I want to take a listen to this. So

0:22

hundreds of protesters took

0:24

to the Oklahoma state capital on Monday,

0:27

protesting Governor Kevin Stitt

0:29

for taking a stand to protect miners

0:31

in his state. He was giving the State of the

0:33

State addressed where he said this, we

0:36

must protect our most vulnerable,

0:38

our children. After all, miners

0:41

can't vote, can't purchase

0:43

alcohol, can't purchase

0:45

cigarettes. We shouldn't

0:47

allow a minor to get up a permanent

0:50

gender altering surgery in Oklahoma.

0:52

That's why I'm calling him for the legislature to

0:55

send me a bill that advances all

0:57

ginger transition surgeries and hormone

0:59

therapy the ons in the state

1:01

of Oklahoma. We're

1:05

going to talk to Governor Kevin Stitt, who just

1:07

got reelected, about why he's taking a stand

1:09

on this important issue. We'll also

1:11

talk to him. You know, Joe Biden has reached havoc

1:14

on our economy, so how does he

1:16

as a governor fight against those headwinds.

1:19

Will also get his take on the Chinese

1:21

balloon and why Oklahoma

1:23

has banned Chinese nationals

1:25

from purchasing farmlands. All of that

1:28

and more with Oklahoma's Governor Kevin

1:30

Stitt Governor

1:36

stood. First of all, congratulations

1:39

in your reelection. You're doing important

1:41

things in the state of Oklahoma. So I'm

1:43

so glad that you've got more time there. So

1:45

congratulations, Thank you so much.

1:47

I appreciate it. So it's a lot of fun serving your

1:49

state where you grew up and I'm just having a blast.

1:52

Well, and you're you're doing great things, including

1:54

standing up for for young people, you

1:56

know, fighting against this push from

1:59

society to encourage young people to mutilate

2:01

their bodies, to to take hormones

2:03

that could potentially lead to infertility and

2:06

damage them in ways that they're not even

2:08

thinking of right now. But you know, of

2:10

course that's created a reaction. You know, there's hundreds

2:12

of protesters gathered at the Oklahoma

2:15

State Capital on Monday, protesting,

2:18

you know, protesting on what you're doing. Why

2:20

was this an important issue for for you to take a stand

2:23

on. Well, first off, you know, we

2:25

we have an obligation to protect our young people,

2:27

I mean minors. We're talking about minor children

2:30

here. They can't buy alcohol, they can't

2:32

buy cigarettes and in Oklahoma,

2:34

and we think it's preposterous to let them

2:36

have a permanent altering

2:38

surgery that potentially

2:41

could sterilize under your point, and so again

2:43

we're not against any person,

2:46

but listen, hey, if you're gonna have an elective surgery,

2:48

let's wait till you're an adult, to your mind is

2:50

fully developed to go do that,

2:53

because we don't want that to happen in the state

2:55

of Oklahoma. Uh. You know, overwhelmingly

2:58

Oklahoma's agree with me. This

3:01

is just common sense to us. And you're

3:03

always have a few naysayers, but we don't

3:05

let that effect this for doing for you know, continue

3:07

to do what's right. You know, we're saying in society,

3:09

you just culturally really this push

3:11

for for young people saying that this is okay.

3:13

And to your point, you know, you can't buy

3:16

alcohol, and you're a minor, you can't purchase cigarettes.

3:18

So why is it okay to allow a minor

3:21

to mutilate their bodies at such a young age.

3:24

We don't think it is. And last year, when I found

3:26

out there was a there was like a clinic in

3:28

one of our university hospitals, I signed an executive

3:30

order to shut that down and then ask

3:33

the legislature to codify that

3:35

in law this year, and and it's gonna

3:37

be on my desk within the first couple of weeks here

3:39

obsession because Oklahoma's overwhelmingly

3:42

support me on this. And again we're

3:44

talking about kids under the age of eighteen.

3:46

Why we let them do that? There's not another

3:49

procedure in the country. Uh,

3:52

there's no wather procedure. I can think about where you would

3:54

go into the doctor's office self diagnose

3:57

yourself and then also prescribe the surgery.

4:00

Want. Uh, it's just it's nonsense.

4:02

We're not gonna let it happen. Uh. This is this

4:04

is something that's an elective surgery for

4:06

after you're fully developed and you're you're an adult

4:09

and you want to go make some kind of decision. But

4:11

we don't want even taxpayer at all our spend on that. I

4:13

appreciate that. I think you're doing the right thing on that.

