Were you aware of how many

0:02

hormone disruptors are hiding around

0:04

us in our daily routine and

0:06

in our environment? Wild. I

0:08

mean, there are over a thousand

0:10

environmental disruptors affecting us right

0:12

now in our food, our water,

0:14

the air we breathe, our

0:16

clothes, and even our skincare. And

0:18

these disruptors can interfere with

0:20

our hormone levels leading to frustrating

0:22

symptoms, which you may be

0:25

familiar with. And that is where

0:27

hormone harmony comes in and

0:29

that is why I love it.

0:31

I mean hormone harmony uses

0:33

powerful herbal extracts that are backed

0:35

by science for their ability

0:37

to help the body adapt to

0:39

stress, including those associated with

0:41

hormone changes throughout a woman's life.

0:43

Hormone harmony is crafted to

0:45

support women of all ages helping

0:47

to manage challenges like PMS -related

0:50

irritability or mild mood swings

0:52

and cravings. Hence why I love

0:54

it. That is my main

0:56

reason for taking hormone harmony but

0:58

also menopause -related hot flashes and

1:00

sleeplessness, low energy and feelings

1:02

of fatigue, occasional bloating or discomfort,

1:04

or a dip in your

1:06

desire for intimacy. So Happy Mammoth,

1:08

the creators of hormone harmony,

1:10

are committed to empowering women with

1:12

science -backed solutions. They use only

1:15

high quality nature -inspired ingredients that

1:17

work to maintain optimal hormone

1:19

levels and promote our general well

1:21

-being. So appreciate it. Clearly, it

1:23

is no wonder hormone harmony

1:25

has become a sensation and women

1:27

can't stop talking about it.

