1:32:07

often and the ability to float so they have

1:32:09

a survey about it they want to know they

1:32:11

want to hear your thoughts you can just vote

1:32:14

simply yes I would like this no I wouldn't

1:32:16

you can put your thoughts and that's over

1:32:18

in the Bethesda net discord so Strata Blaster

1:32:20

if you have not voted yet and he

1:32:22

says no fix the menu first They're

1:32:24

working on that. They're working

1:32:27

on that strata blast, I

1:32:29

promise. I know they are.

1:32:31

But yeah, but I, there's

1:32:34

the option to vote for

1:32:36

build restrictions. And right

1:32:38

now, let me pull

1:32:40

it up. Last by check,

1:32:42

relaxed build restrictions are

1:32:45

about 93% in favor.

1:32:47

would prefer relaxed build

1:32:49

restrictions. I mean I assume

1:32:51

most people would I didn't

1:32:53

know 96% that's that's very

1:32:55

high but and then my

1:32:57

immediate question was going to be

1:32:59

what would be the drawback why why

1:33:01

would you not want to do this

1:33:04

like who wants it to be

1:33:06

more strict I mean besides they

1:33:08

they have other projects that

1:33:10

you should finish first like

1:33:12

yes organizing that damn menu

1:33:14

and stuff but well Some elitists, some

1:33:16

people are like, I know all the build

1:33:19

secrets and you don't, I don't want you

1:33:21

to build as well as I do with

1:33:23

my build secrets of my knowledge that I

1:33:25

hoard like a dragon. Yeah. That's some people.

1:33:27

Obviously not me, obviously not most of our

1:33:30

friends, but there's some people like that.

1:33:32

But more so, there's the question of

1:33:34

realism. So that's one of the worries

1:33:36

with this. One of the reasons why Bethesda

1:33:38

has a system in the first place is

1:33:40

to stop impossible build from happening

1:33:42

as easily. or at all as their plan,

1:33:44

but of course once we get to it as easily.

1:33:46

But most of it is just in the

1:33:48

way. Okay, most of the time it's just

1:33:50

a pain, it doesn't make sense, the intersecting

1:33:52

doesn't make sense, and that's why I want

1:33:54

to get rid of it. But my concern

1:33:56

is actually floating. I don't want to walk

1:33:59

in people's camps. random walls, random

1:34:01

roof pieces, just floating in the air.

1:34:03

I mean that, you can get why some people

1:34:05

find that really immersive braking.

1:34:07

They complain enough about some of our

1:34:09

fanciful builds already that are built to

1:34:12

corner the laws of physics. If you're

1:34:14

on a regular server, playing fallout

1:34:16

and you're like, oh my God, my immersions,

1:34:18

because you walk into a place and it's

1:34:21

like a big old MC Escher painting or

1:34:23

like a Salvador Dolly painting. This stuff

1:34:25

is floating everywhere. So I get that.

1:34:27

I actually, I can understand. not

1:34:29

allowing floating, but the rest of it,

1:34:31

please relax it. And honestly, just relax

1:34:34

floating to you and see how it

1:34:36

goes. You know, because people want

1:34:38

it. I trust that most players are

1:34:40

mature enough. Actually, I shouldn't say

1:34:43

that. Don't, don't know. I love

1:34:45

Fall of 76 community. I love most

1:34:47

of the players, but there are definitely

1:34:49

people are just going to be like,

1:34:51

throw it around and be like, heck with

1:34:53

it, I don't care. You remember? You remember,

1:34:55

I had a yard sale, junk pile.

1:34:58

trashyards style camp at least

1:35:00

all that was on the ground

1:35:02

right you let me you let me

1:35:05

float shit it's it's gonna be

1:35:07

chaos junk yards are realistic right

1:35:09

oh God yeah I mean it

1:35:12

could be I have done ridiculous

1:35:14

floating I was just say this

1:35:16

would be just a a junk yard

1:35:19

but in space where all

1:35:21

everything can float right there

1:35:23

we go so speaking of junk

1:35:25

yards I got to tell you about

1:35:27

this week's atomic shop offer. I haven't

1:35:29

talked about the atomic shop in a

1:35:31

while. I'm not saying it's trash, okay?

1:35:33

Your girl is not here saying, ooh,

1:35:35

the atomic shop is trash. What I

1:35:37

am saying is that there's a bundle

1:35:39

with the junkyard dog bundle,

1:35:42

just like you would get from Gene in

1:35:44

the fall of four. No way! Does Gene

1:35:46

come with a bundle? Gene does not

1:35:48

come with a bundle. But it's okay,

1:35:50

he'd be reluctant to say you. The

1:35:52

junkier God- Yeah, he got a twist

1:35:54

his god damn arm. He'd say, oh yeah,

1:35:57

please take it. And then, oh no, I

1:35:59

love it so much. Whereas the atomic

1:36:01

shop, you never need to twist its

1:36:03

arm. It is happy to take your

1:36:06

caps and sell you more. So.

