So I'm just gonna jump right into it, because
0:02
we have carry Lake today. She's awesome.
0:04
She's been taking in the media to task
0:07
and we love to see it. And what's really cool is
0:09
that everywhere she goes she wears a Leavelier mike
0:11
that's attached to her and her husband films.
0:14
And the reason why this is so good is we get
0:16
to see the other side of these
0:18
conversations with the media, because what we
0:20
all know that the media likes to do is
0:22
they take things out of context. They
0:24
try to make you, you know, look bad.
0:27
They try to make it look like you said something
0:29
you didn't and they're certainly certainly
0:32
not going to show when you take
0:34
them to task, they're going to edit that part out. So
0:36
by doing this, we all get a full
0:39
insight and full look into one how
0:41
the media operates and then to how Carry
0:43
Lake can handle them. Listen to this. Hi,
0:47
Harry Hie, you
0:50
don't have a mask on anymore?
0:54
What we're six apart? Do you have a minute
0:56
to chat? Um? I'll do an interview as
0:58
long as it airs on CNN and plus still
1:01
exists. I didn't think so because the people don't
1:03
like what you guys are peddling, which is propaganda.
1:06
Thank you that hold are you? Are
1:09
you journalists? Well
1:11
you did better research than have these people. Um,
1:14
let's talk about election deniers. Here's
1:17
a hundred and fifty examples of Democrats
1:19
denying election results.
1:22
Oh wow, look at this. This is from
1:25
This is from Joe Biden's press
1:27
secretary. Reminder Brian
1:29
kemp stold the gubernatorial election from
1:31
Georgians and Stacy Abrams Democrats
1:34
saying that is that an election denier? This
1:36
was the real news yesterday that none of you wanted
1:38
to cover where eleven points up. You're
1:41
in a frenzied panic because
1:43
your chosen candidate is not winning.
1:46
You didn't want to cover this, so you had to run with
1:48
a completely garbage, bullshit story.
1:51
Shame on each and every one of you. Shame
1:53
on you. And it looks like that boldness will
1:55
be rewarded. She's up by as much as eleven
1:57
points in the general election against Katie
2:00
Oobs. It looks like she will win this
2:02
race. And Katie Hobbs won't even debate
2:04
her, which really speaks to what a coward
2:06
Katie Hobbs is, but also speaks
2:09
to Carry Lake as a candidate that her opponent
2:11
is so afraid of her that she
2:13
won't even go on stage and and be
2:15
on a stage with her. But what I like the most
2:17
about carry Lake, and what I respect the most
2:19
about her, is the fact that she resigned
2:22
from a cushy job. She resigned
2:24
from being a lead anchor on Phoenix's
2:27
Fox ten, where she worked for twenty
2:29
two years, because
2:32
she became disillusioned with
2:34
the media's coverage of COVID, because she felt
2:36
like the media was pushing propaganda.
2:39
And as someone who has obviously covered a lot of these
2:41
issues surrounding COVID very closely and
2:43
it's been a passion of mine, I really respect
2:45
that it takes a lot of guts to step away
2:47
from something that you're so good at that
2:49
she clearly loved. I truly believe she's running
2:52
for the right reasons. I truly believe that she will be a
2:54
disrupter and that she is fighting to change
2:56
the system. And that's what we need right now. When
2:58
we have a government, whether it's the our old government,
3:00
whether it's you know, state governments, and in so
3:02
many states, not here in Florida because we have Governor to
3:04
Santis, but in so
3:06
many aspects of government. We don't have leaders.
3:09
We don't have people who are bold, we don't
3:11
have people who are standing up for what is right. We
3:13
have too many cowards, and Carry Lake is not
3:15
one. I hope you love this conversation I
3:17
had with Carry Lake. I know I did Carry
3:30
Lakes an honor to have you on the show. You're
3:33
bold when we need more bold leaders. So
3:35
I just I respect and appreciate what you're
3:37
doing. So thank you. Oh my goodness,
3:39
well, thank you. I'm happy to be on with you,
3:41
and I'm a fan of yours. And we're just
3:44
out here doing what every
3:46
American who would be in my position
3:48
should do, fighting for the people. And I think
3:51
we're doing great because we have a movement and we're
3:53
up in the polls, and we're
3:55
just gonna keep working hard up until November
3:57
nine or November eight, and then beyond Carry.
4:00
I really, I deeply respect
4:02
your resigning from your job as a television acre.
