0:47
friends, and welcome to the Happy Hour with Jamie
0:50
Ivey podcast. I'm your host Jamie, and I'm
0:52
so glad you're here. Each week on this show,
0:54
I invite a friend to join me and we
0:56
chat about the big things in life, the
0:58
little things in life, and everything in between. Hey
1:11
friends, and welcome to Wednesday,
1:14
May 8th. What
1:16
a great week. I just want to say you
1:18
just have me today on the podcast. I'm all by myself.
1:21
And I think I should start with a
1:24
little bit of gratitude for the love that
1:26
you guys sent to me after my
1:28
episode aired on Friday. I
1:31
was just a mess about
1:34
that episode. I was so nervous. I
1:36
was so anxious. I was all the
1:38
things. And
1:41
everything has been, you guys have been so kind
1:43
to me. You've been so kind to me. And
1:45
the messages I've received from so many
1:47
of you about thank you for even saying things
1:49
that I felt that no one knows about. And
1:52
thank you for your boundaries. And it's
1:55
just been really, really great. I just want to say thank
1:57
you guys. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I want to
1:59
say that this is a great episode. This is kind of
2:01
a big day here on May 8. We're kind of in
2:03
the middle of a lot of stuff going on. So Monday
2:05
was my birthday. I turned 46. So
2:08
grateful to have another year of life.
2:10
Over the weekend, we had lacrosse
2:12
games and we won. And my
2:14
son's team is going to the
2:16
state championship next weekend. So we're
2:18
going to Houston. Playing lacrosse
2:21
has been a joy for me.
2:24
I'm always to watch my kids do whatever they're
2:26
doing. But lacrosse was just a gift to me
2:28
in this last season, the lacrosse
2:30
game for such a gift. And so it's
2:32
been a really, really great weekend. So Monday was my birthday. Today's
2:34
Wednesday the 8th. And tomorrow, Thursday,
2:37
May 9th, is the
2:39
birthday of the happy hour. Yes, you
2:41
heard that. 10 years since
2:44
I pushed record on this very first episode.
2:46
That's tomorrow, the birthday. So we're kind of
2:48
going to celebrate that all month long. I'm
2:50
super excited. Today, I want to talk
2:52
to you about my book, Why Can't I Get It Together? And I just
2:55
wanted to come on here, just me today,
2:57
and talk about it because I am going to
2:59
go through this book in a book club. And
3:02
I would really love it if you joined me for a couple
3:04
of reasons. I'm going to put a lot of effort into this
3:06
book. I love it so much. But
3:08
also, I'm looking at this
3:10
book through a different lens. And
3:13
I've been reading it the last couple of weeks,
3:15
getting ready for May for us to do the
3:17
book club. And everything
3:19
is still true. Like everything in there I wrote
3:22
is still true. And everything in there is still
3:24
what I would say. I
3:26
have different life experiences now. And so I'm
3:28
seeing it through harder life experience than I
3:30
had ever had before. But
3:32
I'm still seeing it through the same lenses. The
3:36
lenses of hope, the lens of the gospel,
3:38
the lens of the truth that God is
3:40
actually for his kids. The
3:43
whole book is about, you know, it's called
3:45
Why Can't I Get It Together? And it's
3:47
about really examining the realities of our life.
3:50
Because if you don't see your life through
3:52
the correct lens, like what is your actual
3:54
reality? What is the correct lens? How
3:56
do we ponder that? Then you can feel like
3:58
you can't get it together. Literally, I
4:00
was on a walk sometime in the last couple months. And
4:03
I think I said out loud to myself, Jamie, get yourself
4:05
together. And then I
4:07
had to remind myself that my current reality is
4:10
really hard. My current reality is
4:12
not the same as my current reality was
4:16
two months ago, three months ago, four months
4:18
ago. Heck, honestly, my current reality isn't the
4:20
same as it was two weeks ago. And
4:23
so when you don't acknowledge what
4:25
your current reality is, it is
4:27
hard often to feel like you can get yourself together.
4:30
And why can't I get it together? Yes, I do
4:33
believe that we can look at our lives and say
4:35
even everything that's going on, I know I have purpose.
