6:28

experience My first time and so Is

6:33

6:35

the second time. So you save your

6:37

podcast guest appearances only for us. Only

6:39

for you guys. Wow, that's an honor.

6:41

That is an honor. That's an honor.

6:43

I like you. You bring us trailers.

6:46

You're nice to us. You buy us

6:48

lunch. You got a really nice one

6:50

today. That's awesome. We got a good

6:52

one. We're pretty proud of it. And

6:54

we're pretty proud of our other one

6:56

too. But this one is like get

6:58

out, put some deer food plots in

7:01

and go do farm stuff. Size you

7:03

can do some real work with that

7:05

trailer. Yeah, this is a getting shit

7:07

done trailer. Yeah, it is it's a

7:09

22 foot tilt bed Fine unit 14k

7:11

unit you can put your skid loaders

7:13

on there. You can put your small

7:15

tractors on there Attachments those kinds of

7:18

things on there. Yeah, it's just side -by

7:20

-side adult toys. Yeah toys all kinds

7:22

of fun Yeah, that's the thing like

7:24

a luma is I think people hear

7:26

you know they hear it on the

7:28

show And some guys don't think about

7:30

it. Like I have Luma trailers. That's a

7:32

partner of WCB. But I

7:34

think it over, it gets overlooked

7:37

how important it is if you're doing, you

7:39

know, some guys have hobby properties that

7:42

don't do anything. But if you're trying to

7:44

like part of the hobby of deer

7:46

hunting is food plots and land work and

7:48

management and stuff like that. And part

7:50

of that process is a trailer. Yeah. Because

7:52

if you're going to take equipment and

7:54

all that stuff out there, you got to

7:57

have a trailer. So

7:59

to us, I see it goes hand in

8:01

hand. I know last episode, you're in, we

8:03

kind of talked about that a little bit,

8:05

like, I don't know if you guys view

8:07

it that much from a hunting standpoint from

8:09

internal and aluminum or not. We hear a

8:11

lot of stories by guys that use their

8:13

trailers for hunting in all different capacities. So

8:15

we kind of joke that we specialize in

8:17

convenience. And hopefully it

8:20

works in the hunting world as well.

8:22

It gives you a spot to or

8:24

a vehicle to use to get your Equipment

8:27

to your hunting spot or there you

8:29

be your side -by -side or if you're working

8:31

on food plots Take your equipment out

8:33

there and they have everything that you need

8:35

with you and also a way to

8:37

get your game back Yeah, yeah, totally enough

8:39

to have something to bring back right.

8:41

It's funny like how it all scales because

8:43

like All right had some leases and

8:45

permission farms. It's like I had call a

8:47

buddy that had a tractor typically it's

8:49

Austin Clark Cummings came out with some of

8:51

his stuff and it's like always I'm

8:53

always bumming a tractor the finally got a

8:55

tractor And then you get the one

8:57

tractor like, this is great, but I want

8:59

the other tractor that has like the

9:01

little more creature comforts so like make my

9:03

job easier. So went from just like

9:05

straight gear tractor to now I got like

9:07

the hydrostat right, just turn around on

9:09

a dime. Well, then you get those trailers

9:12

and you're like, all right, this trailer, I'm tired of

9:14

dealing with ramps, broke the ramp on that one that

9:16

sucks. And I've been rocking a

9:18

big 20 foot steel trailer with the heavy

9:20

ass ramps. And I hate it. I'm like,

9:22

man, a tilt bed would just be. It

9:24

takes so much headache out of this. It

9:26

does. It makes it so much so bad.

9:29

So we got one now. We got one. No

9:31

rust. No rust. Easy to

9:33

work with. Looks good. Light. It's

9:35

lightweight. Yeah. Especially on gravel, man.

9:38

Nothing makes you just like look

9:40

at your baby. And just

9:42

kind of like a tear comes down.

9:44

It's all gravel chipped and rusty. The first

9:46

time you take down gravel. Oh, it's

9:48

the worst shit. You won't have that with

9:50

this one. Yeah, I'm really looking forward

9:52

to it. It's got the nice wheels and

9:55

shit on it. does. It's four times

9:57

the value of the truck I'm driving, which

9:59

I love that truck. But it's great.

10:01

You know, that's like it just the creature

10:03

comforts of what a Luma has and

10:05

what it offers and the longevity of it

10:07

is, I mean, The shining star of

10:10

utility you'll own that trailer for a long

10:12

long time and you'll have a lot

10:14

of really good service out of it So

10:16

yeah, what uh, so I know we

10:18

talked about a lot of this on the

10:20

last one But I want to talk

10:22

about some of the new stuff from a

10:24

luma and uh, I don't so some

10:27

people this might seem kind of like a

10:29

commercial a little bit it kind of

10:31

is but You know if guys are next

10:33

level deer farm in or land management.

10:35

This is good info for them for sure

10:37

What's the most Like what's the most

10:39

popular trailer that you guys? Close right now

10:41

you think you know our tilt trailers

10:44

have really become popular Both in single axles

10:46

and tandems in the last few years

10:48

here, and we've got a wide variety of

10:50

tilt trailers that You know rather you're

10:52

going out hunting and you're taking a side

10:54

-by -side out going out with the family

10:56

Riding the trails whatever we've got a wide

10:58

variety of products to help in all

11:01

of those categories It's kind of fun when

11:03

you go around the country and you

11:05

see You know you go from

11:07

the east coast to the west coast

11:09

and the Midwest you see all different

11:11

uses for the different types of recreation

11:13

that they're you know that they're Taking

11:15

their toys out to rather be out

11:17

in the desert. Yeah riding in the

11:19

desert or if they're doing the trails

11:21

around here or just farm work and

11:23

going out to your food plots or

11:25

whatever, you know, and To

11:28

some guys that's a lot of recreation. That's

11:30

a it's a big part of their hobby

11:32

or whatever Yeah, and to have those trailers

11:34

that they can use multi -purpose I think

11:36

is really good for them to have something

11:38

they can like the trailer You just got

11:40

you can put your tractor on you can

11:42

put a small or a pretty good size

11:44

skid loader on that trailer Yeah, you can

11:46

still put side -by -sides on it You can

11:48

do a lot of different stuff with that

11:50

so hopefully people are able to have one

11:52

trailer that they can use in a lot

11:54

of different capacities, but We've got a wide

11:57

variety of trailers from the small ones all

11:59

the way up to the big ones. But

12:01

like I said, tilt trailers have become really,

12:03

really popular. And they just offer a lot of

12:05

versatility for people. They don't have any ramps

12:07

that they have to worry about or tailgates. And

12:10

for those people that want something that that's not

12:12

a tilt trailer, we have a full, you know,

12:14

pretty full line up there as well. Yeah,

12:17

the other one we have is like a

12:19

14 foot perfect on the side by side. But

12:21

what I like about it, there's enough room. So

12:24

I had a what I had before

12:26

like a 10 or 12 foot and it

12:28

wasn't big enough like now I can

12:30

bring Like a packer max culta packer on

12:32

the back of that or if I

12:34

have like my sprayer booms I don't got

12:36

to worry about the gate hit number

12:38

It's just nice. It's so damn. Yeah, that's

12:40

14's like ideal for an ATV I

12:42

would say you have to have it now.

12:44

I don't know if you have like

12:46

a crew cab what you want I think

12:48

it probably still fit on that 14

12:50

or we've got a 15 foot for some

12:52

of the bigger crews now Some of

12:54

them coming out of the crate or have

12:56

gotten a lot heavier there You know,

12:58

you're 27 or 3 ,000 pounds or even

13:00

more if they're electric coming out of the

13:02

crate and then people are adding some

13:04

additional stuff on them. So this year we

13:06

came out with some new trailers that

13:08

had a heavier axle on them that actually

13:10

have a GVWR of 4 ,250. They got

13:12

a 4 ,400 pound axle on them. So

13:14

that trailer gives you the ability to

13:17

have a single axle trailer and that you

13:19

can put your crew cab machine on

13:21

and still have plenty of capacity. Um,

13:23

you're not totally maxing out

13:25

the trailer. Worst thing in

13:27

the world is you're going down the road and you

13:29

have problems with it. And that's, we want to avoid

13:31

that at every cost. So when you're going out to

13:33

do your hunt, you're going out to have some recreation

13:36

time with your family or whatever that. You

13:38

can get there with with peace of mind. They're

13:40

gonna screw it around. Yeah, alongside the road somewhere, right?

