3 stars purely for the production quality.I loved The Black Tapes. I gave up on Tannis after a couple of episodes because it was going nowhere. I found the structure of The Last Movie season 1 to be unoriginal. It's basically a gender swap version with MK standing in for Dr. Strands. Even their speech patterns were similar. The plot of season 1 was ok. The film that kill people who have seen it has been done before. I don't feel like this podcast add anything new or a fresh take to the genre.I also found the frequent connection to Tannis extremely annoying. Stop trying to make Tannis happen. I'm never giving that podcast another go. I already wasted several hours on it.At this point, I will either not bother with Rabbit or any other podcast by these creators or take a very long break until I forget all about these three shows.
I really enjoyed this podcast. I have now listened to all the podcasts by them and i wish there were more seasons of all the shows! They are just so interesting and they just draw me in!
Just can't get into it. I loved the black tapes podcast. Was hoping this would be as engaging. It started out a little slow, got better, but at episode 203 I feel like I'd be more excited watching grass grow in my backyard. It's just not that interesting anymore. Maybe after I've listened to all the other podcasts I have going on I'll come back to this one. This needs more energy and excitement. Everything just drags on now. Gotta go listen to something else.
The first season was a decent Tanis spinoff, but the second season was great. Season Two adds some new characters, and does a good job of piecing the investigation together, ultimately playing with some cool ideas.
It was an interesting concept and enjoyable story, but I'm not sure how well this style of story works in a limited run model. Edit: since leaving this review, there's been a season 2. So, yeah, it works much better now.