4:37
I know that I can have passion. I know that
4:39
I can have a plan. When we look at these
4:41
different areas of our lives, I
4:43
also want to be real honest
4:45
with you and transparent that there's
4:47
sometimes that we can't, we feel like we
4:50
can't get it together because we just have
4:52
a different expectation of what getting it together
4:54
actually looks like. And I've experienced
4:56
that a lot in this last season. I've had to
4:58
give myself a lot of grace. I've had to give
5:00
myself a lot of pep talks of,
5:03
Jamie, you are not going to feel
5:05
the same about your life right now as you did
5:07
three months ago because your life has changed a lot.
5:10
And so I would love to read this book with
5:12
you. It came out in February. You can get it
5:14
anywhere you get books and
5:16
then come join our book club. So book club
5:19
for Jamie Ivy has been going on for a while,
5:21
but we're going to do it. Anyone that joins right
5:23
now, it'll be free to go through my book. Why
5:25
can't I get together? I don't want that to stop
5:27
you. And then obviously I hope you stick around because
5:29
book clubs are awesome and you should join my book
5:32
club. So if you go
5:34
to Jamie ivy.com/book club, you can join our
5:36
book club. I would also
5:38
love it if you already have the book or
5:40
if you read the book or if you buy
5:42
the book, if you share it on Instagram or
5:44
Facebook or Twitter, it's X now. We
5:47
tag me because I would love to actually
5:49
repost what you share and see that
5:51
you're reading it. Our book
5:53
club starts the week of May 13th. We're
5:56
going to read it together. I'm going
5:59
to have live calls to discuss. about
6:01
what you guys lack of resources. Lots
6:03
of amazing resources like you're going to
6:05
want this. All. These resources that
6:07
we've developed for you guys and you begin
6:09
to j have it accomplice. Book Club You
6:11
can join their your part of this but
6:13
I remember in the commerce his my hand
6:15
with Tony when I talked about life kind
6:18
of Celtic a rollercoaster and I was like
6:20
oh I wrote about this and in fact
6:22
I have had entire chapter of the book
6:24
called Adjusted Separate Thirteen It's all about the
6:26
rollercoaster. I'm going to read a little bit
6:28
for you. I. Wrote
6:30
this, I'm confident you already know this, and
6:32
that is because you're breathing, you're living. And
6:35
anyone who has lived for more than a
6:37
decade is fully aware of life's complexities. Pondering.
6:40
Your current reality will look different
6:42
throughout your lifetime. As your life
6:44
stage, family, career, location, body and
6:47
responsibility change So will your reality.
6:49
And. As your reality changes, you may find
6:51
yourself feeling like you're back at square one
6:54
of getting it together when you thought you
6:56
had already made so much progress. You guys,
6:58
I'm a stepper here. I. Have felt
7:00
that over these last three months I have felt
7:02
like wow, I just took a hundred steps backwards.
7:04
I can listen to say this in the but
7:07
there's so many things in our lives that we
7:09
have zero control over. Will you get a job
7:11
you just interviewed for? Who knows. I'm sure you're
7:13
super qualified and showed a very prepared for the
7:15
interview but in the end you don't have control
7:17
over the outcome. Will. Your friend respond
7:19
well and reciprocate your kindness. Who knows? you
7:21
can be kind and inclusive that you don't
7:24
have control over how others will react. Will.
7:26
Your marriage be without major conflict this year.
7:29
You can work hard on yourself, your relationship
7:31
and your communication, and you conserve your spouse
7:33
well that you don't know what difficulty the
7:35
two of you might have to face together.
7:38
We. Experience moments that trigger most as you
7:40
thought you had dealt with. For sure, you
7:43
don't work on those emotions, bring got into
7:45
the journey and develop monsters and prayers to
7:47
defeat them. and yet you don't have full
7:49
control over when those memories will arise. Will.
7:52
Your baby born healthy, with no deformities
7:54
or health issues. You. Can take care
7:57
of your body and baby during pregnancy and
7:59
you will still had zero control over this.
8:01
We. Want to have control? We.
