Nostalgia is a funny thing. Six friends discussing it is even funnier.Join us as we reflect on some of the best and worst movies from last century and rewatch them On Second Watch. Did they get better with age? Worse? Only one way to find out...Join Tim, Chris, Dana, Kari, Nikki, and Dan as we plunge head first into the movies we grew up on and discuss our nostalgia for them. We'll provide both our Nostalgia Score and Rewatch Score to see if the movie aged well, or if it should stay in last century. We have fun with our show by playing a game of Plot Summary Mad Libs, where we take the plot of the movie make it awkward and mostly dirty with new nouns, adjectives, and verbs. We also have many bonus episodes, such as special interviews with those in the entertainment industry, and our popular "How Would Sean Bean Have Died?" where we cast and kill our favorite Yorkshireman in the movies he was not cast.Stay up to date on all our episodes, giveaways, and fun at www.oswpodcast.com [http://www.oswpodcast.com/]

It’s the 1990s in the Pacific Northwest. A march of chainsaws clear-cuts the country’s last available old growth forests. Protesters spend months sitting in the tallest trees in the world. And at the center, the northern spotted owl becomes the most controversial bird in the country. The "Timber Wars" podcast tells the story of how this conflict reshaped the Northwest and the nation as a whole, and transformed the way we see—and fight over—the natural world."Listeners are left with both an appreciation of the magnificence of old growth forests and the toll paid by logging communities when those forests were protected. Environmentalists and loggers don't agree on much, but I think they will concur that 'Timber Wars' is fair and brilliant journalism."—"New York Times" columnist and Oregon-native Nicholas KristofWith original music by singer-songwriter Laura Gibson.Winner of the National Headliner Award for Narrative Podcast, the MIT Knight Science Journalism Program’s Victor K. McElheny Award, Society of Professional Journalism awards for Audio Series and Audio Feature-Hard News, and more.

Who has a good grasp on reality? No one! Trust us. We're insane enough to broadcast mental-health audits on anyone the media throws our way. From the strange things people post online, to forgotten televised 15 minutes of fame stars- we use our first hand experiences, comedy, and intuition to figure out what they were thinking. Maybe people are being a little extra these days… or completely sane, considering. It’s your call! But we’re all in agreement that it’s a sanity fair.

Being born in the late 70s, they believe that the 80s and 90s were the last truly great decades but, can you remember what was popular in music, film and TV? Do you recall your first love, bunking off school, music festivals and more? Join James, Phil & Rich - friends of more than 30 years - as, every episode, they discuss and reminisce about a single year. Was growing up in the 80s & 90s really as good as they remember it? Did it improve with age in the 00s? Take a hilarious trip down memory lane with 3 Essex Boys, several beers, lots of wine gums and just a few scribbled notes to guide them. Now they're taking on a host of single topics and casting their obscure minds over them all. Their minds are willing but are they able? They're Not Faulty, Just Blank. Hosted on Acast.