4:04
During COVID, I took a lot of arrows for
4:06
not getting vaccinated and questioning lockdowns.
4:09
So what you said really spoke to
4:11
me, and I shared your frustration. Why
4:13
do you think so many elected officials and journalists
4:16
uncritically pushed lockdowns and vaccines.
4:19
That's a good question. I think fear.
4:21
You know, it's hard to stand out at a time
4:24
when when you see what people
4:26
who do stand out and speak against the
4:28
system or what's happening go through
4:30
when you see them being canceled, you know,
4:32
the their social media is taken away. Not that
4:34
that's a big deal, but they're they're embarrassed,
4:37
they're publicly humil humiliated,
4:39
um docks and destroyed.
4:42
And so I think a lot of people were afraid. Also,
4:45
we were uncertain times, and
4:47
people were afraid about losing money
4:49
and not having the ability to feed their family.
4:52
Um. And I think it's just scary
4:55
to be courageous. I mean, I was afraid to walk
4:57
away. I didn't know what was going to be on the other side.
4:59
I certainly never envisioned myself running for office
5:01
and having you know, this much success
5:03
in politics. I walked away
5:06
not knowing if I would be able to,
5:09
um, you know, feed my family. But God
5:11
is amazing and I threw my my life
5:14
into his hands and I knew it was the
5:16
right thing to do. And what's so cool
5:18
about it, least say is I didn't realize that I
5:21
would inspire other people with
5:23
my resignation, I really just put my
5:25
video out to let people know why I was gone,
5:27
so they didn't wonder where I went after covering
5:29
Arizona for twenty seven years. I didn't want them
5:32
saying what happened to carry like And
5:35
that video inspired so many
5:37
people to take bold action in their own
5:39
lives. And so that's what I'm most
5:41
proud of. You know, don't you mentioned? God? Is
5:43
that where your fearlessness comes from? Or where
5:45
does that fearlessness come from? Because you're right, it's it's
5:47
not easy to to be rave in today's
5:50
society. So where does that come from? For you?
5:52
For sure? God? But I think once you
5:54
do something big and bold like that
5:57
and you realize, oh my gosh, I survived that,
5:59
I'm still standing, And when
6:01
you are not motivated by money anymore.
6:04
For many months and years, I
6:06
think I stayed in that field because
6:08
of the money, And when all of a sudden you
6:10
walk away and you're like, I'm not motivated
6:12
by that anymore. You realize that
6:15
what we do in this life and
6:18
with the changes we make for the better,
6:20
are the ones that really are the currency.
6:23
When we get to our our meeting with
6:25
our maker. Um, what is
6:27
the real currency. It's not the money you had in your
6:29
bank. It's not the money you had in your four oh
6:32
one K or your savings. It's
6:34
not how big your house was. It is
6:36
what did you do to make life
6:39
better? What did you do to help people?
6:41
And I think once you get to that point, the
6:44
fearlessness is
6:46
is uh will happen? It
6:48
will come, And You're right, I'm not afraid
6:50
of anything. I just it's such a great
6:52
feeling. It's such a freeing feeling to not
6:55
have fear ruling over and
6:57
speaking of that, and we face a lot of issues
6:59
as a country, inflation, open borders,
7:01
which I know you've spoken very strongly against.
7:04
But we're also becoming a society
7:06
without a moral compass, you know, And we've got the left
7:08
pushing for a borsht up until the moment of birth,
7:11
mutilating children in the name of transgenderism.
7:13
How do we find that moral compass again
7:16
as a society. Well, I've said it
7:18
many times in my speeches I've delivered
7:20
since I got into this race, and you know
7:22
a year and a half ago. We have to bring
7:24
God back into our lives, into
7:26
our society, into our culture, we
7:29
pushed him out, and when
7:31
that happens, you become rudderless.
7:34
Our whole society has
7:36
been sheering for things that are immoral
7:39
and actually frowning upon things that are
7:41
moral and right and righteous, and
7:43
so we need to get things back. And I think there
7:45
is a spiritual battle underway right
7:47
now. I believe that, uh,
7:50
the moral folks out there
7:52
are winning this battle. People are waking up
7:54
and saying, wait a minute. I didn't realize
7:56
that they were teaching our kids that at school. I'm sending
7:58
my precious boy or press just girl off
8:00
to school, and they're trying to tell them
8:02
they can be a different gender. They're filling
8:05
their minds with poison when it comes
8:07
to racial hatred of others. They're
8:09
filling their minds with lies when it comes
8:11
to our country that we love so much,
8:13
that is such an exceptional, amazing country
8:15
that God had a hand in. And I believe
8:18
we really need to get back to God
8:20
and bringing God back in our lives. That will help.
