Hey everyone, this is Adam Ellen Boss
0:09
from Nightlight Astrology. Happy Friday everybody. Today
0:12
we are going to revisit the entire
0:14
journey of this Mars -Pluto opposition because
0:16
although Mars and Pluto are opposing tomorrow,
0:18
this is actually the third time that
0:20
they have opposed one another. So
0:22
we're going to look back over the
0:24
last two oppositions leading up to this
0:26
one, including the Mars retrograde. And I'm
0:28
going to give you some tips for
0:30
tracking that entire cycle in light of
0:32
the opposition that's happening tomorrow, which is
0:34
the final sort of installment in the
0:36
Mars Pluto saga. I'm going to
0:39
give you five topics to meditate on
0:41
that can help you track the entirety of
0:43
the cycle, which can help us as
0:45
we connect with the events that are taking
0:47
place with the Mars Pluto opposition over
0:49
the weekend. So that is our
0:51
goal for today. Before we get into
0:53
it, remember to like and subscribe. If
0:56
astrology is a part of your
0:58
spiritual life, then make this channel a
1:00
part of your daily spiritual practice.
1:02
We love to be a part of
1:04
that element of your spiritual life.
1:06
You can find transcripts of any of
1:08
these daily talks on my website,
1:10
which is nightlightastrology .com. Right now
1:12
we are in enrollment season
1:14
for my next year one
1:16
program, Ancient Astrology for the
1:18
Modern Mystic, which begins... If
1:21
you go to the courses tab and click
1:23
on first year course, scroll down and you're
1:25
going to learn everything there is to know
1:27
about the program. At the end
1:30
of today's video tagged on to
1:32
the end of the talk is an
1:34
informational video about the program so
1:36
you can learn everything that it includes
1:38
in depth. So stick around
1:40
after I sign off today to hear more about
1:42
it. But at the bottom, you are
1:44
going to find the enrollment options. There
1:47
is an early bird sale that lasts
1:49
until May 15th. Take advantage of that.
1:51
It has both an upfront payment option
1:53
and a payment plan. And
1:55
then there's also need -based tuition. So if
1:57
you're someone who really wants to take
1:59
this program but you're living on a fixed
2:01
or limited income or you're on disability
2:04
or you're a single parent, whatever the case
2:06
might be, please check this out. Use
2:08
it. It is there for people who want
2:10
to study but can't afford the course
2:12
cost. We don't want people to
2:14
live outside of their means to study something
2:16
spiritual. So we've always had this option as
2:18
a way of making sure that astrology education
2:20
is more accessible for people. So
2:23
check that out. And then again, after
2:25
I sign off today, learn more about the
2:27
program. I'm really excited. We're starting this
2:29
new course late June as Uranus enters
2:31
Gemini and starts training Pluto, both in airsigns.
2:34
That is a fantastic transit,
2:36
along with Pluto's entrance into
2:38
Aquarius itself, both just phenomenal
2:40
for studying. Astrology under
2:42
so good good signature to
2:44
be expanding your own personal love
2:47
and knowledge of astrology or
2:49
maybe even developing a professional practice
2:51
We have almost four years
2:53
of curriculum at night lights. So
2:55
We you can go as
2:57
far as you want to on
2:59
your journey with us through
3:01
the school Anyway on that note,
3:03
let's turn our attention to
3:05
the real -time clock Here I
3:07
go so We
3:11
are here on April
3:13
25th. We're in tourist
3:15
season now. We've had
3:17
a very dynamic week thus
3:19
far and tomorrow we
3:21
will see Mars opposed Pluto. So
3:23
I'm going to advance this
3:26
by one day and you'll see
3:28
that tomorrow, April 26th, the opposition
3:30
is exact. This
3:33
opposition will really be in effect if
3:35
we give it a few more days. All
3:39
the way let's give it three degrees
3:42
of separation all the way until about
3:44
next weekend So you get a full
3:46
week of Mars separating from Pluto. That's
3:48
a fair range to say You know
3:50
within within this period of time
3:52
you may also notice the ongoing
3:54
effects of the transit Ancient astrologers
3:56
said that within three degrees applying
3:59
and separating was when the promised
4:01
events or karma so to
4:03
speak would blossom and appear Within
4:06
that range, it's a little mysterious the way
4:08
that I always compare the thing I always
4:10
compare it to is a full moon You
4:12
know on the morning of a full
4:14
moon. You may really feel
4:16
and notice the energy the
4:19
evening of the day after There's
4:21
a kind of range within
4:23
which astrological symbolism expresses itself in
4:25
linear time And it's a
4:27
little mysterious how that works,