2:00

flower say like a rose versus

2:02

like a peony or a daisy like

2:04

which one is more beautiful it's

2:06

so subjective which one is better like

2:08

there's no better there's no more

2:10

beautiful each one is just unique

2:12

and actually if you put a bunch

2:14

of different flowers together they make a

2:16

really cute bouquet and it actually enhances

2:18

like the beauty right so rather than

2:20

trying to be something you're not or comparing

2:23

yourself to another just know that

2:25

it's impossible to compare yourself to

2:27

someone else because you're so different

2:30

first I wanted to

2:32

bring something to light to

2:34

just elaborate how your energy

2:37

has truly helped me pave

2:39

the way in this co -creation

2:41

of this life I live

2:43

now this have in this

2:45

podcast and everything else that's

2:48

about to unfold so just

2:50

a quick story when I

2:52

watched you two years ago

2:54

on YouTube and listen

2:56

to your podcast something about

2:58

you your rhetoric and

3:00

you living and sharing from

3:02

your heart and your soul

3:04

really inspired me and I

3:07

realized that it was not

3:09

only a beautiful reflection of

3:11

my unmet self a part

3:13

of myself that I didn't

3:15

even know really existed yet but

3:17

you really stood as a term

3:19

that I like to call an

3:22

expander which is a term a

3:24

past guest of mine Lacey Phillips

3:26

uses to reference someone who embodies

3:28

a part of yourself that you

3:30

just may not have believed was

3:32

even possible or achievable I didn't

3:34

know there was a word for

3:36

that well I don't know if

3:38

there really was expander yeah you've

3:41

helped me paint this picture that

3:43

is now it's a part of

3:45

my life now for a little over

3:47

a year and of course

3:49

my picture has my own

3:51

unique colors and gifts but

3:53

thank you for helping

3:56

me realize that this was possible and

3:58

that's why I want the listening to

4:00

perhaps not only be inspired, but

4:02

also expanded if it resonates with

4:04

their soul to listen to your

4:06

story and what inspired you and

4:09

perhaps also who expanded you to

4:11

make you realize that you are

4:13

worthy and why did you dedicate

4:16

your life to what you do

4:18

today? Well first of all thank

4:20

you for that very sweet and

4:22

kind intro I feel like whatever

4:25

people tell me nice things like

4:27

that like I changed their life

4:29

and they've transformed it's it's almost unbelievable

4:31

to me but of course it's I

4:34

don't know I just feel so flattered

4:36

but I can't take all the credit

4:38

because it's not me it was you

4:40

that that did the changing I was

4:42

just there sharing my story but it's

4:44

nice how we can all like touch

4:47

each other's lives and connect in that

4:49

weird way. those kind of things. Anyway,

4:51

my story goes back to, I guess

4:53

you could say, I guess college, we

4:55

can start from there. I think growing

4:58

up, I was following all the rules

5:00

of life, you know, your parents told

5:02

you to do good in school, to

5:04

get into a good college, so you

5:06

could get a good job, get paid

5:08

well, and live a great life. So

5:10

that's kind of like the step by

5:13

step thing that I followed. when

5:15

I was in college I was

5:17

completely lost. I started doing all

5:19

these internships because all my friends

5:21

started doing internships just to figure

5:23

out what I wanted to do with

5:25

my life and I think I do very

5:28

well when someone gives me like a

5:30

syllabus and like study this this and

5:32

this and then like I was like

5:34

a really good student but what was

5:36

what kind of threw me off guard was

5:38

life you know just the fact that it was

5:40

all up to you to decide what to

5:43

do with your life and that like

5:45

that space like terrified me like I

5:47

was so paralyzed by fear because I

5:50

was like who am I what do

5:52

I do I don't understand and I

5:54

think I've always been more of a

5:57

shy person I've never been super confident

5:59

always tended to like want to blend

6:01

in rather than stand out. So

6:03

it took me longer to find

6:05

my own self, my own self

6:07

worth and confidence and everything. So

6:09

it was, I guess, around

6:11

the senior year of college, I

6:13

started to read a lot of

6:16

self -help books because I knew

6:18

that if I were to take a

6:20

regular job like all of my peers,

6:22

I would hate my life because I

6:24

hated all my internships. And the problem

6:26

was I didn't know what else to

6:28

do instead. So I read all of

6:31

these books, like how to leave your

6:33

job and create your dream job, like

6:35

books like that before I even started

6:37

working because I was like thinking ahead

6:39

of myself. And I stumbled upon these

6:41

concepts of purpose and just all of

6:43

these self -help terms that we're so familiar

6:45

with today, it was completely new to

6:48

me then. So what I did instead

6:50

is I just ventured off and I

6:52

decided to, for the first time in

6:54

my life, not listen to the people

6:56

around me, but just try to listen

6:58

to my heart and what it was

7:00

telling me. And it led me through

7:02

all, yeah, it led me through all

7:04

of these random paths of pursuing music,

7:06

acting, doing marketing for like a food

7:08

event, meeting a lot of different people,

7:10

doing a bunch of different things. And

7:12

I think through like a couple of

7:14

years of doing that, I realized like,

7:16

hey, I'm doing okay. I can shape

7:18

my life in whatever way that I

7:20

want. Like it really is up to

7:22

me. And instead of being terrified

7:24

by that, I became empowered by the

7:26

idea. And that is the beginning

7:28

of Lavendaire, my YouTube channel where I

7:30

decided I would share my journey

7:32

as I'm creating my dream life and

7:34

all the lessons that I've learned

7:36

in how to shape that. Cause I

7:38

think when I was like, I've

7:40

always been on YouTube and when I

7:42

was pursuing music, I had a

7:44

music YouTube channel and I would watch

7:46

a bunch of fashion and beauty

7:48

YouTubers. But all the books

7:50

that I read were written by like

7:52

middle -aged white men. Like they were

7:55

like, you know, the Eckhart Tolleys

7:57

and just the classics, right? And

7:59

was... like nobody on YouTube is talking

8:02

about this nobody my age like relatable

8:04

to me is talking about self -help

8:06

and so that's why I ventured off

8:08

to like start my channel and I've

8:10

been doing it for I think four

8:12

and a half years now and now

8:14

the space has grown so much the

8:16

space is like completely different now oh

8:18

yeah and it is a space that

8:20

indeed needed to be tapped upon and

8:22

I'm happy you're one of the pioneers

8:24

of it and it's just amazing how

8:27

opening your eyes like you were in

8:29

college you were assuming that you were

8:31

going to be walking down this traditional

8:33

path and then ultimately you decided to

8:35

follow your heart which led you

8:37

to try so many different things

8:39

and leading you to what you

8:41

do today which you probably couldn't

8:44

even fathom no no idea no

8:46

idea and who knows what's gonna

8:48

even unfold tomorrow or next year

8:50

even though I'm sure you have

8:52

somewhat of an idea or vision

8:54

but you still have no idea

8:56

how it's going to evolve and

8:59

expand and it's going to be

9:01

beyond what you can even fathom

9:03

right now which is so amazing to

9:05

think about and also look at

9:07

you now by the way you

9:09

not only stand out from being

9:11

a shy person which there are

9:13

so many introverts according to the

9:16

facebook group at least so many

9:18

girls say that they are introverted

9:20

and they are looking for help

9:22

in that but you have found

9:24

a way to space up fear

9:26

to stand out and create your

9:28

own unique space and now you

9:30

are teaching people how to consciously

9:32

design their life so I'm just

9:35

so curious from your perspectives and

9:37

the tools you use how can

9:39

we design our dream life too

9:41

oh this is like my favorite

9:43

topic because there are so many

9:45

techniques and so many exercises I

9:47

mean back then I think I

9:49

first dealt I mean personally I've

9:51

always loved journaling even before I

9:53

knew what self -help was I journaled

9:55

just because that's how I get

9:57

in tune with my emotions that's

9:59

how I figure out what I'm

10:01

thinking. So for me, whenever I

10:03

am lost or just, I don't know,

10:05

in a bad place in life, I

10:07

have to journal because I have to, it's

10:09

my way of figuring things out. So

10:11

I think that was like my number one

10:13

tool in just talking to myself in

10:16

my journal, asking me, what do I want?

10:18

What kind of life do I want

10:20

to live? How do I want to feel?

10:22

I think journaling is about asking the

10:24

right questions. And not everybody knows how to

10:26

write, ask the right questions. So that's

10:28

why, like through my YouTube, and I have

10:30

this thing called the Artist of Life

10:32

workbook where I have, you know, journaling prompts

10:34

and exercises and questions. But

10:37

another favorite exercise that I've

10:39

constantly done is called

10:41

the Vivid Vision. So it's

10:43

kind of like where

10:45

you write like a present

10:47

tense, journal prompt of

10:49

what you want in your life. And I think

10:51

the first one I ever wrote, I wrote like

10:53

the giant big picture of my life. I want

10:55

to, you know, I just thought

10:57

of myself like maybe like in my 40s

11:00

at the end of my life or just my

11:02

legacy. What do I want my legacy to

11:04

be? And I tried to paint that picture. And

11:06

then as the years went by, I like the

11:08

timeline became shorter. So now I like

11:10

to write a vivid vision for then like

11:12

three years ahead of now. So look

11:14

forward three years and kind of paint the

11:16

picture of what your life looks like

11:18

in all different areas. And I feel that

11:21

like looking back at the stuff I

11:23

wrote back then, so much of it has

11:25

come true. And it's crazy now because

11:27

I don't know if people would believe me,

11:29

but I'm like, I really wrote all

11:31

of this out back then and it's all

11:33

true now. And it's still coming true,

11:35

you know? It's not amazing to see like

11:37

you forget, you forget what you wrote

11:39

down. And then you look back and you're

11:41

like, Whoa, this manifest, I have chills

11:44

thinking about it because that happens to me

11:46

frequently when I look back. And that's

11:48

why I do like to keep certain journals.

11:50

There are certain journals where I want

11:52

to throw out because it's like I'm just

11:54

writing down my negative or toxic thoughts

11:56

that are just not suiting me. So but

11:58

I want that out that out of

12:00

my space. But as far

12:02

as dreams and manifestations, I like

12:04

to kind of keep on

12:07

to those. Yeah. And back

12:09

to journaling by the way. So journaling

12:11

has clearly changed my world too. What

12:13

are perhaps a few questions that come

12:15

to mind? You were talking about the

12:17

right questions. Maybe one or two right

12:19

questions that come to mind for our

12:21

own self -discovery or self -expansion. To perhaps

12:24

write down right after this episode or

12:26

they can pause and write it in

12:28

their notes right now. Yeah. I think

12:30

in journaling we tend to focus on

12:32

like what's wrong in our lives. So

12:34

an interesting journaling prompt to like make

12:36

yourself feel better is ask yourself what's

12:39

going right in my life right now.