13:42

Especially on a long road hunting like a long

13:44

hunting trip, you know, you got you carrying shit out

13:46

there. It's like, well, you just want to get

13:48

to where you can go so you can shoot animals.

13:50

You're not trying to mess right. You don't to

13:52

think about the trailer. You just want to know it's

13:54

hooked up and you can go. But we need

13:56

to get some trailer. One of the alumas out this

13:58

fall and just get a bunch of dead bucks

14:00

lined up on the deck. That'd be

14:02

pretty cool. That'd be awesome. Yeah, that'd be pretty make it

14:04

like that'd be a good photo op. Oh, for sure. You

14:06

know what I mean? Well, turkey season's coming up. We'll stock

14:08

a bunch of turkey bodies on it. That's funny. Yeah, we

14:10

should see how many we can load up on the big

14:12

bar here. That's a

14:14

good call. All posing up on them. Yeah,

14:17

it's funny. We were talking about, we might have

14:19

talked about this on the last podcast. We run

14:21

those grizzly blinds from Decora. It's like,

14:23

man, you know how, you know how just. Balling

14:25

it would look to just leave one on a

14:27

luma and leave it out in the fields. It's just

14:29

like yeah, don't worry about nothing with the aluminum.

14:32

Yeah, that's for sure. That'd be a nice setup. Leave

14:34

it out there all year long. Yeah, we'll have

14:36

to get it polished. Make

14:38

it nice and shiny. Did anybody polish one of

14:40

the alumas? We have had. I've seen some guys take

14:42

some car haulers and polish them out that are,

14:44

you know, that are hauling show vehicles on them and

14:46

then they polish out the trailer. There was an

14:48

older gentleman up by Algona Iowa that had one that

14:50

he polished out that was absolutely beautiful and he

14:52

got done with it. It was really neat. I asked

14:54

him how many hours he had in it and

14:56

he said, you don't want to know. You don't want

14:59

to know. So what do they, do they ceramic

15:01

coat those when they're done polishing them or do they

15:03

just leave them? I imagine you

15:05

just leave it. Yeah. I think he said he

15:07

just left it and then he touched it

15:09

up every now and then and he kept it

15:11

inside all the time and I'd have to

15:13

surrender. I don't even know if you can do

15:15

that, but you know what I'm saying like

15:17

that coating you put on yeah Yeah, you can

15:19

do that or not be interesting find out

15:21

that'd be though I mean should have took that

15:23

much work. You're probably blinding people going down

15:25

the road Yes, it's very shiny chrome pretty much.

15:27

Oh, it looks like chrome. Oh, yeah, it

15:29

looks pretty right out of the factory like we

15:31

walked what? 100 yards from the bar to

15:33

the road and we're sitting there admiring it and

15:35

we already had a compliment on it We

15:37

weren't there five minutes. I mean, it's a good

15:39

-looking trailer. Yeah, beautiful. Yeah, it's funny now like

15:41

working with you guys I'm always looking so

15:43

anytime I see an aluminum trailer like even like

15:45

I've seen some old alumas that still look

15:47

great But you just yeah, I'm gonna just rock

15:49

and tell their oldest because the decal You

15:51

know what I mean? It's kind of funny the

15:53

it's fun to have people come into the

15:55

factory that have had aluminum trailers for 20

15:58

25 years and they bring him in and they

16:00

need a part replaced on them Or they just

16:02

have a little repair that needs to be done

16:04

on them and you look at them and you

16:06

can I mean they're still good trailers They're still

16:08

going down the road and they're still yeah doing

16:10

they're out there doing work all the time. So

16:12

it's fun to see that Yeah, well, it's fuck.

16:14

I mean I've had some trailers I,

16:17

Lee bought my other trailer. It's nice, you know,

16:19

but on gravel, it just goes from a trailer

16:21

that's a year old to looking like it's 10

16:23

years old and a GIF. Like, yeah. Yeah. Less

16:25

than a year. It's like, yeah, that's a bummer,

16:27

but. Gravel chews up paint pretty fast. Yeah. It's

16:29

bad. I don't know. It's, the other trailer's been

16:31

great. So I'm excited, man. I can't wait to

16:33

throw that tractor on there and go food plot.

16:35

Yeah. You're going to like that. You're going to

16:37

like it a lot, I think. Well, we got

16:40

a lot of food plot work coming up, like.

16:42

Talking about that a little bit before we talk

16:44

about some of the other new stuff from aluminum.

16:46

It's like we're getting ready to do that a

16:48

bunch like yeah big time borderline is like We

16:50

use it as a screening. It looks like corn

16:52

from a distance and it just we use it

16:54

to like Control deer movement and block off areas

16:56

from being just you know like what I'm gonna

16:58

do I'm gonna plant a bunch along the road

17:00

so people can't look down the farm You know

17:02

and stuff like that. It's a fence pretty much

17:05

so you can plant so I got a ton

17:07

of that cut that we're gonna be doing All

17:09

our spring plots, clover plots. Well,

17:12

I'm basically just doing spring clover plots. It's

17:15

a great time of year to get out there

17:17

and start doing some of these chores. We've been

17:19

dreaming about all winter. You guys are already sticking

17:21

switchgrass in the ground. It's getting time and spraying,

17:23

you know, getting ready for stuff. And what a

17:25

great time to look at a trailer. I

17:28

can see a lot of value in

17:30

this product because, and I think a lot

17:32

of guys can because we're getting so

17:34

spread out between farms. Like I'm in a

17:36

couple of different states now between Illinois

17:38

and Iowa. So I'm making 150 mile trip

17:40

one way to a farm and a

17:42

nice light trailer like this is going to

17:44

be. It's going to be what a

17:46

guy wants. Yeah. And I don't think I'm

17:48

in the minority there. I think most

17:50

guys probably have two or three hunting properties

17:52

that are fairly spaced out, not close

17:54

enough that you can drive your tractor to

17:56

each one. Yeah. So consider a trailer

17:58

like this. It's going to save you a

18:00

lot of headache in the long run.

18:02

Yeah. Well, I have

18:04

one farm that I can... drive a tractor too. I

18:06

mean, I technically could drive to the other one,

18:08

which wouldn't be any fun. Just take you

18:11

six hours to get there. Yeah, I'd have to stop at the

18:13

Casey's and get fueled up. That'd be

18:15

a long trip. It wouldn't be worth it. I

18:17

mean, if I had to do it. You could

18:19

I could do it, but it just would not

18:21

be a good time. No, especially with a tiller

18:23

on the back. Just bouncing no cab on it.

18:25

Yeah, I don't want to do that. But we

18:27

think most guys don't hunt near where they live

18:29

for the most part with way Illinois is some

18:31

of these states are for your permission. A lot

18:33

of guys are multiple states now, you know, like

18:35

they have a lease in one state and then

18:37

their home farm and then another lease. And it's

18:39

like, man, something like this, you put it behind

18:41

the truck, you don't even feel it back there.

18:44

Yep, exactly. The neat thing is you can go

18:46

behind a lot of the half ton vehicles, Spermins,

18:48

Tahoe's. expeditions, that kind of thing, you can go

18:50

behind there pulling our trailers. So that's

18:52

one thing that we've heard from a lot

18:54

of people is they've got a half ton truck,

18:56

they don't want to go to a three

18:58

quarter ton truck. And with with the difference in

19:00

the weight of a steel trailer versus the

19:02

aluminum trailer, you can get by with that a

19:04

lot of times. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's a

19:06

good point. I'm excited to pull. That's a three

19:08

quarter ton truck out there. I have a

19:10

half ton. And I know I haven't

19:12

pulled my, I pulled my tractor one time with

19:14

the three quarter ton, but with the steel

19:16

trailer that I had for that. So I'm, I'm

19:18

going to try that with my halftime, just

19:21

see, see how it goes, how big of a

19:23

it would, it pulled it fine. You could

19:25

just feel it on the truck by your drive.