4:29
but ranges are typically used
4:31
in all astrology for that reason
4:34
so Although the exact
4:36
opposition is tomorrow give it about
4:38
a week I would say
4:40
most likely you'll feel the most
4:42
intense form of the opposition
4:44
today tomorrow and Sunday I think
4:46
that's most common in my
4:48
experience But what
4:50
I want to do now
4:52
is I want to give you
4:54
some more advanced tools for
4:56
tracking This transit and the way
4:58
to do that is to look
5:00
at the entire cycle that
5:03
Mars and Pluto have been through
5:05
So what I'm going to
5:07
do is I'm going to back
5:09
this up to the beginning of
5:11
this dynamic, which came all
5:13
the way back in
5:15
the last months
5:17
of 2024. Notice
5:20
how far back
5:23
the two planets go when it
5:25
comes to their configuration with
5:27
one another. So I'm going to
5:29
take you through all of this and
5:31
then give you some tips for how to
5:33
use this information to track what's happening
5:35
tomorrow, because this is not the first time
5:37
that the two planets have opposed one
5:39
another. They've been through quite the process. In
5:42
ancient astrology, aspects work by
5:44
whole sign as well as
5:46
by degrees. So Mars and
5:49
Pluto technically begin opposing one
5:51
another in early September of
5:53
2024. That
5:55
early September is the time at which
5:57
Mars enters cancer and is therefore in
5:59
a whole sign opposition with Pluto
6:01
who's at the anoretic last 29th
6:03
degree of Capricorn. That's pretty
6:06
significant. Mars is
6:08
also in its fall in cancer, a
6:10
challenging place, a place that
6:12
also offers a lot of
6:14
healing for Mars -related themes and
6:16
Cancerian themes. We've talked
6:19
a lot about that on my channel over the
6:21
past months. Let's go forward
6:23
and bring this up to the
6:25
time that they first opposed while Mars
6:27
is in direct motion now I
6:29
want you to write these dates down
6:31
The reason it and this is
6:33
optional obviously I'm assigning homework, but
6:35
you get to choose if you
6:37
want to do it or not
6:40
so Mars opposes Pluto between
6:42
November 2nd and
6:44
3rd of 2024
6:47
At that time the two planets are
6:49
opposed in cancer and Capricorn and both
6:51
are at the 29th critical anerotic degree
6:53
That's a pretty powerful encounter for these
6:55
two planets and you may remember that
6:57
at the beginning of November But if
6:59
you don't remember what was going on
7:01
go back in your emails go back
7:03
in your text messages go back in
7:05
your you know the pictures in your
7:08
phone or your Instagram or Facebook or
7:10
Twitter posts or whatever it is or X or whatever they call
7:12
it now so the reason i
7:14
say that is because that's what i recommend
7:16
my students do when trying to track transits
7:18
from the past that maybe they don't have
7:20
the best memory for just go back and
7:22
look at some of the places where you
7:24
store your day to day thoughts and activities
7:26
and exchanges that's pretty good for social media
7:28
text messages emails. And you
7:31
may get then a hit for
7:33
what the critical mass of the
7:35
moment was by that i mean
7:37
what was changing. Mars
7:40
Pluto is a force of
7:42
change, the evolutionary force
7:44
of necessity, forcing death, forcing
7:47
rebirth, a kind
7:49
of creative, explosive, catalyzing, eruptive
7:51
quality to Mars and Pluto.
7:53
So what was that force
7:55
looking like around early November
7:57
for you? That is part
7:59
one. Now, the
8:01
reason I say write these things down
8:04
is because I'm also going to give you
8:06
five topics to meditate on. And
8:08
I want you to ask yourself the questions
8:10
or the looking at these meditation topics
8:12
around these dates. So that's why it's important
8:14
that you take a moment and just
8:16
jot these down and then do a little
8:18
memory work. I promise you, if you
8:20
do this with some care and intentionality, you're
8:22
going to learn a lot. This
8:24
is, you know, astrology as much as we want
8:27
it to be, just tell me, just tell me what
8:29
it means, tell me what happens. Astrology
8:31
is a process of
8:34
karma and evolution
8:36
occurring across cycles in
8:38
time. If you only
8:40
ever stay glued to the current moment
8:42
and what's happening right now, what
8:44
it means right now, you will miss
8:46
the larger arc. It would
8:48
be like saying, I just want to
8:50
see one episode in the middle of
8:52
the third season of Outlander, as I
8:54
showed that my wife and I watched.
8:57
You could see that and you'd be like, oh, I
8:59
have no idea what this is. It was a
9:01
good episode, but you will miss the entire story arc.
9:04
So do that work. It's worth it.
9:06
Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox.