8:04
Want to know what's coming? but we can't
8:06
We can't control the direction or the speed
8:08
of the rollercoaster, but we can control where
8:10
eyes are fix as we ride. we can
8:13
fix our eyes on our good father who
8:15
goes the for us and we don't need
8:17
to fear. We. Can fix our
8:19
eyes on the God who leads us into
8:21
righteousness and restores our souls. We can fix
8:23
our eyes on his treats. Follow. His
8:25
word listened to the spirit and
8:28
grab his hand and keep walking
8:30
together. You. Gotta love that part
8:32
from the book because I feel like I'm living
8:34
that right now and this rollercoaster. And
8:36
what's true is that life is hard but
8:39
yet we do have some tools at our
8:41
disposal. We really do have some things that
8:43
can help us and so I would love
8:45
it. If you read this book with us

12:13
Okay, Guys, I promise you on the show
12:15
with Tony that I would succeed out some
12:17
books that I have been reading this year.
12:20
so I love to read books. You guys
12:22
know this because I talk about books that
12:24
I'd love to read. I read books of
12:26
people that I'm interviewing. And
12:28
I love sharing them with you! So
12:30
I've read. Quite. A few books
12:32
the spurs year and I haven't really told
12:34
you about any of them, but. If
12:37
you don't mind I'm gonna tell ya son. So
12:39
all these books are going to be in the
12:41
shown as if your gym habitat com We can
12:43
find the podcast page all the links are there
12:45
and tissue my something so. I'm going to.
12:48
Read. The Books and then tell you a little
12:50
bit about them. Okay, the very first book I
12:52
read this year was called the Younger Next Year
12:54
for Women by Chris Crowley and this is actually
12:56
the book that really made me stop and think
12:58
about Signature My Body. I'm forty six Now it's
13:00
and Forty Six on Monday. And this
13:02
book actually made me think about. What?
13:05
Do I want to be? And. Eighty years. There.
13:08
Were some parts of this book that I kind of that sort of
13:10
years ago? Okay, whatever. But it was really good
13:12
for me specifically with strength training. And I'll
13:14
tell you I don't think I told this an
13:16
app said twenty was on his. I'll tell
13:18
you now is I made a decision Will
13:20
Now I'm thinking I'm it's hold it there. But
13:23
anyhow if I told that you'll hear twice.
13:25
if not you ago. I made a
13:27
decision after reading this book younger next year
13:29
at the beginning of January that I wanted
13:31
to get stronger. Hey, you know I love
13:33
to walk. In fact, I'm gonna walk a
13:35
full marathon in December. I'm the talks about
13:38
that. The Minutes: I love walking in my
13:40
neighborhood. It is. Not. Just for
13:42
physical activity. Although it is, it's mental emotional, it's
13:44
is being outside. I love it so much so
13:46
I do a lot of walking but when I
13:48
don't use any strength training and so I read
13:50
this book and I really just dedicated this year
13:52
than I was gonna get stronger and I have
13:54
been ago to the jan I lift weights I
13:56
feel so good. My. Friend
13:59
Elisa Keaton Awesome! Video Sometimes that means
14:01
doing weights as it's been really great
14:03
and during the season when Aaron was
14:05
gone I remember I was on a
14:07
walk and I was just praying and.
14:11
Every once in while like Santa, make myself
14:13
go on a walk without any headphones And
14:15
that's actually hard for me because I'd love
14:17
to listen to books when I walk. but
14:19
I was out. there was nothing which forces
14:21
me to kind of be with my thoughts
14:23
and time praying. And I remember it's as
14:25
if I heard I was thinking about strength
14:27
training are think about be in the weight
14:29
room. I was thinking about getting stronger this
14:31
year and twenty twenty four and it's as
14:33
if I heard I did not hear God's
14:35
voice dislike I heard him impress on my
14:37
soul. Use Thought Jamie that you were going
14:39
to get stronger in the weight room. But.
14:41
I'm actually making you stronger
14:44
through your life circumstances and
14:46
I'll never forget that because.
14:49
That is what's happening is God
14:51
is making me a stronger woman
14:53
and. I. Thought I was gonna get
14:55
stronger in the weight room which I am
14:58
as well, but that was really really sweet
15:00
for me. So then I read after that
15:02
I finish on Mark Homers but practice in
15:04
the way. Highly recommend. Highly highly highly recommend
15:06
this. But then I read Twenty Seven Summers
15:09
by Ronald Olivier and he's actually was a
15:11
guest on the podcast. you might have heard
15:13
him earlier in the year he spent twenty
15:15
seven years incarcerated am in this of really
15:17
good but and then are book club read
15:20
for it. January was called the other year
15:22
fiery Afraid of fiction book and it sounds
15:24
very. Morbid. but exit really enjoyed it.