19:27

It's the stopping part that he's, yeah. It'll

19:29

get it moving. It's the stopping part. So

19:32

I'm going to try it and see how big a

19:34

difference it is. Is this a cold beer? That has a

19:36

cold beverage. Try this one out. Never had one. I'm

19:40

excited to get out. I'm like itching to just

19:42

do like farm work I'm like even itching to just

19:44

do farm work for no reason Like I'm just

19:46

gonna drive around. That's what that's gonna get anything new.

19:48

You just want to just go out and use

19:50

it Yeah, totally. It's that time of year again to

19:52

get out and get started. Yeah I just want

19:54

to move logs around the tractor for no reason, you

19:56

know, just moving from here to here and back

19:58

and forth. Push over here, do all that. So

20:01

is that heavier axle trailer you're talking about

20:03

for side by side? Is that the 81

20:05

series? So we've got, we

20:07

also have that in the 81 series. The 81

20:09

series typically came with a 3500 pound axle

20:12

before and now we've got it in the 4400

20:14

pound axle. We had to make some changes

20:16

in the trailer to accommodate that, but we've got

20:18

it both ways. So you can still. get

20:20

the standard trailer with the 3500 pound axle

20:22

or if you're looking for something that where

20:24

you do need brakes, you know, you talk

20:26

about stopping and when you've got something that

20:28

heavy behind you, especially if you're pulling it

20:31

with a little bit smaller tow vehicle, you

20:33

want to have that ability to have brakes

20:35

on there so that it's safe. Yeah. Going

20:37

up to that heavy axle trailer, it does

20:39

add brakes and it gives you extra capacity

20:41

as well. So there's some differences between the

20:43

trailers to do that, but it does give

20:45

you the ability to load some of those

20:47

heavier machines and go down the road with

20:50

them. That'd be a nice fit on a

20:52

half -ton vehicle. Very nice fit on a

20:54

half -ton vehicle. You got the brakes, you got

20:56

the capacity to haul some extra weight, and

20:58

you got the light trailer. That's money. I

21:00

feel like Austin's going to be asking about

21:02

trailer. I might have to inquire a little

21:04

bit. I bought these two

21:06

trailers like they're only two or three years old

21:08

now, so I'm going to be getting rid of

21:10

something that's fairly new, but I can see a

21:12

lot of I can see a lot of benefits

21:14

with a trailer like this. Oh, yeah, you're doing

21:16

more equipment hauling than we are too. I'm moving

21:18

around a lot. In the summer, I'll be back

21:21

and forth between Iowa and Illinois, you know, 10

21:23

times. You might well hook it up and never

21:25

unhook it. I might just steal it from you

21:27

guys. always

21:30

good to have something to borrow a trailer for, right? Yeah, remember

21:32

all those times you had me come up with that tractor? I

21:34

think you owe me a little bit. That's true. I do owe

21:36

you, but it doesn't mean you can keep the fucking thing. Yeah,

21:40

if you need it to go to Iowa.

21:42

and stuff we'll do it but you know

21:44

I better test it out for a buy

21:47

one content purposes yeah yeah nice thing is

21:49

too you can pick that trailer up and

21:51

move it around easy once you're unhooked from

21:53

your tow vehicle so if you're yeah if

21:55

you're somewhere where you have some space constraints

21:57

it's easy to move it around set it

21:59

behind the house or behind the you know

22:01

behind your shed or whatever yeah to get

22:04

it out of the way you can do

22:06

that fairly easy with one person on a

22:08

lot of those trailers some of the bigger

22:10

trailers it takes two people but yeah I

22:12

got a question and if You don't know

22:14

it's a product idea for you guys. Okay.

22:16

So I put an Apple air tag on

22:18

my other Luma because if it's sitting there,

22:21

it's a nice trailer. Someone steals

22:23

it. I could find it. Yep. Do

22:25

you guys have a something like that that

22:27

can be put on the trailers or a

22:29

spot that you recommend? Maybe you can't say

22:32

it on air, but like, you know what

22:34

I mean? That's a product idea. Something you

22:36

can put like a tag or something into.

22:38

So we have, we don't have currently, we

22:40

have been talking to some people. There were

22:42

some people at the NATDA show in August

22:44

that were promoting that type of thing. So

22:46

there are some products out there that are

22:48

coming into the marketplace now where you can

22:51

put them on the trailer so that you

22:53

can track them if it's ever stolen and

22:55

keep track of it. So it's a good

22:57

idea. It is something that's, I think it's

22:59

well worth what it costs to do it.

23:01

So yeah. Yeah, definitely. Cause our buddy Cole,

23:03

he's got a bunch of trailers for his

23:05

business and he just I know the end

23:07

caps for the frame of the trailer just

23:10

keep water out He pops them off and

23:12

just throws the air tag down in it

23:14

because then it's just once the battery dies

23:16

It's in there. I got I got them

23:18

in everything now that my wife's car was

23:20

stolen back in September So and trailers are

23:22

hot. That's the thing everybody wants to steal

23:24

and this this rural area trailers seem to

23:26

go faster than anything So that's a great

23:29

idea. I never thought about doing that. We

23:31

have air tags and everything. Everything. That's smart.

23:33

It's a good idea. You know, I just

23:35

didn't know there was a device or not

23:37

a device, but just something that held the

23:39

air tag that like bolted up and looked

23:41

factory clean factory fit. So you could that's

23:43

something that we need to we could definitely

23:45

do that. That's something that It's

23:48

a good idea. Yeah, I think it

23:50

would be like, you know, whatever it is

23:52

another $30 for the tray where it

23:54

bolts or whatever would be Yeah, I think

23:56

everybody would do it because dude you

23:58

can't get away with anything nowadays like there's

24:00

a camera on everything Yeah, there's I

24:02

mean we have air tags on everything every

24:04

blind I have every you know I'm

24:06

not gonna tell everybody what I got air

24:08

tags in but We just got them

24:10

tucked everywhere, you know, but you know you

24:12

get nice stuff and It's insurance policy.

24:14

spend good money for it. You want to

24:16

you want to hang on to it

24:18

and have it for a long time. Yeah,

24:20

I don't know I just thought that

24:22

was a neat idea, you know, just They

24:24

even they got them for like cat

24:26

collars and dog. Oh, yeah, they get done.

24:28

So anything. Yeah, you get a nice

24:30

trailer That's that'd be a good way to

24:32

just see where it's at But it's

24:34

crazy people would even steal things anymore knowing

24:36

the risk to get caught Yeah, it's

24:38

crazy, but I don't know. I just thought

24:40

that was a neat product idea. All

24:42

right. What about no luma and camo? Well,

24:47

that's difficult to do. You can

24:49

tell me stupid idea. Next question. Next

24:52

question. not a stupid idea, but

24:54

it is. The way we're

24:56

set up, it's difficult to do for

24:58

us. I have seen some that people

25:00

have used different wraps on that are

25:02

kind of cool, like on the rock

25:04

guards and on the sides, they put

25:06

different wraps on them or they've actually

25:08

painted them. But.