9:08
So we continue on. Mars
9:10
enters Leo in early November and
9:13
we know that it took its
9:15
time and then Pluto entered Aquarius
9:17
around November 20th. Now they're configured
9:19
again by whole sign opposition. What
9:21
happens? Well, we know by
9:23
early September that Mars stations around
9:25
the sixth and turns retrograde and
9:28
then is heading back into
9:30
the degree -based opposition with
9:32
Pluto, which occurs At the
9:34
um, whoops here we go
9:36
right in the beginning of
9:38
the new year We're looking at
9:40
them around january 2nd into
9:42
the 3rd opposing while mars
9:44
is now retrograde So here
9:46
is the second period of
9:48
time early january Just ask
9:51
yourself what was happening in
9:53
early january in what way was
9:55
i changing in Where was
9:57
the evolutionary force of necessity
9:59
happening? What was being
10:01
catalyzed? What forces were erupting?
10:03
Where was I seeing the
10:05
need to transform or change
10:07
with some urgency? What power
10:09
struggles or conflicts was I
10:11
facing? And then you
10:14
can also look back to
10:16
November early November and say
10:18
when was that early November
10:20
encounter? Or what
10:22
was happening then and
10:24
how were these two periods
10:26
tied together? So again,
10:28
just noticing Now We're
10:31
gonna see Mars then retrograde into
10:33
cancer takes a long time in
10:35
the sign of cancer and Of course,
10:37
we've just had Mars leave
10:39
cancer at long last difficult Mars
10:42
retrograde honestly
10:44
Then Mars is gradually moving
10:46
forward through the month of March
10:48
and here we are in April and
10:50
it was on the 18th that
10:53
Mars switched back into Leo. So
10:55
now here we are for
10:57
Saturday, April 26th, where they
11:00
collide one final time. So
11:03
now we're talking about late April, early
11:06
January, and early November
11:08
as three points in time
11:10
connected archetypally and thematically
11:12
to the entirety of the
11:15
Mars retrograde process. you
11:17
could look at two sets of
11:20
houses you could look at the
11:22
leo aquarius set of houses in
11:24
your birth chart you could also
11:26
look at the cancer capricorn houses
11:28
though i think that for the
11:30
sake of this weekend you're
11:32
probably gonna get more out
11:34
of the leo aquarius access
11:36
and that is what i
11:38
covered in the horoscopes on
11:40
my live stream yesterday so. Noting
11:45
these things, here are five
11:47
topics to meditate on. These
11:49
are questions that I would
11:52
ask in relation to that early
11:54
November, early January, and
11:56
now late April trifecta of
11:58
Mars' Pluto oppositions. The
12:00
first would be family karma and
12:02
parental karma. With Mars in Cancer and
12:04
Mars in Leo, you have the
12:07
signs of the Moon and the Sun.
12:09
These signs, among other things, can
12:11
refer to mothers and fathers. They
12:14
can refer to matriarchs and
12:16
patriarchs. They can refer to family
12:18
karma, broadly speaking, parental karma,
12:20
broadly speaking. So
12:23
in what ways, along the
12:25
lines of these three
12:27
occurrences, have you been noticing
12:29
or actively working to change
12:31
your family karma? What ways
12:34
have you been noticing family
12:36
karma playing out? By family
12:38
karma, what I mean are the relationships with
12:40
your family members, maybe some
12:42
of the hurts or
12:44
wounds that we,
12:47
almost all of us have some that
12:49
come from how we were raised. And
12:51
usually it's a, for most of
12:53
us, at least it's a mix of
12:55
good and bad. And then there's often
12:57
questions for people who have kids of their
12:59
own. with respect to how you're
13:02
parenting, what you're passing on, what you're actively
13:04
working to change within your family lineage. And
13:06
you can do that work, obviously, whether
13:08
you have kids or not, but sometimes
13:10
it becomes very vivid sometimes when you
13:12
have parenting responsibilities of your own. So
13:16
family karma, parental karma would,
13:18
broadly speaking, be
13:20
one major way of tracing
13:22
the arc of those three
13:24
oppositions, early November, early January, now
13:27
late April. Number
13:29
two, a
13:31
process of martial revision
13:34
or setbacks. So martial
13:36
revision means anything that you
13:38
are revising with respect to
13:40
the topics that Mars rules.
13:43
So let's say there have
13:45
been revisions with how you
13:47
are working with Mars on
13:49
a psychological level, let's say.
13:51
Anger, willpower, frustration, assertiveness, directness,
13:53
boldness, courage, the facing of
13:55
fear, how you handle fear
13:57
and anxiety. How you
13:59
take action in the world in
14:02
what ways have you been asked
14:04
to revise something? I
14:06
think of a very basic way
14:08
for me That I've been seeing
14:10
this play out in terms of
14:12
the training Regiment that I've been
14:15
going through Walmart's retrograde Which is
14:17
not surprisingly wrapping up my coaches
14:19
having me wrap up with this
14:21
phase as the retrogrades concluding And
14:23
the last Mars opposition is taking
14:25
place because the process began when
14:27
the first two opposed in early
14:29
November. So a process
14:31
of revising my training program, my
14:34
macros, like everything. That's a
14:36
very simple mundane example, but it
14:38
tracks very easily for me
14:40
around the three oppositions. So
14:43
a Marshall revision could be how you're
14:46
exercising or the exercise or health
14:48
care regimen that you have insofar as
14:50
Mars represents things like You
14:52
know athletics and exercise and stuff
14:54
like that, but it can be
14:56
deep How do you handle anger?