15:26
It is a mother and she's at
15:28
the beach with her daughter and. The.
15:30
Book takes on to Narratives Wine where
15:33
her daughter is out swimming in the
15:35
ocean and she accidentally grounds and then
15:37
the other one is where her daughter
15:39
doesn't and it's least two roads that
15:41
she walks and I found I really
15:43
really liked him. After
15:45
that I was into the Night is Normal by
15:47
Lisa Brit totally. I love a brisk. I.
15:50
Love Elisa. She's been on a podcast
15:53
many times is called the Night is
15:55
Normal a guide to spiritual pain. And
15:57
there's this concept. I the idea that.
16:00
Fear the night and we fear that pain that we
16:02
might walk through Annalisa same hey, it's normal and we
16:04
actually can learn from it. And man I might even
16:06
when I go back and read that on the other
16:08
side of what are they walk through now. Then.
16:11
I read the kingdom, the power and the glory. American.
16:16
Evangelicals in an age of extremism.
16:18
By ten Alberta it's a big
16:20
read. It it's a very. Interesting
16:22
book Variance a book. I really liked him.
16:25
And then these are the books I read when and
16:27
was gone. I started with the Screwtape Letters by Cs.
16:29
Lewis. I'd never read that book before. I listened to
16:32
the book what Happened To You by Bruce Perry and
16:34
Oprah Winfrey. I had listened to it before and I
16:36
highly recommend you listen to it. Such a great
16:38
but. I read Mending
16:40
a Shattered Heart by Stephanie Carnes.
16:42
I read Dominion How the Christian
16:45
Revolution remade the World by Tom
16:47
Holland Actually, It's. He's a historian.
16:49
A very big, very good. Lots of great stuff
16:51
in here. If you love history, you're gonna love
16:53
The Spot. I read about it keeps a score
16:56
by vessels and a Coke. I've been wanting to
16:58
read a book for years and years and years.
17:00
and I finally did it. I read the Rag
17:02
a muffin gospel by Burning Manning in. This is
17:05
my first Brennan Many book is the first time
17:07
I read The Spot and it was so good.
17:09
I underline so much stuff in this book. Highly
17:11
recommend that. but it's a book that I could
17:14
see myself reading every year. I. Read:
17:16
intimate deception healing the wounds of sexual
17:18
betrayal by Sherry Capper. I read your
17:20
sexually addicted spouse how partners can cope.
17:23
And. Your by Barbara Stephens I
17:25
read Moving Beyond Betrayal. Defy.
17:28
The step boundary solution for partners
17:30
have sex Addicts by Vicky Tidwell
17:32
Palmer. I enjoyed all three of
17:34
those books. They had a lot of helpful
17:37
information for me of where I am on
17:39
this journey. Not all that was helpful for
17:41
me, but I can take what I can
17:43
learn from it and use it. I did
17:45
not read I'm Good Boundaries goodbye of our
17:47
to read that by Lisa Tucker's but if
17:49
you're looking for boundary book that's really really
17:51
good. I've actually never read the book Boundaries
17:53
by Doctor Henry Cloud and Doctor John Towns
17:55
and it's all my less. I have a
17:57
d I want to read it but it's
17:59
so. Good, but that moving beyond betrayal.
18:01
The five seventy solution was really good as
18:04
well. And then we read. Tell
18:06
me more stories about the twelve hardest things
18:08
are Morning By Kelly Core Again, that was
18:10
our book club read and I loved that
18:12
so much. Then. I read if I don't
18:15
laugh or cry. By. Molly Stillman and Molly's
18:17
Come On the So Soon impacts the interviewed
18:19
here in person and are book is so
18:21
good. And then the last two books that
18:23
I have read where it wasn't roaring, it
18:25
was Weeping by Lisa Joy Acre and She's
18:27
also coming on the So Soon and that
18:30
book will be one of the best books
18:32
I've read all year. And then I read
18:34
Where the Light Fell by Philip Yancey He
18:36
love that was crazy. I've never read anything
18:38
by Philippine Sea before. I have two books
18:40
of his that I'm dying to open. I'm
18:42
never whenever I have an accent, but I
18:45
really enjoyed his memoir. And then the
18:47
last book that I have finished so
18:49
far was on Getting Out Of Bed
18:51
The Burden and Gift of Living by
18:53
Alan Noble And if you know any
18:55
wine he is experience seen, depression and
18:58
suicide Id a sin. This is a
19:00
teeny tiny bought and it was. I
19:02
really really really enjoyed it and thought
19:04
it was super helpful. Right now I'm
19:06
currently reading the Covenant of Water which.