25:12

We aren't set up to do that at the

25:14

factory. Yeah. Yeah, but it would be kind

25:16

of cool. It would be neat I think get

25:18

defenders wrapped in camo or have the logo

25:20

like a camo logo or something on it like

25:22

a sportsman series with the camo logo That'd

25:24

be sweet. Hydra dip the whole thing. There

25:26

you go. Nice Part of the look though in

25:28

a luma is it looks like an a luma. I

25:30

know you can tell it's aluminum trailer, you know,

25:33

it's all clean and bare. Yeah And you can acid

25:35

wash it as you go down the road a

25:37

few years if you want to. What is that? That's

25:39

what the driver when he dropped it off was

25:41

telling us about I didn't. So, you know, with aluminum,

25:44

you can use a light acid wash and

25:46

you can bring some of that brilliance

25:48

back of what the trailer was like when

25:50

it was new. And it's

25:52

pretty easy to do. The only thing you

25:54

don't want to do is get it on

25:56

the steel parts on the trailer. So the. Yeah,

25:58

it takes a finish off like

26:00

a. zinc coated coupler or something like

26:03

that it'll strip the finish off pretty quickly but

26:05

if you stick to having it on the aluminum

26:07

parts of the trailer you can really bring it

26:09

back to you can bring back some of that

26:11

brilliance that it had when it was new and

26:13

you can do that to you know I go

26:15

back to talking about people that have brought trailers

26:17

in that live around Bancroft or Amatsberg and they

26:19

bring them in they'll ask us to do that

26:22

and you can take a 15 year old trailer They

26:24

wash it in it, you know, it's

26:26

not gonna look brand new, but it's pretty

26:28

close. It's gonna look pretty good. Yes,

26:31

it's amazing when you think about how old

26:33

it is to be able to do

26:35

that and Bring them bring it back to

26:37

brilliance and there's a lot of products

26:39

on the market that are aftermarket products You

26:41

can buy it, you know, like at

26:43

a local parts store hardware store or whatever

26:45

And even like the you know the

26:47

truck like a blue beacon Truck

26:50

wash and those blue beacons rule. Yeah,

26:52

you can you can run them through there

26:54

And they'll they're pretty good at cleaning

26:56

them up and and making them look pretty

26:58

darn nice So that's something that that's

27:00

one of the advantages of having aluminum over

27:02

the years especially for people that are

27:04

really particular and they want to keep their

27:07

stuff looking really nice. Yeah, for sure.

27:09

Yeah. Okay. I just pulled out a picture

27:11

of like before and after. That's crazy.

27:13

How satisfying. Yeah. There you go. That's an

27:15

Illuma viral video. You know this, right?

27:17

For social. There you go. Bring one

27:19

in. That's something we should do. Yeah. Yeah. You guys

27:21

should be doing that. It shows like good marketing idea.

27:23

That's a good idea because you know it's like anything

27:25

power washing. You're going

27:27

to watch it. That's satisfying to watch. It's satisfying.

27:29

Yeah. So I better see

27:31

a luma's like you guys need to

27:33

get in a luma tiktok. It's

27:36

just acid washing. There you go trailers

27:38

And honestly, I bet it'd be

27:40

a hit mark my words. It'll be

27:42

a hit When we talk okay,

27:44

but you guys got a five -year

27:46

warranty, so when you buy one you

27:48

get that covered Yep, I

27:50

got it and it's not only a five -year warranty,

27:52

but it's an all -inclusive five -year warranty, so That's

27:54

where if you buy an Illuma trailer,

27:56

you should have a lot of peace of

27:58

mind because if it has wiring that

28:00

would happen to go bad, a light that

28:02

goes bad, God forbid

28:04

a cracked weld, anything that's

28:07

a warranty or that's

28:09

a problem on that trailer

28:11

except for wear items,

28:13

basically tires and brakes, everything

28:15

else is going to be covered under that

28:17

five -year warranty. So even lights that's impressive.

28:20

Yeah lights wiring that's some of the stuff

28:22

that we take a lot of pride in

28:24

and we want that trailer to go down

28:26

the road safely We want we want to

28:28

know that if you guys are going out

28:30

to go hunting if you're going out to

28:32

spend some family time or if you're working

28:34

with it that It's not gonna be a

28:36

hassle. Yeah, it's gonna be convenient and that

28:38

you can go down the road with it

28:40

with peace of mind So did you say

28:42

we were talking earlier about the tires there

28:44

was some kind of a roadside warranty for

28:46

the there is there so the Tires do

28:48

have a roadside warranty again. So if you

28:50

have a problem within the first year, you

28:53

can call into the supplier that we use

28:55

and we can get that information from the

28:57

factory. And even if you hit a piece

28:59

of glass or a nail or something in

29:01

the road and ruins a tire, they'll replace

29:03

the tire for the first year. So that's

29:05

awesome. So yeah, there's it's

29:07

and we're putting a good

29:09

quality radial tire on all of

29:11

our products. So again, We

29:14

aren't the cheapest trailer in the market and

29:16

we know that but we feel that we

29:18

provide a lot of quality and a lot

29:20

of value for what the customer is getting

29:22

it's an investment when you buy an Illuma

29:24

trailer and and We appreciate that people are

29:26

willing to step up and make that investment

29:28

But we also feel they're getting the value

29:30

for what they're paying for there and they're

29:32

gonna have that product for a long time

29:34

It's gonna have really good resale value if

29:36

they ever want to move up to a

29:38

bigger trailer or they had, you know, something

29:40

changes and they don't have a need for

29:43

it. They're going to have good resale value

29:45

with it and hopefully have a lot of

29:47

peace of mind and like I said, if

29:49

they're going out hunting, family trip, whatever the

29:51

case might be. Yeah, it's a buy once

29:53

cry once type thing. But yeah, you guys

29:55

back back it up with all that, which

29:57

is pretty awesome. And then so like we

29:59

can't go, can we go to the Aluma

30:01

HQ and buy a trailer there? You have

30:03

to go to a dealer has to go

30:05

to a dealer. We don't sell anything factory

30:07

direct. That's something that

30:09

we're We're really stringent about. We

30:12

really want our customers to go to

30:14

the dealers there. The dealers are the

30:16

expert on making sure that you're going

30:18

to get the right trailer for what

30:20

you're using it for. So the worst

30:22

case scenario in the world is someone

30:24

goes in and spends good money to

30:26

buy a trailer and they go home

30:28

and it doesn't work for what they

30:30

thought it was going to. And

30:33

our dealers are usually very good about trying

30:35

to qualify you to make sure that, hey,

30:37

I'm going to holla. 10

30:40

,000 pound skid loader. Well, then you can't go

30:42

on a 7 ,000 pound trailer. It may fit on

30:44

there, but it's not within the capabilities of

30:46

that trailer. Or if you're going out to do

30:48

your food plot and you want to have a

30:50

tractor and some attachments and stuff, we want to

30:52

make sure that you've got the capacity there to

30:54

take care of that. We

30:57

really feel that our dealers do a

30:59

great job for us. They're

31:01

very familiar with what it's going to

31:04

take to help you get your job

31:06

done and works best for us. We

31:08

feel where the experts at the manufacturing side of

31:10

it, and the dealers are the experts at making

31:12

sure they get the customer taken care of on

31:14

that side of it. Right on. We about to

31:17

become an Aluma dealer right now, Eric. Sure. Put

31:19

them on the roof. Hey, we've got dealership opportunities

31:21

available throughout the country. So just looking for this

31:23

lot right here and put them right on Main

31:26

Street. Just flatten out the gas station right here.

31:28

Put a gravel lot in. What's that? That'd be

31:30

a nice look. I like that. I don't many.