1:36:08

So this is just a re-skin

1:36:10

of the dog that we got.

1:36:12

Essentially, yeah, in that style. Kind

1:36:14

of Rottweiler. A nice Rottweiler model,

1:36:17

really cute. Comes with a cool

1:36:19

junk yard dog, dog house, rusted

1:36:21

chain, a junk yard food bowl.

1:36:24

Rust a chain. That's the thing you

1:36:26

can build for him at the. The

1:36:28

armor, the armor bench. Yeah, exactly. Yeah,

1:36:30

chain from to where. And yeah,

1:36:33

it's a cute little bundle,

1:36:35

junkyard welder bundle. I'm not sure

1:36:37

what that is. But there are a

1:36:39

couple of things happening. So there are

1:36:41

a bunch of bundles available in

1:36:43

the shop right now. We don't

1:36:45

have any of the floral stuff.

1:36:48

People have been asking for the

1:36:50

flowers to come back. I have a

1:36:52

feeling it'll be coming next week when

1:36:54

we get the new event. We'll see.

1:36:56

And it's interesting. It's almost

1:36:59

like it's St. Patrick's

1:37:01

inspired, but not actually

1:37:03

a leprecon. So you can

1:37:05

wear it's got this kind of

1:37:07

cool looking green coat that I

1:37:10

really like. It's got a cool paint

1:37:12

for the fixer called the

1:37:14

Persuader. The Persuader paint that looks

1:37:17

pretty good. And yeah, the

1:37:19

Jag is really snazzy. So

1:37:21

I like that. You've also

1:37:23

got a new emote with it

1:37:25

called Fan the Hammer. I'm guessing,

1:37:27

I'm guessing that's going to be

1:37:29

like the hammer on the rifle,

1:37:31

like taking in kind of like

1:37:33

you're playing with the hammer, caulking it

1:37:35

back. Oh, I assumed it was going

1:37:37

to be a Thor thing, where you're

1:37:39

like, with a hammer in the sky

1:37:42

or something. Okay, so Lee says

1:37:44

the junk yard welder has a

1:37:46

cutting torch, that makes sense. And

1:37:48

Rando says the remote uses the

1:37:50

stick shooter. So you're fanning the

1:37:52

hammer on the stick shooter apparently.

1:37:55

Sounds cool. Can you imagine? Oh my

1:37:57

god, does it actually do something

1:37:59

now? So finally, I want to

1:38:01

mention we did get an update

1:38:03

on the 22nd. We got a

1:38:06

big follow-up 76 update as well.

1:38:08

It wasn't just the

1:38:10

remakester, but the update

1:38:12

itself was mostly fixes.

1:38:14

So let's go what was

1:38:16

in it. First of all, happening

1:38:18

right now is the Appalachian

1:38:20

Outlaws challenge event. Wait, no, it's

1:38:23

not a challenge event. It's a

1:38:25

mini-season. It's got to put on

1:38:27

the outfit. or craft the thing,

1:38:29

go out and do the challenges for

1:38:31

the day and get your points. But

1:38:33

now it shows up on the scoreboard. So

1:38:35

instead of having to log in for

1:38:37

five days to get everything done to

1:38:40

get the reward, you actually get tickets

1:38:42

when you complete the challenges on this.

1:38:44

And then you can go and you can

1:38:46

redeem them in what's called a mini

1:38:48

season right on the scoreboard. I'm hearing

1:38:51

a lot of complaints about it.

1:38:53

It was maybe unnecessary. But for

1:38:55

people like me who are not as

1:38:57

good at logging in five days a week

1:38:59

anymore, and maybe only a couple times,

1:39:01

it's perfect because I can take and

1:39:03

I can spend regular tickets to get

1:39:05

anything I want from the mini season,

1:39:07

and only log in and do the

1:39:09

challenge events two or three times if

1:39:11

I want. But if you do the

1:39:14

challenge events appropriately, you will get exactly enough

1:39:16

tickets to get all the rewards.

1:39:18

Some new currency again, more different

1:39:20

tickets this time. No, it's still the

1:39:22

same tickets. It's using all the same

1:39:24

season tickets. Just you've got a new

1:39:27

little board to spend them on, a

1:39:29

little mini season inside the regular

1:39:31

season. So, but we don't earn more

1:39:33

tickets. So now our tickets that we do earn

1:39:35

more tickets. We do earn more tickets. Oh,

1:39:37

okay. All right. If you do the special

1:39:40

mini season event. So really, it's essentially

1:39:42

still exactly the same challenge event.

1:39:44

It's just now instead of getting

1:39:46

automatically when you do it. you get tickets

1:39:49

that you can then spend on it which are on the

1:39:51

board. And if you don't want the stuff, you just get

1:39:53

extra tickets. So if you're not getting them any

1:39:55

season, you can get those extra tickets you earned

1:39:57

and put them towards the main stuff. And you're

1:39:59

saying... you don't have to log

1:40:01

in three days in a row

1:40:04

anymore to do it? Can I

1:40:06

do them all at once and

1:40:08

get it, knock it out or

1:40:10

whatever? Is it going to be

1:40:13

spread out? No, there will

1:40:15

still be some every day,

1:40:17

but you're not locked out

1:40:20

because you only logged in

1:40:22

three or four times as

1:40:24

far as I can tell. Okay. Yeah.