14:58
How do you handle conflict? And
15:01
then there may be some
15:03
connection between Marshall revision like Getting
15:06
better at handling conflict and family
15:08
karma right so you can
15:10
end up tying any of these
15:12
together Setbacks would also be
15:14
where has your will your sense
15:16
of direction or ambition? felt
15:19
like it's been thwarted or blocked. I thought
15:21
I wanted to go in this direction, then
15:23
I faced some setbacks or some delays. Retrograde
15:26
can be
15:28
about dealing with setbacks,
15:30
delays, reversals of fortune, the plot
15:32
somehow getting flipped on its
15:34
head. So
15:36
track along early November, early January,
15:38
now late April, what
15:41
setbacks have you faced? What hurdles
15:43
came into your path that you
15:45
had to get over. Do you
15:47
see those changing now? Number
15:50
three, a refining
15:52
of will, anger, force, action, and courage. I
15:55
kind of mentioned this in number two,
15:57
but I find that Mars
15:59
retrogrades are fantastic
16:02
for becoming
16:04
more Aware of what works
16:06
and doesn't work when
16:08
it comes to the expression
16:11
of anger or or
16:13
action or force or will
16:15
Maybe I had to face some
16:17
fears. Maybe I had to develop more
16:19
courage around something Maybe I had
16:21
to to be patient rather
16:24
than impulsive Mars retrograde will
16:26
sometimes curb our appetite or
16:28
you know curb our enthusiasm
16:30
and say You need to
16:32
develop better restraint with respect to
16:34
your will your force your
16:37
actions in the world better discernment
16:39
know when to act and
16:41
when to wait So any way
16:43
in which you've just been
16:45
refining your blade the the Mars
16:47
blade. Let's call it Number
16:50
and again track that out
16:52
early November early January
16:54
now late April number four
16:56
dealing with frustration one of
16:58
the things that I I'll just use this
17:00
example again of the training regimen, that
17:02
a new training regimen I started under the
17:04
first Mars Pluto opposition that's now just
17:06
finishing under the final. Initially,
17:10
knowing that I was going
17:12
to be revising elements
17:14
of my program, I
17:16
felt like, oh, this
17:19
is going, this sort of, what do I want
17:22
to say? My expectations have
17:24
had to adapt, right?
17:27
And so that means that i'm frustrated
17:29
because i'm not getting what i wanted
17:31
or i'm not going where i wanted
17:33
because i'm changing approaches and strategies and
17:35
So when something
17:37
comes up that frustrates
17:39
you You can give up
17:42
you can quit or you can
17:44
persevere How we deal with frustrations
17:46
is maybe one of the
17:48
most obvious forms of I
17:50
guess what feels like cosmic testing that
17:52
i've ever seen in my practice
17:54
Very common when people have transiting Mars
17:56
hitting their or transiting Pluto hitting
17:59
their natal Mars for example That they'll
18:01
go through periods of time where
18:03
they just feel disempowered or they
18:05
feel frustrated or they feel blocked
18:07
and then It's a matter of
18:09
not getting angry not throwing an
18:11
existential tantrum and sort of dealing
18:13
with it coping with it developing
18:15
the staying power and the Perseverance
18:18
to work through something that's frustrating
18:20
you If we learn
18:22
to see the things that
18:24
frustrate us as opportunities to
18:26
refine, to grow, to
18:29
build character and patience, I think
18:31
it helps. It doesn't always
18:33
make anything easier, but I do
18:35
think it helps. So where has
18:37
there been a process like this
18:39
that I'm describing taking place? And
18:41
again, look back at these punctuation
18:44
marks early November, early
18:46
January, now late April. And
18:49
then five, which is something I focused
18:51
on this week in other episodes, what
18:53
needs to happen as a matter
18:55
of evolutionary necessity right now that
18:57
has been building and building and
18:59
building and developing and moving beneath
19:01
the surface through this whole period?
19:03
You could look back and just
19:05
say from November up until or
19:08
early November up until now, what
19:11
is what plates beneath the
19:13
surface are shifting and may
19:15
cause some. Psychic
19:17
earthquakes in my life, but
19:19
they need to happen the
19:21
status quo needs to be
19:24
disturbed new actions need to
19:26
be formed or taken new
19:28
initiatives or forcing a conversation that's
19:30
not easy or maybe
19:32
forcing isn't the right word
19:34
but Acting in ways that you know,
19:36
you have to it must happen
19:38
now. There's a sense
19:40
of the Hexagram
19:43
28 again, right critical mass The
19:46
ridge pole is sagging. If I don't do something, the
19:48
whole thing is going to fall apart. Act,
19:51
change, evolve, or die, right? It's got that,
19:53
like, not literally, but got that ominous
19:55
feeling behind it, like, you better do something.
