A "must-listen-to" podcast raising awareness on abusive relationships, and difficult topics. Talking through coping methods and how to get out of a situation you do not want to be in.
In 2020 as a new mum I discovered my husband-to-be had developed a cocaine addiction. I have spent the last three years battling through the family court and civil courts to keep my child and myself safe.
When I tell my story which sometimes may come across as flippant, I want to explain that this isn’t me downplaying my situation or anyone’s situation who is going through something similar, but it’s my way of bringing light into a time where there was little to none.
Full disclosure, I am not legally qualified. I have however spent a sh*t tone of money on legal advice over the years, scrolled immensely through Google, and watched ‘Legally Blonde’ far too many times. I believe my experiences and what I have learnt along the way will reach someone who needs to navigate the fight for themselves and their family.
We all look for a relatable story or situation in hard times, and within this podcast, I will include brave individuals who are willing to come forward to share their experiences.
I hope through this podcast I become a friend, and a place to go when you need to hear a story to make yours seem not as bad, and most importantly this increases your confidence when you can’t see an end.
