এবারের গল্প শহরের দুজন ছেলের। তারা দিব্যি ভালোমন্দ খায় দায়, democracy-র নামে চোখ ওল্টায় আর ডোডো-পাখির সাথে বর্ণ-জাতি গুলিয়ে ফেলে ("ওসব আগে থাকলেও এখন total অবলুপ্ত")। কিন্তু হঠাৎ একদিন তাদের এহেন denial-এর রোদ ঝলমলে নীল আকাশে মেঘ করে আসে। হাজার মাইল দূরে এক ছাত্রর আর তারও তিন বছর পর এক ডাক্তারের একই কারণে চলে যাওয়ার পর, তাদের মনে হতে থাকে হয়তো এই শহুরে গণ-denial-এর বাইরে একটা বিরাট সত্যি আছে। সেই সূত্রেই তাদের নাগালে আসে একটা বই। সেটা পড়ার পর বোঝা যায়, সেই সত্যিটা কী ভাবে আজও স্কুলের সিলেবাস, গণমাধ্যমের ঔদাসীন্য আর ঘন ঘন "General হওয়ার অভিশাপ"-এর কাঁদুনিতে চাপা। // 

This episode is about the two city boys who celebrated when they wished, wore democracy on their sleeves and considered caste as nothing more than a relic. But one day, their walls of denial caved in. Thousand miles away, a student had died followed by a doctor, three years later. They started feeling that perhaps there was a truth lurking behind the city-bred mass apathy. Soon, they got hold of a book. It became clear how the truth was too dangerous for the school syllabi, too plain for the media and too inconvenient for the people whining about the "deprived General".