12:41

And you'll have like a lot

12:43

of things going right. Like a lot

12:45

of things are you know functioning

12:47

well like your health as long as

12:49

you're walking, breathing like you're good.

12:51

And I think that prompt it helps

12:53

you be grateful for what you

12:55

already have rather than focusing on all

12:57

the negatives. And I mean another

12:59

one that I like to

13:01

do is I don't know I

13:03

always like to do dreaming and manifesting

13:05

ones. So kind of like imagine what

13:07

is my ideal day or what

13:09

is my ideal year for next

13:12

year. And I like to like

13:14

script those out. What is your

13:16

ideal day? Oh okay. My ideal

13:18

day is I wake up at

13:20

like 10 a .m. I have

13:22

like two to three hours free

13:24

in the morning to just like

13:26

journal meditate, like have tea, chill

13:29

out and then I'll start like

13:31

creating. I actually have fun like

13:33

shooting videos. And so you know

13:35

have a fun shoots. And then

13:37

I don't know like the most main part

13:39

of my day is creativity. I also

13:41

want to do yoga in my day.

13:43

And then skincare. I don't know if

13:45

it's that crazy. It's just a lot

13:48

of self care mixed with creativity. That's

13:50

my ideal day. Well and that's it

13:52

pretty much when I think of you

13:54

and what you share with the world

13:56

I think planning days or dream days

13:58

and self care. Which

14:00

of course we'll also talk about,

14:03

but you really are queen of planning

14:05

your days from your heart. I

14:07

kind of like it feels like you

14:09

have this flow instead of this

14:11

rigid structure. You make it more relatable

14:13

for someone like me who does

14:15

have that more of a free spirit

14:17

where we don't want to be in

14:20

any sort of box or the difference

14:22

between like this very strict structure and

14:24

just like it planning an ideal day

14:26

that but in order to help keep

14:28

us on top of it because if

14:30

listeners are like me and they are

14:32

free spirits that don't really pay attention

14:34

to how their day flows, they kind

14:36

of might get sidetracked and not really

14:39

pursue anything that they want to really

14:41

which I'm definitely guilty of so I

14:43

love that you have and I bought

14:45

it last year the 2018 Artist of

14:47

Life for Work book. I know

14:49

planning and all that is

14:51

not my forte but the beginning

14:53

of it and coming up

14:55

with the ideas like I filled

14:57

it out and I loved

14:59

it and so I am curious

15:01

well one what inspired this

15:03

creation and do you mind talking

15:05

about it and what's new

15:07

maybe in the 2019 Artist of

15:09

Life workbook? Yeah totally so

15:11

back in I would say 2014 I actually

15:13

started doing another bloggers like ebook workbook

15:15

kind of thing it was just a

15:18

digital thing that I did on my

15:20

iPad I just filled out some new

15:22

year questions but she did hers and

15:24

I mean it was a completely different

15:26

style completely different than what it is

15:28

now but that was where I got

15:30

my inspiration to create my own workbook

15:32

because I had a lot of journaling

15:34

prompts and exercises for example one that

15:36

I used to do that I think

15:38

a lot of people like is called

15:40

current me versus future me where you

15:43

draw like a doodle yeah you draw

15:45

a doodle of your current self and

15:47

then you draw a doodle of your

15:49

future self your future ideal self and

15:51

you just kind of fill in the

15:53

differences and all those bubbles and that

15:55

was something that I just did in

15:57

college and because I was so know

16:00

I just was playing around with different

16:02

ways to figure out how to create

16:04

the me that I wanted to be

16:06

but anyway exercises like that that have

16:08

helped me in my journey I put

16:10

all of it into this creation the

16:12

artist of life workbook and it's become

16:14

its own like program like I'm very

16:17

like religious about doing it every single

16:19

year I answer all of the questions

16:21

and then there's also like a monthly

16:23

goals section where each month you write

16:25

down like your goals for the month

16:27

and then you review your month and

16:30

review how you did how you can

16:32

improve for the next month and you

16:34

track your habits there there's a lot like

16:36

trackers things like that to keep you

16:38

accountable towards your goals because I think

16:40

a lot of people set goals and

16:42

they don't really keep track or follow

16:44

through or check in with themselves and

16:47

this workbook is like a tool to

16:49

help you check in with yourself every

16:51

month every quarter and it's nice to

16:53

be able to look back at it

16:55

at the end of the year or

16:57

even like like fast forward a few

16:59

years imagine like seeing your life each

17:01

year in each book like you can

17:03

see the change like that and I

17:05

think that is so magical because that's my

17:08

favorite thing like having a collection of

17:10

journals where you can look back like this

17:12

journal for this year and the previous

17:14

year and the previous year like you can

17:16

see how much I've grown that's so

17:18

amazing we were just talking about that how

17:20

beautiful it is to really reflect back

17:22

and look back and I can't wait to

17:24

see what I wrote when did you

17:27

start it 2016 2017 um 2017 was my

17:29

first one and then before that was

17:31

just like a mess of journals a mess

17:33

of journals yeah but

17:35

yeah I'll look back at them

17:37

every once in a while just to

17:39

see what I wrote back then

17:42

and the struggles that I was going

17:44

through back then I love that

17:46

you write down the struggles too because

17:48

so many people feel like all

17:50

right I gotta stay positive I got

17:52

to know it's so important to

17:55

keep it real and to like let

17:57

that energy out any sort of

17:59

toxicity that's sitting inside of us and

18:01

otherwise we'll continue to feel stressed

18:03

out which I know you have been so helpful with

18:05

helping people manage their stress and alleviate it. So I'm curious, how do

18:08

you cope with and alleviate stress yourself? I actually

18:10

made a video about this recently,

18:12

but like stress, it just happens

18:14

to the best of us and

18:17

it's something that for me I've

18:19

learned to let go a lot

18:21

more because stress is all in

18:23

your mind and it's just your

18:25

mind playing a trick on you

18:28

like freaking out before anything is

18:30

really happening. I mean stress and

18:32

procrastinate stress comes from procrastination usually

18:34

or maybe something you just have

18:37

a lot of things going on

18:39

in your life right now it stresses like

18:41

the fear of uncertainty it's the

18:43

fear of not having the outcome that you

18:45

want and it's not easy to do but

18:48

I like I've learned to let go of

18:50

the outcome in life you know just focus

18:52

on the present moment do your best and

18:55

let go of the result because you really

18:57

can't control what's going to happen. You can't

18:59

control any outcome. All you can control is

19:01

the effort that you put in. So just

19:04

do your best. And not stress over that.