31:32

how many every day. Shader's definitely better than that

31:34

gas station, that's for sure. Now, I might have

31:36

missed this on the first podcast. What year did

31:38

you guys start? How old is this company? Let's

31:41

see. Aluma is, we're about 30. little

31:44

over 30 years old right now, so. A

31:47

gentleman named Dean Mashov started Aluma a

31:49

long time ago, and he kind of started

31:51

it in his garage. So it's one

31:53

of those stories about a guy who started

31:55

it in his garage. Dean was

31:57

an expert in the aluminum field. He

31:59

was an engineer, and he had worked with

32:02

Winnebago Industries at one time in Forest

32:04

City, Iowa, which is close to where our

32:06

factory is in Bancroft, Iowa, in Emmitsburg,

32:08

Iowa. To

32:10

make a long story short, Dean kept working with

32:12

different extrusions and stuff, and he had a couple

32:14

of people approached him that wanted a small trailer

32:16

for golf carts. And that's

32:18

what Aluma started with, and

32:20

it's growing from that point. Golf cart

32:22

trailers. And still a family -owned company,

32:24

the Lloyd family. Mike

32:27

and Kevin and their sister

32:29

Lori own Aluma today. And

32:32

they've done a great job with

32:34

it, and we're about 200 employees strong

32:36

right now. Nice. Two locations, both

32:38

in Iowa. It's

32:41

been a good company to

32:43

work with. I know last

32:45

time you said there was a couple people

32:47

that listened to the podcast, hopefully they still do,

32:50

that worked in the facility. Yeah. They're probably

32:52

like, these guys are idiots. We're done. I

32:55

was surprised how many people came back and

32:57

say, hey, we saw you on that podcast. That's

32:59

cool. Shout out to you guys listening in

33:01

there. That's awesome. I'd like to come up and

33:03

see it. We would love to have you

33:05

come up and. two of the factories. We love

33:07

to have our dealers, you know, typically anybody

33:09

that wants to come through and tour will make

33:11

arrangements for them to come through the factory.

33:13

Yeah, that'd be fun. I love it. Coming from

33:15

a factory background and welding background. Yeah, great.

33:17

We've had some exciting stuff going on at the

33:19

factories. We've been investing in some new technology

33:21

and some new robotics. We're

33:23

just in the process of putting a new laser

33:25

in. Oh, sweet. And that's

33:27

going to be really fun to see

33:29

what You know what we can

33:32

do with that anything just like experiment

33:34

with parts from well I'm excited

33:36

about from the R &D standpoint The

33:38

production managers and stuff. They're very excited

33:40

about what parts that we can

33:42

make in -house and have better quality

33:44

control Yeah, and not that we don't

33:46

have really good vendors that we

33:48

work with but it's always nice anytime

33:50

you can do stuff in -house. Yes,

33:52

so we've been doing a pretty

33:54

good job. Sweet investing the Owners money

33:56

here. We got a new

33:58

some new robotics that are really cool

34:00

to we're getting ready to to Robotically weld

34:02

one of our bigger trailers from start

34:04

to finish. Oh, that's gonna be really neat

34:06

to see so yeah guys like Eric

34:08

and I are trying to weld them or

34:11

just like that's it get the robot.

34:13

Yeah You're done get right here The interesting

34:15

part is it's you know, you think

34:17

you're gonna put robotics in and people get

34:19

a little concerned sometimes whether it's gonna

34:21

affect their jobs or not. Yeah, but It

34:23

really never does. It helps you grow.

34:25

It helps you get better at what you

34:27

do and you find new places for

34:30

those people to work or they can use

34:32

their expertise. It's

34:34

really fun to see some of the new

34:36

technology come into the manufacturing sector and to see

34:38

what we can do with it in our

34:40

side of the world. It's been fun to watch.

34:42

Do you guys get worried about any of

34:44

the tariff stuff or anything like that? We're

34:47

kind of dealing with that right now. Uh,

34:50

you know, honest question. I mean, I don't

34:52

know. Everyone probably is out there. Um, everybody's

34:54

been asking lately. Our dealer's been asking, trying

34:56

to figure out, you know, where does it

34:58

leave them at? And, um, honestly, I don't

35:00

think it's going to be, uh, real bad.

35:03

We're probably going to see a small price increase. Sure.

35:05

It's not minimal stuff though, because I mean, you

35:07

guys are doing it all in America. Yeah, we do.

35:09

A lot of it's American made. There are some

35:11

trailer parts that are, that are come from different parts

35:13

of the country that are different parts of the

35:16

world that we're going to have tariffs on. So

35:18

we'll have a price increase, but it's not

35:20

going to be a major price increase. It's not

35:22

going to be 25 % like a lot of

35:24

people have been worried about out there. But

35:27

yes, we will have, I think we're

35:29

going to probably see around a 5 %

35:31

price increase. You

35:33

know, it is what it is. It's for

35:35

the time being that all I don't know. I

35:37

have faith maybe I have faith too That's

35:39

all gonna come back around and yeah, you know

35:42

at the end of the day. It is

35:44

what it is and we're not talking Ukrainian made

35:46

trailers here, baby We're talking a luma American

35:48

made. There's a there's a new plug in there

35:50

somehow you getting your trailer from Russia. No

35:52

American made It's American

35:54

made good Iowa product.

35:56

Yeah midwestern Screw the

35:58

tariffs. We're made right

36:00

here There's a fun

36:03

Really loud 4th of July ad that I can

36:05

read for you guys if you're interested There

36:07

you go. Call me I can do it the

36:10

same thing with the acid wash videos. I'm

36:12

full of ideas, you know, I'm gonna go

36:14

back with a whole bunch of new stuff Yeah,

36:16

I'm gonna blow your guys's mind when you're

36:18

a genius. Where'd you come up with all

36:20

this? Just

36:22

take all my ideas doesn't give you

36:24

any credit form I do want to get

36:26

out there and see it though. Yeah,

36:28

I think We would love to have you

36:30

guys come out and visit. I want

36:33

to see Eric weld against some of the

36:35

welders at Illuma. That'd be fun. I

36:37

ain't that good. I want to see a

36:39

weld off. A weld off? Give me

36:41

a hood. Let's go. Just awesome

36:43

stuff that you made a little bit ago. It looked

36:45

pretty neat. You and I can jump in

36:47

so I can really make fun of us. Oh,

36:49

I'm in. It'll make Eric look really good. Yeah, yeah,

36:51

yeah. All right. Could we do that? Could

36:53

we have an Illuma off? can set it up. We can set it

36:55

up. You guys come out. We'll set it up. Who's a better

36:57

welder, me or Doug, you think? Probably

37:00

you for sure. I'm better while they're in Doug. I

37:02

know that. Doug can't even back up a trailer. What

37:04

are we talking about? That's true. He's not here, so

37:06

we gotta make fun him. Oh, do a weld off

37:08

and then a trailer backing competition. Just test our manhood.

37:11

He will lose the trailer backing

37:13

up for sure. I'll lose it

37:15

just because I'm under pressure. I'll be better

37:17

than Doug, but... Not me. I'll back her

37:19

right in there. You do pretty good. All

37:21

right, that'd be fun. Could we do that?

37:23

Line up a weld off? Absolutely. Give

37:26

everybody a break. We just come into rest.

37:28

We can even get it and we can

37:30

record it so you guys can have even

37:32

more fun There we go Jordan will come

37:34

in. That's a great idea. We'll just disrupt

37:36

the entire day of work at a lift

37:38

month Don't bring those guys back We got

37:40

nothing done today. We show up with beer

37:42

like shut that damn robot or let that

37:45

robot do all the well and get out

37:47

here Cook at hot dogs in the parking

37:49

lot We'd probably win we probably leave pretty

37:51

cool to the Lumo staff after that. They

37:53

would probably like that. The upper ups, the

37:55

higher ups might not like us, but. Oh,

37:57

well, we. They actually get

37:59

used to it. We're here for the people.

38:02

They'll get over here, right? Yeah, that's right.

38:04

That's right. See, I'd be interested in doing

38:06

that because I've never welded aluminum. Oh,

38:08

it's finicky. I never have either. I bet

38:10

it'd be easy to burn through on that. You

38:12

guys do all big welding there, right? Oh,

38:14

why? No TIG welding or anything? No TIG welding,

38:16

right. So let's break it down a little

38:18

bit from your perspective. So, uh, yeah. What

38:21

they're doing is just like you would like

38:23

a big water for steel just got the

38:25

gun with the wire coming out of it

38:27

Yep, but the TIG water you got a

38:29

foot pedal a torch and filler wire So

38:31

you're doing three things at once, you know

38:33

the way they're doing is way more efficient

38:36

faster Yeah, see I've never I've never done

38:38

that I've never done TIG machines have changed

38:40

so much to you know our production managers

38:42

back at the factory could you know they're

38:44

they're They know a lot more about it

38:46

than I'll ever dream of. But

38:48

they're always looking at what

38:50

technology is out there that

38:52

the welding companies are coming

38:55

out with. new

38:58

mixtures of gas and stuff that

39:00

the companies that provide us with that

39:02

product are looking at. There's

39:05

new wires, there's all kinds of stuff when

39:07

it comes to welding. You think it's really simple,

39:09

but there's really a lot to it from

39:11

the engineering standpoint of it. What

39:13

you can do with the computer

39:15

programming on engineering and being able

39:18

to print 3D models, now

39:20

we can print We can come up

39:22

with conceptual ideas in the R &D side of it.