19:59
And also, you know,
20:01
by this exact same token,
20:03
it's like, if
20:05
you were patient, if you were
20:08
careful, if you rode through the
20:10
whole process, could you be reaching
20:12
a critical breakthrough right now? The
20:14
other meaning of critical mass in the
20:16
Yi Qing that reminds me of this
20:18
transit is the idea that acting right
20:20
now as a matter
20:22
of necessity has a
20:25
powerful creative effect. And
20:27
you can't avoid this
20:30
moment. You have to sort of
20:32
step into it. So what
20:34
does that look like right now?
20:36
Where do you feel that kind
20:38
of pressure to grow? Let's call it that.
20:41
Now, I want to note just
20:43
because I think it's important
20:45
that people who consume astrology hear
20:47
this somewhat regularly from astrologers. Not
20:50
all transits hit for everyone. Right
20:52
now, in your chart, there could be
20:54
a Jupiter transit that is really stealing
20:56
the show. There could be
20:58
a Neptune transit that is way more
21:00
interesting and important than this Mars -Pluto
21:02
opposition, especially if it's not touching into
21:04
angular houses, if it's not connecting by
21:06
degree to planets in your chart. So
21:09
if all of this feels like, geez,
21:12
this feels big and sensational. I'm not
21:14
really experiencing much. I have two pieces
21:16
of advice. One, learn
21:18
astrology at a deeper level because when
21:20
you can track your transits with more
21:22
sophistication and understanding of where transits are
21:24
hitting in your natal chart by degree
21:26
and hitting planets by degree or angles,
21:29
you're going to know how much to
21:31
turn the volume up or down on
21:33
mundane forecasts you hear from people like
21:35
myself because you know exactly how strong
21:37
it really is in your natal chart. The
21:41
other thing...
21:43
Well, I
21:46
lost my camera. Let's try this again.
21:48
Whoops. Here we go. The
21:51
other thing that you're going to notice... other
21:53
piece of advice that I have, sorry, I
21:56
lost my train of thought because my camera
21:58
actually hit a button that turned my camera off.
22:02
So first of all, just if you
22:04
study astrology more, you're going to know
22:06
where transits hit, right? And then you
22:08
know how much to turn the volume
22:11
up or down on the Mars Pluto
22:13
oppositions or the Mars retrogrades or whatever
22:15
the case might be. But
22:18
the other thing that I think
22:20
is important to to
22:22
be aware of is just
22:25
that there's a When
22:27
you track astrology and you pay attention
22:29
to it You will often notice
22:31
the transits around you rather than happening
22:33
to you Especially if they're not
22:35
hitting in your natal chart You might
22:37
see a this transit is really
22:40
affecting my spouse or my sister or
22:42
it's really affecting my co -worker my
22:44
boss or I just saw it
22:46
happen in the workplace or a friend
22:48
of mine Even if something isn't
22:50
affecting us personally I think
22:52
that the opportunity to consciously
22:54
connect with the kind of
22:57
daily movements of these symbols
22:59
is a powerful form of meditation
23:01
and it will often reward you when
23:03
it's not hitting you personally in
23:05
terms of giving you just profound insight
23:07
by being able to see it
23:09
in what's happening around you. So I
23:11
like to say, I like to remind people of this
23:13
because sometimes you listen to a channel like this
23:15
and you think, God, there's all these huge transits happening
23:17
and some of them hit and some of them
23:19
miss. Well, this is Why? And this is also why
23:21
a nice little segue here that I recommend you
23:23
come come study with us because when you can
23:25
become your own astrologer it
23:27
gives you just a next
23:30
level to understanding and working
23:32
with everything. And if
23:34
that's just for you and your spiritual
23:36
practice there's just nothing more valuable in my
23:38
opinion for people who like astrology. On
23:41
a second level a lot
23:43
of people who develop these
23:45
skills like it or not are going to be Really
23:47
valuable people to read for others and
23:49
sometimes you don't want that you're
23:51
like, oh, I don't know but You
23:53
might have a gift, you know, and then
23:55
other times people like I just really want to use
23:58
this to help other people because I love the language and
24:00
I want to help people grow That's a
24:02
fantastic reason to come study with
24:04
us as well. So after I
24:06
sign off here check out the
24:08
the informational video that I've tagged
24:10
on and I will see you all
24:12
next week All right. Take it easy, everyone.
24:14
Bye. Hey, everyone. Thanks for sticking around.
24:16
I'm excited to tell you about our upcoming
24:18
program, Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic.