19:06

Yeah. yomis as I've been sharing in the

19:08

finale of this long season of your own

19:11

magic you know I am taking a

19:13

break to simply reset refocus and

19:15

rejuvenate my creativity and part of

19:17

that reset has been prioritizing my

19:19

mental wealth which is investing in

19:21

habits today to build resilience for

19:23

whatever challenges tomorrow might bring and

19:26

so think of mental wealth as

19:28

creating a savings account for your

19:30

mind and when life gets tough

19:32

you've got something to draw on

19:34

and for me it starts with

19:36

five essential pillars of well-being, which

19:38

are sleep, diet, exercise, stress management,

19:41

and supportive tools like Magic Mind.

19:43

Very fitting for your own magic.

19:45

Magic Mind has become a part

19:47

of my routine lately. It was

19:50

created by a scientific advisory board

19:52

of doctors and researchers with over

19:54

10 years of development and 100

19:56

plus iterations to perfect the formula.

19:59

Natural power. ingredients backed by over 200

20:01

scientific studies including organically grown California mushrooms.

20:03

I mean obviously I'm not going to

20:05

over promise a magic fix but I

20:07

love how it's simple. Magic Minds products

20:09

work as tools to enhance focus and

20:12

improve sleep as part of a bigger

20:14

strategy for mental resilience and it's easy.

20:16

You just simply take a shot. You

20:18

take a shot of something. So in

20:20

the morning I take the focus shot

20:22

to help me find clarity, stay sharp

20:25

and feel energized and for a lot

20:27

of people who have a hard time

20:29

with coffee it's nice because it provides

20:31

you that energy without the jitters and

20:33

then after five days or so you

20:35

notice a big difference in your ability

20:37

perhaps to stay on task or manage

20:40

your time. It's that nice boost of

20:42

energy and mental sharpness that we all

20:44

love and need and then in the

20:46

evenings they've got the sleep shot which

20:48

can be a go -to for winding

20:50

down at night. Perhaps you'll feel after

20:52

three days or so more calm more

20:55

relaxed and ready to sink into restorative

20:57

sleep and so for the first time

20:59

ever Magic Mind has bundled these two

21:01

tools into a 24 -hour mental performance

21:03

pack the focus shots and the

21:05

21:43

your mental wealth and starting

21:45

at 2025 stronger than ever

21:47

there are some things you wouldn't

21:49

mind being stuck with like a large

21:51

unexpected inheritance and always on the verge

21:53

of death phone that has to be plugged

21:56

in just right so it charges is

21:58

not one of those things switch to

22:00

Verizon and will pay off your old

22:02

phone. Up to $800 via prepaid MasterCard

22:04

22:06

new line on my plan, additional terms apply

22:13

22:15

offer. See Verizon .com for details. A

22:18

big one I noticed is perfectionism and

22:20

that's something that so many people, especially when

22:22

we're diving into the self -help world, we

22:25

can easily fall into that idea of

22:27

needing to be perfect. Especially when you're also

22:29

a voice and you have this audience

22:31

who you feel like you need to be

22:33

perfect for this audience which is so

22:35

not true. They just want you to be

22:37

you and raw and real. So do

22:40

you ever have check -ins with yourself to

22:42

make sure that you are just being raw

22:44

and real and you are not following this

22:46

ideal of perfectionism or comparing

22:48

yourself to the world? Yeah, totally.

22:50

Especially recently, I feel like I've learned

22:52

to be more honest and authentic

22:54

in my videos especially. I used to

22:56

be more of a perfectionist. I

22:58

think over time, as you create art

23:00

consistently, you just learn to let

23:02

go. I always tell myself done is

23:04

better than perfect. So I'm actually

23:06

not a perfectionist with my videos or

23:08

anything I really create. I'm just

23:10

like, as long as I finish it

23:12

and it's good enough, I'm just

23:14

going to put it out there. That's

23:16

how I think. I used to feel

23:18

that pressure because a lot of

23:21

my videos are positive. I'm motivating and

23:23

so when people meet me, they

23:25

think that I'm perfect. I wake up

23:27

at 5 a .m. and I'm super

23:29

productive. I'm totally not. I'm actually

23:31

a night owl. I love sleeping until

23:33

11 or 12. That's my natural

23:35

body clock schedule. I recently shared that

23:37

in a sleep video. I did

23:39

a sleep challenge where I tried to

23:41

wake up a few hours earlier

23:43

but I had to be honest because

23:46

I was not really good at

23:48

that challenge. I'm a snoozer. It's

23:51

a very imperfect side

23:53

of me but I just decided

23:55

to post it even though the video was not. I

23:57

didn't make that much progress in that video. It

23:59

was a video. of me struggling to wake

24:01

up for a whole week and I

24:03

was almost I was almost not gonna

24:05

post it cuz I'm like this video

24:07

is stupid no nothing happened I'm still

24:10

struggling but I posted it just because

24:12

and like a lot of people actually

24:14

loved it and appreciated like wow you're

24:16

so real like usually people try to

24:18

like I don't know they try to

24:20

be perfect in those videos like oh

24:22

look at me I'm a role model

24:25

like this is how you wake up

24:27

at 7 a .m. I didn't do

24:29

that you know oh my gosh no

24:31

and also so many okay one that's

24:33

not an imperfect or a flaw at

24:35

all to be a night owl I've

24:37

interviewed so many people in this podcast

24:40

and a lot of the very highly

24:42

creatives are also night owls own it

24:44

it's beautiful I'm so happy that you

24:46

did own it and I'm a early

24:48

bird and I'm not even trying to be

24:50

it's just that that's just the way

24:52

I am my dad is we I

24:54

wasn't insomniac but now I just like

24:57

I wake up around 4 a .m.

