Once Upon a Gene is a podcast for all; physicians, teachers, therapists, families, and so on. Everything you need to know about rare diseases summed up into intriguing, heartfelt, inspiring podcasts. I started listening to learn more about families' struggles, triumphs and journey with rare disease. I've learned about these topics and so much more. As a master's student, I used content from Effie's podcasts for rationale and background research for my own rare disease project. I suggest this project to my family, friends, classmates and future patients. I almost forgot, my favorite part of the podcast is hearing Ford's adorable laugh.