24:20
It is our first year course in Hellenistic
24:22
Astrology that begins at the end of
24:24
June. June 22nd is our starting date. I'm
24:26
going to take you over to the
24:28
course page to tell you more about the
24:30
program and what you will learn while
24:32
you are in it. So here
24:34
we go over to the Nightlight
24:36
Astrology website. You can find this
24:39
at nightlightastrology .com. Click on the
24:41
courses tab. Go to the first
24:43
year course. Now this program
24:45
is ideal for people who maybe have
24:47
a little bit of background already
24:49
in astrology. Maybe you've done some studying
24:51
on your own independently, taken some
24:53
courses or webinars and workshops, but you're
24:55
looking to deep in your understanding
24:57
of astrology and maybe Hellenistic astrology in
24:59
particular has been calling to you.
25:01
I'll tell you more about what Hellenistic
25:03
astrology is in a minute but on the first year
25:05
course page you're going to find everything that the course includes. I
25:09
want to make the structure of the course clear
25:11
first and then at the end I'm going to
25:13
tell you five reasons that I think anyone might
25:15
have for studying astrology and you can see if you
25:17
check any of those boxes. First
25:19
of all there are 30 classes on
25:21
the year. It's just a little
25:23
under a year -long program with 30
25:25
webinars. Every webinar is two to three
25:27
hours long, including a lively Q &A
25:29
and conversational section after we finished
25:31
our lesson for the day. Each
25:34
of those lessons I lead personally through
25:36
live webinars so you can attend those live.
25:38
If you want to follow along at
25:40
your own pace and your own time on
25:42
your own schedule, you can always look
25:44
at the recordings and take those in. And
25:46
I'm going to show you what the
25:48
class page looks like so you can see
25:50
how you can interact with the course as
25:52
uniquely and creatively as you want to.
25:54
But you can either attend the live webinars
25:56
or listen to the recordings or audio
25:58
or video. In between
26:01
major units of study within those
26:03
30 classes, we have separate classes
26:05
outside of the 30 classes that
26:07
are essentially tutoring sessions led by
26:09
our staff, our course directors. We
26:12
have three of them for our
26:14
first year program. Three tutors that
26:16
help me guide every single class
26:18
you're in and lead study sessions
26:20
and are also staffing an interactive
26:23
group forum discussion where you can
26:25
Ask questions, look at charts, practice
26:27
what you're learning with all of
26:29
your classmates and with tutors there
26:31
to help you. They'll always
26:33
answer questions within a business
26:35
day. So it's a really
26:38
well -staffed, well -structured
26:40
program. In between those
26:42
major units of study and the breakout sessions,
26:44
we also have guest speakers that come in
26:46
throughout the year that you get free access
26:48
to. The recordings are archived for you
26:50
in your class folders, so you're getting people
26:52
within our curriculum. You're also getting to visit with
26:54
some astrologers who are outside of the nightlight
26:56
school, but we really admire their work and so
26:58
we bring them in. You
27:01
also have a ton of bonus material
27:03
with every lesson we have recommended, quizzes,
27:06
study guides, optional reading.
27:08
And that allows people who are
27:10
really, really intense, deep, studious types
27:12
to go as far as you
27:15
want to with the material. While
27:17
other people who are maybe content
27:19
to take things in at just
27:21
taking in the classes, that's there
27:23
for you too. So you can
27:25
go as deeply as you want
27:27
to. The class. as
27:29
the year goes on, goes
27:31
through major units of study in
27:33
ancient Hellenistic astrology. So if
27:35
you're not familiar with ancient Hellenistic
27:37
astrology, this is the
27:39
earliest form of Horoscopic astrology.
27:42
This is where the astrology that
27:44
you've probably learned today comes
27:46
from originally, and that makes some
27:48
of its features unique. Like,
27:50
for example, ancient astrologers utilized whole
27:52
sign houses. We study why
27:54
they used whole sign houses, how
27:56
they used them, and
27:59
we study the why
28:01
behind really everything. Houses,
28:03
signs, planets, aspects,
28:05
dignities, essential and accidental
28:07
dignities, delineation approaches, how
28:09
do you read and predict within a
28:11
natal chart? all of those theoretical
28:13
areas of astrology, we not only learn
28:16
how to do, but we learn
28:18
the why behind it. And this is
28:20
what I think people find most
28:22
empowering about the course is that ancient
28:25
astrology really helps to give you
28:27
the rationale for everything so
28:29
that you have the insight available
28:31
to go off script. What
28:33
I mean by that is like,
28:35
let's say you're learning about
28:37
a sign, Aries or Taurus or
28:39
Gemini, you know, something like
28:41
that. Ancient astrology won't just
28:43
give you a list of the
28:45
adjectives or keywords or descriptions of
28:47
say a sign or a
28:50
planet. It will give you an
28:52
underlying philosophical explanation that then
28:54
allows you to extrapolate from it
28:56
the kinds of lists that
28:58
you read in textbooks. which
29:00
means you'll have an understanding of
29:02
why everything on a list in a
29:04
textbook is there in the first place.