24:59

or 5 a .m. and that's your natural

25:01

schedule yeah that's fine it's my yeah

25:03

it's my natural rhythm in it I

25:05

notice that I do my creative work

25:07

like I'm writing my book in my

25:09

stories in my poems around the 4

25:11

a .m. 5 a .m. hour whereas night

25:13

yeah whereas a lot of night owls

25:15

they also write or create around those

25:17

hours too it seems as it's quiet

25:20

nobody it's so peaceful yeah

25:22

yes there's so much magic

25:24

in those hours so whether

25:26

you're an early bird or

25:28

a night owl and you

25:30

want to get your creative

25:32

juices flowing perhaps try that

25:34

we hours wouldn't no one

25:36

else's awake the idea of

25:38

comparing yourself that is one

25:40

thing that I think really

25:42

holds most people back primarily

25:44

designing that life that they

25:46

desire they listen to that

25:48

voice that tells them that they're just

25:51

they're not good enough they're not

25:53

worthy enough they're less than someone else

25:55

in some way and so they

25:57

compare their lives to others instead of

25:59

seeing those seemingly thriving

26:01

beings as just expanders or

26:03

role models and so

26:05

have you ever sat in

26:07

that seat where you

26:09

are comparing yourself to others

26:11

and then that perhaps held

26:13

you back for a bit but

26:15

you somehow shifted that because look

26:17

now you are doing your own

26:19

thing if you're staying in your

26:21

own lane and it seems as

26:23

though you're not really allowing comparison

26:25

to get the best of I honestly

26:27

think that it happens to all of

26:30

us because I've been there too I've

26:32

been stuck there comparing or feeling bad

26:34

about where I am in life because

26:36

I'm looking at oh where this person

26:38

is what they're doing and I I

26:40

think it comes from I think even

26:42

like in school back then I would

26:44

like compare myself to my peers and

26:46

feel a little competitive and it's not

26:48

healthy because I think growing older I

26:50

realized that each one of

26:52

us is so special

26:54

so unique that like no one

26:56

can do you better than you and

26:58

your job is to just trust in

27:00

yourself and bring that to the world

27:03

and that is your best chance at

27:05

life because and it's just such a

27:07

waste of time and energy to compare

27:09

yourself and your light to others because

27:11

each one is unique and one okay

27:13

this I have this metaphor that came

27:15

to me and I want to make

27:17

like a fun video concept on this

27:19

but if you look at like a

27:21

flower say like a rose versus like

27:23

a peony or a daisy like which

27:25

one is more beautiful it's so subjective which

27:27

one is better like there's no

27:29

better there's no more beautiful each one

27:31

is just unique and actually if

27:33

you put a bunch of different flowers

27:35

together they make a really cute

27:38

bouquet and it actually enhances like the

27:40

beauty right so rather than trying

27:42

to be something you're not or comparing

27:44

yourself to another just know that

27:46

it's impossible to compare yourself to someone

27:48

else because you're so different and

27:50

the fact if you like instead collaborate

27:53

support and lift each other up

27:55

and come together you create something much

27:57

more beautiful than you could have

27:59

done just Ah yes amen right and

28:01

please make that video that sounds

28:03

I know and beautiful yeah love

28:05

it how do you schedule and

28:07

figure out your videos you come

28:09

up with the idea and then

28:11

how do you plan it mmm

28:13

So I usually keep like a

28:15

Google Doc of a bunch of

28:17

ideas that I have, but usually

28:19

like, before I go to bed,

28:21

I have a bunch of ideas

28:23

come to me, so I'll just

28:26

write them down in my phone.

28:28

So the way I tackle it,

28:30

it just depends. Sometimes I just

28:32

make whatever video I'll just write

28:34

them down in my phone. So

28:36

the way I tackle it, it

28:38

just depends. Sometimes I just make

28:40

whatever new years coming out. between

28:42

kind of like what you want

28:44

to do what you think your

28:46

audience wants to see and I

28:48

usually I schedule out maybe like

28:50

a month's worth of content in

28:52

advance and I shoot I try

28:54

to shoot to a day like

28:56

on I shoot during my week

28:58

I shoot on like Mondays and

29:00

Tuesdays so I'll shoot like one

29:02

to two videos a day and

29:04

then now I have a video

29:06

editor who helps me with that

29:08

so I'll edit like some videos

29:11

but I'll give some to my

29:13

editor to edit and yeah we

29:15

just schedule it out that way.

29:17

I love hearing people's creative processes.

29:19

Some of your favorite videos in

29:21

mind by the way are your

29:23

self-love and your self-care ones and

29:25

I love that you make the

29:27

time for yourself to show up

29:29

not only for yourself and perhaps

29:31

for those you love, your friends,

29:33

your family, but also your audience

29:35

because when you do actually film

29:37

that video it feels as if

29:39

your energy is in your best

29:41

and high vibe state just to

29:43

really show up authentically. in spirit

29:45

for us. I also for my

29:47

podcast I like to get into

29:49

alignment and practice a lot of

29:51

self-care to really show up in

29:53

a high vibing and in spirit

29:55

state and so one thing that

29:58

you taught me is to have

30:00

self-care dates to also check in

30:02

and make sure which I love

30:04

just make sure that you have

30:06

this time so do you mind

30:08

talking about the importance of self-care

30:10

and what is a self-care date?