19:09
Is a million and one hundred thousand
19:11
pages of. It's so. And I'm also
19:13
reading as long as the lemon trees
19:15
grow and I wanted to tell ya
19:17
those books and I know that was
19:19
a lot. But. I
19:21
wanted to tell you that when Aaron was gone. A
19:24
I read a lot a great bucks last couple weeks.
19:26
just like. Molly's. Book and Kelly
19:28
Gorgons bug and we still Baker's Bug
19:30
and Philippines His books. Those memoir type
19:33
books are handsome. My favorite other books
19:35
to read ever Am. But.
19:38
I also read some hard books on boundaries
19:40
and addicts sand and co dependency. And if
19:42
you find yourself in a situation where you
19:45
can relate to what I'm going through, I
19:47
would recommend all of those books I read
19:49
and if you've recommendations for me, I'll take
19:52
them as well. Have more books on
19:54
myself that I'm that I'm dying to get
19:56
to. One. Of
19:58
the things that I mention a lot. Friday's show
20:00
is how helpful the stories that have heard
20:02
on the happy are have been for me
20:04
on this journey than I'm on right now
20:06
and I think even when I was reading
20:09
the books and hours reading it was really
20:11
helpful for me to feel less alone in
20:13
my journey and. I've had
20:15
a handful of people reach out to me
20:17
that I personally know and just say you're
20:19
walking a road, have already walked and I
20:21
just didn't know it and what? What? I'm
20:23
learning a lot. Right now is
20:25
how mean a couple things. And
20:29
I always said this and I feel even more
20:31
now is that this No one gets through life
20:33
without. Getting. Hurt and having
20:35
wounds and scars and gosh, I
20:37
wish it was different. I really
20:39
do wish that it was different
20:41
and yet I cannot find a
20:43
way around it been any different.
20:46
I have a friend her name
20:48
is Nancy and she text me
20:50
scripture almost every day and. It's.
20:53
Sense of a lifeline for me and last
20:55
week. In fact, last Friday she texted me
20:57
it's share my twenty eleven to thirteen it's
20:59
on the message translation I'm gonna read to
21:01
Vs Exit she's Texan me recently. Different.
21:04
Says I'll show up and take care of you
21:06
as I promised and bring you back home. I
21:08
know what I'm doing. Have it all planned out.
21:10
Plans to take care of you, not abandon you
21:13
planes to give you the future you hope for
21:15
When you call on me, when you come and
21:17
pray to me I'll listen. When you com looking
21:19
for me, you'll find me. Yes, when you get
21:21
serious about finding me and when it more than
21:23
anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed.
21:26
God Shukri, I'll turn things around for. You.
21:29
And. Then the message that she actually set
21:31
me today when I'm recording this on Sunday.
21:33
As as this and this is limitations Three,
21:35
twenty eight to thirty three in the message
21:38
Translation is as when life is heavy and
21:40
hard to take. Go off by yourself, into
21:42
the silence, bow and prayer. Don't ask questions,
21:44
wait for hope to appear. Don't. Run
21:47
from trouble. Take it for face. The
21:49
worst is never the worst. Why? Because
21:51
the master won't ever walk out and
21:54
fail to return. If he works severely,
21:56
he'll also work tenderly. Is stockpiles of
21:58
loyal love are immense. You take no
22:01
pleasure in making my heart and throw
22:03
in roadblocks and the way. Oh,
22:06
I love that last part. He takes no
22:08
pleasure in making my parts in thoroughly roadblocks
22:10
and the way that's limitations. Three, Twenty eight
22:12
to Thirty three. So helpful as she is
22:14
that me scripts are almost every single day
22:16
is less so kind of. Now.
22:19
Another thing that happened when and was gone
22:22
would send me music to recommend that I
22:24
listened to and I was so grateful for
22:26
that ah that my friend Lindsay sent me
22:28
a play less that I said listen to
22:30
and I also made a playlist of myself.