1:40:27

As far as I can tell.

1:40:29

Okay. A duffel bag full

1:40:31

of cash. That piggy bank

1:40:33

is adorable. Yeah, you can

1:40:35

see the backside of the

1:40:38

piggy bank. People love the

1:40:40

little curly tail. Does he

1:40:42

have a butt? Does he

1:40:45

have a little butt cheeks?

1:40:47

Got a little butt? Got a

1:40:49

cork in his butt? Yeah,

1:40:51

now some knotty folk, some people

1:40:53

who are maybe got their mind

1:40:56

in the gutter. No. looking like

1:40:58

a pair of boobies. I'm sorry,

1:41:01

it's true. Can you believe it?

1:41:03

Yes, actually I can believe it.

1:41:05

I take it back. I do trust

1:41:07

them to be immature. And there we

1:41:10

go. Perfect example of discord right

1:41:12

now. Oh, perfect. Yeah, take a look at

1:41:14

that Andrew. Do you see that picture?

1:41:16

Yeah, those are boobs. Look at that.

1:41:18

Come on. Cute little curly tail.

1:41:20

Can you look closely? It's curly

1:41:22

tail from a curly tail from a

1:41:24

distance? Oh my geez. like the vendor bought

1:41:26

so it looks like when you take your

1:41:29

pictures that it's got the the piggy boobs

1:41:31

that'd be great I'm here for keeping you

1:41:33

abreast of all the challenges abreast I

1:41:35

see what you're next up we've got the

1:41:37

big bloom event starting on Tuesday that's

1:41:39

gonna be the new event so to

1:41:41

go over what is actually happening with

1:41:43

it we talked about a little bit

1:41:45

but the character starts at Susan's

1:41:48

cabin and the character is black-eyed

1:41:50

Susan She loves flowers, floralangements, and a

1:41:52

pension for violence. So you have to

1:41:54

help her in her garden and defenter

1:41:56

garden from the overgrown. The overgrown are

1:41:58

the creatures that you get in. the kind of

1:42:01

the swamp creature, the plant creature you

1:42:03

get in Atlantic City. Oh, right. So

1:42:05

it's a rework of them for this event.

1:42:07

And it's really, it's just to

1:42:10

defend the, defend the objective event

1:42:12

long enough and you get prizes. But

1:42:14

there are gonna be prizes for it,

1:42:16

obviously rewards. Fun new event should

1:42:18

be good. So I haven't, I didn't

1:42:21

play it on the PTSD, but it's been

1:42:23

there for a while. People say it's

1:42:25

nice. It's a fun change of pace. But

1:42:27

it's not anything new per se. A good

1:42:29

100 little quality of life changes

1:42:31

in this update. It was a

1:42:34

pretty big one. If you've logged

1:42:36

in, you know, but this is

1:42:38

more for people who haven't logged

1:42:40

in. You haven't checked them

1:42:42

out yet. Mostly camp and

1:42:44

combat stuff. The hunting rifle,

1:42:46

if you like the hunting

1:42:48

rifle, it got a major damage boost.

1:42:51

So the hunting rifle, compared

1:42:53

to other rifles and such,

1:42:55

it's like the service rifle,

1:42:58

combat rifle. Obviously the fixer

1:43:00

and the handmade. The regular hunter's

1:43:02

rifle just wasn't great. And they've

1:43:04

gone skins for it. Supermutants use them.

1:43:06

So the buff obviously applies to Supermutants

1:43:08

on it too. So just they made

1:43:11

the weapon better. Uh-oh. That means

1:43:13

Supermutants gonna do more damage on

1:43:15

me. Fack. Yep. I mean, you know, you

1:43:17

can take it. You can now get glowing

1:43:19

bobble heads from boxes, which is good. Before

1:43:21

it was not working properly. And the

1:43:23

biggest thing out of these hundred

1:43:25

bullet points I mentioned, they've also

1:43:28

done a major simplification on limb

1:43:30

damage. So I had mentioned before how

1:43:32

they had changed some perks to just

1:43:34

focus on generic limb damage and then

1:43:37

make that affect more creatures

1:43:39

including bosses. Now they're simplifying that

1:43:41

table more too. So you'll see

1:43:43

when you look at your perk cards,

1:43:45

but different perk cards basically just

1:43:47

give you 25, 50, 75% extra limb

1:43:50

damage, which would be good. Yeah, we got

1:43:52

new glowing bubble heads now with the

1:43:54

Gulip team. I haven't found one yet.