30:12

totally. Self-care is so necessary and

30:14

I think the problem is some

30:16

people don't see it as a

30:18

practice. Self-care is not something you

30:20

do once and you're like okay

30:22

I'm good. It's like an ongoing

30:24

thing to like do whatever you

30:26

need to do to take care

30:28

of yourself to make yourself feel

30:30

fulfilled and at peace and centered

30:32

because life throws us in all

30:34

different directions. So we get stressed

30:36

out, we get flustered or anxious

30:38

and self-care is knowing what activities

30:41

or habits, make yourself just... like

30:43

calm down feel good for me

30:45

it's meditating journaling even cleaning up

30:47

my space can make me feel

30:49

so good I feel so refreshed

30:51

after like washing some dishes like

30:53

cleaning up a little bit and

30:55

it just makes like such a

30:57

physical difference in your life so

30:59

just take note of those things

31:01

that make you feel amazing and

31:03

make it like a regular routine

31:05

to do it whether it's like

31:07

every Sunday every other Sunday or

31:10

even like once a month at

31:12

least you know yeah absolutely so

31:14

do you do you have a

31:16

cleaning a day do you have

31:18

like a certain day of the

31:20

week you clean it's usually like

31:22

Sundays or when I can't take

31:24

it anymore. Exactly. Honestly that was

31:27

right before this podcast I couldn't

31:29

take it anymore so I just

31:31

cleaned and I feel like oh

31:33

I can breathe. Exactly. Also what

31:35

does self-love mean to you and

31:37

do you have any practices to

31:40

check in with yourself and

31:42

remind yourself of your own love? finding

31:44

love for yourself the kind of love

31:46

that you would have for like your

31:49

parents your loved ones your friends like

31:51

like a true love and treating yourself

31:53

as if you are your own best

31:56

friend like you should be your own

31:58

best friend you should be like having

32:00

your own back at all costs and

32:02

do everything that you do in life

32:04

everything that you surround yourself with should

32:06

be there to support you and lift

32:08

you up and I think I don't

32:11

know whether where it comes from but

32:13

we tend to be so critical

32:15

on ourselves and that voice is

32:17

it's so detrimental to like our

32:19

mental health and how our confidence

32:21

all of that and self-love is

32:23

learning to kind of like be aware

32:25

of that voice and say like okay I

32:27

hear you but you're not true I know

32:29

that there is a deeper love within me

32:31

that I can cultivate for myself

32:34

so it's yeah it's kind of like

32:36

going against your mind because your mind

32:38

will just think you know but you

32:40

have to realize that you are so

32:43

worthy and if you're not going to

32:45

protect yourself and care for yourself like

32:47

who is you you got to be

32:49

there for yourself you've got to be

32:51

the number one You're right, who is?

32:53

I mean, yeah, there are people that

32:55

really love you too and they'll show

32:57

you, but you really won't believe it

32:59

until you can see it and see

33:01

your light, you know, and I've been

33:04

there so many times where people could

33:06

tell me that I'm the most amazing

33:08

person and they could be... truly feeling

33:10

it but I was like you are

33:12

a lie and I know and that's

33:14

such a waste yeah yeah oh yeah

33:16

and that's not a great state to

33:18

be in and so doing what you

33:21

can even like little practices like affirmations

33:23

have you ever read I mean you've

33:25

been reading a lot of self-help books

33:27

forever so I'm sure you have but

33:29

Louise Hay did you ever read any

33:32

of her affirmation books like you can

33:34

heal your life I've like skimmed through

33:36

it and like sat down and really

33:38

read through a book Also, a year

33:40

ago you posted a video on how

33:43

to work with the Universal Law

33:45

of Attraction, which so many

33:47

of the listeners are of

33:50

course so into and they're

33:52

either just starting to dive

33:54

into it or they've been

33:56

practicing it for a while

33:59

and there's just so much out

34:01

there on this topic. And I feel

34:03

like what most people share is pretty

34:05

simple. It's like the basics of it,

34:07

you know, which is, it's so important

34:10

to have a foundation. But you've been

34:12

in this work for a while, and

34:14

so it goes beyond that, which is

34:16

great. And I don't see many people

34:19

as well who are talking about it

34:21

really, truly thriving and living it. But

34:23

you do. I mean, you truly are,

34:25

you actually literally created something where we

34:27

could write down our dreams. than manifest,

34:30

but you know? So do you mind

34:32

touching on what law of attraction means

34:34

to you and how you manifested this

34:36

life that you've dreamed of, what you

34:38

talked about, but how you believe you

34:40

worked with the law of attraction to

34:43

manifest this life? I remember the first

34:45

time I heard about law of attraction,

34:47

it just sounded so like crazy and

34:49

a little phony, right? Like you're like,

34:51

what the heck? It has to be

34:53

that simple, but the more that you

34:56

put, like you practice it, like you

34:58

see it everywhere. So a lot of

35:00

attraction basically is the idea that

35:02

thoughts attract, like, hmm, how do

35:05

I say it, like attracts, like

35:07

thoughts become things, your thoughts have

35:10

the power to shape reality. And

35:12

I think the basics of it is

35:14

everything that you want to

35:16

create in your life, it has to

35:18

first be a thought. You have the

35:20

first... believe it and think it's before

35:23

you can even like manifest it and

35:25

make it real. So for me I

35:27

practice it in ways like kind of

35:29

like the vivid vision journaling writing out

35:31

in present tense what I want in

35:33

my life. It has to be in

35:35

present tense because you have to feel

35:37

that you already have it and feeling

35:40

that you already have that thing. It

35:42

creates this tension that in the universe like

35:44

this if you believe in like energy and

35:46

such but it creates this tension that kind

35:48

of pulls that reality closer to you and

35:50

there are tons of stories on law of

35:53

attraction you can just Google like celebrity law

35:55

of attraction stories but for example like Jim

35:57

Kerry wrote like a check to himself for

35:59

Africa. the number like maybe like a

36:01

million dollars was it oh wait it

36:04

was 10 million well was it 10

36:06

million wow isn't crazy yeah like he

36:08

was a starving actor but he wrote

36:10

a check to himself and kept it

36:12

with him at all times and fast

36:15

forward you know that was his

36:17

little exercise to manifest one of

36:19

his like hugest movie deals and

36:21

there are so many stories like

36:23

that and even for me like

36:26

everything that I have in my life

36:28

now back then it was just a

36:30

thought and I'm not kidding you this

36:32

is so cheesy but even before I

36:34

okay let's say like the first few

36:36

months of me starting lavender this is

36:38

2014 I had like 50 subscribers like

36:40

in my mind before I went to

36:42

sleep I would repeat to myself these

36:44

phrases like I am an inspiring creator

36:47

like reaching millions of people all

36:49

over the world like I would

36:51

tell those things to myself every

36:53

night before bed and it sounds

36:55

so cheesy especially back then when

36:57

you're like a nobody. But now,

36:59

like, I have an audience that's

37:01

global and I have, you know

37:03

what I mean? Like, it's crazy.