22:32
My playlist is called Heart is Days of
22:35
My Life. There it is, I'm There's a
22:37
couple of songs I want to tell you
22:39
about that if you you just go adam
22:41
tier lists unless I'm just gonna tell you
22:43
these songs are amazing. One.
22:46
Of them Actually my friend Tony sent this to me.
22:48
It's from Anna Gold and and Carry Job and it's
22:50
called take it to Jesus. Oh my
22:52
word it is so
22:54
good. I mean. So.
22:57
Good and a goal. That and carry job
23:00
take it to Jesus' birth Liger was new
23:02
album. Eight has been on repeat like the
23:04
whole thing. I love it so very much.
23:06
I really think she'll it carried me through
23:08
this time. Someone sent me the
23:11
song or Psalm Twenty Three which I told
23:13
you on Friday that's been really a have
23:15
club versed. A group of Vs have clung
23:17
to so much in the last three months
23:20
and it's a Silver Conversions called Psalm Twenty
23:22
Three. Love it so very much. Taher
23:24
has an album. I think it's self titled Pay A
23:27
T A Y A It's been out for a while
23:29
because I have been listening to it on repeat for
23:31
ever. But. A couple of their
23:33
songs have really really been an impactful
23:35
to me. I told you about Savannah
23:37
song last week. Brute Brutal Miracle, Abby
23:39
Seller I don't know this is either.
23:41
She has a song called In Between
23:43
and I loved it so much. There's
23:45
a song called I Speak Jesus I
23:47
love the version that pass and put
23:50
out of here in Nc more and
23:52
my friends yeah knesset me the song
23:54
from Bethel Music called Arrows I Will
23:56
be with You Oh my gosh it
23:58
is so good. And then. Three
24:00
more guys I'm sorry And then Good Plans
24:02
is a song from Red Rocks Were Ships
24:04
again. I'd given you a hundred bucks a
24:06
one hundred songs. If you're like Jimmy I
24:09
want all these their on. My. Website:
24:11
saymaybe.com It'll be so Notes:
24:13
Go find it. It.
24:15
Is absurd. Six Sixty Eight you
24:17
will find it all their and
24:19
then Juncker era. He. Oh
24:21
my gosh. He has an
24:23
album called Ordinary Ways. If you
24:25
have not listened to this album
24:28
by John Guerrero it is so
24:30
amazing. There's a song called. The.
24:32
Lord will provide that has just.
24:35
Carried. Me. I mean literally carried me.
24:37
There's another song that he does called
24:39
the how Long and the courses. How
24:42
long, How long will the Way be
24:44
this heavy. How long? How long?
24:46
Can we then to we break because the
24:48
rain is it good till it's falling and
24:50
your grace isn't good till it's spent. How
24:52
long? How long? Oh.
24:55
My gosh, it is so good.
24:57
A. Is as I've trusted
24:59
in your mercy. For your mercy I will wait as a
25:01
lift my boy. See. You, oh Lord would you increase
25:03
my faith? I have trusted in your
25:05
mercy. For your mercy I will wait as
25:08
I lift my voice you oh lord would
25:10
you increase my face So very good. So
25:12
I just really would play the songs on
25:14
repeat and I would me. I made a
25:17
whole album. There. Were a bunch of
25:19
songs and for Maverick City a brain and
25:21
legs gratitude was in there. I went old
25:23
school and got a couple rich small and
25:25
songs and they just became. Really?
25:27
A gift to me. Really a gift
25:30
that I could cry out my heart
25:32
to the Lord through song, which is
25:34
always been that way for me. I
25:36
always really enjoyed worship and really really
25:38
feel. Close to Lord in worship as others

and really really gets me. Every

Ashley said a lover's home. You
26:35
heard me talk about walking the marathon
26:37
and this is still happening. And. I.
26:41
Am going to predict that when I
26:43
get to why and I crossed the
26:46
line on twenty six miles. At
26:49
the end of Twenty Twenty Four. It's
26:51
been a mean a little bit more
26:53
to me than I ever imagined it
26:55
would. I could have never imagined my
26:57
year. Looking. As it looks,
27:00
And. For me to train for
27:03
something. And. Then finish it.
27:05
This year is going to be a
27:07
major accomplishment for me. And
27:09
it was gonna be a major accomplishment.
27:11
no matter what. It just feels a
27:13
little different now and so. If
27:16
you deny here of the original
27:18
episode with my friend Elisa Keaton.