4:15

You know, I also want to ask you, of course, you know, at the

4:17

State of the Union this week, Joe Biden

4:20

is going to try to make claims

4:22

that aren't true about the economy. Somehow

4:24

he has created the strong economy. We know that

4:26

it's not. You know, you've got a record number of Americans

4:29

saying they're worse off financially since Biden

4:31

took office. You know, as a governor,

4:34

how do you fight against those headwinds,

4:36

you know, those national headwinds and this economy

4:39

that Joe Biden's created. We talked about in

4:41

Oklahoma. I mean, we are Oklahoma.

4:43

I'm asking for tax cuts. We want to continue

4:45

to be the most business friendly state in the country.

4:47

And if you look, we're tomp top ten

4:50

right now, and net migration people

4:52

move into our state because they're fleeing

4:54

some of the high tax states. They're fleeing

4:56

some of the Democratic led states because

4:59

they're seeing probe business, pro freedom

5:01

policies and states like Oklahoma. But inflation

5:04

before Biden was at one point four percent

5:07

and now it is six point five percent.

5:10

And this was in my State of the State address that I just

5:12

did yesterday. I mean, before the pandemic,

5:15

a gallon of milk is is uh

5:19

is to ninety something like that,

5:21

and now it's four Eggs

5:23

were a dollar fifty, now they're five fifty.

5:26

So there's some real issues

5:29

with inflation right now. Um and

5:31

then, and you can all point it back to the attack

5:33

on oil and gas and not having an honest

5:35

conversation about about a reliable

5:38

energy grid. And an affordable energy

5:40

grid with domestic energy production

5:43

from oil and gas companies as well

5:45

as wind and kind of on all of the above

5:47

approach that we have in Oklahoma. Well, you know, and that's

5:49

the thing, you know, Biden can say whatever he wants.

5:51

You can have pe poota judge go to the Sunday shows,

5:54

which he did over the weekend, you know, trying to

5:56

tell out something that doesn't exist. But we all

5:58

know it's not a strong economy, or

6:00

at least not nationally. You

6:02

know, how bad are Americans

6:05

struggling right now? You know how difficult do you

6:07

think that's going to be for them to try to sell something

6:10

when we all know that we're paying more each

6:12

month because of inflation. You know, you go to the

6:14

gas station, you're paying more. We see it

6:16

with our own eyes, that's right. And then uh, you

6:18

know, obviously, you know, the

6:20

borrowing costs are really really

6:22

starting to affect the average person

6:25

um business barring cost home

6:28

prices. We're starting to see a slump in home prices

6:30

because of raising interest.

6:32

Right, so all that stuff goes into effect.

6:34

We've got to let the free market flourish.

6:37

And when government and these type of policies

6:40

continue to clamp down and over

6:42

regulate things and try to pick winners and

6:44

losers. Who's harmed. It's actually

6:46

the American people are harmed paying

6:49

higher at the gas pump hype

6:53

because the same the

6:55

same people that they say that they're trying to protect, they're

6:57

actually harming with the cost of

7:00

everyday items right now in the in the in

7:02

the state and also in the country. You know, I also wanted

7:04

to get your take. We all saw as the

7:06

Chinese balloon, which was a spying

7:08

balloon, you know, violated our aerospace flying

7:11

over nuclear silos, air force

7:13

spaces, and you know they were going to withhold

7:15

it from us. The by administration took a week

7:17

to shoot down. You were taking

7:19

a stand in Oklahoma by making

7:21

illegal for you know, the Communist Party of

7:24

China to purchase farm land in

7:26

the state of Oklahoma. Why do you think that's

7:28

important to to not allow that

7:30

to fight that, and like you said, we made it illegal

7:33

for Chinese nationals to purchase

7:35

farmland in the state of Oklahoma. We're cracking

7:37

down on that. I banned TikTok from all

7:39

of our state devices. Um,

7:42

you know there they're an adversary

7:44

of ours and they share information from these

7:46

companies, so we're not gonna let that happen in our state.

7:48

Uh. The Chinese balloon is a real

7:51

head scratcher. Myself and all the Republican

7:53

governors across the country just

7:55

could not understand. We got briefed.

7:57

We called the d O D what's happening.

8:00

I called my National Guard to find out what our

8:02

options were if it came into the state of Oklahoma.