29:06
And you'll also have the insight and
29:09
creativity available to add things to the
29:11
list that are a part of your
29:13
own unique intuition and contribution to astrology. And
29:16
this is what ancient astrologers wanted
29:18
students of astrology to learn, the why
29:20
behind everything. So
29:22
this is a class where even
29:24
though you're seeing things like planet
29:26
signs, houses, dignities, aspects, and you're like,
29:28
oh, I've already learned about those
29:30
things, not if you haven't studied
29:32
Hellenistic astrology, I don't mean to sound
29:34
condescending, but like truly most people's
29:37
experience coming through this program is
29:39
wow I had no idea all that
29:41
I didn't know about the roots
29:43
of everything that I've I've understood
29:45
thus far about astrology so it really
29:47
is about digging into the philosophical
29:49
core of why we do everything
29:51
and then you have greater intuitive and
29:54
creative capacity as an
29:56
astrological crafts craftsman or craftswoman
29:58
So anyway, that's a brief explanation
30:00
of why I think Hellenistic astrology
30:02
is important, not to mention that ancient
30:05
astrology was really focused on our
30:07
ability to accurately describe and predict things
30:09
in the realm of karma, fate,
30:11
and destiny, whereas modern astrology's hallmark and
30:13
strength is psychological depth. And so
30:15
when you put the two together in
30:17
our program, which is why it's
30:19
called ancient astrology for the modern mystic,
30:21
I think you have something really
30:23
special. So on that note, you
30:25
can see everything that we cover here. There's a
30:27
lot of video with some of our alumni you
30:29
can watch. Everything is there on the
30:31
page. Now, there are
30:33
five reasons that I want to touch
30:35
on briefly before I tell you about
30:38
your payment options and need -based tuition. These
30:40
are five reasons to study astrology, that if
30:42
you mark any of these boxes, especially if you
30:44
mark several of them, then I think it's
30:47
a good indication that you might be ideal for,
30:49
this program might be an ideal fit. So
30:51
the first one is If you
30:53
find that astrology has become a part
30:56
of your daily, weekly, monthly, yearly
30:58
spiritual practice, it is a part of
31:00
how you lead an inner life.
31:02
And there is nothing more empowering than deepening
31:04
your connection to that language because that puts
31:06
you more in the driver's seat. It's always
31:08
good to have astrologers that you rely on,
31:10
teachers that you listen to. get a
31:12
little objective perspective especially when you're looking at
31:14
your own chart through a reading but there's really
31:16
nothing more empowering than learning to speak the
31:19
language at a deeper level for yourself and if
31:21
that calls to you if you want. To
31:23
understand things and be able to speak more
31:25
confidently and clearly about this sacred language that
31:27
you love. And this is a great reason
31:29
to take a structured program. Number two
31:31
is that you feel called to read charts
31:33
for people. Look, not everyone who takes our programs
31:35
is on a professional track, but we have
31:37
four years worth of professional training programs at Nightlight
31:39
that will prepare you to read professionally for
31:41
others if that's the path that you're on. Maybe
31:43
you don't even know if you're on that
31:45
path, that's fine too. Many people take our programs
31:47
just for the sake of their own personal
31:49
enrichment and again to be kind of. more in
31:51
the driver's seat with respect to your astrological
31:54
journey. You have more of an
31:56
understanding. You can be more confident
31:58
in reading symbols and experiencing transits with
32:00
your own understanding that you've cultivated.
32:03
But sometimes people want to read for other people. This
32:05
will definitely set you up to do that. We
32:07
have a certification track where you can take exams at
32:09
the end of every year. They're optional. You don't have
32:11
to if you're not on that level of interest. Number
32:13
three, you have
32:15
done a lot of self -study. You've heard things
32:18
from here and there, but you're looking to bring
32:20
it all together. it is overwhelming
32:22
to study astrology on your
32:24
own so if you want organization
32:26
structure and coherence what you're
32:28
getting in this program is going
32:30
on fifteen years of training
32:32
astrologers fifteen years of developing curriculum
32:34
that is. Has
32:36
in mind the overwhelm that many people
32:39
experience and this truck this program is
32:41
structured your one your two your three
32:43
however far you want to go with
32:45
our curriculum to give you an organized
32:47
structured. coherent way of understanding
32:49
the history and language of astrology
32:51
from both ancient times to modern
32:54
times in all of the vastness
32:56
that the field includes. And
32:58
also, as we go, we want to give
33:00
you the confidence that you are a
33:02
part now of an astrological lineage. Astrology
33:04
has always been practitioner -based. Coming through
33:06
nightlight, you are going to have the opportunity
33:08
to feel aligned with a lineage. If
33:10
you like my work, if you feel aligned with the
33:12
way I speak the language, then this might be
33:15
a good reason to come study with us. Now,
33:17
if you're seeking the why behind things, if
33:19
you're like, yeah, that's interesting, I get it, I
33:21
understand, but why? Why signs?