27:21
Woodland. Get Here! It came out in
27:23
January of this year and on that
27:25
episode Elisa in I share about how
27:27
we ended up wanting to train for
27:29
a marathon. To walk a marathon. Some
27:32
knock and a recap that here. Go
27:34
back and listen to it because number
27:36
One Elisa is amazing and I just
27:38
think you'll really really. Enjoyed. That
27:40
episode. So. I have partnered along
27:42
with a bunch of other women. We have
27:45
partnered with Revelation Wellness and we are be
27:47
a part of the Love Paste race. Love.
27:50
Pace because we want to move at the
27:52
pace of Love. Ah, I believe we're all
27:54
walking at all. The one of the gals
27:56
might be running, but we've all committed either.
27:58
do a half marathon were for marathon. I'm
28:01
going to try to do this. I'll be
28:03
honest with you, I'm deathly one hundred percent.
28:05
During the fall and Hawaii in December, I've
28:07
already registered for it, and I'm considering doing
28:09
the half. In. October in
28:12
Long Beach, California, so that's a consideration
28:14
for me. I have not dedicated myself
28:16
to that Jesse yet, but we're training
28:18
for this and it's There's several of
28:21
us that are doing this. Elisa Keaton
28:23
and Basecamp Felicia Mason Haim or actually
28:25
minor Nika Maples Leaves, The Widow Nicole,
28:27
Eunice, Jamie Nato need to lay in
28:30
this. Several of those ladies you've heard
28:32
on the happy hour before and we're
28:34
all doing this and we would love
28:36
for you to join us. In fact,
28:39
right now if you go to Revelation
28:41
wellness.org. Slice Lpr that she has for
28:43
Love Pace Race You can sign up
28:45

28:47

28:56

28:58
us is going to be amazing
29:00
and then we actually start training!
29:02
In June. Run around the
29:04
corner you guys and you. Oh
29:06
I cannot wait to see how many of you are going
29:08
to do this with us because I'm giddy about it. In
29:11
fact, I think it'll go down. As
29:13
the best thing I do this year. I'm. Just
29:15
predicting that. I'm just predicting that training
29:17
and completing it twenty six miles in
29:20
the hardest year of my life will
29:22
go down as the best thing. Of
29:25
this year. I'm just saying in. One.
29:27
Of the things that my cancer said to
29:29
me. Recently we were
29:31
have been one of our professors many times
29:33
and and Kurt was lady net and he
29:36
talks about weightlifting and I've already talked about
29:38
weightlifting. I went to be stronger and he
29:40
said when you lift those weights and you
29:42
get more and more every time you are
29:44
telling your brain and your body that you
29:46
can do hard things. And.
29:49
I'm just here to tell you guys that
29:51
I am in the Mets. Ominous.
29:54
Isn't else. And. There's. A
29:56
mouse in my studio? Oh my Word
29:59
on. I can't. I
30:01
can't I can't I can't. Oh
30:03
my gosh, where is a mouth coming from?
30:05
Oh my Word. Oh my Word. I. Am.
30:09
A nurse missile recording. We. Clearly
30:11
have a mouse problem and I'm
30:13
dying. I can night. Work.
30:16
Under these environments. Dine.
30:19
Oh. My gosh, What I do. Consider my
30:22
own. It. So guys, if
30:24
you two are having a hard time this
30:26
year, I'm not saying a marathon can solve
30:28
your problems by any means. I'm not even
30:30
we. You know what? I actually will say
30:32
that moving your body will have your problems.
30:34
I'm just gonna gonna let me say it.
30:36
I'm not a doctor. I'm not a trainer.
30:38
but I really believe that. Like.
30:40
I really believe that moving
30:42
our bodies. It changes
30:44
something and ass and and I believe that because
30:47
I am experience in it be of read about
30:49
it and listen to it and Elisa is my
30:51
number one chile or about that. So. You
30:53
know? I guess I would love for you just to
30:55
think about it. Just think about it. Just dream about
30:57
it. I mean if nothing else, you're like
31:00
I could go to Hawaii or Long Beach. If
31:03
you're interested at all again will put
31:06
the link in the So knows where
31:08

31:20
focus. You guys. Like. It's
31:22
kind of cute. But. I'll
31:24