8:23
And you know, I'm a I'm a big admirer
8:25
of Ronald Reagan. He was the president of my
8:27
youth and I love that
8:29
somebody sent me a sound bite or a quote
8:32
from him recently, and it was
8:34
basically that when he was president
8:36
and people brought questions
8:39
or issues to him, you know,
8:41
his staff, he said, never come to
8:43
me and tell me what the political ramifications
8:45
of an issue are, of a problem are. I
8:47
want to make all decisions based
8:49
on what's right and what's wrong. I
8:51
don't want to even think or consider what the political
8:54
ramifications are. And we need to get
8:56
back to that. So many people, when
8:58
they get into politics, how this desire
9:00
to climb the ladder of politics and
9:03
and keep moving up politically. We need
9:05
people who don't want to be in politics. In
9:07
politics, and I think that's what we're seeing right
9:09
now with a lot of these candidates,
9:12
real citizen politicians stepping
9:14
forward and jumping in, reluctant
9:16
politicians jumping in because
9:18
they realize that we have to push these life
9:21
for career politicians out.
9:24
They are the ones who are driving our country into
9:26
a ditch and destroying it. Well,
9:28
and I think you're going to be rewarded for that sort
9:30
of approach because it's obvious, and I
9:32
think Governor De Santis is going to be rewarded
9:34
for that sort of approach as well. Of both of you. Guys
9:37
being bold leaders, you know, not caring
9:39
about the polling, but but just saying and doing
9:41
what is right, which is what we need. So
9:43
I read that Time magazine piece on you, which I
9:45
was actually surprised it was really good. It wasn't really
9:47
a hit piece, so you know, they're there are a bunch
9:49
of lefties, but I thought it was really good about
9:52
you and what you talked about
9:54
as you said that you chose to run for governor because during
9:56
COVID we realized just how big of a
9:58
role governors have in our vives. What
10:01
should Republican governors be doing to
10:03
stand up against a federal government that
10:06
so many Americans fear right now, well,
10:08
we just have to remember our origins.
10:10
It was the states that created the federal government,
10:12
not the other way around. States have sovereignty,
10:15
and we've lost that because we've we've ceded
10:17
so much power and control to the federal government,
10:19
to these agencies that are run by
10:22
career bureaucrats who really
10:24
have no power over us, but we've handed
10:27
them our power. And once you give away that power,
10:29
you've got a fighting claw to get it back. So
10:32
you know, we're we're just going back to the Constitution
10:35
and you know, more federalist way
10:37
of operating, and that's what we need to do. And
10:39
we saw some good governors during COVID.
10:41
I was really impressed with the way Christie Noham handled
10:44
the situation. I'm impressed with
10:47
the Santis. But we have to remember
10:49
who crawled so we could walk, and that was President
10:51
Trump. He was the one who came
10:53
out and worked so hard. Like
10:55
you know, they said, it was a bull in a china shop.
10:58
We needed that. We needed somebody to
11:00
be a bowl in the china shop, somebody who
11:02
had brutal honesty, who was
11:04
brash and could show us what
11:06
was going on and I think shake some
11:08
of us awake. And so we need
11:11
more governors who are willing to fight
11:13
for their state and their people, and
11:15
I think we're seeing that right now with some of the people
11:17
running. I'm really impressed with this crop of
11:20
politicians I hate to even use that word,
11:22
Lisa, of citizens who are running
11:25
to help their state. When I said
11:27
that I decided to run for governor
11:30
because of what we saw during COVID. I
11:32
wasn't going to run for politics at all. And
11:34
when I quit my job, the people of Arizona
11:36
who I covered for twenty seven years, reached out
11:39
in droves and said, would you please consider
11:42
running for office. We need somebody who we trust,
11:45
who understands Arizona, and who
11:47
will fight for us. And at first I kind
11:49
of laughed at the idea. I thought, are you kidding
11:52
me? I'm leaving the world of fake news, the
11:54
corrupt news, and you want me to go into the even
11:56
more corrupt world of politics. But
11:59
I got to think about it and looking
12:01
at the landscape out there, and I thought, if not
12:04
me, then who will do this? Are
12:06
we just going to get another career politician?