1:43:56

How do those, is it just, they

1:43:58

appear in the same spots? regular bobbleheads

1:44:00

and if you are a ghoul they are glowing

1:44:02

or how does this work? They're just variants

1:44:05

so yeah there's like a 10% chance that you

1:44:07

get them from the boxes and like a 1%

1:44:09

chance that a regular bobblehead will appear

1:44:11

as it so they're not really common

1:44:13

and they don't do anything special but

1:44:15

they glow so if you are someone who

1:44:17

likes to display your bobbleheads have a

1:44:19

collection or whatever you know like will

1:44:22

do the bobblehead bridge you can now

1:44:24

display glowing ones and be like look what

1:44:26

I got and be like what I got and

1:44:28

be like what boxes Oh, the mystery bobblehead

1:44:30

boxes. Mystery bobblehead boxes,

1:44:33

what are those? Yeah, you can get them

1:44:35

from the, from the, some of the scoreboard

1:44:37

and his rewards for things. Oh, okay, neat.

1:44:39

I've not, check that out. Yep, they're,

1:44:41

they're a pretty neat little reward. I'm

1:44:43

not sure if we get them in

1:44:45

holiday gifts or anything, but I imagine

1:44:47

we do. Neat. There's no other

1:44:49

major event this weekend. Appalachian outlaws

1:44:52

happening, like I said, big bloom

1:44:54

starting April 29, next week. And that's

1:44:56

it for the foreseeable future.

1:44:58

There's really nothing big for

1:45:00

May besides this big new

1:45:02

event. So hopefully it's fun, but

1:45:04

I think it will be. I think it's

1:45:06

going to be a good time from what

1:45:08

I hear. The big bloom, is that

1:45:11

what it was called? Yep. And as

1:45:13

I mentioned, and as I mentioned before,

1:45:15

it's going to start, the location, is

1:45:17

that what it was called? Yep. And

1:45:19

as I mentioned before, it's going

1:45:21

to start, the location, it's the

1:45:24

very bottom right corner. Right, on

1:45:26

your way. If you find the new area,

1:45:28

Skyline Valley, just to the east of that, like

1:45:30

just past all the Skyline Valley stuff,

1:45:32

almost into the country back. I meant top

1:45:35

left of that placard that is in the

1:45:37

bottom right corner of the map. You got

1:45:39

it. Because I saw... I was trying to find

1:45:41

some location the other day and I

1:45:43

couldn't find it but I kept bringing

1:45:45

up this picture of the placard that's

1:45:47

down there and a big X marks

1:45:49

the spot right here on this like

1:45:51

the very top corner of that and

1:45:53

I was like what the fuck are

1:45:56

they doing and it must be there

1:45:58

they're locating that new location I bet. Randall

1:46:00

just recorded a video of the

1:46:02

new remote. It looks super cool

1:46:04

in the discourse. You want to

1:46:06

see it? So yeah, you're doing a

1:46:08

kind of wild bill hiccoc kind of

1:46:10

thing. Where you're fan in the hammer,

1:46:13

you're spinning the revolver and you're

1:46:15

blowing it out and getting a

1:46:17

spin. Yeah, I like it a lot. You

1:46:19

blow on the pistol, the little smoke

1:46:21

at the end. Very cool. So you

1:46:23

mentioned already there is a game passed

1:46:25

for just a dollar. They used to

1:46:27

do this all the time. It's

1:46:30

not for the first three months or

1:46:32

just one? I don't know if it's for

1:46:34

one or three. I did not look deeper

1:46:36

into that, but I think I might go

1:46:38

ahead and pull the trigger and sign up

1:46:40

for a month of game passing. Just to

1:46:43

try out that oblivion, just because,

1:46:45

you know, if Ray can enjoy it, I

1:46:47

think I should probably give it a chance,

1:46:49

right? I think you probably should. I, yeah,

1:46:51

it's the new hotness. And Ray

1:46:53

doesn't even like fantasy games. I

1:46:56

remember when he thought magic was

1:46:58

silly. Do you remember that

1:47:00

chess? He didn't want to

1:47:02

play Sky. Yeah, I didn't

1:47:04

play Skyroom until the special

1:47:06

edition came out. I mean to

1:47:08

twist your arm to get you into

1:47:11

that too. Oh yeah, yeah, no, you

1:47:13

worked on me for quite

1:47:15

a while. Finally convinced me.

1:47:17

Yeah. The rest of history,

1:47:19

y'all. Horrible influence. 4,000

1:47:22

hours later. And how many

1:47:24

hours of podcasting between all

1:47:26

your shows, too, right? Not

1:47:28

just the game. I'm the only one of

1:47:30

us who came to this through fantasy first.

1:47:33

Was Pat fallout first too?

1:47:35

Probably, right? Yeah. He was absolutely

1:47:37

fallout. Yeah. Fallout, yeah. Okay, Rando had

1:47:39

to say, Oblivion around table

1:47:42

confirmed. Yeah, that's what he was saying,

1:47:44

a chat, if we all play oblivion.

