I have to start this report with some very sad and tragic news...

...they're making a Scarface remake.

I guess The Crow, Robocop, Highlander, Evil Dead, and Total Recall weren't enough - they had to cannibalize more memories of my youth.

Granted, Universal is saying that it won't be a direct remake of the '83 Scarface, which itself was a remake of the 1932 Scarface.  Instead, it's going to be a whole new take on the basic story of the rise and fall of a gangster...who just happens to have a scar on his face...which means that it opens it up.  So it could be a story about black gangsters, about Chinese gangsters...I mean, either way they'll probably still be played by Italians.  Ultimately my feeling about this is like Nas said..."no idea's original".