37:05

Yeah, it's not crazy though.

37:07

That's just, it's just how

37:09

it works. And this audience,

37:11

most are just so highly

37:14

intuitive and conscious and they

37:16

get it. And so what

37:18

you're saying is not cheesy

37:20

at all. It's just the

37:22

beauty of. this universal law

37:24

that we are learning

37:26

to work with and

37:28

see that we don't

37:31

have to be stuck

37:33

behind what society thinks

37:35

or what our minds tell

37:37

us we should be. I'm

37:41

curious now for your vivid vision.

37:44

What is your vivid vision? For

37:46

2019, you don't have to talk

37:48

about anything personal if you don't

37:50

want to. Yeah. I already decided

37:52

I wanted to be more about

37:54

exploring and experiencing new things. I

37:56

think I've been focusing a lot.

37:58

That's right, you have a... word. I've

38:00

loved it. Yeah, I have, I have

38:02

a theme for my year. Like, 2018 was

38:04

lead with light, like, bring light into

38:06

everything I do, try to be

38:08

a leader. Try. You've already been. Yeah.

38:12

I was trying. But, um, for example,

38:14

one of my ass, one of the aspects

38:16

of my dream life, I always wanted to

38:18

be able to like work from anywhere in

38:20

the world and be able to travel, but

38:22

travel to like actually meet and collaborate with

38:24

people. So I haven't done that as much

38:26

as I wanted to. And I think now

38:29

I'm at a stage where like my career

38:31

is stable enough that I can afford to

38:33

do that. And I was like, yeah, nothing's

38:35

holding me back for like from staying here.

38:37

So I should just go. So next year

38:39

I want to travel to like Australia,

38:41

Asia, live out there for maybe a month

38:43

or we'll see where it takes me.

38:45

But like longer periods of like working.

38:48

Yeah. Yes,

38:50

get out there in the world.

38:52

And oh my gosh, I wait

38:54

to see what kind of videos

38:56

that spark, especially, okay, go to

38:59

somewhere in Asia like Bali or

39:01

Thailand. And I promise you these

39:03

creative ideas will just flow and

39:05

you will have and know it

39:07

because there's something about the energy

39:10

there. I'm telling you, it's fascinating.

39:12

So I can't wait for you

39:14

to have that experience next year. I

39:16

love it. Explore. Oh

39:18

my gosh. Well, are you

39:20

ready for a rapid fire?

39:22

Yes. Amazing. So I already

39:24

know the first one. I'll

39:27

answer, are you a morning

39:29

or night person night night

39:31

person next one, dog or

39:33

cat person dogs for sure.

39:35

What is your go to breakfast? cereal

39:39

and almond milk. How

39:41

about go to dinner? Like

39:44

noodles, like noodle soup, Asian noodle soup,

39:46

chocolate or vanilla, chocolate. Are you

39:48

single or are you with someone special?

39:50

I don't know if you want

39:53

to discuss. I'm with someone. Yeah, I've

39:55

been dating for like over 10

39:57

years, my boyfriend. Really?

39:59

Yeah. He's so locate, he's

40:01

so like doesn't want to

40:04

be on camera, doesn't like

40:06

to be part of it.

40:08

Yeah, that's actually nice. It's

40:11

like your two separate worlds.

40:13

Well then what is your favorite

40:15

date with him? What do you

40:18

mean by date? Like what do

40:20

we do? Yeah, like a date

40:22

with you too. Doing something. have

40:25

a favorite we really love to

40:27

eat Asian food together but I

40:29

like to do adventurous things like

40:31

go to like Disneyland or like

40:34

this Friday we're going to like

40:36

the Harry Potter world in LA

40:38

and I'm excited about that. What

40:40

Harry Potter school are you? I think

40:42

I'm Ravenclaw. Oh yeah I see that.

40:44

Yeah. What are you? What's the one that

40:46

is also, that's Ravenclaw, right? The brainy

40:48

one? There's Hufflepuffin. Oh, Ravenclaw is the

40:50

one that likes to read. Yes, that

40:52

was the one. My old co-host was

40:54

the one that told me and then

40:56

we did like a quiz and I'm

40:58

Ravenclaw, but I can also be very

41:00

Huffle buff because I'm a little crazed

41:02

too. What is your favorite type of

41:05

exercise? Yoga. Yoga. Yeah, what kind of

41:07

yoga do you do you do you

41:09

do you do you do you do?

41:11

I think it's, I mean I do hot

41:13

yoga, I think it's called, what it's called,

41:15

yeah. Bikram or like just a hot

41:17

power flow? I think it's just hot

41:19

power flow. My favorite, my absolute

41:22

favorite, yeah. How about meditation? I

41:24

just sit there and focus on

41:26

my breath. Is there, I don't

41:28

know if there's a name for

41:30

it. That's perfect. Yeah, there's, I

41:32

mean, I guess mindfulness, there's really,

41:35

but you know, it's just like

41:37

being there with being there with

41:39

your breath. just smell lavender for

41:41

the rest of your life or only

41:43

see the color lavender for the rest

41:46

of your life. Not the only color,

41:48

but you can either smell it or

41:50

you can see it. You can't have

41:52

both. Which one would you choose? See

41:55

it, because I love colors and I

41:57

think the smell I would get sick

41:59

of it. Right? Yeah? Well, it's not like

42:01

your only smell, but you just wouldn't be

42:03

able to ever see. Oh, no, no, no.

42:05

I have to see colors. Like, I have

42:08

a good color eye and color, so important

42:10

to me. You do. I mean, look at

42:12

your hair. What's your hair color today?

