Young heroes bound in love and kinship are forced on a quest to discover the truth behind the magic of dragons and seek those that stole it, before their world itself is destroyed by the growing power of the Dark Army.. Raised by former knights in hiding, they have grown up taking on different skills, each one unique and valuable to each other. Not only use of magic or mastery of a sword they are also tied to a great destiny. A destiny foretold in lost tomes they have yet to discover, but their world is cloaked in a great shadow that is spreading like a sickness which they seek to overcome. Young Cordelia the fire mage, squire-in-training Benedict, sailor Zorin and the deadly swordmaster Sophie fall under the tutelage of Elloveve Hawklight. a secretive yet legendary elven scout archer when their home town of OallEnAkhan is destroyed. Destroyed by the local Justice, and Zorin’s father, Lord Pallus and his Dark Army. An army growing increasingly more powerful with the addition of a powerful dark cleric of an evil queen of death and her legions of dragons. Finding themselves a decade older yet escaping the ashes of yet another lost home they set out to find passage across the great sea to the Ivory Library. Seeking knowledge within its infinite halls guarded by the ancient order of Stone Monks Cordelia finds the answer. They must find the dragons of virtue and seek their help to turn the tide. All knowledge has its price though, and Cordelia must pay for it by recording her own story, and reliving the worst night of her life all over again. This is what takes place in just the first season of this clean family-friendly, fantasy epic. Originally created simply to record the events of a collaborative roleplaying game it has now grown to a production including over 80 voice actors, original scoring and sound design by the game master himself, and resulting in hours of quality entertainment. Many of the echoes of life’s struggles came out organically at the table between the players as friends and were captured in the story. Struggles that come with lessons, and overall those lessons are to be a better person, both to those around them as well as themselves. You can also find our transcripts at Codex.DiceTowerTheatre.com to follow along with the script and story.

Penance RPG is a homebrew style of RPG podcast created out of the belief that actual play storytelling should allow for not only free player choice for any and every decision but equal consequences to these decisions. We believe this allows for an organic style of storytelling rarely seen anywhere else whilst still retaining a deep love for fantastical tales of castles and characters. As all bard’s tales should, we work to not only tell our own tales of heroism and heretics, but also blend our own ideas with tales that have passed around the fires many times over to create fresh blood for older stories, telling them in such a manner that breathes new life and a different style to a tale that some of you may have heard more than 956877 times before....We offer lovable characters, dastardly villains, dangerous scenery and chaotic situations all in an attempt to bring you something different from your standard dungeon crawl.

Welcome to Pod Against the Machine, the only Actual Play podcast that specifically mentions its opposition to the machine in the title. We’re a ragtag group of five creating an epic story while playing through the Iron Gods Pathfinder First Edition adventure path from Paizo publishing. It’s like Dungeons and Dragons, complete with wizards, monsters, and skeletons...but with an added bonus of evil robots and horrifying aliens, all tied together with our (hopefully) funny banter, interesting characters, and edge-of-your-seat action.
