RATING
This was exactly the kind of adventure I yearned for, with the right balance of character development and great worldbuilding. The narration was impeccable paired with the sound design, like an audiobook come to life. While the first two seasons hooked me every minute of the journey, the third felt a bit dragged and different. Nevertheless, I'd highly recommend this for anyone looking for a laid-back western adventure.
Excellent sound design and a beautiful story to tell. I loved the dreamscapes and the thrill of adventure without too many characters to crowd the story. It was easy to follow and gripping to the very end. Season 1 ended on a soft cliffhanger so fingers crossed we get the next season very soon!
I thought I'd only listen to the main four seasons, but with a cast and world so gripping, I found myself consuming it all the way to the end. This fresh take on superpowers doesn't focus on grand battles, it deals more with the psychology these 'heroes' undergo, from dealing with school life to understanding what they want. It's very real and grounded, great character growth and a foreboding thrill in the background. Every season changed it up and had something new to offer, with impeccable sound design. I was only slightly disappointed by the way they handled major conflict resolutions, which felt a bit subdued, but nevertheless a great laidback show to enjoy.