1:47:46

I think we're trying to talk us

1:47:48

into it, because I've seen that brought

1:47:50

up about eight or nine times in the

1:47:52

chat tonight. Yeah, there's a

1:47:54

much better chance of that

1:47:57

happening on the Skyramatic podcast.

1:47:59

It's true. It's true, we just

1:48:01

talked Starfield over here on the

1:48:04

follow feed. What about the Starfield

1:48:06

Lorkas? I know it's more of

1:48:08

a LOR thing, but would you

1:48:10

do a roundtable type project on

1:48:12

that? It's not that kind of show,

1:48:14

really. Yeah. For a different show,

1:48:16

really, necessarily. But I do

1:48:18

want to do things more quest-based.

1:48:21

Talking LOR and talking, talking

1:48:23

quest in a similar kind of

1:48:25

format. Yeah. Podcast wars is Lee.

1:48:27

Oh my goodness. today and I

1:48:29

started a new character. Did you? But

1:48:31

I, you know, I'm not sure if

1:48:34

it's going to take or not, especially

1:48:36

if I'm going to start oblivion. We'll

1:48:38

see. We'll see what happens. We'll see

1:48:40

which one grabs you, if any of

1:48:43

them. Maybe you'll display shelter. You

1:48:45

know that. You know, I will. Always room

1:48:47

for shelter. So speaking of updates and

1:48:49

goals and stuff, you want to go

1:48:52

over this last iguan a bit? This

1:48:54

is a pretty good morsel. Exciting one.

1:48:56

Let's see, what is our last morsel

1:48:58

here? Oh, I just saw this morning

1:49:00

on the news, and it's funny that I'm

1:49:02

starting to see this guy fucking everywhere,

1:49:05

but I saw that Walton Goggins is

1:49:07

going to be on Saturday Night Live,

1:49:09

going to be the host on May 10th,

1:49:11

and I was just thinking, well look

1:49:13

how this guy has been in fallout. this

1:49:16

past year and recording season

1:49:18

two of that but I

1:49:20

think he's also on the

1:49:22

righteous gemstones and some other

1:49:25

he's on like three

1:49:27

Lotus I think he's

1:49:29

on three majorly popular

1:49:31

shows right now that like and

1:49:33

I was trying to think Is

1:49:36

there an actor who's ever been

1:49:38

on three major, that and that

1:49:40

weren't reality or like some bullshit,

1:49:42

like actual scripted? Like, as a

1:49:44

main character, I don't, that used to

1:49:46

not be allowed. Like, you signed contracts

1:49:49

that prevented you from doing

1:49:51

that. But is that one of the

1:49:53

benefits of the new streaming culture? Is

1:49:56

people, I think so. Actors are not

1:49:58

single out the projects. Yeah. When you're

1:50:00

two or three years between seasons, they

1:50:02

can't tell you. And you film for

1:50:04

shorter. So instead of doing 22 or

1:50:06

what, 24 episodes in a season where

1:50:08

you're filming nine, 10 months a year,

1:50:10

now they're filming five, six months a

1:50:12

year and they're doing every two, three

1:50:14

years. So yeah, it's just different. But

1:50:16

yeah, this guy's super involved and

1:50:19

he's evidently Hollywood's new, you know. It's

1:50:21

a big, big discovery. It's like I remember

1:50:23

seeing this guy all over the place like

1:50:25

back in the day. He was like one

1:50:27

of those faces that you just see in

1:50:30

movies. Oh, that guy. Love that guy. Oh,

1:50:32

love. But now he's actually one of the

1:50:34

one of the stars. Good for him. Like

1:50:36

they have Walton Goggins and

1:50:38

Scarlet Johansson finishing up the

1:50:40

season. She'll be on the 17th. He's on

1:50:42

the 10th. Very cool. All right, so

1:50:45

check that out May 10th, Walton Goggins

1:50:47

on Saturday Night Live. And I used

1:50:49

to watch Tonight Live every week in

1:50:51

the last decade or so I've totally

1:50:53

fallen off. I don't even really watch

1:50:55

it anymore. Sometimes snippets the next day.

1:50:58

My wife likes to check it out

1:51:00

sometimes. My mom still watches it every

1:51:02

week. But I will definitely tune in

1:51:04

for the Walton Goggins episode.

1:51:06

So let's have a watch party you guys.

1:51:08

All right. So is that all the iguana

1:51:11

bits we were going to get into tonight?

1:51:13

All the bits we have, yep. All right, thanks.