39:24

And then we can go back and print the 3D

39:26

pieces of it and see how it's all going to

39:29

fit together. Yeah. Aluma is not using

39:31

very many common shapes and sizes. Almost all

39:33

of our product, if you look at it,

39:35

is put together with the extrusions that our engineering

39:37

team has designed. And so

39:39

that that's really what separates us from

39:41

kind of some of our competitors out

39:43

there. And

39:45

having the 3D Printing

39:47

process being able to do that's really

39:50

helped speed up that process and made a

39:52

lot more efficient. So nice It's fun

39:54

to watch that stuff and oh, yeah, and

39:56

to see what technology is doing. It's

39:58

it's really neat Yeah, I just find that

40:00

type of conversation interesting because most people

40:02

listening to this are gonna work I mean,

40:04

I bet you a good percentage of

40:06

our listeners kind of Working a field similar

40:08

to like what we're talking about not

40:10

exactly. We a ton of welders that listen

40:12

a ton of well There's a ton

40:14

of guys that work in like factories facility

40:17

stuff So I think it's it's good

40:19

to focus on that type of thing every

40:21

once in a while because we get

40:23

into some of that with like the tree

40:25

stand mobile hunting stuff But not everybody

40:27

wants to talk about exactly with what they're

40:29

doing like There's a new product. I

40:31

don't know if it's a new Product technically

40:33

from a material standpoint Magnite is what

40:35

it's called and it's like, it's new to

40:37

the hunting industry. It's this ultra light,

40:39

stronger than aluminum, but lighter than aluminum type

40:41

product and it's like a - I don't

40:44

even understand it to be honest with

40:46

you, but it's badass. It's like

40:48

a blend of metals pretty much. Yeah. But

40:50

a lot of them, they do it like, now they're doing

40:52

like the forms. See, I don't know if I'm supposed to

40:54

talk about this. Um,

40:57

so I just caught myself might

40:59

want to stop It's not the see

41:01

that's yet. That's the way that's

41:03

I'm proving my point exactly. Yes They

41:05

don't want to talk about it

41:07

all the time and like their process

41:10

and how they manufacture and stuff

41:12

Yeah, never mind. I can't you know,

41:14

there's a lot of things and

41:16

people just say well It's a welding

41:18

job. There's really not any it's

41:20

just a welding job. There's a lot more to

41:22

it those those welders the guys and the

41:24

gals they're They go through

41:26

we go through quite a training process at

41:28

our facility when they come in especially the

41:31

aluminum. Yeah, and there's a lot to it

41:33

Yeah, it's not something that that everybody can

41:35

do it takes someone that's that's got that

41:37

knack and that can yeah, because like with

41:39

aluminum I mean when you're well and steel

41:41

you can have your settings Close it didn't

41:43

get by with it with aluminum. It's got

41:45

to be you're saying you got to be

41:48

doing that to ask that to make that

41:50

So there's a lot more to it than

41:52

people think there's The welders that are

41:54

really good at it. It's it's a it's a

41:56

talent to have that. Yeah, you don't want me in

41:58

there with a stick welder just bird shitting all

42:00

over. Look like bubble

42:02

gum. Just

42:04

trying to keep

42:06

keep it going. Yeah,

42:09

I don't know. It is. There's definitely a skill

42:11

to And guys that are good, you can tell

42:13

guys that are good and guys who just are

42:15

just trying to get metal. I was admiring some

42:17

of the welds on the trailer out there. They're

42:19

clean. It looks really nice. Yeah. Yeah. We're gonna

42:21

have that weld off, baby. That's gonna be fun

42:23

to it. That would be a good that'd be

42:25

a fun You're gonna have a lot of listeners

42:27

that are gonna get into that I think a

42:29

lot of guys would want to see that I'm

42:31

a shit welder like I can do I'm not

42:33

very good at it either. I'm a farmer welder

42:35

dude. I've been used to like an old arc

42:37

machine That's what I grew up. I'm still I

42:39

just started using a mig like two years ago

42:41

And I have done very minimal work with it.

42:43

So I'm a rookie I'm probably considered like a

42:45

farm welder too. You know just get her stick

42:48

I'll stick while the aluminum you guys can make

42:50

it. We'll see which one's better. I guarantee you

42:52

yours is good Yeah, for sure it would be

42:54

stick while no is even weirder Yeah, that's like

42:56

that just came out like two years ago. It's

42:59

that recent. Yeah, I like stick well, you know,

43:01

I mean as far as I know So it

43:03

just takes like the extra hand with the filler

43:05

rod and puts it all no that's take welding

43:07

stick welding's like where you put the stick in

43:09

the stinger I know that what I'm saying like

43:11

an arc. It's like an arc welder kind of

43:13

For the aluminum rod for stick welding, they just

43:16

came out with it, not that long ago. what

43:18

I'm saying. It kind of replaces the filler rod

43:20

in the gun and puts it all in one

43:22

stick for aluminum. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's what

43:24

I meant. It's got a flux on it and

43:26

everything. It's weird. See, that's just, I don't,

43:28

I'd have to do it. I'm just, I'm screwed all

43:30

up. You guys just have fun coming to the factory. It

43:32

sounds like it, right? We're all just talking. Oh yeah,

43:34

back to, sorry, Al, back to trailers. It's

43:38

just, you know, it's in that blue collar

43:40

like DNA, you know, it's just kind of neat.

43:44

You know, I must run with some of that

43:46

at deer, but it's like all that broke

43:48

is just get it back to one piece of

43:50

metal again. It's not right. Stick it

43:52

back together. Just hit it with green paint while it's

43:54

still hot. Again,

43:56

that's why I'm a welder, not a carpenter, because I

43:58

can't weld wood back together. That's

44:01

a whole deal. But yeah, I mean,

44:03

a woman's got everything for everybody pretty

44:05

much. We do if you go. If

44:08

you look at some of the products that

44:10

we just came out with recently, they're maybe a

44:12

little bit more regional. We've got a drive

44:14

over fender product that when you go out west,

44:16

that product's been really, really popular. Some

44:18

of the sand buggies and they

44:21

can put those on the drive over

44:23

fender product. You got this one right

44:25

here? Yeah, we do it in a single axle, which

44:27

is really awesome and a 15 foot single. And we

44:29

also do it in a tandem axle all the way

44:31

up to a 28 foot long. So

44:33

you can load multiple machines on it. It's

44:36

just a neat product that that

44:38

drive over fender is a neat

44:40

extrusion that we're using there that

44:42

our engineering team designed. If

44:45

you've got a bigger vehicle like that,

44:47

like a Raptor or something like that that

44:49

you want to haul, it's got the

44:51

ability to have you can drive over it

44:53

and still have it on an open

44:55

trailer, which a lot of times you haven't

44:57

been able to do with with the

45:00

aluminum trailers anyway. Yeah. So. Pretty

45:02

neat product. Yeah, it's sweet. It's very

45:04

cool. It's a Definitely coming handy has a

45:07

loom ever talked about doing in clothes

45:09

trailers or have you guys ever in the

45:11

past we used to building clothes trailers

45:13

and Why'd you laugh at that question? Because

45:15

still get asked all the time if

45:17

we're gonna go back and build in clothes

45:19

trailers But we're really happy right now

45:21

in the segment of the market that we're

45:24

in doing. We're really

45:26

focused on all open

45:28

trailers and trying to provide our dealers

45:30

and our customers with the very

45:32

best from a small trailer. We started

45:34

a 486 model, which is four

45:36

foot by six foot all the way

45:38

up to deck over 30 foot

45:40

trailers on the 14 create K trailers,

45:42

just like what you guys just

45:44

got. So we're really

45:46

focused on that side of the

45:48

market. We made that

45:50

decision a little bit

45:53

before COVID and I think

45:55

it's been a good decision for a luma.