33:23
What's the difference between a sign and
33:26
a house? Why do they ever come up
33:28
with a sign and a house? What's
33:30
the distinction philosophically? Why does Mars represent this?
33:32
Why does Mars in this sign represent
33:34
that? If you are someone who feels empowered
33:36
by understanding the why behind things, you
33:38
are going to love this program because that's
33:40
how I am as a teacher. That's
33:42
how I am as a person. And that's
33:44
what this program is really all about.
33:46
Number five, you are looking for astrological community.
33:48
Look, I think nightlight is unique in
33:51
terms of the kind of warmth, acceptance, safety,
33:53
and inclusiveness that our community
33:55
includes intellectually, spiritually. We
33:59
are really pride ourselves on being
34:01
a peaceful kind of family. I'm a cancer,
34:03
right? So it's kind of a family
34:05
oriented environment. So anyway, I will
34:07
end it there. If you check any of
34:09
those boxes, you may want to consider studying
34:11
with us. Now I'm going to take you
34:13
over to two things. I want to show
34:15
you the dashboard. So here
34:17
is the Thinkific page. You're going to join
34:19
this and On your dashboard, you're gonna find
34:22
any courses that you've enrolled in at Nightlight,
34:24
and there are many, so you may end
34:26
up being involved in multiple courses, and you'll
34:28
find that they're all there on your dashboard.
34:30
Click on one of them, and it will take you in. You're
34:33
gonna find that on the left -hand side,
34:35
there's orientation instructions, course information, class
34:37
links and calendar, all the technical stuff
34:39
you need to know when you join the
34:41
course, and then you're gonna find that
34:43
there's, when you go through the lessons, that
34:45
the lesson includes the video, the
34:48
audio, the slides, the transcripts, the
34:50
Q &A box text if you
34:52
couldn't make it live and see
34:54
what people were talking about, flashcards,
34:56
homework, a bonus PDF with all
34:58
sorts of additional recommended reading, bonus
35:00
videos, additional video links for
35:02
bonus material. So every single time that
35:04
you want to visit something within
35:07
the course, everything is nicely organized. So
35:09
you can see here, I'm going
35:11
to pause this before it starts going,
35:13
but you can embed the
35:15
video right there. It's embedded and you
35:17
can watch it. And then
35:19
if you wanted to, you could
35:21
also, right here, you
35:23
could also download the video and watch it
35:25
on your own device. And that's
35:27
same for the audio as well. And then
35:30
as you go, you'll see all of the
35:32
lessons are laid out. The study sessions are
35:34
also recorded if you can't make those live.
35:36
So everything is nicely arranged on the website
35:38
for you. And that makes it a course
35:40
that if you wanted to take three years
35:42
to accomplish, you could take three years to
35:44
accomplish. If you want to take it for
35:46
the sake of getting certified, you have the full
35:48
year plus an additional year to take the exam. So,
35:51
you know, two years total that we
35:53
give people if you're on a professional track,
35:55
but most people complete the program in
35:57
a year and a lot of people, over
35:59
50 % of our students go on to
36:01
our year two and then our year
36:03
three and horary programs as well. A final
36:06
thing I'm going to show you is
36:08
right here. You're going to find, here
36:10
is the enrollment options at the bottom
36:12
of the first year course page. Again,
36:14
this is at nightlightastrology .com and you're
36:16
going to click on the first year
36:18
course, go to the bottom. The early
36:20
bird payment saves you several hundred dollars
36:22
off the cost of the course. That's
36:25
available till May 15th. Early bird installment
36:27
plan saves you on the installment plan,
36:29
regular cost of the course. That's also
36:31
only available until May 15th. And then
36:33
need -based tuition. All of our programs include
36:35
a need -based option where we give
36:37
you a sliding scale and we say
36:39
you pick your monthly tuition number within
36:41
this sliding scale, which is greatly reduced
36:43
off the normal tuition price. That is
36:45
for people who are on a fixed
36:47
or limited income, receiving disabilities, single mom,
36:49
whatever the case might be. We
36:51
want to make sure that nobody's priced out of
36:53
studying astrology. So you don't have to feel any shame.
36:55
If that is you, if you need help, if
36:58
you want to take this, but you need to make
37:00
it work within a tight budget. We get it.
37:02
Times are tough right now. We don't think people should
37:04
be priced out of studying a sacred subject like
37:06
astrology. So we've been offering need -based pricing for 15
37:08
years. Nightlight is a
37:10
donation -based school. It started that way. We have
37:12
a sliding scale, so it's kind of like donation.
37:14
You get to choose your rate anyhow. So
37:17
if that's something that will help you, please
37:19
use it. Thank you for listening to this. I
37:21

37:23