1:51:15

I forgot to play our iguana bit sounder, I'm

1:51:17

so sad. I can do it fresh, I can

1:51:19

do it fresh, let's wrap it up. Well

1:51:22

class, I hope you enjoyed those iguana

1:51:24

bits. If you have any leftovers, feel

1:51:26

free to put them in a bag

1:51:28

and take them home. Otherwise, you can

1:51:30

bring them over to the office. Collecting

1:51:32

iguana bits in the office. That's the

1:51:34

best. And I didn't know if you

1:51:36

want to want to get into this,

1:51:38

or you want to get into this

1:51:40

or not, or not, Jess, The reasons

1:51:42

you weren't into playing games much in

1:51:44

the middle of this week is that

1:51:46

you recently had a big loss in

1:51:48

your household, right? Yeah, so yeah, my

1:51:50

pug, Alister, passed away this week, which

1:51:52

obviously any regular listens to

1:51:54

the show and friends, I talk about

1:51:57

my pug a little bit too much,

1:51:59

I'm aware. It's a huge part of

1:52:01

my life and I love it. There's

1:52:03

no such thing. Well, good. I'm a

1:52:05

crazy pug, mom, and I'm a

1:52:07

crazy pug, without a pug, right

1:52:09

now, because Alistair passed away. Ray and

1:52:12

Andrew knew that he had been

1:52:14

having heart issues, and, you know,

1:52:16

without getting into all the details,

1:52:18

it was just, he declined

1:52:20

much quicker than expected

1:52:22

despite medication, despite

1:52:24

medication, and passed away

1:52:27

on Wednesday. I miss them already and we

1:52:29

all have all of us here and

1:52:31

everyone listening has probably had

1:52:33

pets that they love. People

1:52:35

they love they lost and it's just

1:52:37

it's so sad and it's it's hard to

1:52:39

deal with. I've been a bit of a

1:52:42

wreck about it obviously you know had a

1:52:44

great show tonight and love you with my

1:52:46

friends here and all that but it's been

1:52:49

a little hard to know what to do

1:52:51

with myself you know they're our best

1:52:53

friends right you guys I mean they

1:52:55

really are some of our best friends. We

1:52:57

were having the conversation and Ray and I

1:53:00

were both like, yeah, our dogs are on

1:53:02

this medication. He'll be fine. And then you

1:53:04

pop back onto the chat like just two

1:53:06

days later. And with the horrible news, I

1:53:09

was just totally fucking blown away. I can't

1:53:11

believe it happened so quickly. It's so shocking.

1:53:13

Yeah, that's exactly the word that came to

1:53:16

my mind. Holy cow. That's the thing when

1:53:18

I didn't realize before this. And guys let

1:53:20

this be a little of a PSA. I

1:53:22

did not realize how small dogs can have

1:53:24

hard issues as they get older as they

1:53:26

get older. You know, but both of you

1:53:28

have experience with that with one of your

1:53:30

animals. And even though I've had three dogs,

1:53:33

a couple of pugs and he worked, dogs

1:53:35

a lot of my life, I didn't realize

1:53:37

how prevalent it was of dogs if they

1:53:39

hit 13. It's like the majority. Yeah.

1:53:41

And I was just surprised to see that.

1:53:43

So if your dog starts wheezing and having

1:53:45

a cough out of nowhere in their coughing.

1:53:47

That's a sign of it, often brought

1:53:49

on by congestive heart failure. It's so

1:53:51

with little dogs especially is where it

1:53:54

happens the most. And also you had

1:53:56

the brachiosophallic breed with the shorter things,

1:53:58

you know, they're breathing. issues are

1:54:00

hard already plus you put fluid

1:54:02

on your lungs or like congestive

1:54:04

heart failure on top of that

1:54:06

and yeah I could see how

1:54:09

that could pile up. Yeah being

1:54:11

a pug, Alster would occasionally have

1:54:13

the breathing fits, the asthma attack

1:54:15

type thing, stuff like this and

1:54:17

this added to it and despite

1:54:19

medication you know the heart failure

1:54:21

so wow yeah he's a good

1:54:23

boy he'll be missed. Yeah, and

1:54:25

so my heart is without everybody.

1:54:27

Like I said, it's, Alistair was

1:54:29

my boy and I talk about

1:54:31

him a lot. And we got

1:54:33

to see him run around behind

1:54:36

you. All the time. The Zoom

1:54:38

call, so. Yeah. What did, do

1:54:40

you mind a couple of questions?

1:54:42

No, that's fine. What, what is

1:54:44

the origin of the name Alistair?

1:54:46

Alistair. Alister Gordon left bridge pug.

1:54:48

Alister Gordon left the ridge Left

1:54:50

bridge Left bridge. Okay. Yeah. All

1:54:52

right. What are all those words?

1:54:54

It's full title. His full title

1:54:56

is Brigadier general. Oh my gosh.

