Highlights from the conversation:
Niche – It is important to not just be better than other advisors, but to be so unique for a set of clients that you cannot be compared.
Overcoming reason not to niche – You don’t have to bet the farm when it comes to establishing a niche. You can simply start with a page on your website and build from there. One experiment to start.
Ways to Niche – Passion, aptitude and a group of people that have the resources to engage with your services.
Time (1 to 3 years) - It does take time. For someone to know, like and trust you there isn’t an easy way to fast forward the process.
Think ecosystem, not funnel – Often we think of marketing as a singular funnel. Kristen explains that it is often the coordination of multiple activities related to a specific niche that builds trust for prospects to become clients.