42:14

It's very neutral right now. It's like

42:16

a light brown. It's not a specific

42:18

color. I love that. Yeah. How about

42:21

what type of music do you like

42:23

to listen to when you like to

42:25

listen to when you work? Oh, when

42:27

I work, I like to put on,

42:30

there's a Spotify playlist called like Deep

42:32

Focus, where it's just like... Yes, me

42:34

too. Sometimes intense music that gets you

42:36

in the flow. I also like to

42:38

listen to like piano music, whether it's

42:41

peaceful piano or like even Mozart. Like

42:43

when I was creating the workbook,

42:45

I was listening to Mozart. No

42:47

wonder. There's such a great flow

42:49

to it. Oh, me too though.

42:52

Piano and that deep focus playlist

42:54

playlist playlist on Spotify. YouTube for

42:56

your own entertainment.

42:58

Actually Netflix. Yeah, what

43:00

shows do you watch? What

43:02

shows do I watch? I

43:05

watch some like Asian shows

43:07

like Terrace House. Yep. My

43:09

niece loves that. She's Japanese

43:11

and we watch, we binge

43:13

watch like the entire Aloha

43:15

State one. Oh, there's a

43:17

helicopter? Oh, it's great. No,

43:19

that show is like slow

43:22

for most people, but I

43:24

don't know why it's just

43:26

so fun to watch. The

43:28

commentators are so funny. I

43:30

love him. Yeah. He's so

43:32

funny. He's hilarious. Yeah. All right,

43:34

book you're currently reading. Uh, what

43:37

am I reading? Oh, it's called

43:39

The Artist Journey by Stephen Pressfield.

43:41

Yeah! If you had to describe

43:43

2018 in one word, what would

43:45

that word be? The word is,

43:47

I would say like, breakout. Because

43:49

this is the year that I,

43:52

like, I got an apartment, moved in

43:54

with my boyfriend. I kind of,

43:56

we created like a new life

43:58

for us together. and there's

44:00

a lot of new things

44:03

happening. Do you have a

44:05

favorite crystal? I guess rose quartz.

44:07

Yeah, but I'm not super

44:09

into crystals, so I'm not

44:12

that knowledgeable. What about you?

44:14

Right. I like Selenite right

44:16

now. It truly changes

44:18

probably every other month

44:21

for me. Yeah. Define

44:23

artist. An artist is

44:25

a creator. Simply somebody

44:27

who taps into their

44:29

soul. something that something

44:32

from nothing kind of

44:34

I love that define life life

44:36

to me I see life

44:38

as a school like we're

44:41

all here to grow experience

44:43

and learn so I lean the

44:46

universe gave you free

44:48

billboards to share one

44:50

message across the main

44:52

highways in major cities

44:55

all around the world

44:57

What would these billboards read?

44:59

That's such a good question.

45:01

I like it. I would probably

45:03

write, be kind and stay true

45:06

to your heart. Yeah. I think

45:08

that the most simple messages out

45:10

there are really the ones that

45:12

are the most resonating with the

45:14

soul. So, one last question that

45:17

I ask all of the year

45:19

on Magic Guess, how... Hold on,

45:21

I'm going to ask it after

45:23

this trick. Just sides too. I

45:25

deal with that too. There's so

45:28

much traffic when I'm filming videos.

45:30

Like cars. Do you live close

45:32

to a highway? Not a highway,

45:34

but I live on like a

45:36

main street. So there's a lot of

45:39

like cars. Are you in LA or?

45:41

I live in Pasadena actually. That's right.

45:43

That's right. I knew you lived in

45:46

around LA. Where are you? I'm in

45:48

Hawaii. I know, I'm excited

45:50

for you to travel. That's what I've

45:52

been doing the past two years and

45:54

it's just, ugh, everything. But now I'm

45:56

ready to settle for a while. Right.

45:58

I think you need both. Like, sometimes

46:00

I feel like settling, sometimes I just

46:02

need to get out. It's so

46:04

important to have that balance. So one

46:07

last question. I ask all the

46:09

Euro magic guests, how would you advise

46:11

the Euro and magic listeners to

46:13

create their own magic? Start with what

46:15

you have. Know that you have

46:17

gifts, you have a value that only

46:19

you can bring, that no one

46:22

else can bring, and have fun with

46:24

whatever you do. Like bring joy

46:26

and light into everything you do. Thank

46:28

you. For bringing your light here

46:30

today. You're so sweet. Also where can

46:32

everyone find you all over the

46:34

internet? Okay, they can find me at

46:36

Lavendaire and I'm, it's the same

46:39

name on YouTube. I have a podcast

46:41

called the Lavendaire Lifestyle, but yeah,

46:43

YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, everything is Lavendaire. Amazing.

46:45

And of course, going to put

46:47

that in the show notes. All right.

46:49

Oh, this has been so amazing.

46:51

I can't wait for everyone to design

46:54

their life after hearing your wisdom

46:56

and dig into all the content and

46:58

everything you have to offer out

47:00

there. Thank you so much for having

47:02

me. Yomis,

47:34

hope you have a magical rest

47:36

of your day. There

47:54

are some things you

47:56

wouldn't mind being stuck

47:58

with like a large

48:00

unexpected inheritance and always

48:02

on the verge of death phone that has

48:04

to be plugged in just right so it

48:07

charges is not one of those things. Switch

48:29

in your light here today. You're so

48:31

sweet. Also, where can everyone find you

48:33

all over the internet? Okay, they can

48:36

find me at Lavender and I'm, it's

48:38

the same name on YouTube. I

48:40

have a podcast called The Lavender

48:42

Lifestyle, but yeah, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook,

48:44

everything is Lavender. Amazing and of

48:46

course, I'm gonna put that in

48:49

the show notes. All right, oh

48:51

this has been so amazing, I

48:53

can't wait for everyone to design

48:55

their life after hearing your wisdom

48:57

and dig into all the content

49:00

and everything you have to offer out

49:02

there. Thank you so much for having

49:04

me. Yomis,

49:07

that is a wrap. I hope

49:09

this episode was expanding for you

49:11

in some way, shape, or form.

49:13

Feel free to visit our site

49:16

at your own magic.com or check

49:18

out my shop, eyes of Aspen.com.

49:20

Connect with the other your own

49:22

magic listeners. We would love to

49:24

see more conversation started on the

49:26

your own magic Facebook group. So

49:28

with all that

49:31

being said, thank

49:34

you so much

49:37

again for tuning

49:40

in and I

49:42

hope you have