1:54:58

I did not realize I should

1:55:01

have bowed. I mean he saluting

1:55:03

saluting is appropriate. You know. I

1:55:05

could have curtsied. You have to

1:55:07

do the British salute one hand

1:55:09

up to the pug. But no,

1:55:11

he's named after the Brigadier from

1:55:13

Doctor Who, originally. Brigadier Alister Gordon,

1:55:15

Lethbridge Stewart, was his name. Oh,

1:55:17

on the show, that character's name

1:55:19

was. Yes, there's a character from

1:55:21

Classic Doctor Who for years. I

1:55:23

see. I see. I see. And

1:55:26

so James wanted to name him

1:55:28

after that. And he's also, in

1:55:30

my mind, named after Alister from

1:55:32

Dragon Age, because I was playing

1:55:34

a lot of Dragon Age at

1:55:36

that point. I'm like, yeah, that's

1:55:38

a great idea, that's a great

1:55:40

idea, honey. But one fun thing

1:55:42

we did with the pugs throughout

1:55:44

the years was he would occasionally

1:55:46

get, you know, promotions and demotions

1:55:48

as he moved up the ranks

1:55:51

based on his behavior. So, you

1:55:53

know, because nobody starts as a

1:55:55

brigadier general. You have to, you

1:55:57

have to. to earn it. So

1:55:59

he was a private, he was

1:56:01

a colonel for a long time,

1:56:03

and then he chewed some glass

1:56:05

and went back down to like

1:56:07

a sergeant, but then he got

1:56:09

back to colonel. Don't chew glasses,

1:56:11

you know, that's not appropriate behavior

1:56:13

for an officer. No, no, no,

1:56:15

no, no. No. No. No. No.

1:56:18

No. No. No. No. No. No.

1:56:20

No. No. No. No. So great.

1:56:22

Well, he will be missed. And

1:56:24

just as a last little note

1:56:26

here on, on Alister, I've got

1:56:28

a, one of his greatest hits.

1:56:30

It's the Pug's favorite crust too,

1:56:32

if anyone was wondering about how

1:56:34

Pug's ranked crust. He's a big

1:56:36

fan. He heard his name. He

1:56:38

agrees. He likes crust. So that

1:56:40

was, that was one of Alister's

1:56:43

many appearances. on the fallout feet.

1:56:45

Big fan of cheese sticks and

1:56:47

cheese crust for sure. He will

1:56:49

be missed. Yeah. Thank you. All

1:56:51

right. So let's get into a

1:56:53

little bit of shout-out. So you

1:56:55

have something here, Jess, for shouts.

1:56:57

I just wanted to give a

1:56:59

quick shout-out. This is actually a

1:57:01

starfield related shout-out to Annie Austin.

1:57:03

A lot of people, if you

1:57:05

watch much YouTube, you've probably seen

1:57:08

any YouTube, you've probably seen any

1:57:10

Austin. He's blowing up in the

1:57:12

last year or two. how things

1:57:14

work in various games. And like

1:57:16

a slightly obscure odd things. Like

1:57:18

where do all the power lines

1:57:20

in GTA really go? But he's

1:57:22

done stuff like that for a

1:57:24

fallout and scar a bit too.

1:57:26

He's big on Bethesda games. He

1:57:28

just did his first Starfield video.

1:57:30

And the video is, do Starfield's

1:57:32

pipes make any sense? And he's

1:57:35

analyzing all the random pipes around

1:57:37

Gagarin landing. And I thought it

1:57:39

was great. So I hope he

1:57:41

does more Starfield videos. He actually

1:57:43

said he's enjoying Starfield. So. Talk

1:57:45

one up for the good guys.

1:57:47

The pipes. So he's following them

1:57:49

to make sure what they're labeled

1:57:51

goes from a tank to a

1:57:53

service port or something just to

1:57:55

make sure. Trying to decode the

1:57:57

realism of the. pipes and I'll

1:58:00

let you go. And I'll let

1:58:02

you watch to see his conclusions.

1:58:04

But yeah, any Austin is great.

1:58:06

And Lee asked, what is that

1:58:08

that he's wearing on his head?

1:58:10

He wears hair clips. He's got

1:58:12

hair clips in his hair. It's

1:58:14

just a thing he does. So

1:58:16

yeah. All right, that is all

1:58:18

I have for this evening. Was

1:58:20

there anything else you guys wanted

1:58:22

to get into tonight? All for

1:58:25

me. No. All right, in that

1:58:27

case, I will let you know

1:58:29

you can find Ray at Ray

1:58:31

Elby and his No Man Sky

1:58:33

Show at BBC-I-S-S-S-S-S for the Butcherbaker

1:58:35

Candlemaker Candlemaker in space. Ray, thanks

1:58:37

so much for hopping on tonight,

1:58:39

sir. Good times. And Jess can

1:58:41

be found at sleep is for

1:58:43

tea. Both of them like to

1:58:45

frequent our discord. And also in

1:58:47

our discord guys, if you like

1:58:49

to visit our pet section, that

1:58:52

is actually a fairly live portion

1:58:54

of our discord occasionally. Yeah. And

1:58:56

with all the the pet talk

1:58:58

tonight, I'd like to see everyone's,

1:59:00

everyone's animals. So go over to

1:59:02

our discord and upload your pets.

1:59:04

What's up? Shout out to Sillyore,

1:59:06

getting a new dog. Oh, you

1:59:08

got a new pooch? Yeah, got

1:59:10

a new pooch. Just got her.