12:09
And so I decided to throw my hat into the
12:11
ring. And they were some people were telling me you should run
12:13
for Congress, and I just didn't think
12:15
I would be able to make a big
12:18
difference in Congress. And I thought my name,
12:20
I d my understanding of Arizona,
12:23
I would be best suited to run for governor. I
12:26
think you would hate Congress. To be honest, You're
12:28
I I worked on Capitol Hill. You're ere too much
12:30
of a leader. It would probably drive you crazy. I don't
12:32
think you would like it. And the traveling would
12:34
not be found either, And in Arizona needs
12:37
some strength. Right now, Let's face it, our borders
12:39
wide open. We have handed
12:42
the control, not we. Biden
12:44
and his people handed control of our border
12:46
to the narco terrorists, the cartels.
12:49
And if we don't get a strong governor in Arizona,
12:53
I think it's the most important state right now, we will
12:55
lose our country. We're on the verge with this border
12:57
being wide open and nobody doing anything about
13:00
it. If we don't get someone to jump in there
13:02
and do something, I don't know that
13:04
we can get through two more years before we can
13:06
get Biden out of office. We need
13:08
someone who will go in and take control of
13:10
the border. And that's what we intend to do, starting
13:12
on day one. Quick commercial break back
13:15
with Carrie Lake. I
13:20
do believe November eight this sort of our last
13:22
day and as Americans to try to take
13:24
this country back, clot back from the destruction
13:27
that we have seen. You know, I know
13:29
you are a busy woman. Is there
13:31
anything you'd like to leave us with before
13:33
we go carry? You know, I think as
13:36
scary as times are right now, and I know
13:38
many of us maybe lay awake at night and
13:41
think about what's happening and wonder how do we
13:43
get through this? Just remember
13:45
that God placed each and every
13:47
one of us here for a reason. I don't believe
13:49
God makes mistakes. He gave us
13:51
all a set of skills. And you know, my
13:53
skills are an understanding of Arizona,
13:57
a relationship with the people, the ability to
13:59
communicate, and uh,
14:01
you know, an ability to actually navigate
14:03
politics because I covered it for so long
14:06
and I'm using that skill. But maybe your skill
14:08
is something else, something different. We all
14:10
have a skill to use right now to save our
14:12
country. I'm so pleased with the
14:15
people coming out getting involved
14:17
who have never been involved in politics, and
14:19
now they are rabid. They are
14:21
so excited about getting involved in saving
14:23
their state. Wherever we go, we're drawing huge
14:25
crowds, and I'm not telling you that
14:27
to be boastful. I'm telling you that because Americans
14:31
and Arizonans are ready to take
14:33
back their government. And it's such a beautiful
14:35
thing. It's very much the spirit of seventeen
14:37
seventy six. And I'm so excited
14:40
and so hopeful that even though
14:42
times feel dark, I really do believe
14:44
our best days are ahead of us. And
14:46
I'm not just saying that. I feel it. Something
14:49
big is happening here in Arizona, and
14:51
I'm hoping it's happening in other states as well.
14:53
So don't lose, don't lose hope,
14:56
don't lose heart. We are going to
14:58
do great things and and restore America
15:00
to its great days. I feel it too.
15:02
I've actually I've never been to Arizona, but you kind
15:04
of make me want to go visit. So I feel like I
15:06
need to do that now. We'd
15:09
love to have beautiful down here, That's
15:11
what I hear. Well, you're awesome, carry I appreciate
15:13
your time. I know you're busy. We're rooting
15:15
for you, we're praaring for you, and I really do believe we
15:17
need more leaders like you. So uh, I
15:19
respect you and I appreciate your time. Thank you, Lisa,
15:22
and thanks for having me on. So
15:33
that was Harry Lake running for
15:35
governor in Arizona. She's
15:37
awesome, isn't she. I wish we had more time.
15:39
Look, these candidates are
15:41
crazy right now. I mean they are working
15:44
morning tonight, They're doing you
15:46
know, fifteen events per day,
15:49
media, etcetera. So I wanted to be respectful
15:51
of her schedule as she's out
15:53
trying to earn Arizona vote. So
15:56
appreciate you guys listening to this show. I
15:58
want to thank John Cassio, my new SURT
16:00
for putting the show together. Please
16:02
leave us a review, give us ratings
16:04
on Apple Podcasts as well. Every Monday
16:07
and Thursday, but you can listen throughout the week. Thanks
16:09
for listening. H