45:57

It just gave us the opportunity to really zone

45:59

in on that segment of the market Yeah,

46:01

right and get even more specialized there. So yeah,

46:03

I had to ask, you know, we see

46:05

a lot of enclosed trailers Yeah, and I'm gonna

46:07

hear about it. I'll hear about it from

46:09

all those guys that wanted an aluminum closed yet

46:12

And I was one of them. I wanted

46:14

one more them. I never got to be man

46:16

You buff that baby up and be like

46:18

walking up and looking in a mirror. Yeah I

46:20

was thinking from one selfishly for us traveling

46:22

the shows but Like

46:24

hunting camp rigs where you can like

46:26

always going to sleep in the trailer

46:29

while we're out west hunting, you know,

46:31

it's like Let's crawl into the Illuma

46:33

and close trailer. Yeah, it's got a

46:35

good ring to it The there's a

46:37

lot of guys you use them to

46:39

haul decoys with Yeah, you know stuff

46:41

like that. It was they were handy.

46:43

They're really handy. That is nice I

46:45

had to ask. Yeah. Yeah

46:47

And it's our sponsors a laugh. Don't

46:49

ask that But yeah, man, I'm

46:51

stoked on it. I think it's a

46:53

Excited. I'm sure there's a lot

46:55

of hunters that work at Aluma. We

46:57

got a lot of hunters there

46:59

from both guys and gals at her

47:01

hunters. In fact, one of

47:03

the gals that works upstairs in the

47:05

sales office is a hunter. And so she

47:07

was interested when we were doing the

47:09

she found out we were doing the first

47:12

podcast. So it brought her along. Yeah.

47:14

So shout out to Megan. She's she's a

47:16

hunter. Hi, Megan. That's cool. Sorry,

47:18

you got to work with all the guys at Aluma. I'm sure they're

47:20

great. Yeah,

47:22

she'll quit listening, or if she listens to

47:24

the one, it might be the only one

47:26

she's ever listened to. She's a good sport,

47:28

so she will come in do the well

47:31

off and disrupt the piece of the luma.

47:33

She'll be like, never bring those idiots here

47:35

again. Scoot down there a little bit. Yeah,

47:37

was gonna say, I want to talk about

47:39

these these beds, these flat beds. Yeah, luma

47:41

also builds a truck bed. Dude,

47:44

those are. I like that. Yeah, all

47:46

aluminum truck bed that we do a lot

47:48

of them that go on people that

47:50

have pickups that want to take the box

47:52

off. And

47:54

we saw a lot of beds for that purpose.

47:57

We also actually do a UTV bed. Wow.

48:00

Oh, we had some people come back to

48:02

us that had maybe damaged their factory bed

48:04

on it or wanted having a little more

48:06

versatility work. They could take the sides on

48:08

and off. Yeah, that'd be nice. We just

48:10

came with that product. So that's oh, damn,

48:12

that's huge. So it's kind of cool. So

48:15

that could be like a box and a

48:17

flat bed for your. Side -by -side. Dude, how

48:19

heavy would that be? Heavy hand -years, yeah. On

48:21

the side -by -sides. They fit on any side -by -side or

48:23

do you make them for the... We tried to make

48:25

it as universal as we possibly could. That

48:28

one says 60 by 45 for the dimensions.

48:30

Yeah, the bed size is pretty easy to

48:32

get fairly universal. The mounting of it, it's

48:34

going to take a little bit of fabrication

48:36

from the dealer side or from the person

48:38

installing it. But not... I

48:40

mean, we tried to make it, again,

48:43

as universal as we can. So some of the mounting

48:45

brackets and stuff can slide on it. to

48:47

make it a little bit more universal, but

48:49

there's still going to be some fabrication that needs

48:51

to be done depending on the machine that

48:53

you're putting it on. Right, right. There's so many

48:55

different kinds of machines out there, and even

48:57

if you go like, you

48:59

know, players has a very large market share, you go

49:01

from one players to another, there's It can be a

49:04

little bit different. Yeah, they can be just a little

49:06

bit different. And so you have to do a little

49:08

fabrication there. That's awesome, though. That'd be the shit for

49:10

loading a deer in the back of a side by

49:12

side. Yeah, yeah. Dude, I'm looking at some of the

49:14

weights on these flatbeds. Look at that. Like that 8100

49:16

series with the full tail light and everything is under

49:18

300 pounds, it says. Right. That

49:20

is light. And it's all aluminum construction

49:23

there, all LED lights. One

49:25

neat thing about our truck beds is they have

49:27

a sliding rail system underneath so it doesn't you

49:29

can put it on any, any chassis. Okay, rather.

49:31

It's a Ford Chevy Dodge, whatever it can go

49:33

on in and the neat thing about is let's

49:35

say you're driving a Chevy today and next time

49:37

you trade you trade for a Ford or a

49:39

Dodge or whatever you take it off and put

49:41

on that one and move it over, right? No

49:43

shit. I'm gonna be in the market for one

49:45

of them here soon. You put it on the

49:47

Chevy. It's a neat product. That's my box for

49:49

us out. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I was gonna build

49:51

one, but I'm like, hell, this is a way

49:53

idea. Take care of you. Yeah. Dude,

49:55

that's sweet. That look awesome. You know what

49:57

my favorite is and you see little Ford Rangers

49:59

that got a flatbed on it. We build

50:02

one for that. That's

50:04

amazing picnic tables and benches. We're trying

50:06

to get picnic tables. We do a lot

50:08

of picnic tables. If you

50:10

want a picnic table, it's going to last your lifetime.

50:13

That one is that one is it and then going

50:15

nowhere. That's awesome. The

50:17

flatbed thing is intriguing. It is. I like

50:19

that. And then you can do all the upgrades

50:21

with the accessories and stuff like that. Yeah,

50:23

we can do, you know, one of the things

50:25

that is a little bit unique with the

50:27

Lumas. We have a lot of front side racks,

50:29

front rock guards, or side rack kits that

50:31

you can do. We do side rack kits from

50:33

a 12 inch solid side rack kit up

50:35

to a 24 inch solid side rack kit. So

50:37

go back to talking about guys that are

50:39

going to throw decoys in. They can throw those

50:41

in with the side rack kits on there

50:43

and keep their load secured that way. Yeah. Yeah.

50:45

I've seen some guys do that and it

50:47

works really well for them. It's kind of cool.

50:49

Yeah, you offer all these options, too. If

50:51

someone buys one and then they want to add

50:53

it on later. Yeah, they can add it

50:55

on later. That's one thing that's kind of neat.

50:57

If you buy a trailer today and two

50:59

years from now, you want to add a side

51:01

rack kit, you can do that. Yeah, that's

51:03

cool. It's very cool. We'll have to get our

51:05

trailer all. It's already pimped out. I don't

51:07

really do anything to it. It's going to have

51:10

everything we need. I'm going to

51:12

be worried more about the trailer than anything else that's

51:14

going to be with the tractor or the truck,

51:16

you know, so rolling style. I'm not really used to

51:18

the tilt trailer, but we were talking about it

51:20

out there. It's got a cool feature with that. It's

51:22

got a valve on it that you can kind

51:24

of adjust the speed of how. fast the tilt comes

51:26

down on it. Yeah, you can do that. And

51:28

you can also lock it. You know, one of the

51:31

things that people talk about with the tilt trailers,

51:33

they're like, well, we want to use it for multiple

51:35

items. Well, a lot of times with the old

51:37

style tilts, you put something on there. As soon as

51:39

you got the weight over center that that tilt

51:41

beds going down, then you couldn't load your second piece

51:43

of equipment or whatever you wanted to. Yeah. This

51:46

particular valve gives you the ability to

51:48

lock it in the upright position. So you

51:50

can load your first piece of equipment

51:52

on and keep it in that upright position,

51:54

come back, load your second piece on,

51:56

then let the valve bring the bed down.