1:59:12

Beautiful. Well, I'll have to mosey

1:59:14

on over to our discord and

1:59:17

to our pet section and get

1:59:19

an update on Sullyore's new baby.

1:59:21

Yeah. Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Nan,

1:59:23

and then. All kinds of pets

1:59:25

in there. Definitely check them out.

1:59:27

And Ray's going instruct me on

1:59:29

how to get some snails as

1:59:31

big as big as my forearm.

1:59:33

Oh my god, you guys, they

1:59:35

took over our podcast chat with

1:59:37

snail and snail water. I only

1:59:39

caught some. of it during work.

1:59:42

I mean, impressive. He's telling me

1:59:44

to watch my copper levels, okay?

1:59:46

You know, you have to, to

1:59:48

keep happy snails. Important. My wife

1:59:50

saw a video of an af-

1:59:52

a giant African land snail, like,

1:59:54

like... Someone turned on a faucet

1:59:56

and it like looked and like

1:59:58

its little antennae perked up and

2:00:00

you could tell it like got

2:00:02

excited and it stuck its little

2:00:04

nose and the little trickle of

2:00:06

the water and then like turned

2:00:09

at the camera and smiled its

2:00:11

little god damn face like a

2:00:13

god damn puppy and then looked

2:00:15

back at the water and drained

2:00:17

its hold neck in and was

2:00:19

just like rolling in the water

2:00:21

and you could tell it was

2:00:23

like loving it. And Torrey's like,

2:00:25

I need a snail now. Go

2:00:27

get me a snail. So we're

2:00:29

looking into it, and of course

2:00:31

they're fucking illegal in the United

2:00:34

States. They're like superinvasive and dangerous

2:00:36

and stuff. You have to get

2:00:38

a permit if you want to

2:00:40

own them in Indiana. But these

2:00:42

are for like fancy big snails,

2:00:44

right? No, they're like a foot

2:00:46

god damn long. They are huge

2:00:48

ass snails. They are crazy. But

2:00:50

Ray was recommending some smaller ones

2:00:52

to me that we might be

2:00:54

able to have legally in this

2:00:56

in this state. And weren't you

2:00:59

thinking about getting some lids or

2:01:01

something with them too? Like making

2:01:03

them multiple use terrarium? I like

2:01:05

frogs. Frogs are my big thing.

2:01:07

I love getting tadpoles. and watching

2:01:09

the transformation into frogs. I just

2:01:11

think it was one of the

2:01:13

most fucking amazing things to watch

2:01:15

those little guys grow into frogs.

2:01:17

I just think it's so fucking

2:01:19

cool. My dad did it with

2:01:21

me when I was a kid.

2:01:24

We would like just go catch

2:01:26

like some frog eggs and then

2:01:28

you know put them in a

2:01:30

little glass jar with a rock

2:01:32

and some pond water and just

2:01:34

let them go. You know, and

2:01:36

they would eventually turn into little

2:01:38

frogs and be hopping around them.

2:01:40

We'd re-release them. And then you

2:01:42

read like... And it only, you

2:01:44

know, frog eggs, the reason they

2:01:46

lay so many, like hundreds of

2:01:48

frog eggs is because like 98%

2:01:51

of them get eaten by fish

2:01:53

before they actually make it into

2:01:55

tadpoles. And then 98% of those...

2:01:57

had poles get eaten by fish

2:01:59

because they're food for whatever or

2:02:01

birds or whatever. So and then

2:02:03

like very baby frogs are 98%

2:02:05

of them get eaten by birds

2:02:07

and storks and bigger fish and

2:02:09

bowl frogs and stuff so you're

2:02:11

just like adult frogs. Did they

2:02:13

get their revenge? Do they do

2:02:16

the big frogs, eat the fish

2:02:18

and get revenge? They're food for

2:02:20

so many things. They only get

2:02:22

their revenge on flies. Mosquitos and

2:02:24

stuff. They don't get revenge on

2:02:26

anyone. So I love the frogs.

2:02:28

So I always think it's cool

2:02:30

if I can take them in

2:02:32

and grow them up to at

2:02:34

least like baby frog size and

2:02:36

then re-release them to try to

2:02:38

give them at least a little

2:02:41

more hope or whatever. But I'm

2:02:43

probably just going to promote a

2:02:45

frog invasion or something. You know.

2:02:47

What we're release, well then just

2:02:49

find another animal to release to

2:02:51

catch all the frogs, right? And

2:02:53

then we'll have to find another

2:02:55

animal to kill that animal. Now

2:02:57

I'm just thinking about Doc Hopper

2:02:59

out there trying to get Kermit.

2:03:01

Oh, he's the French fried frog

2:03:03

legs. Everybody wants to eat those

2:03:05

frogs. Take a left at the

2:03:08

fork in the road. Hermit does

2:03:10

have some pretty thick frog legs.

2:03:12

He does. All right, so that

2:03:14

was a fun tangent as we're

2:03:16

signing off on the show here.

2:03:18

Okay, so we're gonna go ahead