8:05

But this is something that is really

8:07

the American people should be asking ourselves. Why

8:10

was it not shot down before it came over? Why

8:12

would we allow that to happen? And those

8:14

are things that uh, I mean, elections

8:16

matter, and you can look at the different leadership

8:19

between what's happening right now with what we happened

8:22

four years ago or several years

8:24

ago with the President Trump and and

8:26

hopefully we take back the White House. I

8:29

joked sadly, but it's true. You know, it might

8:31

as well have been shaped as a middle finger, because that was

8:33

essentially the message China was setting

8:36

us. You know, they did it because they could because

8:38

we have a weak president. I wanted to ask you, I

8:40

even wondering this, what authority

8:42

does it? Would you be able to do as governor instruct

8:44

the National Guard to shoot it down or how

8:47

would that that work? Well? Obviously,

8:49

as as the commander in chief of our our national

8:52

Guard, we've got a you know,

8:54

f sixteens at our air base, at

8:56

our National Guard base in Tulsa,

8:58

and that's something that's it's a huge question

9:01

that we would have to obviously be in consultation with

9:04

the big army in the in the Department of Offense.

9:06

But um, you know, I

9:08

don't I don't have a direct answer for you. Thankfully

9:11

did not come into the state of Oklahoma and I didn't

9:13

have to make that decision. Um.

9:15

But it's something that I'm actually

9:17

checking on as we speak

9:19

and talking to our to our our generals.

9:22

But the big question is why is our president not

9:25

taking care of it before it came into Montana.

9:27

I mean, I think for a lot of Americans, and I

9:29

talked to people, you know, when I was at the airport at

9:31

a restaurant, you know, waiting my flight,

9:33

and everyone has been paying attention to this

9:36

thing, and there's just this sentiment that we're

9:38

not as strong as we used to be. You

9:40

know, that this is a sign of weakness for America.

9:43

And I think it's understood for all Americans, whether

9:45

you know, regardless how much attention they pay to the

9:47

to the media, or to politics. And I think

9:49

we all kind of shared the same sentiment

9:52

of just feeling like we're not America

9:54

anymore. You know, we're not this strong country we used

9:56

to be. I mean, that's exactly right, you know, the

9:58

Afghanistan exit, mean we kind of forget

10:00

about that, but think about how

10:03

disheartening that was as we withdrew

10:06

everything from Afghanistan and we

10:08

saw these people hanging onto airplanes.

10:11

We just left our friends and allies behind,

10:13

and people that fought for us and broke our word,

10:15

and they were holding onto airplanes because

10:17

they knew they were losing their chance for freedom. We saw

10:19

moms handing their their child

10:21

over to a serviceman just hoping

10:23

that they could get them to freedom. So very

10:26

very disappointing, not counting the billions

10:28

and billions of dollars worth of assets that we

10:30

left there. Uh So again, all

10:33

these kind of things are just head scratchers

10:35

to us, um and what's

10:37

going on? But you're right, And then to

10:40

let the Chinese fly a

10:42

spy balloon a balloon and

10:45

just kind of track it slowly over

10:47

the U S. We're

10:49

like, why why would we

10:51

allow that? Why would we allow that? Do you

10:53

think they would allow that allow us to fly

10:55

a balloon over their country? Well? And I think it really

10:57

just comes down to, you know, showing America is

11:00

how important leadership is. You know, it's important

11:02

to have a strong President's important to

11:04

how strong governors like you. Leadership

11:06

matters? Does leadership

11:08

does matter? Um? That's why it's

11:10

so important. These elections are so important

11:13

for us to think about. And do you believe

11:15

in freedoms? Do you believe in a free market

11:17

system? Do you believe in personal responsibilities?

11:20

Or do you want a government uh

11:22

telling everybody how to live their lives what

11:24

to do? Uh? No, we don't

11:27

want that. And that's why you see people flooding

11:29

to states like Oklahoma and Texas

11:31

and Tennessee and Florida and

11:34

in these states that were free. I was one of the only

11:36

governors in the country that refused to do a mask

11:39

mandate when I saw this overreach

11:42

from Washington d C. Trying to tell everybody

11:44

how to live their lives. And and we're

11:46

gonna push back against that. The Washington

11:48

d C bureaucrat. Governor Kevin staid, I know you've

11:51

got a tight schedule today. We appreciate you making

11:53

time for the show, and we appreciate you

11:55

taking a stand in the state of Oklahoma. So

11:57

thank you for what you do. Hey, thank you so much, Lisa,

12:00

and thanks for sharing truth

12:02

with with Americans. We standing behind

12:04

you. That

12:11

was Governor and Kevin Stick. He's doing a lot of

12:14

really great things out of the state of Oklahoma.

12:16

He just got reelected and thank God

12:18

for that. We need strong governors like

12:20

him, like Governor to Stantas, Governor

12:22

Kim Reynolds out of Iowa, who we've had on the

12:24

show. We need people like them standing

12:27

up for freedoms here in America and in

12:29

their estates. I want to thank you at home for

12:31

listening as well my day and Thursday,

12:33

but you can listen throughout the week. I want to thank

12:35

John Cassu, my producer, for putting the show

12:38

together. Until next time,