51:58

So yeah, that's huge. Works really well.

52:00

It's a nice feature on there. So when

52:02

you get off and you undo the

52:05

latches, you just hit that valve and it'll

52:07

tilt it. And then actually when you

52:09

have to tilt it manually, you just tilt

52:11

it manually and step on the back

52:13

will come down nice and gradual. It's

52:15

all hydraulic system, so on that trailer that you

52:17

got, you can step on the back, bring it

52:19

down. If you walk up to the

52:21

front of the trailer, it'll come down nice and slow,

52:23

just like if you were loading your skid loader

52:26

on it, a tractor on it, a vehicle on it,

52:28

as you come up, once you hit that center

52:30

of gravity, you've got the vehicle up there, it'll just

52:32

nice and slowly come down. So got a cushion

52:34

down. Sweet. That'd be nice with the

52:36

skid steer that I have that's got tracks

52:38

on it. On a traditional trailer, you got that

52:40

hump and you come up and you're always

52:42

feel like you're going to go over backwards. Yeah.

52:45

And so with something like this, it'd be so

52:47

nice for loading. The first time on a tow

52:49

trailer with anything you feel like, because you're straight

52:51

at the area and you're like, is it going

52:54

to go down? Is it going to go down?

52:56

Yeah. And it finally starts to go like, he's

52:58

getting worried there for a second. Yeah, that's nice.

53:00

Yeah, it's going to be like Cadillac. It's

53:02

a Cadillac. Yes, it is. It's a very

53:04

nice trailer. I'm excited. I think a Rolls

53:06

Royce. You're going to have fun with it.

53:08

Yeah. Oh, I can't wait, man. I mean,

53:10

shit. What are we talking here next? I'll

53:13

put borderline in right after we

53:15

chase some turkeys. So

53:17

about a month, a lot of borderline in.

53:19

Yep. This nice weather makes me feel like

53:22

I'm behind. Yeah. Well, you'll want to test

53:24

it out. You'll put the mower on and

53:26

go out and do some mowing and test

53:28

it out. this weekend. Probably tomorrow. Yeah.

53:30

You know. Like it's going to

53:32

be a problem. Oh, yeah. I love a good

53:34

problem. a good problem. I have a great problem. So,

53:36

yeah, except for the pressure on my farm, I'm to

53:39

be on there pushing shit around. All the diesel you're

53:41

going through because you're just driving around with this thing.

53:43

Oh, it just makes it easier. But I'll be honest,

53:45

man, like sometimes loading everything up that other trailer, it's

53:47

like, I'm getting the thing out. Right. Yeah, this would

53:49

be nice. You know what I mean? It's one of

53:51

them deals, but. I don't know. It's going to be

53:53

exciting. It's going to be fun for sure. It is

53:55

going to be a good time. Hey,

53:57

for I forget, I appreciate your guys' partnership.

54:00

And we got you a bottle. I know you can't

54:02

drink it because you're at work. But

54:04

when you get home or if you can

54:06

have this at the office for the guys, we

54:08

got you a bottle of our kill bottle

54:10

whiskey. All right. So that's from Ledrock Distillery up

54:12

in Wisconsin. Cool. Thank you,

54:14

guys. Yeah. So I wanted you to have

54:16

that for coming out. I might know

54:18

somebody that likes bourbon. You think so? I'm

54:21

not sure there's a couple guys over at Luma that like

54:23

it. It's a great old -fashioned.

54:25

Yes. Kill bottle old -fashioned.

54:27

There we go. So hopefully

54:29

you'll like that. We were up

54:31

in Wisconsin last weekend. By

54:33

the time this airs, it won't seem

54:36

like last weekend. But we sold almost

54:38

300 bottles of that stuff. That's really

54:40

cool. So pretty thankful for everybody supporting

54:42

that. It's a good

54:44

bourbon. I think everyone doubts that it's good

54:46

because it's our names on it, but That

54:48

should be the best that way, right? That's

54:50

right. Yeah, it's but as good as our

54:52

podcasts. It's good for some people and not

54:55

good for others Good thing the guy that's

54:57

distilling it knows what he's doing. That's right

54:59

Yeah, he really does he cares. He's a

55:01

passionate passionate guy. Shout out me too. That's

55:03

coming from Wisconsin. So yeah fond of like

55:05

close to home We had one guy like,

55:07

you know it can't be bourbon if it's

55:09

not from Kentucky. Like, shut up. It

55:12

tastes like bourbon. It's

55:14

bourbon. Yeah. Some

55:17

people are just crazy. Yeah. So yeah,

55:19

we appreciate your guys' partnership. We appreciate it,

55:21

too. Hope everybody can

55:23

use our trailers and enjoy them out in

55:25

the field. And we love hearing the

55:27

stories back from how people do use them.

55:29

So if you ever want to send

55:31

pictures back, we love seeing that at the

55:33

factory. The people that work in the

55:35

factory love seeing what the trailers that they're

55:37

building every day are being used for.

55:39

And it's fun to see how they're actually

55:41

putting them in. to a day -to

55:43

-day use, all the different things that they're able

55:45

to use them for. Okay, I'm gonna write this

55:47

down. My goal for the middle, we do a

55:49

hunting camp every November, we call middle of the

55:51

map, hunt crew. We have people from out of

55:53

town come and hunt with us, or not really

55:55

with us, but in the area, you know? And

55:58

sometimes, not in the area, they just stay here and

56:00

make, we make camp out of it. We'll see if

56:02

we kill some deer in like a two, three day

56:04

span, we still have the deer hanging, we'll have to

56:06

get them all on this trailer. That'd be cool to

56:08

see. And do like a buck photo of like a

56:10

bunch of deer lined up on the aluma. We

56:12

should that would be sweet. We should deck

56:14

the aluminum the loom out for the parade

56:17

Oh, yeah for the parade. Yeah a little

56:19

float. Yeah, that's a good idea That things

56:21

long enough we could pull a couple side

56:23

-by -sides up on it and have half the

56:25

crew and the side -by -sides and the kids

56:27

and that'd be fun It could be a

56:29

good time. Okay, something to think about there.

56:31

Yeah, put a pink get a pink table

56:33

for them. You got pictures that for sure

56:35

Yeah, yeah, the parade's right here on the

56:37

main drag. So it's kind of fun. There

56:39

you go. It's a neat thing Yeah, I

56:41

have to figure that out. A lot of

56:43

cool things we could do, you

56:45

know? So, yeah. Anything you want

56:47

to plug before we get out of here?

56:49

Not to cut a short... You know, again, we

56:51

appreciate our partnership with you guys as well

56:53

and all of our customers that are hunters out

56:55

there. We appreciate you guys using our trailers

56:58

and it's a good American -made product. That's

57:00

right. Thanks, man. You bet. Thank you. Aluma,

57:02

we're coming for you. Aluma, welled

57:04

off. With WCB, just go there

57:06

and embarrass the shit out of ourselves

57:08

at the factory. Making America's

57:10

funniest home videos right here. It's like one

57:13

of those idiots came up here and tried

57:15

to weld against us. My walls are the

57:17

shittiest. Somehow. Eric

57:19

caved under the pressure. Turned

57:22

the gas off. Yeah, just bad. It

57:25

sabotaged me. What do you got, Austin? Oh

57:27

man, that was fun. Looking forward

57:29

to using the product and that's an exciting partnership. I'm

57:31

pretty pumped for that one. We'll let you borrow

57:33

it, see. I appreciate it. Because I know you're

57:35

going to buy one. I'll use it for sure. be

57:39

looking forward to all your guys' feedback after

57:41

you've had a chance to use it. Yeah, we're

57:43

excited. Yeah, definitely excited. Cool. You got anything?

57:45

Nope, we're good. All right. Thanks everybody for tuning
